Tenth Doctor
Tumblr media
The Doctor looked so uncomfortable.
He was pressed into the corner of the conference room, unable to escape the chattering of a persistent woman. She laughed ridiculously, shaking her whole body until she was bumping into him. The Doctor shook her off with a forced smile.
(Y/N) watched them from afar, perhaps enjoying his state of panic – very rarely do you see the Doctor knocked down a peg.
Though it was peculiar to see him so resistant of a flirtatious encounter. He was always sweeping strangers off their feet with talk of space and how brilliant he was. But right then there was nothing but strain on his face as the touchy woman sought his arm.
“I should take pity on him,” (Y/N) thought, sipping the remaining of her cocktail and envisioning a list of things the Doctor could do to repay her kindness.
She nudged through the crowd of babbling businessmen and their escorts to reach the corner of the room, starting to hear the high pitch voice of the confounding woman.
“Oh, stop!” she shrieked in laughter, “You couldn’t possibly have anything else to do tonight.”
“W-Well…” the Doctor stuttered, “I’ve got people to see, lords to meet, p-planets to save.” He frantically sought an excuse to escape.
(Y/N) could have sworn she watched the clouds part and sunshine fall on his face as the Doctor spotted her arrival. He practically yelled at her.
“(Y/N)!”
The insistent woman turned brazenly, a hand against her collarbone.
“Hi there,” (Y/N) said brightly.
“Hello, darling,” the Doctor said, pushing to reach her side. “How are you?”
But he didn’t give her a chance to respond as he gripped her waist and pulled her to his lips. He kissed her hard and fierce, leaving no room to question how he felt about her. (Y/N) was shocked into a standstill, hands braced against his arms as he leaned into her hungrily.
It was all-consuming, his fingers digging into her sides, holding her in place as he claimed her mouth.
The pair of them were so absorbed in each other’s embrace that they completely missed the departure of the flustered woman.
It might’ve been minutes later that (Y/N) pushed against the Doctor’s arms, gasping for air. “Woah…”
The Doctor instantly pulled away, believing that he had overstepped beyond repair. He rubbed at his face, fingers lingering over his lips as he fumbled over something to say.
“I… you – I’m sorry, (Y/N),” and he looked it too. “I couldn’t get that infernal woman to leave and then you… I didn’t mean to come at you like that.”
(Y/N) had a hand to her chest, chasing the rapid beating of her heart. “Um…” she gulped, “I didn’t mind.”
His head was downturned, but his eyes flew to hers. “Sorry?”
She shook her head, “I didn’t mind.”
He got a wonderous look on his face. And (Y/N) had the sneaking suspicion there was a reason he didn’t fancy going out with the stranger.
Eleventh Doctor
Tumblr media
His mind was reeling, jumping from one scenario to another. It was making his jittery movements more erratic, his fingers dancing about as he saw his thoughts before him.
He was starting to sweat with the anticipation, “By George,” he muttered, “I’m in a right state.”
“Sorry?” (Y/N) asked, lounging near the tardis. It was stuck in a quantum lock by a devious friend of the Doctor’s, one that peevishly sought to jest his companions with silly requests.
The Doctor winced at her words, on the brink of bolting, “I’ve got to do something.” He rubbed his fingertips together, inching towards her like every step was crunching over glass. “And in all my years, it’s comparable to some of the most terrifying things I’ve ever done.”
“Are you alright?” (Y/N) asked, standing to meet him, “You’re a bit jumpy.”
He gave a breathy laugh, “I’m just twitterpated.”
She scrunched her brow, “Okay,” she eyed his nervous gaze.
He licked his lips, “See the problem is I’ve made a deal with the magistrate,” he gestured towards the palace behind them, “And there’s no way we can unlock the tardis without me meeting the terms.”
“Alright,” (Y/N) smiled, “What is he asking you to do?”
“Something I’ve given a great deal of thought to,” he bounced on the balls of his feet, “And my friend finds it appropriate to make it a requirement for our escape.”
“Can I help?”
He laughed again, high and nervous, “Bear with me.” He reached her standing figure, “This isn’t quite how I imagined it, but… right.” He went to cup her face with nimble fingers, fear lining his gaze.
(Y/N) grew worried, reaching to grab his arm, but before she could voice her concern, the Doctor put his lips on hers. Gentle and apprehensive and sweet at first, he pulled away just an inch – only to plant a stronger kiss right after. It was as if he wanted to capture one memorable kiss before the possible rejection that might follow.
He had to pry himself away, stumbling back and ashamedly looking at her as the tardis doors swung open as if on command.
“I’m sorry,” he said, twisting his fingers.
She stared at him with wide eyes, “You daft old man.” His continual look of shame brought a smile to her face, “I would have agreed if you just asked.”
His posture straightened out, surprised, “You… you didn’t mind.”
“Doctor,” she laughed, “I’ve known about your little crush since our first adventure. You’re so terribly obvious.”
He started to smile, “I always thought myself mysterious and debonair.”
“And who was I to crush that confidence.” She went for his hand, “You would have thought he asked you to wipe my memory or send me away with how scared you looked.”
“You happen to be a very scary person.”
“Said no one, ever.”
He shrugged, giddily enjoying his hand in hers, “We’re holding hands.”
She laughed, “Well spotted, Doctor.”
Jack
Tumblr media
They raced down the corridor, blaring red lights illuminating their path. The terrifying sound of dozens of army boots pounded away behind them.
Jack grappled for her hand.
“Just around this corner!” he yelled over the sirens, “There’s gotta be a way out.”
“What if there isn’t?”
“Don’t think like that,” Jack cried, swinging around the corner.
They came face to face with a high security door. It was sealed airtight, powered by an electrical panel.
“Dammit,” Jack ground out, pounding on the metal door, once – twice. “Right.” He tore at the electrical panel, revealing a mess of buzzing wires. A few began sparking as he tugged at them, whipping his hand away at singeing his fingers.
“We don’t have a way to open it,” (Y/N) muttered, feeling her gut sink at the realization that they were trapped with the inevitable chasing after them.
Jack rolled up his sleeves, “Don’t worry, sweetheart.” He gave her a wink, “I told you I’d get us out of here – a few wires aren’t going to stop us.”
“But you’ll be electric-“ She was cut off with a scream as Jack reached in and yanked a fistful of wires out of the box.
His teeth clenched, his body seizing as volts of lightning shot through him, effectively stopping his heart. He flew to the ground, singed and smoking, completely still as the life left him.
(Y/N) cried out, falling to her knees, “Jack,” she gasped. “Oh my god, Jack!” She reached for his chest, ignoring how the door unsealed itself, snapping open with a hiss.
“Come on,” she said shakily, placing her fists over his heart and beginning to push down. “I swear to god, Jack, if you die because of opening a bloody door…”
She cupped his face, kissing him gently and blowing air into his lungs. He didn’t stir for another minute, the taste of salty tears on his lips as she began to cry above him.
It was not how she envisioned their first kiss.
“Please,” she begged, “Please, wake up.”
And with an almighty breath, Jack sat up, crying out, “Woah!” He planted his hands on his chest, wincing, “Did you give me CPR?”
(Y/N) had her hands over her mouth, staring at him in horror.
He was touching his lips then, “Were we kissing?” He gave her a raised eyebrow, “And I missed it?”
She smacked him across the arm, “Why are you acting like that? You just died, Jack!”
“Yeah, about that…” he climbed to his feet, “I sort of can’t – you know – die.”
(Y/N) glared at him, “Would’ve been nice to know beforehand.”
He shrugged, giving her that charismatic smile, “I have a flare for the dramatic.” He took a step towards her, “Now, about that kiss.”
“You mean the CPR I was giving you to save your life.”
“Potato, patato,” he grinned, “I think we should do it again sometime.”
She shook her head, unable to contain her smile, “Unbelievable.”
Rory
Tumblr media
They walked as inconspicuously as possible, not wishing to draw the attention of the crowds. Rory had her wrist in his hand, paving the way through the masses. They tried to hide their growing looks of panic, taking short, shallow breaths.
“Do they know we’re here?” (Y/N) asked quietly near his back.
He swallowed, “I hope not.”
“Very reassuring,” she muttered, whipping her eyes around. “We’ve got to get out of here.”
“I was just thinking the same thing.”
He led her towards the nearest corridor, checking to see if any uniforms were waiting just around the corner. They moved quicker, jogging around to find the exit. It was just another day in the life of adventure with the Doctor.
And what could be more brilliant than getting lost on a foreign planet without any idea where the tardis was.
“Do you hear that?” (Y/N) tugged on Rory’s hand, pausing their steps.
He scrunched his brow, “Reinforcements.” Heavy footfalls seemed to come from all around them. “They must be changing shifts.”
(Y/N) spotted a helmet turning the corner on their left, “Incoming.”
Rory cursed, looking towards the right and seeing the same thing. Soldiers were winding their way through the traveling people.
