Write something for Marie & Gauche please~~!

Yup. I’m sorry this took so long, but it’s here. I was t sure what you really wanted specifically, but I did my best. Hope you enjoy it.

Marie… Hard to believe it’s already this time. It seemed like not that long ago Gauche was caring for his precious sister alone and now she was a magic knight! Everyone was happy for her. She loves her new captain, Captain Dorothy. She even thought Kirsch was ok, even if he was a bit annoying.

Gauche however, didn't know how to feel. Marie was happy and proud, and Gauche was happy to see that, but on the other hand, she would now be put in more danger and he would be able to watch and help her! Worse, she lives with that damn narcissistic royal and all the other boys in that squad. He would’ve liked her to be part of his squad, but at the same time his squad is the one he wants her to join the least.

He slowly walked behind Marie in disguise, he just wanted to make sure she was ok in town. That’s when all of the sudden a boy bumped into her. Gauche restrained himself from ending his life.

“Oh, sorry about that. Are you alright?” Marie apologized, helping the boy up. There’s no need to apologize, Marie! It was all that boy’s fault. She’s such an angel!

“It’s fine. I should’ve been watching where I was going.” He looked at Marie. “Hey I recognize you, you were at the Magic Knights Entrance Exam, weren’t you?” Then he looked at her robe. “Coral Peacocks, are you liking them so far?” He asked. He remembers what squad she got picked for!? This guy’s trouble…

“Yeah! They’re great! I think I saw you too. Actually, we talked there didn’t we? We wished each other good luck before our spars! You got into the Crimson Lions.” She smiled. He nodded.

“Mhm.” He stuck his hand out and introduced himself. “My name’s Nash, what’s yours?”

Nash… Ah! Gauche remembered! Nash was the name of one of the kids Asta grew up with! It made sense now… Of course it had to be someone involved with Asta! It’s always Asta… Gauche scoffed.

“My name’s Marie, nice to meet you.” They shook hands. They… were holding hands!

“Marie… wait… do you know Asta?” Ah, this is it! This is how it starts. Now the pieces will fit together and then they’ll get immersed into a conversation beginning with Asta and then he’ll just try to get closer and closer to his precious Marie and then- No need to get ahead of himself… yet.

Eventually they waved goodbye and went their separate ways, Gauche somehow managed to restrain himself during the conversation and he stopped himself from going after Nash after the conversation.

“Gauche? Is that you?” Gauche froze. Marie stared at him with a slightly irritated look of confusion.

“Hello.” He waved. Marie sighed.

“Gauche, how many times do I have to tell you? I’m strong now! I’ll be fine on my own, especially in a crowded town like this! What’s gonna get me here?” She questioned him.

“Everyone’s eyes will dart into your skin and-“

“Nice try big brother, next time can you not follow me around? I know you’re protective of me but I’m not a baby anymore.” Marie loved her brother more than anything, but sometimes he can just be… dramatic… that’s one way to say it. She knows he’s just protective and wants to protect her, but she’s try enough to defend herself and fight now. It will probably take some time getting used to, but she’s sure this will eventually die down after… who knows how long.

Gauche agreed to stop following her around so much and promised he’d stop being dramatic about this stuff, however, that was before he found out that today Marie would be going on her first mission today! Not only that, but she’d be going with that narcissistic royal and that Nash kid! They were going into a dungeon. Marie clearly isn’t safe with these individuals. As her great older brother, it’s his job to protect her and that he will do!

“I mean, I suppose you are pretty for your age, but nobody can compete with my beauty!” Marie listened to Kirsch. Yes, she was used to this. She had met him a few years ago, annoyed was the wrong word for it because Marie wasn’t really annoyed by him, rather… just weirded out. Nash though, completely annoyed.

‘How dare that creature call himself more adorable than Marie!? I swear…’

“You vile evil! Come out from where you are!” Kirsch yelled dramatically while pointing at a tree. Gauche just stood behind the tree. Right. Kirsch was a royal so it only makes sense he’d sense Gauche. Gauche was trying so hard to hide his presence too. He came out.

“You again!?” Nash muttered. Marie turned to Nash.

“You’ve met Gauche? Gauche! Did you go after Nash?” Gauche didn’t answer. “Gauche, Nash is nice! He grew up with Asta so there’s no need to worry about him being a bad guy. Better yet, why are you here!? You promised you would stop!”

“Asta…” Gauche spat, but it was quiet so they couldn’t hear. “If you’re going on your first mission I think I should come with you. Clearly these two aren’t dependable.”

Marie sighed and looked at Kirsch. Kirsch rolled his eyes. “I guess we don’t have a choice then to let you come! Be aware though, there will be consequences! Turn back while you can. However, admire my beauty first!”

“Shut it you damn narcissist.” Gauche walked up to the group and made it so Marie was on his right and the other two were on his left, keeping Marie as far from them as possible.

“Whatever…” Nash mumbled. Nash’s first mission was amazing, he had lots of fun and witnessed impressive things, but now on his second mission he somehow got out with these two… and Marie. Marie was the only one there who kept his sanity together. She seemed to be the normal one, she was kind, pretty, and she had cool magic from what he saw during the exams. Before that, he only knew Marie based on Asta’s letters. He’s glad to say he wasn’t disappointed and that Asta was not a liar.

“So Marie, what do you like to do in your free time? Back at my village we did things like read stories or learn how to cook.” Nash asked. Gauche stared at him.

“Keep your filthy voice away from my dear Marie’s ears!” Gauche shouted. Nash’s expression changed to confusion. Yeah, this guy was crazy.

“Uh… ok…?”

“Brother! He’s just trying to talk. Apologize!” She crossed her arms and turned away. Gauche froze and after a few moments he sighed.

“SORRY.” He yelled into Nash’s ear. That probably scared him more than anything he’s seen or heard today. He wants to go back, abandon this mission.

“You’ve been quiet. You ok?” Nash changed the subject and looked at Kirsch who was walking ahead of them.

“‘Tis not a conversation worthy of my soothing and angelic voice!” Gauche gritted his teeth. This guy was in charge not only of this mission, but his entire squad!? Well, there was Dorothy, but she’s asleep half the time. “Alas! We are here!” Kirsch pointed at the dungeon while dramatically covering his face with his other hand.

“Great! Let’s go.” Marie cheered.

As they went through the dungeon, Marie barely ever got to walk ten steps before Gauche would stopped her. Every time Marie were to walk into a potential trap, he’d push Nash as a sacrifice. Not the best first mission.

“Marie, st-“ Marie interrupted Gauche and pushed him back, Gauche’s eyes widened.

“Stop brother! Please! I’m really trying to get stronger so you don’t have to worry about me, but I can’t if you keep shielding me all the time! I want to get stronger, and this is a good opportunity to! I don’t want to be protected by you my whole life. I want to protect you, brother!”

Gauche stood there in shock. He knew she was strong, it made him happy to know how much she cared. It’d be hard to get used to this, but he’ll try. Nash and Kirsch just stood there wondering if they should’ve heard that. Nash’s eyes widened as he saw something rather alarming.

“Watch out!” Nash yelled at Kirsch. Kirsch was able to avoid the attack from the dungeon.

Suddenly, the room’s exits were blocked and the room started to go crazy. Some dungeon monsters. They avoided the attacks and tried their best to defeat the enemies.

Marie was fighting two skeletons, and then she fell off a ledge to avoid an attack. Gauche reached his hand out. “MARIE!” He yelled.

Gauche tried to make his way over to her, but she was falling too fast! Then, she landed in the arms of Nash. “Are you alright?” He asked. Marie nodded and she slightly blushed.

“Yeah, thanks.” She got down and looked at Gauche. Her eyes widened and she ran to him.

Gauche smiled until he realized Marie didn’t look happy. She ran and hit an enemy that was about to attack Gauche, he stared. “Gauche! Pay attention! I’ll be fine!”

She was right. She was fine and she handled herself. Gauche watched in amazement as it happened. It had happened. It went by in a flash… Gauche had finally realized that she wasn’t the little girl that needed protection anymore. She grew up… Gauche was proud. She was still as cute and angelic as ever. Gauche got a nosebleed, that is, because he ran into a wall since he wasn’t paying attention. Nash shook his head in disappointment, Marie was a great girl, her brother? Not so much. In Nash’s eyes anyways. This is why first impressions are everything.

As Marie, Gauche, Nash, and Kirsch made their way to report the mission, Gauche watched as Nash and Marie talked, making sure Nash wouldn’t say anything wrong and go unpunished.

Kirsch was right, Gauche did get in trouble for what he did, luckily the consequences weren’t too severe. Nash had gone back to his base and Kirsch was inside. Marie and Gauche were outside of the Coral Peacock base to say goodbye.

“Well? Did I do good?” Marie asked. Gauche nodded with a smile.

“Yes. You were right. I’m sorry for not realizing it sooner. You grew up so quickly, but you’re still an angel!” Marie smiled.

“Yeah, I even saved you this time!” Marie cheered as she was very proud of herself. “Well, I guess you better be going now. Miss Dorothy wanted to have a tea party together! It’s going to be my first one with so many people!”

Gauche smiled. “I guess you better get to that then. However, if you ever have any trouble with anyone, you can call me and I will end them.”

Marie laughed and nodded. “Ok!”

Gauche turned his body to walk away, but he kept looking at Marie, “Goodbye my little Angel!”

Marie ran up to Gauche and wrapped her arms around him into a big hug. “Goodbye big brother! I love you!”

Gauche had another nosebleed.

However, he didn’t hit a wall this time. He really did love Marie, she was his pride and joy. However, sometimes he could definitely go a bit overboard.

random black clover thoughts, part 1/??

I was rereading the Star Festival chapter for a fic (lol) and I thought of something neat. I'm sure others have pointed this out as well, so it's not anything new.

The only reason that the Black Bulls scored second place was because they started the year off with negative stars. If they had started off with zero, they probably would have beaten the Golden Dawn.

I feel like it's symbolic of Asta's journey & rivalry with Yuno. The odds were always stacked against Asta. Even in Hage, Asta faced discrimination from his own family (*ahem* Nash; Father Orsi) because of his lack of mana/magic.

He somehow joins the ranks as a knight, but he gets into the squad with the worst reputation.

AND THEN, we find out that his ability is tied to the Underworld, where one of its leaders manipulated another to wreak havoc into the world. People are (justifiably) afraid of Asta's power, because its source (devils) tried to cause suffering for the people.

