So someone I use to know, @darkdraygoon, who doesn't really use Tumblr anymore, found this using their laptop. It only appears when they scrolled over that one bobble on the tree.
"I did not know what to do. I think I am correct. Is it Homewarming where you are? Happy Homewarming."
It would seem that in the neighborhood of Home, their Christmas/Yule/holiday of your choice from this time of year is called Homewarming. It's nice of Wally, or whomever. They wished us a "Happy Homewarming" but also mention 'not knowing what to do' and 'thinking they are correct'. It's also interesting to note the fact of using a created holiday for the neighborhood not only lines up with classic children's puppet shows that tried to be inclusive but seems significant in the world itself.
I feel confident in saying that it is Wally (or whomever has been speaking through the scroll-over text) and not the WHRP team as there is no new update on the corresponding page:
Tumblr media
The most current post from WHRP is about the, at the time, upcoming Halloween update of the site.
Going all around the website I found more answers to the commands we have been receiving.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am grouping these three together as they were very basic commands. "Write Hello" to which Wally has now written just that. "Write 'OK'." to which he has rearranged all the banners to do so. And then "Turn The Playfellow Exhibition upside down" to which the title of that page is now just that. But here is the one that has my interest the most. On Sally's page in the neighborhood we were told to "Reverse this image of Sally". But this is her page now.
Tumblr media
We are seeing the back of the curtain, the exact thing that was behind her before. To compare:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
((edit: due to me having made and posted this at 2 in the morning, I had used the wrong version of Sally's original image. I have now corrected that.))
((edit2: look in the reblogs for my reblog. More theories and discoveries in it.))