“What do we do?” (Y/N) whispered, feeling Rory’s fingers fidget against her wrist. “They’re going to spot us for sure.”
Rory looked unsure of himself, pulling (Y/N) towards him, “Do you trust me?”
“What?” She eyed his apprehension, “Of course I trust you.”
He gulped, pressing her flush against him and waiting for the soldiers to be mere feet away. Finally he took a shaky breath and twisted her around, pressing her into the wall behind them. He slammed his lips onto hers, shielding as much of her body with his.
She was hesitant at first but went along with the plan as soon as her shock wore off. She wound her fingers into his hair, keeping him against her mouth. They melded together, hot and heavy against the wall as groups of people wanders past.
It was a lifetime before they pulled apart for some air.
“Well, that was…” (Y/N) started off.
Rory blinked, all in a daze, “Yeah…”
She bit her lip, “I think we’re in the clear.”
“Right, of course,” he cleared his throat. “But when we get back…”
She raised her eyebrows, “Pick up where we left off?”
“Yes, please.”

Who is he?
eleventh doctor x fem!reader
Summary: Y/n finds herself displaced in a different universe. There, she meets the doctor. One problem...He's already met her.
(part two to Who is she? But you don't need to read part one to understand.)
based on the 'reader hops through the doctors time stream' trope hehe - its my fav, what can i say?
Tumblr media
Y/n landed with a harsh thump and the odd golden light that had encircled her body began dissipating almost immediately after.
"Blimey, my head." She groaned, groggily. But she didn't have much time to focus on her soon-to-be bruised body as her attention was shifted to her surroundings. Her eyes narrowed as she looked around, having no luck in finding anything familiar.
Y/n was cautious when she stood on her feet, and even more so when she crept around the corridor she had found herself in. Her steps halted at the sound of mixed voices. Still feeling a little nauseated, her hand clung onto the corner wall with a tight grip to keep her situated, while her head peered around as stealthily as she could master.
A tall man, dressed in tweed and a questionable bow tie, was flapping his arms around happily, conversing with an equally tall man and a redheaded woman.
The bow tie man hopped around a circular table, smiling wide and pressing buttons. She watched, uncertain at what to do, when his back suddenly tensed and his smile dropped a little, only to come back brighter than before. His head snapped up and he locked eyes on Y/n, making her audibly gasp. Her feet stuck to the ground and refused to move - despite her minds best persuading efforts.
"Y/n!" He yelled with glee, his own two legs running to her, arms opened wide, but slowing at the fear on her face. "Y/n?"
She gulped, feigning confidence as she demanded with force. "Who are you? How do you know who I am?"
And with those simple words, the Doctor's hearts broke. His lips parted slightly, attempting to release words, or even just a noise, but no sound could escape. Meanwhile his arms fell from the welcoming stance they had naturally taken.
Growing impatient; also ignoring the own erratic beat of her heart, Y/n crossed her arms across her chest and raised an unimpressed brow. "Well?" She prompted.
"Y/n," He began slowly, words spilling out in nothing more than a hushed whisper. "Please tell me you know who I am."
She observed him for a few seconds, her eyes raking down his strangely attired body before meeting his eyes once more. "Never seen you before in my life." She concluded.
A strangled noise pushed through his throat and came out of his mouth as he stared ar her, desperately clinging onto the hope that this was just a cruel trick. But when he looked into her eyes, he could see the utter confusion and perhaps a little bit of fear that he'd never seen in her before.
And when she looked into his, she was unable to see the sorrow which now roamed in the green.
"Doctor," The redhead called, hand wrapped tightly around the other man's as she dragged him to join the doctor and Y/n. "What's going on?"
The doctor stilled shortly, before allowing a small smile to grace his features. A smile that could now pass as genuine to Y/n, but only now that she hadn't the faintest idea of who he was. In the past, or her future, depending on how you look at it, Y/n would be the first to see through his tries at acting okay, and she'd offer comfort and love.
So now, when he concealed the pain he held with a tight lipped smile, and she didn't say a word, his hearts broke further.
As his hearts held so much love for her, but in her eyes, he was merely a stranger.
"Y/n, meet Amy." He said softly, hand gesturing to the woman. "And Rory."
"What do you mean?" Amy quizzed, Rory sporting the same puzzled expression as his wife. "We've already met. Tons of times."
"You have. But she hasn't." The Doctor vaguely explained.
Y/n huffed, squinting at the exchange before finally losing her tether and snapping. "Would someone, please, tell me what the hell is going on here? I just want to go home."
The Doctor rubbed a hand down his face, needing to think about how to articulate the words he was preparing to speak. "Y/n, I'm so sorry. But you're a long way away from home now."
Her head whipped to him fast, missing the sympathetic glances Amy and Rory shared. "What do you mean? How far?"
He sniffed, tilting his head to the side, his face also taken over by pity. "You've travelled to a different universe." He stated, words spoken soft as if to lessen the impact. "And travel between parallel worlds is impossible."
Y/n's eyes filled with tears as she shook her head. "No, it's not!" She claimed, denying his words. "You just said I did it, so take me back."
"I can't. You're an exception. It should be impossible - even to this day I'm at a loss of how you managed it." Though he couldn't tell her, at that moment, how grateful he was that she did.
I did intend for this to be longer, but considering I haven't posted for a while, due to starting some medication that's making me a little bit drowsy for a while, I figured this would be okay :). First 11 fic. Hopefully more to come.

Tally- Doctor Who.
Summary: You’re running from the silence. You’ve been separated from the doctor and the Ponds and life seems to be slowly coming to an end. What if the madman doesn’t come to save you?
Warnings: Fear, pain, mentions of death, dehydration, exhaustion, pet names, mentions of hallucinations, crying.
Pairing: Eleventh Doctor x GN!reader. (Platonic or otherwise.)
Word count: 1,151.
Tumblr media
The rushing of blood echoed in my ears and my limbs ached with exhaustion. I had been running for god knows how long and I just seemed to get more lost. I allowed myself a break, falling to my knees in the fine, desert sand, chest heaving as I caught my breath. Dizzying pain ripped through my ribs from the stitch I had; I knew I couldn't stop for long. I didn't know what I was running from, but the fear that had acclimated forced me to run. Whatever it was, my body was in fight or flight and my senses told me it was something life-threatening.
An assortment of tally marks stained my skin, and though I knew I was the one who put them there, I couldn't remember why and that chilled me to the bone. The marker pen in my pocket seemed to dig into my flesh as my ears caught a gurgling sound behind me. My head turned slowly to face the noise as my hand grappled to pull the pen from my jeans as the creature came into view. My body felt as though it was sinking into the ground as I scrambled against the ground.
The wind seemed to pick up out of nowhere as it lumbered closer to me, kicking sand into the air around us. I groaned in pain as it blew into my eyes, blinking furiously.
My mind felt fuzzy as the sand finally cleared and I sat up, shaking my head to clear it before standing. My heart was beating a million miles an hour, but I didn't understand why. Fresh markings littered my skin and I stared at them, questions and fears rolling around in my head. My eyes watered as I scraped through my mind to work out what was happening but all I could work out was I was terrified and whatever I was terrified of was causing me to lose my memory.
I let out a few sobs as I fought off my panic before huffing out a long sigh. Now wasn't the time to break down, now was the time I needed to run and find someone who knew what was happening. I had to keep moving. I was in a desert with no food or water and was constantly moving. I wasn't stupid, I knew I had days to live in this condition and I didn't know how long I had been running for.
In the past hour, I had gained a total of 11 extra tallies despite the empty desert around me. My legs were barely holding me up, knees trembling with exertion but I forced myself to keep going. I longed for the wheezing of that beautiful blue box to fill the dry air, desperate to feel the cold metal of her interior on my scorched flesh. And that madman's voice to just tell me everything was okay, that he had fixed everything and I was safe but I had slowed to a stumble.
I didn't have the energy to run anymore and soon I would collapse, the sand would cover me and I would be forgotten to the world. There was no TARDIS on the horizon, no Doctor to save me and no Ponds to make me feel better.
Precious tears streamed down my face as my body gasped for breath, pain flaring through my body as my knees buckled beneath me. I didn't want to die, not like this and not in such a beautifully dangerous place but as hope drained from my body, I was slowly coming to terms with it.
"Y/N!" My head snapped up at the voice and my eyes zeroed in on the gorgeous blue monument ahead of me. "Don't give up, keep going," I scoffed at the hallucination of the Doctor, of course, it was him my dying brain would imagine. "You're nearly there now, Love." I clambered to my feet unsteadily, if I was going out then I might as well use every ounce of energy.
The sun glared into my eyes as I trudged along, feet slipping against mounds of sand. The TARDIS seemed to get closer and I had a horrible feeling that as soon as I reached her, I was going to die. She was like my light that people warned you not to walk into. So be it, I'd die happy if they were my afterlife.
"Nearly there, come on, you can do it." He coaxed me closer, holding open the door as I kicked up sand in my fight to reach him. I held my hand out towards the Timelord, his hallucination blurred by tears as I closed my eyes to welcome death.
