My favourite “problematic” trope is when you’ve got two characters who are obsessively and possessively in love to the point where they find a deep sentimental romance in all the blood, sweat and tears they shed together. The kind of couple who will kill for each other in order to stay together because they would rather die than be apart, even if one character has slightly better morals that causes conflict in the couple yet they can’t stay away from each other. I want that intense must have you always energy in my ships. You are my world kind of energy but literally. The hold my face in the rain as it washes away the blood and kiss me like you might never get a chance again kind of dark romance.

Hey there, Beifong family enthusiast!
Who's your favorite Beifong? And who do you ship them with?
First of all, I already love you to the 'yue' and back for this ♡ Ty, I'm virtually holding your hand rn!
"Who's your favorite Beifong?" Now that.. requires a huge @$$ long answer, babe! Grab a coffee and seat down. ☕️ — I have three different answers to this, organized by category, because I can't simply just choose one Beifong, so.. ◇ My favorite based on "emotional attachment" is definitely Suyin (kinda of an unpopular choice). I simply can't help but love every aspect of her, she's so beautiful, bright and collected - I love how against all odds she overcame her traumas the healthiest way she could, rebuilt her whole life, never gave up on reconnecting with the people she loved and missed after all, etc. I have an immense amount of respect for her - she's the personification of growth, maturity and forgiveness. And I love that for her for many reasons! Her adult self reminds me a bit of Sokka in a way, that probably helped to establish my "emotional attachment" towards her as well! ◇ My favorite based on "complexity and strength" would be obviously Lin. Lin is the character I validate and understand the most too, I enjoy analyzing her whole story and personality. I'm a Psychology student, so it makes sense to me that I loved her instantly and so much (apart from being a Toph seed), she was presented to us as the typical tough character ofc but I was amazed how many layers she turned out to have, how profound and complicated her traumas, choices and path turned out to be. I love and respect Lin for reasons that are completely different from Su (they are completely opposites). Lin's psychological strength (physical too, ofc), courage and endlessly emphaty always get me. I would fight anyone just to protect her! ◇ And of course, my number one girl.. Ultimate Favorite in the entire franchise.. the ORIGINAL Beifong; TOPH!! I don't even think I need to explain myself on this one, do I?? Everything I listed about her daughters comes from Toph Beifong and even her imperfections are kinda perfect to me, she is one of the most brilliant characters in the franchise hand down. In fact I believe their daughters inherited a lot of Toph's values, beliefs and characteristics. They are her legacy in a way, probably part of the reason I love them so much too. But anyways.
That's my favorite Beifong; TophLinSu!♡
"And who do you ship them with?" That's piece of cake! For Su; Suyin/Baatar Sr. ◇ For Lin; Linzin & Kyalin, maybe Linzumi too — I do think Lin & Tenzin are soulmates who could never be though (This is actually a can of worms, 'cause I have A LOT to say regarding this entire ship!). ◇ And for Toph; Tokka yesterday, Tokka today and Tokka for always!♡ I can't actually picture Toph with anyone else, for some reason. I tried (with her other love interests and all).. But It's just not it for me. Kanto we've never even seen & Satoru was more of a simp - nothing against it but it kills the mood for me that he's a fanboy who'd spend their whole relationship praising her & kissing the ground she steps on, not into that for Toph (or any human being) in a relationship. — While with Sokka (even tho it was just a childhood crush & he was a bit older) I think they were a perfect match for a future relationship; They were opposites in the right amount, but also pretty similar (in terms of sense of humor and some values). I love how they completed each other in their dynamic, how Sokka was so kind, supportive and understanding - they had a real profound bond and he was always offering to help her out (if needed) or trying to protect her, even tho she hated to be treated like that; he was her exception. And Toph genuinely respected him (jokes apart) & would consider his opinions, even embracing his stupid ideas. It was simple and sweet. Not to mention the fact that Sokka would never pick fights with her (not that I remember), whenever Katara would ask him to intervene in their fights he'd be like "Nah, leave me out of this" and I do think that that's what intrigued Toph, he would listen to her & validate her feelings since Day 1. Then we cut to TLOK; at Yakone's trial when Sokka is giving that sentenced speech and start praising Toph for developing the Metalbending skill by herself; his facial expression immediately changes to something more affectionate (genuinely smiling at her), then Old Toph telling Korra about when she taught Aang earthbending and feeling the need to mention what happened to Sokka that day (should've been insignificant, but she kept that memory from that day) and then Suyin & Lin's small details or characteristics that were related to Sokka in ATLA (Like their usage of adapted metal swords to fight, Su's collection of meteorites, how Sokka was always praising Toph for inventing the Metalbending and later Su building a whole city out of it where Toph's achievement would be praised and immortalized for once and all, not to mention Su & some members of the family looking like Sokka, I'm pretty sure that was purposely done by the creators in a way to keep Sokka's design, idk & it makes me the happiest that it was done in the Beifong family). It's impossible not to acknowledge the impact Sokka had on Toph, they truly loved each other and loved being around each other. Romantically or not, canon or not - it's impossible for me not to ship them.♡

On Kazuya's and Jun's Love Languages
I really love this ship with all my heart like I think I shipped them way before I have known what shipping meant. It's so frustrating that we really don't know much about their relationship and dynamic in canon but I can't help but wonder what they would've been like as a couple >.<
For me, personally, I really do think that Kazuya and Jun are both suckers on Quality Time. I feel like once they felt their attraction to the other, they kept longing to be in each other's presence, and at first Kaz was probably like "I just have to know more about her because she's mysterious." and shit like that like hunny, just say you're crushing on her 😩
Jun probably thought the same like "I need to be in his presence because of the darkness that surrounds him." Just say he's hot and you wanna date him, girl.
When they do hang out together, they make the most out of their time and just really let themselves get lost in the moment. It probably also supports that no matter how short the KOIFT 2 was, it was enough quality time for them to bond with each other enough for them to fall in love or get closer to one another or however viewers wanna interpret it (as we wait for tk8 to confirm wth happened between them in tk2).
Kazuya's secondary love language - I think I'm leaning mostly on Acts of Service. He probably isn't aware because he just thinks he's doing people a favor, but unconsciously, it's his way to show that he cares about the people he values. Like that man helped Bruce seek refuge after the plane crash and fake his death so he doesn't get caught by interpol. Hell he even granted Anna her request of being put in cryo sleep.
Doing acts of service to express his love for Jun was probably the most convenient and easiest way he could ever express how much he cares about her. Other love languages are just too explicit so he mostly tries to reason to himself that 'he's just doing Jun a favor' but it's probably him doing his best to get the message across that he truly values her so he's willing to do such things for her.
I can just imagine Jun having a bad day, and Kaz, being the man that he is who sucks with speaking comforting words and probably never initiated physical affection to anyone, gets up from his seat and goes "I'll show you some of the floras in the Mishima Estate garden since you love ecology so much." and then hopes she'll feel better. "I'll go get Lee to fix those papers you need for your work." or maybe even when they're sparring, Kazuya would always be the one to get her a bottle of water and a towel to wipe her sweat off with, since Jun is probably out of breath and needs more time to recover.
Jun's secondary love language - Words of Affirmation. Have ya'll just seen the sappiest ass shit she says to Kazuya in her tk8 intros and outros and even in Tekken Motion Picture like girlie has a helluva lot to say and she is so valid so let her speak 🗣️
Tekken Bloodline (tho non canon ugh) also kinda portrays Jun being comforting with words with the way she talks to Jin after his encounter with the bullies. Jun is seen as having some kind of profound sense of wisdom which enables her to empathize and feel people due to her being psychic and also spending most of her time during childhood getting in touch with nature. So I think with that, she always has the right words to say, and she knows exactly how to put into words how much she cares for a person. Plus she's an INFJ (lol).
Kazuya probably wouldn't have let her in his life had Jun not said the right words upon meeting him. Kazuya being in such a powerful position during TK2 had him surrounded with people who only spoke of deceit and lies to get to his good side and all that, and seeing how genuine Jun was with her words and how much it deeply soothed some of his inner wounds may have deepened the way he saw her. Thus, they became closer.
I do like to think that even though Jun is good with her words, she never really got the guts to outright say I love you to Kazuya 😩 I think she be too shy and bashful for that but argh with a little bit more of delulu to the ship, maybe I can convince myself that she did. Objectively speaking really, I don't think she could ever have said it during TK2.
Honorable mentions to Jun's secondary love language - Physical touch. Like idkkkkk, probably just me but I think I got it from somewhere that her tk8 outro literal translation kinda says she wants to snuggle up to Kazuya, and that is just so sweet 😩 im crying
Just a few two cents on them really :>>

