coward. | conrad fisher x reader
as series that i’m gonna try and go with! THIS HAS S2 SPOILERS
enjoy ;)
Tumblr media
part. one.
i took a deep breath. it’s been 2 years since everything happened. i left cousins for the summer and never came back. not my choice, it was my parents. they got a divorce and my dad could no longer afford the house down here. but here i was. back in cousins. in front of a house i once called home. i barely ever stayed at mine. this was more my home than what my parents bought, and here i was.
my hand was so close to knocking, one millimeter away when i backed out. i didn’t deserve to see them anymore. i left them without even saying i was. true fully, i didn’t know i wasn’t coming back till my dad broke the news that he was selling it. but i have conrad’s number, and i didn’t have the nerve of telling him.
i took a step back as i admired the door. i couldn’t bring myself to knock or ring the doorbell. i really couldn’t. they would be mad at me. they would ask me all these questions when i barely knew the answers myself.
i was a coward. and once again, i left.
i was at rosie’s, getting some pies for something that my dad wanted to throw for the first summer back. i was able to avoid the fishers and the conklins for a few weeks now and yes, it’s hard. the amount of times i was gonna knock on that door or purposely go get muffins in the early morning, just maybe running into jeremiah or conrad, or maybe even steven and belly. but i decided against it, i can’t do that to them. i don’t deserve them anymore.
jeremiahs pov
“was that your stomach?” i said laughing and looking at belly. she glared at me and chuckled.
“i haven’t eaten since this morning jere,” she said.
“rosie’s is just off the road,” i suggested and she nodded like crazy.
“i think i’ll get-”
“blueberry” we both at the same time, we laughed and ordered our pies.
as we were waiting, i saw someone familiar looking at the fruits. i squinted, trying to focus on who that was. my eyes widened as i pulled belly away from nicole.
“what the hell jere?” she brushed me off and apologized to nicole but i only shushed her as i pointed to the girl. “it’s that?” belly looked at me in shock.
“y/ns back” i said as i immediately moved away from belly and ran over to y/n.
y/ns pov
i got startled when a hand was put on my shoulder and turning me around. but when my eyes connected with jeremiah, i stumbled back. how did he find me? was he just here conveniently? oh god…was conrad here? i looked around him for a second when my eyes connected with belly.
“y/n, i can’t believe your back!” i looked back at jeremiah as i was still in shock.
“what? oh yeah, im back” i laughed awkwardly. i looked around again, to see if conrad was here but i saw no one else. just jere and belly.
“are you looking for someone?” belly said as she walked over to us. i looked at them again and shook my quickly.
“huh? no no, absolutely not looking for anyone.” i said as i looked at the fruit. “just looking at getting some more mangos” i again, i laughed even more awkwardly.
“are you okay? you don’t seem like yourself,” jere said. these were the questions i was talking about. soon there’ll be; where did you go? what happened? are your parents okay? how are you dealing with the divorce? which they probably don’t even know about the divorce.
“i’m fine, completely fine.” i said as i smiled. it was a relief seeing them tho. after all these years, they barely changed. other than the fact that jere has muscular arms now and belly has no braces or glasses and a grown women’s body. “what are you guys doing here?” i asked.
“belly’s hungry and not gonna like, i am too. we’re trying to find conrad,” jeremiah said as soon as belly jabbed him in the ribs. i furrowed my eyebrows. trying to find conrad. i thought i saw him at the store a few days ago.
“what do you mean? is he not with the family this year? i saw him at the store,” i told them as belly’s eyes lighted up but jeres down casted to me.
“did no one tell you? conrad didn’t tell you?” he said as he repeated himself.
“what do you mean, tell me? what was he supposed to tell me?” i questioned as i grew more worried. was conrad okay? was he in danger at the store that whole time and i ignored him?
belly and jeremiah looked at each other and sighed. jere put his hand on my shoulder as he brought me close. “moms gone y/n. susannah is gone.”
i don’t think i’ve felt my heart break more than it did in that moment. i felt tears spring to my eyes. i shook my head and i denied them.
“she’s not gone jere,” i whispered. “i swear, she can’t be,” i broke down. jeremiah held me close to him and he let a few tears roll down as well.
i was behind jeremiah and belly as we drove the summer house. i guess those times of me almost knocking on the door was bad idea. no one was home. other than conrad but he wouldn’t have answered, he can’t even answer his phone.
when we pulled up jeremiah jumped out the car and pounded through door yelling for conrad. i got out and walked behind belly, slowly. i saw jeremiah talk to someone and knew immediately that it was con.
“jeremiah, the house is being put up for sell.” he said calmly as he put his hand on his chest to push him back. belly looked confused as she came to his vision.
“what do you mean it’s for sell?” she said as she looked at him.
“what is she doing here?” he said as he looked at jeremiah. i finally walked into the room last and i locked eyes with conrad after 2 years. it was like i could finally breathe. he was right in front of me. he looked at me softly and his eyes teared up.
“y/n?” he whispered as jere pulled belly towards him. moving her out of the way gently. i nodded and he walked to me and hovered his hands over me.
“it’s me connie,” i said quietly. that was what got him. and me. he pulled me into a hug immediately.
“i needed you”

I've Never Stopped. (c.f)
Tumblr media
masterlist
Pairing: Conrad Fisher x Fem!Reader
Summary: coming back to Cousins for the summer after skipping out last year after a rough breakup with your ex-boyfriend, conrad fisher. you hoped that maybe both he and his family had forgotten about you, but it seems like you’re in for a treat.
Warnings: lots of dialogue. swearing. angsty mention of a breakup. little kiss. fluffy ending tho. UNEDITED
a/n: the timeline that i have doesn't fully match with the actual series. also if you feel like you're seeing this twice it's because this was going to be two parts but i ended up liking it as one!
word count. 3.5k
Tumblr media
“You’re coming back this year, no more moping around about it, and that’s final,” your mom tells you.
“But what am I even suppose to do this summer while I’m there, it’s not like I have anything planned.”
“Actually, I signed you up to be a big sister this year for the debutante ball.”
“Wait, what?” you question.
“I knew you would say something like that so I got you something to do while we’re there.”
“Fine, whatever.”
You were sat at table two by Paige, the lady hosting the event and instructor. All the girls were mainly welcoming to you. Asking you questions like if this was your first time in Cousins and why they haven’t seen you around. You brushed off a majority of the questions but told them that you had skipped out last year due to college admissions. Which wasn’t a complete lie since you went to go tour universities like Upenn, Columbia, NYU, and Yale. You got early admission into Columbia and it started beginning of July of last year.
You learned the girls' names which are Nicole, Shayla, Gigi, and a couple others. You tried your best to not give a reaction when they mentioned the infamous Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. You noticed the chair next to you was still open at your table.
“Hey, are we missing anybody?” you asked the girls.
“Yeah, this girl is a new deb this year,” Nicole replied to you.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see Belly Conklin and Jeremiah Fisher walking into the room. You wanted to sink down to the floor to disappear but it was too late. You saw Jeremiah dodge Paige and make his way towards you all giddy. You saw the girls around the table slightly fix their dresses thinking he was coming toward them. You keep your eyes glued down to the table but looked up the second he called your name. What a rookie mistake.
“Y/N! You’re back, man, Conrad is not going to believe this. We missed you last summer. Are you back for good or you going to disappear again?” he rambles to you as he gets closer. He hugs you from behind your chair and kisses your cheek. You blush immediately and notice that Gigi is glaring at you from the table.
“Hey, Jere,” you mumble out.
“I’m glad, you’re here.”
“You know, me too,” you found yourself admitting out loud.
“Okay, I gotta go before Paige has me kicked out, but I’ll text you,” he says rushing out the door.
“Hi, Bells,” you greet the oh-so-familiar girl taking a seat next to you.
“Hey, Y/N,” she replies, smiling at you.
“So when were you going to tell us that you know, a certain lifeguard…” Nicole teases you, trying to ease the tension at the table.
“Family friend, you know.”
“But that’s it, right?” Gigi asks you.
“Yeah, of course. He’s like my little brother.”
Tumblr media
“Y/N, wait up!” you hear from behind you seeing Belly.
“Belly?”
“I don’t want to push you or anything, but I just want to you know that I think Conrad would really enjoy a visit from you, we all would,” she says bashfully looking down to her feet.
“Bells, I miss you too, but he was the one who broke up with me, remember? I don’t think that’s the best idea.”
“Think about it, okay?” she tries again
“Maybe.”
Tumblr media
“CONRAD, GUESS WHAT!” Jere yells barging into Conrad’s room.
“What, Jere?” Conrad says, tiredly looking at him from his bed.
“She’s back.”
“Who’s back?” Conrad questions him.
“Who else, Y/N!” as those words left Jeremiah’s mouth, Conrad found himself getting whiplash from getting up so quickly.
“You sure, it wasn’t some girl that just looked like her?” he asked.
“Oh, it was her,” he hears Belly add from the hallway.
“You’re shitting, me,” Conrad says exasperated falling back down to his bed.
‘Ding’ Jeremiah takes his phone out of his pocket to look at the text message he had just got. He looks to Conrad who had his head stuffed into a pillow then went back out of the hallway to call for Belly.
“Hey, Belly, you wanna go get ice cream with, Y/N?” that got the attention of quite a few people in the house.
“Of course, when?” “Wait, Y/N’s back?” “You’re going where?” all directed towards Jeremiah who seemed occupied on his phone texting back.
“Bells, later before dinner so like in 20-30 mins. Steven, yeah, we saw her today at the deb lunch thing. And, umm, Conrad, we’re going out with Y/N,” Jeremiah blurts out in a rush.
“You think I could go?” Conrad asks.
“Yeah, me too,” Steven adds on.
“Steven, yeah sure that’s fine. I don’t know, Conrad.”
“Come on, I’m sure, she won’t even care,” Conrad pushes.
“Fine, but you better not make her feel unwelcomed. Don’t be selfish here, we all miss her you know,” Jere gives in.
Tumblr media
Your breakup with Conrad didn’t just affect you two but the families too. Your dad didn’t really like Conrad after finding you in your room crying when he had broken up with you. You were thankful for your parents especially your dad considering he was your shoulder to cry on during it. He made sure your mom didn’t push you too much during the weeks after everything happened. You loved your mom, but she never really got the hint when to stop at times. After the breakup your family still went to Susannah’s Fourth of July party that year, breaking the news to everyone you skipped out of going to Cousins because of college admissions. Everyone knew that it was deeper than that.
When Conrad had broken up with you it was truly out of fear, you never knew that. You believed that he didn’t want to be with you anymore and didn’t care enough to give you a valid reason for it. Nobody really understood why he did it. It was so out of the blue since it seemed like you two were so in love with each other. They never expected for Conrad to turn so cold to you right before the summer, well neither did you.
What was going through Conrad’s mind was the fear you would find someone better than him at the universities you talked about. He thought to save himself the pain and do it first. He broke up with you thinking that you would move on and be with some college guy. He loved you too much to see you fall into the arms of someone else while he wasn’t there. He trusted you, but that didn’t stop his fears from overwhelming him. What really pushed him over was when he found out that his dad cheated on his mom while she was going through chemotherapy.
He was so scared to lose you that he lost you in the process.
Tumblr media
You sat down outside of the ice cream parlor, nervous to be spending time with them again. Jeremiah had responded to your text saying he and Belly would both be going. You looked around to see if Jere’s car was around but you see a red jeep pulling up from down the street.
“Shit,” you muttered to yourself.
You prayed that maybe Jeremiah just took Conrad’s car instead of his, but it seemed like the world was against you when you saw him coming out of the car.
“Yo, Y/N, I didn’t believe Jere when he said he was coming to meet you,” you hear Steven say first approaching you. He pulled you into a hug whispering into your ear. “Don’t worry about him, okay?”
You appreciated Steven in moments like this.  You guys have a very brother-sister relationship and he always tried to look out for you. He won't admit it out loud but he was so furious with Conrad screwing up with you. He called you immediately when he found out last you. You've been helping him with trying to prepare for Princeton without anyone knowing. You reassured him that he could do it.
“I’ll try,” you whisper back while hugging him back.
“Y/N!! Oh, have I missed you,” Jere says tackling you with a hug after Steven stepped back.
“You saw me earlier, you know,” you laughed at him.
“Yeah, but for like a minute, so that doesn’t count.”
“You guys could let her breathe,” Belly says behind Jere waiting her turn to talk to you.
“Hey, Bells,” you smiled at her.
“I’m glad, you thought about it,” she says to you quietly.
“I didn’t though, I texted Jere thinking only you and him would be here,” you whisper into her ear as you two hug. You glared at Jeremiah, but he didn’t seem to notice or maybe he just didn’t care.
“Oh, sorry about that,” she responds to you nervously as she lets go.
You felt the world stop for a second when you locked eyes with the one and only Conrad Fisher.
“Hey.”
“Hello, to you too,” you replied monotoned. You didn’t want to give him the pleasure of giving him a reaction to his presence.
“Let’s get ice cream, shall we?” Jeremiah says cutting the tension between you two as you turned your head to look at him.
“Yeah, let’s head in,” you said changing back to your usual tone.
Tumblr media
“So, how’s uni?” Steven asked once you guys headed back outside to sit down.
“It’s interesting, to say the least…” you started
“Any hot people?” Jeremiah said, wiggling his eyebrows at you. You felt Conrad’s eyes bore into you when Jere asked the question.
“Some, but frat boys aren’t really the best at relationships,” you answered.
“YOU GOT WITH A FRAT GUY??” Belly gasped.
“No way, you gave a frat a chance, Y/N,” Steven added.
“It was just a fling. Nothing that serious, really. We went out for like two weeks before I broke up with him,” you said looking at everyone sheepishly.
“Was he good?” Conrad challenged.
“Excuse me?” you said puzzled. You couldn’t believe the nerve he had to ask you that.
“Conrad, chill,” Jeremiah gapped at him.
“Belly, how do you feel about being a deb?” you asked Belly trying to move on from the subject.
“Umm… I don’t know honestly. I’m really nervous about it but I’m glad you got assigned to be my big sister cause I don’t know what I would do without you,” she rambled on.
“Bells, you’ll be great. There’s nothing to worry about and if anything happens we’ll do it together, okay,” you said as you squeezed her hand affectively.
“I can’t believe you’re a big sis, Y/N,” Steven joked with you.
“Yeah, my mom made me deb last year in New York. Then she signed me up to help here.”
“That sounds like her,” Conrad said quietly.
“Did you have fun last year?” Jere asked.
“I did actually. It helped take my mind off things,” you answered while making eye contact with Conrad for a sec before turning your attention back to Jere.
“Someone escorted you?” Steven voiced out.
“Yeah, I have a friend Luke who took me.” as you said that you heard Conrad scoff at the name.
“Hey, we have to head back soon but what if you came to dinner? Please think about it, mom misses you,” Jere begged you.
“Yeah sure,” you agreed already regretting your decision.
“You want one of us to ride back with you?” Belly asked with a mischievous look on her face.
“If one of you want to sure,” you had a feeling where this was going.
“Conrad will go with you,” Jeremiah stated while Conrad stared at him wide-eyed.
“Whatever, I guess, you’re driving though,” you add turning to Conrad.
“Okay,” he muttered out.
Tumblr media
The driving was filled with tension. Neither of you talking to each other but sneaking side glances hoping no one will notice.
“Columbia, treating you good?” he asked while looking to the road.
“Better than you did,” you said bitterly
“Y/n/n, don’t be like that.”
“Be like what?”
“I’m sorry,” he said so quietly that you barely heard it.
“For what exactly?”
“For making a mistake.”
“Conrad, stop.”
“I’m not doing anything.”
“You know what you’re doing and stop it.”
“What am I doing?”
“You trying to make me forgive you after everything.”
“Can you?”
“That’s not the point. Why should I give you the decency of forgiveness when you couldn’t even give me a damn reason.” you scoffed as he pulled in front of the house.
You walked out of the car and headed towards the door, taking deep breaths to calm yourself down. You got to the door and debated on knocking but instead chose to walk in trying to not make any noise. You heard Conrad shuffle behind you but ignored him. You walked into the kitchen and saw Laurel and Susannah cooking dinner. You sat down at the counter not wanting to disturb them.
“Y/N! You’re here!” Susannah says happily to you. She lowered the heat on the stove and went to you for a hug.
“Hey, Y/N,” you hear Laurel say while you are engulfed in a hug from Susannah.
“Mom, you can let her breathe now,” Conrad told his mom.
“Connie, be quiet for a second. Let me just admire her, she’s so beautiful.” you blush at her words.
“Your mom was telling me that you got into Columbia last year right?” Laurel asked.
“Yeah, early admission.”
“That’s exciting,” she replies.
“Now, why haven’t visited us yet?” Susannah questioned you.
“I’m sorry, I’ve been busy getting stuff together to be a big sis for the ball,” you answered giving an excuse for the summer only.
“Oh, Belly was telling me about that. She’s really glad that she can spend time with you again. She’s always looked up to you,” Laurel said smiling warmly at you.
“I missed her.”
“Well, we’ve all missed you,” Susannah told you slightly glaring at Conrad behind you, pulling you into another hug.
“Yeah.” you hear behind you.
Tumblr media
Nothing was ever in your favor. You sat right next to Conrad and had Steven next to you and Belly in front of you. The room was filled with awkward tension seeping from both you and Conrad. You talked to Steven quietly as everyone else had their own conversations.
“How’s the application process?” you asked Steven.
“Dad, says he thinks I can get in with some financial aid and I’m going to apply for a couple scholarships.”
“A couple scholarships for what?” Laurel sparks interest in your guys’ conversation.
“I’m applying to Princeton,” Steven told her. Everyone dropped their side conversations and paid attention to Laurel and him.
“I thought you gave up on that.”
“No, Dad and Y/N think I can do it if I get some help so I thought it was worth a shot,” he says to her slowly quieting his voice by the end of it.
“Laurel, Steven will be fine. If I could get into Columbia on a full ride, I’m sure he can too,” you try to reassure her.
“Yeah, and Y/N would only be like a 2-hour drive away too if I ever need anything,” Steven adds on.
“Steven, I think that’s great for you, hun,” Susannah says sweetly.
“You going to let me steal your sweatshirt?” Belly asks Steven excitedly.
“As if,” Steven scoffs.
“Hey, Bells how do you feel about a Columbia hoodie?” you say to Belly trying to make up for Steven’s rudeness.
“Really?”
“Yeah, of course, I’ll bring it next time.”
“So you’ll be here the next time?” Jeremiah says jokingly.
“I'll be around.”
“That’s great, sweetheart. It would be nice having you around again,” Susannah tells you as you feel Conrad’s stare from your side.
“How’s football, Conrad?” you asked trying to make small talk.
“I quit.”
“Oh.”
“You still doing volleyball?”
“Yeah, I’m trying out for captain next year.”
“That’s good.”
Tumblr media
“Can we talk?” you hear Conrad say behind you.
“Sure, give me a sec. Jere, she really likes you don’t mess it up.”
“I won’t!” Jeremiah yelled walking back into the house.
You and Conrad sit beside the pool as everyone is inside. You kept a distance between you two but Conrad seemed to inch closer to you by the minute.
“What’d you want to talk about?” you said breaking the silence.
“I never meant to hurt you.”
“You see, Conrad that’s the problem you did.”
“It was for the best.”
“What do you mean for the best, I was in love with you.”
“I loved you too.”
“Sure didn’t seem that way when you said you wanted a break.”
“Y/N, I was scared okay.”
“Scared for what exactly, Conrad?” you snapped him not getting where he was going with this conversation.
“We would’ve never lasted with you in college.”
“Well, now we’ll never know.”
“You seemed to move on pretty quick so I guess I was right.”
“Oh fuck you, Conrad. I had my heart broken because of you and all you think is that.”
“You were going to leave me.” Conrad implied as his voice cracked.
“What?” you said looking at him and making eye contact.
“You would’ve found some college guy and probably notice how much better he is than me.”
“Conrad, I don’t understand.”
“I was so fucking scared, Y/N. I thought maybe if I broke up with you first it would save me some of the heartache. I think it only made it worse.”
“What do you mean ‘broke up with me first’? Conrad, I would’ve never done that to you and I’m offended you don’t have any faith in me.”
“My dad cheated on my mom okay,” he said to you looking down towards the pool.
“Oh, Con, I’m so sorry,” you grabbed his hand. You felt him tighten his hold against yours when you tried to pull back.
“I found out a week before we broke up.”
“Oh," you muttered under your breath as everything started clicking in your mind about how your breakup went down.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. For everything.”
“I know, Con,” you said.
Conrad Fisher always had that effect on you. No matter how much you tried to deny it you would always love him. For that, you would always end up forgiving him in the end. You wondered if he still had any love for you back.
“You know I never stopped loving you,” he said quietly, reconnecting your eyes. It was almost as if he read your mind.
“No. You can’t do that, Conrad. It hurts too much,” you said feeling tears fill your eyes.
“I should’ve never done what I did.”
“Conrad, stop.”
“No. I need you to know I regret it okay.”
“You’re only saying this cause I’m back,” you said as the tears fell from your eyes.
“I’m not. You know I tried visiting you once a couple weeks after everything but you were rehearsing with Luke,” he told you as he raised his hand to wipe away your tears.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” you flushed as you saw him stare at your face slowly taking you in admiration.
“I thought you would be better off without me,” he said rubbing his thumb against your cheek.
“Con,” you found yourself slowly leaning into his touch.
“I’ve always adored you.”
You tried looking away from him but you felt him gently grab your chin and tilt it up towards him.
“You’re an ass.” you laughed trying to put your nerves away as you looked down to his lips before traveling your eyes back to his.
“I love you and I am sorry,” he whispered to you as he pulled you in.
“Con, this is wrong.”
“Nothing is wrong. It’s only us,” he said inches away from your lips.
He put his lips against yours and grabbed your face closer to him. You found yourself kissing him back wrapping your arms around his neck. It was as if you could feel the emotion Conrad was putting into this kiss, it felt like he was giving it his all. As if it was to make up for the past.
“Always know how to make a girl blush,” you said against his lips. You felt the vibration of his laugh as you said it. You missed hearing it. He pushed his lips back onto yours with the same kind of passion as before.
“Only you,” he responded as he pulled back leaning his forehead against yours.
“Do you really think this is smart?” you muttered.
“It was stupid of me to ruin what we had in the first place.”
“Okay.” and with that, he grabbed your face into his hands.
“You. You’re the one I love and I promise I won’t make the same mistake.”

