(where did my caption go?? that was weird)

hello hello! I'm just about halfway through the summer program I'm teaching at, and fifty days from moving abroad. between those and all the other things I've been up to, I've had to leave my language studying by the wayside and haven't felt as inspired to work with my bujo either. HOWEVER, this week my best friend got me into SIX and I'm already obsessed--hence this spread! I'm still so pleased to have decided on this theme for my sixth week on the job.

(ps I've started working with notion as well to store all my coding notes and I'm planning to share some of those soon too ;) )

Day 9 - What is the worst thing about studyblr in your opinion?

That’s a hard one... I personally think that the “productivity hype” and all the “super-lovely, gloomy, always happy, over the top friendly and coffee-induced” accounts are a bit dangerous. Dangerous in the sense, that if you don’t put the maximum effort into your posts, your work or anything else, you’ll likely feel bad.

All the aesthetics look really nice but you should know that it is - as most things on social media - staged. At least five minutes of rearranging were spent while taking the picture you admire so much - please don’t forget that when comparing your progress to someone elses’.

Day 8 - What is the best thing about studyblr in your opinion?

In my humble opinion (and please don’t take that as an offense), I just love the fact that some weird and mostly introverted nerds come together on a dying plattform to talk about all the interesting stuff they are learning. :D

No, but seriously, I love the community, the super caring people on here, the support you experience and all the amazing help you get here. Most of all, all the new friends you make are worth it!

Day 10 - What is one thing you wished you could change about studyblr?

The studyblr community can be a super helpful and friendly place - and I truly admire that. If I could change something, it certainly wouldn’t be the friendliness and the empathy. No, if I had the chance, I would start with the way small blogs are treated and left out because of the missing “aesthetic” or the way the pictures are taken.

I could probably go on and on about way more stuff (some accounts seeming unauthentic - do you even have bad days or do you even sleep??) but I’ll just leave this here.
