when richie’s a young adult and he’s living alone on halloween kids in his apartment building love coming to his door because every year he dresses up in a really cool costume and he always plays a character, putting on a perfect dracula voice when he answers the door, or making super realistic monster growls before he cracks the door open, putting on a perfect ghostly voice as he asks “whoooo iiiiis iiiiit?” and the kids LOVE it, and richie himself loves it when he can hear the kids giggling through the door, or when they run laughing down the hall after collecting their candy.

richie tozier is like some kind of corvid.

he collects things, in a sense. nothing in particular, just things that catch his eye.

when the losers go on adventures he gets pieces of scrap metal or cool things people have dropped- wherever they are.

he walks around craft stores and grabs stray buttons or faux jewels. he grabs feathers and paint chips, anything he likes.

sometimes during lunch hour at school, richie will dig through empty desks and grab things left behind. colorful pencils or erasers he can turn into stamps- paperclips or pins, sometimes even pieces of scrap paper with doodles.

it's just something that runs in the uris family, they're very calm and quiet people with a lot of secrets and unspoken words. every time stanley talks more than he should or louder than he should he gets this "be quiet, it's inappropriate" look so stanley just behaves and observes

i like to think that richie is actually very good at scrabble, which is surprising to the losers because even though they all already know that he’s very intelligent, richie’s vocabulary consists mostly of just different ways to say “fuck”.

when the losers have game night together they usually go for something more exciting like charades (gets very heated), pictionary (also gets very intense), or wii sport games (friendships have been nearly broken over wii tennis) but one night they decide to do scrabble instead.

richie absolutely dominates the game. he’s casually throwing out words that no one else has ever even heard of, and they’ve got stanley looking up the words in a dictionary to double check that richie’s using actual real words and not just fucking with them.

after the rest of the losers embarrassingly lose against richie, richie happily suggests that they play again next time! eddie burns the board.