i just realized that i never actually made a whole analysis on 4-4N?? i technically did in first art post i made of the level last november, but the actual original post had it and i. cant find the rambles on it anymore 💀 so i decided i might as well start fresh and share my thoughts without keymashing every two sentences (unskippable cutscene under the cut <3)
Tumblr media
i like to think that the “you can be my muse, ill write these songs for you” line from att is a parallel of sorts, in murmurs being from nicoles perspective instead. i mean cole is the whole reason she even picked up her guitar again, and she doesnt play it just because shes inspired since she even thinks about playing FOR him judging by her dialogue which is. crying rn im still not over that because GIRL
with the whole thing about night shifts "being part of the story but not really" im kinda bothered about murmurs being a night shift since what happened might not be brought up later in the story 😭 if it somehow does tho, im thinking of a buildup to a hypothetical 2-XN where its mostly from nicoles perspective
like being a parallel to 2-X with her being the lead singer and the instrumental having her signature acoustic instead. or partly acoustic with coles edm, since most night shifts are supposed to harder counterparts and i dont know how an acoustic boss fight would work lol (actually mental image of nicole beating us up with her guitar that would be funny)
the line "at least i hope you will be" at the very end of att is mostly sung by her, and from what i can gather it seems like shes pretty hesitant or just unsure that cole is the one who could help her get through her addiction. i also noticed that the after clear dialogue has cole (indirectly) talking about nicole being his inspiration instead of having to rely on caffeine, though nicole doesnt say the same thing about her smoking, and im gonna be honest if there was a 2-XN i would love to see her admit it too 😭😭😭
lmao this basically turned into a 2-X ramble but anyways im going back to crying over midterms i just wanted to post this before i forget again wbhwbhuwubhw

Lay Copperbottom belongs to @annashadowstar
Amelia Copperbottom belongs to @androidcharles
Toppat!Cameron belongs to @rarestdoge
Holly Copperbottom belongs to @bor0wik
Morgana Price belongs to @smoresthehalloweenqueen
Kathi (The Naga), Chilly (The Purple Alien) belongs to me
Note for Smores: Kathi and Chilly are Morgana's friends in this Au, when Kathi was first introduced into the Toppat clan, most of the toppats saw her as a threat (She's still seem as a threat) because all Toppats have heard stories about nagas and their hypnotic powers, but toppats like Morgana gave her a warm welcome, Kathi was not like the other nagas, she wanted human friends because she was always so lonely, there are few toppats who see her as a friend (Like Reginald, Nicole, Sven, Burt, Carol, Mercudi, Bonnie, etc) but there are very few, all Toppats don't want to get close to Kathi and they don't trust her as much as they trust Chilly (a alien that escaped Area 51 and was found by the toppats), mostly all Toppats see Kathi as a "monster" who hypnotizes humans, but she's not like that, and she wants to prove everyone they're wrong (even tho it's really hard for her).

Ok real talk tho, here is how they can improve dead space 3 for a remake.
Less focus on saving the world and more focus on the characters. i want to see isaac and ellie try to repair their relationship, i want to see carver go from grumpy git to isaacs friend and i want to see robert norton go from a good man with good intentions to someone who cracks under pressure, not because of some dumb jealousy thing with Isaac. if you were feeling REALLY spicy you could even make Danik a reasonable if categorically wrong man who eventually goes absolutely fruit loops by the end instead of starting out that way.
give isaac more story besides running after ellie. i know saving people, particularly the women in his life is a running theme with mr clarke, we do stan a feminist king. but he was perfectly capable of doing everything in dead space 1 WHILE ALSO looking for Nicole, his every other word wasn't about her. Dead space 3 makes me feel like he is only capable of pining after ellie and that is just not him. Isaac and ellie were together for 2-3 years, he knows her and he knows she can look after herself, it's the rest of the fucking universe that needs his competence and intelligence, not her. and if you must go this way, please don't make it another rescue mission. Again, ellie is a survivor and an intelligent person maybe even as smart as isaac she does not need saving.
also give the girl back her sports bra im sick of the cleavage. how she jumped 3 cup sizes is beyond me.
keep carver in the story but make him either an AI companion or do what NIER : Automata or RE2MAKE did. you play all the way through as isaac, then as carver and then once again as whoever for the ending OR you play all the way to the end as Isaac and then on a second playthrough you can be Carver and the way that you played as Isaac is now how your ai partner isaac behaves.
do not lock Carvers story behind coop missions. i know visceral didnt want to do this, they were made to by ea but still it seems like a dumb move even on their part. Carver didnt need to be there but since he is, why are you hiding that light under a bushel ea???
big one: get rid of the micropayments and retool the fucking weapons and combat. most of the guns are like water pistols and the necromorphs tank hits like brick shithouses. i know SCAF weapons are 200 years old by the time of dead space 3 but like. Isaac is smart enough to make a ripper, a line cutter and a plasma cutter on its own without bolting them together.
do not hide the true ending behind a dlc paywall. i think i was the only person on the planet that actually liked Awakened, better than the base game too. so it pains me to say that it didnt need to exist: either cut it completly and use it as the opening for dead space 4 or merge it into the ending of dead space 3 somehow.
lastly i think the story needs some tweaking. if we look at the progression it goes > outbreak on one ship > outbreak on a station> universe wide outbreaks everyone is doomed. now granted i understand you need to escate things for sequels but i just dont feel the same gravity of the situation in 3 as a did in 1 or 2. we never see the world outside isaacs pov which is fine but i would still like to see some of the world before it got fucked over a picket fence by the unitologists. the only glimpses we get are in text logs and it would make me feel more urgency to save the world if i actually knew what the world was like.
Continuing on with my story point: isaac needs some tweaks. he is a broken and cynical man by 3 which is very fair given all hes gone through but he is also a savior and defender at heart. no, he didnt ask for any of this but since he's stuck in this situation you know damn well he is going to do his best to fix this. I always found it weird that Isaac was essentially suicidal by the time of 3s opening, he was killing himself with indifference and clearly not looking after himself but when Norton comes knocking he still says "find someone else for your suicide mission" outright refusing all of it until ellie is mentioned. why didnt norton open with "ellie is in trouble, she sent us to get you to help" ? and why did isaac flat out refuse if he didnt care about his own life???
all this to say i would very much like to see isaac living a somewhat normal life after 2. ok maybe hes still depressed and alone but hes also still trying to move on, anything better to explain his reluctance to get dragged back into things . Maybe instead of having isaac backed into a corner and avoiding the world it could be more of a case of "i fucking told you so" like the mass effect series. Isaac has spent 2 games telling everyone who will listen "do not fuck with the markers" and now maybe he could be really fucking annoyed that no one has listened and as the only competent man in the galaxy hes got to go sort this shit out on principal.
here also are some things id just like to see.
Isaac struggling with his marker problem less like psychosis and more like a general disability or chronic illness. yes it sucks ass and yes its disabling but hes still a badass despite it. i dont like the wooohhhoooo mental illness scary vibes i get from other marker touched people like stross. thats just not how it works.
isaac with psysical scars from his time in project teleomere/ the hospital in dead space 2. i would like to see him with wounds from the first game healed and also maybe some marker scrawl on him as a permenant reminder of what happened.
id like to see ellie have a more active role or even be a playable character. doesnt have to be a big thing, do something like the born from a wish scenario in silent hill 2, maybe cover the 2 weeks she was lost in space before ds3 takes place.
id like to see the necromorph process slowed down. it happens so fast its almost meaningless, not to mention unbelievable. if it happens over time and the characters can see and react to it happening that has more emotional impact.
In the ending where carver and Isaac get blown off the platform, I want to see them holding hands to stay together.
if i think anymore ill put them in the reblogs or something
but yeah ea hit me up im ready to advise
or if ur not ea and just wana chat shite about dead space you can hit me up too

