Hello!!! I found your serie today and I'm in love with it. I've read all the main serie and I'm so exited to start reading the extras now.
I love how the conditioning works honestly. Does it currently influence Flitz at all? I'm so intrigued with the parallels betwen his and Oliver's story.
Absolutely adoring the world-building aswell. What did happen to Oliver's bookstore?
Also I Love the mixed portrayals of both Alexander and Lily. Genuinely so so intriguing.
Is it commun for thralls to be turned into vampires?
Of course, you don't have to answer any of the questions we've sent, I'm just so curious about this world honestly.
Hope you have a nice day :D
Thank you for such a nice comment!
The conditioning does currently influence Fitz despite not being a thrall any more. The fact that Alexander was the one who sired him and therefore still holds power over him certainly doesn't help in that regard. Alexander freed him of some of his thrall conditioning, but it still lingers in his mind.
What happened to Oliver's bookstore is going to be addressed in the next few Oliver chapters!
It's somewhat common for thralls to be turned into vampires. Most vampires don't want to sire many vampires. The primary reasons for vampires to sire other vampires is to have an immortal servant, and for that reason, it's often done to a particularly good thrall to preserve them. But the risks for siring vampires are many: it's another mouth to feed, and if the sired proves stronger, they might kill their master for freedom.
A vampire consensually siring a thrall is rare.

god, there's a whole essay to be written about the way service work is depicted in the yakuza series, and the ways that kiryu finds parallels betwen his own life and the various hostesses he talks to
yakuza 5 in particular has just a ton of those moments, from kiryu driving a cab to shinada taking a shift at the minimart, or a very late game conversation kiryu has with the hostess hinata where they talk about how neither of them own many clothes.
"i dress badly when i'm at home," he says to her, "and i have one nice suit i always wear."
"this job requires a dress," she says, "and i can manage that, but i could never meet any of my clients in my street clothes."
"my job requires a uniform, too," and it's not clear whether that's the by yakuza 5 very badly dated grey suit he always wears, or his taxi driver uniform.
then she talks about how she only buys one size fits all dresses and loose fitting clothing in case she gains weight and it's mundane in a way this series is so good at if you push out into the margins

If AFO = Izuku's father is true
It’s true we don’t know anything about Izuku’s father except that he is able to throw flames like a dragon. At the beginning I thought he might be dead or maybe abandoned his son for being quirkless (I don’t know if it’s still common in Japan when your child is disable, but I read a manga (A Silent Voice) with that plotline just before starting MHA).
Then I read a lot of the theory of AFO being Izuku's father and when I don't see narratively what the "I'm your father" moment could give, I see the symbolism and parallelism of it: with Tomura being the grandchild of a previous owner of OFA but being raised by AFO on the villain side.
And then I understood.
Izuku being his son could further add onto the theme of only your actions and choices make you a villain even with a tragic/sad backstory or trauma (Dabi VS Shotou), but a mistake isn't sufficient to mark you as one forever if you correct this mistake and do better in the future (Bakugou and Aoyama).
But could you guess Izuku's reaction if/when he learn this?
We all know he would take it badly. His self esteem would probably sink even lower.
But what if he remembers Katchan's words in the first chapter? The ones that were OOC even for Katchan's aggressivity? He would probably tell Katchan he was right, that he should jump from a roof, that he should have that day, that if he did, nothing of that would have happened. He wouldn’t have meet All Might and almost create Katchan’s death. Or maybe he won't tell him, but just do it straight away. With Bakugou stopping/saving him, telling him he was wrong that day, that he lied, that he was just afraid Deku will be better than him even without a quirk.
But another idea popped in my mind. If this theory is true, what if Izuku wasn't born quirkless, but his quirk was stolen in a really young age by AFO? Considering Inko's quirk, Izuku's could have been attractivity/gravity just like Fujitora in One Piece. (That could explain why everybody falls in love for him: because he attracts them! xD) So if Izuku lose OFA at the end of the manga, maybe he will ask AFO to give him back his born quirk. Or more probably his friends will ask so Deku could still be a hero with them if he loose OFA at the end.
I know that Deku was diagnosed quirkless because of a bone in his toe. But I always found the explanation stupid, especially in MHA world where everything is detailed and logical. And while watching the series again, I found out that the doctor who diagnosed Izuku being quirkless was the same doctor that works for AFO.
I read/watched another theory that said Inko was asked the same deal than Aoyama’s parents but refused and that was the real reason she said sorry to her son: because she just refused a way to still make his dream come true and was moved by her son’s tears.
So imagine if this doctor makes children with interesting quirk quirkless to then give them to AFO and call back the parents with an experimental procedure to still give their child a quirk so they won’t be discriminated by other children/society later. That would be a double win for AFO: he gains powerful quirks plus fragile families he could manipulate and blackmail.
If this theory is true, wouldn't it be ironic? That by taking Izuku's quirk, AFO made him into a hero that will defeat him with OFA? Because if Izuku had kept his original quirk, the events in chapter 1 wouldn't have happened (or differently) and All Might wouldn't have chose him for heriting his quirk. Maybe AFO chose Inko to have a child with only based on her quirk to make it evolved just like it happened betwen Mitsuki and Katsuki (where the quirk evolved from glycerin to nitroglycerin) because Inko's quirk was to weak to be useful yet.
Learning this, Bakugou would be so pissed at AFO because, because of him, he didn't feel like he had the right to be Izuku's friend because they were the opposite by having an awesome quirk and being quirkless. But if Izuku had his original awesome quirk, things would have been different between them. Maybe Bakugou would have grown into a different person with Izuku being able to stop him and make him more reasonable, to put it simply with Izuku being "worthy" in their society, so Katchan's equal since the beginning in terms of power. So Katsuki wouldn't feel like all those years were wasted and missed opportunities, he wouldn't feel like he has to fight to be able/worthy to be Izuku's friend again.