But death never came. Instead, my hand was met with the calloused skin of another as fingers curled around my own. He was never a hallucination.
My eyes shot open as the hand pulled me forward, the familiar creaking of the TARDIS door behind me, as I all but fell into the police box and into waiting arms. The pen in my pocket clattered to the floor as I gripped the tweed jacket and buried my head against the time lord.
"I know, you're safe, Love, just breathe." My sobs echoed through the console as my body became overwhelmed with relief and pain, dragging me through a tidal wave of emotion.
I gasped as we sunk to the floor; pain, exhaustion, confusion, fear, relief, and happiness all at once. The chest beneath my head vibrated as softly spoken words carried me through the feelings.
"I've got you, you're safe," he whispered into my ear, my gasps settling to shuddering breaths. "I'm so sorry Y/N," my body leant against him bonelessly as his hand smoothed over my hair, the other rubbing gentle circles into my back. "That's it, good job, Love." Silence followed as I clung to him, the ambience of the TARDIS comforting me. After a few minutes, I tilted my head to look into those beautifully old eyes and smiled weakly.
"Knew you'd find me," I whispered, ignoring my hoarse throat. "Cutting a bit short weren't you." I teased, his green eyes glazed with tears as he smiled down at me, wiping my cheeks gently.
"We had some trouble," he chuckled, "Someone didn't want us to find you but I couldn't let that slide now could I? Not for one of my favourite humans eh?" I forced my arms to wrap around him, gripping the back of his jacket in a hug and buried my head in his neck as the past few days caught up with me.
I was safe now, my body had clocked on to that fact. I couldn't help how my eyes slipped closed as I relaxed into the Timelord's grip, finally letting my body and mind shut down to recover from the ordeal.
He would always save me, no matter what.

Anniversary
11th Doctor x (fem)reader
Tumblr media
Part One: The Girls Who Waited
(This part is somewhat a rewrite of The Eleventh Hour)
Don’t let the fluffy title fool you, this isn’t just gonna be a fluffy one shot. This is a multi part story that I randomly got the idea for!
Characters: 11th Doctor, mentions of 10 and Rose, Amy Pond, Rory Williams, and you! There are side characters but you guys are what’s important
Warnings: near death experience not really in this part but in future parts, cursing maybe in the future? Idk if I think of warning I’ll add them. Also there might be typos even though I proofread this
Paring: 11th Doctor x reader, Amy x Rory, Amy x reader(platonic)
Part two when it’s posted —> [Part Two]
Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had been traveling with the Doctor for 2 years. Well, 1 year and 360 days, to be exact. Your run-away-iversary, as you called it, was coming up soon and the Doctor had been taking you to amazing planets to meet the nicest people in the universe as a week long present. Honestly, with how he was treating you these past two days when the week started, you’d think you two were dating from an outside view. Of course you weren’t, the Doctor wasn’t one for dating humans.
Not that you didn’t want to date him. You very much did. You were in love with him the moment you met him, but you only admitted it to yourself 360 days ago. It was your one year run-away-iversary with him, he had dropped Amy and Rory off at home and taken you to a planet consisting entirely of fancy space cuisine, the people who lived there specialized in it. He insisted he was doing it because you had brought up the anniversary (which, to be fair, you did but it was mostly as a joke) but you both knew he was just as excited to celebrate, if not more excited, than you were.
It was when he spat the champagne the waiter gave him back into his cup and started complaining about the taste that you declared your love for him in your head for only you to hear. To this day you still didn’t know why that was the moment that solidified it for you, but it was.
However, you knew you needed to keep your mouth shut. The Doctor had opened up to you previously about past humans he had fallen in love with, and what happened to them. How he never got to truly express to the ever famous Rose Tyler what his true feelings were, and never would get that chance to. You could practically see it in his eyes as he was telling you that he was thinking “never again. I will never fall for a human ever again.” And you loved your Doctor too much to put him through conflict like that.
Not that you thought you had a chance, you definitely thought he was out of your league, but on the off chance he did have the same feelings as you, you didn’t want to tell him and make him decide if he wanted to lose someone again. You were human after all, you had come to terms very quickly that he would most definitely outlive you.
So you kept your mouth shut, and admired him from afar. Amy caught you more than a couple times staring at the Doctor as he explained something you couldn’t and wouldn’t care to fully understand, simply admiring the way his hands flailed about or how his coat swished every time he turned while pacing. She would always make fun of you for it when you were alone, but you knew it was all in good fun. Besides, she knew about your massive crush on the TimeLord. She was the entire reason you were traveling with him in the first place.
-15 years, 360 days ago, Amy’s childhood home-
“I’m telling you, Y/N, it’s not just a crack!”
“And I’m telling you that it is!” You and your somewhat new friend playfully bickered in her bedroom while you tried to fall asleep.
You met Amelia when she moved to Leadworth a few months back, and so far were one of her only friends despite being one year older than her. This other girl Melody, who went by Mel, also seemed to like her, but they hadn’t hung out as much as you and Amelia had.
“You sound just like my aunt,” Amelia pouted, “it’s not just a crack, Y/N. You can hear voices from it.”
“I know, voices telling you that some prisoner zero has escaped,” you sighed, “but how can there be a prison that lost a prisoner inside your wall?”
“I don't know. Who do I even ask for help?”
“Well it’s saying a prisoner escaped, so maybe a policeman?” As if on cue, you and Amelia jumped as you heard a crash outside. You looked at each other for a moment before running to the window and seeing a tipped over blue police box, smoking from the inside and on top of what used to be a shed. You both looked at each other again, nodded, and ran downstairs to grab your shoes and flashlights.
Once you were outside, things happened extremely quickly. A man climbed out, soaking wet (apparently he was in the swimming pool… or the library?), asking for an apple before running into a tree. You and Amelia helped him inside, you handing him a towel to dry his hair while she grabbed an apple for him.
He didn’t like the apple, spat it out in fact, and asked for yogurt. Then he spat that out too and asked Amelia to fry something since she was Scottish (he also kept saying things that made it sound like he was just reborn, like having a new mouth or his steering being off). After bacon was a bust, Amelia and you tried baked beans, or bread on butter, but that only ended with a gross mess in the sink and a broken plate in Amelia’s yard. Eventually the man took matters into his own hands, and now sat across from you two, dipping fish fingers into a bowl of custard while you and Amelia ate some vanilla ice cream straight from the tub.
You held back a laugh as the man took a big gulp of the custard, bringing it down to reveal his upper lip was now coated in the thick and yellow liquid. To be honest, it actually grossed you out a bit thinking about how that food combination tasted, but you tried not to think about it too hard.
“You’re funny.” Amelia spoke up to break the silence, you nodding in agreement.
“Am I,” he asked, swallowing the food in his mouth, “good. Funny’s good. What’s your name?”
“Amelia Pond.”
“And you?” He looked at you, making you tense up. You had almost forgotten you were visible.
“Uh, Y/N. Y/N L/N.”
“Oh those are brilliant names,” he smiled as he took another bite, “Amelia Pond and Y/N L/N. Like names from a fairytale. Are we in Scotland, Amelia and Y/N?”
“No,” Amelia sighed, “had to move to England. It’s rubbish!” You rolled your eyes, nudging her lightly. You knew England wasn’t her favorite place but you thought she was starting to warm up with you by her side.
“Hmm, what about your guys mom and dad? Are they upstairs? Thought we would have woken them by now.”
“My mum and dad are at my house, I’m just sleeping over.”
“And I don’t have a mum and dad… just an aunt.”
“Hm,” he smiled at her, “I don’t even have an aunt.”
“You’re lucky.” Amelia and you said at the same time, making him laugh.
“I know,” he took another bite, “so where’s she?”
“Out.”
“Out? Has she left you all alone?”
“She said it was ok since I’m a year older and more responsible,” You answered this time, making him look at you, “I think it’s rubbish, but it’s not like we’re scared.”
“Of course you're not, you two aren’t scared of anything! Box falls out of the sky, man falls out of box, man eats fish custard,” he took another bite, almost as if to prove a point, “and look at you! Just sitting there! So you know what I think?”
“….what?”
“Must be a hell of a scary crack in your wall.”
Once again, everything moved all too quickly. The man, who was called The Doctor, called the crack something along the lines of two things in time that shouldn’t have touched. He opened the crack with a tiny tool he called a sonic screwdriver, and you actually heard what Amelia had told you about. Something saying “Prisoner zero has escaped,” and the Doctor thought that said prisoner must have come through the crack and was hiding somewhere in the house. As terrifying of a thought as that was, being near the man who you hoped knew what he was doing did put your mind at ease.
However, as quickly as he arrived, he had to leave. Something about the police box, which was apparently a spaceship, recalibrating and trying to take off. You and Amelia asked if you could come, but he said it was too dangerous. He promised to come back, though, and you truly and honestly believed him. Enough so that, after his ship magically disappeared, you both ran upstairs and packed a bag before going back into the yard and waiting for his return.