In spite of these setbacks, Asta's belief that his persistence will bring him to his goal + the respect he has for his squad propels him forward, all the way to second place.

Now you're thinking, "E, what does the ranking have to do with Asta's and Yuno's rivalry?"

While Asta is obviously frustrated about always falling behind Yuno, I think Yuno is bothered by it the most. Because he knows that if these roadblocks didn't exist for Asta (eg: Asta had magic, joined the GD, etc.), Asta would easily leave him behind. Yuno respects Asta heavily, because for someone to have so many handicaps and still get second place is super impressive. Just goes to show how tenacious Asta's real magic is!

louder than bombs

warnings: some swearing, banter, matty brain rot, an obscene amount of music references, matty being hot, enemies to lovers. Enjoy!

Rooney stared at the document on her computer, the cursor blinking back at her. Books in piles around her and the quiet hum on the air conditioning being the only thing she is able to focus on… not the rough draft of the profile she’s supposed to have submitted to the first round of edits by the end of the week. Her home is normally a quiet, calm, serene environment for writing - the diffuser of jasmine oil typically comforting her mind whenever it got a bit too busy, yet now it only nauseated her. Now it only reminded her of him, and the way his jugular vein shot up out of the collar of his shirt past his perfectly angular jawline and into his side burn and also the way the gold cartier band wrapped around the bones in his wrist and pulse point and shined against his pale skin. Fuck matty healy she thinks, rubbing her temples. A deep sigh leaving her throat, the whole day had been like this.

Unable to concentrate properly on anything and mind adrift, the only real thing she could think of was how the few hours or so she spent with Matty talking about music over their respective caffeinated beverages felt like it was only a split second. Another wave of nausea as something dawned on her, like a sunbeam coming through the trees and into her home - she could have spent a lifetime talking to him about the music they both loved and grew up with in the north of england. She talked about The Hollies and the guitar sections in “Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)”, he talked about how The Stone Roses had more grit and rock than her precious Hollies could ever dream of. Rooney recalled looking him dead in those fucking eyes and saying “Graham Nash and Allan Clarke. Case closed.” and how that had silenced the whole discussion of who was better, they then moved onto discussions about Joy Division vs. New Order and The Smiths vs. The Cure. They then drifted off music for a bit to a topic of utmost importance to Matty, who she preferred, Manchester City or Man United. They butted heads the whole time, but Rooney had never met another human on the planet who knew as much about Manchester music than herself. It was as if a human had gotten split into two and then the twins were sent in opposite directions of the music world, one the performer and one the critic.

She had to get out of her house, and quickly. If she festered in this mental rot any longer she was sure it would begin to decompose. Rooney grabbed her keys and shoved her writing gear into a bag and said a quick goodbye to her Bernese Mountain puppy Arlo. With that she was now in the open world and on her way to the local coffee shop near her house - where she had first met the man plaguing her every thought. She waved a hello to the baristas and plopped down in one of the comfier corners and got set up. Opening the document again, she felt more refreshed and as focussed as a laser. Funny what some fresh air and a change of scenery can do to the brain. That is until she felt a particularly strong tap on the shoulder, fucking brilliant right when she just got back into her groove. Annoyed, she turned around at whatever this disturbance was.

“Why hello there, clover! Funny seeing you here, thought you’d be cooped up in your house editing away our little interview. Which may I add, was one of the most delightful press things I have ever done so thanks for the chat, darling. I brought you your regular… iced peppermint tea right?” His perfectly coarse voice rang out over the Bob Dylan playing on the speakers.

Fuck him. Fuck Matty for being so attentive, so kind, so handsome… so Matty.

“You know, you still don't have to suck up to me right? I’m not gonna be putting anything in to help you impress some girl you're shagging so you can forget all about that… Darling.” She spat at him, snatching the iced tea sharply. Fuck him for getting her so riled up and out of her mind with… whatever this new emotion was.

“Jealous it isn’t you, clover? And for the record, she’s just a friend, nothing more - and you’d know if I was trying to impress someone. Enjoy the iced tea and good luck with the edit, Rooney. Maybe I’ll be seeing you around, I quite like it here.” He then walked out the door, lighting a cig and strolling down the road. The gray smoke perfectly matched the grays in his hairline.

Rooney huffed. Well, today was gonna be a wash. She closed her laptop and sipped her deliciousy sweet peppermint tea - fuck he remembered the honey she put in it. Another huff and sip.

Another huff and sip, Matty read his paper. He was sitting at the cafe from the NME interview, growing to quite like the calming energy and the cappuccinos were some of the best he had tasted. In the paper today, like every other day, the resounding message was that the world was going to shit. Another huff and sip of the now room temperature coffee, flipping the pages of the paper to the Art and Culture section. He liked reading these sections for obvious reasons, but especially since they typically focussed on new and emerging artists. People and musicians who may be getting the exposure for the first time, people who reminded him of his younger self and of simpler times. Back when the 1975 weren’t headlining festivals like Glastonbury or Reading and Leeds, back before they weren’t selling out arenas in New York or working on the set design of their global tours. He liked reminiscing on those simpler times, before the money or the fame or the girls that would sit outside of venues waiting for him. Don’t mistake him, he loved his life currently and everything, he just wished he could have some of that normal, mundane, quietness back. He longed for domesticity and peace. With that, and a few articles and mugs of coffee later, he felt the energy shift.

A soft breeze of the doors opening went through the cafe, a golden leaf landing at his foot. Looking up, he saw the flash of red hair go by him followed by a waft of cherry and almond - holy fuck, she even smelled divine. His heart began to pound against his ribs, he felt like it was in his throat all of a sudden. His mind dizzy with her, how her eyes were so fixed on him as he spoke to her that day and how easy it was to carry the conversation - like he had known her a lifetime already. He went up to the barista and quickly ordered her regular with honey as he recalled being perplexed by - a cold drink mixed in with something so sticky sweet. He swallowed his nerves as he could now hear his heart beating away in his chest - louder than bombs. He remembered talking about The Smiths vs. The Cure with her and how she had preferred Morrissey and how he was a Manchester lead singer. As if she couldn’t be any better, he thought in the moment.

With her drink in hand and his regular Truman Black persona in tow, he waltzed over to her table. Delicate hand tapping her rounded shoulder. A huff…no. A gentle gasp leaving her lips.

I wanted to draw Julius getting bullied by an 11 year old and it devolved into an au.

The idea is Marx is missing and without him around Julius can't do his job because castle staff/authorities are not aware their favorite king is a literal child.

The person who kidnapped Marx is aware and made a threat on Julius's life if he stays in the castle. So Julius contacts William and Yami, the three of them coming up with a game plan to ship him off to the middle of nowhere until their squads rescue Marx and the threat is subdued.

Thus Asta and Yuno escort him to Hage Village, dropping him off on Father Orsi's doorstep giving a very abridged version of the situation. That Julius's guardian was kidnapped and there's no one to take care of Julius in Marx's stead.

Thus, Julius gets to live the life of a victorian orphan for just a little bit and see the future of his kingdom <3

Dialouge:

Julius: "Greetings!" Nash: "Stay away from Asta you snot faced loser, he's my older brother not yours, you aren't one of us!" Rekka: "Knock it off Nash." Nash: "REKKA THAT HURT!" Rekka: "Boo-hoo"

Julius: "Uh"

Rekka: "Yuno and Asta asked Father to look after Julius while they find his guardian. Until they do, he's our brother. If I see you bullying him again, you're dead." Julius: "She's scary"

This isn't a request for a tickle fic so I hope you are okay with writing it! I just wanted to request a fic were Leo and Yuno had revealed the fact that they are in a relationship so Yuno takes Leo to hage so he can meet everyone!

Ahh, my weakness! *vibrates at an inhuman speed* I'm so normal about them I swear! aerajrjheakjreaj No but really- this is a delight of a prompt and I'm beyond happy to make it for you, anon! I hope you like it!

CW: Mild angst, mentions of homophobia VERY LIGHT SPOILER WARNING: Black Clover Eps. 71-72 (It's incredibly vague- there's no real details but I'm gonna put it out there just in case)

“Come to Hage with me!”

When Yuno first offered the suggestion to Leopold, he was excited. It’d been some time since he’d seen his family, and the idea of sharing a part of himself with Leopold felt right.

Then excitement turned to unyielding anxiety in a matter of hours as he realized he had no idea HOW he was going to do that.

The planning wasn’t the difficult part- both Captains Fuegoleon and William were fine with it, and they even managed to rope Captain Yami into letting Asta and Noelle tag along. Letters were sent, and the responses have been nothing but positive from Sister Lily and Father Orsi . The actual trip was set.

It was the whole- you know- coming out thing. All this time later, and he still hadn’t told them. Yuno felt his stomach twist into a thousand knots as he watched Hage’s green hills get closer in the distance, willing himself not to shake.

“You’re gonna love it there! Our siblings are a riot, but they’ll get used to you pretty fast.” Asta was filling the mildly tense air with chatter, giving Leopold and Noelle the details about their family. A few times the redhead would look his way, smiling brightly at him. That helped- somewhat.

“You okay?” Leopold floated over on his broom, voice pitched low so the others wouldn’t hear him. “You look like you’re gonna puke.”

“Motion sickness?” Yuno offered, wincing when his voice shook..

“You’re nervous huh?” He smiled, bumping him gently. “I’m a bit too. Do you…do you think they’ll like me?”

“You’re like a second Asta. They’ll adore you.” Yuno grinned, earning a laugh and a light shove from Leopold. “Really- I do think they’ll like you. Both of you.” He nodded back to where Asta and Noelle were, their voices acting as background noise.

“Thanks.” Leopold leaned over, giving him a quick peck before returning to the original pair, Asta’s “WHERE HERE!” snapping him back to reality.

It’ll be fine. Yuno took a breath, forcing a smile. Everything is going to be fine.

He hoped.

“YUNO! ASTA!” Recca all but squealed upon seeing the three brooms above. “Everyone- Asta and Yuno are back!”

Within seconds of touching the ground, they were swarmed. Squeals of glee rang out from Arlu and Holo as they bull-tackled Asta, clinging to his legs and jumping up with grabby hands. Recca practically squeezed the life out of Yuno, her frizzy red hair almost to his chin- when did she get so tall? Sister Lily came out soon after, tears in her eyes as she hugged both of them just as tight. By the door, Father Orsi laughed, patting Nash on the head as they waited their turn to get their hugs.