In the vibrant heart of Pandora's mystical landscape, where the intertwining vines reached for the sky and the forest hummed with life, the legacy of Jake Sully had continued to flourish. His daughter, Kiri, had grown up amidst the harmony of nature and the stories of her father's adventures among the Na'vi. She possessed the same spirit of adventure that had defined her father, her bright blue eyes reflecting the wonder of the world around her.
By the time Kiri had reached her teenage years, the threads of fate began to weave her life together with another. An arranged marriage had been set in motion, connecting her with a young Na'vi woman named (Y/N). Like Kiri, (Y/N) carried a sense of purpose and wisdom that belied her years. Their union, born of tradition and fate, had been marked when they were just fourteen cycles old.
Now, as they both stood on the cusp of adulthood in their early twenties, their bond had deepened beyond what anyone could have predicted. The ties that had bound them since childhood had grown into something profound and unbreakable, shaping their identities and guiding their futures.
Amidst the lush landscape, Kiri and (Y/N) stood beneath the towering trees. Sunlight danced through the leaves, casting a golden glow on their figures. Kiri's thoughts were as turbulent as the river's current, torn between the weight of tradition and the desires of her heart.
"(Y/N)," Kiri began tentatively, her voice carrying a mixture of anxiety and hope, "we've come so far together. Our lives have been intertwined since we were children, and now we're at a crossroads."
(Y/N) turned her gaze towards Kiri, her eyes reflecting the serenity of the forest around them. "Kiri, our lives have been shaped by the choices of those who came before us. But we also have the power to shape our own future."
Kiri nodded, her father's lessons echoing in her mind. Jake Sully had been an outsider who had become a part of the Na'vi, finding a home and family among them. His story had taught her that destiny could be molded through determination and love. She looked at (Y/N) with newfound resolve.
"(Y/N), you're right. Our bond is a testament to the strength of our connection. And just as my father embraced his destiny, we too can choose to embrace ours."
(Y/N) smiled warmly, understanding the weight of the decision they were about to make. "Kiri, let us not forget the love that has blossomed between us. If our hearts are aligned, then our path is clear."
As the sun began its descent, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, Kiri and (Y/N) found themselves standing on the threshold of a new beginning. The forest seemed to hold its breath, honoring the significance of their choice. With hearts intertwined and a shared history of love and growth, they stepped forward, hand in hand.
Their journey was one that held both uncertainty and promise, a journey they were ready to embrace. As the echoes of their footsteps mingled with the symphony of nature, Kiri and (Y/N) were united by the strength of their love and the knowledge that the path they chose was uniquely their own.
The soft glow of twilight filtered through the leaves, casting a warm ambience within Kiri and (Y/N)'s cozy Na'vi hut. The aroma of the evening meal filled the air as the two sat across from each other at the wooden table, their eyes meeting in a familiar dance of affection and comfort.
Kiri picked at her food, the vibrant colors of the vegetables a stark contrast to her contemplative expression. Finally, she took a deep breath and looked up at (Y/N). "You know, (Y/N), I've been thinking about our future."
(Y/N)'s eyes sparkled with curiosity as she put her utensils down, her attention fully on Kiri. "Our future? What's been on your mind?"
Kiri hesitated for a moment, her heart pounding in her chest. She took another breath and spoke softly, "Children. I've been thinking about bringing children into our lives."
A warm smile crossed (Y/N)'s lips, her eyes softening with affection. "Children would be a beautiful addition to our journey, Kiri. But, you know, given that we're both females, there's something we need to consider..."
Kiri nodded, her own smile tinged with understanding. "(Y/N), I've thought about that too. And while we might not be able to have children in the traditional sense, there are other ways we can build a family. Adoption is one option."
(Y/N)'s uncertainty seemed to melt away as she listened to Kiri's words. A mixture of relief and hope filled her gaze. "You'd be open to adoption?"
"Absolutely," Kiri replied earnestly. "Love doesn't have to be bound by blood. We can create a home filled with warmth, support, and a sense of belonging. And if there's one thing I've learned from my father's stories, it's that family is about the connections we choose to nurture."
(Y/N)'s eyes glistened with emotion, and she reached across the table to take Kiri's hand. "You're right, Kiri. Love is the foundation of family, and I want nothing more than to share that love with our children, however they come into our lives."
Kiri's heart swelled with affection as she squeezed (Y/N)'s hand. "I knew you'd understand. And together, we'll find a way to navigate this journey. Whether through adoption or other means, we'll build a family that's uniquely ours."
With a gentle smile, (Y/N) nodded in agreement. "I'm grateful to have you by my side, Kiri. Your unwavering support and love mean everything to me."
“But…what was the other option?” (Y/n) asked.
“I’m still working on that part,” laughs kiri.
As the evening breeze rustled the leaves outside, Kiri leaned across the table and planted a soft kiss on (Y/N)'s cheek. "Goodnight, (Y/N). Our journey to building a family has only just begun, and I can't wait to see where it takes us."
(Y/N)'s heart fluttered at Kiri's affectionate gesture. She returned the kiss with a warm smile. "Goodnight, Kiri. Here's to the future we're creating together."
As the moonlight cast its gentle glow upon their hut, Kiri and (Y/N) shared a moment filled with promise and love. With each passing day, they knew that their bond would continue to guide them, leading them down a path that was uniquely their own.
The next day, with the sun rising over Pandora's vibrant landscape, Kiri's determination was unshaken. She and (Y/N) walked together towards the human lab, a place that held both curiosity and apprehension for them. The colossal structures of the lab, known as "sky demons" to the Na'vi, loomed ahead.
As they entered the lab, Kiri's eyes scanned the bustling environment. She spotted a familiar face among the scientists—an older man with graying hair, reminiscent of her father's friend. A sense of nostalgia mixed with hope welled up within her.
"Dr. Anderson!" Kiri called out with a warm smile as they approached the scientist. "It's good to see you again."
Dr. Anderson turned from his work, his eyes lighting up as he recognized Kiri. "Well, if it isn't Jake's spirited daughter. It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Kiri nodded, her smile bright. "It has. I hope you're doing well."
"Very well indeed," Dr. Anderson replied, his gaze shifting to (Y/N) with curiosity. "And who's this?"
"This is (Y/N)," Kiri introduced, her hand gently squeezing (Y/N)'s. "She's my partner and the love of my life."
Dr. Anderson extended his hand, a friendly smile on his face. "It's a pleasure to meet you, (Y/N). Jake always spoke fondly of Kiri. You must be something special."
(Y/N) shook his hand with a smile. "Thank you, Dr. Anderson. It's an honor to meet someone who knows Kiri's father."
Kiri's attention returned to Dr. Anderson as her expression grew more serious. "Dr. Anderson, I have a favor to ask. One that I hope you can help us with."
The scientist leaned back, intrigued. "You have my attention, Kiri. What can I assist you with?"
Kiri took a breath, her determination unwavering. "My wife and I want to start a family. We're willing to explore every option. But we'd like to try for a child, one that carries a part of both of us, if possible."
Dr. Anderson's brows furrowed in thought as he considered Kiri's request. "I understand your desire. Biologically, it's more complex for two females. However, with our advancements in genetic research and fertility treatments, it's not entirely impossible."
Kiri's eyes brightened with hope, but she was realistic. "I know it won't be easy. But we're willing to put in the effort and the time. We want to build a family that's connected to both of us."
Dr. Anderson nodded in agreement. "It will take time and perseverance. Successful results might take months. But with dedication and a bit of luck, there's a possibility we could achieve a successful pregnancy."
(Y/N) looked at Kiri, their eyes locked with shared determination. "We're willing to do whatever it takes."
Dr. Anderson smiled warmly. "Then let's begin this journey together, shall we?"
