Run BTS show content ideas that we might see in the future.
...and not necessarily as a Run BTS episode!
This Photo Folio idea was Jungkook’s because during Run BTS ep. 124 aired Jan. 12, 2021, he came up with this idea. Here is how that episode unfolded and all the ideas that poured forth and a long analysis of how many have been used so far:
In the first part of episode 124, they brainstormed and presented ideas. They were given about 20 minutes to jot down some ideas. They did a lot of talking while sitting. Hobi said roller skating. JK and RM approved, then Hobi backtracked thinking it too dangerous, then Jin said in that case bicycles are too dangerous too. Yoongi said tennis and RM approved of that too. A few months after they filmed this, they probably shot the Dynamite MV’s and all that went with Dynamite including the roller skating rink that ended up in a couple of Bangtan Bombs. As we saw, Tae and Hobi were newbies at roller skating.
They all jokingly talked about a drivers license challenge for RM.
Hobi said hair designer. Yoongi brought up team sports and JK said e-sports, Yoongi said basketball.
Hobi said raw fish/slicing fish which was a very unique idea. A sushi show. We’ve seen various Run BTS episodes that involved cooking and food prep.
Jimin said keyword location hunt meet up using memory or telepathy to find it and all meet there. Yoongi said it could be emotional, Hobi said it would be funny if all but one made it to the meeting spot...they all laughed about the possible outcomes of that idea.
After writing down their ideas they each stood on the platform and made presentations.
They all said standing up there speaking made them nervous. (kekekeke)
Yoongi's presentation:
Sports challenge but wasn’t clear whether to play as one team against another unknown team or what. They did table tennis in episodes 138 and 139.
Psychological counseling or mental analysis which Jimin thought it was a great idea. This was the MBTI Lab videos they posted on BangtanTV back in May of this year.
Tae’s presentation:
Learn a music instrument and then perform a song as a band. Um is this why JK has been really taking his drum lessons seriously? We’ve seen him carrying the drum stick case everywhere and not yet once seen him playing drums recently.
Bangtan in disguise...travel on public transportation etc. and if you arrive at the final point without being recognized, you win. As soon as you are recognized, you are out of the game. Everyone agreed that was a brilliant idea. But good luck with that. Security guys will need to be in disguise as well.
Hobi’s presentation:
Hair designer. Jimin was ok with it as long as it was just styling and not cutting. I am really, really serious now. All of the long hair on the members is for this episode. We will be getting Hair Designer Bangtan in an Run BTS episode. Mark my words.
Healing time doing what each member likes to do for self care but separately. Jimin did not like it because he feels they should be together doing something.
BTS song festival, divide into teams and make songs to upload to Soundcloud for Army.
Jimin’s presentation:
The telepathy meet-up. This is obviously the theme of the upcoming Run BTS reboot – the Run BTS Telepathy Special teaser with them being led out of the studio blindfolded and we’ve seen photos of them out on the streets and in front of that stadium. All of which was filmed earlier this year.
Robotics. I would love to see them try this but so far, not any evidence that it might come to pass.
Crafts, accessories, friendship accessory (jewelry), silver. Of course, this was Jimin’s Vlog.
Hide and seek police and thief game on a large scale. This would be interesting.
Jin’s presentation:
Maze, large scale or 7 identical rooms and each has as much time as they need to escape it. Escape room type thing. I am thinking they did something like this in the past.
Scavenger hunt on a mountain (rent a mountain hahahahaha, money is no object for Jin) similar to the one they did on ATVs but this time walking/hiking. I would love to see this.
Classic childhood games, throwing at a target, hopscotch, rubberband, spin tops, etc.
Tae's additional idea:
Mafia village role play game where each member plays a character they need to really get into while the game is ongoing. They did this in Ep. 120 Dec. 15, 2020 when they role-played and searched for clues in real buildings, and in Ep. 121 when they continued their missions but at the end of the episode they got transported back in time to Joseon Dynasty and those episodes were 145, episode 146 and 147 which aired August 2021.
Namjoon’s presentation:
Create Run BTS theme song (ost) using simple objects. They did create a Run BTS song but it was far from simple. It’s a banger and apparently going to be used as the ost for the Run BTS reboot!
Lucky 7 with simple things (the childhood games idea), flipping bottle competition, bottle caps, etc. Run BTS episodes 126 and 127 were titled 777 Lucky Seven 1 and 2.
