Romans 12:1-2. “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV)
“Keeping a Clear Mind” By In Touch Ministries:
“Have you submitted your mind to the Lord?”
“The human mind is an amazing creation of God. Nothing on earth can match its capabilities or creativity. It generates feelings, thoughts, words, attitudes, and behaviors—who we become and what we achieve are largely due to how and what we think. So, doesn’t it make sense to let the One who created us guide our thought processes? To do that, we need to align our mind with God’s Word and allow His Spirit to influence us. As this happens, God gives discernment, empowering us to look beyond the surface and view situations as they really are—in other words, as He sees them. Then we can distinguish not just between right and wrong but also between good and best. Yet such clear, focused thinking doesn’t just happen. We must deliberately choose and diligently maintain it. So let’s carefully consider what we allow into our mind. Ask yourself, Is this helping me become the person God wants me to be, or is it hindering the process? Though we have a responsibility to participate in the transformation, a renewed mind ultimately comes from the Lord. True change requires full dependence on Him, not on our own abilities and strength. Ask God to help you lean on Him and fill your mind with His Word.”

Four Descriptors of the Man or Woman of God
I have two objectives with this post. To be biblical To not be overly complicated. What are the best descriptors of someone who walks with God?  It would hard to do better than the description of Job given three times in the early chapters of the book of Job. Let’s try them on. “There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job;and that man was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning…

Isaiah 31: When the Chips Are Down
Our real crisis is always going to be about faith, about being more impressed with human plans, human ingenuity, and human control rather than God’s wisdom, God’s character, God’s promises, and God’s will. #Isaiah31 #FactsofFaith
Factors of Faith Faith is a progressive work of God Whose divine action is met with human response—either to restoration or to resistance. Content: Belief is always in something and saving faith begins with hearing and understanding the Gospel Consent: But intellectual assent is not faith. Only when the heart is warmed and the Gospel is received does faith begin. Receiving necessarily also…

Sacrifice: A Mystery That Turns Murderers Into Missionaries
Sacrifice: A Mystery That Turns Murderers Into Missionaries
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2, NKJV) While it may be that 1 Corinthians 13 is…

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” —Romans 12:1-2 (NASB1995)
“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” —Matthew 16:25 (NASB1995)
“You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” —Psalm 16:11 (NASB1995)
“The Blessing of Sacrifice” By In Touch Ministries:
“Though it may be difficult, we are called to follow Jesus' example and surrender everything to God.”
“In the Old Testament, sacrifice was a means of atonement. When a person sinned, he or she brought an animal to the altar, and through its death, reconciliation was accomplished. What, then, does today’s passage mean when Paul urges believers to “present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice” (v. 1)?
Thankfully, there is no need for our blood to be shed; Jesus took care of that when He died on the cross for our sins. Instead, what Paul means is that our lives should be surrendered to the Lord. A surrendered life involves commitment. It’s a decision to defer to God’s will and His Holy Spirit instead of following our own preferences. Every aspect of our being—body, soul, and spirit—is to be a living sacrifice.
Though this may sound dreary, true freedom and joy are found when we yield to Christ. The Lord promised His followers that abundant life comes from losing ourselves in Him (Matthew 16:25). Psalm 16:11 says it best: “In Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.”
Becoming a living sacrifice sounds like a tall order—and it is. But it’s a call we face with Jesus by our side. Remember: He is our constant companion and wants to help us.”

How to Go to Hell
How to Go to Hell
And what is that “gradual way”? It is the way of compromise. It is the way of allowing the world to squeeze us into its mold. It is the way of not being conformed to the image of the Son (Romans 8 and 12:1-2) It is the way of rocky and thorny soil (Mark 4); the way that is not bold for the King and Kingdom (Matthew 10:33). Here’s the shocking and sobering truth: It is easier to listen to…