With gratitude and newfound resolve, Kiri and (Y/N) left the lab that day, their steps echoing with a renewed sense of purpose. The path they were embarking upon might be challenging, but their love and determination were unshakeable. As they faced the future hand in hand, they knew that their journey towards building a family was a journey of hope, connection, and the unwavering support of unexpected allies.
In the lush embrace of Pandora's verdant beauty, Kiri and (Y/N) embarked on a journey unlike any other. Their shared determination to create a family of their own fueled their days with hope and excitement. Dr. Anderson, a trusted ally, became their guiding light as they entered the realm of fertility treatments.
Month one saw the dawn of a new routine. Mornings began with the sunrise filtering through the trees, casting a warm glow upon their hut. Kiri and (Y/N) rose together, united in purpose, ready to face each day with resilience.
Their visits to the human lab became a regular occurrence. Dr. Anderson orchestrated an array of tests, mapping out a precise plan tailored to their unique situation. The scientific intricacies of the process unfolded before them, overwhelming at times, yet they pressed on with unwavering resolve.
Each day brought a new challenge. Kiri and (Y/N) found themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of medical jargon, tests, and treatments. Dr. Anderson, with his steady hand and reassuring presence, guided them through it all. Daily injections became a ritual, a symbolic gesture of their commitment to the journey ahead.
As the first month progressed, the forest around them seemed to mirror their journey. Vibrant buds blossomed into delicate flowers, symbolizing the potential growth within them. Kiri and (Y/N)'s connection deepened with each shared moment, their shared dreams anchoring them to each other and their future family.
With patience as their companion, they embraced the rollercoaster of emotions that accompanied the process. There were moments of anticipation and hope, intermingled with moments of uncertainty and doubt. Yet, the bond between Kiri and (Y/N) remained unbreakable, each challenge only strengthening their resolve to overcome.
Dr. Anderson's regular check-ins provided reassurance. His calm explanations and candid conversations helped them understand the complexities of the journey they were undertaking. His genuine care for their well-being resonated deeply, creating a sense of trust that helped alleviate their concerns.
As the days of month one turned into weeks, a rhythm began to emerge. Kiri and (Y/N) found solace in each other's presence, their shared experiences forging an unbreakable connection. The injections, once foreign and intimidating, became a shared endeavor, a symbol of their unity and unwavering love.
With each passing day, Kiri and (Y/N) carried their hopes and dreams forward, embracing the challenges with courage. They knew that the path ahead would continue to test their strength, but they were determined to create a future filled with love, connection, and the joy of family. And as the forest whispered its secrets to the wind, it seemed to echo their sentiments—growth takes time, perseverance, and the unwavering belief that love can conquer all.
In the heart of Pandora's enchanting forest, Kiri and (Y/N) continued their journey toward creating a family of their own. The dawn of month two brought a renewed sense of purpose and anticipation. Each day was marked by a delicate balance of hope and patience as they navigated the intricacies of fertility treatments.
Their visits to the human lab were filled with a mix of nerves and excitement. Dr. Anderson remained their guiding light, offering unwavering support and insight into the complex processes at play. The scientific dance of hormones, injections, and tests continued, weaving their lives into a tapestry of shared experiences.
As the weeks went by, the bond between Kiri and (Y/N) grew stronger. Their unity in the face of challenges was an unspoken testament to their love. They found solace in the rhythm of their routine, in the moments of vulnerability shared during injections and tests, and in the unbreakable connection they forged.
One day, as they sat with Dr. Anderson in his lab, the scientist's eyes held a glint of excitement. "Kiri, (Y/N), I have promising news for you. The tests show that both of your DNA sequences are starting to change, albeit slowly."
Kiri's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at (Y/N) with a mixture of hope and awe. "(Y/N), did you hear that?"
(Y/N)'s eyes shone with emotion as she took Kiri's hand. "I did, Kiri. It seems that our journey is progressing."
Dr. Anderson smiled warmly at their reaction. "Indeed. The changes indicate that your bodies are responding positively to the treatments. This is a significant step forward."
With newfound determination, Kiri leaned forward, her voice tinged with excitement. "Dr. Anderson, how long do you think it will take before we see results?"
The scientist's gaze held a sense of assurance. "Based on the current rate of change, I'm cautiously optimistic that within another month, you might experience a successful pregnancy."
The air in the room seemed to shimmer with possibility. Kiri and (Y/N)'s eyes met, and a sense of wonder passed between them. The journey they had embarked upon was complex and challenging, yet in that moment, they felt a renewed surge of hope.
"(Y/N)," Kiri whispered, her voice filled with emotion, "imagine, in just a few more weeks, we could have a baby growing within us."
Tears welled up in (Y/N)'s eyes as she smiled at Kiri. "It's a beautiful thought, Kiri. Our love and determination are shaping our future."
Dr. Anderson's words lingered in the air, a testament to the power of science and love combined. As they left the lab that day, Kiri and (Y/N)'s steps were lighter, their hearts lifted by the promise of what lay ahead. Month two had brought them closer to their dream, and with each passing day, they knew that their love would continue to guide them through the challenges and triumphs of their unique journey.
In the heart of Pandora's vibrant landscape, Kiri and (Y/N) found themselves in the midst of a journey that was transcendent and life-changing. Month three brought a sense of anticipation that danced in the air like the leaves rustling in the wind. The forest whispered its secrets, as if sharing in the couple's hopes and dreams.
Their visits to the human lab had become a familiar routine, each day filled with injections, tests, and conversations with Dr. Anderson. The scientist's guidance had been a constant source of support, his expertise a beacon of hope as they navigated the complexities of fertility treatments.
One day, bathed in the gentle light of dawn, Kiri and (Y/N) stood before Dr. Anderson, their hearts racing in anticipation. The scientist's smile held a glimmer of excitement as he greeted them.
"Kiri, (Y/N)," he began, his voice carrying a note of jubilation, "I'm thrilled to share that both of you are now successfully pregnant."
Tears of joy welled up in Kiri's eyes as she turned to (Y/N), their emotions mirrored in each other's gaze. "Did you hear that, (Y/N)? We're going to be parents."
(Y/N) nodded, her voice quivering with emotion. "I can't believe it. Our dreams are coming true."
Dr. Anderson's congratulations were heartfelt, a testament to the shared journey of determination and love. With hugs, he bid them farewell, and they left the lab that day, their hearts soaring with newfound hope.
Returning to their hut, Kiri and (Y/N) felt a sense of wonder enveloping them. The news they carried was a precious treasure, a testament to the power of science and their unbreakable bond. Their families were the first to know, and their joyful reactions only served to heighten the couple's elation.
Word spread through the tribe like wildfire, and an air of celebration enveloped the village. The Na'vi people joined together, united by their shared joy and the prospect of new life. The forest itself seemed to pulse with energy, as if the land itself recognized the significance of the moment.
Underneath the vibrant canopy, a feast was prepared, a testament to the unity of the tribe. Kiri and (Y/N) stood before their loved ones, hands intertwined, hearts overflowing with gratitude.
"(Y/N) and I have been blessed with the news of successful pregnancies," Kiri announced, her voice a mixture of wonder and emotion. "Our journey to this moment has been one of challenges and hope, and we're grateful for each of you who have stood by our side."
The cheers that erupted from the crowd were a testament to the tribe's shared joy. Drums beat in a rhythmic dance, and songs of celebration filled the air, echoing the unity that bound them all.
Beneath the starlit sky, Kiri and (Y/N) danced together, their connection deepening with every step. As they moved in harmony with the music, they knew that their journey had come full circle. The love they had shared, their unwavering determination, and the support of their tribe had created a future that was imbued with promise.
And as the celebrations continued, the forest whispered its blessings, a testament to the power of love, hope, and the connections that held them all together.

