You mentioned that young justice did a lot you didn’t like after s1- how would your ideal season 2 and beyond be?

Oh man, that's a dangerous question to contemplate.

Caveat that this is how I personally would've liked to see it play out, and I haven't rewatched it in a while so I may be fuzzy on the details or timeline of events. And word of warning, this got long.

First move would be to bin the timeskip. We'd be letting the characters age up gradually - maybe one year a season. Since it's perfectly structured for episodic adventures, we can imply downtime between episodes to fill out a year - plus this gives us opportunities for regular birthday or holiday episodes without an obligation to do them every time. We have enough characters without real regular birthdays that I just think it would be cute if Wally was like "congrats Conner and M'gann, I don't know squat about the martian year or how clone time works so I've decided it's your birthday, I made Shazam get us a cake"

Nixing the timeskip gives us the opportunity to put focus on Robin becoming Nightwing as an actual arc of its own, which could be an interesting opportunity to adjust the way it happened in the comic - which couldn't quite be adapted wholesale, because in the comic Robin was running around leading the Teen Titans as Robin for years and years with the Titans before he decided it was time to forge an identity of his own, accepting that he was fully out from under Batman's shadow now that Jason Todd was officially the new Robin. There was some comic angst from Dick about Bruce never officially adopting him which we could loop into that arc, since this Batman is pretty perfectly designed for being a well-meaning but emotionally distant and uncommunicative dad. What I'd personally want to avoid is leaning two hard on the Angsty Robin angle, because (a) that was already covered by Teen Titans (which we'd also want to avoid too much overlap with) and (b) Nightwing is at his best when he's optimistic, cheerful and emotionally well-adjusted. It'd be more fun, I think, to explore a version of Robin that is burying his angst under optimism and cheer in an arc that culminates in his cathartic dad-issues convo with Batman and subsequently his transition to being Nightwing. This gives us opportunities for fun intercharacter dynamics! Robin spent most of season 1 being the reliable party member who had the most experience superheroing and helped keep everyone grounded. Giving him an emotionally destabilizing personal arc and letting the rest of the party take a turn helping him through it could be fun! Plus, we've got one telepath with no boundaries (M'gann), two characters with a lot of experience with Dad Problems (Artemis and Superboy) and two characters who will be 100% supportive even if they don't fully know what's going on (Kid Flash and Aqualad), so he wouldn't be lacking in people realizing what's going on and helping him through it. This is fully a result of my "nightwing is my fave" bias but I think it'd also really work to let the gang have more fun group dynamics with personal emotional stakes, and I think Robin deserves to be helped once in a while, ya know?

Most of the other s2 timeskip stuff I'd either want to nix or foreshadow better. I don't particularly like the Superboy/M'gann "breach of psychic trust" breakup but I think it'd bother me less if it was actually built up rather than skipped over. If we have to do it, let's start with the premise that M'gann doesn't really get that humans are much less comfortable with telepathy than martians are. It's planted in season 1 and mostly centered on Superboy, the only party member with explicit trauma about telepathic intrusion and mind control due to his clone conditioning. He's the one who reacts most harshly and angrily when M'gann does her psychic link thing, but his reaction mellows out as he learns to trust and rely on her to protect him against other telepathic intrusions.

But while this helps improve their relationship, it doesn't fix the underlying miscommunication on M'gann's end - she seems to feel like her peers freaking out about her telepathically popping into their heads is a temporary imbalance, especially since she does the psychic link thing basically every mission instead of having to invest in earbuds or communicators. She's so comfortable with telepathy, especially after season 1 where she reveals her one big secret (being a white martian with a monstrous base form) and no longer has anything to mentally hide from the gang, that I think this could be an interesting miscommunication to explore. Ultimately her teammates will still value their privacy and mental autonomy even after they've spilled their big secrets and learned to trust each other, but M'gann is unlikely to realize this because from her perspective they've just finally stopped being weird about this stuff. M'gann is essentially experiencing slow culture shock at realizing just how private humans and other non-telepathic people are about their thoughts, and how much they at best mistrust and at worst hate and fear the thought of anyone else popping into their heads and rummaging around. So really, I think the psychic breach of trust thing should happen earlier and in a more minor way than it did in the season we got. M'gann using her powers to make Superboy forget a fight they had is a breach of trust and very uncool, but it also seems a little too extreme for the dynamic and understanding we've seen these characters share - even if she'd be willing to do that to anyone else, I think she'd know that doing it to Superboy would be the number one way to break his already fragile trust in her powers.

