It was a dull, rainy morning as Ganondorf ate the breakfast the servants provided. He didn’t mind Hyrule’s food all that much, but they could certainly stand to add some more spices to it. One thing was for certain – when he took over Hyrule, he would ensure the food improved.

Sighing, he sipped at his milk when he heard what sounded like stomping the next room over. Still half asleep, he stared blearily at the doorway for a moment before slowly rising and peeking through. Hemisi was in the other room, making strange movements that could pass for dancing. She stomped her feet in rhythm while moving her arms in a coordinated fashion, jabbing one way into the earth and then the other, all while whispering a count to keep tempo. When she did a small turn, her hands moving upward, she jumped nearly to the ceiling when she saw her father.

Ganondorf stared at her dully. “What are you doing?”

“I-I—” she stammered before gaining her confidence back. “I’m practicing a dance Orik taught me. It’s a traditional Sheikah dance and I wanted to do it with him.”

“You have better ways to be spending your time,” Ganondorf noted, somewhat annoyed. “Such as eating breakfast.”

Hemisi rolled her eyes. “Father, quit being like that. I can do my duties and have fun with my boyfriend.”

“You should be thankful I let you have a boyfriend,” Ganondorf grumbled, heading back towards the table. Hemisi’s snort of disapproval was not missed, but he chose to ignore it.

He was afforded a few minutes of peace, eating at his food and steadily coming to life (the rainy weather certainly did not help) when he heard his daughter yelp and a gasp and thud. More alert, he rose sharply and quickly made his way into the room.

Hemisi was on the ground. On top of Orik. Who was giggling. The pair stared at each other, Orik’s arms wrapped around Hemisi while she started to chuckle in response despite the flush to her cheeks. The Sheikah boy’s red eyes traced beyond her, seeming to sense someone else, and they widened three times their size when they caught sight of Ganondorf.

Especially since he was fuming.

Orik scrambled out from under Hemisi, who immediately started to rise and move to his defense, “Father, it was an accident—”

Orik bolted out the door, and Ganondorf was on his heels. Hemisi tore down the hallway behind them. Due to the boy’s small steps, he couldn’t outrun the Gerudo king for long, though it looked like he was ready to resort to magic to escape him. Ganondorf grabbed him by the upper arms, squeezing him and raising him off the ground, leaving the teenager’s feet dangling helplessly.

“Father,” Hemisi hissed, grabbing Ganondorf by the arm. “Stop it. I was practicing the dance and lost my balance. Orik caught me and made sure I didn’t hit my head on the furniture. Will you stop being so dumb?!”

Orik, for his part, looked suitably terrified and apologetic. He also didn’t make a sound to defend himself.

Ganondorf sighed heavily, dropping the teenager. “I don’t recall inviting you to our quarters.”

“Forgive me, my lord,” Orik muttered, eyes boring into the floor.

Hemisi scoffed, shoving past her father and holding Orik around the wrist. “You don’t need his invitation. You can come by whenever. We’re dating.”

“He does need it, actually,” Ganondorf said with some gravity to his tone. This was not something he was going to debate. He admired his daughter’s passion and confidence, but he was not letting this boy run around freely in his area without his permission. The boy, despite his clear affection for Hemisi, was still loyal to the royal family. Ganondorf wasn’t foolish enough to leave any kind of incriminating evidence here, but he wasn’t taking chances.

Hemisi recognized the cadence of his words, the gravity to them. She looked ready to debate the matter anyway, but Orik interrupted her. “As the husband to the chief of the Gerudo, it is his call to do so, Hemisi. Forgive me, my lord.”

Hemisi bit her lip, irritated. Ganondorf let out a breath, less agitated. Orik shifted uneasily, trying to appease both parties. At least the boy understood protocol.

A small part of Ganondorf really did hope the two married. At least one of his children would be obedient, then. Merovar was certainly better than Hemisi, but the boy’s aspirations and desire for power sometimes made him foolish... and defiant.

He didn’t want to lose face in front of his daughter, so he dismissed her. Growing steadily more furious, Hemisi glared at him before marching back to the Gerudo quarters, leaving the two men alone.

“Hemisi was practicing some dance of yours,” Ganondorf commented, watching the boy. “I trust you can do it more gracefully than her.”

Orik glanced up at him, bewildered before coughing to cover a laugh.

Ganondorf found some cheer from the boy’s amusement, adding, “If she can learn your dances then you better be certain you’ll learn ours.”

“I recall the one from my visit,” Orik replied. “Though, that was the only one I learned.”

“We have plenty,” Ganondorf said, waving a hand. “Perhaps Hemisi can teach you one this evening. If you’re available for dinner and staying after.”

Orik’s eyes brightened as he watched him with hope and happiness. The boy nodded, bowing, and Ganondorf walked away.

Honestly, these teenagers.

Thinking about a “triforce swap au” where Link end up getting the triforce of power and being the bad guy, but I do not specially want him to take Ganondorf role.