How can a story never die? It is love we must hold onto, the origins brought to you by love. When a story like hers with such dedicated meaning and strong roots manacled into your DNA, it is a hard task to simply leave it all behind. Never easy, but we try. Minutes turn to hours, days to years and gone the moments that pass shall never be forgotten, especially for spiteful people, but may love live on inside our hearts keeping to those who you can be sure to never leave and always will stay.

OFFICIAL INTRODUCTION: "I need to get... Excuse me. I need to pass. What? I don't care if it's a fight, I have important matters to solve. Isabelle and Leona are the one fighting? Sevens, and they try to make me believe they are not in love."
Adeline Rosique, the vice-housewander at Rosantée, the Royal Sword Academy's dorm, channels the spirit of the Fearless princess.
Despite her initial aloofness and strict demeanor, it doesn't take long to discover Adeline's kind and warm side, with an energy of big sister of everyone and all, intertwined with a playful and cunning sense of humor.
While rumors circulate about a dark past, Adeline appears unfazed, insisting it doesn't bother her – or so she tells herself.
Tumblr media
BACKGROUND
Adeline, destined to be the future heir of the illustrious kingdom of Westerian Beau, faced a turbulent beginning marked by the disdain of her father, Grendel Enchanta. Born to a union between a human and a fae, Adeline's arrival into the world was met not with joy but with Grendel's palpable disgust. His dismay, however, went beyond the mere disappointment of having a daughter; it was rooted in the perception that she was, in his eyes, aesthetically displeasing.
Grendel, harboring a profound resentment toward his fae spouse, concocted a sinister plan in response to his daughter's perceived flaws. In a calculated move, he aimed to turn the entire kingdom against Adeline's mother, leveraging prejudice and deceit to manipulate public opinion. The ultimate goal was to isolate and abandon Adeline, leaving her to face the world alone and vulnerable. The twisted plot orchestrated by Grendel Enchanta wove an intricate web of familial betrayal and political intrigue within the kingdom. Shockingly, the malevolent plan proved successful as the sentiment in the kingdom gradually shifted, and animosity festered against their once-beloved queen.
Grendel seized the opportunity and, with his daughter Adeline in tow, clandestinely retreated to a secluded cottage nestled in the enigmatic Shaftlands. In this isolated haven, Adeline's formative years unfolded amidst the shadows of her father's manipulative schemes. The idyllic facade of the cottage belied the harsh reality that she grew up mostly alone, isolated from the warmth of familial bonds and the camaraderie of the outside world. The villagers' aversion to her, cast Adeline into a lonely existence, as even the village children shunned her. Ultimately for her appearance.
Left to her own devices, Adeline found solace in the companionship of a single friend, well, an animal, who proved steadfast in the face of her isolation.
With her father often absent from her life, the cottage in the Shaftlands became both a sanctuary and a prison for Adeline, a place where the echoes of betrayal and deceit lingered. As she navigated the challenges of her solitary existence, Adeline's resilience and the bond she forged with her lone confidant would come to define her journey in the shadowy aftermath of her father's malevolence.
Adeline grew to study in Sword Academy at the dorm of Rosantée. Despite the challenges imposed by her tumultuous upbringing, Adeline persevered and pursued her education at the esteemed Sword Academy. However, the corrosive environment of constant bullying during her initial years took a toll on her resilience. By the second year, the weight of relentless mistreatment became unbearable.
In a decisive act of self-empowerment, Adeline chose to take control of her narrative. She embarked on a journey of radical transformation, altering her appearance in a way that defied societal expectations and norms. This drastic change became a catalyst for a profound shift in the dynamics of her interactions. The very individuals who once subjected her to ridicule and cruelty now found themselves confronted with a version of Adeline that defied their preconceived notions. The newfound strength emanating from her transformed appearance not only shielded her from further mistreatment but also became a symbol of her resilience and defiance.
PERSONALITY
Possessing a personality like Adeline Rosique is having a personality like a mirror that has a duality of her heritage. Bold and resilient, she faces the world with a determination forged in the crucible of adversity. Despite the hardships she has endured, Adeline carries herself with an innate sense of grace and poise, a testament to the influence of both her human and faye lineage. We may say, Adeline is a bold and sassy girl, however, most of the time she acts serious, with a rare smile on her face. This is just a façade though to a girl who loves to talk and seems mostly happy to meet new people.
Adeline's disdain for those who judge her based solely on her appearance fuels her resolve to defy expectations. So, it is to be seen that through Shaftlands a poor old lady that wanders all night and day long is actually Adeline, hiding for those who seek her power for illness. To move through the city undisturbed, a seemingly unassuming old lady, free from the superficial attention that often accompanies her true form. But even so, during the night she no longer uses the disguise, and only walks with a big dark green hoodie.
Her boldness is evident in the way, unafraid to voice her opinions and stand up for what she believes is right. Some people who know the truth about the “lady” say that Adeline fear is to be denied by people who surround her for only her appearance, that leads her to act most as somehow rudely towards people. Adeline's boldness, however, is not a mask for arrogance; rather, it is a reflection of her unwavering confidence in her abilities and her refusal to be defined by the narrow judgments of others. Despite that, Adeline is not without empathy. Her experiences have cultivated a deep understanding of the struggles faced by those who don't fit neatly into societal norms. She is quick to lend a helping hand to those in need, a trait that endears her to those who truly see beyond the surface. Another noticeable trait is the thought of never needing help from anyone, she can help everyone, never the opposite.
In the intricate tapestry of her personality, Adeline Rosique emerges as a symbol of resilience, grace, and defiance. Bold, polite, and unapologetically herself, Adeline stands as a beacon of inspiration for those who dare to embrace their uniqueness in a world that often seeks conformity. Adeline believes, that people can’t leave her, if she leaves first, so she tends to be somehow rude and stern to others who she doesn’t know.
RELATIONSHIPS (main ones)
Sebek Zigvolt: Sebek has low tolerance over her, mostly by the fact how ironic she is with Malleus, it takes a lot of patience for him to let her be around himself and Malleus, especially when Malleus says that he doesn’t mind her jokes and sarcasm, which is unbelievable! He is the heir to the throne and he shouldn't let her talk to him like that. Sebek wonders if the Young Master has a reason.
Epel Femier: This one is hard, she knows she comes off as annoying to him, so, when he acted more rude than he should with her, Adeline used her UM on him. He stayed inside all day long, only leaving when Poppy helped him to get the forgiveness of her. By the end of the second day he was back to normal. Adeline apologises by the way she acted, yet, she keeps an eye in both Poppy and Epel after it, with a sly hint of amusement.
Poppy Cosette (Oc made by @justm3di0cr3): At first, Adeline admits that she was a bit antipathetic, and she knows it. It was mostly her first side showing up, but once she had to spend time with Poppy alone, they both had a sisterly bound; and from that moment from time to time Poppy and her would spend evenings together, maybe making apple or lemon pies. That's when, Poppy doesn't bring baskets with flowers and bread to Adeline, the half faye melts on the spot.
Che’nya: Although she sees him as a weird guy, he does make her flash a bright smile accompanied with a loud laugh from time to time. Adeline thinks he is just the class clown. But when he catches the eye of one of her friends she comes off to be rather amused by him more easily than before.
Fauna De Lis (Oc made by @shinysparklesapphires): Fauna and Adeline are great friends, and in general Adeline has a bit of admiration for the kindness of the girl, with that she becomes somehow like a protective sister like she is with most of her friends.
Isabelle Desroisiers (Oc made by @midnightmah07): Adeline says that one of the purest hearts of all the people she has met was Isabelle’s, due to the lovely like and kind yet stubborn and curious was what drew Adeline close to Isabelle. The usual dates with the friends are in a cozy room with books, a chess game, snacks and some small gossip here and there. She was the only one to break the rule of “if I leave first, no one can leave me” because Adeline knows Isabelle would stay.
Leona Kingscholar: Although the truth about his and Isabelle’s weeding, Adeline always had a feeling of something that was within hidden between them too. In her head all the hatred was a uncovered love for each other (she turns out to be right, but at first she comes out as annoying). But, she can't lie when says she finds Leona mostly like an annoying bastard, yet, she had to pull up with his attitude.
Rook Hunt: Though Rook may stir a hint of unease in Adeline, their shared cunning and sly nature forms a common ground; That is the matchmaking couples, this is how they got to make "an apple tart" couple along, all part of their cupid-inspired scheming.
Adriano Mélombre: It sounds like a positive transformation in the relationship between the half-siblings, Adriano and the person you're referring to. Overcoming the past and developing a sweeter relationship can be a rewarding and healing experience for both individuals involved. The fact that Adriano has extended an invitation for them to live together, along with their mother, suggests a desire for closer family bonds and mutual support. Such developments often require open communication, understanding, and forgiveness. Living together can provide an opportunity for them to deepen their connection, create new memories, and foster a sense of belonging within the family unit. Family dynamics can be complex, and positive changes like this one demonstrate resilience and a commitment to building stronger relationships.
MALLEUS DRACONIA
Will wait for Book 7 to finish!