I'd go with a more slow buildup - start with M'gann commenting unprompted on the casual intrusive thoughts of her peers, totally nonjudmentally (she knows better than anyone that thoughts don't make you a bad person, obviously) but in a way that still makes them uncomfortable or angry. Maybe give her a plot reason to invade someone's mindscape with the best of intentions - could go classic on that one, give us a supervillain with dream-invading powers or something. Encourage her to push the boundaries with her teammates that she doesn't seem to realize are there. Maybe let Martian Manhunter sit her down and give her the "no really, you can't keep your mind this open in casual interactions, it's not about being bad for you, it's about being bad for them" talk. M'gann needs to learn to understand what privacy means, and she needs to become willing to impose polite and moral limitations on how she uses her powers. Since we're negating the timeskip where Beast Boy is introduced into the team, maybe we could work that in here - as he's introduced and develops his powers and he and M'gann's sibling relationship becomes more pronounced, especially if we keep the thing about his mom dying, we have a good character in-road to getting M'gann to better understand how to bridge the gap between herself and humanity.

Personally I'd nix both "aqualad pretends to be a bad guy" and "artemis and kid flash retire from superheroing". I think the show started kind of over-relying on the "you thought I betrayed my friends but actually we planned the whole thing in advance" gambit after it worked so well in the first season, and not telling the team telepath about the secret plan was pretty textbook idiot plot stuff. If we really want Artemis and Aqualad undercover there are still ways to make that work, but I'd say push that way down the line. Give us more time with the team first. If we want Artemis and Wally to retire from superheroing to focus on college and their relationship, that's workable, but that'd be a season 3 or 4 thing at the earliest.

If we want to expand the cast, let's do it gradually - I favor episodic adventures, and "there's some new weirdness in *location* that turns out to be either a supervillain plot, a new kid superhero to give our phone number, or both" is pretty much ideal adventure-of-the-week stuff. If we absolutely must bring in Impulse and Blue Beetle, let's not make the stuff with the Reach the only thing happening that season.

The biggest difficulty with plotting this show is avoiding just making Teen Titans, But Again. That unfortunately means a lot of the best classic comic arcs are off limits without severe modification - Judas Contract, Terror of Trigon, even Brother Blood's whole thing are kind of nixed. This is probably why the show never brought in Raven or Starfire, even though they absolutely could and should. So I understand the appeal of bringing in other threats like supervillain conspiracies and alien invasions and alien invasions but different this time, but this party lineup is demonstrably at its best when it's dealing with less apocalyptic supervillains-of-the-week. That said, in the comics, Raven arranges for the New Teen Titans to form because she goes to the Justice League for help with the Trigon prophecy and they turn her away - an arc that would fit bizarrely well with this version of the Justice League, which are a bit more dickish than their standard portrayal. Letting her go to the already-formed Young Justice crew for help would let us introduce a modified and potentially shortened Trigon arc without having to centralize Raven in the cast like they did in Teen Titans and Titans - could just add her to the expanded roster of Miscellaneous Heroes They're Buds With after they beat up her evil dad. She's also a little older than the rest of the Titans in the comics (and looks MUCH older than them), which could be used in this adaptation and help set this version apart from the other Trigon adaptations that have a tendency to make her increasingly younger - could get a lot of mileage out of making her a slightly awkward and aloof young woman rather than an emotionally troubled child. (Plus, if we want a cheeky nod at the comic-run romantic subplot between her and Kid Flash without actually breaking up the Artemis/Wally OTP we could just have Wally be his usual level of casually flirtatious with this Cool Spooky Goth lady and be gently dismissed because he's "a bit immature" for her.) Also, give me classic '80s hair Starfire or give me death, Nightwing deserves a love interest who can and will bridal carry him

Also, if we absolutely must "kill" Wally, we're bringing him back in one season max. Getting disintegrated into the speedforce is basically just a day at the spa for speedsters.