Well of course he have Ganondorf role but I do not want him to have the same archetype of “proud, charismatic dark lord” but a different flavor of bad guy.

In a way he wouldn’t be too different from his botw/totk version, a survivor who can stay days in the wilderness without drinking and eating much (unless he need to heal fast), who constantly wander all around Hyrule and fight the toughest of monsters for sports.

But instead of being a nice, heroic guy who show up at random places to help people with their random request he is a freaking unhinged, feral and terryfing cryptid who show up at random places to be a menace to anyone and everyone including himself some time.

Post-Totk Link is still plagued with nightmares of the Light Dragon, Gloom Hands, Phantom Ganon...Puppet Zelda...loneliness.

He wakes up at night screaming, hyperventilating, sobbing. But Zelda is there and she comforts him with love, kindness and patience! Like Link did for her Post-Botw.

It's gonna take time...but Link is gonna be fine ♥ Zelda too.

Unicorns are actually a species closer to deer than horses, with the horn actually being a pair of antlers that spiral around each other. Usually this results in a tight coil that can harness the magic in the world around them.

Hero of Power & Hero of Shadow

Q&A for some of my OC Links! :D mainly just to help me parse out their differences for everyone’s edification ❤️

Who are the Hero of Power and the Hero of Shadow? Well, they’re the same character! Just like AoC and BotW have the same Link, but they live in parallel timelines. (AoC Link’s backstory—like how he gets the Master Sword—differs from canon backstory for botw Link, ergo they’re parallel timelines) Power lives in the Calamity Timeline, where Hyrule Warriors and Age of Calamity exist, while Shadow lives in the disaster canon timeline.

How are they alike? They’re both half-Sheikah/half-Hylian, they both grew up in Sheikah culture, they have very similar personalities from the get go, though differing circumstances shapes them differently. They look the same at the same age too. They both are heavily involved with both the royal family of Hyrule and the royal family of the Gerudo - they help protect the Hyrule royal family (tho they’re not personally close to the reigning monarchs in their teenage years), and they both date Ganondorf’s daughter, Hemisi, and are both engaged to her and grow close to her family. They were both 15 when war broke out.

How do their stories differ? Shadow met Hemisi a few years before Power, and the two got engaged before the Imprisoning War, allowing him to get really close to her and her family. Power was dating Hemisi before the Imprisoning War, but didn’t get engaged with her until during. Speaking of the war, Shadow died during the war, which only lasted a few months. Power survived, having fought in the war for two years. He goes on to live a fairly long life after that. Also, Power had a piece of the Triforce while the Triforce isn’t utilized at all in Shadow’s era. Power used the Master Sword and lived in an era that was very aware of the legends of the Hero, whereas Shadow did not use the sword and was just the guy who stepped up to fight and was one of the best warriors for the job.

A fun fact about both of them! They honor their Hylian background, but they were predominantly raised Sheikah. As such, they follow its customs and rules. One Sheikah custom during their eras was that there was no age of adulthood - it was about passing certain trials. Both Links passed their trials at age 12, making them adults in the eyes of the Sheikah.

A fun fact about Power! He was among the first Sheikah to use guardian weapons, and he encourages Sheikah technology to advance once he marries Zelda and becomes king consort. His encouragement and sponsorship is what leads to the guardians and towers and the Divine Beasts.

A fun fact about Shadow! His first kill was a stealth assassination/hit mission when he was 14. The king, who had been keeping a close eye on the Gerudo, learned of a possible attack and sent Link to handle it. Shadow found the team of three women and eliminated them before they could ever get close to the castle. Gan & Nabooru claim the women were rebels so they got off with their hands clean, and Shadow never says he’s the one to kill them, but Ganondorf suspects it’s the case.

Go to either fandom tag or your ships tag, (if you're doing fandom tag you have to add your ship in the 'relationship' section),go to fliters (mobile) or the right hand side (desktop), go to the 'search within results' area and put in otp:true just like that click 'sort and filter' And it'll pull up all fics with just your otp.

(EDIT: if you wanna do this but still have other parings try otp:false instead of otp:true)

"I wanna sort by _____ not 'Date updated'"

Go to 'filters' or right, theirs a drop down and you can change it to 'author' 'title' 'date posted' ect their are more options. Pick one, click 'sort and filter'

"I don't wanna see /reader"

Filter or Right, go to 'search within results' type in -/reader like that, click 'sort and filter'. No more /reader

"I don't want explicit works"

You know where we're going Right or filter. 'Exclude' section. 'Ratings' click the box that says 'explicit'

Obviously if people don't tag shit correctly it's not gonna work but yeah you just gotta learn how the tagging works. For better tutorials go to TikTok and search 'ao3 tutorials' you can do just about everything.

another cool thing about the season 2 finale is that it confirmed (for me at least) that the way Lu Guang acted at the end of ep 7/beginning of ep 8 was 100% HIM and not Cheng Xiaoshi acting for him

like the whole theory that was that this COULDN'T be Lu Guang
