It’s true though, Tomimi’s design is apex horny but I cannot think of her in any sexual light 20% because I’m a thin, long tail kinda guy, and 80% because she’s actually fucking hilarious, all I associate Tomimi with is “endorphin”, she’s a Caster but excels in hand-to-hand combat, to the point where she managed to take over several Sargonian tribes by beating them, cunning enough that she managed to do that in the lowdown without a lot of people noticing, canonically knows how to operate a surface-to-air missile launcher, canonically operated a surface-to-air missile launcher to shoot down her crush because she (correctly) assumed said crush could survive not just getting hit by a missile, but also the subsequent plane crash, she did this after she got her crush to come by plane at her own repeated insistence, met Doctor and unlike the vast majority of characters, immediately perceived them as a LETHAL THREAT but not because she sensed anything wrong with them or managed to peek into their past or anything, it was simply because Doc and Gavial are canonically good friends, and since Doc is also pretty fragile physically, Gavial was taking extra care to make sure they were alright in the harsh conditions of Sargon, which made Tomimi supremely jealous, and the moment she goes an “uuuu uuuu uuuu why don’t you ask ME if I slept well”, Gavial immediately chokeslams her with “bro you are literally a warlord, I’m positive you’re fine”, oh, yeah, Tomimi is a warlord, also the moment the GIG IS UP, Tomimi goes “my psionic warriors! Seal this booboo bear within my bedroom! I command you!” but then Gavial and Eunectes do a beautiful reenactment of Dynasty Warriors 3 and beat the absolute shit out of numerous tribes while Tomimi rapidly starts freaking out in real time because SHE knows it’s up, she’s getting owned in front of girls, she’s getting owned in front of the girl she LIKES, by the girl she likes, and by the end, she gets spanked in her fat tail by Gavial (around 800000 newtons of force) and says FINE and applies to Rhodes Island instead if she can’t keep Gavial in Sargon.
And what do we learn in Rhodes Island? She knows how to fucking work a grill. She canonically can operate a surface-to-air missile launcher AND a grill, and everyone loves her! And when getting evaluated to be a Caster, since her style of magic is “hook to the liver into double leg takedown and transition into triangle choke”, the evaluators were like “mmmm so that’s not quite what we do here...”
but then
Tumblr media
“...But also that was dope as all fuck and I think we, as Casters, ought to get BUFF and learn HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT as well, funny alligator girl has a point” and they let her be a Caster even though her signature spell is Suplex.
So this absolute goober shoots your plane down with a missile launcher, then tries to kidnap you, THEN fails so fucking hard at her job interview that they go “we’ve never seen anyone do it this bad, you’re fascinating”, actually gets the job, under you, because that’s where they put the weirdos, and turns out to be a grillmaster that is only born once every one hundred years.
There is actually nothing about Tomimi that isn’t fucking hilarious and I will wingman for her at the cost of everything, I will risk it ALL.

Hot damn, what a fantastic book. This is Colonial Marines Operations Manual (2021) for Free League’s Alien RPG. Prior to this, published Alien adventures were designed for the cinematic side of the game — pre-generated characters, secret agendas, fairly linear plots — but this is the first in a series of open world campaign supplements (the plan, I believe, is release a book like this for every primary occupation in the core rulebook).
The player portion of the book is everything you wanted to know about the Colonial Marines for play. There’s stuff on unit structure, specialized roles (with slight mechanical tweaks), heaps of equipment. There’s a good deal of lore and rumors, too, which is an appetizer for the GM section, containing as it does a truckload of lore, details on swaths of the galaxy, the lowdown on the war that just broke out (between the United Americas and the Union of Progressive Peoples) and secrets galore. This section lays out the an open ended military-focused campaign, complete with a ship that serves as home base, NPCs and framing for particular sorts of missions. The final section supplement the open campaign with seven connected scenarios that build off the events of the seemingly unconnected cinematic scenarios and pushes the overall Alien RPG meta forward with some potentially big paradigm shifts.