Overall my angle would be leaning into the massive ensemble cast potential after a proper season or two of just getting to know the main crew and letting them develop and explore the status quo. Trickle in a few more kid heroes during the early episodic adventures. Sprinkle in some more episodes where they deal with one or more members of the Justice League without anyone being mind controlled at the time. Dial back the Grand Conspiracy angle and let our heroes have a few unconditional wins once in a while. More scaled-down character-focused episodes like Homefront and Coldhearted where we fix the camera on one member of the team and get really deep inside their head as they go through something emotionally taxing but are ultimately rewarded in the end. We can still dive to dark and traumatic levels, but we need to counterbalance it with unconditional levity and victories for the heroes so the grimdark stings more when it hits. More character focus, less sweeping conspiracies, no more skipping over major arcs of character development, un-kill Wally West 2k22

So yes we finally went to see Shazam: Fury of the Gods (Shazam 2) this week. There wasn't anything in the way of Collectables which is both surprising and not being there wasn't anything for the first movie but you could have had cups with toppers with the Marvel/Shazam Family which would have been cool but yeah there wasn't anything. Actually there wasn't a big mech push for this movie to begin with not that I have seen anyway..

I thought the actual movie itself was great I really liked it! Alot of ppl where hating on it and I don't see why? the movie is pretty much a perfect sequel to the first one they took everything that made the first movie great and did more of that plus added more action and cool things like monsters dragons, cameos from other DC things and linking it to the previous movie and the broader DC film universe.

Your story is pretty much this Some time has passed and Shazam and his family are trying to do right by the city and being the heroes they deserve but it is not working out for them for the most part then a new threat arrives in the form of "the daughters of atlas" who wish to reclaim magic for the Gods and return them to their rightful place above humanity which means they have to take it back from Shazam and his family which leads to them squaring off over who is truly the one who should wield the power of the Gods

The movie does have more of the family drama from the original and has plenty of humor and heart in this second one even more so then the first. I felt it was a very funny movie where all the jokes land and gags will at least get a giggle out of you.

Also this movie is a visual spectacle the visual are pretty amazing and the action feels very "super heroic" like the bridge recuse around the first of the movie was really well done. all the fights and action was great I felt with this movie they knew what they were doing because of the first and there for the characters where allowed to stretch their legs a bit more and do more things and have this be a bigger and better movie visually. The creatures in this were awesome the Minotaur and Cyclops and Harpies in the 3rd act climax of the movie were awesome and I loved all that stuff and the Dragon was really cool and I thought was really well done and did come off as a major threat in this movie. Also Anthea's (played by Rachel Zegler) reality shifting powers were pretty good but of course reminded me of the similar "mirror dimension" stuff that was done in Dr. Strange and No Way Home. but it is cool none the less.

I did think everyone returning for there roles from the previous movie did a perfect job it was like they never missed a beat! I still think Zachary Levi is doing a great job as Shazam I know there are some that think he is not the best for this role but I think he is doing a good job as the character and I also think Asher Angel is doing a good job as his alter ego Billy Batson. I thought Lucy Liu,Helen Mirren and Rachel Zegler were great as the Daughters of Atlas and Lucy Liu did a good job as the films final villian. Also they gave the Wizard (played by Djimon Hounsou) more screen time and he pretty much eats it all up he is great at that character.

But yeah everyone was awesome in this and the movie does do plenty of DC comics references and DCEU ones too and builds out the world even more. You get more mythology and see more of The Rock of Eternity as well as go to DC's version of Mount Olympus and the "Godly Realm" also the linking it to the larger DCEU with all the Wonder Woman stuff was excellent the whole dream sequence thing was both weird and hilarious at the same time but her actually showing up and meeting the Shazam and the family on Mount Olympus was just pure awesomeness I loved it the only thing that would have made this movie better was if Black Adam appeared at the end but we all knew that sadly wasn't going to happen. but also they had Michael Gray the original Billy Batson from the 70s Shazam! tv series appear near the end of the movie and actually call him Captain Marvel gave me a huge smile about that.

but yeah the movie is great! I have no real complaints about it. I enjoyed it. It was lots of fun and funny plenty of action and nice visuals everyone in it was great, lots of fan moments I though like I said it was pretty much the perfect follow up to to the first movie. In my opinion if you loved the first one you should love this one so I don't understand why people are/have been hating on it becasue it's good at least I thought it was. I guess its all about that "its cool to hate stuff" mentality I don't know? but anyway I thought it was good anyway.