It was a mess of limbs and hugs and kisses and ear shattering screams of glee from the youngest kids.. Yuno took it all in, nostalgia and warmth mixing in his chest as he reunited with his family. God, he missed them all so much.

“Welcome home, boys.” Orsi smiled when he managed to get in, hugging them both before patting their heads. “Though I should call you two men- after everything you’ve been through. Still; no matter how old you two get, you’ll always be the squishy cheeked babies I remember when you first arrived.”

“Father Orsi, come on! I’m so much bigger now since being a baby!” Asta huffed, unable to stay annoyed. Yuno laughed softly, willing his ears to stop burning. It didn’t help that Leopold was snickering in the background, clearly pleased.

“I suppose so- now, who are these fine people you two brought?” He asked, looking out towards Noelle and Leopold. Yuno’s stomach twisted once more, the anxiety he was just beginning to forget about piercing him like an arrow. Right- introductions. It was time.

“This is Noelle! Fellow Black Bull and royalty!” Asta cheerfully introduced Noelle, pulling her closer to the group. “She’s a really cool water mage! If you’re lucky- she might show you some tricks!”

“Dorksta- don’t go promoting me like I’m some sort of circus act!” Noelle fussed, cheeks red and mildly annoyed. From the group, some of the kids giggled. “Erm, it’s nice to meet you all.”

“Your girlfriend’s pretty, Dorksta!” Holo declared, making Noelle flush crimson with a squeak. Sister lily scowled him gently but Asta took it in stride, laughing with the rest of his siblings at the nickname. When the chatter died down, all eyes turned to Yuno and Leopold.

It’ll be fine.

“Leopold Vermillion! Nice to meet you all!” Leopold declared proudly, all smiles. The children were hooked almost immediately, eyes shining. “I’m Yuno’s-” He paused then, turning to the other. There was a question in his eyes. Is this okay?

Yuno felt his heart squeeze so hard it hurt. Leopold was giving him the chance to lie- to just say he was Yuno’s good friend. To work up the courage later and tell them another time. He was grateful for the redhead at that moment.

“He’s my boyfriend.” Yuno finished. Alas- as grateful as he was; he had to do it. Leopold had already agreed to keep it a secret in the past- he wasn’t gonna put him through all that again . “We’ve been dating for a while now.”

Faces morphed into surprise- Father Orsi’s brows shot up and Sister Lily blinked. Recca and Nash’s mouths formed into “o” shapes, while Arlu and Holo were too busy hovering around Noelle to notice. Even Asta looked surprised- and he knew already. Yuno waited, pleading with whomever was listening for- what- the ground to swallow him up? For lighting to strike him down? For Captain William to call and suddenly announce a task only Yuno could fill and save him from this awkward situation?

“Well, this was unexpected.” Father Orsi was the first to speak, his shock fading into warmth as he came over, shaking Leopold’s hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Leopold.”

“I recognize the name- are you related to Mimosa Vermillion?” Sister Lily recovered just as fast, smiling brightly. “She’s a darling, that one.”

“Oh yeah- she’s mine and Noelle’s cousin.” Leopold fell into easy chatter with them, bright as the sun as they asked about his team and family. Recca wiggled past the adults to Yuno’s side, her hand finding his as she leaned into his arm.

“Is he good to you?” She asked. Yuno took a shaky breath before nodding.

“He’s very good. The best man I’ve ever met.” Recca’s hand squeezed his in return, her face softening to a happy grin.

“Okay. Then I like him.” She decided. Yuno felt his throat tighten some as he leaned over, kissing her brow.

Asta and Noelle were soon dragged into the chatter. Before long, everyone was comfortable around everyone.

All but Nash, who hovered just outside the group with a pinched expression.

“It was so HOT! And dangerous too- there were so many cliffs and rocks, and the ground was carved with lava!” Asta stood before the group, retelling his adventures to his siblings- complete with standing tall and raising his arms high to emphasize his point. “There were so many instances where I was sure I wasn’t gonna make it! One wrong move, and your future Wizard King would have been as cooked as a Hage Potato!”

“I’m surprised you didn’t. I bet Yuno didn’t have any problems in that heat- not with his wind magic.” Recca grinned at her brother, earning a small smile in return. “I bet you were cool as the snow climbing that volcano!”

“Oh no, I just got lucky.” Yuno shrugged.

“Don’t be so humble- he was amazing!” Leopold grinned, joining Asta in retelling their adventures of Mereoleona’s training camp. “He was all- ZOOM! And we were all: ‘Whaaaat’ and he was all- “I’m so cool, look at me.’”

“Yeah yeah! Definitely!” Asta agreed, earning a round of laughter from the kids. “Noelle looked cool too!”

“What? Oh- don’t just say those things, Dorksta!” She huffed, cheeks pink but clearly pleased. Arlu and Holo were fast asleep against her lap, likely dreaming of the small water dragons Noelle created for their entertainment . Despite her earlier complaints about being an attraction, it didn’t take long at all for her to give in and play with them. Yuno felt a new appreciation for the water mage. “I guess you were kinda cool too…”

“Oh goodness- I can’t imagine going through that myself!” Sister Lily laughed around her tea mug, fanning away the imaginary heat. “You two have been getting so strong since you went to the capital.”

“That’s our boys!” Orsi agreed, raising a cup of what Yuno suspected wasn’t water. He didn’t mind though- it was nice sitting with everyone again. Though, there was still something wrong.

Throughout the day, Nash had been fairly quiet, not talking much at all during dinner or the time before. He’d always been a calmer soul, but Yuno couldn’t help but suspect he was angry. There was this clear tension radiating off of him that prickled at Yuno’s skin all throughout the day- especially tense during dinner when they were all sitting together.

Yuno tried to brush it off as discomfort of new people, but sitting here now- Nash nowhere in sight, his thoughts got the better of him.

Did Nash…not accept him?

Slipping away from the group, he went to find him, scared of what he’d find but determined to get to the bottom of it.

“Nash?” Yuno called out, finding his brother sitting on the back steps of the church. “There you are.”

“Oh, hey Yuno.” The younger boy looked back at him, his face and voice calm as ever. In his hands he was playing with a tree branch, picking at the bark and pulling at the leaves. “Got overwhelmed in there?”

“A bit. I actually came to find you.” Yuno began to walk over but stopped, suddenly unsure of himself. What if he sat down beside him and Nash walked away? Maybe he should…

“Why are you hovering? It’s not like we’re strangers.” Nash nodded at the spot beside him. Yuno flushed as he sat down, shamed. Why was this suddenly so difficult?

Silence hung between them, charged with something Yuno couldn’t quite put his finger on that did nothing to ease his nerves. He went to find words, but his throat felt tight, locking away his vocal cords. He needed to say it. “Nash…are you mad?”

Nash didn’t reply, though the slow pace he was working at with his stick sped up, growing slightly more aggressive. Ah, so he was.

“Are you mad…at me?” Yuno asked, feeling his heart sink when the picking grew. “Did I do something wrong?”

The stick shook. Nash’s calm expression grew pinched. “You didn’t tell us.”

There it was. Yuno bowed his head. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t- don’t apologize.” Nash tossed the stick aside, turning so he could face Yuno properly. “I don’t want an apology. I just want to know why. You know us- we’re your family! That’s never gonna change, so why…why didn’t you tell us sooner?” Nash huffed, shoulders drooping. “Did you not…trust us?”

“What- no, not at all!” Yuno winched, hating how sad his brother sounded. “It’s not that at all. I just…” He was about to ramble when he stopped, taking a breath. This was Nash- clever, understanding Nash. He might as well be honest. “I was scared.”

“Of us?” Nash blinked, tilting his head.

“Of how you’d all react.” Yuno nodded, turning to look at his knees. “Back at the capital, there are some incredible people there. But there’s also a lot of cruel ones too. Leopold- he came out before me, and I still think about some of the awful things said about him. Some were said about me too- both behind my back and to my face. I try not to care about them- they already have problems with me being a commoner, but…”

“You were scared we’d react the same way.” Nash spoke softly, voice barely over a whisper. Yuno winced, nodding.

“I know now it was irrational,, but at the time- when I first started figuring myself out and being with Leopold; I was just so…terrified. I couldn’t bring myself to say it in a letter- I needed to know in person how you’d all react. I didn’t want to come home and be treated like a stranger. That…that would hurt.” Yuno felt his eyes sting, his throat closing with unshed tears. “I’m sorry. I wish I had the courage to say it sooner, but…I didn’t. I’m sorry I made you think you couldn’t be trusted, and I’m sorry-”

“Stop.” Nash scooted over, resting his head against Yuno’s shoulder. “You’re shaking.” He took his hand in his own, two small warm ones holding Yuno’s icy limb. “Just breathe, Yuno.”

Yuno willed himself to do so, taking slow deep breaths one after another as he forced himself to calm down. He hadn’t realized just how close to a panic attack he was getting. Nash’s voice guided him back to reality, his hands still squeezing Yuno’s as the older boy collected himself. “Sorry…”

“Didn’t I just say to stop that?” Nash gave him a look, eyes softening after a moment. Silence passed before he spoke again. “You don’t have to apologize- it doesn’t seem like an easy thing to talk about. If anything- I’m sorry for getting so mad about it. Even if it took awhile, I’m glad you were able to tell us now.”

Yuno didn’t trust his voice, opting to squeeze Nash’s shoulder. Nash took this as a sign to continue.

“You know- I don’t even think that part is what made me upset. I’m really happy you found that Leopold guy, and I’m happy you and Asta are living your lives. I guess it’s just…everytime you and Asta come home, so much has happened. One minute you’re heading out to the capital, the next, you’re these powerful Magic Knights with cool abilities and war stories. I feel like there’s just so much..missing between. Like those old books someone donated that had chapters missing.” Nash dropped some, shaking his head. “That was probably stupid to listen to, huh?”

“Not at all. I think I get it.” Yuno nodded, finding his voice as he turned towards the skyline. “I’m sorry about that. Things happen so fast there, and when I go to write, I never know what to say. That and I’d hate to give Sister Lily a heart attack with the gorey details.” That earned a small smile from Nash. Yuno felt his chest loosen. “I’ll try to be better about keeping you guys updated. And I’ll try to visit more often.”

“Promise?” Nash peeked up at him. Yuno raised his pinky. Without hesitation, Nash curled his own around it.

