Baby and the Bees: Attack
Team RWBY are out on patrol when a horde of Grimm attack the bungalow. Ghira and Winter are trying to stave off most of the horde, but a couple manage to break through their defenses.
Grimm: (inside the house and about to attack the baby in the bassinet)
Fireball slams into the Grimm's side.
Raven: Try it. (holds up Omen with eyes glowing) Your master has taken everything away from me in one way or another, but I am not going to let you take away my daughter's child. So, Fucking try it... I dare you, motherfucker. I double dog dare you to fucking try it!
Grimm: (crouches low and pounces only to be intercepted by a whirling serving tray. It slams into glyphs and gets pinballed through the air)
Raven: (turns to see Kali and Willow standing in the hallway smugly) What?
Kali: What do you mean "what"? Go pick up your granddaughter, Granny.
Willow: We can't kill the Grimm when it's so close to the baby after all.
Raven: (blushing profusely) G-GRANNY?!?!? Who do you- UGH!!! (picks up baby and moves to the side) There! Have fun! (Glances at the baby out of the corner of her eye)
Baby: (smiles up at Raven and starts playing with her necklace)
Raven: 💓💘❤️‍🔥 .......fuck.
(feels Kindred Link activate and connect) Fuck....
Willow & Kali: (murderous staring at Grimm as it falls to the floor)
Grimm: (whimpers pitifully)
Raven: (covers baby's eyes at the sheer carnage) Ooooooh fuck.....
Baby: (blows raspberry) ppppptfuck!
Raven: Fuck!

Prompt 266
Back on my Danny & Ras frienemies/rivals/maybe-lovers-nobody-can-tell-their-signals-are-very-mixed train.
See, Danny has gone through time a lot. Often. It comes with being Clockwork’s charge-son-thing and honestly he finds it fun. And several times he’s used this time travelling to get some training in. Enter Ras, stage left, also a teen at the time and also learning swordsmanship from the same person.
And they… utterly despise each other. They would kill the other for an apple slice, if the other one would die! But also, only they can kill the other, as it is obviously their right!
And well, they keep running into each other. It has been a hundred years, surely the other would die by now? But of course their rival would live through utter spite. Probably to spite them specifically.
The amount of times they have ended up sparring- trying to kill each other or not- the moment they see the other is actually ridiculous. But time is also passing. And… Danny understands, not having another to talk about things people are forgetting, or have already forgotten.
How they ended up actually talking without a murder attempt was a long story that included a demon, a dragon, a pair of fae, some bandits, and a lot of alcohol, but it happened. And then it happens again. And again, and now it’s just kind of normal to share a drink after their spars, talking about things that no longer exist, and things they miss.
Sure Danny can go back in time again, but he knows better than to do it willy nilly. He’s matured, he’s been an adult for a hundred years now, he knows there’s consequences for messing with time, even with Clockwork’s blessings.
The first time they got married was technically for an undercover assassination. Well, Ras was there to assassinate someone, Danny was there to grab an artifact that should Not be in the realm of the living. And they got divorced after, it was fine.
They just, also got married again when they met a few years later, for another job. And… okay, so maybe they have gotten married over a dozen times now and only divorced like half of those times. Half of those were for the bit or while drunk!
And even if technically they’re married or shared a bed, it’s not like they're exclusive! As Ras’ daughters’ existences attest to (adopted in one case or not). They don’t exactly have a label for their relationship, despite others asking for one or trying to put a name to it themselves.
Now Danny knows Ras isn’t exactly a good dude, or at least on the side of ‘good’ as he’s a literal assassin. But he also knows that good? Bad? Rather relative. He had gotten labeled as a villain when he was just trying to help all that time ago after all, and really who was he to tell someone else how to live their life?
Which brings him to now, where he’s run into his old frienemy-rival and his youngest daughter. Who has a braindead teenager and a small toddler. Which is fine, really- but also, Talia dear, why are you using a brain dead teenager to guard your three year old son?
Okay, Talia dear, Ras (Derogatory), why are you using your brain dead son and grandson to guard your younger son and grandson? Do you not have the Pits, which you were soo proud about Ras? Yes, he will spar with you, but for Realms’ sake, heal, what’s his name? Ah yes, go heal Jason and he’ll actually stick around for a few years, deal? Good.

Telling Peach's grandmother they're dating as a way to show Peach he's sincere.. I mean, he's not wrong, he definitely proved it right.

I love when a coming out is just about being loved and being supported and being yourself and knowing that the people in your life love you exactly as you are. Because that's all it should be.
Love is love and to be loved as yourself is the most powerful gift.