The thing about this book, and the Alien line in general, that bowls me over is the lore. There is a lot of BAD material in the Alien franchise (Prometheus? Prometheus.). There is also some great stuff that is obscure (lots of comic book stories) or was unproduced (like Gibson’s Alien 3 script). Somehow Andrew Gaska has pulled those thread of varying quality into a tapestry that works as a compelling universe for roleplay. Initially, with the cinematic scenarios, there were big guardrails. Colonial Marines lowers them substantially and beyond them I can see the expanse of thrilling galaxy. More please.

Sofia Aziz was born in the grimy, neon-soaked heart of Night City in 2045. Coming up on the fringes of the city, (Santo Domingo District) she got a front-row seat to the tough  reality of life in a world run by mega-corps, mob bosses, and a constant hustle for survival. Raised by a single mom who was turning wrenches as a mechanic, Sofia had to get savvy and self-reliant from the jump.
Her childhood was straight-up hood drama, where making it meant adapting to the cutthroat ways of the streets. Growing up amid turf wars and corporate power plays, she got the lowdown on navigating the twisted web of a city hanging by a thread. Sofia's life took a wild turn when she clocked her killer sharpshooting skills in a crazy showdown with scavs. Trying to shield her mom and their little crib from imminent trouble, Sofia snagged a discarded rifle and, with insane precision for her age and greenness, wiped the goons out from a distance.
Tumblr media
As a teen, Sofia found her calling in marksmanship and cybernetic enhancements . Her knack for handling sniper rifles caught eyes in the down-low scenes of Night City. Living on the edge of society, she dove into gigs for all sorts of shady folks, slowly but surely carving out a name for herself as a top-notch, low-key operator.
Tumblr media
Throughout her early career, Sofia hooked up with all kinds of crews, running with edgerunners, linking up with netrunners, even teaming up with corporate players itching to stick it to their competition. But in a city where loyalty's scarcer than a hen's teeth, Sofia figured out quick that the only one she could really count on was herself. Backstabs and double-crosses were practically the norm in her life, making her pivot and grow just to stay on top of the ever-changing game in Night City.
Tumblr media
Sofia's life took a wild turn when her skills got on the radar of Rosalind Myers, the cunning influential President of the New United States of America. Right in the middle of one of her solo missions, she got hit up with an unexpected deal. A message blinked on her encrypted channel, straight from none other than Prez Myers herself. Sofia was curious, so she tuned in as the President's hologram unfolded, dropping a proposition that was gonna flip her life upside down.
Myers, known for her knack for putting together a crew of unconventional specialists, personally hit up Sofia. With rival factions and corporate sharks circling, Myers saw Sofia as a key player for NUSA's security. Now, Sofia had a choice: stick to her shadow game or jump on a new road, using her skills for something bigger than just herself. Intrigued by the challenge and feeling the pull of a new purpose, she said yes to Myers and became a key player in NUSA's hush-hush ops.
Tumblr media
With Myers at the helm, Sofia went through  serious cybernetic upgrades and rigorous training in espionage tactics. She morphed into a top-tier sniper loaded with the latest tech. Her gigs? Everything from slamming terrorists to taking out big-shot targets messing with the nation's safety.
Tumblr media
Behind the cold front of the sniper, Sofia's still holding onto a strong sense of what's right. Without Myers catching on, Sofia starts wrestling with the shady morality of her gigs, caught between staying true to her benefactor and wanting a world that's more fair. Before she knows it, she's deep in the twisted game of corporate tricks and political moves that make the world tick. The more her missions get morally messy, the more she's side-eyeing the real motives of those she serves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sofia used to roll solo, working the streets of Night City with just her sniper and instinct. But when the FIA dangled an offer too good to pass up, it meant ditching the lone wolf for a world of teamwork, alliances, and playing nice – not exactly her usual scene.
In walks Solomon Reed, seasoned FIA big shot, a master agent known for his tactical moves and kicking ass in combat. She could see it coming from a mile away: her, all about doing her own thing, and Solomon, Mr. Teamwork. They were like mixing oil and water, their vibes and ways of doing things just didn't seem to fit together.
Their debut mission was a baptism fire. They had to bust up a cybernetic smuggling ring that was playing with fire and messing with national security. Sofia, used to doing her own thing in the shadows, clashed hard with Solomon's disciplined, by-the-book style. She was all about the cloak-and-dagger, posted up on some skyscraper with her rifle aimed and ready. Meanwhile, Solomon was into getting his boots dirty on the pavement, digging through data, and orchestrating spot-on, coordinated hits.