Fan merchandise. Of course this is the Artist Made Merch we fought the Hunger Games for at the beginning of this year. These items were already in the works by the time this brainstorming episode aired in January 2021 as the planning stages began in late 2020.
Jungkook’s presentation:
Photoshoot for editorial pictures. THIS is where Vampkook originated. This is the Photo Folio idea.
He brought up team sports again and everyone discussed different sports.
Jimin brings up shooting a music video for a b-side song and JK says he had that idea as well.
In the second part of the episode they reconvened at some point within the following month and a half and they narrowed down the short term and long term ideas:
The results:
Short term show themes: Role play Mafia game and Lucky 7 games. These were episodes 120-121 and 145-147 and Lucky 7 games were episodes 126-127 as mentioned above.
Long term project: Learn a team sport and all kinds of sports were listed: basketball, tennis, volleyball, dodgeball, baseball. As it turned out, tennis was the chosen sport and it played out in episodes 129 and 130. We know Jin ended up taking on tennis as a hobby because we’ve seen a Bangtan Bomb as well as Jin posting on his IG his late night tennis practices and we’ve seen Jimin and Jungkook going to their tennis lessons together for which I cannot find the video but here someone posted a clip of it on twitter.
So...that leads us to why I started this post in the first place: Photo Folio which was Jungkook’s photoshoot idea. We are getting photos and maybe behinds I think.
And the other ideas they brainstormed...I wonder if we will see they have learned music instruments since we know Jungkook carried his drumsticks everywhere. Playing music instruments as a band, a b-side song music video shoot, large scale maze, robotics, hair designer, Bangtan in disguise...all ideas we are waiting to see realized. They did so good coming up with ideas.
NOTE: I believe the brainstorming episode 124 was filmed in 2020 because they spoke about social distancing. The first part of the episode with blonde Jimin was filmed probably March 2020 and the second part with black hair Jimin was filmed probably late April or early May before the 28th because by then Yoongi had black hair.

Winners Never Quit
Because Jin will make extremely sure that his bunny wins no matter what.
This was supposed to be a simple Traces post but it turned into something monstrously long? Anyways, long scroll ahead if anyone wants a peek.
!! SPOILERS AHEAD for Run BTS episodes. !!
Times when Jin turned the world upside down to let JK have his way:
Run BTS ep. 147 (2021)
The episode was a whole mess where one of the camera directors even got locked inside a fake jail for real. I think this might be one of my favorite episodes because it's just so chaotic. 💕
The point of the game was to find the two mafias hiding amongst citizens, and the members had to vote at the end who they thought were the mafias. If the citizens got it wrong, the citizens will be publicly spanked. If the mafia was caught, the mafia was spanked.
Suga and Jin were the mafia, the rest didn't know. And they had believed there were 3 members who were mafia. These cuties.
When deciding on the four who were 100% citizens i.e. get to hold the paddle (?) to victory, the guys descended into chaos deciding over the last member to include.
It was V vs Jungkook vs Jin. It was mainly down to V and Jungkook.
As noted earlier Jin was the mafia. Therefore, he's on the opposite team as to both Jungkook and V.
However, watching the episode you'd think he's on team Jungkook.
It's the absolute sweetest because choosing JK or V was meaningless, either of them getting on the team meant Jin would lose. Yet Jin's whole focus was on getting Jk on the team and not himself.
He just wanted Jk to not feel bad. (And poor Tae getting the bunt of Jin's attacks)
Run BTS ep. 96 (2019)
Jin was the MC for their childhood games themed episode. When Jin is MC, you can be sure that Jk will get special treatment of some sort.
When it came time to choose Beyblades (the name of the toy) for their tournament, Jin's double standards really shone.
1. gathering all his braincells to give JK first choice in choosing.
Because Jimin won the last game, the rule was that the previous winners get to choose their toy first and this riled the guys up.
After a bout of shouting at the host, they calmed down and when the others didn't pip up again for favoritism, Jk stood out.
2. telling others to pipe down vs. let's listen to Jk's story
During the group protest, Jhope and RM tried to argue their case by appealing to Jin's sentimental (?) side.
When Jk asked for special consideration, Jin was suddenly interested in hearing childhood stories.
3. snatching the best toy before the others could claim it VS Jk wants it? Happy to oblige.
Jin brazenly claimed the golden top so others couldn't have it. You know, so he could keep it in reserve in case someone didn't get the toy of his choice.
Too bad Jk fumbled the bag being the clumsy cutie he always is. But I'm pretty sure that if he went through with the poem to the end, Jin would have happily given his toy to him.
