Michael, 23, lives alone in the old, molding Afton family home in the woods on the outskirts of town. Having suffered a traumatic event as a child, his head being crushed within the jaws of one of his fathers machines, he remembers very few details of his childhood or family. How I portray my RP muse:
Delilah Briarwood
(Disclaimer: this is in regards to a fan made roleplay and fanfictions. I do not own critical role and am in no way declaring any of these as canon. I don’t even watch the stream or the show. Live free and die.)
Contamination OCD/OCD adjacent. She was always a very clean person, but after Sylas got sick, virtue quickly turned to vice and she became overly concerned with germs and plague. She wears gloves nearly all the time to hide the raw, cracked skin resulting from excessive hand washing.
All she wanted was a family. Now, from what I’ve heard, this is made quite clear in stream and possibly in the series. However, I tend to play this up a little more in my RP and my fanfics. Yes, she slaughtered the De Rolo kids in cold blood (some of them, anyway), but it was not nearly as easy as she would have us believe. She felt regret. Those children could have easily been hers.
With that said, she and sylas do genuinely care for Cassandra. They sure have a weird way of showing it, but they do treat her rather well. At least, they think so. They don’t hit her. They don’t yell at her. They give her everything she could possibly want! As far as Delilah is concerned, that’s her daughter now. For extra angst, I wrote the De Rolo parents as being a bit distant, making Cassandra more receptive to the Briarwoods’ affection.
Abandonment issues that go beyond Sylas. Of course, he’s her main focus, but what friends she’s stayed in contact with (among other connections)? She is terrified of losing them.
Is a flower language nerd. She thinks it’s the loveliest way to send a message, and puts so much thought and effort into her arrangements.
Touch is her love language.
In another life, one where sylas never got sick and the setting was more modern, she would have made a pretty good foster parent.