Twelve years later, you worked the last few hours of your shift at a diner downtown. It was a small community, and it seemed like every other customer was bringing up yours and Amelia’s (who now went by just Amy) imaginary friend, The Raggedy Doctor. Of course, you and Amy knew it wasn’t imaginary.
You two were forever known as the girls who wouldn’t let go of their childhoods, refusing to admit that the funny man from space was a figment of your imagination. Eventually you and Amy just stopped trying to convince people it was real, because you both had accepted that no one would believe you. Hell, Rory didn’t even believe you two, and he listened to everything Amy said. She always told you and Rory that he’d come back one day and, while you always agreed with her, there was a part of you that was afraid your Raggedy Doctor had forgotten you two and you’d be left behind.
Right after dropping off a booth's food, you felt your phone buzz in your back pocket. You weren’t supposed to look at it while you were working, but you had been working an extra long shift and felt you deserved a small break. You slipped into the staff bathroom and locked the door, pulling out your phone and opening it.
From: Amy
Emergency!! Call me right now!!
You rolled your eyes, this was probably something stupid involving Rory that she wanted you to settle. You pressed call and put the phone to your ear, the other like ringing for less than a second before she picked up.
“Y/N, you're not gonna believe this.”
“What is it now? You know I’m at work, i can't just take calls-“
“The Doctor is literally in my hallway, cuffed to my radiator.”
“….” You were stunned into silence. This had to be a joke, a stupid prank.
“Y/N he came back,” Amy took your silence as a sign to keep talking, “he just ran in yelling something about Prisoner Zero while I was getting ready to go to a party and I just whacked him with a cricket bat! I’m dressed as a police woman right now so I think I’ll interrogate him when he wakes up.”
“…is it really him?” You whispered, those four words being the only things you could even think of. He actually came back? Sure he was twelve years late but hey, better late than never right?
“I don't know,” Amy sighed, “he doesn’t look even five minutes older than he was twelve years ago. I’m not sure what to think.”
“Well if it is really him you whacked him and cuffed him for no reason,” you finally came to your senses, scolding her, “I can't leave work early so just keep him there for now and make sure he doesn’t have a concussion! I’ll be there after my shift ends in two hours.” You hung up before she could reply, quickly leaving the bathroom to finish your shift.
The next two hours went by painstakingly slow. Especially the last thirty minutes, when the tv in the diner started displaying what looked like an eyeball and saying “Prisoner Zero will vacate the human residence, or the human residence will be incinerated“ over and over, the radio saying the same. You tried calling Amy to ask if she was having the same problem, but your phone would repeat the same phrase over and over whenever you pressed call.
When your shift was finally over, you threw your apron on the hook, grabbed your bag, and booked it towards Amy’s house. You were running across a small grass field when the light shifted, making you pause and turn to see the sun changing shape and color. Everyone around you was taking pictures of it, but you couldn't have cared less about it. You had much more important things to do.
You caught sight of a man running across the field as well, grabbing a phone out of a nurses hand and looking at it. You immediately recognized the nurse as Rory, and started running over to ask him if he had heard from Amy at all, only to stop when you looked at the man who had taken the phone, and Amy now running over as well.
“The suns going out,” hearing the man’s voice only confirmed it for you, which made you start running to him, “and you’re taking a picture of a man and his dog. Why?” Amy met up with you as The Doctor shoved the phone back into Rory’s hand.
“I- Uh, because he’s-“
“In the hospital, in a coma.” The Doctor spoke at the same time as him. You looked him up and down as Amy walked over to introduce Rory to him. He was exactly the same as he was twelve years ago, Amy wasn’t wrong. Same torn up shirt, same slightly too long dress pants, same hair, same everything. This was The Doctor, no doubt. He came back. You teared up, covering your mouth as you tried to hold back the rivers threatening to spill from your eyes.
“Doctor, this is Rory,” Amy introduced, “he’s my… friend.”
“Boyfriend.”
“Friend.”
“Excellent,” he froze, looking over at you, “why is that woman looking at me and crying?”
“Doctor,” you muttered, stepping closer and pulling your hands away from your face to reach for him, “y-you finally came back….”
“….Y/N?” He hesitantly asked, now looking you up and down. Unlike him, you had changed drastically. Your hair was a different color, not like Amy’s that had stayed a fiery red all these years. Obviously you were taller, and right now you were wearing a 1950s style diner waitress dress.
“I can't believe you actually came back,” you laughed, jumping forward and hugging him as tight as you could, “I thought you forgot about us!”
“Oh of course I didn’t,” he hugged back immediately, rubbing your back quickly, “I just got the timing off. It’s only been a few minutes for me but years for you…”
“Well clearly,” you laughed, pulling away and holding onto his shoulders, “your clothes are still damp! From the library swimming pool!”
“And look at you,” he looked you up and down again, rubbing your arms, “all grown up! I see you and Amy are still friends!”
“I never left her side, she needed someone to back her up on her stories about you.”
“Speaking of,” Amy interrupted, “Prisoner zero, twenty minutes till the end of the world, remember?”
“Right,” The Doctor let you go and turned to the man Rory had taken a picture of, “let’s do this.
You couldn’t exactly follow what happened after. The Doctor saved the world from Prisoner Zero and made sure the aliens looking for it never would return to Earth again. He had finally changed clothes, too, and now sported a tweed jacket, suspenders, and bow tie that he had totally stolen from the hospital.
He was gone before you knew it, and you and Amy were running back to her house to hopefully finally hitch a ride on his ship like he had promised. But, when you started rounding the corner to her backyard, you heard a noise you hadn’t heard in years, but one you recognized all too well. Once you got to the backyard, he was gone.
Admittedly, you cried. You cried a lot. But it was only for the first few days after he left again, after that you accepted it all and moved on. To your surprise, nearly everyone in town continued on as normal. That day wasn’t known as “the day aliens literally came down to earth” as it should have been, it was “the day the sun looked funny” as if people had just forgotten or chosen to ignore the whole giant floating eyeball alien thing. You, Amy, and Rory, however, knew the truth of what happened that day, and it made the three of you incredibly close. Closer than you were before. They both went to you when they were fighting, Rory enlisted your help to steal one of Amy’s rings so he could get the right size to propose to her, and you were with Amy when she picked out her wedding dress. And two years after prisoner zero, you were struggling to fall asleep despite needing to be up early to help with Amy and Rory’s wedding. You were Amy’s maid of honor, and you were taking it very seriously.
Maybe it was nervousness that was keeping you awake. Amy was your best friend, you knew her better than she knew herself, and you were shocked when she said yes to Rory when he proposed. It wasn’t anything against Rory, he was an amazing guy and one of your best friends, but Amy was just never the kind to be ok with being tied down like this. That didn’t mean you weren’t happy for them, but you were also scared Amy would back out last minute.
You heard an all too familiar noise outside, making you sit up. There was no way. He didn’t know where you lived, he couldn’t have. Not only had you moved out since you were a kid, but you had even moved apartments since everything with prisoner zero happened. You looked out the window of your bedroom on the third floor of your apartment building, stomach dropping when you saw the blue police box on the grass in front of the building.
It was like it was calling to you.
You immediately grabbed a t-shirt and jeans from your dresser and changed as fast as you could, slipping on some sandles as you grabbed your phone and keys on your way out. You were slightly out of breath after running down the three flights of stairs, but it didn’t stop you from running outside and towards the box. You jumped as the door opened right before you were going to knock, The Doctor on the other side with a sad smile on his face.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing he said, looking at his feet, “14 years is a long time to wait for an adventure.”
“…where’s Amy?”
“She’s at her house, packing a few of the essentials. She told me where you lived so I could come tell you to do the same.”
“Tell me to pack? Why?”
“Well,” he gestured behind him, making you realize how much bigger the room behind him was from the outside of the police box, “I figured I’d finally let you see what this old box is all about. What do you say? Want to run away with a madman and his box?” He offered you his hand, and you took it without hesitation.
You ran away with him, and you never looked back.
-present day-
You always looked back on that day with such fondness. In reality, that was the day you fell in love with The Doctor, but you only admitted it to yourself later.
Now, on the third day of your week long celebration, The Doctor told you he was taking you to a pastel purple planet you didn’t care to learn how to pronounce. It was empty, the species inhabiting it dying off due to unknown causes thousands of years prior. It was totally safe, though, or at least that’s what the Doctor said to make you feel safer. Even if it wasn’t, you didn’t mind a little action and danger. You were tough, and could take quite a few hits before you were defeated, so you knew you could take on this possibly dangerous planet.
What neither you or The Doctor expected, though, was to be torn apart and nearly killed by your very own minds.
Hope you all like this beginning! I’ll write up the second part soon, thanks for reading!
Coming for You! Masterlist
Tumblr media
(New Header! I like this one more than the old one!)
This is going to be a mini-series... I think...