Welcome Home Answer Video Playfellow Workshop’s History Theory:
I'm thinking about the answer videos hidden in the Welcome Home website and after watching them all in order several times, I'm starting to wonder if there is a hidden story that's being told metaphorically by each of the neighbours. I'm thinking if you string it together in a certain way it may reveal the history of the Playfellow Workshop history.
So, here's a list of my impressions on each of the videos and how they could reflect on the workshop's history:
Video 1: Poppy is knitting some clothes for all the neighbours, so they don't get cold. Howdy comes along with supplies and a new device that should make knitting much easier. My interpretation: A small team is just working on some small puppet projects. Just to have some fun or provide entertainment for a small community. They get help to make their project easier to produce and their company grows.
Video 2: Sally and Poppy and working on coming up with a cake for a play. Sally emphasizes that it needs to be big and bold. Poppy isn't sure about it and asks about details like what flavor Sally wants. My interpretation: The company is big enough to start getting into some serious show business and the team working on trying to figure out what kind of show they want how to make it work.
Video 3: Sally visits Howdy's shop and is persuaded to get some new (questionable food). My interpretation: The company is able to get some sponsorships, most likely through advertisements. And also I think this is some lore that reveals that the puppets can eat things that would be inedible to humans.
Video 4: Barnaby is critiquing Frank's garden, arguing over the blue flowers and how 'blue's all the rage nowadays'. Frank dismisses him, wanting only to garden the flowers as they are in peace. Barnaby points out he gonna have to do a lot more if his flowers are gonna grow big and strong and then proceeds to torment Frank with puns. Frank point out to Wally that his jokes can be a bit much at times. My interpretation: Two members of Playfellow are discussing about the future of their company. Their shows are getting stale and they need something to really capture the audience's attention. Barnaby may also represent a really important figure in the company, like a co-founder or something. The other members find him annoying but put up with his jokes anyway. Video 5: Eddie stops to talk to Wally after running around all day, delivering mail. Barnaby really needs his kazoos. My interpretation: The company's become even more busy to keep up with the demands of their show productions.
Video 6: Frank tells Julie about how his tomatoes are getting eaten by beetles and they joke about each other in a friendly manner. My interpretation: The company's shows is either starting to get hit with some criticism by the public or some of their production value is deteriorating. Puppets take a lot of maintenance to keep up appearances and they may be feeling the strain of it.
Video 7: Julie and Eddie are playing a game of working for a company, with Julie being the president. Julie's riding on Eddie about the growth of their business and how he needs to step up. Julie gets a call from Barnaby they they're all out of office supplies and Julie is distraught that they are out of business. Eddie then hands the phone to Wally, saying he has a call. My interpretation: Playfellows is not doing good and may be on the very edge of bankruptcy. They're out of budget and can't make enough sales to pick themselves back up. One of the important figures in the company makes a call that changes everything to try to save the company
Video 8: Eddie calls Frank over to deal with a beetle problem that's sending his whole office in an upheaval. "A bug, a critter, a guest, a neighbor-! -Whatever it is, it’s upheavin’ my whole post office! Just look at what it’s done with the paper chains!" Eddie isn't even sure what it is. Frank is unbothered by it, sarcastically saying how lovely it made the paper chains and should be hired. Frank shows the beetle is nothing to be scared of so long as you treat it nice. My Interpretation: Wally enters the show. A living puppet. Something that's unnatural. Some of the coworkers at Playfellow are freaked out by him and don't like him messing with their things. However, one senior member, shows that Wally is harmless if a little strange.
Video 9: Frank and Poppy is talking about trying out new recipes using gelatin and special moulds. Poppy is concerned they wont be very appealing. Franks says he wishes butterflies were more fond of seeds and muffins, otherwise he would have been able to save his garden. Poppy's not sure how to tell if a butterfly is happy or not. They are also finished with an 'experiment' and Poppy frets over the danger of dealing with such dangerous appliances. "No, no, no! Don’t get yourself started, Poppy! I would rather be careful than throw caution to the wind anyhow! Besides, we’re safe and sound here… Wouldn’t you agree, Wally?" (Im not so sure, Frank.) My interpretation: Now some interesting things are happening >>; They are now creating 'new' puppets and perhaps conducting experiments with them. Figuring how what they eat, what they like, and how they can mould them into what they want.
Video 10: Sally and Julie are practising a new play and Julie keeps going off script. They mention a sad story about how the King of Cake gets eaten by a Broccoli monster and 'the princess' defeats the monster and comes back to become Queen of Pastries, making all sorts of strange decrees as new ruler. My interpretation: The puppets tend to go off script and do their own thing and it makes some of the Playfellow staff frustrated trying to work with them in order to keep the show making sense. The 'King of Cake' getting eaten by a monster also feels like a very ominous thing to add to the script >> Possible blood sacrifices or murder happening within the company perhaps? Also Julie really likes Breen.
Video 11: Julie and Barnaby are arguing about how she thinks she is capable of being funny but Barnaby keeps teasing her about how she's not. My interpretation: Some of the previous puppeteers feel like they're being replaced by these new puppets and and perhaps are being forced to leave the company to find new jobs since their talents aren't appreciated anymore. That or some of the puppets don't know how to land a joke. (I personally thought Julie's joke was cute)
Video 12: Howdy is talking to Barnaby about some family drama that's going on in his life. Some infighting that going on between his cousins, aunts and uncles. My interpretation: There are members of the company (which has gotten pretty big at this point) that are upset about being pushed out of the limelight to make way for the new puppets or for being overworked and abused. The ones in charge see them as just not working hard enough or not doing better to earn better pay/treatment within the company. Some members straight up leave to join other company's instead. But the owners aren't concerned and are just happy that Playfellows is a huge success again and are just enjoying the benefits of it.
Video 13: Eddie delivers a parcel to Howdy and Howdy is rather apathetic to Eddie's struggles. Even as he struggles to carry a whole box of bowling balls. My interpretation: There's just contempt within the company. And the people in charge don't care about the employees. And there may be some emotional abuse going on with the puppets as well.
Video 14 (final): Barnaby is talking to Home about how Julie bad at jokes and can come up with way better ones than her. Home expresses doubt about that. And then shares the other stuff he's been up to today, including talking to Howdy about his family and teasing Eddie about chasing the mailman. He's upset he didn't get his kazoos, even after harassing poor Eddie. "Yeah, yeah, real funny! A poor little guy like me deserves some sympathy! A clown without a kazoo is like… Like an artist without his paintbrush! Go on kid, tell ‘em!". Barn then notices something is off with Wally and asks if he's alright. My interpretation: Barnaby, to me, seems to be strongly implied to represent one of the co-founders of Playfellows. You can tell by his tone he talks as if he knows what's best for everyone and even acts patriarchal about Julie and her jokes. Which I think tells us about what the co-founder was like as a person. He also gives me the sense that he's got some insecurities about himself and his company. He wants to be liked and wants his show to be seen as something great. But probably because of how the company may be falling apart on the inside, he's having some doubts and leans heavily on Wally to be the puppet to keep the show going. But Wally's... Not doing so good.
I feel like there was also be a lot more sketchy stuff going on inside the company as it grew and once the 'other' puppets became involved. But I think we won't know for sure until more secrets come out.
Those are my thoughts on Welcome Home for now. May post more theories/opinions in the future. Feel free to tell me what you guys think or if you have your own theories on the matter.