But I also have another theory: what if Izuku does have a quirk since birth? We AFO being his father, maybe he didn't inherit the toe mutation because it didn't happen yet when AFO was born (century/ies ago). But it's a passive quirk just like AFO's brother, a quirk that need another one to bloom: the quirk of using other quirks. That would explain why Izuku was able to unlock the previous owner's quirks when All Might couldn't. After all, they were the only quirkless owners of the OFA except the first one. The clue that made me think about this theory is Katchan's words: "You're just like him", talking to Izuku about AFO. A foreshadowing that he's his son?
PS: just to be sure in cas it isn’t obvious enough: Izuku’s true father is Dad Might, not AFO :)

right it's like. there's very obvious and intentional parallels betwen the midnight crew and jack+. but like,,,??? why??? i can see the relation between spades and jack. like, spades killed snowman, leading to the death of a universe. similarly, jack (bec noir) killed the black queen, (indirectly) leading to the death of a universe. but like, what are the parallels between dracon and diamonds implying? it's very much intentional but all i can think of is that whatever dracon is trying to accomplish, he will die before he sees it through due to the influence of some outside party.
so either the batterwitch or bec noir will end up destroying derse before dracon can actually accomplish something, but whatever he's trying to do will definitely by done by someone else (since diamonds was trying to kill lord english and failed, but someone else will kill english instead). idek what his goal is. he wants to kill the scratch kids but someone else will kill them instead? eh - hs anon is not making sense
I've tried reading this over 3 times and I'm still not comprehending it so yeah 👍

The Dragon - Megumi and Geto
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Geto and Megumi are both the black wolves, the yang in their relationship with Gojo and Yuji respectively. However they are also parallels to one another. Both of them represent the black yang, both are deeply emotional people, and both are also partners and secondary to the strongest sorcerer of their generation. Geto who was the part of the strongest duo along with Gojo, and also Megumi who was the one who saved, and continues to protect Itadori even after he swallowed Sukuna’s finger. They also tend to be associated with serpents (Megumi - Oboro the snake, Geto summons a dragon). More under the cut.
1. It’s Always the Quiet Ones
Gojo and Yuji are introduced as a teacher and student duo from the start of the manga so their connection between each other is already apparent. Geto and Megumi have never met each other, however, there are already several parallels between them.
Megumi and Geto are characters who are more concerned with “the right thing to do” rather than saving everyone in front of them. Yuji and Geto are very self involved individuals. They’re more focused on themselves. Yuji and Gojo both have this central goal of becoming the strongest, and for different reasons. Gojo because he’s such a staunch individualist whose goal is to be the best version of himself he can be, and Yuji because he needs that strength in order to save people.
Tumblr media
Gojo and Yuji are people who think about themselves first and foremost. Megumi and Geto are people very concerned with everyone around them. It’s Megumi and Geto who consider the consequences of their actions and how it will affect others. (Teenage Gojo) and Yuji tend to be quite irresponsible with their power. They want to be strong, but they don’t really think about how they want to use that power to impact the world around them. Because they as people are not overly concerned with the world. Yuji only thinks about saving people immediately in front of him, and Gojo mostly thniks about himself.
Tumblr media
It’s that old adage about power and repsonsibility. With great power comes great responsibility. However, the duos Megumi / Yuji and Geto / Gojo are both two halves of the same person. Gojo and Yuji are both the powerhouses of that duo, however it’s Geto and Megumi who are concerned with how to use that power responsibility for others.
There are several parallels betwen Megumi and Geto. Starting with their Curse Techniques. Megumi and Geto both use summoned entities in order to fight for them while Gojo and Yuji are powerhouses who fight their enemies head on. Megumi and Geto summon powerful creatures to do most of the fighting for them.
They both seem to be second strongest after their respective partners. Geto is second strongest after Gojo, and Megumi is second strongest after Yuji. However, at the same time it’s implied that both of them intentionally hold themselves back. That their cursed techniques could be used for much more than they are currently capable of.
Tumblr media
A ten shadows loser is capable of overpowering the limitless user with a six eyes. However, it’s implied by Gojo constantly that Megumi is someone who constantly holds himself back, because unlike Gojo his number one priority is not being the strongest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Geto at the same time is someone who is made out to be not as strong as Satoru Gojo, but at the same time, it seems someone like Getwo is way better at using his body to his full potential than he is. At the same time Getwo also comments that Geto would have won, if he had not ordered his forces to pull back. Geto lost because he’s more concerned with other people, Geto and Megumi are both people who hold themselves back because they prioritize people over themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As awful as Geto is. As wrongheaded. As much of a murderer he is. He’s not a selfish person who can sacrifice his family for the sake of his goal. If only he were a little more selfish, if only he loved people a little less, he probably would not have been broken by the world in the same way he did. One more important parallel between the two of them is unlike Gojo and Yuji, Megumi and Geto seem to be really aware of the harshness and unfairness of the world around them and really affected by it.
Of course, Gojo is aware the Jujutsu world is corrupt too, and he’s affected by it in his own way, but he’s never pushed to a breaking point like Geto was. Gojo simply isn’t as invested in other people as Geto is, it doesn’t make Geto or Gojo better as a person it just makes them different and their priorities different.
Geto and Megumi’s reflections of the world mirror one another. Their reflections of the world always revolve around the sentiment that the world is fundamentally unfair, no matter how just the two of them try to be. Remember, the key word for both of them is righteousness. They are responsible people who try and obsess over doing the right thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Megumi refers to Jujutsu sorcerers as merely a cog in the system getting grinded down. Which is exactly what we witness happens to Geto. It’s because the fact that Jujutsu Sorcerers are treated as nothing more than disposable cogs in this great wide system, and they’re treated this way even as children that causes Geto to break to the extent that he does, becoming a broken cog.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Merely doing their duty as a Jujutsu Sorcerer isn’t enough for either of them. Geto begins with believing that what he’s doing he’s doing out of a sense of duty. He begins believing that he’s doing the right thing. They both come to a question of who they are supposed to save as Jujutsu Sorcerers. However, Megumi and Geto both witness a complete innocent suffering. A person that they describe as a good person, a person that they tried to protect, only to fail to protect them and watch that person. For Geto it was Riko, for Megumi it was Tsumiki.