Truth is, Reed wasn't exactly throwing a party for the new kid on the block. Sofia, the sneaky sniper, got the nod from President Rosalind Myers herself, and that ruffled Solomon's feathers big time. The FIA was his turf, and the thought of someone parachuting into his crew without his say-so? Yeah, that went down like a bitter pill. When Sofia strolled into FIA HQ, you could practically taste the awkward vibes. The Prez made it crystal clear – Sofia was ride-or-die with Solomon on the next mission. It was an order he couldn't wiggle out of, but it didn't mean he had to be cool with it.
Right out the gate, tension between them rised. Solomon, all about rules and careful planning, put real stock in the slow, methodical way of building a squad. The kicker? Sofia getting picked by the President herself, skipping Solomon's usual team-picking routine. That move only cranked up his suspicion meter.
Their first missions together were a test of patience and adaptability. Solomon observed Sofia from the shadows, his eyes narrowing as she effortlessly picked off targets with her sniper rifle. The precision was undeniable, but trust wasn't built on skill alone, and Solomon couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss.
Convos between them were short and to the point, loaded with guarded exchanges and unspoken animosity. Sofia, used to doing her own thing, wasn't throwing shade to win Solomon over, and he, in return, was side-eyeing every move she pulled. Well, that’s what happened at first. But as missions unfolded, they kinda had to give props where it was due. Sofia's sharpshooting game was like a solid backup for Solomon's upfront moves, and Solomon's big-brain thinking was steering Sofia through the tricky parts of the ops. It took a minute, but they couldn't deny – they were starting to clock the real worth in each other's skills.
This and there was that undeniable tension crackling between them.
Despite not exactly clicking or laying down trust at work, Sol couldn't help but feel the draw of Sofia's killer combo of independence and being a sharpshooting ace. It was like an allure that caught his eye amid all the uncertainty. On the flip side, Sofia couldn't shake the fascination with Reed’s big-brain moves and veteran skills, creating this enticing attraction bubbling just below the surface. They might not be on the same wavelength at work, but there was definitely something cooking between them when the mission lights were off.
Their weird alliance kept trucking, and sure, they were getting smoother in the field, but the trust issues? Still hanging around like a bad smell. President Myers' shadow was looming large, making every move and call a questionable one. As Sofia and Solomon waded through the sketchy world of high-level spying, they couldn't shake the vibe that the real game was going down way above their pay grade.

Marcy coming home after a family reunion.
Anne: Hey Marbles, welcome home!
Sasha: So how was the reunion?
Marcy: well……
(Flashback)
Marcy: and that’s the lowdown on Anne and Sasha, I can’t wait for you to meet them at the wedding.
Grandma Wu: I don’t know why you went into art but it’s so wonderful that you’re engaged to two doctors.
Mrs.Wu: They’re not real doctors, one talks to kids about their “feelings” and the other is a glorified petting zoo operator.
(End Flashback)
Marcy: Luckily Dad created a distraction to change the subject shortly after that
Sasha:…………
Anne: I mean…she’s not wrong when you think about it……

Arcane fic idea...
Interested in exploring a story where Silco finds Jinx after the Bridge explosion in ep 8, and Singed saves her as per canon.
Buuuut - instead of Jinx sneaking off, she’s still on the operating table when she regains consciousness, and Silco hauls her back home. She’s dazed, she’s unstable, she’s just watched her sister ‘abandon’ her (again) in favor of a Piltie Enforcer and been taken in (again) by the man she’s not supposed to trust.
Between the traumatic medical procedure, the Shimmer infecting her mind, and the million torn-open psychic wounds, her brain flatlines into autopilot for its own self-preservation.
Meanwhile Silco is frothing - at himself for sending Jinx on the hunt for the Hex crystal, at Vi for being the cause of all the trouble, and at Piltover for putting the Undercity in a position where he needs to put his child on the line for Zaun’s liberation in the first place.
His rage at the latter soon eclipses everything else.
When Jayce requests a parley and demands Jinx as tribute, Silco refuses - and wages war on Piltover.