What kind of music do you think the dolls will like? Like their genre of music (hopefully it's understandable cuz I have no clues what I just said 💀)
nah nah u good :D
hm... i mean from the get-go i'd say all the characters who have singers as their voice actors would probably listen to their singer's style of music. for instance, i can totally see lou listening to nick jonas and kitty listening to charli xcx. but aside from that...
moxy would totally listen to pop music. but like, that really cheesy pop music from the 2010s that tells you that you are beautiful just the way you are, ya know? britt nicole is someone who comes to mind (every time i listen to her song 'gold' or 'headphones' i just think about moxy). but alsoooo going back to what i said with characters listening to their voice actor's music, i find it amusing if moxy listened to rock as well, as kelly clarkson is kinda pop-rock (or used to be i haven't listened to her entire discography yet). she's just jamming out to some electric guitar or something lmao
i'm not too sure about babo (my mind is saying smooth jazz but idk if that works with him) but wage and lucky bat would totally listen to those 10 hour relaxing ambient music with the windchimes and piano... lucky bat would listen to relax, and wage would listen to ease her nerves.
ugly dog i can see listening to latin music (cause ya know...pitbull mr worldwide 305) and prolly some rock and heavy metal thrown in there for good measure.
ox would be country. for obvious reasons (yeehaw)(i found out about blake shelton through ox so everytime a blake shelton song comes on all i see is ox rotating in my mind)
with lou... you'd probably catch him listening to classical or cafe jazz, but when he's alone he'd listen to most things, i'd say. ...and also he'd listen to electro swing because i said so and i am the voice of authority I MAKE THE CANON /j (but i can see him listening to electro swing). ohhh and songs from musicals too. he is soooo a musicals fan. dunno what musicals he'd listen to tho, i'm not too knowledgeable on them uh
mandy would listen to lofi and indie music... if there's a niche artist who makes nice songs, mandy probably knows of them.
nolan... nolan is a wildcard honestly lmao. he seems like he'd listen to both acoustic and electronic music (daft punk vibes)... actually. just remembered something. you know that sound that plays when the spotlight centres upon nolan? that sounded like dubstep for a moment, and i just remembered thinking that nolan listens to dubstep because of it... so now he does. nolan listens to dubstep too.
all the spy girls would listen to pop, but probably different kinds of it. kitty would totally be hyperpop, no doubt in my mind (probably because charli xcx is more hyperpop nowadays). tuesday is similar to moxy in those 2010s songs, but it would be only the love songs and she'd imagine lou and her singing them together. lydia... probably hip-hop or funk-pop.
that's all the main and side characters... idk what michael and mehgan would listen to uh... also jazz???? maybe??? i don't know enough about tray or icebat to say what they'd listen to... BUT GIBBERISH CAT WOULD LISTEN TO BREAKCORE MUSIC HANDS DOWN