Tumblr media
Geto witnessed Rika die just after he promised to protect her as the strongest. Megumi only accepted Gojo’s offer to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer in the future because he thought it would help give him money to take care of Tsumiki. They both try to protect someone, and fail, and it makes their efforts seem pointless. After that point they question what their role in things even is. It left them questioning everything.
Tumblr media
The final parallel between Geto and Megumi is that they’re both reasonable and rational on the surface. They’re both people always seeking a reason in things. It’s Geto of all people who is the person to tell Gojo that they can’t just do whatever they want because they’re powerful, they need responsibility, reason to chain their actions to. Geto becomes Gojo’s tether. Megumi is Yuji’s tether. In a way, both Gojo and Yuji were saved by their respective partners. Geto stopped Gojo from killing so many people, and Megumi saved Yuji at the beginning of the manga allowing him to become a cursed sorcerer rather than being executed right away at the start of the manga. However, at the same time both Megumi and Yuji have these deep and dark emotions unaddresssed that they can’t hold back with reasons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Geto and Megumi carry lots of dark emotions and hurt feelings inside of them, and rather than trying to deal with them they tend to repress them in order to keep appearing as the rational and responsible for one. However, on the flip side of things, it means that they both have a tendency to flip. The thing about repressing these very angry, and hurt emotions is that repressing them does not make them go away. It merely causes them to pile up until the weight becomes unbearable and they break.
Geto and Megumi handle their emotions in the same way, and all of their hurt feelings tend to come from the same place. It’s not that Megumi and Geto hate people. In fact they love people. Megumi and Geto expect people to be much better than theyare. They expect the world to be a good place. ANd, when the world turns out to be not what they expected to be they’re not just disappointed they’re mad.
Tumblr media
Megumi believes in good, compassionate people. He feels the world should be kinder to good people, he believes those people should be allowed a little happiness. He wants to protect people like Yuji and his sister because he sees a goodness in them he can’t see in himself. Megumi, always sees the best in the people he meets, that’s why he’s disappointed when he’s faced with the worst of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The same way that Megumi belives in good people, Geto believes in his connections to his comrades and to other people. Geto goes about it the wrong way entirely, but what he wants from the bottom of his heart is just a world where jujutsu sorcerers don’t have to be killed as teenagers. He, just like Yuji, wants the world to be a better place then it is currently. It’s just Geto has taken radical action to make that chane, whereas Megumi is fighting small battles one fight at a time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They’re both characters whose hearts are in the right places. They both have good intentions. However, the unchecked emotions of both characters makes Geto a bomb, and Megumi a land mine waiting to explode. As good as they are, they’re full of dangerous bad feelings. They’re both living embodiments of the phrase the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
Geto represents the dangerous person that Megumi could become, while at the same time his partnership with Gojo shows what Megumi can make of himself if he opens himself to others. Geto decided to leave and try to fix the world on his own. Geto decided to try to hold all that weight on his shoulders until he broke, and then he broke away from Gojo. Geto and Gojo were clearly set up as a duo. They were meant to find balance with one another. However, they just couldn’t be together. They were both too busy trying to save the world alone, they didn’t know how to be together, and didn’t know how to be kids.
Megumi and Yuji are another strongest duo. Another second to chance to find the balance between each other that Gojo and Geto couldn’t find. Megumi is seriously off balance, and doesn’t know how to balance saving people with his sense of righteousness but that’s what Yuji is for. The two of them have the potential to break part like Gojo and Geto did, but they also have the potential to find true balance in one another.

Best Willow & Buffy romantic and platonic moments season by season : Season 1 Love at first sight
The title says it all, so i’ll make this introduction kind of « short » : Buffy and Willow are two (with Oz they are the holy trio for me) of my favourite characters on the show. They have the most compelling personalities, strongest writing and were played by the best actors on the show. So it wasn’t that hard to start imagine them as a couple, and thankfully the show was very helpful in feeding my fantasy.
That’s the short version, the longer version: I’ve stayed fallen with Buffy from the start to the end of the show, but for Willow it’s more complicated. The transformations that she went through during season 4 were huge: the magik and the big rise of her power, the break up with Oz and her long grief of their love story, her relationship with Tara which developed in parallel of the strain on her friendship with the Scoobies and was at first synonym of secrecy and withdrawal, all that changed her in someone else who i had in some parts a hard time to care about as much as i used to in season 1 to 3.
What kept me involved in her arc after season 4, it’s the fact that Buffy stayed the constant in her life, even during the hardest times, and that the romantic subtext of their relationship blossomed to reach a peak in season 6, before slowly finding a more quiet place in season 7
However, i don’t believe that the writers had the conscious intention to make them a romantic ship, at least initially. They were just taking advantage of the fantastic chemistry betwen SMG and AH in season 1 to 3.  Though they were hinting at it in a not subtle way, it was mostly done for the fun of playing with the idea of two hot and powerful girls attracted/being in love.
Then at one point (season 4)  they allowed their insconscious thoughts to become conscious, to invade their writing and to start to tell an another story. When Oz left Sunnydale, Willow’s feelings took a new turn. A turn with a such strong « more than sisters » vibe  coming from both of them, that it got me first confused, but yet i was unable to ignore the feelings they gave me. Eventually i stopped wondering if it was right or wrong to interpret their bond as a romance and just went with the flow. Now i ship them hard (my second ship after Willow and Oz) and i needed to share this passion by promoting them. So here’s my personal list of their best moments episode by episode starting by the double episode of the pilot:
Welcome to the Hellmouth (Episode 1)
Their first meeting in the Sunnydale high school’s halls is iconic for me : it was love (platonic at this point) at first sight. Iconic because of the way Buffy was on her way to become again the perfect popular cheerleader, at the top of the social school ladder: she’s just befriended Cordelia and won her over with her impeccable taste (looks and opinions) and suddenly Willow is here and it feels like Buffy hit a wall (a parallel with Xander who fell from his skateboard when he first saw Buffy).