Also yes there is 2 credit scenes one mid and one end credit. As for the mid credit there has been some controversy over that. My opinion on that is yes it would have worked better with the actual JSA characters that is 100% true but at the same time it still works with the Suicide Squad/Peacemaker characters its not perfect but it still works but they should have put the JSA characters in there.

As for the End credit scene it is related to the end credit scene from the first movie where we catch up with a couple of characters who are still plotting their revenge.

They might disappoint with some choices but they do not disappoint with their soundtrack (the ending scene with Britin hugging happens) okay that *points at tv still with tears in his eyes* is a fucking good ending.’ He then went outside to smoke while listening to True Faith and then came back like halfway in while holding his cigarette outside and he had actual tears in his eyes and goes ‘the flag brought color back to the city! The people! Brought back color! I might have lied earlier.. i dont think i am okay.’ He then proceeded to sit outside for an HOUR while replaying True Faith over and over again and then at one point that cat from a few days back showed up and all i heard was a very soft ‘you also like the song, huh? Listen to the lyrics, they kinda fit Brian’ Before I went to sleep, he was still there with the song and cigarettes but somehow he managed to get a stray cat to lay on his lap. So i think its safe to say he liked 3x14 and it also fucked him up.

Have we broken Brother Anon ( brotheranon.exe has stopped responding) but I love that it was the flag scene at the end of 314 that broke him. He’s offline, he needs a hard restart, he’s all blue screened.

It is such a good end to such a good season. Season 2-3 are my absolute favorites. I’m excited to see his reactions to 4 - especially the Pink Posse and how poorly that’s handled and the cancer arc and losing Vic. Oohhhh I’m worried for him about Vic. I think he’s going to take it hard.

I’ve seen some people online say that they want the actor who plays Shazam to be Mr. fantastic in the MCU. Eww, no. He’s a terrible person and can’t act for shit. My Blue Beetle "Reaction" - DC's Newest Hero SOARS