Three Gays in a Predicament || Andy, Leah, Nicole
TIMING: current. LOCATION: art walk in downtown. PARTIES: @phoenixleah, @nicsalazar & @declinlalune SUMMARY: andy, leah, and nicole decide to have a nice time out on an art walk before they're rudely interrupted. CONTENT WARNINGS: sibling death mentions.
“Did you know she wrote ‘Jolene’ and ‘I will always love you’ in one day?”
Nicole heard the guide call out to the group of tourists snapping pictures right in front of them. A small gathering she actively tried to walk past, bumping shoulders, and getting elbowed on the ribs in the process. She tugged on Leah’s fingers, gently pushing forward when her smaller half looked to be winding up to interject in the conversation. Nicole offered her most sincere apologetic smile, one that promised she could share her Dolly Parton facts or dispute the guide’s claims in the safety of… not this crowd.
All things considered, Nicole was handling the outing well. It wasn’t a typical tourist spot for her. That often entailed less human interaction and more physical exertion, plus a completely different landscape. But it was fun (aside from the current tourist problem). Different. The idea of hanging out casually with a girlfriend and a friend seemed impossible not too long ago. That reminder of her progress eased some of the tension building up on her shoulders. Bursted the anxiety bubbling in her chest.
The last she heard, was a couple of teens talking about Dolly’s eyes moving, but they were no longer within earshot as Nicole led Leah and Andy toward another mural. This one, which garnered less interest, had a very distinct garlic smell in the air instead (which may have been the reason people were avoiding it). And yeah, she couldn’t ignore her stomach grumbling in response. Following her line of sight, her gaze landed on Andy when she asked, “should we… you wanna get something to eat before we continue?” while gesturing at the food trucks around.
Andy wasn’t sure how she didn’t know that Leah and Nicole were dating. Nicole had mentioned how she wasn’t in town a lot, but still. After having befriended Leah, Andy felt like she should’ve known that the other woman was in a steady relationship at the very least. Getting closer to the two of them felt both like a blessing and a curse. For one, Andy was grateful that she finally had friends her own age, and with like interests, too. The guilt, however, was hard to ignore. She knew that both Nicole and Leah were not human, but they had no idea that she knew that. The urge to tell them was overwhelming, but she didn’t want to lose two friends. She knew it was selfish, and at the end of the day, she hated herself for it.
But it didn’t stop her from accepting invitations to hike with Nicole, or to visit Leah’s shop and just talk. Andy hated that she knew what she knew, but there’d be nothing she could do to get away from it, so she had to accept it. Maybe one day she could tell them, but not when their budding friendship from occasional hangouts had maybe turned into something more. Something real. Because Andy and Alex wouldn’t have to leave Wicked’s Rest. They could stay this time.
The art walk hadn’t been so much her idea as a thrown in comment about how it offered enough to do while still allowing movement. Andy didn’t think that her first hangout with the couple should’ve been third-wheeling at the cinema.
The guide continued to explain the origins of another mural as Andy followed Nicole to another painting, bright and bold on the wall. She wasn’t sure why she’d never come to the art walk before. The smell of the garlic made it so that Andy was beginning to taste it on her tongue. Mouth watering involuntarily, Andy looked over at Nicole as she offered the choice of grabbing a bite to eat. “You read my mind.” Andy smiled at her friend before looking at Leah. The two were impossibly cute together. Like they were meant for one another. Before Andy had really had grown roots anywhere, she thought that kind of thing– relationships, were things of fiction. She’d seen them in television shows and in music videos, but hadn’t ever imagined that she’d feel the adoration radiating from somebody towards another person herself. It hadn’t helped that her parents weren’t exactly the loving type. “I kind of want fries… Do you think they have that? I’m not sure I’ve actually ever eaten from any of these.” It was a dumb question, because almost every food truck advertised some version of fries, whether it was Belgian style or topped with chili and queso. “Answered my own question, never mind. But food. Yes.”
Leah had to work to actively continue walking along with Nicole and Andy. She loved a good tour, especially from someone as knowledgeable as a museum docent.   In another life, where she wasn’t terrified of public speaking, maybe Leah could have been one- although she was sure her topic would have been a bit more academic than the queen of country.    As they ended up in front of the garlic scented mural, Leah suddenly had a craving for garlic bread.  “I’m down.  I wonder if that bread truck is still around!”
As they made their way over to the trucks, Leah made a point of people watching.  It was an activity she often participated in, especially when Nicole was there to guide her along the way while she was distracted.  With a crowd as big as they were in, it was fun to take a guess as to who might be supernatural, or who might be a normie, or a hunter, or who might just be an asshole, too.  She pointed toward a food truck that exclusively served potatoes with a grin.  “I think you’ll find what you’re looking for at ‘Spuds’, Andy.  I’m hankering for a loaded baked potato myself, since it seems the garlic bread is out of the question.”
The line was longer than she had expected, but it just meant more time for people watching.  “We should take one of those guided tours one day”, she said to her companions, watching a haphazard group bustle by them.  I think that sort of controlled chaos looks sort of… thrilling!”  The line moved forward, but she walked backwards as it moved since she was facing Andy and Nicole.  “Or we could try a natural history museum, or even a more formal art gallery.”
Nicole wanted to tell Leah there was no bread truck around, not one that she could pick up with her keen senses, but that might end up revealing a little more about herself to Andy. She knew it’d come a time to disclose that part of herself, she had no reason to believe Andy would harbor negative feelings towards supernaturals, but she still had a long way to go before blurting it out in the middle of an art boardwalk. “We’ll get you that bread later” she promised, a smitten smile playing on her lips.
She walked in silence, allowing Leah and Andy to work out the best snack option. Which turned out to be a truck specialized in potatoes. It was fine, good even. Nicole liked potatoes. She just wished the line and the crowd weren’t so…long. She stepped back to let Leah go in front, the pads of her fingers tapping her girlfriend’s palm three times before releasing. I love you. Leah would know what to order for her, she didn’t have to stress about it. Crossing her arms over her chest, she turned towards Andy, eyebrows lifting in amusement as Leah geeked out about potential tour ideas. Not even close to the first time she had done so, nor the last time she’d do it. But always impossibly adorable. “You know I’ll follow, as long as there’s a food break. What about you, are you a history or art buff or just… arm buff?” she nodded at Andy, face morphing in disgust as she heard her own cringy joke. She could guess the answer. Andy was a lot more like Nicole than Leah, but she had learned not to stick to assumptions when it came to her friend.
The line had been long, but moved surprisingly fast, which led to the trio reaching the window in a matter of minutes. Nicole stepped to the side, leaving Leah and Andy to take care of things. And once the orders were placed, she waved at the pair to join her by the side of the truck to wait for their food. She continued where the conversation had been left off before they were interrupted. “I don’t know if Wicked’s rest has that many… uh, cultural places though”.
Andy looked around, gaze scanning for the coveted garlic bread truck, but it didn’t seem like it had made an appearance. Andy looked over at Nicole as she explained to Leah that they could get it sometime later. A small grin pulled at the corners of her lips and she averted her gaze, watching as a kid with a balloon ran up behind his parents. She had reassured Nicole that it wouldn’t be weird if it were just the three of them and she wanted to hold onto that promise, even if it hadn’t been much of a promise at all. Andy didn’t want to make things awkward just because she didn’t have a hand to hold. Besides, she didn’t think she’d fit the part of that– of somebody else’s other half. It was something she had made peace with. It was nice enough to see that love did exist in a way that was not painful.
Leah’s voice pulled Andy from her deep-seated thoughts and she looked back towards the shorter woman gratefully. “Spuds?” She glanced up towards the food truck’s menu, and sure enough, they had fries on it. A few different types, too. Andy followed the women into the line, taking a spot just behind Nicole. She craned her neck so that she could see the rest of the menu, all the while listening to Leah as she explained that maybe they could do something else on another day, too. It made Andy glad to know she hadn’t been too weird or too boring. Granted, she didn’t know if museums were much of her thing, but if Leah wanted to do it, Andy could sacrifice the part of herself that would find it boring– she’d find something interesting about the museum for her friend’s sake. “That would be cool. I’m not sure I’ve ever been to anything like that.” She didn’t think that her visit to Metzli’s gallery had been close to any kind of tour given what had happened, but she knew that Metzli owed her, so maybe it was something she could suggest down the line.
Nicole’s joke caught Andy off guard and she let out an embarrassed laugh. “I think art is cool, you know? But…” She looked at Leah before shrugging, “I’d be willing to try it out. New things, or whatever, don’t wanna be a stick in the mud.” Andy wanted to give it a chance, even if she knew prematurely that it wouldn’t be much of her scene.
Through their discussion, the line moved with ease, and Andy found herself shoving a five dollar bill into the tip jar after ordering her garlic fries and pink lemonade. “I think there are a few? But I mostly spend time outdoors.” She thought about what Nicole had said about Leah being on the more fragile side. She wasn’t sure what that could mean for what she was, but Andy decided not to think about it. She didn’t want to speculate over her friends’ identities. Andy felt her chest tighten with guilt and she cleared her throat to dislodge the feeling. “I think there are some boat tours, too?” She wasn’t sure how seasick either of them got, and to be honest, Andy wasn’t sure about herself, either. “There were a lot of pride events, so maybe something we can do next year?" If their friendships lasted that long. Andy hoped they would.
Leah smiled softly at Nicole’s little symbol, liking that they had things for just them.  It was subtle enough, she hoped, that Andy wouldn’t feel left out or like a third wheel with the two of them, but prominent enough that she felt their connection without any words spoken.  She let Andy order for herself before she stepped up, ordering a loaded baked potato for herself and Smokey Mexican Beef Wedges, no sour cream, for Nicole.  “You just gotta know where to look”, she said toward her girlfriend, dropping some cash in the tip jar.  “Or I guess, it depends on what you consider cultured.  Back in High School, I used to make this brochure about all the best, most interesting spots to visit in town.  I wonder if my mom kept it.”
As they moved to the side to wait for their orders to be called, she suddenly got the feeling like she was being watched.  Not by Andy or Nicole, obviously, they were all looking at each other, but by someone in the crowd, maybe.  She scanned it quickly, but nothing looked out of the ordinary.  It was probably nothing, she surmised, but she felt her shoulders tense in slight apprehension anyway.  She looked toward Andy, a small smile playing on her lips.  “I don’t think it’s a stick in the mud to have a difference of opinion… maybe we could do some sort of cycle, you know?  Like, next time you pick where we go, then Nicole, then me.”  That way, everyone would get a chance to visit someplace they wouldn’t normally go.  At the mention of boats, though, Leah blanched.  She wondered if she visibly whitened like she felt she did.  “I will have to veto water adventures, though”, she said, trying to appear non-chalant.  “Rare water allergy”, she said to Andy to explain like she so often did, never willing to elaborate further.  She shared a glance with Nicole quickly before clearing her throat, moving the conversation along.  “Now pride sounds fun!  I’d definitely be down to dress up and celebrate if both of you would!”
“You did that?” Andy tried to imagine Leah in high school, or even Nicole. She tried to imagine herself, too, sitting at a desk with a notebook in front of her, a pen nervously tapping the desk as she tried to muck up the courage to ask a pretty girl to one of Leah’s events. Despite the fantasy and how she had longed for it once upon a time, Andy’s expression did nothing to betray her. Instead, she smiled. “That’s really cool that you put that much energy into it, but I’d love to see how it holds up.” Andy wondered how many places would have closed, either due to retirement or disaster.
Andy scanned the crowd, mimicking Leah in the way she’d done so. Her eyes landed back on the smaller woman to see her visibly tense. Her brows lifted slightly, but she was brought out of her question as Leah explained that she had a water allergy. Andy knew that if she simply thought about it, connecting Nicole’s statement about Leah’s fragility to the fact that she didn’t like water, she could figure out exactly what her friend was, but Andy didn’t want to. She hated how invasive it was, and hated what it could mean down the line. She pushed the thought away before shrugging. “Oh, no problem.” Andy looked up at the sky, checking to make sure that it wouldn’t rain, but it was as sunny as could be, compared to how it’d been the last few weeks. She looked back at Leah, then to Nicole as Leah explained they should dress up for pride. “I’ve never done anything like that.” Andy paused for a moment before continuing, “I’ve always wanted to, though. My sister and I have done a few things, but…” She motioned towards the two women, slightly embarrassed, “it’d be the first time with friends.”
Her eyes were on Leah as the pair reunited with her. And not for sappy reasons (though that was a given), but because Leah seemed to be carrying tension on her shoulders. It wasn’t there before. She watched her look around, then she noticed Andy joining her, and Nicole wondered what she had missed while they were buying their food. She mirrored the other two, eyes darting around. Looking for what? She wasn’t sure. But she realized the crowd had dispersed enough, only a small group waiting on their snacks remained.
Anyway, it was a fleeting moment and though her eyes lingered on her girlfriend, the trio got back to discussing plans in no time. “I get seasick,” she supplied without missing a beat, examining Leah’s face for discomfort. She in fact, did not get seasick (she’d never been on a boat to know, more precisely). But she hoped it’d remove pressure off Leah to explain herself. Luckily, Andy wasn’t curious enough to ask. Or maybe, she was doing the thing she did during their hikes. Knowing when to drop topics. Regardless, Nicole appreciated it, swiftly moving on to Pride. “Hey, I’ve only been once—” she smiled at Andy, comforting, “last year. It was okay. I think… gotta make it happen for you next year” knowing what Andy had shared about relationships, or lack thereof, she was excited for her friend to experience something like that. She then turned to Leah. “You know how I feel about dressing up, but maybe one—” she was interrupted by a shout. Their food was ready.
Okay. ‘Spuds’ was fast. And their food was good. All qualms about it left Nicole as soon as she took the first (impossibly hot) bite. She let out a few pained huffs, pointing at the most isolated spot in the seating area. Sure, it wasn’t crowded anymore, but she still wanted to enjoy her food in peace, away from the rest of the world. On her peripheral vision she picked up a runner in the distance, but she thought nothing of it, save for the pang of annoyance. He wasn’t running on the trail. But whatever, maybe he was rushing somewhere. They kept walking, and he kept jogging. Until they were reaching the picnic table, and the steps grew louder, quicker. Determined. Nicole turned, watching the runner, now fully sprinting in their direction. Still unsuspecting, she inched closer to Leah, hoping to remove her from this guy’s path (with his speed, even an accidental bump could have serious consequences to her fragile bones).
She urged Leah forward, but didn’t move fast enough to stop herself from colliding with him. Though it wasn't a normal collision. It felt more like a tackle. Only when Nicole’s back hit the ground, knocking the air out of her lungs, and she met his hateful gaze did she understand this wasn’t so accidental after all. She froze, then cowered as the shine of a blade came into view, bracing herself for pain she hadn’t felt in thirteen years, but could never forget.
Their conversations about pride and high school hobbies and potatoes were blissful to a calming degree.  Really, Leah shouldn’t have been lulled by the bliss- someone who had been so keen on watching others since childhood should have been aware enough of her surroundings not to ignore those feelings of unease she had just had.  But the bliss was intoxicating, so much so that she’d nearly forgotten about the fear until she was ushered out of the way by Nicole, watching her get tackled to the ground quickly after.
When people talk about natural responses to dangerous situations, they usually mention fight or flight, but a well-read person could tell you that there were actually 6 common ‘F’ fear responses when it came to high stress situations:  fight, flight, freeze, fawn, flood, and flop.  For flood, it explained a reaction that resulted in a multitude of emotions, sometimes presenting themselves as extreme and inappropriate dysregulation.  Leah had seen it as an observer plenty of times before, but this was the first time she felt it.  In a different situation, she would have tried to remember how she was feeling for research purposes.
If she didn’t already know what this was, the blade against her girlfriend’s neck would have been a quick indicator that those feelings of eyes on them before, the tension that she let slip away from her body in a quick moment, was the same hunter who was here now. Her eye’s flashed toward Andy’s, thinking of all the times they’d danced around what they knew about the realities of Wicked’s Rest.  Leah had decided a long time ago that her friend definitely knew something, though, she supposed she was about to learn the extent of that knowledge.  Nothing like some good old exposure education.
There was a growl from the oaf on top of her girlfriend, and she resisted the urge to kick him right in the gut, worried about the force it would take to have any effect versus the fragility of her bones.  Fear turned into anger, and she had to clench her fists to stop the fire that threatened to erupt there.  Her eyes focused on the knife’s handle, careful to concentrate her energy there (her lack of experience made what she was about to do particularly risky- but she’d practiced temperature transfer enough times to feel it was worth it).  “You’re doing this in broad daylight?” she asked with a sneer, sending heat towards the knife’s handle.  “Sounds pretty desperate to me.  There are better ways to win your daddy’s approval, though.  You can start with a better fitting sweater.  Especially on a day that’s so… hot.”  She attempted to send another flash of heat toward the knife, hopefully enough to burn his hand for good.
If the three were friends, void of any other identities, then maybe they could have continued discussing plans for another time. Andy could recommend bringing bear claws with them wherever they ended up, and Leah would dive into the history of where bear claws originated, probably. Maybe Nicole wouldn’t have such a sad, wandering look behind her eyes. Maybe they could share things about themselves they were so obviously hiding. They could continue eating their food, peeling off towards a secluded spot for the sake of rest and shade rather than anything else. They could be three women, navigating friendship and what that meant with one another. There would be no secrets, and no hurried glances.
But this was Wicked’s Rest, and it was not kind. Especially not to her current company, depending on who was watching.
Andy stumbled back slightly as the man barreled towards them. He dove on top of Nicole, brandishing silver. She could recognize that glint anywhere. Within seconds, he was dropping the blade, cradling his hand. Andy wasn’t sure what had happened, but she shot a glance towards Leah.
The hunter seethed as pain, red and hot, shot through the palm of his hand. The silver knife clattered to the side, and he shot a look towards the two figures behind him. One, a monster, and the other— an unnecessary trip down memory lane. Though she insisted she was not who he thought she was, any fool could see the lies that showed through her rushed excuses. He made a move to grab the knife again, planning to press the point directly into the balam’s chest.
Andy moved quickly, dashing between Leah and the hunter. Gripping the back of his shirt, she yanked him backwards, sending him onto his ass. Her heart hammered in her ears and the taste of iron coated her tongue. Fear for herself, for her friends— for what she would do to this man. Anger coiled in her like a spring as she used the momentum from pulling him off of Nicole and onto the ground. His shoulder blades made a sick cracking sound against the pavement, but she made no move to regret the ferocity in her movements. “Go!” Andy screamed at them, hand clamped down on his wrist as he tried to twist the knife towards her. From where she leaned over him, knee now digging into his chest, she could see the burn mark of the knife’s handle against his palm. What the hell had caused that? Any guessing could prove fatal, but if this man lived up to any kind of code, then she guessed he wouldn’t turn the knife on her, not unless he wanted to prove a point.
“Putting on a show?” The hunter breathed, using every amount of strength he could to yank his hand out from her grip. After freeing himself, he grabbed the redhead by the back of her neck, pulling her to the side in one grand movement of putting her off balance. “Show them who you really are!” He grunted, twisting his body so that now he was on top of her, blade to her throat. “Why are you pretending!”
The first time Nicole came in contact with the sharp end of a blade she hadn’t faced it at all. It had come from behind, torn through her shoulder, catching her by surprise. Her sister’s tiny hand slipped from her fingers as she fell to the ground. Whatever unfolded next was safely tucked away in the most primal part of her brain, out of reach. It belonged to the jaguar. So rationally, this wasn’t as bad. At least she could see the hunter’s intentions written all over his face this time. His disdain and his conviction etched on a sneer. At least this time, she understood why she might have been hunted. At least there were no little siblings nearby to keep safe (and no risk of failing again). But her body didn’t seem to care for any of that when ill timed memories of everything she had lost rushed through her, zapping inside her ribcage like lightning.
Her heart seized in her chest. That unbearable ache had been dulled for a while, snuffed out into something manageable, under control though never quite extinguished, but now ignited again. Wild and devastating. Her shoulder blade throbbed with phantom pain, anticipating something much much worse as he readied to slice her throat. But it didn’t come. Instead he hissed in pain, and Nicole caught a glimpse of his hand, turning red, no doubt soon to be blistered. Leah. She should’ve taken advantage of that split second and push, used her strength to get him off, but her body was still in shock, heart pounding so painfully in her throat it felt like she might choke.
She spotted his motion to grab the knife again and her chest heaved, before something (someone) pulled him back. She heard Andy’s order and Nicole finally felt herself get back into her body. Slowly, she sat up. Andy didn’t hold him off for long. Words were being exchanged, and had she not been dealing with so much already, she could’ve caught the obvious familiarity between the two people quarreling. All she saw instead, was the man shoving Andy to the ground, blade pointed at her. “Leah!” she pleaded, eyes filled with unshed tears. One more distraction. It was too much to ask for, she knew it. But she didn’t trust herself not to be a shaky, weak mess if she got up to help.
Leah was at Nicole’s side the moment the hunter was ripped off of her.  Her hands tried to be everywhere at once;  under Nicole’s arms to help her up, petting at her hair, running over her face gently to check for any signs of injury… but they never quite landed in one spot.  Andy’s urging shook her out of her mini-trance, and somehow, she managed to get the two of them standing, placing herself in front of Nicole in the process.
She squinted her eyes as she tried to process the exchange between the hunter and Andy.  Did they know each other?  If there had been more time to think, Leah might have been able to find a link here- an explanation for Andy’s subtle knowledge about the truth of the world around them, but everything was moving too quickly for her to properly process anything.  Instead, she looked at Andy in front of her, in the same predicament her girlfriend had been in only seconds before.
“We already know, you idiot!”, she said, bluffing and catching Andy’s eyes.  What she was supposed to know, she wasn’t sure, but they could figure that all out later when there wasn’t a knife pressed to one of their necks.  Maybe, like she and Nicole, she was some rare, hidden supernatural species, one that was too subtle for even Leah to pick up on.  Her eyes fell to the knife, dangerously close to drawing blood from her friend.  She  knew if she didn’t weigh her options carefully, the hunter wouldn’t hesitate to hurt Andy.  He was quick, he was trained, and Leah knew better than to try to solve the problem by normal means.
“I’d choose my next move wisely if I were you”, she said, her eyes quickly shifting to their surroundings.  Miraculously, everyone had seemingly left the area without noticing the commotion. There was a small tree in a planter a few yards away, and Leah took a few seconds to release enough heat in its direction long enough for it to catch fire, hoping it might distract or scare the hunter, or both.
“And like I said, it’s too hot today to be wasting your energy like this.  Much, too, hot…”  She was losing energy, and fast, but again she sent some heat in the direction of the hunter, this time focusing on his whole body instead of the tiny knife.  Slowly, she hoped, he’d feel his internal temperature rise and rise, so much so that maybe he’d be sure that it couldn’t go any higher without melting his insides, and even then Leah would let it get a little hotter before she took the heat back.
Maybe it wouldn’t get that far; maybe the hunter would realize he was outnumbered and out-powered and give up before it had the chance to.  But the worst, most inner, feral parts of Leah hoped that it would.
This was the second time that the man had accused her of being something she wasn’t. Or, rather, that she no longer was. She had shed that skin prior to her parents passing, but it didn’t seem to matter to him. He saw Andy’s mother in her, and therefore, with that recognition, he seemed to want something. Did he know about what happened? Did he know Alex?
Her thoughts were jumbled as she craned her neck, trying to bury herself into the concrete below her to put distance between the knife and her throat. The man continued to mumble, enough venom in his words to even poison the kindest of minds. “Get off of me!” Andy tried to slip beneath his grip, but the movement brought the knife closer with the threat of drawing blood. She was strong, but without constant training, there’d be no match against somebody who had continued to keep up with such a thing.
The hunter’s eyes glittered at the promise of pinning the woman to her absolution. To show those she walked freely with that she, too, was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. That just like him, she would spill their blood. At first, he thought her hesitance had come with what happened to her parents. He had known her mother, and she was a spitting image. It was the only reason he was able to tell, with certainty, that she was like him. But she didn’t seem to want to be. It angered him, that she thought just because her parents had passed, she could get out of this. Of her destiny; of putting monsters into the ground. How dare she walk freely amongst them?
Just as he was about to press the blade deeper, something— no, a phoenix, he realized, (with both the burn on his palm and the way the tree had suddenly gone up in flames), started to make him sweat from the inside out. The warmth spread through his body in a way that made him want to peel his skin off for some kind of relief. The groan that left him was agonizing, and perspiration began to bead along his skin.
Andy used the number of distractions to her advantage. Due to the way he was sweating (gross), the knife slipped easily from his grip. She bucked her hips and twisted, jabbing her forearm against his throat to create distance between herself and the hunter. She flipped him to the side and scrambled away from the other two women, not daring reach to them for help. She’d gotten them into this mess. Either Leah or Nicole had done something. She was betting it had been Leah, given Nicole’s desperation. So her friend was a phoenix. That was cool. Then again, she wasn’t so sure they’d be friends after this. Slowly, she got to her feet, her hand to her throat.
The hunter stayed on the ground for a moment longer with no relief to be found. His insides were burning. He was going to die here, and that stupid bitch wasn’t going to help him. She would let him die. “You’re a traitor,” the man hissed, grasping at his chest, pulling his shirt away from his skin. “You do nothing to help me, and instead you help them, you’re a traitor!”
As much as Andy wanted to tell him to go and cry a fucking river, she couldn’t seem to speak. She was a traitor. She’d been called it plenty of times before. Sometimes, jokingly by the other kids in the hunter camps. Even by her own cousin— though, nobody had known exactly how far that went at the time. “You need to go.” It was not directed at the hunter, but instead to Leah and Nicole. What if this guy had friends? “Please. I’ll— I’ll take care of this.”
Leah’s distractions were working, and for that, she was grateful.  Sometimes her powers were a hit or miss.  She wondered if normal sirens and phoenixes- those who grew up surrounded by others like them, got some sort of training on how to control their supernatural differences.  Leah was 10 before she realized she could produce fire, after an argument with her sister that made her so angry she nearly burned their treehouse down.  Since then, she’d been trying to do a training of her own (in secret, that is, until she moved out of her parents house.  They were always worried it was too dangerous to even try).  At first it was hard, because she only seemed to be able to control temperature or throw fire at all when she was incredibly pissed off- a feat that only seemed possible when she was arguing with her siblings.  But over time, though nowhere near perfect, control became easier.
She learned that day that fear must have been a trigger as well.
She was so tuned in on keeping the heat around the hunter that her ears were hyperfocused to what he was saying- so much so that she dropped the act momentarily as she processed his words.  Traitor.  Why would he be calling Andy a Traitor unless…?
She stared at Andy, the circumstances and coincidences of all of this finally coming together to make perfect sense.  The hunter was calling Andy a traitor because she was one, too.  It all made sense now, but Leah didn’t quite want to believe it.
Instinctively, she placed herself in front of Nicole, licking her lips.  Nicole deserved an explanation, but she couldn’t muster one.  “Andy, are you…?”  She swallowed, but then grabbed Nicole’s wrist behind her, walking backwards and pulling Nicole along with you.  She wanted to ask the accusatory question, but her concern for her friend overshadowed the betrayal she felt.  Instead, she said, “Are you sure?”
She didn’t bother waiting for an answer, though, because the more her mind wrapped around the situation, the more she knew that she was right.  She had incapacitated the hunter enough that Andy would be able to deal with him, and now the priority needed to be to get Nicole to safety.  She ran as fast as her low energy would allow her to, toward people or the car or anywhere that might give them a bigger promise of safety than alone in a courtyard with two hunters.  As she pulled poor Nicole along, who probably felt more confused than anything, she breathed out what she had been thinking, trying to fill her in the best she could.  “I think…  I think Andy’s a hunter”, she muttered, not willing to gaze toward her girlfriend to gauge her response.
First, Nicole watched the tree go up in flames, then the man visibly struggled with whatever was being done to him. She knew better than to reach out, even if she wished to place a supportive hand on Leah's shoulder (knowing the toll it took on her), for fear of ruining her focus. She could feel the heat emanating from her even a couple of feet away. The distraction worked, Andy was able to flip them, getting the upper hand. Nicole almost stepped in, feeling steady enough to try and help pinning the man down, but fingertips wrapped around her pulse point, hot and insistent. She was being pulled away, and— only because it was Leah, she followed. Several questions died in her throat. She wouldn’t do this without a good reason. She probably put something together Nicole couldn't see yet.
They ran aimlessly, until the two were back to blending with the artwalk crowd, and Nicole came to a stop. She pulled Leah into an embrace, feeling her own limbs tremble as they gingerly wrapped around the smaller frame. “You did good, you did— thank you…” she gasped, cheek brushing against Leah’s hairline. Apologies built up in her throat, a painful knot she couldn’t swallow. She wished to excuse her own inability to measure up to the circumstances (for the second time in her life). Not only had she failed to do anything, really, she’d forced Leah to put her abilities on display, making herself more of a target. Fear wrapped around her ribcage even before horrible scenarios could form in her head. What if he came back for Leah?
Her anxiety jumped back to Andy, who was currently dealing with that dangerous man. She wanted to ask about her, convince Leah to go back. Andy was strong but not defeat a hunter strong, right? But before she could string the proper sentences, Leah revealed what she had put together before her. Nicole loosened the hold she had on her girlfriend, head turning back to where they came from. Failing to process the information, trying to find ways to refute Leah’s claim. Why would a hunter befriend them? Why would Andy spend so many hours hiking with her, just the two of them in the immensity of the forest and not make a move?  A sting that felt close to betrayal flared in her chest.
But despite the shitty feeling she was experiencing, and the shock she still couldn’t quite shake (her legs still not solid enough), Nicole wanted to go back, check if Andy was alright. Couldn’t entertain the idea that she might not be worth going back for. That their friendship had been a guise for something else. A means to an end. What end? She had no clue. Are you sure? She almost asked, but knew better than that. Leah wouldn’t have left a friend behind for a mere hunch. Her knuckles traced Leah’s jawline, trying to get her attention, searching for her eyes.  “We should go, then. More like them could be waiting to attack”.
Andy dropped next to the hunter, holding him down as best as she could, fearful that he might try and lunge after the two.
However, they ran, just as Andy had instructed. The hunter struggled beneath her hold, but she didn’t dare let go. Letting go would provide access to them, and even though she couldn’t hear their retreating footsteps any longer, she didn’t want to take any chances.
She didn’t want to focus on the way recognition had flitted over Leah’s features, or the confusion in Nicole’s expression. She wanted to get this guy as far away as possible, but how did she do that? He was clearly incapacitated by whatever Leah had done, but there was only a matter of time before he recovered. The hunter groaned, obscenities slurring from him as he wriggled beneath Andy’s grip. She felt stiff— out of her body, almost. She had run with Alex for so long that this was a slap in the face. Had it all been for nothing?
Andy was only half-listening to the way that the hunter pointed out her flaws. She gave him a half-hearted nod before getting him to his feet. She’d get him far away from here, and then she would deal with the aftermath. The fear she’d felt when he’d been on top of Nicole had struck her down, but she needed to make it right now. He wouldn’t hurt anyone else, not as long as she was around. She would make sure of that.

