okay so after Tales of the Jedi we're getting Tales of the Empire and on a complete non-squitur, in TBB episode 3x10 Hemlock says the other operatives aren't ready yet, which means there're more clone assassins in the making my bet is still on clone x (or the current assassin clone or whatever you call him) being Tech, because him being Cody just wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't be as emotionally devastating for Omega and the Bad Batch as the clone being Tech would be and I saw a theory that maybe Cody is one of the other operatives whose brainwashing just isn't done yet instead so hear me out, hear me out after Tales of the Empire, we could get Tales of the Clones, right? and in Tales of the Clones we could get the story of what happened to Cody, that maybe Cody tried to escape the Empire in TBB 2x03, but he was caught and sent to Hemlock's sick assassin clone program, but the badass he is he's resisting the brainwashing and he maybe escapes??? MAYBE WE COULD GET THAT STORY OR SOMETHING??? WHERE HE ENDS UP ON TATOOINE LIKE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO IN THE OG KENOBI SHOW SCRIPT???? I'D BE SO UP FOR IT OKAY???

idk what it is about the way dungeon meshi portrays relationships but it feels so unique to me

i like all of the ships and also want none of them to be canon. it's fun to imagine literally all of them, but it's just as fun to examine the platonic relationships and what they mean

it's so refreshing to see marcille & laios' friendship but i totally get why people ship them. marcille & falin's devotion to each other is amazing to explore in any context. chilchuck & laios, laios & kabru, senshi & chilchuck, even toshiro & falin. literally every character dynamic no matter the romance/lack of it is so interesting to me

it really felt like a breath of fresh air getting into something where the relationships between characters felt both real and substantial the way they are, but also capable of being expanded upon and played with without feeling like they're betraying the main themes/ideas. man i love dungeon meshi

The Billy Hargrove defenders now seem to have not even seen the show?? Confused. Am I going insane please help.

Let’s break this down. Person nicely (okay it wasn't nice) asks how is Billy racist and I kindly take time out of my day to say “he pointed directly at the only black kid and said that’s the wrong kind of people to hang out with, and then only tried to kill Lucas.”

Person responds by telling me:

1. How could Billy have known that Lucas wasn’t a good person when he didn’t know Lucas? (Yes?? Exactly, you’re at the point just keeeeep going. So you're saying he.... stereotyped him based on the only factor that separated him from all the other kids which was.... hit us with it.)

2. Lucas hung out with Jason, only cared about his reputation, and disregarded his friend so what did you expect? (So many things wrong with this but the major one is BILLY WAS DEAD BY THEN YOU PSYCHO?? How could this have affected his decision making?? He said all that and tried to kill Lucas way before these unrelated events? Then he died and then these events occurred? Also fam, you just said he didn't know Lucas, my brain is dribbling out my ears.)

3. Billy wasn’t in control that season so you can’t blame him. (Was this person perhaps on drugs while watching this show? Billy was possessed a whole season after this incident?? Again, entirely after the racist actions I gave as an example??)

Then the final big argument, a true fav, it is shocking how many times I've heard this in my dms:

4. Would you have said this was racism if Lucas was white? (No??? What the fuck?? Are you okay?? What the fuck kinda argument is this? Then it would just be attempted murder and bullying?? But what does it matter because? Lucas isn't white and it was racism dude.)