The Council is absolutely blindsided. As are the rest of Piltover. They are still in the early stages of weaponizing Hextech, despite its superiority to Silco’s Shimmer-soldiers. Meanwhile, Zaun has been planning a guerilla rebellion for years - and acts with stealth, strategy and absolutely no scruple.
The conflict spans several weeks - and sees horrific carnage on both sides. Jinx, with a near-cyborgian efficiency, leads the charge and takes out good chunks of Piltover’s armory. Meanwhile, Enforcers flood Zaun and leave parts of it absolutely razed, with little to no survivors. A good number of Silco’s goons are lost in the fray; Silco himself gets dragged into it, just another cog in his machine of carnage.
With Fishbones at hand, Jinx deals the finishing blow - and obliterates the Bridge. In doing so, she buries years’ worth of trauma tied to that place - but also integral parts of her true self.
And she breaks down in hysterical tears under the weight of her loss.
Three months into the war, Zaun is free. Silco is First Chancellor - and working with ruthless speed to remake the nation into a sovereign contender on Runeterra’s stage - while also shaping it into his own personal oligarchy.  He is also secretly choking on the bile of his own self-hatred, and is unable to acknowledge his emotion for what it is.
Grief.
Because Jinx, following the war, has devolved into a creature unhinged with rage one moment, near-comatose with despair the next. She’s kept medicated and under close watch in Silco’s penthouse suite. Every night, he comes home from work and goes to sit by her bedside.
And he dies a little more inside.
Cue a request from Piltover to begin negotiations for a permanent peace-treaty. Mel Madarda leads the charge. She and Silco circle each other with double-speak and mindgames like two predators in a waltz. (They both enjoy it more than they care to admit.)
The crux of the peace deal - Vi.
She wants to visit the Fissures. And see Jinx.
What follows is essentially a custody battle at the highest political level - complete with blackmail, back-alley deals, games of cat and mouse, violence, glittering Topside galas and lowdown Undercity debauchery. Silco has directed all his spleen and venom at Vi - and will do anything to keep Jinx safe from her. Likewise, Vi will do anything to wrench her sister away from his corrupting influence.
Meanwhile, like Zaun, Jinx must grow out of her bloodied past - and into a new self and bigger dreams.
Obviously, this story would be a multichapter monster. Also multiple ships - including some rare!pairs in scenarios of varying levels of angst and discomfort. For instance, I enjoy the idea of MelJayVik, where Jayce is basically a clueless golden retriever, Viktor pines in futility even as he sinks deeper into his Machine Herald role, and Mel cares deeply for Jayce, while wanting to keep her options open (largely because of the debacle with her mother and Noxus breathing down Piltover’s neck.) Cue an ill-advised but mutually gainful dalliance with Zaun’s First Chancellor - before she finds her bearings. And remembers her heart.
Meanwhile, I also want to explore Sevika/Silco as a dysfunctional but darkly pragmatic endgame. I’ve mentioned it before, but I like the idea of a FMA Roy Mustang/Riza Hawkeye dynamic between them, where she has his back and keeps his eye on the Mission - while also secretly hoping for something more (a hope she hides even from herself.)
In most scenarios, the other partner is oblivious to the pining party’s affection. Not Silco. If anything, he exploits it to his advantage. Expect more mind-games, and emotionless hook-ups, and both of them running hot and cold beneath a façade of cool professionalism - until something takes, or explodes.
The fic’s theme wouldn’t be reconciliation. More growing out of loss and learning to live with the scars - through rare moments of solace. Silco, especially, I’d want to put in a scenario where he grows disenchanted with power, and finds in his adopted daughter his own salvation, even if that doesn’t exactly make him a better person.
Let me know y’all’s thoughts! Obviously this would an utter angst!ball of a story if I ever decide to pen it down 8′’)

X-Men: Resurgence - Unraveling the Mysteries of Krakoa's Fall and Beyond
Tumblr media
For devoted X-Men enthusiasts, the aftermath of Krakoa's Fall, the grand Hellfire Gala, the enigmatic X-Men #14, the enigmatic Typhoid Mary, and the enigmatic Avengers are all burning questions. What's the lowdown on the X-Men in this post-Krakoa era? Let's go ahead and unravel the tale.