Winging it by Nicole Bell
Book Stats:
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(3.9/5)
Spice Rating: Closed Door 🚪
Tropes: Travel Romance, Forced Proximity, Slow Burn, Workplace Romance
Publisher: Indie
Review:
*Thank you to the author for sending me a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review*
After her dad dies, the only stability in Lola’s life is her job. Little does she realize her performance is slowly slipping and her boss is NOT happy about it. She has one more chance to prove herself, a trip to Greece-which happens to also be were Lola’s dad is from. Only problem tho? Her boss thinks she needs a babysitter…. And that babysitter happens to be none other than Kai, the office golden boy.
First off, this book really really surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it this much. There was great character growth. It was written very well, and I also enjoyed how believable it felt. I loved that it had a different style to it then most workplace romances. The couple was very cute-The MMC, Kai is definitely a sweet talker(There was several different moments of jealousy that had me kicking and screaming my feet)!
I think if you enjoyed the Spanish love deception, you will enjoy this book- it has the same sort of vibes!
My only major thing is that the plot felt a tiny bit repetitive. The couple kept launching into fights that to me seem about very small things. That being said, I think it did help to add some depth to the characters so.
I highly recommend this to anybody who likes a cutesy rom-com read where the characters have to grow to be together.

the summer i turned pretty 1x03 review -- "you mean conrad?"
Oh god, the infinity symbol. Why would you pour that on her pancakes tho. Why is that the moment for the Moment.
"Looking like a vision in floral." She looks NORMAL. You guys are making it seem like she's Arwen coming to Frodo in an ethereal light and bringing him back from the brink of death.
Why would you get your daughter a present because it includes your best friend's favourite poem? That doesn't make any sense. That should be a gift for Susannah. This isn't how you show how close all of you are.
"You excited to see Taylor?" How long has it been since you last saw her? Like a week?
"You're the main character, not Taylor." Is she though?
"I do not want to be cancelled by the sailing community" that's not what being cancelled IS.
stop. saying. extra.
"I just really want to look good next to you" you know, you wouldn't have to try this hard with Jere, Steven.
BOYFRIENDS.
Yeah, Steven, play with your boyfriend
Tumblr media
I don't understand why this volleyball scene is so long.
"I know, I just ... care." Do you though?
So if Nicole is the girl this season then who the fuck is Aubrey?
Nicole, honey, you can do SO MUCH BETTER than Conrad.
"Suddenly you care about clothes, you have new friends, you have a boyfriend." OK a) they're making it seem like Belly was dressing as a slob and she her wearing a baggy shirt and shorts isn't the same vibe, it's like when Teen Wolf was trying to say that Kira looked so un-put-together and messy and my girl was looking like this
Tumblr media
please be serious. 2. Nicole literally sat by the pool with Conrad and watched you and Belly play water volleyball together. It's not like you and Belly went to get a banana split and then Nicole dropped by and she was like I invited Nicole too, that's OK right? and then you watched as they had all these inside jokes and Belly's trying to include you. You are still very prominent Taylor. 3. Same thing. Jere picked you two up it's not like she came to pick you up from the bus station with Cam Cameron and you walk to the car and see them making out and you have to be like "erm erm". *cries in frustration* DETAILS. And if these things happen later, they shouldn't they should happen BEFORE this conversation.
Where are Steven and Jere they are my only source of marginal entertainment this season because of pure head canon.
"Just promise me one thing, we'll always be best friends?" She comes her for three months out of the entire year, Taylor.
Right, Aubrey was his girlfriend from before and Nicole is a new disposable chick.
"You think you could talk to him?" see, if they were as close as they were meant to be, Laurel wouldn't need direction to speak to Connor about opening up. She'd just do it.
Why would you have a Midsommar theme? White people realize it's a movie about white supremacy right?
See Jere's being an ass here with the whole her lips touch a dead animal's lips but calling him Cam Cameron is just a dumb way to be a dick.
And Cam showed you the fuck up with that quick peck, Jere, so shut up you child.
BOYFRIENDS
Tumblr media
Taylor is a good friend though, I just find her supremely annoying but that's a best friend.
OK so if you're going to play Best Friend by Saweetie, this is not the scene you play it at
Tumblr media
for thirty seconds until they walk into the party. Especially when you're rolling up looking like this
Tumblr media
If anything, what should happen is Taylor should do her up, look proud at her work and when they roll up to the party, she's NOTICED by people and Taylor should look her proudly and the song should be playing. JUST GIVE ME A SHOW.
Oh Jere and a disposable Black guy to make out with.
What kind of likkle stiff kiss is this?
*staring at Conrad* for WHY. I love how we're three episodes deep and I have NO IDEA why she likes him.
Yeaaah Lola tries too hard to act like she's having a good time.
So does Jeremiah.
Hahah I like how they skipped over the super rape-y part of Summer Lovin'.
Yeah, see again, this makeout is very just staged. If it's a stupid, drunken mistake, it should be a little sloppier.
"Oh my God I am so sick of hearing about this fucking deb ball." Did Belly ever mention it?
It's literally been one day, Taylor. And aren't you supposed to know that Belly has her Cousins life anyway?
Tumblr media
It has been. a day. And Belly has been acting EXACTLY the same. She just finally wears the clothes you want her to.
Tumblr media
So, she is but she hasn't done anything to you, Taylor, for you to say that.
Tumblr media
We literally never see this, though! She just looks at him from time to time in a way that's supposed to be wistful but she can't access the nuance for that.
I remember I was obsessed with this guy in high school and I took a picture of him and his friends when we all went on a class trip to the States, I really just wanted a picture of him but I wasn't going to ask him to JUST take a picture alone so I took the picture and then I was looking at the picture on the bus but like zooming in so I could only see him and my friend was like WHAT'RE YOU DOING? and looked over and saw what I was doing and then we both decided that she never saw that and THAT was super embarrassing. I should be seeing THAT type of "omg I feel like I'm in high school again" shit from Belly.
Give me a gen z version of this shit
Tumblr media
"I can't deal with this right now. I gotta go." I mean why? What are you doing, Belly?
See I know the whole thing is Jeremiah is supposed to be friending Cam Cameron up to deflect but it's not giving him the layers they think it is.
And he's not good at playing drunk.
OH MY GOD, the way I BURST OUT LAUGHING AT THIS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
she is TERRIBLE.
"Can I ask you something..." "Is that it?" "Yeah, that's it." Why are they acting like the moment to ask him has passed when he still has to drive her home?
Like is that car ride silent?
"They should be in his desk" where she will find the infinity necklace.
"He's been acting weird for months. Just forget him." Lol, do you two like each other?
"And today you can't stop obsessing over Conrad" and like I know that we use that word liberally and this is partly because the acting is terrible but the scene needs more room to breathe. Like I feel like what should happen is she sees the bracelet and she mulls about it quietly and Jeremiah keeps asking her about Cam Cameron and she gives monosyllabic responses and then he's like Bells, where are you? Like you're barely speaking and then she should talk about Conrad in a rush where she just can't stop talking and it's like verbal diarrhea and then she takes a deep breath and Jere's just like wowwwwwwww
Honestly, Belly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brat.
Oh my god Belly, you should be yelling at him for making out with Taylor when he's dating someone else.
For your best friend dying, this is a very cold conversation. Like they're trying to be Beaches but they're not being Beaches.
youtube
My mom was OBSESSED with that movie omg.