Alright, let's talk about my "Blue Beetle Reaction." Yep, you heard it right! DC's bringing a fresh face to the big screen with the debut of our newest superhero, Jaime Reyes, aka Blue Beetle. Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto and starring the talented Xolo Maridueña, this flick's got everything you need: aliens, tech, and, of course, an epic suit of armor. Well, there’s not like any police. Seriously, this movie is making us question why there aren't any police around when stuff hits the fan. https://youtu.be/P0GbEVtXfGQ So, what's the deal, you ask? Well, recent college grad Jaime Reyes rolls back to his hometown full of dreams, only to find things aren't quite the same. But fate has other plans when he stumbles upon an ancient alien relic, the Scarab, which decides, "Hey, you're the chosen one." Cue the super-suit transformation and bam! We've got ourselves a new superhero in town. So, grab your avocado toast, charge up your Air Pods, and let's break down every pixelated punch of "Blue Beetle." The Good First off, this movie pleasantly surprised me. It's like when you order a small coffee, and they give you a large by mistake—it's that good. DC, take notes because "Blue Beetle" is the hero we've been waiting for this year. This easily takes the gold for DC Studios releases this year. Seriously, I was not expecting to be this impressed. The Cast Xolo Maridueña, our new Blue Beetle, is a breath of fresh air and he nails it as Jaime Reyes. He's like the Tom Holland of the DC universe—totally fine, entertaining, and just a tad bit adorable. Jaime Reyes' family? Hilarious! Jaime's quirky family had me in tears. Plus, the superhero bee show? Sign me up! I'd binge-watch that any day. Nana and Uncle Rudy had me laughing out loud for real! Well, most of the time because Uncle Rudy could be quite annoying in large doses. And that story arc with his dad? That storyline hit me right in the feels. Like For real for real. The tear emoji almost made an appearance. I laughed, I cried, and I almost spat out my soda. Trust me; this family's got some comedy gold. And, oh boy, did it get real when Jaime's dad passed away and he talked to his dad on the ancestral plane? Yeah, it hit close to home for anyone who's ever lost someone. Sniff My emotions were all over the place. The Costume Blue Beetle's getup was fly, and that transformation scene was low-key giving me "Venom" vibes. Loved it! Tek Kord and Kord Industries: mad props for delving into the deep cuts of Blue Beetle's legacy. This history lesson was pure gold. The pacing was on point! This movie didn't leave me checking my phone or yawning like "Shazam 2" The villain wasn't your average mirror bad guy. His backstory was epic—child soldier turned villain? A nod to OMAC? Yeah, that's the stuff. Can we talk about the CGI? Seriously, after some recent CGI failures, I'm giving a standing ovation for this solid work. And those video game nods? FF7, you stole the show, but the gamer in me appreciated all the Easter eggs. The Bad Now, let's get into "The Bad." First up, where are the police? Seriously, in a world with explosions, gunfire, and buildings crumbling, not a single cop in sight. Maybe they're all on vacation? And Jaime, buddy, why do you have to be so gullible? The bad guys want to hurt you, and you're out there trying to negotiate like it's a schoolyard squabble. Jaime's got the brains but needs some street smarts. Who talks their way out of danger when a villain is on your tail? Seriously, where's your Spidey sense? Lastly, let's talk about superhero origin stories. Look, I get it, some people need them but can we switch things up a bit? We've seen our fair share, and it's time for a change. Overall Why didn't they promote "Blue Beetle" more? It's better than a straight-to-HBO Max release, that's for sure. This movie deserves billboards, TV commercials, and maybe even a blimp with "Watch Blue Beetle" on it. If you've endured "The Flash" recently, consider this film your refreshing palate cleanser. It's like a polished Spider-Man movie but with its unique Latino charm. So, grab your friends, your sidekicks, or just fly solo, and head to the theater. "Blue Beetle" is the hidden gem you didn't know you needed. Yeah I got superhero fautigued of there movies, I still would have wanted to see batgirl.

On August 2, 2022. Warner Bros. annouced they have pulled Batgirl from releasing. Warner Bros Discovery explained the cancellation was due to “committed to making DC titles big theatrical event films, and ‘BATGIRL’ isn’t that.

Okay so. I have 95 fics posted on ao3 between my two pseuds. I wouldn't say that "Christmas" accurately represents my writing habits since those are from ficmas (and one shazam fic), and while I'll probably do one christmas fic a year in the future, I don't think I'll be doing a full ficmas again. I do feel like established relationship and fluff both fit! I find getting-together fics more difficult to write, so my short fics especially are usually established relationships, and I do like fluff! i like canon compliant stuff, especially for non-rpf fandoms, and while i think i'll write less college/university fics in the future now that i'm out of college, i know that the mashton college au accounts for a lot of those and i do have plans for quite a few other college fics.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of? i'm going to say the sorcerer/prince au! i feel like i did a good job of introducing this entirely new world in just a short little fic. i think the worldbuilding blended into the narrative really well.

Are there any tropes you would only read if written by a trusted friend or writer? in this fandom at least, since I have trusted writers here, soulmate aus are something that i'll only read by people i know will do it in a way i like. soulmate aus are something that i've gotten a bit more particular about as I've gotten older and read more fic. also, there are some aus or tropes that immediately lend themselves to smut (fwb, omegaverse, etc) and if i see one of those marked T or M i'll only read it if i know the writer and can trust that they rated it correctly. remember friends, it's not about the amount of sexual content in your fic, it's about how detailed the sexual content is!

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it? going to be controversial and promote when i watch the world burn despite the fact that when i first posted it i wasn't feeling the best. she deserves better! i know that she's not going to get better, because it's an apocalypse au and those aren't very popular aus, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to be as badly-received as it was? which is hypocritical, because i myself don't usually read apocalypse aus and looking at the tags and such on this one, idk if i would've read it, but i do thing it's good! it's a bit of a different style than is usual for me, but i think it works really well for the subject matter and i think there's a nice emotional quality to it.

