Members of the “Vegan Strike Group” leapt into the dolphin habitat at Boudewijn Seapark in Belgium during a show, with animals in the water. Thankfully, the dolphins responded to the trainers’ emergency recall, and they were not hurt. The protestors were arrested, and the presentation resumed after the habitat was swept by divers for foreign debris. Once again, total normal and innocent behavior from animal rights activists that wasn’t at all stressful or potentially dangerous to the animals 😇

Take care/comfort of yourself
A few bullets/ideas to heal and cure your wounds, feel free to share some that work for you
Rest. Take a break. Even if you feel you have no time left, do take a break. I promise it won't hurt but do you good.
Eat. Anything you feel like. Have a sweet or an ice-cream, or even pizza. Have some ramen. Eat all your meals and have snacks anytime your body asks you. Anytime you crave something. Have your comfort food every now and then, too.
Take a long shower. Better if warm. The heat helps distress your body. Close your eyes and breathe out under the water. Or take a bath, if you rather. Stay some minutes into the hot water to just think nothing at all but how perfect the water's temperature feels on your skin.
Take things slow. Don't rush. Enjoy the process of everything. Enjoy the trip.
Wear pajamas all day or wear something comfortable.
Take time to do something you liked to do as a child (painting, drawing, cooking, dancing, singing, playing, watching animations...). You're never too grown up. Embrace that side of yours.
Exercise. Even small movements on a mat can help your body feel better and distress. Try yoga, try meditation (there are many youtube videos, find the one that works for you; remember to check if you can actually do all those movements cause our bodies need time to adjust if they're not used). Do some breathing meditation.
Listen to music that adapts to your mood, or to uplifting music. Make soundtracks for your days or for each thing you need to do: chores, studying, cooking, meditation.
Make lists of the things you would like to try once.
Buy something to yourself (anything: a book, clothes, a bag, a new videogame... treat yourself for once. You deserve it, even if you already have books). Treat yourself.
Go on the top of a hill or in the country and scream your heart out. You can go with a friend and see who screams the hardest
Go walk or take your bike and go in the nature, or take a trip to that side of your town/area that you haven't been yet/for a while now
Collect something: flowers, leaves, cards, stamps, pencils, caps, hairbands (we know they'll disappear anyway, but try)... whatever your heart likes.
Make a journal about the nice things that happen to you. Even the smallest ones. Try to write at least one thing down everyday. Add photos, flowers, postcards, journal's cuts... make it yours.
Make a notes' collection of compliments and leave them nearby your desk or around your house. You can even collect them in a box and pick one everyday to remind you of your most beautiful physical and emotional traits. You can use it as a goodnight text (you can put in the box words that can actually form sentences; pick a few ones each time: see what comes out).
Take time to grieve. And once you're done, fiind ways to be grateful for whatever you still have and be positive about your future
Try to turn chores into an adventure (investigate who's senor dust)
Pet animals. You can even join your city's shelter, I'm sure loads of dogs would be glad to be taken care of by you. Cats can take out negative energies, while horses are some of the most empathic and used for healing animals ever. Even dolphins: if you're lucky enough to have a seapark, get there and spend some time with them. But any type of animal you like.
Go near water bodies: water is calming and even a small lake or river can have a relaxing effect on your mind.
Watch movies, maybe with someone dear to you or while hugging your blanket (if it's not too hot), or your stuffed animal. Watch youtube videos, especially funny ones or small series.
Learn a new language or about a subject you are interested into (it can really be anything)
Travel, if you can ofc. It doesn't have to be far, it can be even just to the other side of your town.
Change. If you feel like you have to, follow your guts. Change whatever you feel the need to change. The disposal of the forniture in your room, the color of your walls... If change doesn't feel okay, then don't do it. Listen to yourself. Talk with yourself. But don't be too scared of trying new things. Little changes are good and can be undone, I promise.

Vorige vrijdag stond onze schoolreis gepland.