In front of Willow who looked so innocent, pure, sweet, so authentic because she’s incapable to pretend, all the fakeness of the social promises of integration offered by Cordelia just got revealed. Look at how long they stare at each other before Willow turned away, they are drawn to each other: Buffy driven by the desire to reassure, protect and comfort Willow, and Willow leaving in fear but taking few seconds to decipher Buffy’s expression and see with a lot of anxiety if there’s a possibility for something else than bullying, something that she craved badly.
How much do i love that Buffy is the one who makes the effort to come after Willow and to ask for her help ? Very much. Like really. It’s so satisfying that Buffy was the one to pursue her (just like it will be a blast later in season 2 when Oz will try desperately to reach her and will fall in love the first, but notice how it was immediately easier for Buffy to become close)! Compare this scene to Buffy’s meeting with Xander  that had obviously a romantic set up (the fated meeting, the bag falling and bringing them closer physically leading to a little intimate moment in a crowded place, his revealing slips of tongue) but clearly she was distracted and not into it.
While with Willow, her mind is clear, among all the best students that she could have asked to tutor her without affecting her popularity (and to keep Cordelia a good friend), she still picked Willow without knowing much about her.
I really loved the little details here:
Look at baby Willow babbling endlessly in the most cute way like a bird chanting, about the things she loves and wants to share with Buffy, now that heir mutual interest/crush has been established: the books, the library, the new librarian etc…
It’s so adorable how Willow tried to defend Buffy from Cordelia’s possible bullying by pretending that Buffy wasn’t hanging with Xander and her. Her crush and loyalty to Buffy was immediate and strong.
Something must be said about AH’s acting here, about the way she perfectly conveys Willow’s social anxiety - from the little jump she did when Buffy approached her, to her large eyes when she realized that Buffy wanted to be friends, to the her fast speech and high pitch when she became excited at the revelation that she indeed made a new girl friend. It’s top acting and she stayed incredibly consistent with Willow’s manierism all along the season and largely beyond.
Their second biggest moment is of course at The Bronze and everything about this conversation makes me shocked in the best possible way. That the writer dared to put them so early on “date”, well an unconventional date since they didn’t know that the other was coming or that they were looking like people who are dating, but still they were at a nightclub, two girls talking how life is short and how they should enjoy more the fun things, sharing their experience about dating, and techniques about flirting while playing innocently (all those hands and mouth moves) with the fruits/candy in their drinks (Buffy was doing it, Willow was just listening and watching her like she was a goddess descending from the sky (so pretty, so cool and comfortable with everything). No wonder she jumped on the first opportunity to follow her advices and look as confident as her, by following a stranger. Something that couldn’t be more unlike her.
Then Willow did the cutest and the saddest thing as the same time: as someone without the confidence to believe that Buffy sincerely enjoyed her company, she offered her to not come back. I love how it immediately intensified Buffy’s desire to come back and stay with her, to protect her. She was still battling Giles effort to get her back on her slayer mission but the minute Willow was in danger, all resistance and pretense disappeared. Saving her was the priority. Willow was the reason, like she will be 12 episodes later, in Prophecy Girl when Buffy was ready to quit.
And then, listening only to her panic, Buffy looked desperately everywhere for her future best friend, almost killing Cordelia in the process (call it karma after how she mistreated Willow) before showing up at the crypt like a true super hero to save her life. If it’s not a fairy tale type of plot, i don’t know what it is.
The Harvest (Episode 2)
Buffy started the episode on a big note: by saving Willow’s life again from a very disgusting vampire and by teaming with her to save Xander. I got really a thing for the « couples » who fight together. They say that they end together.
But sadly, there wasn’t any follow up: they were separated by the plot and only reunited in group scenes and so that was all for my ship...
I would like to applaud the faith that Willow showed in Buffy when she went alone in the sewers to save Jesse, but the context: she was trying to convince Xander to not follow Buffy makes me a little bit anxious about the possibility that her feelings for Xander got the best of her and that she overestimated Buffy’s strength by jealousy. Those love triangles (with Angel, Oz and Cordelia too) were the worst: we were lucky that they didn’t kill their friendship.
To finish on a good note: how cute my girls were in orange sweatshirt and blue denim jjumper with a perfect make up for once for Willow and in ponytail, brown leather jacket and white top for Buffy ?. I say they were absolutely adorable and looked very good together and that’s enough to make my shipper heart happy.
To be continued....

P.S: English is not my first language so my grammar sucks. Please be nice
First, I am not a Alastair Carstairs stan but I am 100% sure he is the living proof James and Cordelia are Jace Herondale ancestors
Jace Herondale and Alastairs Carstairs Similarities
- Daddy Issues (Check)
- Musician skills/Loves to play piano (Check) - yes, James knows how to play piano too but Jace clearly is the one who LOVES music, bc according to Clary, he spends hours playing and sometimes writing his own pieces
- Acts like a insensible asshole and lashes out at people but actually has a angst ridden personality (Check) - yes, that fits early Will description too and I agree with people comparing them, however I feel Matthew is Will direct parallel because of the source of their self loathing (Will "curse" and Matthew " great sin").
Meanwhile, Alastair and Jace self hatred comes their family background because they share one great fear: become like their dads. They both use rudeness to keep people at bay out of fear of disappointment and heartbreak (To love is to be destroyed). Alastair watched Sona unwavering love for his father, despite all the pain he brought to his family and that scarred him in a way. He broke up with Charles mostly because he didnt want to be like Sona, waiting for a loved one to change and put his feelings before his vices/ambitions (Eliah with his drinking addiction and Charles with his addiction for power). Yeah, Thomastairs, I know Alastairs didnt truly loved Charles, you don't need to shout at me.
- Affair with a red haired Fairchild (in Jace case, it was truly love, but still)
Anyway, Cassie loves to drawn paralells in the books betwen the modern time characters and their ancestors (I dont think Matthew love for the aesthetic movement and Clary love for beautiful things are coincidence. Also, everyone keeps bringing up Alec and Will twin looks as well Jace and Will similar personality traits). So, what if Jace got his personality traits from someone else besides Will?