Run BTS ep. 124 (2020)
This particular instance suddenly made me feel really sorry for the other members because I realized why Jk was the maknae on top. The maknae who gets his way even if the cards are unfavorable.
This episode, the members were asked to pitch new ideas for upcoming Run BTS episodes and this happened in the last stage of voting for their ideas.
It came down to either Lucky 777 or the Mafia game. Former was based off luck and playing mini games, latter was more interactive and based on acting and deducing.
When the mafia game was brought up, Jin and Hobi both voiced interest:
Jk had noticed Jin's interest:
When everyone was talking about mafia game, Jk didn't say a single word.
But later when it came down to voting, Jk suddenly redirected the conversation back to 777 again (they discussed 777 before bringing up mafia), and couldn't stop making comments:
When finally, finally they started to actually vote, Jk jumped in all of a sudden, suggesting they allow everyone to vote multiple times. I.E. people who wanted mafia game can vote again for 777. You know, free will.
Votes for mafia game:
When Jin raised his hand, he also stuttered slightly saying, "Mafia game seems fun."
While he was saying that, Jk was looking directly at him and said something inaudible
"Hyung, raise your hand again." (Yes, I was there. That's what he said.)
Now without Jk's multiple voting suggestion, mafia game would have won the vote already. But obviously, that's not how it ended.
Because
777 won by a large margin.
While some laughed at the results, others were not as amused. The camera angle unfortunately didn't show their faces properly but I could spot RM, V looking somewhat resigned. These two had previously voted for mafia game (RM's vote was verbal and not caught by the editors).
This round of voting became moot because the votes seemed meaningless if people could vote twice. So they went round 2, one vote per person.
Pls go watch the episode and listen to the little quiver of laughter in Jin's voice here (30:32) when he started the voting for mafia game
Votes were: V, Jimin, Jhope.
And then barely holding his laughter in (30:37) for 777:
Votes were: Jk, Suga, RM, Jin.
Yes, he already knew the results. They all did.
Nobody looked as happy as Jk when 777 won:
So over the course of choosing, Jin was the only member who switched over from Mafia game to Lucky 777. And 777 won by a slim margin of one vote.
Jk on top.
Small detail:
RM seemed to have no preference between the two games and was mostly playing the balance game to keep the peace between the members.
Like when four people voted for mafia game in the first round, it looked like mafia game would win so RM told Jin to count him too. Then after JK's not-at-all-subtle comment to Jin across the table, he raised his hand for 777 too.
RM's votes and comments were all very neutral and he almost seemed like he was jumping ships constantly... which to me showed his poise as the leader. Inferring that he may have taken the backseat on a lot of group decisions in the past to respect every member, and it's habitual at this point.
Jin's birthday vlive 2019
Coupled with the example from above, V and Jimin seem to really like the mafia game. One suggested it during the live and one hi-fived his bro.
Sparked a small migraine while trying to organize this moment into a coherent event. There was so much talking and things happening at the same time.
Jin had turned on a Vlive broadcast the day before his birthday to spend time with fans, and premeditated the appearance of the other members to join his broadcast.
Alas, when the others actually appeared, Jin couldn't control the situation and as usual chaos ensued.
When Jhope, Jimin, Jk and V all remained in Jin's room with no sign of leaving, Jin tried to carry out his planned segment of playing a computer game. (which didn't happen until Part 2)
Both Jimin and Hobi seemed a little apprehensive about 369. The game is a very simple drinking game. Jimin tried to spice it up by suggesting a new number combo:
That didn't work? Jimin tried suggesting a whole different game next
Jk outright rejected mafia game and Jin subsequently also didn't accept the suggestion.
Then, recall how Jin ignored Jimin earlier when he suggested new numbers instead of the original 369? Whole nother attitude when Jk spoke.
No to 248, no to 0248, it has to be 2489.
No reason, it's cause it's his birthday. And his wish is his wish, you know?
Bonus:
Jin's faith in Jk and himself only
When a fan asked Jin about BTS' survivability in the jungle and he ranked Jk first and himself second, then cancelled the rest.

I would like to add my two cents regarding bighit editing changing the narrative completely, especially with their official content.