“Promise.” Yuno gave it a little shake, the same way they did when Nash was real young. Just like that, the knots in his stomach vanished. He could breathe again.

“Thanks Yuno. Though, can I ask you something?” Nash leaned in conspiratory-like, brows furrowing. “What made you fall for him? Don’t get me wrong- he seems great, but he’s like a second Asta- just so…loud.”

Yuno snorted, hand slapping over his mouth as he shook with mirth. Nash grinned, giggling alongside his brother.

“I suppose that’s a good place to start.” Yuno got out once he recovered. The rest of the night he shared the tale with Nash, the tale of how he and Leopold came to be.

“There you are. We really do have a fondness for fields, don’t we?” Leopold laughed as he flopped down beside Yuno, the stars bright above and the air chilled. Yuno was lying on his back, hands tucked behind his head as he reflected on the day’s events. Overall- it all went well.

“That’s true. We’ll have to change it up soon. How about a beach day next time?” Yuno suggested, grinning when Leopold made a face.

“No way- I’m still finding sand in inconvenient places.” Shaking his head, he flopped backwards and into Yuno’s chest, snuggling close. “Thanks for inviting me out. Your family’s great!”

“Told you they’d love you.” Yuno hugged him close, skittering his nails against his back. “I’m glad you came. They’re gonna be talking about you and Noelle for months.”

“Hehe, better send some presents then. Gotta keep my “cool older brother” rep with the kiddos.” Leopold closed his eyes, melting against his boyfriend’s hand. “Hey…this is kinda dumb but..thanks for introducing me as your boyfriend. I would have gone with the whole friend thing if you weren’t ready to tell them, but…It made me really happy.”

“It’s not dumb at all. And I appreciate you so much for that. Still…I wanted to tell them. Regardless of what happened, I wanted them to know you as my boyfriend. It was really scary, but I’m glad I did it. I feel so…relieved.” Yuno nodded, satisfied with his choice of words as he played with Leopold’s braid. “Was it like that for you when you came out to your siblings?”

“Honestly? I can’t remember. When I came out, I was so scared of chickening out I busted into Fuegoleon’s office and shouted it at the top of my lungs. Sis must have heard me from down the hall cause she yelled back “Good for you!” and Fuegoleon wasn’t fazed in the slightest. I think they both already knew.” Leopold laughed at the memory, smiling to himself. “I’m so lucky to have the siblings I have. I don’t know what I’d do without them.”

“Yeah…” Yuno hummed in agreement, letting that settle. It made him grateful for his siblings as well- and his comrades. How’d he get so lucky to find the people he met?

“So- it’s just the two of us now. Do you think anyone will be slipping out this evening?” Leopold asked, sitting up so they were eye to eye, a teasing grin on his lips. Yuno blinked before flushing some, feeling his eyes widen.

“Leo!”

“What? I’ve been good- I’ve held back all day from doing it.” He leaned in some, green eyes sparkling with warmth. “Now or never, right?”

Yuno rolled his eyes with a soft laugh, flicking his bangs away. “You’re a dork. Fine, come here.”

Leopold wasted no time pressing his lips against Yuno’s, pushing him back into the grass.

It was all as Yuno hoped it would be and more. He was so glad he came home.

What are your songs for Finral x Finesse (FinFin is their shipname, right)?

Hi anon! Thank you so much for this ask! I'm still getting to know all the ship names, but, yes, I think FinFin is the name for Finral x Finesse! I am so excited that you've asked me about them because their ship playlist is actually my favourite to listen to (linked here if you're interested. Though I will warn you it does contain some angsty songs and a few songs that are mainly (affectionate) jokes at Finral's expense).

My most listened to song on Spotify this year "Line Without a Hook" by Ricky Montgomery and mxmtoon is actually from my FinFin playlist, but since I already made a post about it and talked about two of my other favourite Finral x Finesse songs "Little Wanderer" by Death Cab for Cutie and "Candle on the Water" (one of my favourite Disney songs) in my post about them for the ship bingo game, I've decided to choose some other favourites for this ask!

The song "Oceans Between Us" by The Icarus Account could have been written for this ship. The lovely, overarching theme of this song is just so fitting for Finral and Finesse. Though the singer is traveling far away (with "miles and miles that [he's] yet to go" he hasn't forgotten his beloved who is waiting for him to return ("But tell me you love me and tell me again/ You wait for forever, you wait till the end"). If that isn't enough, there are also lines like "You're the only reason I come home/ My love" and a whole section of "You're the only one"s. It's an incredibly sweet song (for an incredibly sweet ship), and I think it really suits them. The ending, "You're mine forever and I'm yours/ Yours till the end" always brings a smile to my face.

"Make You Mine" by PUBLIC was my fifth most listened to song of 2021 (probably because it was on my Finral x Finesse playlist). Every time the line "put your hand in mine" comes up I always think of Finesse grabbing his hand when he's dropping the letter out of the spatial portal in Episode 154 (one of my all-time favourite Black Clover episodes). While I don't see them hurting each other all that much and there are a few bittersweet moments in this song, I mainly disregard those and focus on the bits I think are very fitting to this ship given that "You know that I want to be with you all the time/ You know that I won't stop until I make you mine" is a pretty good way to summarize all of Finral's newfound motivation to become a man worthy of Finesse's love.

"Only Us" was originally from the musical "Dear Evan Hansen," but I've linked the version by Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay. I'm not sure where to even begin with this one since I'd really like to just copy and paste all of the lyrics into this post. The opening of the song just screams Finesse to me. She recognizes that Finral is insecure, but she loves him anyway and encourages him that he doesn't have to convince her that he is enough for her (i.e. "I don't need you to sell me on reasons to want you/ I don't need you to search for the proof that I should/ You don't have to convince me/ You don't have to be scared you're not enough"). She knows that the past is painful, but she wants to move forward from that into something better, brighter, and happier together ("And what came before won't count anymore or matter").

Then the second verse just perfectly captures how I think Finral feels in this relationship. Finesse is his first love, but he never could have imagined that she would actually love him in return (i.e. "I never thought there'll be someone like you who would want me"). I think one of Finral's biggest motivations as a character is that he is starving for the unconditional love he didn't receive as a child, and when we meet him in the canon, we see that he is looking for it in all the wrong places (i.e. by practically throwing himself at every woman he sees). On a certain deep level, he really feels like he doesn't deserve to be loved, especially to be loved unconditionally, on the merits of just being Finral, but that doesn't stop him from wishing for it. I think the lines ""But if you really see me/ If you like me for me and nothing else/ Well, that's all that I've wanted for longer than you could possibly know" really speak to that.

What's so beautiful about Finral and Finesse as a ship is that she does see him for who he is and loves him for that, and I think that this song really captures that (especially the lines "You and me/ That's all that we needed to be/ And the rest of the world falls away"). That "'Til you're the only one, I still know how to see" line is just an added bonus.

"I Wanna Make You Happy" by Victory is a little on the nose given Finral's vow to "be the one to make Lady Finesse happy." However, it's a cute song full of warm and fuzzies for a cute ship full of warm and fuzzies.

"The Long and Winding Road" is a Beatles classic, and one of my favourite songs of all time. I think it fits the context of this ship extremely well because even though Finral has left Finesse to find his own way in the world, he is coming to realise that "the long and winding road" of his life's journey will eventually lead back to her. It's almost as if his heart has been with her all along, he just didn't know it.

I know "It Only Takes a Moment" is a showtune (from the musical "Hello Dolly") so it's a little out of the box, but it was just too perfect to pass up. I mean, if anyone is going to believe that "It only takes a moment/ To be loved a whole life long," it's Finral. This kind of hopeless romanticism just fits him so well, and I imagine that if he was to tell the story of how he fell in love with Finesse if would very much be a love at first sight kind of thing (on his side. I think it was a slow burn thing on her side). She was his first love, and, yes, I might be teasing him a bit with this song choice but it's pretty undeniable that he really was taken with her from the first time he saw her. When I listen to this song, I like to think of Finral explaining to his squad that he loves Finesse and has since the very beginning. These lines: "It only takes a moment/ For your eyes to meet and then/ Your heart knows in a moment/ You will never be alone again" especially just feel so much like him and his attitude towards his relationship.

Not to mention the fact that the line "I held her for an instant/But my arms felt sure and strong" always makes me think of this:

"Maybe Don't" by Maisie Peters and JP Saxe was a big inspiration for my Finral x Finesse story, "I'll Be Waiting," (especially the lines "We should never speak again/ Because I like you/ And lately it's been only getting worse/ So we should never speak again/ Because I want to/ I've run through every outcome and in every one I'm hurt.") I think this song as a whole really captures Finral's conflicted feelings in trying to reconcile the fact that he loves Finesse with the fact that she is probably going to marry his brother (which, I think, he knows will leave him heartbroken if he doesn't emotionally distance himself). Meanwhile, Finesse cares about him and is trying to gently suggest that maybe he doesn't have to do that. (The gentleness and almost shyness of that "maybe don't" sentiment feels a lot like her to me). I especially love the line: "I should always be alone/ You said maybe don't" and think the line "'Cause I run from the things that I want the most/ You said I get that's what you do but, maybe don't" is particularly fitting for these two.

If you want something angsty, there's the song "Nicest Thing" by Kate Nash (YouTube Link Here). I like to imagine Finral as the singer and Finesse as the "you", and I especially like the line: "I wish you'd never forget/ The look on my face when we first met" since it always brings up a mental image of this:

He looks like he’s been whacked on the back of the head, bless his heart. 😂🥺💕 I really think the opening lines of this song sum up how he feels about her too (even if he knows (or thinks he knows) that it’s nothing more than a pipedream to imagine they’d end up together):

If you're feeling a bit cheeky and want something that's more about poking fun at the situation there's always "Two Princes" by Spin Doctors (YouTube Link Here). No offense to Langris intended. The song is nice enough to admit that they're both "princes who adore [her]," after all.

Star Magic: Yuno Chapter 2 - 4 and 5 Leaf Grimoires

Yuno and Asta have grown up after that faightful night, as both have changed as their lifes have been changed as they get their own Grimoires.

It has been 10 years ever since Yuno and Asta have made their promise about them being rivals, and things have become different in many aspects, but some things remained the same.

Asta still couldn’t use his magic as if he didn’t have much of it, which was impossible since everyone in the Clover Kingdom has at least some bit of it, but it seems that he doesn’t have good control of it, but that didn’t stop him as he continued to train his body off and he plans on never giving up.