P.S: Not a Alastairs fan, but I am 100% Thomas fan so I am really hoping to like him in the next books.

Tangled alternate universe
Little clarifications.
I thought about this idea while in the shower
My first language is spanish, I apologize for any mistakes
The history is a lot similar to the original with some changes
This could be cringy
This is entierly my imagination and I'm not flawless
Finally, this is my first time writing an idea like this
I was thinking in some kind of alternate universe, like a parallel timeline and I came up with something incredible.
So, what if when Rapunzel traveled back in time during the episode "No time like the past" she created a whole new series of events and a new chronology. When she lectures Eugene, his personality changes and he mentally grows in another direction. He values friendship and companionship more. He reflects more on his actions, he's a little less egocentric, he's still with Stalyan but they are still a couple of thieves.
By the time Rapunzel is 18, Eugene steals the tiara with his girfriend/fiancee (during the years and a new point of view, they have grown closer and they are a more mature couple, they really know each other, and as we saw during the series, Stalyan isn't really a bad person). The pair arrives at the tower, followed by Max, they are knocked out by Rapunzel, the story continues in a similar way as the original movie: the deal about the tiara and the lanterns. During the I've got a Dream song, Eguene and Stalyan want an island filled with money away from the Baron (In this timeline, both had escaped Vardaron and the Baron hoping to create a new and free life, the Baron hires the Stabbington brothers to bring the couple back).
Following the reveal of Rapunzels powers, during a midnight conversation, Rapunzel is amazed by the love displayed betwen Eugene and Stalyan. Her dream now is not just seeing the lanterns but also falling in love. Gothel confronts Rapunzel, mother knows best reprise, and all that. By the time they arrive at Corona, Eugene and Stalyan had become like big siblings to Rapunzel.
During the day celebrating, Rapunzel sumbles upon a handmaiden from the castle, their eyes meet for just a second, both felt something in their chests for just a second, the woman became lost within the dancing crowd. Rapunzel was left confusied, only remebering those beautiful hazel eyes in a light blue dress.
In the night, the trio saw the lanterns, Rapunzel praises and thanks Eugene and Stalyan for everything, she gives them the tiara, they refuse it. In land, Eugene and Stalyan argue about the tiara and finally being able to live freely. Stalyan says that they can now leave everything beyond but Eugene is hesitant. Suddenly the Stabbington brothers appear catching them off guard. Like in the movie, Gothel had manipulated the brothers, the boat setup happens, Rapunzel is brought back to the tower and the death sentence.
With the help of Max and the Snuggly Duckling gang, Eugene and Stalyan escape prison and head to the tower. While climbing the tower, Stalyan is able to enter but Gothel stabs her and closes the window. Stalyan tries to crawl near Rapunzel but Gothel stops her. Gothel then tells Rapunzel how Stalyan was willing to leave her with the tiara. Rapunzel starts to cry but Stalyan, seeing the end near tells her about being scared, about how she has been scared of her father in the same way Rapunzel is scared of her mother, but unlike her, Rapunzel was willing to stand up and build her freedom.
Rapunzel then confronts her mother, saying that if she doesn't let her heal Stalyan, she will cut her hair. Gothe agrees and sets Rapunzel free, she aproaches her friend and when about to heal her, Stalyan apologizes and cuts Rapunzels hair. Gothel panics and taking advantage of the situation, Pascal commits murder opening the window and pushing Gothel out of it. Eugene finally enters the room only to find her love lying in the ground. He starts crying, making Rapunzel do the same.
When the first of Rapunzels tears land on Stalyans face, a light starts to emerge from her wound. Fine yellow strokes of the sundrop comence to flood the room. Stalyans eyes open and she thanks Rapunzel for giving her a the leap to have strenght in herself.
The trio travel again to Corona so that Rapunzel can reunite with her parents. They hug Rapunzel and shortly after Eugene and Stalyan too. Smiles and tears are shed.
The history ends with Rapunzel narrating her history, now wondering about her life in this new happily ever after. Eugene is seen holding the tiara and running in the palace halls trying to escape Rapunzel, only to trip over the new princess' lady in wating. She then gives the tiara back to Rapunzel, making their eyes cross again. Rapunzel thanks her and both share a smile.
The end
Congratulations to those who made it this far!! Well, so that's it, my reimagination of Tangled. Fell free to comment, I accept polite critique. Imaginig this scenario was awesome and if any one is curious, yeah, I made all this alternate universe so that Rapunzel is single when she meets Cassandra. In the future I'll try to expand in the history, maybe create a real fic or something, but only if the college lets me. Anyone is free to base more tales, draws, comics, or anything from this.
That's all for now! :D

1) I have a theory regarding what happens in Abomination. As you had explained, both timelines, both in Real World and Story World were connected until the break in Story World occurs with the death of S!Thomas, but there are some details that I consider important to understand the reason why Magenta did that. You mentioned that that death altered what was going to happen in the future in Story World, what if it happened... But what if S!Joey did it on purpose to avoid the same fate as
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey ho hello there! Thank you for submitting this theory, it definitely isn’t a nuisance to me, I absolutely love it when people dive so deep into my story and have so many thoughts about it, I’m flattered! :D
And while it’s an interesting theory, I’ll tell you right off the bat that Magenta doesn’t really have that kind of insight to the reader’s mind nor mine. The 4th wall breaks indeed are supposed to be meta but it also was kind of a jab at the real Joey in that moment from him. There is no input from me as a “character” in the story, as Abomination was supposed to be a theory turned into a comic all along I’m only including there events which I have thought to be possible to be canon [with exceptions for a few “OCs” I had to make - random employees to fullfill other roles].
But there is of course a reason why story Joey is aware of, well, being in a story as there is a reason for him to act different than the real Joey! :D
Characters from the real world being now in the story world are more exaggerated, more “cartoony” as in the values that pop out most about them in reality, pop out here to the max. As for the story itself, their reality consist only of things relevant to the story. And finally, there’s this whole thing with the objectives these characters have and how they interpret them.