One of the example I would mention is jikook vs taekook leaving home after RUN BTS shoot. I think everyone remember how company focused on jikook leaving together when tae was left to complete his part of game (thigh slapping day lol)
While when they knew taekook would leave together or people might suspect this they changed the narration completely. Remember in Hyundai Run episode Jungkook was continuously asking did tae left and they used subtitles betrayed by v or something. I was wondering why Jungkook would ask continuously about Taehyung only as if he is aware of Tae's plan to be in the building. He said so in episode. And then you see all of them leaving Hyundai building once their task is done, recorded by cameraman. So I thought maybe Taehyung really left. Then Hyundai company posted how V purchased one of their cars implying he was in the building. Made me wonder if they just shot that leaving scene but Tae might have come out of car and waited but that was too over the top even for my romantic ass. Something was just not connecting. The way they played so uncompetitively like they planned to be the last ones as if they had plans together afterwards, Jungkook's insistence on Taehyung's whereabouts sealed the deal.
So I went back and watched the episode again and I realised I was such a fool. The scene they showed of members leaving was from ep 124 and not from Hyundai building. That means they shot members leaving from ep 124 and added in Hyundai episode which doesn't make any sense. I can't find any logic other than to mould narrative to adhere to ships approved by them. You can check only Namjoon has changed his clothes rest all are wearing ep 124 clothes.
This is how they maintain that taekook may have sort out their differences but their relation is only for fun and non reliable in nature.
Same anon who talked about Hyundai episode.
The only logic which makes sense is They shot 124 episode in the morning changed clothes for Hyundai one as they were sponsored (maybe?) And they switched back to ep 124 clothes because Jin said he wanted to do treasure hunt and someone said they would do that next. Then again everything is still confusing because Hyundai confirmed Tae purchased the car after shooting.
If the clothes were sponsored things make sense otherwise no. What's your opinion?
Yeah this moment is so so weird!! I feel like it’s weird even if the clothes were sponsored, because I believe episode 124 was filmed in a completely different location than the Hyundai episode. Wasn’t episode 124 specifically filmed at a historic site? Maybe I’m getting my episodes mixed up because it’s been a while since I’ve watched that one in particular, but I’m pretty sure it was. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
And if the clothes were sponsored, would they have changed out of them at the Hyundai location before going home? That seems unlikely. It would make more sense for them to return to HYBE or wherever, and then change back into their own clothes, and then go home from there. But if that’s what happened, would it make sense to film them getting into cars, back in their own clothes, to head home from HYBE, well after the episode had ended? Even if they did do that, why frame it as though they were leaving the filming location in that case? In fact, why film that at all??
This whole event is truly so bizarre to me. Even if we assume for the moment that they did all of this just to cover up the fact that Taehyung and Jungkook might have left the Hyundai location together, it still seems like a weird thing to do. I’ve wondered before if it might have been a mistake somehow, or if they just happened to film the guys leaving in episode 124 and then realized that it would make more sense to have shots of them leaving for the day after the Hyundai thing, so they spliced that in? Or maybe they did record both episodes in one day, but even if they did, the Hyundai thing must have been the end of their day, because why else would it be a reward to get to go home???
The more I think about it, the weirder it is. I’m not sure how likely I think it is that they did this whole switch just to cover up something about Taekook, but it does seem to show that they’re willing and able to manipulate footage to give the viewer specific ideas, whether or not those ideas are accurate to what really happened.

No, episode 124 is when they are discussing ideas for future episodes. It looks like a board room to me. They may have asked permission from Hyundai to shoot in their building.
Again, it is easy to change clothes in the building. That's not the matter of concern. What's funny is generally when BTS shoot RUN episodes in a day it is generally two or maximum three. All of this takes time. If they are planning to shoot 3 episodes already (ep 110, 111 and 124) how come they have time to go early. I don't know how that's a gift. This is no different from any regular day. Funny thing is BTS are not random guest on a show. They run RUN BTS lol. They get full agenda of next weeks in detail beforehand. It's funny they wouldn't know Hyundai episode was last to shoot or they have nothing on their calender.
Plus some members share cars right? Less resource this way. Yet they showed different cars for every member.
Since there wasn't any departure time mentioned for members we can assume Taehyung was in building and they communicated with bighit might not understand - MOBILE PHONES.
Between Bighit who is famous for altering their content and Hyundai who wants to promote that BTS member purchased their car. I'll trust the latter.
Ohh, yeah you’re right about ep 124, sorry about that. I’ve been busy and haven’t been fact-checking as much as I should be. The fact that the Hyundai episodes are 110 and 111, which just makes the whole thing even weirder. But yeah, however you look at it I feel like this whole thing is just really bizarre, but I’m with you on trusting Hyundai on the fact that Taehyung bought the car while he was there.