The church has gained two new orphans, Aruru and Hollo. It also grew some new pop potatoes, but it didn’t change much as it was still the same dish over and over again.

Hage was still a village in the Forsaken Realm and it was acknowledged by the Clover Kingdom so far, Julius was still the Wizard King.

But there was something that changed drastically and that was Yuno.

Yuno ever since that day became more serious, stopped crying which he hasn’t cried ever since that day, less social and overall didn’t smile much at all, and not to mention that people have realized something special about him.

It was that he had 2 Magic Attributes, which Sister Lily and Father Orsi were shocked to hear that coming from Yuno, but they made sure that it didn’t become public until Yuno was ready, which he was grateful for.

They might be in a rather unlively situation, but Father Orsi would never take any of the children for granted.

As weird as it might seem for Yuno to have both abilities of Wind and Star Magic, it kind of felt natural to him, like both of them were magic that were just made for him as he does know how to make both of them as best as he could.

As of now, both Yuno and Asta were ready to get their Grimoires as it was March and the firefly dandelions are floating in the air, everyone who are 15 years of age are allowed to have their Grimoires, and then 6 months from now, there will be the Magic Knight Selection Exam.

Grimoires are books in which they are correctly made for everyone in The Clover Kingdom as it goes well with the Magic Attribute, as the book was coloured to suit well for their users and once the user dies, their Grimoire perish along with them.

On the front page of the Grimoire, there are 3 Leafs, in which they are rumoured to show three things: Hope, Faith and Love.

The Magic Knights are said to be groups of powerful mages that are ruled by a powerful Grand Magic Knight, or more commonly known as a Magic Knight Captain which are the second highest rank in the Clover Kingdom, the first being the Wizard King.

There are a total of 9 Magic Knight squads: the best known as the Golden Dawn, the worst known as the Black Bulls, and the rest are the Crimson Lion Kings, The Silver Eagles, The Blue Rose Knights, The Purple Orca, The Coral Peacock, The Green Mantis and The Aqua Deer.

Both Yuno and Asta have the goal to join the Magic Knights as it was 1 step closer in order to become the Wizard King.

Yuno is now wearing a black shirt with long sleeves, long dark pink pants and brown shoes while Asta is wearing a black headband on his forehead with a red star around the top, as he wore a blue jacket, a long sleeved white shirt, blue pants and black shoes.

Yuno was walking around the church with Aruru, Hollo, Nash and Recca around him as they then saw Asta trying his hardest to marry Sister Lily, even when she was trying her hardest to deny him. She even hit him with a Holy Fist of Love, a much larger one than that of when he was a little kid.

Yuno sighed. He hasn’t changed a bit. He saw Asta jump saying that he won’t give up, as then a red star appeared, landing directly in front of Asta as that made him jump as Asta landed on his back when the star exploded in his face.

“Thank you Yuno, it was getting annoying,” said Nash.

“I know, Asta, will you just quit it already?” asked Yuno as Asta stood up looking at his foster brother, “You know she won’t marry you.” he said.

“You know damn well, I am not giving up, and besides, why are you sticking your nose into this!?” he yelled as Yuno looked at him.

“It is simple really. You are loud, short, noisy, annoying, can’t read a room to save your life, can’t cook, you are impatient, lack composure and tolerance,” every single one of those felt like Yuno sucker punched him in the face as he then walked away while saying, “Those attributes are pretty much unattractive to women.”

Now that made it feel like Yuno created a star in his face and blew it straight towards him… oh wait, he already did that!

“Oh come on, Yuno, we have been living together for 15 years, and that is how you talk to me?! You big jerk!” Asta yelled at his rival, as he was pretty much ignored.

Yuno sighed, he knew that saying that Sister Lily can’t marry someone because she is a woman of the cloth, or that he was 15 years old, can’t marry was pointless.

“Asta, how many times do we have to tell you, Sister Lily can’t marry someone because she is a woman of the cloth.” said Yuno as Asta grew a tick mark.

“Oh yeah?! How about we settle this, right here and now!?” he yelled as Yuno looked at his foster brother with raised eyebrows.

“No thanks.” he said.

“Huh?! What makes you say that?!” yelled again Asta.

“Because it would be a waste of time.” Asta grew another tick mark.

“Oh give it a rest, Asta. You know it is pointless,” said Nash as Asta looked at his foster brother. Hollo and Aruru looked as they saw the pop potatoes cook as Recca used her Water Magic so they could be well cooked as Nash used his Fire Magic so it could actually be cooked well.

“Oh yeah, and what makes you say that, Nash!?” he yelled once again.

“Well for starters, you are the only person that I know that can’t control any Magic,” said Nash as the rest nodded with him, “secondly, in this world magic is everything. It doesn’t matter if you have it, but how much you have it, from the looks of it you have very little of it.” said Nash.

Asta gritted his teeth as he looked at his foster brother, “Well, I have something that they don’t! A special move!”

“A special move?” asked Recca.

“That’s right! And here it goes! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!” His special move was… him doing sit ups while screaming really loudly. Aruru laughed, saying how funny he was.

His attention was then brought to Yuno doing laundry with his Wind Magic, really easily he might add. Aruru laughed again seeing that. It was very easy to make her laugh.

While the others were slightly impressed with his magic, Asta was looking at him with wide eyes and pale skin. That bastard!

Once he was done cleaning all of the clothes and getting it all dry, Asta pointed at some chunk of wood, “Well, you know what?! At least I can cut wood faster than you, Yuno!” he yelled as Yuno created what looked like an axe with the Wind and cut the wood with ease.

“You were saying?” he asked as Asta was this close to beat him up.

“Oh yeah, ya’ damn show up! Why don’t you use it with your Star Magic, huh?!” he yelled out.

“Okay.” he said as then he created an orange star with the shape of an axe and then proceeded to cut even more wood with it.

All of them were silent.

“You kinda asked for it.” said Hollo as Aruru laughed.

Asta clicked his tongue, “Yeah, I did.”

As then the door opened to see Father Orsi with tears as all of the hair on his body was now white, “Yuno is the hope for Hage Village!” he said as he noticed Asta looking at him like he told something offensive to him, “Oh and Asta too.”

“Love you too, Father.” said Asta sarcastically.

“Sorry, I didn’t notice that you were there, I just… am really excited for the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony for both of you, because after 6 months, you will become Magic Knights and then… and then…” Father Orsi then began to tear up as he began the idea of both Yuno and Asta getting out of Hage Village and becoming fully grown adults.

“And then… And then… AHHH! I CAN’T DO IT! THEY JUST GROW UP SO FAST!” he yelled as tears came out of his eyes like waterfalls as he then began to run back into the church as all of the foster kids and Sister Lily looked at him.

Nash sighed as Yuno looked unimpressed. “How is he older than all of us?”

“I have no idea, Nash. No clue.” he said as his younger foster brothers and sisters nodded with him.

Asta was unusually quiet the entire time as Sister Lily looked at him, “Asta, is something wrong? You are quiet about something, is everything okay?” she asked Asta as the ash haired boy looked at her.

“Oh nothing Sister Lily, I am just thinking about tomorrow, the day we get our Grimoires,” he looked to the skies as Yuno looked at him with interest, “Yuno and I are going to get our Grimoires, and then… I can finally use my magic, which will be the most awesome magic ever!” he yelled with stars in his eyes.

“With that, I will join one of the Magic Knights, make a name out of myself, and then, after several years go by, I can finally think of myself as one person.” he grinned ear to ear, “The Wizard King!” Recca and Nash sighed by their older foster brother, which to them feels like the younger brother, Aruru and Hollo looked in awe as Yuno kept a stoic face, “And then… you will marry me-”

“I think you should set your dreams in a more realistic sense.” said Sister Lily as Asta dropped his head.

“I am not giving up on this dream Sister Lily, and you know it!” he said as Sister Lily sighed at the young boy. He will never drop this dream, will he?

Asta then looked at Yuno whose eyes stayed focused on Asta the entire time who raised his fist, “Right, Yuno?” he asked.

Yuno walked away, “Keep dreaming Asta.” he said as the ash haired boy stayed quiet as Sister Lily looked at Yuno in shock that he would say that to his foster brother.

Asta stayed quiet as he gritted his teeth, oh he will show him.

He will show him that he will become the Wizard King!

INTRO!

(A/N: Play Haruka Mirai.)

We see several different Grimoires with different colours and looks flying around the room, all with their own attributes as it ended with two different Grimoires, one with a 4 leaf and the other with a 5 leaf, as then Yuno and Asta were then shown as they began walking in the same path, with determined looks on their faces as then Yuno’s Grimoire opened to reveal a page with the words “Star Magic: Yuno!”

Gray words can’t make anything happen

We then see Asta and Yuno facing backwards as they both raised their heads as their backgrounds were that of the 4 Leaf Grimoire of the Wind and Star for Yuno, with the 5 Leaf for Asta.

I know, yeah I know

As we see images of Asta and Yuno, both with different expressions as for Asta was him with Star eyes, while Yuno was calm and collected.

Wishing to fly freely across the sky

Then we Asta doing situps as we see Yuno flying away as Asta began running towards him.

I dreamed it all my life

As the background changed with Yuno and Asta both dodging at the same time Revchi’s chain.

Step by step I go, though it’s a doubtful world

We then see Yuno and Asta both pulling out their Grimoires, as Asta pulled out a massive blunt sword as Yuno created 3 stars around him.

Don’t care how much I fall!

Both of them attacked the former Purple Orca as Fanzell Krueger looked over with an interested look.

Instinct is my guide, I never give up!

As after they are done with him, they both turn to Sekke Bronzazza and Salim Hapshass as they were both defeated in quick succession.

To faraway future, I burst out running

We then see Asta and Yuno, both in different outfits, as one is a Black Bull and the other a Golden Dawn as then above them appeared their members in rapid succession.

Go beyond even the unseen fears

On Asta’s side appeared Yami Sukehiro, Magna Swing, Luck Voltia, Vanessa Enoteca, Finral Roulacase, Charmy Pappitson, Grey, Gauche Adlai, Gordon Agrippa, Henry Legolant, Noelle Silva and Midori Folium while on Yuno’s side appeared William Vangeance, Langris Vaude, Alecdora Sandler, Klaus Lunette, Mimosa Vermillion, David Swallow, Letoile Becquerel, Siren Tium and Hamon Caseus.

The vision I had, so I can be myself

Then we see Yuno at the air as the wind went around him and then sighed.