In a sense they are different characters. Especially those that haven’t died in real life.
But at the same time they are kind of the same person. Especially those that died in real life.
With a few exceptions here and there. :)
And this is where my answer is gonna get long with pictures attached and rambling so I’m gonna put the rest under the cut~
So, you know how there’s the Tombstone Picnic cartoon with it’s missing ending, right? As in - in the canon Bendy universe - when Bendy runs away from a skeleton and there’s a shadowy figure standing over him which he looks up and smiles and the screen goes black.
I’ve referrenced it a few times throughout the comic because it’s really important.
Tumblr media
Like this old-ass panel comes from Part 2 and some events happening in it are Joey and Bendy watching the episode with Bendy getting uncomfortable about being imperfect - he looks at what’s supposed to be his arms and legs.
Tumblr media
Generally parts 1-4 aren’t my proudest work art-wise nkjdf but there’s some things Very important to my little universe here.
Tumblr media
I’d say especially pay attention to panel 101 in this batch.
Then, eons later, there’s part 33 and it’s one that got a few people confused that the comic is ending because this is the title I gave it when posted:
Tumblr media
With the last panel of this part like this:
Tumblr media
Because, technically, this is where the story of the real studio ends and is a turning point of the comic. So, in a way, it is the end. But not the end of the story.
What I assumed with the world of Bendy was that there are two worlds: the real one and the story one which is more like a cartoon. Not just because the story world looks cartoon, it even acts like one with repeating over and over again and not being able to change what’s been done in it [save for few details].
An ending of a very important cartoon episode is missing and never comes and that’s probably what is on the end reel that Henry plays when he comes around but playing the end doesn’t stop things from repeating, it simply puts an end to the current iteration of the cycle.
Back to the comic’s timeline - the story world is created.
Tumblr media
I’m a silly goose, I know. :^)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Story Joey gets created and yeeted into the story world asmr - that’s panels from part 35 and it’s very short and weird. It’s not entirely meant to be taken literally.
It starts from little parallels between story Joey and story Henry - at least for how it is in my universe, they are both looping and starting from reading a letter from each other’s real life counterparts.
Tumblr media
In the next part [36] this is what story Joey is looking at when he breaks the 4th wall and this is where the events start changing and he kills Thomas before he quits - generally part 36 is the “equivalent” of part 18 with some repeated panels and some a bit edited and these entirely new from the new timeline. But this is all for laying down the differences betwen real and story Joey off the bat.
You could say that real Joey “would do anything to make his dreams possible” but reastically speaking you’d expect a person to have some kind of brakes, that stop them from doing literally anything. Well, as story Joey is an exaggerated version of real Joey, those brakes kind of get done. He’s dead pan fixated on doing literally anything. And as real Joey on his way of moral decay accepted murder as a solution sometimes, story Joey kind of just doesn’t hesitate.
Another thing about parts 18 and 36 is the mention of Henry.
Tumblr media
I haven’t gotten on it quite yet with the story Joey but what I’m gonna say is this: take real Joey’s obsession with blaming Henry for leaving mixed with leftover feelings he has for him and try to... simplyfy them and turn them Up.
Spoilers: it’s a mess.
OKAY BUT GOING BACK TO THE TOMBSTONE PICNIC WHICH IS REALLY WHAT MATTERS IN THIS RAMBLE-
In part 35 I lay down that I chose Joey to be the shadow in Tombstone Picnic.
At the time I took this decision I did it because I figured it just suits my version of the story better but honestly as of now I’m ever more convinced that it’s the case.
Because the reason why it being Henry would be cool is that if he was in a cartoon then he could be imprinted from this part of the reel - as this is apparently what’s needed in universe to print ink figures - so this is how in-game Henry would come to be.
BUT
Now DCTL has confirmed that regular humans can get inked and in BATDR trailers we met Audrey that kinda just looks like a cartoonified person which is very likely what happened to Henry. Also there’s this part in DCTL:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Buddy Boris wakes up after being turned his Boris - cartoon - part of their mind is awoken. He sees a shadowy figure that seems dysproportional to him implying he sees someone with human-like proportions.
Then Buddy wakes up and he sees... Joey.
To me the parallel is pretty straight-forward tbh  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But, of course, I decided for it to be Joey long before DCTL came out so I guess it’s just a cool thing to point out lol
The one thing with how I presented it in part 35 is that Joey wears the labcoat - technically he shouldn’t be wearing it, he should look like Joey usually looked like when the cartoon was made - in 1929. But not gonna lie it makes more sense for the shadowy figure to look like that with the coat included :P
And so story Joey takes away the ending by... literally ripping it away, tearing it from the reel. It’s kinda literal and kinda a metaphor.
The explanation for it is my main point here. Why I brought up that story characters are kinda different from real characters.
Because story Joey IS his own character. He’s been his own character since 1929. He’s literally a print of the cartoon. Right from the Tombstone Picnic reel.
Both he and THE END.
And here’s a little theory/headcanon - I’d like to think that cartoon reels/parts of them used for printing cartoon figures kind of just... get erased from the universe. It would explain why we never get to see that part of the cartoon and why things like that happen in the Handbook:
Tumblr media
Ah, a convenient random splash of ink.
So, that’s why story Joey is literally ripping the end away from the cartoon world, because this part is being taken away. Forever.
And what happens with Henry ending the story is that he... imprints the ending itself.
The end is brought to life, and the end = death and welp to me it appears that Henry has the role of the “reaper” as he’s connected to maaaaaaanyyyy death themes, literally called to “be one to bring death” and can get a cool scythe.
Soooo story Joey isn’t just story version of the real Joey, he’s not just Joey 2.0.
He’s the shadowy figure and essentially - a toon.
Tumblr media
That was the main thought of this ramble but as I’m on it I’ll throw more stuff linked to this:
Tumblr media
In part 41 story Joey visits Bendy for the first time in the story world - real Joey did it right after Thomas tried to quit, but again, story Joey had different priorities.
