I’m so excited for the fight between Ares and Percy next week but I also don’t want the season to be over.

So I was just thinking. If Sally, like, told Percy to join Kronos, I'm pretty sure he would have. I mean, idk about Percy but I would have if she told even if I knew the ending. Like, if Sally believed in it, then I'll fight for it. Would you too or are you weird?

Okay so...
The time is currently 10:52pm and I've spent the last 3 hours writing a short fanfic about Leo spending Christmas at the Jacksons' house and Sally being an absolute slay goddess queenboss and basically adopting him. It might not be very accurate, as I'm only on the first HoO book and haven't seen him and Percy interacting yet, and I've never posted a fanfic before, but if this post gets to... Let's say... 35 notes, I'll post it.
Edit: I’ve posted it under a reblog of this post, so hopefully if you look in the notes you’ll be able to find it.

the way the percy jackson show shows unconditional love has me sobbing for hours.
they show it with sally, who struggles and works and gets tired hit persists and continues to love anyway. they show it with annabeth, who fought to find her own beautiful family and lives to see it thrive. they show it with grover, who is steadfast and loyal, an unwavering pillar no matter what the circumstance is. they show it with percy, who was thrown into a world he didn’t want to be in. but he’s in regardless, and he finds love in it, love in annabeth and grover and camp. they show it through his determination to see his back alive.
i just can’t, this show is too good.

A complete list of disappointments from the pjo season finale:
Percy did not get to give Medusa’s head to his mom so she could turn Ugly Gabe into a statue like he deserved.
Sally didn’t get to turn Ugly Gabe into a statue using Medusa’s head like she deserved.
Sally and Percy did not get the money for selling Ugly Gabe’s statue that was made by Medusa’s head like they deserved.
Ugly Gabe did not get turned into a statue by Medusa’s head like he deserved.
WE DIDN’T SEE MEDUSA’S HEAD TURN UGLY GABE INTO A STATUE LIKE WE ABSOLUTLY DESERVED.

mmm au where nico doesn't run away when he finds out bianca dies. he just starts sobbing and percy comforts him. and percy continues to care for nico. he doesn't leave him at chb during the school year but convinces sally to take in nico as well. they grow up together. percy doesn't let nico feel left out for being a son of hades. he talks nico through his grief over bianca's death.
nico looses his sister but finds his brother.

No you guys but when Sally drops the match in the ice cream in that episode and Poseidon shows up I was so confused at first but here's the thing- it's a burnt offering! Not only has this woman taught her son Ancient Greek, but she knows what to do to communicate and bring Poseidon to her. Because it's more than a prayer or a casual thought. It's not an Iris message or something like that. She's a mortal, and what can mortals do to contact the gods? They too can make sacrifices, so does Sally just casually carry a box of matches in her pocket for important moments when she needs to have a serious talk with her boi Sy about something and light a match on some food as a burnt offering to make her presence and location known specifically known to him so he can come to her as their signal? Because in that scene he shows up IMMEDIATELY. They've got to have a system down and that man is still obviously whipped.
I digress.

PJO headcannon:
Percy has used Riptide to cut his food when he couldn't find a knife. Sally and Annabeth are very disappointed. Paul doesn't notice at first (the Mist) so he just stands there, getting more and more confused as he tries to figure out what's going on.

I made posts defending Gabe once. Well, not defending him but saying I disagree with him being petrified on a moral level. I object the same way I'd object to the death penalty irl. It's inhumane and there's better ways to punish someone. I still hate him though.
Anyways, I guess the writers of the show felt similar to me, but it sounds like they decided to keep the petrification but tone down his nastiness. And no! That's not the point! He doesn't deserve petrification, but he deserves to be portrayed as the monster he is! Don't sugarcoat him! You can give him punishment without petrification, but you need to let us see why he needs to be punished!

Ok I wanna just say I was rewatching ep 1 and Sally Jackson was in the rain with Logical by Olivia Rodrigo playing in the background and like. There is Sally Jackson surrounded by water thinking of her son, the son of a God. A God, she thought loved her, a powerful immortal like no man she'd met, and yet still, a man she thought loved her. Why? Because he got her thinking 2 plus 2 equals 5, that she was the love of his life, that if rain don't pour and sun don't shine then changing him was possible. And now she's thinking love is not logical.

On one hand I really enjoyed that in the books percy was learning everything at the same time as the reader...
But the take that Sally kept him away from their madness yet homeschooled him just so he'd have great manners!!??

I think my favorite part of pjo is how accurate the single-mom and only-child relationship is. Sally and Percy have a relationship that is SO SIMILAR to my mom and I’s relationship. Like obviously there are differences, I’m not a boy or a demigod, our personalities are different, but they’re there all the same.
My mom worked herself to the bone to provide for me growing up. As in she was constantly sick from the hours she worked and ended up in the hospital on more than one occasion. She sent me to private schools and made sure I had nice clothes and always had food. We didn’t always live in the safest or nicest apartments, but she did her best to make sure I always felt safe.
She is my closest friend and confidant. I would walk into and through hell to save her. I would lose my entire mind if she died. Every time I’m with people I don’t know how to talk to, I just start talking about how amazing my mom is and how much I love her. We’re both neurodivergent and that made going to school and daily life a huge struggle for both of us.
I am not my father’s daughter. I am my mother’s daughter.