i know webgott isn't exactly the ship you primarily write for but GOD i love the way you write modern david webster in maximum volume (and i love his raport with nix it reminds me so much of my own queer friend group in ways i've yet to articulate properly) and i was wondering if you have any headcanons about their coupling and/or their interactions with their friend group (as a couple or individually)?
Haha oh my god, thank you! That's so nice of you to say! I based them loosely on my cousin and his boyfriend, who used to have epic Halloween parties before they got old and decided it was too much work, and if everyone loved it so much, they could damn well volunteer to host it themselves. Alas, no one did.
But David and Joe are still young and fun so let's talk about them. I feel like you should win a prize or something because this is officially the FIRST Webgott ask I've ever received. I do have a few headcanons about them, which did not make it into the fic because I mean, for christ's sake, the thing is already way too long. Anyway, if you'll just follow me...
Even though they knew and liked each other in high school, I don't think they got together until later. Like one time in college they bumped into each other on campus and it was like "I always had a crush on you" - "same" and then they were inseparable. They got married kinda young, around 24 or 25 (I imagined them right around 30 in the fic) and their families were like "... are you SURE you don't want to wait a little longer?" But they don't listen to anyone else, naturally, because what the hell do they know?
I also envisioned them as having gone on some long bike-camping trip up the coast on a tandem bike just before they decided to get married, and something very profound happened on this trip, maybe it just challenged them in ways they'd never been tested before, and they met and overcame those obstacles together and it sort of cemented their bond as a couple. Because if you can successfully ride a tandem with your partner, you can probably weather any storm.
They used to have threesomes with George back in the day but they don't anymore. David and George are good buddies (I've always felt strongly about this, based solely on how George was kind of nice to Webster in that episode when he comes back from the hospital and is just being such a clueless dick). They go see bands together and to see midnight showings of cult movies and stuff like that. Joe actually thinks that if David weren't with him, he and George would be a good couple.
David still has a little teeny tiny crush on Mr. Winters. He wished he knew he was gay when he actually had him as a teacher, but he totally understands why he wasn't out at work.
As mentioned in Ch. 1, they're both journalists. Joe is a sports writer for the major metro daily, David writes for a local news/arts/culture blog. This means they're always out somewhere covering a game or event or whatever, which works for them because the true secret to their success as a couple is their own selfish pursuits of what makes them happy as individuals. They're good at giving each other space to do whatever the fuck they want, knowing that at the end of the day, they don't want anything else as much as they want each other.
Everyone assumes they're about one big blow up away from divorce, but they're actually surprisingly stable. They truly enjoy each other's company and are just as content tending to their flower beds together as they are going to a party or out to the bars with their friends. They worship their cats. They have a Sunday ritual (h/t @anthrobrat) of reading the entire Sunday paper, section by section, David reading the gossip page out loud and being appalled at the list prices of houses in the Real Estate section and saving the Food section because they might actually try one of the recipes this week (they never do). At their core, they're basically just a couple of old queens sliding comfortably into middle age, though their friends would be shocked to see this side of them.
Idk... this is honestly the most I've ever thought about them so I hope it fits with what you were thinking, or at least makes sense with their little cameos in the story. Thanks for the ask, it's always fun to explore and imagine. And thank you so much for reading my stuff! I appreciate you and everyone else who takes the time to read my work so very much. Take care 😍❤️