Paring: Steve McGarrett X Reader Williams
Characters: Everyone... also various OMC & OFC
Warnings: Past Abusive Relationship, Angst, hidden pregnancy, Violence, Language, Kidnapping, Possible (almost) Harm to a Child, Scared Children, Upset/ Pissed off Steve, Upset/ Pissed off Danny, Asshole Ex
(There is more but once again my stupid brain is not working...)
A/n: This was going to originally be Reader X Danny but as I was writing it, it seemed to me that she would fit more with Steve. Or my brain subconsciously decided that this needed to be a Steve story? Who really knows?... So, I just made her a Williams instead.
Summary: After Danny helps his pregnant sister get away from her abusive ex five years ago, Y/n is finally able to have some peace. She has started over. Loving the life she has created for her and her son, that is, until the unthinkable happens.
(I suck at summaries... I will try to come up with something better later.)
in which you find out amy kissed the doctor and in a fit of jealousy, act out your own impulsive plan of revenge
doctor x gn! reader
word count; 899
wrote this at 3am and the tenses r kind of strange but yk what! thats okay. enjoy, i guess. had this idea swirling around in my head for a while :)
rory had seemed huffy all day. you have an inkling as to why, it's the same thing that keeps you awake at night. the doctor and amy are uncomfortably close. it's enough to make you, the doctors companion of a long, long time worry. i mean, he hasn't bonded with anyone like this in ages. not that you know of. you were there for the end of martha's time, and while you two got along her and the doctor never seemed to click completely. donna you absolutely adored, the three of you never had a dull moment or even a second of awkward silence. you miss her.
but amy? amy's your mystery. the doctor and you had met her when she was a child, and yet he's the one she latched onto. her 'raggedy doctor'. in her stories, you were just the sidekick he had brought along. you haven't clicked with the girl yet. she seems enjoyable enough, but something about the way she looks at him makes you shift in your seat. the tenth doctor, he was who you adored. his quick wit, his jokes, everything. it was only when he was reincarnated into... this. this being that smothered you with love and attention. the one thing that the tenth doctor could never do. ten's lack of it is what built the dam to stop your childish crush on him breaking through. eleven's never ending supply of it is what broke it.
it's not as though you have no chance. you are almost certain there is a reciprocation. amy just makes you doubt how much feeling, exactly, is returned. and, also, it isn't exactly easy to label a relationship with a man who travels time and space for all of time.
"honestly, rory, get over it!" amy sighs. her accent brings a comedy to her words. she's the pants of the relationship. "well, sorry if i can't exactly get over you kissing this- this doctor!"
"what?" you ask. the doctor had said no such thing. you left him on his own to drop amy off in her own time. after all, as you said, the two of you hadn't exactly bonded yet. you look over at the doctor, who's looking at you with an alarmed expression. "oh no.. oh no. thought not telling you would work. it went better in my head" he says calmly. he seems confused as to why that didn't work. it appears he didn't take rory williams into account. "you kissed him?" you ask amy. she juts her bottom lip out and shakes her shoulders in an i guess sort of action. how can she just 'guess' doing something you've wanted to do for oh so long?
your mind is racing. did he kiss back? he must have if rory is so mad. annoyed, actually. rory's far too passive to be mad. you really quite like him so far. you feel slightly bad for the plan that sets into mind as you walk towards the couple.
"y/n what are you-"
the doctor's words die in his throat when you grab rory by the collar and pull him in for a kiss. he stands there, wide eyed. you pull away after a second, pursing your lips. then you smile and turn to amy. "how does that feel? an eye for an eye, you could say"
amy pauses for a second, thinking. "fair enough" she finally says. you grin. maybe you can get along with this girl after all. especially since that kiss made you feel absolutely nothing. if anything, uncomfortable. "fair enough? that is definitely not fair enough!" the doctor exclaims. "rory? i mean, you kiss rory?"
"you kissed her!" you argue,
"actually, she kissed me"
"you still kissed!"
"i didn't even kiss her back! i just stood there! a bit like rory just did" this makes you fall quiet. "oh" you simply say.
"yes, oh" the doctor agrees, letting out a sigh of relief as he realizes that your fit is subsiding. "and if you were going to kiss anyone in retaliation, couldn't it have been me?"
you quirk a brow, giving him a look. "did you want it to be you?" he gives you a look you've never seen before. a smirk, you finally figure out. he never smirked in his past body. "yes, i most certainly did" he admits. it's your turn for your snarky words to die in your throat. amy clears her throat, "rory, why don't we go to bed"
"but im not ti-"
"rory" with her commanding tone, the man stiffens.
"okay"
the second they're gone you walk towards the doctor. "kiss you, huh?"
"mmhmm" he agrees. you stop when you're so close to him your chests are nearly touching. he stares down at you with that dumb, oblivious grin. "my god, doctor, you are oh so stupid" you whisper.
"what do you mean? i'm quite literally a genius" you laugh at him. your doctor is not as smart as he thinks he is. gently, you play with the opening of his coat. then without a word, you pull him closer to you. "getting it now?" he looks puzzled for a moment, then he smiles. "getting it" he replies. he surges forward, connecting your lips. you wrap your arms around his neck, smiling into the kiss.
you bet this is a lot better than the one with amy.
Doctor Who : Drabble
Rory Williams x Reader
Word Count: 714
Warnings: just Rory being the supportive friend that he is ✨
Request: “if you'd want to write it, id love a platonic rory x reader fic, i loved the dance scene between rory and the reader (in the dying girl fic, if i remember it right), it was really sweet and now its making me crave platonic fics of him! the reader can also be dating eleven but it doesn't matter, I just need some fluff comfort with rory!” Anon
A/N: Nights with Rory usually include a cup of tea and a healthy rant about the oblivious Doctor
Tumblr media
Rory peeked his head around the entryway to see the living room. The back of (Y/N)’s head could be seen sitting on the couch, staring at the blank television screen.
He popped back into the kitchen to pour some tea, “I’ve got some biscuits if you want some.” He didn’t expect her to reply, “I’ve pulled out my mother’s teacups just for your visit. She was always so particular about who carried her teacups – only the finest for the finest.”
He came back into the living room, handing over a cup and saucer. He nudged her knees, feet curled up beneath her, and sat himself down. She let her legs fall across his lap and took the tea graciously, “Thank you.”
Rory waited until she took a sip, “So… this business with the Doctor.”
(Y/N) rolled her eyes, “He’s so ridiculous sometimes.”
“It’s times like this when we must remember that he’s an alien. A thousand year old alien.”
“You would think all that time would make him less of an idiot.”
“I think all that time just lets him slip closer to insanity.”
(Y/N) laughed, setting the cup down, “I don’t understand him most of the time. He’s stubborn and childish and scatterbrained and completely wonderful.” She put a few fingers to her temple, “And if I hadn’t completely fallen for him then maybe I could move on with my life.”
Rory grabbed her leg across his lap, “It is very cliché of you.”
She gave him a look, “What do you mean?”
“Oh, just every girl falling for the mysterious, handsome adventurer that’s not quite like all the other guys. He’s different and brooding and broken in a way. It’s very cliché of you to fall for that.”
(Y/N) smacked his arm, “You don’t have to be so mean about it.” But she gave him a smile, “I should find someone more like you then.”
“Naturally,” he puffed out his chest, “I’m dependable and simple and completely willing to settle down and be in love.”
She nodded to herself, “Amy is very lucky indeed.”
He gave her a long look, watching how she stared at her knees and tangled her fingers together. It wasn’t unusual for the Doctor to dump his friends in one location, forgetting that (Y/N) had her own apartment outside of the Ponds’. She normally stayed the night where they spent the evening watching movies or checking on the garden or cooking a splendid dinner.
There was more often than not the conversation of how (Y/N) was smitten with the Doctor, and though the Time Lord shared some romantic notions with her, he never made a move past kissing her forehead or grasping her hand in a moment of danger.
It made for some lowly nights where Rory, the loyal best friend, attempted to patch everything up. “There’s got to be a time when you’ll tell him. I mean, tell him plainly.”
“He is rather clueless.”
“When it comes to love, yes. I think he tries to avoid it because he knows how much it hurts to lose someone you love. After so many centuries dealing with that pain, I’m not surprised he avoids saying he cares.”
“Do you think he does?”
Rory smiled softly, squeezing her leg, “Do I think he cares about you? I think he cares immensely. And it terrifies him.”
She sat a little straighter, “Really?”
“He just won’t allow himself to feel it fully. If he tells you then it’ll be too real, especially if he ends up losing you.”
“You’re just trying to make me feel better,” she frowned, flicking his arm.
Rory winced but laughed, “And you’re avoiding the obvious. You have no idea how many times Amy and I have tried talking to him about it. The way he stares at you like a sick puppy. The way he can’t ever say no to you no matter how much it frustrates him. The way he tries to have you play husband and wife whenever we’re undercover…”
“I have noticed a pattern there,” she laughed. “Maybe you’re right.”
