Edit* Did you know that it's confirmed by Scream Screenwriter Kevin Williamson that Stu and Billy were written based on two real-life gay serial killers named Nathan Freudenthal Leopold Jr. And Richard Albert Loeb, who were Chicago University students back in the 1900's who desired to commit the perfect Murder. Williamson urges fans to research more about Nathan and Richard to get a better understanding of Stu and Billy, in quotations, "One of the reasons that one could get the other one [to follow] is because I think the other one was secretly in love with him. And it was sort of a fascinating case study on double murderers. If you Google 'Leopold and Loeb' you will see. And you'll read about it, and you'll get, ok, that's Billy and Stu," -Kevin Williamson

Actor Neve Campbell, the woman who played Sidney Prescott in the Scream franchise, had a little something to say herself. She says during an interview with 'Pride Source', "Maybe some of their anger comes from not being allowed to be who they want to be, if you wanna go there,". She also claims that Stu was probably more in love with Billy than the other way around. Williamson agrees and says, "One was the follower, and one was the leader,"