Manga Review: Undead Unluck
Tumblr media
okay…this series was one of the series that prompted me to make this blog because i wanted to talk about how… interesting it is—namely, how it starts vs how it’s going because holy shit, does it feel so much more different than the first handful of chapters.
(spoiler-free review!)
initially when this series was newer in WSJ years back i gave it a shot and read the first four chapters and was put off pretty hard by its start—i didn’t like how immediately the assumed main heroine, Fuuko, was basically getting harassed by this man, Andy, who was exploiting her bad luck to die by copping a feel. yet i had no idea that such a weird start with perverted humor left the back of my mind entirely as the story progressed. the ecchi jokes have nearly all but left the forefront for plot progression.
Tumblr media
and the plot is INSANELY COOL. the power system is such a mindbendingly awesome concept, surpassing the core idea of “breaking the rules” of the world. at first it felt like the story was being made up on the fly, but now in what feels like late stage story everything ties together and there are little touches and info that make you wonder, “holy crap, this author really thought this through more than i expected.” it isn’t perfect, but as i read it’s doing pretty damn well at least.
chapters read: 137 (ongoing)
first impression rating: 2/5
continuation rating: 4/5
things i liked:
the power system, hands down. i absolutely love powers that can completely turn a situation on its head, and it's really crazy how each character occasionally use their abilities in a fresh new way.
the panel work is probably one of the best and most sleek i've seen in recent memory. no scene has really felt cramped in terms of artwork and the full page spreads are sexy to look at, especially in the later parts.
the action sequences OHHHH MY GOD. I SWEAR TO GOD I NEVER GOT TIRED OF SEEING SOME OF THESE MOVES ESPECIALLY ANDY'S. with how its getting an anime next year im hyped to see how a couple of the fights will look in an animated form!
some of the themes of many of the characters are actually pretty profound, and the found family trope is all over this one too, as they navigate abilities that have caused them despair and finding new life in people they've formed bonds with.
things i disliked:
the first few chapters obviously. i think that first impression really will put off a lot of people at first with the grope-y jokes and starting plot that felt like it was being made up on the fly. and it kinda bums how i will have to tell people "if you can make it past the first few chapters it gets REALLY good!" i almost wonder if it was an intentional move on the author's part to do that given how ecchi—unfortunately—can get more eyes on a series.
the pacing in the 2nd to latest arc felt a bit off at times to me, especially during a point where a specific major character was suddenly introduced to cause a near-major character death and introduce the very arc without explaining where they came from or why they exist/their backstory in the first place...however, im hoping they do get explained later, as most of the characters shrouded in mystery for dozens of chapters get explained more.
overall, im all in for this series right now, and i highly recommend it if you're into more wacky and more unconventional-seeming series! this one feels quite different compared to many that i've read and its worth trucking.

Maybe Sprout Wings - CasuallyNeurotic
Fan fiction has been a large part of my life even before I knew what fan fiction was. I would sit in my room for hours and write story after story about NSYNC and other pop stars that were popular when I was a kid.
I didn't know it at the time, but that is likely what saved me as a kid. It was an escape from the very real hell I was living. I don't want to get into the details here, but I'm in therapy, and things that I thought were very normal are not and it's been a challenge to take a look at my life and call things what they were. Abuse.
I started reading MSW (Maybe Spout Wings) when it had just posted chapter 19. I don't know how long ago that was, but I remember feeling so much. So many thoughts that Dean was having were thoughts that I had as a kid. The extremely low self-worth. The thinking you aren't worth anything. The abuse that you were "trained" to ask for because it was that or something unknown and the unknown was always worse.
This piece of fiction is true for so many. The lives we force ourselves to live in order to help others. The way we give and give and leave ourselves crumbs, yet we are just as starving. The physical and mental pain we endure because we know someone else will not feel it. The destruction of our self-sacrifice.
I expected to relate to Dean (I usually do)...but I wasn't expecting to relate to Castiel so strongly. I guess you could say that I had a breakthrough...kinda. I realized in reading this story that Dean is my inner child and Castiel is me now.
Two sides of the same coin. A Profound Bond. (*chuckles*)
Healing physical and phycological trauma at the same time is such a mindfu*k. One day you feel good and the next you are shattered. It sometimes feels hopeless and hopeful all at once. You get in these endless loops of self-hate and nothing works and you just get deeper and deeper and deeper and it just seems endless but then there is that little voice that says" "you are more", "this is not you", "you are loved", "I'll keep you safe". You start to come out of it slowly...you get bad again, because of course you will, but you're always moving forward. Never back.
This story, though very triggering, is showing me that the bad was bad...but that the good is so much better. The fight for peace is worth it and I can and should keep fighting.
I am so thankful.
I don't have words for how much I feel about this story or the person(s) who is/are writing it.
I am just so grateful.
@casuallyneurotic,
Thank you for telling Dean's story and in turn telling a version of mine. You have no idea the power your words have over those of us who NEED stories like this to keep going. It's so much more than fan fiction. It's so much more and I hope that you know how much you are appreciated and cared for.

How Fand daddy issues show the most? Does she want to be actually a sugar baby or does she only crave the physical/spiritual/financial attention? Does she want to establish profound relationship with the people she meets? What is a good "daddy" for her?
Tumblr media
"What kind of bullshit are you talking about?!" She did not want to think or hear about any of these things, that was beyond embarrassing and she was 27 years old! Her parents were ideally no concern of her anymore, but that could not be further from the truth.
// in quite a few ways throughout her life, be it her seeking constantly attention (be it negative or positive, not picky with that) from literal anyone that is willing to give her it (usually male), or especially from older men, with the most notable one being a close friend to her stepfather, who did not overly value her, but sure indulged her in her destructive behavior at times.
Usually she seeks out some kind of approval and/or physical contact, where she is very willing to make it sexual, especially with said friend, since he not the gentle type and difficult on top. She does not mind though, it is better than nothing (cue very low standards), and with her lack of bonds and general bad luck to form new ones, she relied on him a lot for a long time. Finances mean not so much for her, but she certainly would not say no to a better, more luxury life again, expensive gifts or the like but it is not her number one priority.
Before her accident she was quite popular, not in the most positive way, but you better be on her good side, if you did not want to end up as one of her bullying victims. Already to that time was showing, that she was very attention-seeking and possibly quite frustrated with her life (family situation), to let it out on others. She still does not feel bad about it, despite going through it herself after her accident, where she lost all of her supposed friends rather quickly. She had never valued them much anyway but after it, she sure felt alone and miserable, so yeah she quite out to make some meaningful bonds, have some people with whom she can spend time with and can rely on, without feeling like a burden. It is difficult for her though, considering her personality.
Ahaha, the last question actually made me think, if she would be up for that kind of dynamic or not, and it made me realize she deep down the rabbit hole. Her real father is dead, and her stepfather does not overly care about her and barely spend time with her, so I am sure, it is possible that she would accept literally anyone else for that role and not see anything wrong with it, as long he fulfills some of her needs. Girl just wanna be properly loved to be honest, and ideally have a normal family, with whom she can do nice trips or the like, but that is not the case. But for something alike, she quite willing to do a lot of things, and tends to think that sex is one of the best ways to keep a guy interested in her, based on her school experience. She also enjoys it, so there is that on top, that it gets depraved fast. Considering how she became quite a masochist, the perfect guy would be someone that can be loving but also authoritarian / rough. She a total brat, so probably lots of patience needed too. I kinda doubt anyone had the nerves for her in the long run, who can fulfill her desires (& his own).

