Sandman on twitter has posted the actual information where Oda says that the rookies were created on a whim at Sabaody, with Kid having a more established concept in Oda's mind than Law, and his surprise at the role that developed for Law. I've been wondering about the source for this info for a long time.

Sandman's translation of Oda's words reads:

Oda (2017): I created all Sabaody rookies at once in their first appearance chapter to spice up. Nobody was in my plot notes. I thought half of them would drop out soon in New World, but they didn't. I thought Kid would be important, but I didn't expect Law to be so important.

The result of my first official commission! The client asked for a Trafalgar Law card with a blank space, so they could use it for a phone screen and write reminders on it! What a freakin' great idea!

A few sketches later and they decided on which they want, a very smooth process. :)

One Piece - Ranked

So, I've seen a chunk of the arcs for One Piece but there's still a lot I haven't seen and I haven't seen really any of it in chronological order. However, I've decided to actually try and watch all of it chronologically.

As I go I'm ranking the story arcs, character, etc. in order from my favorite to least favorite and thought I'd share my thoughts.

I plan on updating after I finish each saga. I'll probably do that through just reblogging this first post so I can see how my opinions change.