“Of course I am,” Rory said, “And maybe if I could crack that thick skull of his, maybe he’d see I’m right too.”
She smiled, “You did always know how to cheer me up.”
Institute (13th Doctor x Reader) Part 1
Summary: After a weird encounter on a victorian street the doctor is drawn to you a fellow time traveller AN: HI!! this is a 13 x fem! reader as I started this a while ago and it would’ve meant very heavy delays if I had altered it Word count: 1.6k Warnings: death mention
(PART 2) (PART 3) (PART 4) (PART 5) (PART 6) (PART 7)  (PART 8) MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The doctor stepped out of the TARDIS, rubbing her hands together “C’mon gang, let’s get a shift on. Lots to see, lots to do.” She said taking the lead and walking ahead. The victorian streets were cobblestone, and covered in mud, “Doc, I thought the victorian era was supposed to be more, I don’t know? Glamorous.” Graham sighed
“Oi! This is real history, you can’t believe everything you see in movies. They’re more historically inaccurate than you’d think,” The doctor snapped jokingly
“Then why’s she wearing jeans?” Ryan asked, gesturing towards you. The entire group turned to look at you.
“Another time traveller probably. I’m not the only one knocking about time and space. She’s definitely not a time agent because she would be dressed era appropriate, so I assume she’s just passing through,” She rambled. Whilst she talked about the intricacies of the time agency you approached them.
“You do understand it is rude to talk about someone, and not include them, regardless, of how well you know someone, Doctor, Ryan, Graham, Yaz,” You interrupted
“Who are you? Sorry, time travel, you should know what it’s like, nothings ever in the right order. Especially with people,” A confused expression fixed on her face
“Oh, of course, that makes sense. It’s all coming together,” You said glaring at the vortex manipulator and sticking your hand out to her “My name’s (Y/N). (Y/N) (L/N).”
“That’s a lovely name. A really lovely name,” The doctor said smiling widely, Ryan and Yaz chuckling at her.
“You’ll see me again,” You said kissing her on the cheek “That’ll make more sense eventually, I promise,”
“Do you happen to know an archeologist by any chance?”
“I think I know the one you’re referring to. We happen to be friends I’ll have you know,” You blinked staring off into the distance for a second “Well, if you haven't met me yet, I should get going,” You said tapping the travel device and slamming your hand down against it. You vanished.
“Well that definitely was one of the more confusing interactions we’ve had,” Yaz frowned. Electricity fizzed and you reappeared behind them, “Sorry, sorry,” You said making them jump “Doctor, when you see me next, give me this, it’ll make sense to her, maybe. Anyway, onwards,”  You handed her a heavy ring as you spoke, ”I’ve always wanted to die on a foreign planet.” And before she could respond, you vanished into thin air once again.
“How- How did she do that?” Graham asked “And what did she mean? Die on a foriegn planet,”
“Vortex manipulator, nasty way to time travel, bad for the kidneys,” She frowned “as for the death bit, I don’t know,”
It’d been 3 months since the doctor had met you. She had tried to search for you and found nothing. She’d bored the fam to death rambling about time and the way it worked and who you could be and things she’d done to try to track you down. Nothing seemed to work, at one point they’d tried to stage an intervention which did not help as it merely gave her a platform to theorise. Until one day they arrived on Earth.
“Right gang, this is an abandoned building, middle of London. 3 hours to get some stuff done before we set off again,” the doctor said as she pushed the door open. The building outside the doors was definitely not abandoned. It looked like an office, floor to ceiling windows and a beautiful view of London outwards, a desk opposite them.
“Are you sure you’re right? This looks awfully officey for an abandoned building,” Ryan commented with a frown. The room was large, there were a variety of chairs placed around the room, along with a few futuristic looking lights
“No, it’s definitely Earth the gravity feels right,” The doctor answered, she licked her finger and lifted it into the air, “It’s earth, middle of London, Wednesday and it’s 11:02am,” She said a smug smile framing her face, wiping her finger on Yaz despite her protests. A door opened, you stepped out looking younger than the version in the victorian street, dressed in a suit, the opposite to how you were in the street.
“Hello, you’re the doctor, and I presume these are your companions? Assistants? Friends? Whatever you call them now,” You said extending a hand out to the timelord
“Yes, I am and yes they’re friends,” She said taking it “So you’re (Y/N) (L/N) then? What is this place?”
“Yes I am. It’s my office, I’ll explain on the tour, follow me, this way,” You said taking the lead and exiting the room
“We can’t tell her about what we saw, it runs the risk of collapsing reality or potentially ruining a fixed point, which is very, very bad, specifically 4 suitcase fulls and a bus journey full of bad,” The doctor explained in a hushed whisper to the other three
“But what if we could save her? Stop her from believing she’ll die on another planet?” Yaz asked empathetic as always
“Look, we can’t, I’ve tried that before and it ends up worse, we can’t do that. We can’t choose who lives and who dies,” She said glaring at all of them before snapping back to her usual sunny disposition and following you out of the room, the others trailing behind
“We always knew you would visit us at one point, it was inevitable given what we deal with,” You stated
“What is this place? Is this some kind of database an information hub? Why didn’t it show up on TARDIS scanners?” She asked, her list of questions increasing
“No, we’re an institute. Future tech, didn’t want you interfering. We help people, or we try to. London’s best kept secret, used internationally, U.N.I.T. doesn’t even know we exist. It didn’t show up on scanners because we planned for you and we knew that, of we wanted to do our jobs properly we couldn’t have interferences be it human or otherwise, especially not from you,” You replied
“What exactly are you the institute of?” Graham interrupted
“Formally, rehabilitation of former time travelers and people who come into contact with aliens. Informally, cleaning up after the Doctor. We’re The Bad Wolf Institute, formerly known as The Trenzalore institute, but Captain Harkness insisted we change it, after an old friend of yours, I believe”
The doctor froze in her tracks “Sorry? The Bad Wolf institute?”
“Yes, Jack was very insistent, pitched it to Me and she seemed to like the concept. The meeting of human and alien so to speak,”
“Did you just refer to yourself in the third person and first person?” Yaz mumbled
“No, Lady Me founded the institute and is formally the director of it, however, when she is away with one of your former friends or running trap street, I become acting director,” You explained opening a door and ushering them inside “She did claim she was trying to protect the world from you. She kept her word Doctor.” Inside the room was sectioned off areas of ground and a locked cabinet. “Vortex manipulators,” You answered the moment the doctor opened her mouth to ask “Called in a favour from Jack and Torchwood, he owed us after the 456 issue, but we took care of it. Use them to jump planets and time, smooth over any damage you’ve done, better us than the time agents, you know what they’re like.”
“Isn’t that a violation of time having them in the 21st century considering they were invented in the 51st century?”
“Yes, however, we’re erased from future narratives, we’re ghosts in the future, barely echos of echos,”
The doctor stopped suddenly, “How can I trust you? Hm? How do I know you aren’t lying? You could be a trap, a trick,”
“I can pull out a file on any former companion and read it to you.  Amy, Rory, Jack, Martha, Clara, Rose, Harry, Donna, Jamie, pick a name and we’ll find it,” Your tone was neutral, but your face wasn’t harsh.
“Too general, anyone from U.N.I.T can do that, I need something more specific,”
“I was the rep assigned to Amelia and Rory Williams, the Ponds. Visited her, 1946, New York, made some connections for her. Hooked up with an adoption agency, her and Rory adopted a son. She also repeatedly referred to you as raggedy man, and told me you used to eat fishfingers and custard which is something we didn’t have on file. We didn’t add it, you’re allowed some secrets, old man, no matter how vile it sounds,” A smile gracing for face at the last words
“Sorry? You used to be a man?” Graham asked. You chuckled at that, the formal facade finally slipping.
“Yes? That’s what you take away from that Graham? I believe you, no one other than her calls me that.” The doctor nodded at you, pulling the weighted silver ring from one of her many coat pockets “Oh before I forget, someone told me to give you this. They said it was important.”
You examined the ring for a second, a small chuckle escaped you “This was my mother’s, it went missing not long after she died. Never found it, searched the whole house, nothing,” You explained, slipping it on to your finger. “Thank you, I presume it was me then. My future must be in safe hands.”
“How did you- How did you work that out?” Ryan asked
“Time travel, it’s weird,”
“Want to come with us?” The doctor said unexpectedly
“Not especially. I have an institute to look after while Me runs Trap street, ask me again one day and I might just say yes,” You sighed a small wink directed towards her at the end of your sentence “Leave the TARDIS here as long as you’d like, no harm will come to it here.”
And that’s where it began.
While You Slept
Word Count: 1462
Pairings: 11th Doctor x Reader
Warnings: angst, fluff, sad fluff
A/N: Request from Wattpad
Summary: You looked so peaceful, so relaxed as you lay there. If only you had just been sleeping, it would have made seeing you like that easier. He tries to keep you a secret,  to keep the questions away, but his companions were a curious couple and now there's questions to be answered. But was that a door opening?
