It looks like the ML movie is gonna be on Netflix instead of theaters here and I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed! I kinda wanted to hang out with other ml fans irl for a bit, all incognito but maybe wearing one of my pins to see if anyone recognized it.

I AM glad that this should mean I can watch it in French, though. And also that it will be easier/cheaper to watch.

It's a musical!

The criminally insane difference between Marinette's speaking voice and singing voice. But then again, I am a huge fan of Lou and she sings so beautifully

What happened to Adrien's modeling career?!?!?!

Alya is a real one for befriending Marinette despite the rumors (the other kids are jerks)

Gotta give credit to everyone who worked in the movie for making it much better than the show! I feel like the show would be so much more enjoyable if they took the set storyline from the movie and expanded it without all of the inconsistencies and controversies that the show has, because this would be a show I want to see. I laughed, I happy stimmed with glee, I cried, and repeat. Overall 100000/10

I saw all of the posts about marinette's singing voice in the movie being different but I really wasn't expecting it to be that much of a change

Its a pretty big difference in the english dub.

I honestly got used to it, but I do think I would have preferred Marinette's english VA singing. It is an adjustment but still a good singing voice

Lou and Elliott have very nice singing voices, but I really think they should've let Marinette and Adrien's regular voice actors sing the songs. If they really wanted to use those singers they could've just had them sing songs for the end credits and/or release their interpretations of the songs as an album. Hearing Lou sing is particularly jarring due to how different her voice sounds from Marinette's VA.

They also both over-sing. Like they're just trying way too hard to Perform™, and that's just not how you're supposed to sing in a musical.

Hung out w Sushi yesterday and we watched more Boys Over Flowers and the new Miraculous movie. I swear I was screaming laughing at one point, I am so glad we could be loud in peace. I hope y’all know the reason Cristina Vee didn’t sing for the movie is because Lou (the french VA) offered to sing for her in English. I’m sure they saw this as an easy path and Cristina probably wasn’t bothered since they’re both voicing Marinette.

Guys. It’s been like 6 months since I saw the Miraculous movie on Netflix. And I’m STILL salty that this song was cut. Back in 2019 this was our only crumb for the plot of the movie. We knew it was coming out after season 5. The song had hints of reverse-love-square or even a collapsed love square. I was HYPED.

Even after discovering that the movie was simply Jeremy Zag’s rewrite of the first 5 seasons and an AU telling of the Agreste Saga, I was still hyped to hear this song.

“Stronger Together” is a great song. I did love it as the romance duet of the movie, but I was still so hyped to hear “The Wall Between Us”. I had been listening to it countlessly for 3 years. The movie concludes, and.... it’s nowhere! OK, maybe it’s the closing theme music? Nope. “Stronger Together” again. “The Wall Between Us” is just.... gone. And I don’t even remember hearing news of it being cut. The song that was the FIRST promo for the movie... and... *poof*!

What’s worse is that “The Wall Between Us” is not only still listed under the movie’s soundtrack on IMDb, but it’s also the ONLY song listed under the movie’s soundtrack!

I think I’ll forever be saddened that we never actually got Marinette and Adrien officially singing this song to each other....