Do you have any tips for authors on how to deal with jealousy (both theirs and other people's)?
There might be something on the pinned post in the FAQs that would be a "pep talk" of sorts about Keeping Your Eyes on Your Own Paper, but I haven't checked. There IS a great post from Gwenda Bond that addresses this, though, and it's a lengthy but excellent read -- needless to say, I agree with Gwenda that comparing yourself to other people and their careers is both maddening and fruitless.
A highlight:
"No one ever really feels comfortable or assured of their place and always always confident in their work and whether it will succeed in the market. The more failure, the more pressure. The more success, the more pressure.
The only answer [...] is to keep writing and see. Keep trying to get better. Keep your eyes on your own paper. All writing careers are icebergs–there's more happening than what you see above the surface–but I can guarantee you that any news that would make you envious or sad or disappointed is probably the result of the person doing one key thing: Writing. It's much easier to focus on what you're putting on the page when you're not letting yourself be distracted by things that do not matter to your career and have no direct relation to it. And you will also have to learn to focus when you're being distracted by things that do matter to your career and directly relate to it. Learning to focus and work no matter what our circumstances (unless you're trapped in a cage with a tiger or similar, obvs) stands us all well."
Do read it. MEANWHILE -- I was listening to the Book Friends Forever podcast this morning and the topic was, "what makes you remarkable" -- something that they said struck me as quite profound. Basically, Alvina said that one of the things that she admires Grace for is Grace's generosity. And Grace said (paraphrasing) -- really? I mean, I don't FEEL generous. A lot of times I feel envious or have FOMO or wish I had what another person has. Which, Alvina replied, perhaps makes it all the more remarkable - that you can feel these ways and react with generosity despite them.
And it led me to something I'm still thinking about now: Perhaps the opposite of Jealousy is GENEROSITY. And maybe, if we are feeling a green-eyed monster kind of way (which is normal and natural and we all feel it sometimes!) -- instead of letting ourselves get eaten up by it -- see if you can react with generosity. REAL generosity. Like, bigger than just gritting your teeth and saying "oh, congrats" when you really want to set the person's house on fire. :-)
I wonder if that would work? Like, you are feeling the envy, you grit your teeth and say congrats -- but then instead of sitting with that mean-ness, you also purposely do something tangible that is GENEROUS. Make a donation to a cause you believe in. Create something to share with people you love (or strangers on the internet). Bring some unexpected joy to somebody by telling them how much their book meant to you.
(Randomly: I got a text yesterday from a friend praising one of my clients books and I have to tell you -- it completely turned my day around! They might have thought nothing of it, but it was in fact deeply meaningful to hear and TRULY changed my entire outlook for the day. I hope that them getting to SAY that was half as good-inspiring as my hearing it was!)
My point is: I'm no scientist, but I KINDA feel like a dose of generosity will do a lot to counteract a bout of envy. I'm going to try it next time I'm feeling green. Will you?

really gratuitous grace
12:38am: well, talk about gratuitous grace… I'm doing it again, half a week later - twelve r30s this time, I'm being "moderate" cause I'm not going for a new record dose, just another demi-god trip, where I will probably feel like god again, but a lonely god still rubbing up against His own Grain, the infinite cosmos of limitations based on this little personality I am most of the time, like those weaponized changeling virii that cut off their hand to morph into sentient goo that projects itself as an angry voice that wants, that controls, that demands.
well, well, well well well well well well, there's 5 wells in this instance going back to the well well there's an eleven angstrom shell of heaven between the living void and hell well, look what we have here i guess i'm really trying to re-live the glory days, and yet have high high hopes for making something new as well… dosed about 12:35 - the idea was, don't worry about it so damn much, how bout a spontaneous trip with good vibes, a gratuitous grace, at a point where no reasonable algorithm would dare think i would even consider doing this on this date, considering past behavior - or maybe the cleverest algo behind the clever one would
i'm thinking maybe i'll go watch something and see if i can get into the watching movie trip, and see how that works - integrate more, get casual and spiritual at the same time, some profane fusion - maybe keep it thc free, see how that is - see if it's maybe like a couple of great times where i was trying to follow a trippy m night shayama lambda delta movie on ketamine on creek street - lady in the water, lol, that will always be an A movie for me because of the enhancement, you kinda had to be there, you know? yk?
i think i might try watching that star wars series, andor… we'll see how that does me
1:18 pretty sure I'm starting to feel it. Can I try not to be so lazy in the swoon? Also there's the need to pee, strong. Midsection issues…
Scots evolution… in this disconnected watching of episode 1 of andor, strange vibe, not really following, but seems vaguely profound, in a different way than weed makes things seem profound, less vague in that case
I'm profanizing… Connecting to pasts though, magic on its own…
1:30 look at them, those forest people characters They're all so young. This feeling is getting familiar… Why is there such a need to pee? Lol.
The guy that did that thing
No cats to worry about as I wobble desperately...
so
1:55 i'm plugging things into other things, getting really complicated. fugal. comp crashed… seems to demand metaphors…. ok, we gotta work up a lather here… it's so strange that i find T in this place, and C, and where is my E? the best of all? can't mix though.
Carry over a gratuity… How are we solving the world's problems now? Is this like when we tried to Knext? Should I invite M? Should I start a religion? We can do what we want from this corner! We demand that we do it E style. It's silly, it's lovely, it's an old doiley, but what was old is young again! We could even have B back, and D too, I remember her, and the bonding of elements to women i loved [I can edit whenever I want, remember, I can interpolate, there's meta-cognition going on now, so I can pass through one state and into another, time-travel even, in the telepathetic field]
not being recorded, except experientially… what the mckenna boys could do with sound
i'm not very real, really? am i? is this some fucking captured not that important crumble?
like those ol dabbley immorality players of oldes… hmmm, trying to raise a second sequel over here….
it all gets streeeetched, including cancer drugs… gettin a little personal here…. oh, the songs and tones of deadly politics… Fuck. Wow. No,.
How can we make words have power again. Assign value. How do we make things valuable again, oh, i feel like i figured it out cause i'm not in a music video….
this case
that case
in any case
crossfire
as long as the series of tubes and weird hand flanges…
shubling…
let us just integrate everything and see what happens [prollly nothing good] it's too dense right now….
the voices are arguing with each other thank you for taking it seriously thank you for laughing, thank you thank you
the heat feels good
M, my friend, join us….
omg, 9-

supernatural s6e3 the third man (w. ben edlund)
so i wanted to know where cas was, i guess "total anarchy" is a little different from what i said ("heaven politics"). whatever, dean needs some backup from all these pod people.
trying to file away a thought about how the show treats him leaving lisa and its after effects, if he's dreaming about her now. not holding my breath on that. (but maybe this was just an excuse to get both guys shirtless)
is this a random lady sam banged or the lady in the hunter group? pretty and longish brown hair blending together.
also sam is very tan. i wonder side by side how much darker he is than s1. might be due to the lighting/coloring they're going with the past couple seasons which can be really warm and saturated at times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
s1e17 hell house / s6e3 the third man - evolution of tan
ah right, i forgot i knew the sex worker thing.
Tumblr media
oh jackles what did they do to your face. i know it looks worse because i have the nighttime warm display on, but oof
dean's just rolling with this totally different personality from sam. it's only been 5 minutes but i haven't been angry and i'm tryin real hard to keep the chill vibe. but...
i guess we're going all-in on the gross deaths.
DEAN Yeah, I suppose. Still driving the plastic piece of crap, huh?
SAM What's your mileage, again?
DEAN Shut up.
well, i appreciate the mention of gas mileage because the amount of money they had to have spent on gas for the impala based on the amount they drive is astronomical. but again, we're just doing the fun banter. i don't really get this version of soullessness.
but then, hmm. thinking of the magicians, which sera gamble was also a showrunner on, they had this thing called a shade: "The Shade is the tiny beating heart of the soul and the part that allows people to process complex emotions and connect to one another. The bonds of friendship, love, intimacy, trust, and compassion all rely completely upon the Shade." they also had it be a release from pain from trauma. and general give no fucks anymore-ness. (were shades in the books... i can't remember)
but anyway it kinda seems like, from what i've seen here, their implementation of soulless is really similar to shadeless. i think i'm grating against it so hard because i want dean to figure it out and he can't figure it out if they're being chummy on a job.
also why isn't dean even silently pissy about sam NOT CONTACTING HIM IN A YEAR THAT DEAN THOUGHT HE WAS STILL IN HELL. i just don't see how there's any plot or explanation that's going to make me think dean would react like this. with how you've had him be about sam for the past 5 years, and established canonically his history with him before that. does not compute for me.
(s3e5 bedtime stories) CROSSROADS DEMON No more desperate, sloppy, needy Dean.
you don't get demons calling you out to your brother about being desperate, sloppy and needy for nothing.
and zachariah's "sam and dean winchester are psychotically, irrationally, erotically codependent on each other". but no. dean's all good.
SAM So, what, you -- you like him better or something?
CASTIEL Dean and I do share a more profound bond. I wasn't gonna mention it.
--
DEAN Cas, look, if Sam calls, you answer. Okay? You wing your ass down here, and you tell him, "I don't know." Just because we have some sort of a -- a bond or whatever...
CASTIEL You think I came because you called? I came because of this.
i wonder how cas's dislike of sam gets translated into fandom (who must have had a field day with the profound bond line)
Tumblr media
CASTIEL Sam, Dean, my "people skills" are "rusty." Pardon me, but I have spent the last "year" as a multidimensional wavelength of celestial intent.
same, bro, same. except the multidimensional wavelength part.
kind of funny this dude is blaming cas for giving the angels free will.
oh someone must have gif'd tobias and hannibal fighting compared with raphael beating on cas. that's funny.
Tumblr media
feeling slightly mollified that at least dean brought up sam seemingly not caring about anything.
DEAN Hey man, I'm just trying to figure this out because... something's different with you. You know that.
SAM Yeah. Yeah, I know.
DEAN Really?
SAM Yeah. I mean... I've been hunting non-stop for the past year, kind of... kind of on the wild, you know? So, yeah, I suppose I'm a little rough around the edges.
well that made me wonder how much awareness sam has of what's going on, realizing i assumed he knew but i see it also makes sense if he doesn't. and doesn't care because he's happy (i assume?)
DEAN Yeah, I get that. I just don't think I'm getting the whole scoop. You went to hell, Sam. And believe me, I know what that does to a guy.
SAM To you.
DEAN What?
SAM You know what it does to you. It -- it tortured you. You know? I think it still does. But, Dean... I'm okay.
ouch. that was ugly. we do not need to fuel dean's guilt-shame fire.
still really looking forward to this particular plotline's demise.