Someday I will write the next page

As then Klaus and Mimosa were all around him with smiles on their faces as then they faced off with a bounty hunter in Hage with an evil smile on his face.

You are my hope

The three of them all looked at each other as they then readied their Grimoires for the fight.

Like that page from someday

The bounty hunter readied himself with an orange light energy barrier as he stopped Klaus’ Spears, Yuno’s Wind and Mimosa’s Plant Canon.

I was able to meet you

As soon as the man turned around Klaus and Yuno used a steel cannon as it shot a powerful beam of light directly towards him as it launched him forward.

I call this a miracle

It created a powerful explosion as then we see Yuno and Asta fist bumping each other with smiles on their faces as the background ended with Asta looking at the camera with a happy smile as Yuno looked at the camera on his backside with a scowl on his face.

STAR MAGIC: YUNO!

(A/N: End Theme.)

It was now the next day and it was the day when they finally get their Grimoires, which Asta couldn’t wait for as he began eating the pop potato bread, pop potato salad and pop potato… potato. Yeah these people only eat potatoes.

“OH YEAH! I CAN’T WAIT TO GET MY GRIMOIRE!” yelled Asta as everyone looked at him at the table as they all were eating like civilized people. Nash thought to himself how he is older than them while Hollo and Aruru were eating more normal than them. Father Orsi was still crying tears.

“Asta, eat like a normal person.” said Yuno casually as he was eating the pop potato bread as it sucked all of the water in his mouth with just one bite, just like how it was made as the pop potatoes were the most dry things ever made. He took a glass of water and drank it as he took another bite… all of the water disappeared once more.

“HOW CAN I?! The 2nd most important event will happen in my life!” yelled Asta as they all looked at him when he said that.

“Second? What is first?” asked Recca as Nash sighed as he already knew what he was going to say. Yuno was surprised he could count.

“Me becoming the Wizard King, of course! What else would it be?!” he yelled as Sister Lily sighed as she looked at him.

“Well, can you at least slow down, Asta? The food is not going to run away and you still have enough time to get your Grimoire. The ceremony will begin in 3 hours.” Sister Lily said as Yuno nodded.

“Not to mention, it is a 15 minute walk, so you could actually start eating like a normal person and not a lion that hasn’t eaten in weeks.” said Yuno as his foster brother looked at him.

“Oh, Yuno, trust me, when I get my Grimoire that you're about to be sorry when I wipe the floor with you!” he said as Yuno smiled at that.

“I highly doubt it.” said Yuno as they continued to eat the pop potatoes, with Father Orsi kept saying how little they were when he first held them, much to their dismay as they rolled their eyes once he continued. They were surprised that he wasn't dehydrated from all of that crying.

After a few minutes the church continued to eat the driest food known to mankind, they were finished eating as Asta then picked up all of the plates and continued to clean all of them, while yelling the entire time as they all sweatdropped when they could hear him.

After the dishes were clean, but wet, Yuno walked up to them and used his Wind Magic to make them dry out quicker than usual, which did work, so the young black haired man picked them up and placed them in the cabinet since Asta is too short, as he was only a head taller than Nash.

“I envy your height with every inch of my body.” said Asta as Yuno didn’t even look at him as he walked outside.

“That’s not a lot of inches.” Yuno said with a small shit eating grin as he walked out of the church with Asta having tic marks all over his head.

“OH I CAN’T WAIT TO GET MY GRIMOIRE SO YOU COULD FINALLY SEE WHO WILL BE THE WIZARD KING!” yelled Asta as he ran out of the church so he could do his push ups and sit ups while screaming really loudly.

This went on for 2 hours, with Asta training his body to the absolute Peak that he could make with it if he can’t use any of his magic, with Yuno training both of his Wind and Star Magic at a couple of trees with him slashing them up with the wind or creating them as a form of an incomplete spear as he could only create 2 stars at the time.

As when they were done with training before the ceremony, both of them were at the church walking with Father Orsi, Sister Lily and their foster siblings as they began to walk at the Grimoire Tower.

It was a short and calming 15 minutes of them walking towards the Grimoire Tower if you don’t count Asta trying to run as fast as humanly possible to catch up, which was a massive building in the shape of cylinder with a wooden door as the walls were made out of pure stone that no simple Earth or Fire Magic could even dent it.

They also saw many villagers that were the same age as Asta and Yuno from Hage Village or from neighbouring villages, with even some nobles that were living in the village who can’t wait to be the stars of this year’s Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony as they do have the most amount of mana from this lot.

Once they were close to the Grimoire Tower they then realized how big it was as it towered over many trees, but they didn’t pay attention to that, as they then entered the Grimoire Tower and they were shocked at what they saw.

It looked like the biggest library known to mankind as there were rows that were as longs as some houses filled with nothing, but with Grimoires for a possible new mage of the Clover Kingdom, having many Magic Attributes such as Wind, Glass, Earth, Fire, Water, Ice, Rock and more and it was just amazing to see.

It was not just that, but all of them were all varying of shapes and sizes as some were bigger than others, both in size and the number of pages, with even some being more longer as all of the Grimoires have different colours, such as a red cover, blue, light pink, purple, dark brown covers and that was just the start of it!

Those weren’t just for them, there were also for everyone in all of the close mages as whenever there is a new baby born in the Clover Kingdom, a new Grimoire is made in the Grimoire Tower.

Not to mention, those weren’t the only ones that were plenty in the Grimoire tower, but rather, there were several of potential new mages from all of the visiting villages, both commoners and nobles, so they can’t wait to get their own Grimoires.

“WOAH! This place is huge! And everything is filled with Grimoires?! THAT IS SOOOO COOL!” Asta yelled at the top of his lungs as he admired the tower as Yuno nodded along of his foster brother.

Two Nobles looked around and noticed the two foster brothers and began laughing at the mere idea of them being Magic Knights as Yuno didn’t pay attention to them and Asta was just ready to get his Grimoire.

Father Orsi, Sister Lily and the other foster children began to walk at the corner of the Grimoire Tower as they will wait for those two to get their Grimoires.

As then an old wizard coughed into his hand as he then used a Magic Item that allowed him to talk so everyone in that area could hear them, he wore a massive white beard, a red hat and a red robe.

“Welcome! To everyone here for this special day! As of today, all of you will have a Grimoire in the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony!” the old man said as he was floating on his Grimoire thanks to his Wind Magic, “As of today all of you will take a new step in a new path of being a mage, rather if you are a noble or a commoner, I believe that all of you will do great things.”

The mage then stepped forward on an altar of some sorts as he began saying, “For those that don’t know me, I am the master of this Grimoire Tower as are different mages in the Clover Kingdom. Now, never, not once, has there ever been a Magic Knight that came out of the villages, much less the Wizard King, so I do pray that at least one of you will have what it takes to become the most powerful mage in the Clover Kingdom. SERIOUSLY, I MEAN IT!”

The entire Tower was quiet when he said that in pure shock, or like Father Orsi and Sister Lily sighed as this wasn’t the first time he did it.

The Master of the Grimoire Tower (A/N: Seriously, does he have a name?) coughed into his hand, “Sorry about that. Anyway, it is time… to accept… your Grimoire.” he said as then all of the Grimoire, all except for one, began floating around the Grimoire Tower, finding their respective mage.

They all floated, glowing in their respective colours for the Magic Attributes, as it all began floating until the new mages raised their hands so their Grimoires could accept them as they all went towards them.

“Finally, my very own Grimoire!” said one girl.

“Hey, check it dude, my Grimoire is longer than your Grimoire!” said one of the mages as his friend showed his Grimoire.

“Yeah, maybe, but mine is thicker.” said the other new mage.

“Yes, my one way ticket away from this dump!”

“I can finally continue my families’ legacy of farmers!”

“Seriously? This is my Grimoire?” asked one of the nobles as his book was thinner than the others as his friend had a very tiny one.

One of the new mages began flipping the pages as she saw that it was mostly blank, except for one page with an actual spell, “It may be empty, but I bet over time, this thing will be filled with Spells!” she yelled.

The Master Of The Grimoire Tower then looked at the two mages that said that they will go at the Magic Knight Selection Exam as he nodded, “Yes, yes. I do have high expectations for all of you.” he said as he then heard someone with their arms raised.

“Hey, uhm, question?” he looked at Asta as did everyone else that wasn’t Yuno, “Is my Grimoire running late or something?”

It was silent as the Master Of The Grimoire looked around for the Grimoire as he genuinely didn’t know where his Grimoire was at this point at time, “Uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh… Try next year?” he said.

Again, silence.

“WHAT?!” yelled Asta as almost everyone around him looked at him at pure shock as then they… all began laughing at the boy. Almost everyone laughed at the amazing joke that was this moment, a boy with no Grimoire, that was a great joke to behold.

They couldn’t contain themselves as they howled in laughter as they began saying things like:

“Can you believe that?! A loser with no Grimoire?!”

“What a joke!”

“That is the funniest thing!”

“That is kind of awesome… in a sick and hilarious way!”

“Oh poor guy has no Grimoire, how about I shed some crocodile tears!?”

“Loser!”

He gritted his teeth when hearing that as his foster siblings looked at him with pity as they hated him seeing like this, with Sister Lily covering her mouth as she couldn’t believe what she was hearing about him and Father Orsi gripping his hands into a ball, hating seeing that for Asta.

However, one didn’t react as everything stopped when they saw something special, a new glow, as one Grimoire floated beside him with a powerful glow as at first it was green, but then it began to glow even harder than before making everyone that wasn’t Yuno cover their eyes from the bright light.

As then everyone looked in awe as they saw a brand new Grimoire, the most powerful Grimoire that they have ever saw, as at the front it was a green cover with winds going around at the edges of the Grimoire with a clover, but at the front it was sky blue as there were what looked like stars on them as the edges had something that looked like a spade, which no one was sure what that meant as on the side the colours have been mixing up with a green and a blue altogether.

But the most important detail? It was on the front, it was not the regular 3 Leaf Grimoire, but a 4 Leaf Grimoire. A man at the back smiled when he saw that as he walked out of the Grimoire Tower.

You see, a regular 3 Leaf is the standard as even powerful mages like the Captains of the Magic Knight Squads, like Nozel Silva or Fuegoleon Vermillion, had them, but a 4 Leaf is the rarest Grimoire that anyone could ever have. It was rumoured that someone like the first Wizard King was one of the only people to ever wield the 4 Leaf Grimoire, and if it was true, then Yuno had almost the power to become the Wizard King soon.