...............................................................................
If he didn't think about it too much he could almost convince himself you were just napping, resting your eyes. But this was The Doctor, he always thought too much, and he knew that was just a useless lie he told himself. You weren't napping, you weren't going to be waking, just like you hadn't for the last two months.
Or maybe it'd been longer?
Time flowed differently in the TARDIS, and he wondered if maybe it'd been years. He knew it wasn't though, but it did feel like it.
"Doctor!"
The voice of a woman pulled him out of his thoughts, and he stood from where he had been seated beside you.
"I suppose I should go make sure they're not getting into trouble. Curious lot they are."
The Doctor smiled a little as he fixed the blanket that was laid over you, making sure you were comfortable. He suspected if you were awake you'd make some sort of joke about it being him who was too curious for his own good. He missed your banter.
He missed a lot of things about you.
He slipped out of the bedroom you were in, hastily locking the door behind when he saw Rory and Amy approaching.
"We've been yelling for you for a while." Amy said.
"Have you?" The Doctor asked, walking past them.
"Well not long, but we were looking." Rory said.
Amy glanced back at the door the Doctor had walked out of. The door he had locked in such a hurry.
"What's in there than?" Amy inquired.
"A room."
Amy frowned at the vague answer and hurried after him and Rory.
"I know it's a room, but what's in the room?" Amy pressed.
"Things."
His answers only made her more curious, and she pried for more.
"What kind of things?"
"Things!" The Doctor sighed.
He walked up to the controls on the TARDIS pressing a few buttons as he deliberately tried to ignore them. More accurately Amy's questions.
"It's a room filled with things, why are you so curious?" He asked finally looking at them.
"Why are you so dodgy?" She countered.
The Doctor stared at her a moment, his expression grim, but as soon as they'd blinked he was back to his usual happy self.
"Where shall we go to next? Or when? So many places!"
He was changing the subject, even Rory knew as much, and she planned to use it to her advantage.
"We should let Rory pick this time." Amy said.
"Really?"
Both Rory and the Doctor spoke the word with surprise, and Amy smiled sweetly, giving Rory a gentle push forward.
"Yes, really."
The Doctor stared at her a moment, narrowing his eyes.
"Alright. Where to go Rory!"
Rory watched The Doctor rush around the controls, no longer paying much attention to him or Amy.
"You keep him busy, I'm going to find out what's in that room."
Rory opened his mouth to protest, but she was already sneaking away.  Rory hesitated for a moment before setting about distracting the Doctor.
~
She had a little trouble picking the lock, rushing, knowing Rory, it wouldn't be long before he eventually caved in and told the Doctor. She finally managed to get the door open and it wasn't at all what she'd been expecting. It was a bedroom, with various types of decorations and photos.
Amy ventured slowly into the dimly lit room, approaching the girl who lay asleep on the bed. She frowned when she saw the odd alien looking heart monitor beeping steadily beside her.
"What-"
"Y/N."
Amy spun around when she heard the solemn voice of the Doctor behind her. He stood in the doorway, not looking at her but at you.
"Her name is Y/N."
Amy looked back towards you, frowning.
"Who was she?"
"No one. Everyone. It doesn't matter now."
The Doctor turned around, leaving the room with Amy following closely behind. She carefully closed the door behind her.
"Doctor wait! Why is she here, why is she like that?"
He ignored her, turning his attention to the small TV above the TARDIS controls.
"What's wrong?" Rory asked.
"The Doctor's got a girl in that room, she's just sleeping, hooked up to some monitor." Amy explained.
The Doctor slammed his fists down, making them jump in surprise.
"She's not sleeping!" He snapped.
He turned to face them, his expression pained.
"She's not some girl, her name is Y/N, she was my companion, in my last regeneration. But she got hurt, and she didn't wake up. And it was my fault."
They didn't speak, a feeling of guilt washing over them.
"I couldn't take her home, she has no one to miss her. But maybe I was just being selfish, I loved her too much to send her away."
Amy took a slow step forward, placing a comforting hand on his back.
"I'm sorry Doctor. I shouldn't have gone snooping."
~
Your eyes were so heavy, your body unwilling to move. It took you a moment to finally will your eyes open, your vision taking a few minutes to focus. The steady beeping catching your attention in the otherwise quiet room. You turned your head to look at the monitor, frowning.
You reached a hand out to shut off the machine, your arm felt so heavy.  Once the monitor had been shut off you could hear muffled voices from outside your room. You struggled to sit up, your body protesting your every move, like you hadn't used your muscles in a while.
When you did manage to stand, you almost immediately collapsed, your legs shaking as your strength left you. You grabbed the blanket on the bed tightly, waiting for the ache in your limbs to subside. When you tried to speak, you found your voice hoarse and raw, like you hadn't spoken in months.
~
Amy and Rory were offering empty words of comfort to the Doctor that he mostly ignored. He was to focused on the noise he'd just heard, like the sound of a door opening. A strange feeling settled over him.
"Doctor?"
The voice was quiet, barely above a whisper, but he heard it nevertheless. He glanced down the hall, his eyes wide when he saw you walking along a wall, leaning heavily on it for support. You stumbled forward, your legs giving out under you, weak from not being used. He rushed to you, pushing past Amy and Rory who stared at you with surprise.
"Y/N!"
He knelt beside you, gathering you in his arms and you stared at him for a moment. You reached a hand up, placing it on his cheek as you looked at him. Your hand found its way to his hair and you smiled.
"You regenerated, was I asleep long?"
He smiled at you, grabbing your hand to press a kiss to your palm.
"That hardly matters now."
Your eyes drifted from him to the couple staring at you with interest.
"Are you going to introduce us? Or does this regeneration not remember manners?" You teased.
The Doctor beamed, happy to hear your teasing once more. He hadn't realized how much he missed it.
"Amy, Rory, this is Y/N. Y/N, Amelia Pond and Rory Williams. Now that's out of the way-"
You lightly hit his chest rolling your eyes.
"It's nice to meet you both, has he pulled you into a lot of trouble?"
Amy smiled, watching the Doctor mutter about not having all of your attention.
"Nothing we can't handle, wouldn't be fun otherwise."
You gave her a smile of your own.
"Oh I like her."
The Doctor chuckled, helping you stand to your feet, supporting you with an arm around your waist.
"Are you feeling up for an adventure? Rory picked a surprisingly wonderful place to visit!"
"Wait, why is that surprising?" Rory frowned.
His question went largely ignored by both the Doctor and Amy, and you offered him an apologetic look.
The Doctor helped you sit on the seat by the controls and you smiled at him, grateful he wasn't treating you like glass.
"I'm afraid I can't walk very well just yet, but I'll watch you on the TV?"
The Doctor nodded in agreement, and the TARDIS lurched as he set it to reach its destination. He grabbed you when you stumbled forward and hugged you to his chest. You didn't miss Amy and Rory sharing a knowing smile at the display of affection before them. The TARDIS shook as the four of you held on for support.
The Doctor's laughter turned out to be contagious and despite your voice still recovering you laughed a long with him.
"I missed you."
His voice was low and his words sweet as he whispered them in your ear, the sound of the TARDIS tumbling through time masked his words from his other companions. You smirked, leaning into his touch just a little more.
"I love you too."
Note
Hi, I have a silly little request. What about an immortal/alien/time lord reader x Rory when he spends his time as the centurion ?
So I might’ve cheated a little bit and used my immortal time travelling character from ‘A Thief Through Time’. This is a platonic relationship between the two characters.
Title: A Good Person
Tag list: @v4n1r, @queerconfusionthings,  @yourneighbourhoodclown
Rory didn’t bother looking up when he heard the footsteps approach him. There was only one person who always seem to know where to find him. After a couple of hundred years being alone he came to find he enjoyed the company even if his companion was a bit of a dick at times.
“Still guarding hat box?” you said
It isn’t just a box,” he said looking up, “My wife is in there.”
“Right,” you sat down next to him, “How long has it been now?”
“I’d rather not think about it.”
“Do you want to know?”
“Not really.”
“Right.”
Rory rested his head on his knees and you looked over at him concerned.
“What do you want to do this time?”
“Huh?”
“I have some board games we can play,” you said, “Humans like Scrabble right?”
“Scrabble?”
“Yep.”
“No.”
“No?”
“Not all humans like Scrabble. Why would you think that?”
“Hmm. Maybe I was just the UNIT guys who liked that.”
“UNIT?”
“Yeah. I used to spend quite a bit of time with them back in the day. Back when the Doctor-“you cut yourself off and smiled at Rory, “Maybe that’s a story he should tell you.”
“Not like he’s going to visit any time soon. You might as well tell me.”
“Back when he was stuck on earth,” you finished, “Timelords are bastards.”
“I thought you liked them?”
“Do you like every human?”
“Ha. No.”
“Exactly. The Doctor is a rare exception but even he has his moments.”
“You want to tell me about them?”