In the wake of the seismic shifts in the X-Men's world during the "Fall of X" events, it's been nearly a month since the anti-mutant terrorist organization Orchis launched a devastating assault on Krakoa, seemingly resulting in the loss of almost 250,000 mutants during the Hellfire Gala of 2023. But what happened in the aftermath? What became of those mutants, and who among them is alive or deceased?
Let's kick things off with the most pressing query: the fate of the vast population of Krakoa, those 250,000 mutants who, according to reports, were sent through the Krakoa gates by Xavier during the Hellfire Gala's one-shot spectacle.
Contrary to Xavier's worst fears, the apparent mutant genocide has proven falsehood. Rather than perishing, all 250,000 mutants find themselves marooned in a sprawling desert, mysteriously severed from Xavier's telepathic connection, as depicted in the pages of Immortal X-Men #14. In a rather overt symbolic gesture, the zealous mutant known as Exodus pledges to lead this multitude through the desert to an unseen "promised land."
For those not catching the reference, the Book of Exodus in both the Torah and the Old Testament recounts Moses guiding the Jewish people through the desert, ultimately leading them from Egypt to their long-awaited Promised Land, Canaan.
Simultaneously, the core X-Men team has perished or disbanded, leaving a ragtag band of mutant survivors under the leadership of Emma Frost and Tony Stark, who are on matrimony. They have taken refuge in the Morlock tunnels beneath Manhattan to elude the vigilant gaze of Orchis' StarkTech Sentinels, constructed with illicitly acquired Iron Man technology.
Surprisingly, the resistance has found an unlikely ally in Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, who has emerged from retirement due to the targeting of his wife, the mutant antagonist Typhoid Mary, by Orchis.
Cyclops and Jean Grey are presumed dead, with Madelyne Pryor confirming in Dark X-Men #1 that she sensed Jean's psyche fading when she was slain during the Hellfire Gala. Time will tell if this is a lasting development, as Jean is on the verge of headlining her limited series in which she reunites with the Phoenix Force, the cosmic entity of rebirth. Regarding Cyclops, the new Uncanny X-Men #1 strongly hints that he may have been resurrected as Orchis' super soldier Captain Krakoa, perpetrating anti-mutant violence. However, this still needs to be verified, and signs point to an alternative explanation.
In Astonishing Iceman #1, it's revealed that Bobby Drake did not truly meet his end when he was liquefied by scorching nanites during the Hellfire Gala. Instead, he was reduced to a mist-like state, yet his consciousness retained enough coherence for the mutant empath Romeo to piece him back together. This resurrection comes at a cost, however. Bobby can no longer assume his human form and only leave his clandestine Antarctic hideout for a brief hour before losing his corporeal manifestation again. Nonetheless, this transformation grants him a unique advantage - the ability to teleport virtually anywhere on Earth without Orchis' detection, enabling him to strike at Stark Sentinels and make a getaway without being apprehended. Simultaneously, Kamala Khan has thrown her lot in with the mutant resistance, with her forthcoming limited series, Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant, set to explore her escapades in this post-Krakoa era.
While the X-Men have welcomed a fresh member in Kamala Khan, Kate Pryde has embraced her inner Wolverine. Now operating under the moniker "Shadowkat," a nod to her '90s codename "Shadowcat," she employs her unique ability to traverse Krakoa gates, now isolated from other mutants, to ambush and dismantle Orchis forces with her formidable ninja combat skills as witnessed in X-Men #25.
Elsewhere, in the mutant haven of Arakko, Storm and the council, as chronicled in X-Men: Red #14, grapple with a war against the exiled mutants of Amenth, who were banished following the X of Swords crossover event in 2020.
And there you have it, the overarching narrative of the X-Men's trajectory following the fall of Krakoa. Much more awaits as the "Fall of X" era unfolds.

What happened to the thirst for knowledge in society? When did we lose it and why? This is such a magical, interesting world we live in, one could live a million lifetimes and still not scratch the surface when it comes to gaining all the knowledge there is to gain. So why are people so comfortable with firstly being told by a black box what is real and what is not, but secondly quite content that that just five channels will tell them all they ever need to know in life? People don’t read anymore, they’re not interested in it because it takes up too much time and effort, it goes back to this convenience culture again. They might have to think, imagine, discern information, you know all those things we are ‘supposed’ to be doing. Its much easier to just slouch back in the armchair with a burger and a coke and let the black box tell you everything you need to know.
