Heyy uh. Quick question but why was Bobby and Kreese’s relationship apparently supposed to be even MORE fucked up than what we see in the final product. Touching the part of his body that he wants him to hurt?? Which is itself a simultaneous demonstration and threat??? The way Pat handles Ron here??? ,,, Mom can you come pick me up I’m scared

pat/the she her: didn't think you'd say yes, is all.
Today was the day. For months, she’d been staring across the coffee shop, watching the quiet boy who always took the back booth. They hadn’t exchanged more than a few words, but in fairness, he didn’t exchange more than a few words with anyone. He kept to himself, worked on his laptop, and had a ridiculously complicated order but always tipped so much that no one minded serving him.
But Clarke had been watching long enough. Today, she would introduce herself.
Because the thing was, sure, he was quiet. But she saw him: saw the way he tidied up his table before he left, saw the half-smiles he’d give when little kiddos came into the cafe, and saw how he’d stop typing whenever some guy was being a creep to a girl in the cafe, clearly ready to step in (though it never actually came to that).
Besides… He was cute.
She took a deep breath, gathered her courage, and crossed the room, stopping in front of his table. He paused, looking up at her with an unreadable expression, and she smiled.
“Hi! I’m Clarke.” She held out a hand, and after a heartbeat, he shook it. “We’ve both been coming here for awhile, and I thought I’d come introduce myself.” There. That wasn’t so hard. “Mind if I sit with you?”
He shrugged, gesturing to the seat across from him, and she blinked.
“Oh. Okay, thank you-I-let me just go get my stuff from over there.”
His brows furrowed, but before he could question it, she hurried back to her table. Wow, this was going… Better than anticipated, to say the least. Great. Now all she had to do was be friendly. She was good at that, at least.
When she came back, laptop and coffee in hand, and settled in across from him, he cleared his throat.
“Could’ve brought all that the first time. Would’ve saved you a trip.” There wasn’t a hint of judgment in his tone, just confusion, and irritatingly, her cheeks heated.
“Right, I just-I didn’t think you’d say yes, is all. Not that I thought you’d be mean,” she hurried to clarify, “It’s just. Normally you sit over here alone, and I kind of thought you might-”
“You’re pretty,” he interrupted, so matter-of-fact she didn’t quite know what to do with it. “And I like that you’re nice to people. Seen you around, too,” he added, and she couldn’t have stopped herself from smiling if she’d tried.
“Well, thank you.”
“Yep.”
Later, her friends would tease her about it. In ways she understood; it wasn’t quite the normal romantic meet-cute. But in that moment, she knew: she’d choose him for the rest of her life.

The Cobra Kai gang over the years
They're all really some of my best friends, all of the guys. We just had so much fun with it, all of the Cobra Kais. We hung out all of the time, went to lunch and dinner, and hung out on weekends. We kind of lived the parts. You kind of tend to do that, especially when you are younger. You just kind of get really into it and take it home with you. I’d go home and try my kicks out on my girlfriend or my friends and show them my new round kick. They are some of my best friends today. It was just a bunch of good people. [...] It was exciting thing to be on the set. It’s kind of like the high school or college experience, where you don’t even realize how good it is until you leave and then you look back and go, man we were so innocent then. You want to hang on to those friendships.

"MY WAY: The Life and Legacy of Pat Patterson"
He was a semi-openly gay man within professional wrestling. Publicly, he was secretive about his sexuality. He had a poor, sad, lonely upbringing until he was more successful his father accepted him more. But he didn't have much support from his family when he came out to them as a teenager in the late 50s. Had to leave home at 16.
He's been the subject of rumors and erroneous stories because of homophobia in wrestling and in society.
He was a talent and a genius for wrestling and helped so many wrestlers over 45-50 years throughout the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s all the way until his death in 2020. He was like 'required reading' for anyone dreaming to wrestle, he put on shows and matches that today are still unbelievable.
I think he's a good man. He's a hero.
