Puppeteering My Slave
Four best friends live in this beautiful plush ole fashion mansion pervading with modern technology they invite me to their home for a Hypnosis session.
Apparently, they all have anger issues that have them dealing with the results of their actions actually and it is so fucking weird I mean.
My cab arrives at the gates they open up in a big huff shaking as the driver parks by the front pond, I pay the guy off then exit the car and head for the door.
The door swings open up with a whoosh of air flowing through the air conditioner is on extremely loud and the mansion is fucking cold.
He guides me to the living room offering me a drink then sits down with this evil glare aimed at me like a laser ready to shoot if j move.
He sighs slamming his fist he demands for us to commence then crosses his arms in an annoyance facial expression on his face it to idiotic.
Rolling my eyes I place a giant black back pack the unzip it reaching for the interesting looking objects and place it on the glass table.
James is having a what the fuck moment at the sight of this strange object that he gives a slowly flick as the pendulum rotates side to side.
Instantly his eyes fall from mine focusing on to the pendulum going back and forth the light hits the glass casting a strange shadow over him.
I enjoy all of this yawning a bit my arms are on full strength outstretching into the air in a row of succession and he is sock swept into the darkness.
I rise to my feet standing over him letting the trance be induced I help him to visualize his own submissive plane an exact copy of his living room.
Upon my instructions James stands on top of the staircase as he takes a few steps down counting away to his own self destructive demise.
The projection of his mind swirls from his eyes on to the walls emitting a black and white spiral spinning widely out of control before him.
He is soon fraught in a sea of trouble that holds him back as he struggles to even try to escape and calling him to relinquish all control.
A door fall from the ceiling landing in front of him he steps down grabbing the handle in his palms he twist the knob then walks in to the room.
The door closes behind him ceiling shut in his own mind I can see transformation upon him and I snap my fingers as his body falls in.
Falling forward his body laying on his lap his head and legs drips down hitting the floor as I consume him completely and I am in charge.
Laughing bit I let my echoes go through the air swirling as it hit the wall bouncing across the world and it hits his head hard as he is screaming.
“How can I help you? What is your issue?”
“You know the deal anger management”
“Ok then! So Sam take a gander at this.”
“What in the sweet Jesus is that?”
“It’s called a metronome now shut the fuck.”
“Excuse me!”
“Your attention span is fading and all you can see is the pendulum.”

Murphy and his two youngest daughters were forced from their Southbridge home on Feb. 11, 2021, when constables showed up at their Townsend Street door and presented eviction documents that named a previous tenant, who was a woman.
Murphy showed constables his lease, which he later shared with Delaware Online/The News Journal. The lease, which ran from Nov. 15, 2020, through Nov. 30, 2021, was signed by the landlord, Kenneth Stanford, and Murphy. A judge later confirmed Stanford's signature by matching it to other legal documents the landlord had signed.
The Murphys were forced to leave behind school laptops, an urn holding the ashes of Murphy's wife, who died in 2018, and several other belongings.
Justice of the Peace Court Deputy Chief Magistrate Sean P. McCormick said during an emergency hearing on Feb. 18, 2021, after Murphy filed wrongful eviction motions, that Stanford likely perjured himself in court filings and went so far as to read the landlord his rights against self-incrimination after he said he "misrepresented" the facts to the court.
On Tuesday, Connolly dismissed the case. Among the reasons he gave for dismissing were:
- As an arm of the state, Justice of the Peace Court is not subject to suit under the civil action for deprivation of rights section for either damages or equitable relief.
- The plaintiffs cannot seek relief in this matter because they did not provide factual allegations that imply the defendants are engaged in ongoing violation of federal law.
- Constables are entitled to administrative immunity when executing facially valid orders.