Yet the cycle continues as children are thrust in front of the television as soon as they are out of their cots, conditioned from birth to be conditioned by the TV. So it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that we are a world of TV watchers. Imagine living your entire life, getting your lowdown on everything that happens on the planet from this black box in the corner of your room?! Yet people do it, and it only benefits those in power who control those 5 channels. They can propagate anything knowing people will believe it as gospel, and of course the TV would never lie to us would it?!
If people only knew or did the research into what the TV does to the mind then they may just think twice about watching it. As human beings we operate on varying brain wave functions which are alpha, beta, delta, and theta. Our normal resting state is that of beta, this is where we are just going about our daily lives with a certain level of awareness and alertness. This is important when we talk of both the conscious and subconscious minds. Imagine the conscious mind as like the firewall for your computer, filtering information as it comes in and protecting your PC from anything negative or viruses. Your subconscious mind literally cannot think for itself, however if anything gets through and reaches the subconscious it will just react on that information, whatever gets through becomes ideas, viewpoints, and opinions about the world, it becomes our very belief systems. So the conscious mind is extremely important in filtering what comes through to the subconscious. For example you are reading this now so your mind is operating at a normal resting ‘beta’ rate, and your conscious mind is taking in all the information and discerning whether or not it is true, it then either allows (or doesn’t) the information through to your subconscious. Like I said if this is allowed through to the subconscious this will play out in the real world as new opinions, ideas etc. Now what happens when you watch TV is that the actual frequency the television omits literally changes your brainwave pattern from beta to a much more suggestible alpha state. This is almost like a hypnotic trance state, where your conscious mind (firewall) has now been sufficiently relaxed and lowered, almost like being ‘off guard’ which now totally exposes the subconscious mind to the information coming from the television. This is why when you look at people when they are watching TV they actually look like they are in a trance, because mentally that is what is going on, zombified with mouth slightly aghast.
Then what happens when they have you in that hypnotic state? That’s right they hit you with all the advertisements, subliminals, and propaganda, telling you that you need to buy stuff you don’t need, telling you what junk food to eat, how to act, look, and think. You are quite literally being programmed, and that’s why after all they are called TV PROGRAMS! Telling a lie to your vision repeating the same thing day after day, week after week, year after year. “You are not enough and must become more beautiful”, “you must hate Muslims”, “You must eat McDonalds”. Your subconscious mind is being bombarded with bullshit when your guard is down. Billions of pounds a year are made from companies advertising on TV, and God only knows how many billions across the planet getting hypnotized to beLIEve (there it is again in the very word) State propaganda to gain support for yet another bombing campaign in some far away oil rich land.

Gonna spin the wheel and ask for 1, 5, and 7 for character 36!
(@the-tired-commander)
And number 36 isssss.....Llaryen!
Tumblr media
1. Write a basic lowdown of your OC. What's their deal?
Llaryen is a necromancer-turned revenant Nightmare Courtier, though he doesn't so much act to further the Nightmare as much as just mill around being miserable. He essentially sacrificed himself so his beloved could escape the clutches of the Court, but in the process of his subsequent conversion his necromancy got "corrupted" into a lore-bendy version of revenant magic (though given EoD stuff it's less bendy than it used to be) where the spirit is channeled through him and into a minion that hangs around and insults him telepathically while waiting for him to let his guard down so it can bodyjack him.
Behind the scenes, he has the extremely rare honor of being one of the few characters that has a fic written about him, since I rolled his number for a randomizer exercise I was doing a few years ago! It's over here!
5. Their most favorite map/place in general?
I swear not all my Courtier characters mill around Caledon, but in this case Llaryen does, and specifically the area where Dolorous Vale (the Courtier camp he operates out of) opens up into Ogham Wilds, aka that waterfall area that imitates the sylvari tutorial instance in the Dream. This is the last place he was with his dearheart and therefore also the place he was captured by the Court, but despite that the area still holds strong positive memories for him so he tends to hang out there reminiscing whenever he can.
Additional fun fact: the banner image for the fic I linked in the last question is a view of the sky from this very spot!
