Hi love! While I'm not committed to their FIRE movement per se, here are some of my best tips to set yourself up for financial success:

Diligently keep track of your income and expenses. Audit every week or month to give yourself an honest look at your financial activity

Create financial goals and a realistic budget to help you achieve them

Prioritize saving up a 6-month emergency fund, maxing out your Roth IRA (or backdoor Roth IRA) and HSA account (if in the U.S.)

Purchase high-quality, timeless items that are built to last; It's cheaper in the long run to maintain items vs. constantly repurchasing items if you have the option

Create multiple sources of income: A 9-5 job, investments, side hustle, digital products, etc. Find ways to monetize activities you would enjoy doing without earning a dime

Focus on building a strong network and high-value, transferable skills: Even if you plan on working as an employee forever (no shame in that – it's a great way to get a steady paycheck), always strategize your career in a way that would leave you equipped to make it on your own. You need to be in the driver's seat of your career and financial life at all times

Make food at home, take care of your health, and take advantage of preventative medical testing, screenings, and procedures. Losing your health (physical and mental) is the easiest way to ruin your life satisfaction and your finances

Apparently much-needed reminder that reposting artists' art (by saving the images or screenshotting them and reuploading them yourself) on other platforms without the artists' expressed permission and without credit is theft and an insult to their passion and craft. You are profiting (in views, in attention, in feedback) from someone else's work and ideas, who do not get that feedback for sharing their creation.

Yeah, I’ve gotten a dress that did NOT look like it appeared in the pictures. Got a full refund and got to keep the dress. 👌🏻 I’ve got a damaged item - again, full refund and kept the item. Your package, for whatever reason, doesn’t come in? Lost in the mail or even stolen, EVERYTHING

Hi love! This is a vague question as I have no clue as to how much you make per month, what your monthly expenses are, the debt you've accrued, or the interest rate & terms of your credit card debt. Here are my general tips, but please note that I'm in no way a professional. Please contact a CPA for personalized, expert information on how to move forward with your financial life. Some high-level tips are below:

Track your income & expenses. Know exactly how much money is coming in and going out every month, so you know how much of your income is going towards your monthly expenses.

Do an audit of your expenses. See how much of your expenses are essential purchases. Without rent or utilities, I would imagine these are quite low (I don't know if you pay for any food at home, though).

Know exactly how much debt you're in and the interest rate of all of your debts.

Determine how much of your monthly income goes towards these essential expenses. Subtract this number from your post-tax income. Multiply this number by 3 to 6. This is the emergency fund savings you need in case any unforeseen expenses/job loss occurs. Use this information to determine your debt payment and savings timeline. Personally, I believe you should have at least a month of savings available for use before committing to paying off existing debt. This way, you don't accumulate more debt in the process of trying to get out of the debt you've already accrued.

Create a timeline with a self-assigned monthly payment plan to pay down your debts. When it comes to consumer debt, I believe outside of a small 3-month emergency fund, it is best to be as aggressive as possible to pay it down, especially if you're living at home.

For your savings, I HIGHLY recommend putting this money in a high-yield savings account.

Discovery!

People using Glaze/Webglaze! I have made a discovery. Inputting a png produces dramatically better results than inputting a jpg.

Here's why, confirmed by Glaze lead: Glaze only works on pngs, so it converts to a png anyway regardless of what you put in. After, it will convert back to the file format you input (like a jpg), and likely uses whatever default compression method to do so. So you end up with compression on compression, and it creates some nasty results.

Tonight I was trying to Glaze this majority-red work (which we all know gets destroyed by compression because of the color) and was gutted by how absolutely terrible it looked. Like saving a quality 3 jpg in Photoshop, honestly. I'm all for giving up *some* quality and ability to discern small details in favor of the protection of Glaze, but this was too much. Crisp details were entirely lost when I got it back. I was lamenting the fact that I might have to just not Glaze this work at all. Since you can't really dial back the intensity for webglaze anymore (it's medium or high, or default, which selects for you), I decided to try putting a png through. Which came out WAY better?

Then I put another one through to be sure, and had the same (better) results. And one more for good measure, all of which produced better results than their jpg counterparts.

So my workflow moving forward will be high quality png into webglaze, then convert to jpg on my own to save quality as much as possible. P.S. if you want to see the work I included here for reference, it's here.

This damn thing is way out of print and often goes for $200 second-hand for a 100-page artbook, but! To keep you from having to flip through incomplete uploads on hentai sites, and to save you from minuscule and questionably seeded torrents for files you might not know how to open, you should absolutely NOT check out this Google Drive I made of some ridiculously high-quality .png scans of the '98 Trigun artbook. Absolutely don't spread it around to anyone interested and keep it from getting lost ever again.