half-baked thoughts about what i'd wanna see in a ds2 remake, putting under a cut so nobody has to read a text wall they don't wanna lol :)
i was thinking about what they could do with ellie to make her a lil more interesting in a ds2 remake…. i don't dislike anything about her in ds2 except maybe the outfit not being all that protective, altho To Be Fair isaac is the only character (besides valor dudes and random security npcs, but i'm talking about like, mercer, kendra, stross, etc.) we see on screen wearing a full protective suit in ds1 or ds2 that i can think of (not counting ds2 dlc), so it's not like it's any more unrealistic than mercer or nicole or kyne running around the ship in their puffy pajamas.
but she's not that deep of a character either, and i'd love to see more of the like, mystery in ds1 pulled into ds2 a little more maybe, and i think just having more interesting characters/character relationships would help more than anything else bc that's where ds2 doesn't really do much for me even tho i like the characters lol :B
but like, i feel like the best possible solution is just to integrate the nicole stuff in with the rest of the game/characters, bc it's boring that stross and ellie never see isaac see nicole, and he never tells them about it either. it seems weird that the only person to mention nicole is the doctor at the beginning (but it would complicate things significantly to do it so i do get why they didn't).
if ellie knows isaac is seeing marker!nicole then marker!nicole could also have some kinda response to ellie/stross/whoever else, and you could just get any actual reactions from ellie to any of what is actually happening with isaac ahglksjdf like she could find out about nicole but not know that nicole is related to the ishimura until after they find it, and instead of just being like 'you ok? you sound nervous' 'yeah it kinda sucked last time' when he's going in, there could be like a 'oh yea this is also where my gf died :((' jflsdjf a la isaac oversharing to cross about how he met nicole. like i want to see any characters reacting to what the other characters are experiencing with more than annoyance/alarm
if they wanted to,,, they could subvert that plot point where isaac is like 'i couldn't save nicole but i can save ellie to make up for it' (which i personally find unsatisfying as any kinda resolution. lisa did it better!) by having ellie figure out that he might be planning to do that before he does it bc she she knows about nicole now and could have a little more understanding of like, who isaac actually is? bc it doesn't really feel like any of the main 3 chars get to know each other much during the story and i wanna see like, isaac and stross's relationship explored more? like how well do they know each other? does stross know about nicole? maybe He says something to ellie about her instead of isaac sharing it at first? maybe isaac could actually act like he cares about helping stross bc if he can help stross then mayyybe he's not doomed either?
idk how you'd get her away from the marker tho for the end but maybe she could get like, detained by tiedmann's dudes and taken on a shuttle that then gets [attacked by an infector? pilot loses control? idk] and she gets control of it to go back for isaac?
mostly i just want the relationships to get expanded more... let stross do more than just talk about symbols and crawling around in machines and let isaac stop being so cranky so him and isaac can get to know each other plsssss. oh and i want that bit where you go through ellie's work and hear the audio logs of her/her coworkers to be played up more maybe? or something? bc both of them are revisiting something traumatic that happened to them but idk maybe it's just me but i never found that bit to be super memorable...
oh and the marker should definitely affect ellie more and if she knew what was going on with isaac that would make it way easier to explain what's going on. or maybe if she's starting to get affected by it, he could explain his marker brain problems.
like thematically it's cute, the sprawl is a big, unfinished circle. like it's under construction, and idk maybe i'm wrong but i imagine that eventually it could circle all the way around, ellie goes in a circle back to where she was working when the outbreak started, isaac goes in a circle back through the ishimura, stross is in his cycle of grief/denial, but the character relationships are pretty weak imo and i wish they weren't cause they have the potential to be interesting!
anyway i love ds2 lol this is making me wanna start a new playthrough. i was also thinking of trying to put together a little list of abandoned plot/lore threads in the game just to see

Honestly I don’t get the hate that Christian actually gets like wtf at least he’s honest about shit, yes he can be problematic but my god so are Toto and Mattia and they don’t get the crap Christian does and Jesus last year Toto was horrendous like some of the stuff he said about max and what happened at sliverstone like wtfff toxic as shit.
Toto is still petty that Redbull snatched Max up before they did 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
As a neutral fan who only just started watching f1 last year but I have a family that are big f1 fans I will call out shit that Is actually stupid and especially being English getting comments for Lewis fans (I live about 1hr away from where he grew up) that live around my area is stupid I’m not a Lewis fan and I won’t be a Lewis fan I only heard of him because of Nicole Scherzinger 😂 and the moaning that my older brother would say about how shit F1 has gotten because of Mercedes dominance, like don’t get me wrong I’m not a fan of George but I honestly prefer him to Lewis. I had a conversation with a bloke on a train about why I’m not a Lewis fan and he called me a bitch that don’t know what she’s talking about 🙃
My mum who’s watched f1 since the early 70s I believe has said at how much Max reminds her of past drivers, my older brother who’s watched it since he was like 5 and now 30 says that max is a great driver, I think I will take advice from them who’s a good driver is then DTS fans or fans who only liked Mercedes because they kept winning thanks 😂😂😂
Mercedes’ and Lewis fans need to grow up and stop believing that people who don’t like Lewis are racist because most are not they don’t like him because of past comments the way he’s come across and the temper tantrums he used to throw when he didn’t win “2016”
“Valtteri it’s James” if Mercedes actually gave Valtteri a chance I very doubt Lewis would be a 7 time champ but instead they put him over for Lewis
Sorry for the rant but people👀 need to start sitting down and shutting up because they are making F1 very similar to international football fandom💀
Oh anon I fully 100% agree. Also fuck that guy for the way he spoke to you just cause you aren’t a Lewis fan. It’s ridiculous lack of respect women who enjoy sports have but then to just say you know nothing cause of who is support is pathetic.
Christian gets a bad rep purely because of how much he defends Max and now Checo. People who dislike Christian dislike him cause of the fact that Pierre and Alex were drop (deservedly) and also because of how he treats Max whihc is also deservedly because Max has worked to be the first team driver and Christian has never been one to hide that in the public.
Then we also have last season when let’s be honest he really had to defend his team and Max….Silverstone was a point where people really got a turn off him even tho toto was the one who said that Max basically deserved a crash like this yet Christian was the bad guy?? Toto last year done a lot worse when it came to the media end compared to Christian and yet Christian is so hated by for what? Defending and loving his driver? Wanting the best team of drivers? He is there to win and some fans cannot seem to understand their drivers simply were not good enough and they blame Christian for that
Also the abuse Max fans get, constantly being called racist is fucking stemming from media blaming everything on Max fans. Are Ferrari fans called sexist or scumbags for what they did last weekend? Absolutely not F1 didn’t even bother to make a statement. Merc and lh fans need to drop the ‘im so great’ attitude soon cause they really are a joke.

