Monster Monday: you work for a small bookstore and are paired up with Were!Bucky (maybe he's a white werewolf). You're both a little shy upon meeting but he knows you are the one
“That’s a good book.” Bucky is startled by your voice and the leather bound classic falls from his hands to the library floor with a loud plop that stirs attention from the few people down the same aisle he’s in.
“Y-yeah,” he stutters as he licks his lips and bends down to grab the book, startled and stuttering as he catches a fresh wave of your scent, “my ma read it to me as a child.”
He smiled small, nostalgic in nature as he thinks of his ma and the books Bucky would stack by his bed before actually sleeping. He had hoped she would read one then another and then another, staving off the finality of bed time.
Sometimes she would sit by his bed and read as many as he wanted, and other times it would be a quick book then a kiss Goodnight.
“See the sticker? That’s my recommendation.” You reach out toward the book and point toward the sticker, the radiation of your naturally pretty scent stirring a heady reaction in Bucky.
“Your recommendation?” He questioned, raising and eyebrow in time with his fingers that had run through his dark brown locks.
“Oh,” you squeaked and rubbed your hands on your skirt, “I should have clarified. I own this bookstore, I’m the owner and that’s my book. Recommendation, my book recommendation. I mean technically its my book since I purchased it to sell it but I-“
“I understand,” Bucky is amazed, wondrously captivated by you in your dark navy skirt and the deep red cardigan you’re wearing that could easily be his two new favourite colours, “what you’re trying to say. Its a good book.”
“It is! My favourite scenes have to be the pivotal moment where they finally break-“
“-and have to be honest with each other.” Bucky had nodded in understanding, appreciating the details he hadn’t picked up on when he was younger.
“Yeah.” You brushed your hands down your skirt again then grabbed the seams of your skirt with a nervous tick. “Do you need help with anything.”
“I was just…wanting this book.” Bucky had felt himself sigh, his eyes sweeping over you as a streak of bashfulness had overtaken him.
He was a monster, a white werewolf looking for love and he thinks he found it.
“You made a good choice.” Your voice was as quiet as his was, subtly looking him over.
“You gave a good recommendation.” Bucky had smile charmingly, bright and wide.
“Thank you.” You had lightly bowed your head and then threw a look over your shoulder. “I won’t bother you.”
Bucky wished he could tell you that you weren’t bothering him, that you were giving him more company and solace than he thinks he’d ever had.
But he doesn’t say anything, not until you’re starting to walking away and then he speaks.
“Bucky,” he calls out to you, “my name is Bucky.”
“Nice to meet you, Bucky.” You smiled at him, gently and warmly, and he feels the earth swept from under him.
He waits until he’s paid and outside before he finds his phone and lifts it to his ear, speaking with an airy exhale. “Steve, I met someone. I met someone great.”

Monster match up Monday!
wear panther Andy goes on a second date with his reader and decides to take her to a fair. The only stuffed animal she wants him to win is a rainbow panther one, saying it will make her think of him. There will definitely be a kiss
It was a nice change seeing Andy out of the suit and tie, and although you’d only seen him once before in his business attire, there was no denying that Andy Barber wearing a pair of dark wash jeans and a plain,’ordinary dark shirt. It was nothing spectacular in the slightest yet hadn’t even remotely deterred from the sheer size of this were-beast, nor the strength woven in every single atom of his being.
He had startled you with just how large and foreboding he could appear dressed down, how much power he contained in his stride and mannerisms. He was a beast, a creature with capabilities to kill.
Andy he greeted you with a kiss on the cheek and a side hug, a gentle squeeze of your waist before he handed you a bracelet for the fair that would grant you onto any ride you wanted.
“You look beautiful,” his seductive husk was unravelling you, every beat of his verbal praise was making you feel weak.
“So do you,” it was amazement that fell from your lips and the boisterous laugh, the light in his eyes that had you unable to breathe, “you’re so…big.”
“You’re so cute.” The back and forth praise had continued until Andy gently led you to the side to let someone else pass. “Games or rides first?”
“I’m surprised you got a day off.” You quipped, noting the conversational piece from last date when he told you his schedule could be crazy.
“I lied a little,” Andy began walking with you, the two of you living at your own pace as you entered the fairgrounds, “we get special pto’s if we’re spending time with a mate we haven’t seen in a while.”
The tale of his white lie hit you head on with desire, and you instinctively reached for him, clamping onto his hands for balance as your legs felt weak. He was steadying you against his strong profile, able to keep you up without a moment of hesitation.
“Sorry, kitten.” Andy’s voice was like honey to your ears. “Your body’s reacting to mine, we’re perfect for each other and sometimes it takes a toll.”
“Andy,” you found your strength and slowly waved him off, “its fine. Its…fine.”
“Games? Food? Are you hungry? Do you need something to eat?” He cupped your cheek and made you look at him, his gaze holding yours. “I can hear your stomach grumbling.”
“The rainbow panther from the bottle game,” you spoke and it seemed random to you, but Andy grinned, “that’s what I want.”
“I’ll get it for you.” Before he could turn away, you were led by instincts and grabbed onto him, yanking him down in order to crash your lips into his.
You kissed momentarily and then pulled away, mildly horrified.
“Like I said,” he grinned and winked, “your body is reacting to mine. A perfect match.”

What pokemon would you suggest for a system with wildly different needs? Ordona hates touch (gets too hot), Yrsa can't have their neck touched, James and Omen like something cuddly, and Nero wants something he could spar with (but that's not a requirement). We're relatively active but don't go for hikes, and we're in a climate that's got a cold winter and a boiling summer.
Ooh, you know what Pokémon would be a great addition to your home? An Alolan Ninetales!
Despite being part Ice-type, Alolan Ninetales actually do surprisingly well in warm climates, so summers shouldn’t be too big of a problem (though giving your frosty friend a Never Melt Ice certainly wouldn’t hurt) They also tend to be quite adaptable personality-wise as well; they can be very affectionate and cuddly when needed, and more laidback and reserved when not. Sparring may not really be on the cards as this species is typically on the calmer side, but I am sure there are individuals who would be down for a friendly tussle.
Much like their Kantonian cousins, Alolan Ninetales groom themselves fairly frequently, which helps with their grooming requirements. A good brushing two or three times a week should be enough to keep your Ninetales’ fur in peak condition, just be aware that their tail fur, as well as the fur of their mane and head crest, is a bit more susceptible to matting due to the curliness.
Alolan Ninetales are known, at least in Alola, for their gentle temperaments, and are generally safe Pokémon for owners of all experience levels! Overprotectiveness and resource guarding can be issues though, so it’s a good idea to provide your Ninetales with proper training and socialization (ideally as a Vulpix) in order to help prevent those problems from popping up.