The 4 Leafs of a Clover represent something. The first one represents Faith, the other Hope, the third one Love and the last one represents Good Luck.

Father Orsi and Sister Lily were at shock to see Yuno having the 4 Leaf Grimoire, the foster siblings saw it with wide eyes at awe and Asta saw the Grimoire that was on the side of Yuno with shock in his eyes.

How was that even possible? It…was not possible to get that powerful Grimoire and it was just shocking to see that, but… how?

Yuno stared at his Grimoire as it felt like it wasn’t his fully, like a different spirit’s Grimoire, but the other part of it was like it was his, but he couldn’t explain it as he grabbed his Grimoire.

Everyone else looked at him in shock.

“No way. A Four Leaf Grimoire?!”

“That’s amazing!”

“Wait, isn’t this the same kid that was rumoured to have 2 Magic Attributes as well?!”

“Wait what?! How lucky is this kid?!”

“How impressive.”

Yuno stared at his Grimoire, with this, he can put his Wind and Star Magic both to good use with his now 4 Leaf Grimoire as it will be a long road away from him, but one day he will become it, the person that will protect everyone he cares and loves for.

“I… will become the Wizard King!” yelled Yuno as everyone stared at him as Asta dropped his arms in shock. They all looked at him like crazy as then…. all of them began clapping their hands when they heard that.

“AMAZING!” almost everyone yelled except for the two nobles.

Father Orsi cried tears when he said as he yelled out, “Yuno is Hage Village’s Hope!” he yelled out as Sister Lily covered her mouth in shock.

As everyone were clapping and cheering for Yuno, Asta then began to rise up from his feet, “Yuno… just you wait, one day I will catch up with you, you got that?” he said as he looked at his rival, “One day I will catch up with you, because Yuno… you are my RIVAL!”

Everyone were quiet as then… they all began laughing at him.

“His rival?!”

“Man is he hilarious or what?!”

“Says the man that didn’t even get a Grimoire!”

“YEAH! RIGHT!”

Yuno was silent as he then… walked from Asta as his foster brother’s eyes widened when he heard that and all he said was “No.” Asta then dropped his arms again. He Gritted his teeth.

Asta then began to run away from the Grimoire Tower as did everyone else walk out from the Grimoire Tower as did Yuno’s foster family also walk off. Sister Lily wanted to ask if Yuno would like to walk with them, but Yuno wanted to walk home alone, so he could think about his new Grimoire, which they understood as they began to walk off.

As soon as he did walk off from the Grimoire Tower, he was abused by those two nobles that were talking down to Yuno and Asta, as Yuno looked at them unimpressed.

“Hey, why are we here, exactly?” asked the brown haired noble as the blonde haired one looked at him.

“So he could pay.” he said as Yuno looked at him unimpressed.

“Wait, what, what do you mean?” he asked his friend as the blonde haired noble looked at Yuno.

“Because you think, you can just walk in there and get the 4 Leaf Grimoire all on your without a single glance to us and thinking you are the star of the show?!” yelled the blonde haired boy.

“Well, if I am honest, I wasn’t expect-”

“Shut it!” the blonde haired boy cut Yuno off as he opened his red coloured Grimoire, “I am going to burn that Grimoire away for taking away my spotlight!” he yelled as the pages were beginning to open.

“Woah, man, are you sure you aren’t going to far?!” yelled the brown haired boy as his friend smirked.

“Oh no, this is only the start of it! Fire Creation Magic: Flamethrower!” yelled the boy as then from the palm of his hands appeared a massive amount of fire as it would be enough to burn away a house, but Yuno wasn’t afraid of it.

Instead he opened his Grimoire and yelled, “Wind Creation Magic: Towering Tornado!” Yuno yelled as then a tornado appeared right where the fire appeared as the fire disappeared in a quick and easy attack.

“What the- Bruno! Use your Magic, right now!” yelled the blonde haired boy as Bruno looked at him.

“Are you sure, Mark?!” yelled Bruno as Mark nodded.

“Of course I am, just do it!” he yelled as Bruno opened his light blue coloured Grimoire.

“Alright, alright! Ice Creation Magic: Ice Ball!” he yelled as then a massive ball of ice appeared from his hands as it was the size of Yuno and as far as they know, it would be impossible for simple wind to stop i-

“Star Creation Magic: Median Scutum!” yelled Yuno as then two stars, one green and one blue, appeared around him as they created a barrier between each other as the barrier was half green and half blue as when the massive ball of ice landed on it, it instantly broke on contact.

“What the hell?!” yelled Bruno as Mark’s eyes widened.

“No way, so the rumours are true!” yelled Mark as he looked at Yuno as it looked like he didn’t even try facing them. “You have 2 Magic Attributes?!” he yelled as Yuno looked at him, unimpressed.

“That’s right. I have 2 Magic Attributes, and before you say anything about it, no, it was all natural, when I was born.” he said as he narrowed his eyes.

“Bu-But how?! Even the Wizard King has 1 Attribute, but you have 2?! How is that even possible?!” yelled Mark as Yuno stared at them with confused looks.

“I… don’t know myself if I am being honest, even I don't understand how that is possible. Maybe a genetic mutation of some sorts, but that is all that I could think off.” he said as he looked at the ground, this couldn’t be natural, could it?

There has to be an outside source to it, but that wasn’t possible.

He then looked back at the two, “So, will you two finally leave me alone, or-” but before Yuno could even finish his sentence, chains appeared from the walls and ground that surrounded all three of them as they were all chained up.

Both Bruno and Mark were chained up to the wall as their entire body were chained to them as there were chains that wrapped around their entire body outside of their torso, as Yuno was chained while standing up with his Grimoire being chained up so he doesn’t use any of his new Wind or Star Magic.

“My, oh my, look at what we have here.” the man began to walk towards Yuno and his Grimoire, “A 4 Leaf Grimoire, my that is so rare, isn’t it? Wouldn’t that be a one of a kind ever since the first Wizard King? Well I guess that would be so valuable.”

He was a young man with long flowing black hair, with a burn scar around his left eye as his eyes were blue, as he wore a red robe, a black shirt and black pants as chains were all around him.

Yuno stared at him with wide eyes, “Who the hell are you?” he asked as the man laughed.

“Who? Me? Well, I guess that makes sense since you are from this shitty village, you probably never heard of me, well allow me to introduce myself, I am Revchi Salik,” Revchi said as Yuno’s eyes narrowed at the man, “A former member of the Purple Orca because they all kicked me out for me being… money hungry, but it is strange to me for that, you know?”

Yuno’s eyes widened when he heard that he was a former Magic Knight, “I mean, why else would anyone be a Magic Knight? To save someone? To protect them? To feel good for themselves?! Don’t make me laugh!” Revchi yelled as he began to laugh at the mere idea of what Yuno thought. He then felt Yuno, Bruno and Mark trying to get out of the chains.

“Oh please don’t even try to move, my Magic Binding Iron Chain Formation makes sure that my targets do go anywhere so your escape is impossible with my chains, not to mention not one of you can use any magic at all.” he said as all three of them stopped from trying to move away from this man’s Chain Magic.

“Now, about that Grimoire of yours.” he said as one of his chains then appeared and grabbed Yuno’s new Grimoire as he then took the Grimoire into his hands, “My oh my, so it truly was a 4 Leaf Grimoire, you really are a fine specimen.” he said as Yuno gritted his teeth.

“Are you an idiot?” asked Yuno as Revchi turned to him in confusion, “Don’t you know that you can’t use someone else’s Grimoire? Only the ones that correspond to the user can use them!” he yelled as Revchi laughed at his face.

“Oh please, don’t give me that! I know that, but here is the thing, I know a good Black Market that would just love your Grimoire! I am going to make the biggest fortune with this one small thing from a worthless specimen.” he said as Yuno gritted his teeth. “Oh and don’t worry, I know that you were chosen by the 4 Leaf, but you haven’t even used it to your full capability! So that’s why I am not even the tiniest bit scared of facing you.”

Yuno gritted his teeth, “Oh yeah? You think your chains will stop me?” Wind appeared all around Yuno as they were growing into a typhoon as two stars appeared around him, one pink and the other brown, “You couldn’t be more wron-” Chains appeared around Yuno’s neck as then one chain went towards him, but stopped right next to his neck as Bruno and Mark were shocked to see it.

“Oh ho ho! Are you a moron? Do you think I wouldn’t expect that? You were the one to be rumoured to create Stars without any additional help from a Grimoire, so you think I wouldn’t think far ahead?” Revchi laughed at the idiocy from Yuno, “Man, and you thought you were going to be the Wizard King?! I would rather trust a damn rat than you as the Wizard King!” he began to laugh as he began to approach Yuno as he was silent as the Wind disappeared and the Stars as well.

“Oh god, your ears are disgustingly large? What do you want, an achievement for the largest ears? HAH, don’t make me laugh!” Revchi laughed as Yuno looked down as best as he could. It’s always the same with his ears.

He didn’t understand what people cared about them or why he even had them.

Revchi then looked down to see Yuno’s amulet, the same one that he has been keeping close ever since he was a little child and grinned ear to ear, “My, that amulet looks so expensive doesn’t it?” Yuno’s eyes widened when he heard that. No, anything but that.

“You bastard… you wouldn’t.” he said as Revchi looked at him.

“Oh I will and there is no one that would stop me!” he yelled as Yuno then heard a familiar voice.

It was Asta as he then jumped from a higher platform “HHHOOOOOLLLLDDDDD IIIIIITTTTT!” he yelled as he saw from the place where he jumped Yuno being chained up and Revchi looking at him. He narrowed his eyes as he th-

He slammed himself on the wall as he was now dragged down from the wall.

Yuno, Bruno and Mark all sweatdropped, “Great. Our hero has arrived. Yippe.” they all thought in unison.

“What the hell?” asked Revchi.

Asta then stood up as he then pointed at Revchi as he was holding Yuno’s Grimoire. “Hey! You there! Give that Grimoire back to Yuno because that isn’t yours!” he yelled as Revchi looked at him and began to laugh.

“Oh, well if it isn’t the little brat that didn’t get a Grimoire! I gotta admit, you made a very funny scene that I haven’t seen in a quite a while!” he yelled as Asta gritted his teeth.