One of the funniest things about the LXG film (2003) and the studio politics around it when you look back twenty years later is how outside of Sean Connery being the big star (to the movie's detriment tbh), the studio was absolutely banking on Shane West as Tom Sawyer being the breakout star of the movie, especially for the American and female demographics, so much so that it's obvious from the deleted scenes and even what was left in the final print that if they couldn't get Connery back for the sequel, he would have been upgraded to the new protagonist and team leader, as well as getting the main romance with Mina, and at the time, Shane West was a rising star and teen heartthrob coming in super hot from 'A Walk to Remember' (2002) and I definitely remember him being very popular; likewise, even though he was only signed on for one film as Dorian Gray for obvious reasons, Stuart Townsend was also on the rise as a sexy heartthrob after his turn as Lestat in 'Queen of the Damned' (2002) and had just lost out on Aragorn in LotR after it was decided he was too young for the role after like, the first day of filming, so while secondary to Shane, he was obviously also there as a popular hot guy to draw in the ladies or whatever, and he's the only man in the film who gets any romantic scenes.
Anyway, all this to say that while both of them definitely had a lot of people and women in particular finding them super hot as expected, the big surprise is how I don't think the studio was banking on obscure British character actor Jason Flemyng as Jekyll being called in at almost the last minute and made to look as wet and pathetic as possible, even in his shirtless scenes with his abs out, arguably getting the most horny on main reactions and being one of the most well-liked characters and actors in the film, and while we will never know for sure, I do wonder how that unexpected popularity would have factored into decisions about where to take the story and characters in the sequel, especially on the romance front where, as I have argued before, it felt like the studio half-assed both options to hedge their bets and not commit before seeing what would be more popular.

Sean Astin is joining forces with former Stranger Things adversary Matthew Modine in the Indy film “Hard Miles.”
“The film is based on the true story of the cycling team at Colorado’s Ridge View Academy, which for decades has given at-risk youth a second chance through academic rigor, targeted treatment, competitive sports and leadership. Bret Ian McAfee, age 54, of Townsend, DE, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on June 15, 2023. Bret served as a Trooper with the Delaware State Police. Before graduating from the police academy, Bret earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from attended Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC.
During his career as a State Trooper, he began his journey as a member of the 65th DSP Recruit class on March 16, 1996. Bret was assigned to Troop 3 patrol, where he excelled in his role and even trained numerous recruits along the way. In 2010, he joined the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM) and Conflict Management Team (CMT), further showcasing his commitment to his profession. Throughout his career Bret was a constant presence at Troop 3, where he became one of the longest-serving Patrol Troopers. Master Corporal Bret McAfee 962 last day worked was on June 1, 2023, after serving for over 27 years. He received his final transfer and is now serving on Eternal Patrol. His loving family always sent Bret off on his shift with “Come home safe” now Bret is eternally “Safely Home.” He served God, his church, Fairwinds Baptist Church, Bear, DE where he served for many years as a deacon, his family, and his state honorably.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Rachel (Mallonee) McAfee, whom he married on October 18, 1997; his beloved daughter, Lauren Rileigh; his mother, Janet I. (Geary) McAfee of Danville, PA; his brother, Sean (Lolita); sister, Heather (Carl) Cahill; brother, Brandon; brother Ryan (Rebecca); sister, Tiffany; and nieces and nephews. Bret was preceded in death by his father, Terry K. McAfee.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 10 AM-1PM followed by the celebration of life service with Active-Duty Honors by the Delaware State Police at Fairwinds Baptist Church, 801 Seymour Rd, Bear, DE, officiated by Pastor Carlo DeStefano. Committal service will be Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 12 Noon at Jacob's Church Cemetery, Paxinos, PA, near his childhood home. Arrangements are by Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, Newark, DE.

