I had so much fun with Chad on this episode because he felt good like directing. He'd just written that flashback episode. Now he is directing like it felt like there was some momentum and when you've been on a show this long and, you've just been doing the same thing over and over again and no one trusts you to do more. That feels shitty. And so he, he was being trusted to do more. You guys were on deck to direct, like it felt like there was some momentum. -Hilarie

This is an interesting "make you choose."

Haley - This was hard. While I love Brooke's growth and who she becomes after high school, I did not always like her. I questioned some of Haley's decisions, but I always liked her, and I think she was a genuinely good person throughout.

Elijah - Disclaimer: I have not watched The Originals. I love the way Klaus is with Caroline, but he's chaotic and monstrous, like he's throwing tantrums, in TVD other than that. Elijah is calm, collected and monstrous (which is scarier imo), but he's also respectful and sophisticated.

Caroline/Tyler - I just don't like Stefan.

Leyton - Lucas and Peyton are my OTP. I like Naley well enough, but Lucas and Peyton are epic. To quote one of my other faves, Logan Echolls, "Spanning years and continents. Lives ruined, bloodshed. EPIC."

Dair - I love all things Blair. Period.

The O.C. - This one really depends on my mood. The O.C. is like a warm hug every episode. There's drama, but it doesn't overwhelm most of the time. The Cohens are just wholesome, and Ryan getting that life makes me happy. One Tree Hill is angsty ALL THE TIME, which is fine when I am not battling anxiety but not when I need comfort.

Luke - I love how he is with Lorelai and Rory, that he grudgingly loves Stars Hollow, and that he's always helping people even if he gripes about it.

One Tree Hill rant (opinions):

I love Peyton, she’s one of my favorite parts of the show. However the way she kept blocking out Haley when she came back from tour and treating her like shit because of her mistake that she was actively trying to make better was a next level form of hypocrisy. Peyton almost full blown slept with Lucas while her best friend was dating him (at least Chris didn’t know Nathan) not to mention later in the season she kisses him again??? (Yes they thought they were going to die, specifically her, but it doesn’t change what she did) so she was the contributing factor of her best friends boyfriend cheating twice and she was fully prepared to lie about it and never be honest with brooke TWICE and got mad at Lucas both times he told her. They both did really horrible things, so the hypocritical cold shoulder is SO unnecessary and honestly annoying.

Rewatching OTH and I finally, fully realized that Lucas Scott is the dumbest character on TV.

And maturing is realizing that Peyton was never wrong to “turn down” his proposal because girlie didn’t even turn him down! she just asked for more time cause she wasn’t ready for marriage (the dude didn’t even know her well enough to assume that she might not want that at that moment) and Lucas wasn’t willing to give that to her and jumped into stupid conclusions.

It hurts to see how throughout the whole season Peyton beats herself up for saying not now because it implies that she made a mistake. When she actually didn’t.