Wynonna (12:47am): waves is gonna kill me tho
Wynonna (12:47am): rip it was nice knowing you
Wynonna (12:47am): of course she hasnt admitted that what youre doing is fake so….
Wynonna (12:48am): lol at me
Rosita (2:12am): i just got off my shift
Rosita (2:12am): and im assuming that youre asleep
Rosita (2:12am): so tell me in the morning
Rosita (2:12am): since you just left me hanging
Rosita (2:13am): bitch move earp
Wynonna (2:15am): i think i need to tell you in person
Wynonna (2:15am): ill come to your place in the morning?
Wynonna (2:15am): and bring coffee instead of punching you in the face :)
Rosita (2:15am): ok
A knock echoed on her door and Rosita eased herself up. Was she expecting someone? Oh right, the text chain with Wynonna came flooding back. Well, at least she was awake this time.
And fully dressed.
“Hello,” Rosita said as she opened the door.
“Hi.” Wynonna pushed by her to get into the apartment. She held up a tray of coffee and a box of donuts, “I bring a peace offering.”
“You actually brought coffee and donuts?” Rosita followed her into the living room and examined the box. “I should let you punch me more often.”
“It’s, well, it’s not just for that.”
Rosita sighed, “What did you do?”
Wynonna ignored her as she looked around the apartment, “Well, this certainly changed in 24 hours.”
“Well, some of us have to study for school.”
“Oh right, you’re a grad student.” Wynonna said and put the box down on a small space that Rosita cleared of papers. “Just like Waverly.”
“Yep.” Rosita said and took the coffee that Wynonna hadn’t and added a couple sugars. “So?”
“I didn’t mean to, okay?” Wynonna said. “I just didn’t really have any other options.”
“Wynonna.” Rosita’s stomach was feeling worse by the second.
“Okay, okay, so last night, Nicole and I got sloshed. As you saw. Though she was definitely more sloshed than me, for the record.”
“I was there, I’m aware of how drunk you were when you left.”
“And so, I say something like, how you’re just fake dating.”
“Wynonna-”
“But I saved it.” Wynonna grimaced. “Sorta.”
“How could you save it?”
“I convinced her that I said that ‘we should fake date.’”
“What?”
“And she agreed.”
Rosita blinked several times. “She, what?”
Wynonna took a large sip of coffee. “She agreed to fake date me.”
“Why?”
“Um, well I told her, maybe then Waverly would see what she was missing out on.”
“Waverly is going to freak out,” Rosita rubbed her temples. Maybe it was still too early for this. “Why can’t they just ask each other out like normal people?”
“Yes.” Wynonna said, “But considering she’s never actually admitted to me that she likes Nicole, she can’t completely blame me.”
“She’s not going to blame you, she’s going to insist that this means Nicole doesn’t like her. God it was bad enough last night with Nicole ‘complimenting’ me.”
Wynonna grimaced, “Yeah, I’d hoped that Nicole would forget about it all in the morning, but,” Wynonna took out her phone, ensuring that the screen was on.
Haughtstuff (10:03am): So, I’ve thought a lot about your proposition last night, and you made some good points, so I think that we should do it. You’re the best, thanks for doing this for me.
“Oh no.”
“Oh yes.” Wynonna buried her face in her hands.
“She even used perfect grammar.”
“That’s code for, she’s still a little drunk and is trying too hard to make it seem like she’s fine.”
Rosita sighed. “Waverly is extremely insecure because Nicole called me hot last night.”
“Well she isn’t blind even if she’s hung up on my sister and blind about that.” Wynonna smirked.
“Wynonna.” Rosita said, “How are you going to convince Waverly? You guys aren’t believable in the slightest.”
Wynonna just stared at her.
“Right,” Rosita sighed, “She’s hopeless.”
“Yeah,” Wynonna said and took a large bite from her donut.
“Ugh,” Rosita sighed and rubbed her head. “Luckily, I convinced Waverly to date me until the end of the month.”
“So that’s our deadline.”
“Yes.”
“We have to make it terrible for them.” Wynonna said.
“No, we just need to make sure they know that they want each other.” Rosita said. “Somehow with both of them in relationships for the first time in, what two years?” Wynonna nodded.
“You know, this is probably why the closet thing didn’t work out.” Wynonna commented.
“What?” Rosita couldn’t understand how that had to do with anything.
“If you had been there, I’m sure that it would have.”
“Thanks.” Rosita said as a smile crossed her lips for the first time since Wynonna showed her the texts.
“Besides,” Wynonna flopped down on Rosita’s couch and stuffed another donut into her mouth. “This is all your fault.”
“My fault!” Rosita exclaimed. “Fake dating was Waverly’s idea.”
“Yes, and you agreed.” Wynonna shrugged. “If you hadn’t.” Wynonna shrugged, looking far too delighted at the outrage on Rosita’s face. “I know that Nicole and I never would have gotten into this situation.”
Rosita threw one of the sugar packets at Wynonna. “Oh yes, this is totally my fault.” She rolled her eyes, “If I wasn’t here Waverly and Nicole would already be making out.”
“We can never know.” Wynonna said sagely.
“I hate you.” Rosita grumbled.
Wynonna just grinned at her.
“I’m not giving up,” Rosita said, “So now we,” She emphasized the last word, “need to figure out how to convince Waverly that Nicole likes her even though she’s dating her sister.”
Wynonna just chewed on a donut. “I don’t know, but this way, we can play them both right? Like do a double date and ditch them.”
It was the only good idea that Wynonna had shared. Rosita found herself sighing. And not just because the coffee was really good. “Goddamnit Wynonna. You’re actually doing this.”
“I mean I already told Nicole yes.”
Rosita pointed at the coffee, “You owe me coffee for the rest of the week to make up for this.”
“Of course, Boobs McStuffins. It would be my pleasure.”
“Good.” Rosita said, “It can be delivered here at 10am unless otherwise specified. Now, get out, I need to study.”
Wynonna nodded and snagged one more donut.
“And I have to say,” Wynonna said once she stepped outside, “You do look extremely nice, even if I was wishing that you had forgotten to wear pants again.”
“Goodbye.” Rosita said forcefully.
She shut the door with a smile on her face.
Rosita jumped and Jeremy knocked off his binder as the table reverberated with a thud. She glared at Waverly who sighed over the large stack of books she’d just dropped. Every single time. They weren’t in the, make a sound and the librarian will haunt you for the rest of your life section, but they were in the, why do you need to throw twenty pounds of books onto the table without a care section.
Rosita went back to the calculations that were giving her a headache and ignored Waverly as she loudly flipped through the top book. These were hard enough without her sighing.
“Are you alright?” Rosita cut through one of Waverly’s sighs.
“I am having the worst day.” Wavery said.
“Really?” Rosita asked. She probably should have expected this.
“What happened?” Jeremy asked without a trace of annoyance on his face. Why was she surrounded by nice people?
“I was late, because of course my car wasn’t starting, so I took the bus, which is always a mistake. I should have just let Nicole drive me, and then I wouldn’t have spilled my coffee all over the stupid bus. And then Professor Vaughn said that my paper was elementary! A paper on Ancient Sumerian!” Waverly punctated each sentence with a pound on her stack of books. “Not to mention that the creep Will followed me from class to the coffee shop and they were out of non dairy milk!” Waverly stopped. “At least you guys are still here.”
Oh no.
“And Rosita, Will wouldn’t believe me when I told him I was in a relationship, so you better go set him up straight.”
“Right.”
“Aww, you and Nic- ow!” Rosita kicked Jeremy before he could finish his sentence.
“Jeremy,” Rosita said with a patronizing smile, “Waverly and I are in a relationship.”
He laughed, but when they didn’t join him he stopped and looked between them nervously. “Wait, you’re serious? This isn’t a joke?” Long ago, Rosita had filled Jeremy in on Waverly’s non relationship with Nicole, it was one of their favorite subjects when they were procrastinating on a lab. It didn’t help that sadly it was currently the closest thing either of them had to a real relationship. Rosita glared at him and elbowed him in the side. “I mean,” he coughed, “Congratulations! Um, when did this happen?”
“Two days ago, I asked Rosita out. She said yes.” Waverly smiled. If Rosita didn’t know better she’d think that Waverly was genuinely happy with their relationship.
Rosita watched as Jeremy struggled to keep his expression anything other than just shock. “Oh? Wow, I didn’t know you liked her.” An awkward silence met his statement. “That’s cool though,” He nodded his head quickly, “I mean we are all friends so I hope if you break up, not that I’m saying you’ll break up-” Rosita elbowed him again, “Anyway, what prompted you asking her? Her looking totally hot?” Rosita mimed gagging at him
Waverly ignored them, “Have you ever felt you were in a rut?” She stared at them as they looked blankly at her.
“Oh, I thought that was rhetorical.” Jeremy chuckled nervously, “Um, yes you see on one of my projects for-”
“Please don’t continue.” Rosita sighed and Jeremy wisely closed his mouth and nodded at Waverly to continue.
“Well I’ve been in the rut for a very long time.” Two long years, echoed in Rosita’s head, “And I needed to do something about it.”
“And that was to date Rosita?” Jeremy asked. Now he just looked genuinely confused.
“Yes.” Waverly exclaimed like he was the only one who got Final Jeopardy right.
“Basically,” Rosita cut in before Jeremy could ask her something else and force Waverly to continue to pretend she wasn’t in love with someone else, “We think the other one is attractive and we thought why not try it out.”
“You guys certainly live on the wild side.”
Waverly and Rosita shared a look.
“What?” Rosita could only say.
“Oh, um, I mean,” He didn’t seem to realize that he had said his previous comment out loud, “Just that you’re coworkers, and you know we’re all friends, so if you break up, well sorry Rosita, but I’m staying friends with Waverly.”
“Jeremy!” Rosita and Waverly said at once.
“What?” He tried to sink into his chair. “She’s nicer.”
“We actually have some classes together, asshole.” Maybe she shouldn’t tell him it is all fake now.
“Oh, that’s a good point.” Jeremy sighed. “Dang, I’m going to have to reevaluate, don’t break up until I’ve figured it all out.”
“Glad you have so much faith and care so deeply.” Rosita scoffed.
“I have faith, I just, I.” Jeremy gave up, “I’m going to work on my homework now.”
“Good idea.” Rosita said.
Waverly caught Rosita’s eye and they barely managed to keep from cracking up as Jeremy hunched over his textbook, a faint sheen of sweat visible on his brow.
Finals were in three weeks, so they turned back to their own work into silence. Rosita wished she could understand her professor’s logic in assigning a ridiculous amount of work right now. It wasn’t the first time that she was glad that she had elected to get a job at Shorty’s instead of being a TA. One of her lab partners was swimming in not only her own work, but all the work that she had to grade. Bartending might mean late hours dealing with annoying customers, but at least the annoying customers didn’t give her homework she had to review after she was off the clock.
Waverly’s phone beeped, interrupting the silence and almost making Jeremy knock his binder off again, and Waverly scowled. She was hardly one to forget to silence her phone. “Oh it’s Wynonna. Aww, she wants to have dinner with me.”
“You shouldn’t go.” Rosita blurted out before she could stop herself.
“What?” Waverly said, “Why not?”
Rosita had never hated anyone as much as she did Wynonna at that moment. How to explain to your friend that their bad day is going to get a lot worse because the love of their life is fake dating your sister but you’ve been sworn to secrecy and can’t say that? “Don’t you have a lot of studying to do? I know you’ll be doing a make-up essay for Professor Vaughn.”
“He doesn’t deserve any extra work.” Waverly bit out. “The old bastard. No, a nice dinner with Wynonna is exactly what I need. I guess I’ll go check these out if I want to get back on the right bus.”
“I could-” Rosita didn’t get a chance to finish the sentence before Waverly had whirled out of the library. Not that she’d take Rosita up on the ride, Rosita still had another class and Waverly would miss dinner if she waited. Which would probably be a good thing.
“Okay,” Jeremy said, “I thought you said Waverly was in love with her hot roommate.”
“She is. And her roommate’s name is Haught.”
“Okay, first of all, there’s barely a difference! And that’s besides the point! You’re dating Waverly?”
“Yes.” Rosita sighed.
“What the hell are you doing to yourself?” Jeremy reached out as if to give her a light shove, but one look from Rosita had him awkwardly put his hand down.
Rosita laid her head on the table. There was no way that Jeremy would believe her, even if it would be more fun to make him sweat and defend her honor. Not when she had detailed exactly how much of a disaster Waverly was when Nicole came into Shorty’s. “We aren’t actually dating.”
“What!?” Jeremy yelled so loud that Rosita had to clamp her hand over his mouth. They waited, frozen, for several long seconds until they were sure no one was coming to yell at them.
Rosita looked at him, “You better not say anything to Waverly, okay? I know where you live.” He nodded. “We were talking about Nicole at work and she was being stupid, and I told her that Nicole gets jealous. The next thing I knew she was demanding I prove it.” Rosita sighed.
“Prove it?”
Rosita buried her face in her book. God it was worse saying it aloud without a threat to her face. “By fake dating.”
Jeremy just blinked at her. “That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Why would that ever work?”
“I don’t actually have much faith that it will. Especially now that Wynonna’s screwed it up even more.”
“Wynonna?”
“Waverly’s sister. Nicole and her got drunk last night and agreed to fake date too.”
“What? So, they know you’re fake dating?”
“Wynonna does because, well she had some similar thoughts as you did. Though a little more violent.” Rosita gestured to her eye that had faded enough so her makeup skills could mostly cover it up. Her professors hadn’t noticed, even if they probably thought it weird she suddenly sat in the back.
Jeremy frowned, “But why would she fake date Nicole?”
“She almost spilled the beans to Nicole,” Rosita sighed, “The only hope is that I got Waverly to agree to do this for a month so she can’t back out once she finds out.”
“She doesn’t know?”
“Not yet.” Rosita sighed. “Her day is about to go from bad to worse.”
“Why didn’t Waverly just tell me?”
Rosita just stared at him. “I didn’t want to tell you and I’m not the one with the undying crush.”
“Okay, fair.” He sat back, “Wow.”
“Yeah.”
Jeremy said. “This is-”
“Absurd.” Rosita guessed.
“Yes. But it’s also-”
“Batshit insane.”
He paused, “You said it. I’m not going to argue. But you need to tell me everything. This is the most exciting thing since that business student accidentally paid for my coffee.” Jeremy sighed.
“Oh please, you know that I’m going to have to vent to someone. And Wynonna is clearly not an option.” Who knows what else she might do? Or say?
Wynonna (10:55pm): so your about to get a shitstorm
Wynonna (10:55pm): just so you know
Rosita (10:55pm): you couldn’t even use the right you’re
Wynonna (10:55pm): no
Rosita (10:55pm): i’m not even home yet, you have to hold her off until then
Wynonna (10:56pm): as you wish mlady
Rosita (10:56pm): you're such a dork
Wynonna (10:56pm): take that back
Rosita (10:56pm): no
She dropped her bag to the ground, not caring that her neighbor might complain about the noise and barely made it to the couch as she collapsed onto her stomach. It would be too much work to get to her bed. Was this really worth it? Studying for what? Working in some pharmaceutical company that would charge ridiculous prices for life saving medicine because they could? Because where else would she be able to find work that would actually pay her enough money to not drown in debt?
Rosita dug her phone out of her pocket and stared wearily at the time. She should go to bed, because she was opening Shorty’s tomorrow and couldn’t sleep till noon. Waverly’s name popped up and Rosita opened the facetime call immediately.
“What’s up?” Rosita’s words died in her mouth as she took in Waverly’s face. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were red and puffy with mascara smeared down her cheeks.
“They’re dating!” Waverly got out and then let out a little sob. Rosita sighed. Well, now Waverly’s day couldn’t get any worse.
“Who?” Rosita asked, simply for the sake that she didn’t want to receive Waverly’s wrath.
Waverly just sobbed out garbled names. It was utterly incomprehensible even though Rosita knew the answer.
“I didn’t get that.” Rosita said, doing her best to look confused.
Waverly took a hiccupping breath, “Wynonna and Nicole.”
Hearing Waverly say it made it sound even stupider. She couldn’t help herself, Rosita laughed. A loud guffaw that was definitely going to get her neighbor to call the landlord. Waverly was shocked out of her sadness, staring at Rosita like she had lost her mind.
“That can’t be true.” Rosita said between laughs.
“It is!” Waverly said.  “Wynonna just told me! That’s why we had dinner!” She let out another sob. “Nicole doesn’t like me, ok? Why would she go out with my sister?”
Rosita finally figured out how to stop laughing and cursed Wynonna for the umpteenth time. “Hey, hey, maybe it’s just because you're off the market? Nicole likes you so now she gets the next best thing?”
“That’s horrible! Nicole would never do that to Wynonna.” Which, fair. Even when she said it she hated it. “Rosita, there’s no point, let’s break it off.”
“I didn’t even know Wynonna liked girls.” Rosita tried. Not that she really believed that. Wynonna had complimented her chest a little too many times for it to be just platonic admiration.
Waverly stared at her. “Are you serious?”
“Well, I suspected, but,” Rosita shrugged.
“ Rosita, stop distracting me.  I’m done. We’re done. Okay? We tried and it clearly didn’t work!”
“Waverly.” Rosita threatened.
“Come on, you can’t possibly think-”
“You promised me a month.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“I’ll let you pick the next month's shifts too.”
Rosita fisted her hands so that her fingernails dug into her palms. “No.”
“Two months.”
“It cannot possibly be worth two months.”
“Three.”
“Waverly.” Rosita warned, sure that she was drawing blood.
“I will go to four.”
Rosita stomped her foot, a part of her pleading to take it. If they broke up, obviously Nicole and Wynonna would, and then the two could resolve the whole issue. After all, they’d have to talk about why they both had the shortest relationship possible.
But no, Rosita sighed, there was no way that they were going to go back to anything more than frigid roommates who probably bit their towels when they masturbated about the other. Though, they were probably both unwilling to masturbate thinking about the other because that wouldn’t be honorable or some shit. No wonder Waverly was so wound up, there was no way she was sexually satisfied. And even getting the best shifts for four months was not worth the pining that would make every shift unbearable long after the four months were up.
“I won’t do it.”
“Are you serious?”
“You better thank me at your wedding.”
“Ros-”
Rosita hung up and fell onto her couch.
Rosita (11:41pm): you owe me
Rosita (11:41pm): big
Wynonna (11:41pm): i kno
Rosita (11:42pm): i could have gotten four months
Rosita (11:42pm): FOUR
Wynonna (11:42pm): ill make it up to you
Rosita (11:42pm): coffee
Rosita (11:42pm): for a year
Wynonna (11:42pm): didnt kno we were that serious
Wynonna (11:43pm): but ya we can move in together
Rosita (11:43pm): 🙄
“You’re being ridiculous.” Waverly said as she entered Shorty’s.
“Hello to you too.” Rosita answered and glanced at Jimmy who gave a small smile. She got a good look at Waverly and did her best to ignore that Waverly’s eyes were puffy and red, her hair messy and not in her usual wavy curls.
Rosita was glad that the first time she saw Waverly was at Shorty’s. It felt mean, Waverly was her good friend, maybe even her best friend, but Waverly couldn’t exactly break down while they were working. Well she could, but Waverly hated being messy in public, especially when she was in Purgatory.
“Please, Rosita, you can pick for four months!”
“Look, I’m not going to end this,” Rosita hissed away from any of the patrons. “Because one, I’m not being broken up with after a day, and two, I’m not having both Wynonna and Nicole hunt me down for hurting your feelings or some other garbage.”
“They would never-” Waverly cut herself off. “Okay, Wynonna might, but Nicole wouldn’t.”
Rosita shrugged and congratulated herself that the excuse, which had taken way too long to think of, worked. “Just come on, we haven’t even had a fake date yet.”
“A fake date?” Waverly said.
Rosita tossed the rag she was cleaning the bar with aside and rolled her eyes, “Are you really telling me that you haven’t considered that we need to convince Nicole that we are actually dating? That you need to rub it into her face, so you can see if she actually gets jealous?”
“I don’t want to rub it in her face!” Waverly looked like she was going to cry again.
“You think she won’t with your sister?” Rosita had to cough down a laugh at the mental picture. How Wynonna convinced Waverly was beyond her. “Now I don’t know either of them extremely well, but Wynonna has never been subtle.”
“So, obviously Nicole won’t be jealous, she’s in a relationship.” Waverly said. “You understand this right? That this is all for naught? A complete waste?”
“Maybe she’s not in a relationship with the Earp she wants.” Rosita shrugged. “Now come on, those two just walked in and you better go help them.” Waverly huffed and marched over without a backwards glance.
Jimmy waved her over and as Rosita gave him another beer as he asked, “What’s wrong with her?”
“Waverly?” He nodded. Rosita sighed, “It’s well, Nicole and Wynonna are dating.”
Jimmy almost knocked over his new beer in shock and Rosita shot him a commiserating smile. He waved her away, staring at Waverly with a mix of pity and depression. Of course, Jimmy always looked a little depressed.
The shift was mostly fine, Waverly mostly just ignored Rosita and she thought that she had lucked out through the worst of it. At least until Rosita found Waverly crying in the basement when she was supposed to be fetching more vodka.
“I’m fine, really.” Waverly said as she stood and wiped her eyes.
“Waverly.”
“Really.” Waverly hefted the box of vodka and scurried up the stairs before Rosita could say anything else.
Short of dragging Waverly back down the stairs herself, there wasn’t much Rosita felt she could do on the job. And leaving the patrons without a bartender for that long seemed like a recipe for disaster.
“Hey.” Rosita grit out to Wynonna once she came back up with the box of whiskey. “You’re here.”
“Yep!” Wynonna grinned and then said loudly as she slapped Nicole’s back, “I’m here with my smoking Haught girlfriend.” Waverly had ducked behind the counter, and seemed determined to stay out of their sight.
“Wynonna,” Nicole sighed, “You don’t need to announce it to the whole bar.”
It was too late. The din of the customers had died and they were staring at Nicole and Wynonna with varying looks of disgust, confusion, and shock.
“Oi!” Wynonna yelled at them, “Stop staring, or should I remind you I’m a crazy bitch!” Her hand went to her hip as if to reach for a gun.
Everyone turned back quickly.
“You certainly have a way with people.” Rosita said.
“Ain’t that right sugar tits.” Wynonna said.
“You can’t say that.” Nicole said. “Wynonna.”
“Right, right, no flirting with other women.”
Waverly let out a squeak and Wynonna tried to peer over the bar, “Do you have rats here?”
“No!” Rosita said as Waverly darted away, keeping her head ducked under the counter, “The rubber mats squeak sometimes.”
Wynonna eyebrows quirked up. She then looked at where Waverly was standing up and back at Rosita. Rosita rolled her eyes, what did she want her to say?
“Hey Waverly.” Nicole called across the bar.
“Hi.” Waverly answered shortly, “Rosita can help you.” She turned away and missed the despair on Nicole’s face.
“So what can I get you?”
“Whiskey!”
“A beer.”
Wynonna turned around at Nicole, “No girl of mind can settle for just a beer.”
“I-We have work tomorrow.” Nicole protested.
“And we’re dating.”
Nicole opened her mouth and then sighed at Rosita, “Fine, whiskey.” She completely deflated as she stared at Waverly’s turned back.
Rosita went to make their drinks and stared at the two of them. How long would it take before Nicole realized that Wynonna was going to mess with her as much as possible?
Probably the whole month.
Rosita handed them their drinks and then moved away as quickly as possible before Wynonna could do something else. Jimmy waved her over for another glass and as she handed it to him, he nodded towards the two, now seemingly bickering over napkins?
“They’re quite the pair.”
“Yeah.” Rosita said.
“I’m certain that they love each other very much.”
“Of course.” Rosita agreed easily. They weren’t in love with each other, but Rosita knew that they loved each other, even if they’d both rather die than admit it.
“Not sure they’re a couple.”
“Jimmy!”
He shrugged, his eyes sparkling. “If this is their idea of a date.”
Rosita shook her head but walked away before he could question her more. And because people needed drinks. Obviously.
But a date, Rosita thought as she doctored up some more drinks, Jimmy was right about that. And she had promised something to Waverly.
“Waverly.” Rosita said carefully from near Wynonna and Nicole.
“Hmm?” Waverly asked. Rosita had to admire that she’d somehow covered up almost all of the evidence that she’d been crying.
“Are you still down for our date tomorrow?” Rosita asked.
Two things happened at once. Nicole sputtered and coughed on her drink behind Rosita and Waverly dropped the rag she was holding. Rosita was very happy it was only a rag. Waverly’s eyes widened and her voice squeaked, “A date?”
“Yes.” Rosita shot her a forceful look, “Since we aren’t working or studying tomorrow I thought we could do something fun tomorrow. Together.”
Waverly’s eyes narrowed fractionally, but she nodded. “Yeah, I told you I’d be down.”
It was wholly unconvincing, but Rosita would take what she could. “Excellent.” Rosita nodded. “I’ll pick you up at 7.”
Waverly nodded and turned around and Rosita chanced a look at Nicole. She was staring at her empty whiskey glass like Rosita had just shot her dog. Or cat. Rosita was pretty sure she had a cat.
Wynonna, on the other hand, was looking like the cat had caught the canary, and waved Rosita over. “Rosita, be a dear and get us two tequila shots, some salt, and some lime.”
Nicole shot up in her seat, “Wynonna, no!”
“Wynonna, yes.” Wynonna grinned. Rosita handed her the supplies and watched from what she deemed was a safe distance away. “I won’t make you crawl up on the bar.” Wynonna said, loud enough for Waverly and Rosita’s benefit, “I’m a good girlfriend like that. But c’mon, we’re here, together and loving each other, let’s do a shot.”
“We’re working tomorrow!” Rosita knew that Nicole had already lost. She’d lost since she sent that text. She looked like she wanted the floor to swallow her up, but Wynonna was placing the lime between Nicole’s teeth, licking her hand, and pouring out the salt. Nicole hesitated a moment before following Wynonna’s lead.
Rosita glanced back at Waverly who was gripping a pitcher of beer so hard, Rosita was surprised she didn’t splinter the plastic. Her eyes were narrowed on the two, and as Wynonna licked Nicole’s hand, downed the shot, and her lips brushed over Nicole’s as she got the lime, Waverly wheeled around, her expression thunderous, and marched into the bathroom.
It was a pity, Rosita thought, she missed out on Nicole awkwardly repeating the motions on Wynonna looking like she’d rather die. Wynonna shot a wink at Rosita who had to bite her lip to keep from laughing.
One thing was sure, Wynonna was going to be the death of Nicole.
And maybe Waverly.

