I really hate pining with all my heart, so here’s an idea: CodyWan who fall in love within the first month of meeting each other and hold hands and give hugs and little nuzzles and everyone else is like ‘yeah. Cody and the General. They sure are friendly…’ but no one says it to them till they overhear it one day and straight up go ‘we got married on month two of dating’ and everyone loses their minds they thought they were in a ‘everyone but them knows they’re married’ AU but they’re actually in a ‘speedrun strangers to old married couple’ AU and they’re so confused.

The Cowboy and the Poet According to De's Characters
He was an old time cowboy Don't you understand
His eyes were sharp as razor blades His face was leather tanned
His toes were pointed inward From a hangin' on a horse
He was an old philosopher of course
He was so thin I swear You could have used him for a whip
He had to drink a beer To keep his breeches on his hips
I knew I had to ask him About the mysteries of life
He spat between his boots And he replied
"It's faster horses
Younger women
Older whiskey
More money
He smiled and all his teeth Were covered with tobacco stains
He said, "It don't do men no good To pray for peace and rain"
"Peace and rain is just a way to say prosperity
And buffalo chips is all it means to me"
I told him I was a poet I was lookin' for the truth
I do not care for horses Whiskey, women, or the loot
I said I was a writer My soul was all on fire
He looked at me And he said, "You are a liar"
"Son, it's faster horses
Younger women
Older whiskey
More money
Well, I was disillusioned If I say the least
I grabbed him by the collar And I jerked him to his feet
There was somethin' cold And shiny laying by my head
So I started to believe The things he said
Well, my poet days're over
And I'm back to bein' me
As I enjoy the peace and comfort of reality
If my boy ever asks me What it is that I have learned
I think that I will readily affirm
"Son, it's faster horses
Younger women
Older whiskey
More money"

the julia post… any chance of some wholesome jude and julia moments in my baby?
oh absolutely, like so many. That’s his MOM 🥲. It’s not a criticism of the book bc I know the main focus was male relationships, but I wish we’d gotten more in-depth with Jude and Julia’s relationship, especially a one-on-one scene with just them and not Harold included.
Speaking of My Baby, there’s actually a scene in the next chapter that’s going to set up a part (one part of many) of Julia’s relationship development with Jude. it’ll be something that Harold wouldn’t be able to relate to but Julia does and therefore Julia has a better understanding of it and how to help Jude deal with it. So your question is very much on time haha
(Also, if you’re the anon who sent in that Julia headcanons ask, don’t worry it’s not being ignored, I’m just preparing the list of headcanons 😉)
(And the other headcanon asks are being prepared too hehe)

Hi, I can't stop thinking about how Seteth not only writes children's books, nor does he simply write lots of them - reading through an entire book he wrote in one sitting is apparently impressive to him.
Seteth writes both collections of short stories as well as mutli-chapter, standalone books judging by the differences in the books that Hilda and Bernadetta illustrated for him.
This guy wrote an entire big-brain book on war tactics, and now he uses those skills to write about lazy foxes and shy historical figures to speak directly to little ones in ways they can understand. He pours himself into writing his new books for children specifically so they have stories and values to cling to and comfort them as they grow and experience turbulent times - taking direct inspiration from how his own daughter held to the ones he made just for her when she wished she could have some new, exciting fairy tale to love in the midst of crushing circumstances but there were none to be found before he filled the void himself.
Don't mind me, I'm just crushing on the 2D dragon man harder every day.

(I'm not sure if you do writing asks, so feel free to disregard if you're not interested 😅)
Happy Storyteller Saturday, Void!
What kind of scene intimidates you most? Do you end up including it anyway (if the story calls for it), or do you do your damndest to avoid it?
oh my gosh!! Happy STS! I’m always down for writing asks :))
This one was kind of tough to think about. At first I was going to say action scenes… there is definitely a lack of them in my writing, as I bet I could count on one hand the amount of fight scenes I’ve actually written, despite having so many in my mind.
Thing is, I still wouldn’t say I’m intimidated by writing something like that. It’s definitely a challenge, but if I needed to, I would do my best to write it.
So what truly intimidates me?
…That One Scene. You know the one. The one that you’ve had envisioned for your character since day one. Something SUPER important—maybe the climax of their character arc, or the moment they realize something terrible. High stakes, high emotions… Something you NEED to hit just right, but you can’t imagine your writing ever doing it justice to how you’ve envisioned it in your mind.
I have several of these. More than one per character sometimes, like for Lora. I can talk about and answer questions about these scenes no problem, but putting it into writing… I don’t want to let myself down, you know? In this case… yea, I am kind of doing my damndest to avoid writing these.
Even the current thing I am working on! I had a dream of where I had this one vivid emotional whump scene that I immediately noted down because I liked the idea so much. …currently, I’ve written nearly 2m words of buildup just to get to that scene. Partially because I want it to hit harder, partially because I am avoiding writing That One Scene I have.
BUT I AM FORCING MYSELF TO FINISH THIS ONESHOT!!! I will write this scene!!!!
thanks for the ask :))) <33

In other news, I was once told by some straight girl on tiktok to [GAME OVER] myself because I ship Will x Mike and Steve x Eddie... so uh, gotta love the homophobes...
Also this chick shipped Robin x Steve and I'm fucking SICK. I AM SICK. That's just blatant homophobia.... we can't let them keep getting away with this.