7. Do they have a favorite mount?
Technically speaking that account doesn't have mounts yet (whoops), but any he would use IC would be either Court-affiliated (I'm thinking large nightmare hounds or spiders) or something he rigs up himself with necromancy and lets his resident spirit drive around, though that is an infinitely more risky option considering the spirit's recklessness. Mechanically this would work out to a jackal skin of some kind minus the teleporting bloops, or something wholly original in the case of the spider (rip that one scrapped spider mount idea ;-;). Essentially, largely terrestrial but with a smidge of verticality to make navigation easier.

"That mask y'gave me ain't a uniform requirement, is it?" It was hard to tell if she was joking or not.
Tumblr media
“Not unless you want it to be, so the decision’s yours. Figured you might want to keep your identity on the lowdown as long as you’re working for me considering you could be the one ending up getting a target on your back.” Roman said, bringing the lighter to the end of the cigar held between his teeth. Plumes of acrid smoke instantly arose as the flame ignited, the man sucking in a lungful of the pungent fumes before turning his gaze back onto Foxglove. He regarded her with a curious eye, hoping to access her reaction. She may or may not have been joking but Roman had been deadly serious, delivering his words without a shred of humour or concern. Briefly he’d entertained the idea of telling her that yes, the mask was a uniform requirement but it had been difficult enough getting her onboard with his operation to begin with and didn’t want to give her any additional reason to get cold feet right at the last minute. Speaking of the mask he’d given her, Roman had been most pleasantly surprised - both at her question and the fact she’d still kept the thing for as long as she had. He’d suspected she might have thrown it away, burned it even when she’d stubbornly resisted his efforts at wearing her down. At first it had been an offering, his way of extending a hand not so much as an invitation but demand to come work for him. Back then it had been plain, an effigy carved of wood stylized in a vulpine image with a grin to match. Now? It had changed, much like their relationship had. Against all expectations, Foxglove had accepted his little gift, however begrudgingly and made it hers, painting it in her signature colours once his delivery boy had left it within the vicinity of her territory. Dark eyes slowly looked her up and down, his own gaze impassive as he wondered if she’d wished she’d changed her mind. "You laid your terms down very flat and maintained that I was to respect you as your own person. You can choose to wear the mask or not; much as I like my men to be wearing ‘em to show who they work for, you’re a different story. Personally I care more about what you can do than what you look like so keeping your identity a secret is your own problem to sort out, not mine. Just do as I ask and the money’s yours.”

it will be 20 years until i get my oc troopers bios up but here’s the lowdown <3
st - 1136 : skipper / kip
scuba trooper in kit fisto’s legion of clones. serves specifically as a scuba trooper and aquatics expert. absolutely adores sea life and is fascinated by water. during his cadet days, he often got caught for wanting to see if he could swim in the waters. that eventually took him towards his current career path. his name came from what people would often call the head of a underwater expedition; skipper was at first used mockingly in his cadet days and eventually became truth. sometimes people shorten it to kip or skip. he’s proud of who he is. outside the water, kip is a very easy going trooper who thrives off of making people laugh in the darkest times, almost as a light in the dark. he’s usually referred to as the annoying little brother no one expected but always got. his jokes and humor are never at the expense of anyone— aways about himself or anything he can think of! this goes on even when he loses his arm and is on the operating table— he asks his medic “could you give me a hand?”
ct - 5678 / sequence
his name sounds pretty simple, right? something in reference to how his serial number is in sequential order. but that’s not all there is to him. growing up on kamino, they are made to serve specific purposes. he didn’t much care for those purposes— only every cared when it pertained to his batchmates wellbeing. sequence is fascinated by the science behind cloning a specific dna sequence to their own liking. that is where he gets his name. he may be the clone that is most well versed in their dna, with dedicated studies mocked up in barracks. he’s not so much introverted, hes more of a person who only speaks if they have anything to say or provide. he is softspoken and kind, always there to help provide a quiet companionship. if you need a better understanding of the mission on a chemical level? he’s your guy! currently, he’s unassigned in terms of who he works with (jedi etc). so it could be up to plot!