Hi again!! Thank you for your detailed answer, it was of great help! And because my curiosity doesn’t know where to stop, i went looking for more stuff about Zaraki and Unohana and now I see them as a couple?!? Like, how? I ship the really hard, they became my number one Bleach couple and again, I don’t know anything about Bleach! And to make it worse, now I’m developing a huge crush on Zaraki, and I know nothing, zero, nada about him! Oh well, the heart of otakus works in weird (wonderfull) ways). Can you tell me your opinion (the specialist) about Unohana and Zaraki relationship? Do you think they love each other because they are the only ones that can understand each other? (Does this makes sense?), like, they are the only ones that can make the other feel alive? Feel good? Feel happy? I’m eager to know what you think! (And just for me to know, dating Zaraki would be anything but easy, right? My guess, I know nothing about him). Thank you again and I wish you happy days!
No problem babe!! I'm sorry I didn't answer earlier, tumblr happened to NEVER notify me about new messages T-T. But here I am! So, I totally get you why you see them as a couple. It was never stated, so it's up to your imagination whether you wanna ship them or not. I believe there is some kind of "mother/son" dynamic but not in the strict sense. Idk if it makes sense honestly. I am not sure if they love each other, but I do think they both held a profound need for the other and also some kind of resentment (mainly unohana for making him hold back his powers in a way). That's why their final battle is so full of emotions! Unohana scolds Kenny for holding back as if she had a motherly bond with him. Kenny feeling more and more weak against her, allowing himself to do so because he didn't want to lose her. But in the end, when Kenny killed her, he screams desperately asking her not to die. And that's only when he is able to listen to his zanpakuto for the first time. I think he understands that he has "grown up".
So for me it's all up to you if you want to ship them! I kinda do, too :P I find their last battle absolutely erotic! I have a little scenario that tries to "bond" that "motherly" figure and the erotic aspect of violence, and finding love in letting one die for the other. If you wish to read it, you can do it here 💖.
Regarding dating Kenny; I think it would be easy as long as you can 1. keep up with his battling style or don't annoy him too much about putting his life in danger like he usually does. And 2. if you can deal with his "beasty" behaviour. But if I have to be honest with you, I believe he is a sweetheart deep inside. You see how he carries a kid around all the time? well, he is also training Renji's daughter now. So he is very good with kids in general. He is simple man. Give him violence, give him peace, give him nights of calm -and hot hot sex (if your body can take it)- and he will be fine. Also, this is all a HC but I believe he would protect you like nobody else. Oh and he hates my husband Byakuya, and Byaku hates him too... but both make a great team when it comes to fighting and protecting the seireitei 🤭

How come every time I want to need him he pulls away. Is it fishing for a reaction if I’m just curious if he cares? But he doesn’t really care. Or at least not enough.
Why do I still want to want him. I hate how emotionally and empathically stunted he is. Yet I’ve been there when he’s said some profound notion about personal growth and the value of emotions. But he can’t repeat that can he. Why would he. Must be a one step forward two steps back they of thing for him. I could be good for him. He just doesn’t know it yet. Or maybe he does and still doesn’t want me. That’s fine, but I’m just in limbo. In limbo of my feelings and his feelings. Why is he so shallow with me. Why am I not enough? Am I too much? I’m sure I come across just as confused as I am. I’m sometimes so confident I can’t take any of my thoughts seriously. That would be dangerous. I wish my thoughts were as right as they feel. He hurts my feelings as a friend. He didn’t ask how I was. Tears in my eyes. He’s a bitch for that. Not even as a fucking friend did he make even a little noticeable that he cares. Maybe he does. He probably does. But I want someone who’s not afraid to ask if I’m okay. Someone to give me support or space. Decent human stuff. Maybe I’m extra critical of him because I want to want him while at the same time I desperately want to find him repulsive and just a friend. That’s hard. I’m confused. Our mutual friend is such an amazing person. Probably the type of person for me. But do I find him attractive like I find him. No. Maybe it’s the type of attraction that grows as you emotionally bond. That’s fine too. I just wish me and him had that emotional bond. I thought we did for a little bit. And for an even smaller bit, I thought I truly love him, in the same why I love our friend but it felt different since I was scared that it might not be the same. I’d like to imagine that he has love for me too. But I also think he can’t get out of his own head and see what good is in front of him. Me and him. Him and me. Our friend and me. Our friend and us. We’re kinda like a dysfunctional trio. One where the love gets confusing. One where the bonds are strong but get stretched. How can someone be so kind and honest and open and mature then go home and be stale. Emotionally stale. Where’d the passion for life go? I want that back. If we all have it, it grows stronger. He’s distant from me. Why. Me of all people. I’m confused. Is he also confused and trying to distance himself from me to avoid feelings. Are my emotions and empathy too much? Should I care if they are. I won’t change for him. I am who I am. I change for myself. I am a person who continually fights to find and make changes to better myself. I can’t live a stale life without the desire for growth. I’d drown in my own misery. What do I do? Do I do anything? Do I come on stronger? Do I come on weaker? Will stronger scare him or invite him? Will weaker give him the leeway to leave or make him crave to be closer. Is that manipulation or am I just a human as much as he is?

My favourite “problematic” trope is when you’ve got two characters who are obsessively and possessively in love to the point where they find a deep sentimental romance in all the blood, sweat and tears they shed together. The kind of couple who will kill for each other in order to stay together because they would rather die than be apart, even if one character has slightly better morals that causes conflict in the couple yet they can’t stay away from each other. I want that intense must have you always energy in my ships. You are my world kind of energy but literally. The hold my face in the rain as it washes away the blood and kiss me like you might never get a chance again kind of dark romance.