And. Throwback. Remember part 2? Where Bendy and real Joey watched the Tombstone Picnic? The reason here it’s Tasty Trio Troubles is kinda because in part 40 Butcher Gang figures were created from Lacie, Shawn and Grant so this is like a follow-up.
But back to part 2. Bendy was uncomfortable with his lack of limbs back then.
Parts 1-2 and 41 have a few panels that are intentionally drawn to look similiar or almost the same even, same with dialogue, like that:
Tumblr media
Never trust me when I do that.
Tumblr media
The reason is because-
Tumblr media
I’m a clown. :o)

Fic recs for Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji interacting (and hurting each other.)
Curtain Falls on a Clear Night by rototea https://archiveofourown.org/works/17613566
Lan Wangji takes Wei Ying on a night hunt to cheer him up, but they encounter a troubled Jin Ling. Where Lan Wangji makes sense of Jiang Cheng's words.
Like a lot of things I’m going to rec I think this is a little bit too optimistic about Lan Wangji’s level of patience and good will towards Jiang Cheng... but it’s a nicely put fanfic of Lan Wangji understanding Jiang Cheng.
To Try and Turn Back Time  by JemtheKingofSass https://archiveofourown.org/works/18325982
Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng cross paths after the destruction of the Yiling Patriarch.
Very well done parallelism.
Attempt the Impossible by acernor https://archiveofourown.org/works/18299264/chapters/43311404
Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian swap bodies, and have to pretend to be each other. GOOD FUCKING LUCK hahaha
“Don’t get so close,” Jiang Cheng snaps out as the children crowd into him, then catches himself.
When he drilled Wei Wuxian on acting like him… he forgot to think about how to act like him?!
He can feel his face turning a strange color.
Acting like Wei Wuxian…
It’s too shameless! He can’t do it!
By nature this is more of a WWX&JC reconciliation fic, but its body swapping device gave it a bit more interaction betwen Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji than is usual. A pretty hilarious fic, too!
Three’s A Crow by Etharei https://archiveofourown.org/works/17241887
In which Lan Wangji (HanGuang-Jun, Second Master of Lan Sect, one of the Two Jades of Lan) finds himself following after a certain young disciple on his first unsupervised night-hunt, only to run into a familiar face whilst lurking in the woods. Also, he has a lot of feelings.
Alternatively: the woods are crowded with helicopter single parents.
I’m not sure I can top that last line of the summary so.
drawn to the blood by darkredloveknot https://archiveofourown.org/works/22321612
Jiang Cheng pondered for a moment if he felt worse about having to save Lan Wangji, or if Lan Wangji felt worse about having to be saved by him.
Awkward, grumpy conversations in rescuing life situations is <3 Really good characterization in this.
Missing Pieces by LixyStrange https://archiveofourown.org/works/22411987
He's cold, he's always cold, his robes in tatters and never seem to keep him warm no matter how tightly he wraps them around his thin frame.
The only thing that breaks the monotony is screams. Screams and blood, fear, pain..and RAGE. -=- Wei Ying never made it to the burial grounds, Wen Chao instead decided to use him as an example to anyone who disobeyed him, to anyone who rebelled against the wens.
Wei Ying, murdered by Wen Chao, turns into a vengeful ghost and Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng fight to put Wei Ying to rest.
AU in which Wei Wuxian does die when thrown in the Yiling Burial Mound, and is stuck as a resentful ghost, and Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji team up to try to rescue his soul and give him rest, basically. There’s a sequel featuring Lan Wangji/Jiang Cheng.
Sorry there’s overall very little hurting each other in these fics. They are very sappy! I think the problem is that if Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng were to fight then Jiang Cheng would die and Wei Wuxian would be sad and clearly we can’t have that (and I’d be very unlikely to have saved them due to bias).

@sunlitroom i was anon with Gordlock, Jerome/Bruce and Zsaszlepot:)
Harvey and Jim - BROTP.
Tumblr media
They can be very sweet, really. And the touching way cynical, hardened by Gotham Harvey after prolonged exposure to Jim’s rebellion against the system revealed that he never was that hard and disillusioned. He supported Jim in s2, even when Jim lost his shining armor, so to speak. In s3a he ttrusted Jim when they gone after Tetch (despite Jim being compromised), covered up Jim’s digging into Court business, allowed infected Jim to join the search for the cure (it was dangerous move, and it backfired, but it was amazing display of trust). He risked his life to try and offer Jim cure in 3x22.  Their conflict in s4, paralleled by Bruce-Alfred fight, was double painful - because we saw in s3 finale, how deep is the care Harvey and Alfred feel towards Jim and Bruce respectfully.  I still think that sudden secret gambling problem writers added to Harvey was there only for drama and not really in tow with what we saw before, but it worked as a reason for Harvey to join Pax Penguina and for Jim to be angry after ‘the betrayal’ was revealed. It worked even (agruably) as a way to show not very savory traits of Harvey - his enjoiment of being the captain and disdain when he lost this, his inability to face his mistakes - illustarted even by the way his life turned downside after he left GCPD. And with Jim it was revealing of bad parts too - Harvey ceased to be friend for him and became corrupted official (astonishing ability to ignore his own misdeeds, but we know Jim, he probably thinks it’s not being sold out if you don’t take money). And their reunion in 4b, not easy but needed by both of them, and how Harvey just after they made peace while Jim was in hospital, went and risked his life again in 4x16, believing Jim can save him. Ugh, in short, i love those guys and their parthnership.
Bruce and Jerome - curious dynamic, for me.
Tumblr media
I think i'm in the minority here, but i liked Jerome much better than Jeremiah. With Jerome Bruce had balance, understanding of the opposites and moral conflict at the same time. Like in 3x14, their best episode, when Jerome tested Bruce's tolerance of pain. Or their fight in mirror hall, where Jerome's madness showed Bruce who he doesn't want to become. They had such a great duality - stoic vs frantic, loved vs abused, merciful vs callous. And they had something going on outside of their struggle - Jerome and his quest for chaos, Bruce and his vigilante with cool tech origins. It's a pity that Jerome was too energetic for Gotham world to contain and he always ended up dead/in institution after a short period of freedom.