Hey, so yesterday I was deciding on renovating the Playfellow Workshop logo to be more 70's-ish because last time I felt like I made it was abit too 80's.
Here it is, the brand new logo!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the old one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can say, the redo is abit inspired by the NET 'house' logo and the Children's Television Workshop logo. But nonetheless, I'm proud of the results I did here.

i wanted to share something goofy i did!! 💞
this is my welcome home oc, daisy!! she was originally intended to be wally’s partner, but ultimately the show runners decided that giving wally a love interest wasn’t necessary and she was repurposed into different characters. however, she lives on, Somewhere!! as evidenced by this audio recently uncovered somewhere within the playfellow workshop!!! 👁️
i’ve wanted to share daisy for a little while but it always felt so nerve wracking, i hope people enjoy her and want to know lots about her! 💘💞💖💞💘

Welcome Home brain rot is so absolutely real and it has taken over, so here’s my random pile of theories atm:
The overarching backstory:
Odd things start happening around the Playfellow studio and the characters (especially Wally) start to show signs of awareness beyond scripted 4th wall breaks. Staff gets weirded out by the thought of sentient puppets and the producer basically says “better safe than sorry” and cancels the entire show, destroying sets and the puppets themselves afterwards. (This would explain the art of Julie with the Thing™️ behind her holding a mallet ((also explains why there is so little evidence of the show remaining))).
Wally being sentient on the website:
Wally’s puppet and Home’s set piece are still intact somewhere and act as their anchors to reality. Wally can “project” his consciousness into any image of himself, including those on the Welcome Home Restoration page, which is how he can communicate with us via the guestbook and STARING straight at us. Wally can also communicate with Home, as shown in that one gif of him… praying(?) to one of Home’s window eyes.
Wally being… weird…:
His show was cancelled and his friends were destroyed. He has been alone with Home for 50+ years with only his house to communicate with. He’s been without a viewer to paint and talk with for so long; he’s bound to be at least a little unhinged.
The phone:
Acts as Wally and Home’s last audio connection with the outside world; it is EXTREMELY important to them.
Feel free to add anything I missed or share your own theories in the comments ❤️💛💙

This is gonna sound weird, but I've had this headcannon about Wally Darling for a while, and I would've added it to the WH headcannon list, but there's so much detail I want to go into that I'd rather just make this a separate post.
Imagine if you will:
Wally Darling is obsessed with death. No, not in like a creepy way. And not the way a serial killer would be. He just simply has a special interest for death.
If you ask him how he got this special interest, he'll say he doesn't remember. But he will tell you why it's so interesting to him.
He won't be $uiçï/ðæł or anything, but he'll be giddy thinking about how he's gonna die (he loves surprises), and he'll often talk about different ways people can die and where we think we go when we die, etc.
He only really tells this to Barnaby though because everyone else isn't comfortable discussing death the way Wally does. Barnaby understands that Wally's just really passionate. I mean, you wouldn't be able to tell how passionate he is, but Barn can, and that's all that matters.
Wally often finds himself planning his funeral, like he's planning a birthday party, even going as far as calling it his big day.
Despite how weird his special interest is, and how uncomfortable it makes most of tge neighbors, they can't deny that it's nice to see Wally so passionate about something. He sees the beauty in everything, even death. He knows that it'll happen to everyone, and he just wants to live his life to the fullest. He would be devastated if his neighbors died, but he would still be happy knowing he got to enjoy their life along with them.

I was looking up random parts of what we know about Playfellow to see if there's anything we can get and...this seems interesting.
Keep in mind I haven't seen Nightmind's videos (they're too long and I don't like livestreams) or any if at all Welcome Home theory videos, so I don't know if this has been brought up at all or not.
Idk, depending on how big Playfellow was, I think a recession would at least factor into them closing.