Diddy's two homes are being raided by the FBI as we speak and he's on the run, more or less. Ezili Dantor(the Haitian spirit that he has a back tattoo of) is beating his entire ASS right about now. And it's the least of what he deserves for all the fuckery he did throughout his life. Get his ass, Ezili!
First, I cannot believe he was even allowed to get within 500 feet of a plane, he was so obviously a flight risk!
Second, and most importantly, Cassie is so, so brave.
I cannot imagine how much strength it took for her to file her lawsuit. She had everything to lose and nothing to gain, and she did it anyway. I don’t know if the other survivors were warring with their decisions to come forward, but it seems clear that her bravery gave them the final push to finish filing their own lawsuits.
I cannot imagine the narcissism of being a man who repeatedly harms women and choosing to get a Haitian goddess who is seen as the protector of women tattooed on your entire back. She’s not looking out for you! And she’s not going to protect you if you’re at fault! Whichever grandmother tricked him into doing that is a genius and I hope she is basking in peace and tranquility for all of her days! 💛

Ooo I wonder if Orima not acknowledging Suvi/maybe not even knowing she's there has anything to do with the necklace & ring her parents left her.
Perhaps they hide her from wild ones (maybe even the man in black, up until she stepped on the road), if I wonder what exactly she's gonna have to do to be Seen by Orima

I have to admit I never even imagined witches to be evil until I came here on tumblr and read some of y'alls analysis of literature and other media. The whole evil laugh and brewing potions did not connect to being evil in my mind ever. I was just raised with everyone around me thinking witches were cool as hell.
#my grandmother used to tell me that she was a witch and that her daughters and also me were ones too#and tbh i believed that bc she used to take the pain away with her magic#which was just her hovering her hand above the painful place#and istg it worked every time be it placebo or the#im not going to explain the neural pathways that make thermal and tactile sensations lessen the pain#but its a thing#and all my aunts liked witchy stuff#they made runes on pebbles by painting the sigil with a nailpolish on them#my grandmother also told the future by regular playing cards#i was taught the thing where you hold a necklace and ask a question and if it swings one way its yes the other - no#both my mom and grandmother have had at some point protective spells in their wallets#my grandmother always made a protective spell on us when we were leaving#i was taught to always greet and thank the mother of forest when going mushroompicking/collecting berries#me and my younger aunts (i had 5 year difference with the youngest) were always up to some weird stuff#like you know lighting a candle by the window and repearing a phrase to see how your fated one will look like#a lot of things in midsummer with flower crowns were done for luck or once again to predict the future#oh and the whole holding a metal object that started turning in your hand when you went above underground water junction#there were. a lot of things.#oh and we even collaborated with ghosts#and we had two completely black cats when i was little#and i remember i once found a part of an animal skull on the ground and i felt overjoyed#so yeah thats how i never even imagined witches could be evil#until late teens

Dude I literally just started sitting at my desk in the living room the past couple of days instead of dissolving into a puddle of goo in my bed at every opportunity and the change it's done to my mood is like. Almost embarrassing. I went to bed at 12:30 last night, woke at 6am, and still I'm at my desk just like :) what a beautiful day it's going to be.

On some real shit, cooking is so much easier than I had built it up to be in my mind. I mean it helps that at the barest hint that I was thinking of starting to actually learn how to cook, my grandmothers immediately dragged me to the nearest Williams Sonoma and became a triple-headed embodiment of that sales girl's wildest wet dreams. Previously, I'd had a few essentials, but the quality was apparently not up to snuff in grandmother #2's eyes and 1 and 3 were not to be outdone where their last-to-cook granddaughter was concerned. It was an experience tbh. But my kitchen is fully stocked with gadgets and gizmos and some mystical thing called a "pasta pot" that now lives on my stove, so in all, I'm pretty happy! I'm starting back up my cooking lessons with grandmother #2 (lowkey the best cook of the trio) next week after her surgery, and I'm really looking forward to it!

world is cruel but my grandmother's dark brown skin is warm and shes old enough for her hair to be peppered grey and white and theres so much strength in her bones when she squeezes my hand when i sit on the edge of her bed and the skin of her palms is hard and smooth and i get to talk to her and hug her. so consider that

I do think the scariest thing about writing an original novel is that it requires an immense amount of self trust. I have a decent chunk of my novel written already, but i’m not entirely sure how to string everything together. my present narrative illuminates and calls forth the past but when? and how much is revealed each time? and what do I hold back and why? I have an idea, of course, a timeline I want to adhere to, but there are still so many unknown factors. it’s very much an “I’ll figure it out when I get there” situation. and this is where the self trust comes in. I have to trust that if I continue plodding forward, all will be revealed. I have to trust that I can work with a shitty first draft, that my second draft will be better and my third draft will be even better than that. I have to trust that I can tell this story the way I want to tell it and I have to trust that this story is worth being told. I have to trust that I can do this. yikes!!!

Ru(i)ned for Protection AU
When Character A’s grandmother falls ill, they decide to take their place as a seamstress for a small clothing company to help pay the bills. When they arrive at the shop, they get right to laying seams, fastening buttons, and sewing in the small tags to the linings. It was simple work that Character A could do in their sleep, but it paid enough money to make it worthwhile.
The problems only began when customers complained that the new clothing didn’t feel the same -- it was almost like they felt out of place and just “wrong.” Character A studied every single facet of their work and found nothing at fault; stumped, they went to their grandmother and asked for help.
It was then that Character A was taught their first rune mark they had to add to the clothing’s tags for protection. It wasn’t the only rune they were taught, though.