ct - 2222 / twos
twos is the boisterous, heart in the right place, himbo of all my troopers. his name comes from not only referencing his serial number, but also the fact that everyone thinks he has a grand total of two braincells. he is often the main muscle people put into their plans, because he will follow the order and adapt to it as much as needed. he is a bit of a loud idiot sometimes, but he is unafraid of letting people know he doesn’t know what’s going on or what’s happening. twos would asked it explained to him so that he can fully understand the assignment, questions included. mostly? twos is constantly, unashamedly himself. he is also unassigned, so that could he up for plots!
ct - 1013 / brightly
brightly is the quietest among the group. he got his name since being a young cadet afraid of the dark. his brothers made fun of him often. and on a training expedition gone wrong, stuck in the darkness of a moon, brightly came with an idea. he rigged a bomb and threw it to go off as vibrantly and in the most distracting way possible to get everyone to safety. there, he was awarded for his quick thinking. but he doesn’t think he deserves it. he was just afraid of the dark… and he wanted light to shine brightly to make it go away. now he is esteemed with the title explosives expert. he is also unassigned!!

Turn Your Assets Into Cash Flow Power: How Business Asset Loans Can Fuel Your Business Growth
Imagine needing a cash flow jumpstart for your business, but traditional loans seem out of reach. That's where business asset loans come in – your secret weapon for growth. These loans leverage the very things that make your business tick – your assets – to unlock the capital you need.
Understanding Business Asset Loans: Your Asset Arsenal
Think of business asset loans as a way to borrow money using your assets, like inventory, equipment, even your building, as collateral. It's like saying to a lender, "Hey, I've got valuable stuff, and I'm willing to put it to work to get the cash I need to grow." Here's a breakdown:
Collateral Chest: You show the lender your assets – your "collateral chest" – which can be anything from raw materials to customer invoices to your office building.
Valuation Station: The lender then appraises your stuff to figure out how much it's worth. This will determine how much they're willing to lend you.
Loan Lowdown: Based on the value of your assets, the lender sets the loan terms, like interest rate and repayment schedule.
Exploring Your Asset-Based Lending Toolbox
There are different asset-based loans to fit your specific needs:
Receivables Rescue: Receivable financing strategies involve selling your outstanding invoices to a lender at a discount for immediate cash. This is great if you're waiting on slow-paying customers but need cash flow now.
Inventory to the Rescue: Inventory collateral loans let you use your stock as security for a loan. This is a lifesaver if you have a lot of inventory but low cash flow. It frees up cash without having to sell everything at once.
Upgrade Your Engine, Not Your Cash Flow: Equipment financing solutions allow you to acquire new equipment without a big upfront expense. You use the equipment itself as collateral, so you can modernize your operations without draining your cash reserves.
Building Your Business Castle: Commercial property loans leverage your real estate assets to secure funding. This is perfect for expanding your business or renovating your current space, all without a huge upfront investment.
Benefits of Business Asset Loans: The Liquidity Lifeline
Business asset loans are more than just a cash injection – they're liquidity improvement strategies. Here's how they can help your business thrive:
Cash Flow Cure: Get the money you need fast to cover expenses or invest in growth opportunities. It's like an instant financial boost to keep your business humming.
Flexibility Friend: Unlike traditional loans that focus on credit scores, asset-based loans look at your assets. This means even if your credit history isn't perfect, valuable assets can still get you the funding you need.
Growth Guru: As your business grows and you acquire more assets, you can potentially access even larger loans. It's like a built-in growth accelerator!
Unlocking Your Liquidity Potential
Here are some tips to maximize your use of business asset loans:
Diversify Your Financing Sources: Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Use a mix of asset-based loans and other financing methods to create a well-rounded financial strategy.
Know Your Assets, Inside and Out: Regularly monitor the value and condition of your assets to ensure they remain strong collateral.
Optimize Your Inventory: Don't let excess stock tie up your cash flow. Use inventory collateral loans to convert it into usable funds, freeing up resources for other areas.
Invest in Your Future: Leverage equipment financing to upgrade your machinery. Newer equipment can boost productivity and efficiency, leading to increased revenue, which ultimately improves your cash flow.
The Takeaway: Business Asset Loans - Your Key to Growth
Business asset loans can be a game-changer for businesses looking to improve their liquidity and fuel growth. By understanding the different types of asset-based lending options and how they work, you can unlock the capital you need to take your business to the next level. So, explore your asset toolbox, find the right fit for your needs, and turn your assets into powerful tools for business growth!
