Mantle
Early 1870s
This mantle appears to have been made from a wool shawl woven with broad bands of boteh motifs, originally with a central medallion now cut in half at the base of each side to fall attractively over arms in wear, and quarter medallions at each corner that are now placed at each side of the centre front and back of the garment.
Shawls striped with pattern, sometimes known as zebra shawls, were an alternative to the ubiquitous style of broad borders to a plain ground or central motif. Particularly popular from the 1820s to the 1860s they were produced by European manufacturers as well as the original Indian avid Kashmiri centres.

At Arrowhead Stadium | Kansas City, MO | September 24, 2023
New Era 'Womens Full Zip Windbreaker' - in store only
For reasons unknown Taylor took a jaunt to Kansas City to take in a sporting event. Taylor is familiar with this stadium having just been there in July during the Eras Tour.
New Era happens to be the main sponsor for NFL merchandise, but I'm sure the name appealed to Taylor regardless.
Worn with: Ralph Lauren hat, Jacquie Aiche earring, Dôen top, Louis Vuitton bag, Ksubi shorts, and New Balance sneakers

Fireman's Coat
Late 19th Century to Early 20th Century
Japan
Japanese firemen's coats are reversible. When fighting fires, the coat was worn as shown, together with close-fitting trousers, a hood, and gloves. Saturated with water, these garments gave protection against flames. A bold, legible pattern on the back identified the fireman’s brigade. For festive occasions, the pictorial side faced outward. This coat shows the Toad Spirit offering to teach the robber Jiraya magic, provided he used it only to benefit humanity.

"Fortnight" music video | April 19, 2024
Unttld 'Victor Ruffle Waxed Denim Jacket' - no longer available
There's so much to dissect in Tortured Poets and beyond into the new visuals for the "Fortnight" music video. Those thoughts, of course, to come. But off the top it feels apt to note the striking modernization of Victorian fashion on display with this piece, particularly of poet Emily Dickinson (Taylor's distant cousin - genealogy is wild). While Dickinson herself wore a lot of white (which as we've seen is TTPD's assigned eras colour), there's something to be said here about the similarity it strikes with the custom Teuta Matoshi dresses her backup dancers wear during "my tears ricochet" on the Eras Tour as they march behind her in a funeral procession. Equally, it calls to mind the somber wear of Victorian mourning clothes - widows would often wear black for two years.
This particular piece comes from Unttld's Fall 2021 collection, noted by the designer as a fulfillment of "19th century fantasy".