The Widow's Best of 2023

2023: Following such a desperate year for so many in the world this quotation by Nietzsche seems pertinent. "We have art in order not to die of the truth." So, in an effort to uplift whoever might read this, here's a somewhat curtailed list of a few of our favourite things we've seen this year. It wasn't the hottest time for live shows; we walked out of five! One every few years, maybe, but five! Disappointing. However we still managed to find some wonderful things, not all of them new. Let's begin with…
MOST SPECTACULAR: Phelim McDermott's Akhnaten at the London Coliseum. We'd been asked so many times: "Have you seen Akhnaten?" No, we hadn't but now we have and, OK, it's a Philip Glass opera (pictured above and below) but really, with a set by Tom Pye and costumes by Kevin Pollard it's a full-on feast for the senses, with the ever-inventive Gandini Juggling, choreographed by Sean Gandini, doing what they do best.

BEST CIRCUS SHOW: Cirque Le Roux's thrilling and ambitious Entre Chiens et Louves – staged at Le Bon Marché department store in Paris (take note Selfridges) – took our breath away even without the sublime Lolita Costet in the cast; and Circa's Humans II at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at London's Southbank Centre.
COMPANY TO WATCH: Hoops Désolé! A “crazy” six-strong troupe of artists drawn from the circus school in Quebec, Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Éloize.

BEST DANCE: Wayne McGregor’s Woolf Works at London’s Royal Opera House, with the mesmerising Alessandra Ferri, who at 59 was the same age as Virginia Woolf when she died. Another dancer with astonishing longevity is the Spanish Lucía Lacarra, now 48, who appeared in the Ballet Icons Gala at the London Coliseum.
BEST SHOWBIZ MEMOIR: Walking Through Walls by performance artist Marina Abramović; Do It For Your Mum by Roy Wilkinson, then manager of his brothers' band British Sea Power.
MOST TERRIFYING: He's done some daring things in his time and on World Circus Day Hungarian high-wire artist Laci Simet performed a sensational walk across the River Danube – 40 metres up in the wind – with only a balance pole to keep him safe.
BEST FILM: German film Afire or Roter Himmel by Christian Petzold (he’ll never let you down); Babak Jalali’s Fremont, set in a fortune cookie factory; and the Mexican film The Empty Hours directed by Aarón Fernández.
BEST ARCHIVE PIC: Josephine Baker and Dalida at L’Olympia music hall in Paris in 1968. A legendary pair!
LONGEST-SERVING FEMALE DJ: Texan Mary McCoy, who at 85 has been on the air for almost 72 years, and entered the Guinness Book of Records.
BEST DESERT ISLAND DISCS CASTAWAY: Actor/comedian/writer and so on, Adrian Edmondson; snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan.
MOST INSPIRING: The Maricarmen dance school in Chorrillos, south of Lima, in Peru, run by retired dancer Maria del Carmen Silva, offers free classes to girls of all abilities from low-income areas.
BEST DOCUMENTARY: Never Be a Punching Bag for Nobody by indie rock musician Naomi Yang; My Indiana Muse, in which artist Robert Townsend discovers his Kodachrome muse, Helen.
FOND FAREWELL: Actor David McCallum, who, as The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’s Illya Kuryakin was an enduring heartthrob for a certain generation of girls and women. Closer to home the UK lost its leading circus director, Phillip Gandey (above), at 67, whose shows – including Cirque Surreal, The Chinese State Circus and The Lady Boys of Bangkok – were always far and away the most creative and exciting; and The Circus of Horrors – a show I reviewed more times than any other, except perhaps Cirque du Soleil – lost its co-creator and frontman, Doktor Haze (below) at 66. Along with Gerry Cottle, they were notable as two of the nicest circus men I met during my reviewing years, and are greatly missed.
LAST WORD: It wouldn't be a Widow Stanton 'Best of' without some showgirls. This picture was taken by the Argentinian photographer Luisita Escarria, who with her sister Chela, documented all the artists appearing in revues in Buenos Aires from 1958 to 2009. Their story and wondrous archive might have been lost had it not been rescued by filmmakers Sol Miraglia and Hugo Manso. Their documentary Foto Estudio Luisita will warm your heart… and fortunately both the sisters lived long enough to see it.