Oswald and Victor Zsasz - why not.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the reasons shallow me chooses pairings to ship is aesthetic appeal. And it certainly can be found here. Black and white, elegant violence on serious days and good comedic dynamic on goofy ones. i can even go far and speculate that Oswald was really hurt by Zsasz's betrayal in 4x11, and that it was not very easy for Victor (his tense state after he gave Jim the testament needed to lock Oswald up and his disappearance after). Their relationship can even be considered as changing gradually - from curiousity on Victor's part towards his boss' pawn who's beaten up but not afraid of him, to respect and glee of their work in s2 when he saw Oswald in all his criminal glory, to even something fond and familiar betwen them in s4 whinch Sofia wrecked (she robbed Oswald of not one, but two men, good aim). Oswald obviously trusted Zsasz, he wouldn't give him the task of hiding Martin otherwise. And that is painful again, that his sentimentality in the face of joined experience always blinds him to the fact he knew once so well, that there's no loyalty among thiefes. All in all, good dramatic relatioship with good, bad and pretty, but i can't say i really ship them since they are not my favorite characters.
Jim and Valerie - underrated.
Tumblr media
Can i just say we deserved more Valerie in general? She seemed to enjoy her work, was confident and ready for risk. And writers served her such a grievous departure - wounded because of Jim to spare his ex, crying on a hospital bed. I liked her way of teasing Jim and Jim getting to answer in kind. They were funny detective duo in s3 beginning - more sabotaging each other than anything other, but doing it with spark, without harm and malice. i liked even the way she didn't want to get too close and was open to Jim about it. She felt that it would be bad for her and damn was she right. Valerie was an interesting Jim's woman, because she didn't have that perfect boy scout picture before her - when she met Jim, he was a wreck, and she liked him anyway. She was mystified by him - i actually dig tht detail in their scene in 3x02, where she came to ask why Jim risked himself to save Harvey (rare and good), let Fish go for Oswald to decide what to do away from prying eyes (with angry crowd all around it would be harder for him to spare her) and didn't demand his bounty. She saw that subtle selflessness and thoughtfulness in him and that was what caught her. And it was his cruelty and messy past that pushed her away. And Jim was actually fairly easy going with her. He was tired of comforting Barbara after hard days at work, he was taken aback with Lee's pursuit in s1, and in general more shy with her, but with Valerie's lack of it he was more active and - well, i wouldn't say 'smooth' but he tried. They could have something good, if not for that godforsaken love triangle plot with Lee. Also, Valerie brough my question where Jim got this big cups from. X)

Higgs
So firstly, here's a question, im curious, what evidence lead to the headcanonthat higgs is a jäger/the sneaky jäger general? Is it a fun idea? Yes. But where/how did it come from?
Secondly, there's a particle called the higgs boson particle. Its a theoretical particlethat grants quarks (theparticles protons and neutrons are made of) mass. (How? Imagine walking through a crowd of people. More crowded equals harder to move and opposite etc. The peopel are the higgs particle. The crowd of them is the higgs field, thus mass) More importantly, it hasn't been actually discovered or physically proven. There's just some particles with mass from something and scientists decided it was this.
I haven't concluded any substaintial parallels betwen the partcle and the mysterious airman, but if anyone else can, feel free.

The Thing about GoT Parallels
I’ve been going down a rabbit hole of reading lots of metas (particularly ones that are convinced Daenerys is going to be evil) in the final season. I’m not saying it couldn’t happen though at this point I’m rather skeptical. I’m not a shipper of either of the conflicting pairings, by the way, so my post isn’t biased toward that. But I notice something about the idea of “parallels”.
These metas (on all sides of the spectrum) are big fans of drawing parallels. “The white walkers and dragons are parallels and therefore equally bad!” “Jon and Sansa are parallels of Ned and Catelyn and therefore meant to be!” “Jon and Daenerys are parallels of Lyanna and Rhaegar and therefore meant to be!”
But the thing is, you can interpret a parallel in so many different ways (especially before you know the ending of a thing). I’ll give you an example:
Tyrion is the hand of the queen to Daenerys. Coincidentally, his father was hand of the king to her father. So what could this parallel mean? On one hand we could take the negative approach. The “everything repeats itself” approach. Perhaps Tywin’s eventual falling out with Aerys means that Tyrion is going to have a falling out with Daenerys and eventually help orchestrate her downfall. Tyrion is stated in the books to be “his father’s son” and Daenerys is constantly compared to her father. Maybe they are both fated to follow in their footsteps.
On the otherhand, we could take the positive approach. That while Tyrion and Dany share characteristics with their fathers, they have learned from their mistakes and are better than them. They will ultimately overcome their darker parts and embrace goodness.
On the other hand, perhaps Tyrion will fall to the darker parts like his father and betray a good Daenerys. Or maybe a bad Daenerys will fall to her darker parts and betray a good Tyrion.
And whatever the ending of their relationship I COULD DRAW PARELLELS. No matter what. There are always parallels to be drawn. Yes, Daenerys shares lots of traits with her father. He was also extremely idealistic and sometimes made promises he couldn’t keep in his youth before the whole madness thing. And they both burn people alive. But we have no way of knowing if the show runners will have her overcome or succumb to her fate. Tyrion, like his father, is manipulative, clever and a great player of the game. But we have no way of knowing if he has overcome his father by killing him or if his father still has a grip on Tyrion’s fate.
I see lots of metas where people are CONVINCED that the parallels they’ve found are DEFINITE FORESHADOWING for the final season. And yeah, maybe. But it really is all conjecture this point, and any symbol could have many interpretations. The parallels between dragons and white walkers could be setting them up as enemies or as two equally bad forces. The parallels betwen Jonerys and Rhaegar x Lyanna could be a symbol of fated true love or a way to show that tragedy repeats itself. We won’t know until April. But whatever the case, understand that it might not go your way.
