So UM... *Coughs this up* ( Bird oc lore! ) Kinda the first part so you know what happenes to Corvid Copse.

OK. Lets first start off with an outpost called Corvid Copse. To kinda set the story up. Hidden deep in the rainforest, Corvid Copse was inhabited with all the corvids of the forest. They liked to be left alone, happy with their own company. It was the home of Sarokay, a very well known healer. Almost everyone knew his name, because of all the miracles he performed. He was constantly on the move, helping all the birds he could throughout the rainforest. One night as he was flying home, he heard someone screaming his name. It was coming from a young scarlet ibis. She was caught in an old, infected tree. ( it carried a parasite btw ) Sarokay being alone, he didn't really have many options to save her. Frantically panicking, he decided to peck at the tree to create an escape. Grateful, the young ibis thanked him and flew away. He did the same tailing behind her to keep a safe eye. He dropped her off at the mangroves knowing that she'd be safe there. Sighing of relief, Sarokay took off into the sky heading for home. He could see the trees below, looking like hands trying to grab him from the canopy below. His beak felt a bit stiff, like it was being held shut. He licked his beak, seeing if that would help. ( he just caught the parasite ) But it just made it worse. It was almost like glue, sealing his mouth shut completely. He wondered where this substance came from, It was almost supernatural. Regarding this issue aside, he still tried to fly home even with his stamina dropping by the second. It was kinda like this force was taking over his body, making him weak. Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into hours, home didn't seem possible to get to at this hour. Tired weak, and hungry, Sarokay decided to swoop down on a tree and rest there until the morning. He thought of the tree that the ibis was caught in, could it have come from that? Surely not, he knew almost all sicknesses in the rainforest and even what caused them.

Lets kinda speed this up because i don't wanna write for hours... ( sry for like the awkward cutoff mid-story T^T )

Sarokay dies because the parasite takes over his body,

A local forest tender finds him and flies to Corvid Copse to tell the others what had happened ( the parasite is very contagious, so he has it )

Word spread through the outpost quickly, ( along with the parasite ) until most of its residents fled for safety.

Fast forward a couple decades and Corvid Copse has been sealed off and quarantined by the Forefeathers of the forest...

Long rants coming uuuppp!!

Okay: Occupations I wanted when I was a kid: just one. And apparently I stillllll might end up going for it: I had this thing for being a “space scientist” idky. I used to love space. I had about 1500 encyclopaedias about space. And this is when I was around 5-7 ish. Aannnd then my fam was like “no scientists crazy” and showed me a picture of Einstein and I went like “do all space scientists look like that?” And they said “yes?” So I dropped the idea until a few years back when I realised what i had actually aimed for was astrophysicist. And now I knowwww I’m crazy af so uk what?? I might just go off and do it 🤭

Favorite Taylor Swift song?! NOOOOO that’s not a fair thing to ask there are SO MANY 😭. But I guess if I had to pick one favorite it’d be either “Willow” or “Safe and Sound”. Those are the ones I can vibe to, any given day. They have a similar ballad-ish vibe and I diiiig it. Not to mention the association of the latter with THG and I keep imagining it’s Prim who’s singing it in the story— oh here come the waterworks!

Favorite Books?? Like novels or in general?? Alright. I’m gonna assume in general, and take you to a tour of my bookshelf: top rack is novels, the favorite ones: The Lie Tree and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes are the two constants. Others keep changing as i keep finishing them and passing them on to libraries. Second floor in my bookshelf is the study room. No favorites there lol. Third one is comics, and OF COURSE RANGER COMICS ARE MY FAVORITE IN THERE. One more shelf down, encyclopaedias. As usual, the space ones stay my favorite. Last shelf is my drawing notebooks and old art files. They’re all my most precious possession ^^

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

heres my advice to any followers i have who are young. Don't delete things when you think you've outgrown them or they're cringy. If you make youtube videos just private them don't delete them. Save your files, you can bury them in multiple sub-folders if you think they're cringe now but DON'T DELETE THEM! It doesn't feel like it now but years in the future you will look back fondly at who you were and wish you still had those things.