You shook you head.
“Some things are better left to him,” you explained, “But we didn’t always get along. There have been moments where even I’ve been disgusted at him. Not every regeneration is as likable as the last.”
You said the last sentence bitterly. Memories resurfaced of the manipulation and betrayal that you suffered at his hands. Your… affection for the Doctor ran deeply but even you had your limits.
“But was it worth it”
“What do you mean?”
“You love him,” Rory said, “And he loves you. It’s clear when the two of you look at each other. Like when we were in the Louvre. What would’ve happened if Amy and I hadn’t interrupted you?”
“Nothing,” you pattered Rory’s shoulder, “Nothing would’ve happened.”
“For someone who’s a lot older than I am you’re a terrible liar.”
“Well you’re catching up to me in age. Sooner we’ll be roughly the same age.”
“You know that isn’t helping right?”
“I know.”
The two of you fell into a comfortable silence. You looked up at the stars and thought about the future. Everything that will happen and if it was possible to change. You ever evolving relationship with the Doctor at the heart of your thoughts.
“Y/n?”
“Yes?”
“Is it worth it?”
“Is what worth it?”
Rory was looking at the Pandorica and it dawned on you.
“Is Amy worth it.” You said
“Yeah. Is she?”
“Do you love her?”
“Yes.”
“Then she is,” you stood up and brushed the dust off of you, “I can’t tell you about the future.”
“Why not.”
“Because of a promise I made with the Doctor. However I can tell you this- you are a great man Rory Williams. You are loved and deserve to be loved. This,” you waved your hand at the Pandorica, “Shouldn’t be the sole definition of who you are. You are a good person, a great nurse, a brilliant friend and a wonderful boyfriend. Don’t you ever forget the Rory Williams.”
“I don’t think I can.”
“Good,” you smiled, “See you next century.”
“Hopefully sooner.”
You smiled and disappeared in a flash of blue lights leaving Rory in good spirits for the first time in years.
Slow You Down
MASTERLIST | Support Me!
Pairing(s): 11th!Doctor x Insecure!Reader, Amy Pond x Rory Williams, Amy Pond x 11th!Doctor (Platonic)
Warning(s): Lying, Injury, Not sure what else
Word Count: 1296
Summary: One of your old injuries returns, and you’ll do everything to keep the Doctor from finding out. It’s not until you meet a certain Amy Pond, that you admit, out loud, how you feel.
Request(s): Anon -> Hi could you maybe do a 11dr x shy reader maybe the reader is really shy and insecure bc they have a limp/walking disability and thinks they’re ugly and unlovable and a burden and somehow the dr finds out and gets all protective and proves them wrong and it’s just really fluffy I could really use something like that thanks anyway Xx
Authors Note: So this took a while to write. I’m sorry. I really am. I was telling myself to get it done ages ago, but I just lost interest, and writers' block hit not long after. It wasn't until yesterday when I went to a family friends’ book signing, and I listened to her inspiring speech, that I realized I could do this. So here it is. I’ll be attempting to write out as many requested fics as possible today, with my goal to have started all of them.
Please remember that this is my first time writing for Doctor Who, so bear with me. I’ll also like to accept any constructive criticism! Let me know if you want to be tagged in anything!
It had been another successful adventure to another random planet with the Doctor. Thankfully, you didn’t have to run as much this time, as hiding your limp had become more and more difficult due to the rigorous exercise you both participated in on the daily. As you walked through the TARDIS doors the Doctor races in front of you, and you smile, watching him dash around the control panels. He flicked switches and pressed buttons in a silent race against himself. Silently, you chuckled. You always loved to watch how he would hurriedly run around like a mad man, even though he was, as he tried to fly the TARDIS by himself. Suddenly, the TARDIS rocked, which knocked you off your feet. Your arm darted out to grasp onto something, anything. You’d managed to grab onto the cold railing, which you’d meant to do before the Doctor had sent the TARDIS into motion. Before you knew it, the ship stabalised, all movement ceasing. You let out a shaky breath, hoping that the sudden movement didn’t cause your injury to flare up.
“(Y/N)?” You could see the Doctor looking worried as he searched for you. You raised your hand, as you began to sit yourself up. “Oh, there you are! Are you alright?” You nod while he grasps your small hand in his large one, as he helped you back to your feet.
“Thanks.” You thought your leg was fine, but as you take a step forward, you can only to pull it off the ground as you hissed in pain. Great. It just had to get worse. You could hear the Doctor walk towards you again, a concerned look on his face. His green eyes scanned you as his hands grasped your upper arms. “What’s wrong? (Y/N), are you sure you’re okay?” You sighed as you shake your head. Your brain searches for the easiest way to tell him what happened all those years ago, but you blame it on your fall.  “I must have hurt it when I fell. It was-it was fine before.” Not a complete lie, but not the whole truth either. He raised a brow at my theory but accepted it anyway. I knew it was only a matter of time before he figured it out.
“Well, in the meantime, I propose that we go see some old friends of mine.” Now it was your turn to question his antics. As he noticed your look of confusion, he exclaimed, “We’re going to visit the Pond’s!”
 --
 Your arm wrapped around his shoulders, as he helped you out of the TARDIS leading you to the house ahead. You’ve never admitted it to yourself before, but you loved being this close to him. You swore you could feel a cluster of butterflies as they flapped their wings in your chest. You were just being ridiculous. A 900 plus-year-old alien falling for you? Nonsense! You couldn’t even attract any human men, let alone a Time-Lord. Still, one could hope.
The door ahead had swung open, the force had it swung into the wall, as two figures ran out. A man and a woman. The Pond’s, you supposed. “Doctor! Doctor, you’re back!” The woman shouted in her unmistakable Scottish accent as she shoved me out of the way to give him the biggest hug you’ve ever seen. The man, who had initially run out with her, had grabbed you in time, holding you steady as you recovered, smiling apologetically. “Ah, yes,” The Doctor’s voice had everyone’s attention focused on him, “Amy, Rory, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Amy and Rory…the Pond’s!” You smiled as best as you could through the pain that began to shoot up your leg, as you waved slightly.
The pair led you both back to the house as the Doctor had moved back his previous position as he helped you to walk. “So, what’s the story with you two showing up out of nowhere? I mean, you,” She pointed to the Doctor, “Haven’t visited in three years.” You could see how uncomfortable he looked. He always hated to have to come back into the lives of those he traveled with, you knew that. Nervously, he focused on straightening his bow tie, obviously lost in thought about how to answer, when you spoke instead.
“I’d injured myself on the TARDIS after it had one of its weird episodes, so the Doctor thought that it would be a clever idea to have a short break and come visit you two.” You glanced over at him and gave him a wink. I’ve got your back. Rory had decided to busy himself with other, more important things, as he excused himself from the room, whilst his wife just stood and looked between us. “How bad is the injury?”
“Not bad, I just hurt my-“
“She hurt her leg pretty bad. She hasn’t been able to put any pressure on it. I’ve had to help her walk around.” Just spill the beans, why don’t ya? Her head turned to face me, her eyes scanned my legs as though she could see through my initial lie of it is because of the TARDIS. She gestured for us to head into, what I assumed, was a spare bedroom, where the Doctor helped me sit on the edge of the bed. It was kind of funny to watch him being unsure of what to do. I could tell he wanted to pace, to try and think of a way to help. But I also knew that he wouldn’t be able to.
“Okay, Doctor, I think it’s best if you leave while I see how bad it is. Go to the park or something, we have this covered.” He didn’t look convinced. Looking behind Amy, his eyes caught yours in a silent question. Are you sure you’re going to be alright? You nodded as you put your thumbs up, adding a smile for reassurance. He turned to walk out the door, before he again made sure that you were fine, only leaving with a promise to be back shortly. You shook your head at his antics.
“So, you going to tell me what the issue with this leg is?” Sighing, you patted the spot next to you, beginning your tale as Amy sat down and comforted you.
 --
 It had taken you a total of thirty minutes to re-tell the story and answer Amy’s questions, although you had to admit, it was nice to have it off your chest. She’d left shortly after having comforted you, saying something about cooking dinner for the four of you. You lay on the bed, eyes closed, as you think back to what she’d said about telling the Doctor when the door creaks open. “You could have told me, you know?” You sit up in panic, eyes locked onto the Doctor’s as he steps forward.
“And you could have minded your own business.”
The room went silent, as you both considered the others’ words. He fiddled with his tie,  before he sat on the edge of the quilt-covered mattress, lost for words. You sighed as you take a deep breath, and start again.
“I’m sorry for not telling you, I just…” he looks up at you, hands coming to rest at his sides, “I just don’t want to feel like a burden.”
Eyes widening in shock, he leans forward and grasps your hands. “You, my dear (Y/N), will never be a burden. You understand?” Shaking your head, he gathers you in his arms, hugging you tightly. “You’re the only one who understands what being different is like, you know? We’re all different. Some of us more than others, and that is a good thing. You are a good thing.”