hey!!! have u finished the school spirits finale yet and if so thoughts???
sorry, I kept this in my inbox until I could watch it but i just finished it and !!! my thoughts?? whattheFUCKisgoingon.gif and whatdoesitallmean?.jpg
but anyway I'll put them under a cut so I don't accidentally spoil it for anyone that might be watching 💕
First off, Wally is my golden retriever child. I get he's already dead but I WOULD lay down my life for him anyway
I wish I would've been able to respond to your theories before this because I agreed with so many of them, but especially mr. martin being shady, like it genuinely did seem (before this ep) that he was trying to keep them around i just didn't know to what end (and i still dont. like why do all this?? to help himself to crossover?? Sir, What Else Are You Hiding??)
but he was always shady. like, maddie JUST died and you're harping on her moving on and not focusing on how she died or who did it?? it was weird. but, i mean, I guess now we know why he was being so adamant with her in particular
also, I didn't think her mom did it either. Like, I knew she just had guilt because she thought she indirectly caused her disappearance by being a bad mom and her alcoholism and basically pushing her away, but she was just too desperate to find her, and it never felt like an act to me. (I cannot imagine being her tho, like she shouldn't just be absolved of her wrongdoings, but i cannot imagine leaving your daughter in that boiler room and then thinking she was most likely murdered right after. I could not live with myself)
would really love to know what janet's endgame is here. does she think she's just gonna get a second chance at life by living out maddie's?? and idk a lot about possession but like. how was maddie just. pushed out?? if that's even what happened?? so many questions
also, I kinda wondered for a minute if maddie was still alive and that's why simon was able to see her and not the other ghosts but. I also loved the idea of them being so close that he's just. able to see her. but i still like. I'm so confused at how this all works, I hope we get a second season cause I NEED answers
i still think nicole has romantic feelings for maddie. like, i get they made it kinda obvious with her having so many pictures of maddie in her portfolio (I mean, I guess you could make the argument that they were just playing up trying to make her look guilty, but i just got that VIbe~ in the flashback when they're discussing college and maddie's trying to convince nicole that she can do it, and nicole says something like "no one's ever cared this much before." or smth) (and idk why i'm saying this cause it's not really relevant but)
also, simon!! I love simon!! he deserves the world!!!
anyway, I'm sure I have more thoughts than this but I have a headache so i can't articulate them but!! I'd love to hear yours!!!

AHHHHH CAST LIST OUT!
Alright bitches it is time for me to judge these Houseguests based on appearances and jobs only. I will be following this with my thoughts on their video interviews, but I really wanted to see how I’d do with the first impressions bc usually I am super wrong lol. Here we go....
Tumblr media
I don’t know how I feel about her yet, but the fact that her name is Alyssa and she’s from Florida is kind of a red flag. I hope she surprises me but for now I’m giving her a 3/10.
Tumblr media
This girl seems so sweet! Also she’s from my home county in MD and lives 30 min away from my hometown so I might be a little biased. I may have to stan her idk yet. 9/10
Tumblr media
She’s giving me hardcore Kaitlyn bb20 vibes with that hypnotherpy shit. She might be cool but I’m straying away from her for now bc she may end up being the cracked one out of the group. Maybe I wanna stan the cracked one tho......5/10
Tumblr media
He’s either gonna be really chill or really annoying. He better be gay. 6/10
Tumblr media
She’s Brazilian which is cool but I don’t like her. Hopefully she shocks me and girlbosses her way to the end but I see only Whitney vibes idk why. 2/10
Tumblr media
She gives me highkey girlboss vibes but are they the girlboss over the men or girlboss ahead of all the other women vibes? Please please PLEASE don’t let me down. 7/10
Tumblr media
NO MORE ITALIANS PLEASE  0/10
Tumblr media
The fact that he’s unemployed gives me red flags but he doesn’t seem that bad? I’m hoping he drinks his respect women juice or hands will be thrown. 5/10
Tumblr media
He’s from Nigeria which is cool, also he has a very cute smile I will admit. Seems very friendly and like he would protect the underdogs but idk looks can be deceiving. 8/10
Tumblr media
No way this man straight, but I hope he’s not white gay TM. Seems like he has strong gen z vibes which I might align with a bit, but I’m not sure yet.....7/10
Tumblr media
He’s an attorney hm. But he’s wearing a cat shirt. I’m actually confused by this man 5/10 kjsdofiusdfsdg next
Tumblr media
I feel like this finna be the man everyone thirsts over but I can also see him disappointing us in the second half of the season. Definitely going to win every physical comp. Idk I’m just wary of the big buff men askjdoad 4/10
Tumblr media
I only get good vibes from her I can’t explain it. Although I know she was a cop before she became a chef, I want to like her. Don’t prove ACAB to us Nicole 8/10
Tumblr media
I feel like she’s going to align with white people only I can’t explain it she just seems so.....annoying. Alyssa and Anal lice 3.0 I’m calling it 1/10
Tumblr media
Everyone is already stanning her and honestly fair bc she’s gorgeous but I’m always nervous about pageant girls asdkljasdisd anyways 9/10
Tumblr media
So obviously he’s the token “older” person of the group. He seems cool in the photo but I need him to actually do well and not be an asshole like some older men that have appeared on here. Also why is it always older men and not women? Hmmmm 6/10

nicole is pro life 🥴 I honestly can’t believe they were together at some point because they truly seem so different, she just gives me the dumb dumb vibe. No need to add any insight on this. Just wanted to share, she was really hot tho and one of the reasons I am gay to this day.

How did china, a country that banned BLs and effeminate men create the most homoerotic reality TV show I've seen to date?
Tumblr media
1. Ban survival shows
2. Expolit a loop hole and cast a bunch of hot MILFs instead
3. Profit
Meet the cast of Sisters Who Make Waves season 5:
Tumblr media
Qi Wei - singer/actress (girl on the left in above gif)
Publicly stated she is bisexual, rumored to have dated fellow actress Phoebe Lin. Happily married to a man and has a 9 year old daughter with him. This only seems to mean no matter how gay she acts on this show she can still claim it's all for show
Tumblr media
He Jie - singer
During an interview within the extras of this show was asked "if you were a man which of the contestants would you like most". Answered "why would I have to be a man to answer this question, I've always liked women" and "when I was little I only liked female celebrities". Had also married a man but since divorced him.
Tumblr media
Liu xin - singer
She's 39 and to my knowledge unmarried. I'd like to believe I have a shot.
Tumblr media
Chen lijun - Yue opera singer
Day job involves her playing male roles and romancing women. Large female audience. However... married to a man
This show has been unfathomably successful in the past few years with many a kpop idol competing (Fei and Jia former Miss A - s1, Jessica Jung former Girl's generation - s3, Amber Liu former f(x) - s4, and Nicole Jung former KARA - s5).
Anyways I think it counts as representation even if they're not totally out and also married with kids. Hilarious how the show runners can write all of it off as a really strong sisterhood tho lmao.