“That’s right. Maybe I didn’t get a Grimoire, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that you are stealing from Yuno, so give that back right now!” Asta yelled as Yuno looked at his foster brother, “Grimoires are supposed to be used by their master’s! Not by other people! They are the soul of a mage, so you better give that Grimoire back!”

Revchi snickered as he then brought up his purple coloured Grimoire, “You are funny kid. You actually think that little speech will change my heart? Well, how about I show you my gratitude!” The Grimoire opened itself as the pages began flipping itself.

Yuno’s eyes widened when he saw what was going to happen, “Asta, run! You don’t have to get in between this!” he yelled as Asta’s eyes narrowed.

“And let him take your stuff?! Not a chance!” he began charging at him as Revchi yelled out his new Spell.

“Chain Creation Magic: Dance Of The Pitless Viper!” he yelled as then around him appeared chains with a pointy tip on each and every one of them as they began charging towards Asta.

Asta continued to run as he dodged the closest one to him as it merely scratched him, as he rolled over for the next three as when he was at Revchi’s left, the former Purple Orca turned to him as chains tried to kill him, but he ducked over them, but Revchi dodged an undercut kick with a small jump.

Asta then dodged the next two from his right as while it did scratch his shirt, it didn’t really harm him, so he was still up and kicking as when 4 more chains appeared, he actually had the idea to use one of them as a base to jump over them so he could have a counter attack, which he actually did.

When he was at the back of the former Purple Orca he tried to land a punch at the bastard for stealing his foster brother’s Grimoire, but he was stopped when he felt chains around him as then he felt Revchi grinning. “You fool! You fell right into my trap!” he yelled as Asta's eyes widened when he saw chains all around him.

Yuno’s eyes widened as he was forced to see the man trying to kill his foster brother as all of the chains attacked him, making the poor boy bleed in almost every direction.

Asta was left at the wall, almost unconscious as he was shocked at the sheer power of someone outside of Hage. Even with no Grimoire and building his body to the absolute peak, he was no match. He looked at him as Revchi approached him.

“You poor little loser,” he said as he looked at him, “You should just give up and let the pain get to you, you know it isn’t healthy for you to be like this you know? But you are a commoner, with almost no skill whatsoever!”

“I will not give up! I will be the Wizard King, one day.” he said as he looked at him as Revchi looked at him and laughed.

“You? YOU?! DON’T MAKE ME LAUGH!” he yelled as he slammed his foot, his ankles right at Asta’s shoulder as he yelled in pain, “You want to hear a secret? My chains can tell someone’s Magic by just touching them. You see those two idiots?” he pointed at Bruno and Mark, “They have a pretty decent amount. Your ‘rival’,” he said as if that was a joke.

“He… he has a disgusting amount of mana. More than anyone here combined! I can see him manage impressive things if I don’t sell his Grimoire that is,” he said as he then grinned as he pointed at Asta, “But you? Bah! Don’t make me laugh! YOU HAVE NO MANA!”

Asta and Yuno’s eyes widened when they heard that, “You heard that?! No mana! Not even a drop of mana, I could feel! You know that is impressive. Not once has there ever been a human with no mana, but here you are, being a waste of oxygen!” He began to laugh at him for having no mana whatsoever.

Asta then thought to himself as everything went numb to him and it was white noise. He couldn’t believe it. No magic. In a world where magic is everything, that… was a horrible feeling to have, feeling like you are nothing but a body that could easily be sacrificed.

He realized one thing that was important. That no matter how much he trains his body, it doesn’t matter if it is at the Peak of mankind, it wouldn’t matter as nothing he could do would even affect anything or even use magic.

“Look at yourself! You are the most pitiful person I have ever met! Forget being a Wizard King, or even something simple as a Magic Knight, you would be lucky to even get a job! Unlike this guy,” Revchi pointed at Yuno as Asta layed there, not moving a muscle, “You are nothing, and can’t do shit!”

Asta stood there, thinking how right he was. He was nothing while Yuno was the luckiest man that could ever live. He has 2 powerful Magic Attributes, and was chosen by the 4 Leaf Grimoire, while he was nothing.

“I bet your friend over there must be laughing at you. He may be stoic, but I can tell that he is kicking his knees over the joke that you are! ADMIT IT! YOU ARE BORN AS A LOSER!” he yelled as Asta thought he was right.

He was born a loser. Nothing but a magicless brat that should take a hint already and that he should just give up. Well, maybe they were right. He should give u-

“HEY! Who are you calling a loser?!” yelled Yuno as Revchi looked at him with a confused expression. “It may be true that he doesn’t have any magic and he will never become the Wizard King.” Revchi laughed as he thought that he wouldn't become the Wizard King, but he wasn’t done, “Because I will become the Wizard King!”

“You?! You might have something special, but tell me how will you act without your Grimoire, you idiot?” he asked as Yuno looked to the ground.

“I don’t know, but what I do know, is that no matter what, no matter what happens to me or anyone else, that I will never give up!” he yelled as Asta thought that it was nice to hear that, but, how did that change things? “And what you said to Asta is wrong! Sure he may be loud, annoying and impatient, but he will always be something that no one would ever be to me, and that, is that he is my RIVAL!” he yelled as Asta’s eyes widened when he heard that.

Did he just heard that? So.. he finally said it himself, eh?

“Really now? This is the man that you would call your rival?” Revchi asked as he began to stomp on Asta’s shoulder, “The only man that can’t use any magic?! Man, you really are-” he was stopped as he could feel Asta hold his foot as he turned to him. “What the hell?”

“Not yet, I am not giving up.” he said, as Asta’s voice began to sound more and more devilish, Revchi began walking backwards, “I am never giving up. Sorry that you have to see me like this Yuno, but trust me. Give me a second! THAT’S ALL THAT I NEED!” he yelled at the top of his lungs as they all felt it.

Yuno, Revchi, Asta, Bruno and Mark all felt it. The atmosphere turned blue as it felt cold and malicious as they then saw from the wall come out an ancient looking book that was covered in dust that it was almost impossible to see, it looked like a Grimoire, but there is this massive difference that no one could spot since it was so dirty.

It was a 5 Leaf Grimoire. That couldn’t be real, could it? Well, according to some rumours that were spread out for centuries, there was only 1 explanation for those types of Grimoires.

The 3 Leafs of the Clover represent Faith, Hope and Love. The rare 4 Leaf represents Good Luck, while the 5 Leaf? Well there resides… the devil.

Around Asta there was a brief looking demon with large claws, wings and a spiky back that was on the walls as a shadow as Revchi’s Chains began to disappear as Yuno smirked, “Of course. Like you wouldn’t be chosen.” he said as he was proud of his fost- no, his rival.

Revchi wondered was this his magic? Some kind of… Anti Magic?! How was that even possible?!

As then from the Grimoire appeared a massive sword that looked dirty of all concepts, but the sword was bigger than Asta as it was as wide as the magicless boy as the sword’s colour was gray as the handle was dark black. The edges were quite dull to say the least, but it was still usable. It was the Demon-Slayer Sword.

“But… but how?! You don’t have any magic!? How did you get that Sword and that Grimoire?!” Revchi yelled at the top of his lungs as Asta then gripped the handle with all of his strength, “What kind of freak of nature are you?!”

“I am a boy with no magic, and I don’t care if I don’t have any magic power! I will make sure that I will be the Wizard King!” yelled Asta as Revchi yelled.

“Oh you won’t be! Chain Creation Magic: Chain Strike!” yelled Revchi as then around him appeared chains that were thinner, but there were a multitude of them as they all went charged straight towards Asta, but Asta raised his sword and slashed them as they all disappeared into nothing.

Revchi’s eyes widened as Yuno smirked at him. He knew that Asta can make the impossible into the possible.

Asta then charged towards him as he pulled his sword backwards for a powerful slash as he began to yell, “I TOLD YOU! I WILL BECOME THE WIZARD KING! BECAUSE MY MAGIC IS NEVER GIVING UP!” he yelled to the heavens as he hit Revchi as the sword became dull because it wasn’t magic as Revchi was flown straight to the wall, creating a massive creator on the wall.

Revchi was now unconscious as then the chains around Yuno, Bruno and Mark all disappeared. Both Bruno and Mark began running away as Yuno stared at his foster brother, best friend, his rival with a smirk.

Asta then took his new sword and placed it in his Grimoire, “I figured, if I can’t use magic, I can use my strength.” he said with a smirk as the sword was sucked into his Grimoire.

“Asta.” Asta then turned around to see Yuno as he had his 4 Leaf Grimoire in his hands. He grinned as he took his Grimoire.

“Hey, check it out, Yuno! I have my very own Grimoire!” he yelled with pure happiness in his voice, “Sure it may be dirty, but hey, I will treasure it with all of my heart!” he said as he began to rub the Grimoire around his face as Yuno stared at his brother with a smirk.

Yuno then began to walk off, “You saved me once more.” Asta then looked at Yuno who was walking to the sunset, “Believe me, Asta. I will pay you for saving me, and we made a promise one night… didn’t we?” he asked as Asta looked at him with shock.

That night? He smirked. It was that day when saved Yuno’s amulet from a drunk man, how could he forget.

“Well yeah, but the way you were acting, I thought that you forgot.” he said as he walked towards him.

Yuno smirked, “Like I would ever be friendly with my rival.” he said as Asta smirked as well. “You showed me that even us can make something out of this world.” he said as Asta smiled at him.

“Yeah, and today… it will be a new start for us, right?” he asked as his rival nodded.

“That’s right, and Asta…” he turned to him as Asta did as well.

“Yuno…”

Both of them smirked as they both fist bumped each other.

“We will fight to see who becomes the Wizard King!”

Finally done with this chapter! And I am glad how it turned out! 8.8K Words for a second chapter is pretty darn impressive and I wonder… how did yall like it? I did, and I can’t wait to write the next Chapter since it does contain a character that was introduced like 50 episodes after Episode 2 as he will be important for both of these guys.

I decided to change up some things for this chapter like the dialouge, but I hoped I made a good job of it. The colour of Yuno’s Grimoire was based on the coloured manga and his Spade Grimoire was Blue, so half blue and green works! If it is changed in the anime, oh well.

I really liked writing this chapter and rewatching the first 2 episodes and I can’t wait to continue writing characters that I love, but you have to wait. I have to update my VRAINS story and then my GX story so you have to wait, I am afraid. I do take requests for this story by the way as I can’t wait to have more interesting ideas, especially for the story. I wrote the intro because I thought it was good and there are somethings that I added along a short bit.