What’s something you’ve improved on since you started writing fic? mmmmm good question! on a technical level i'm not sure what i've improved on, just because i'm constantly always trying to improve but it's always in the back of my head since fic is for fun, but on a personal level i've improved at ensuring that fic stays a fun hobby rather than something ugly and stressful and disheartening. i've gotten better at really listening to myself about what i want to work on, rather than forcing myself to work on fics i don't have motivation or inspiration for, and i've also gotten better at not looking at my immense number of wips as a bad thing. it's okay if i don't finish them! that's fine! i still do struggle with these things (there are a few fics where i'm like "aw man, i should finish that for [insert fic event] which is rapidly approaching" but i've also acknowledged that right now i simply don't want to write, i want to read, and therefore many of these fics won't be written in time for those events because i won't force myself), but i'm getting better, which is good!

The Silent Twins: The story of June and Jennifer Gibbons (Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance), who spent years being institutionalized because they refused to communicate with anyone except each other, and wound up writing stories. It may seem like an inspirational story, but from what I’ve read about them, it’s actually another heartrending example of how society fails children, especially Black children.

Prey for the Devil: An exorcism school run by nuns. Self-explanatory.

Halloween Ends: Will it REALLY be the last one? Somehow, I doubt it.

Jeepers Creepers Reborn: How many of these movies are they going to make?

Orphan: First Kill: Yes, the long-awaited prequel, and that’s amazing considering how Isabelle Fuhrman is still supposed to be playing a little girl (or passing for one) when she’s 25. Then again, this is Hollywood, they can de-age people with CGI now.

Till: The murder of Emmett Till, a reminder that sometimes history is more horrible than any horror movie.

She Said: Yes, I recognize the hypocrisy of Hollywood making a biopic about how Harvey Weinstein was brought down. It still looks like a movie worth watching.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods: MUST SEE!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Screw the stupid Avatar 2 trailer, this is a true masterpiece! The editors and cinematographers deserve the mother of all raises.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves: While the first attempt at a movie sucked, this one looks like it’ll be entertaining. 

John Wick 4: As long as no dogs die, I will be eager to see this.

Actually the Wisdom of Solomon makes Billy/Captain Marvel privy to knowledge he hasn't known yet. The best example is him talking to someone who's from Greece. He'd be able to speak Grecian tongue. If he's talking to someone from Japan, his language will immediately default to Japanese.

For practical applications, he can immediately know of his opponent's weaknesses, like say, if he's fighting a Green Lantern, he'd know that the color yellow is their weakness. (IDK about present comics, but that was a Green Lantern's weakness sometime ago)

I know, my ideas were just a headcanon about it since “wisdom” is so vague and ill placed, but it’s dc so what can we expect :/ I like to imagine a little bit of obstacles instead of him being super OP and immediately fluent, especially since languages are so hard to learn, but THANK YOU I love the polyglot portions of his powers. My fav panel is that time he was fighting a robot in Japan and someone was like “yeah I can understand you” and he was like “you speak English???” and they just went “you’re speaking Japanese rn dude????”

It still begs the question, though: does Billy’s ability to understand other languages go away as soon as he says Shazam? Can you imagine if they didn’t? He’s this 11 year old savant all of a sudden, talking to his Mexican classmate in Spanish without any indication that he could do that a year ago, his grades suddenly rise (once he actually has stable schooling), he can suddenly understand taxes, and he’d become Fawcett City’s most famous case as to why the foster care system should be better than it is—because look at this little orphan that can obviously do so much but was nerfed by our terrible society!!—I imagine a Better for Billy Batson campaign starting, where funding for foster care programs and foster families is protested for because people heard this well intentioned but very confused story of Billy being a genius that couldn’t do anything cause of an unstable home life. He’d be glad for it though, seeing how much good it does for the city and the foster care kids that deserve it more than he feels he does

Also: Green Lantern’s weakness is probably my favorite thing in comics because it’s so stupid (I really don’t keep up with present comics, I just make all my already-there knowledge into a sludge that I apply to every iteration) so imagining it being kept under wraps for decades until this goofy lightning guy comes around and says Hal’s allergic to #2 pencils is very entertaining. Followed by the league learning that he’s a middle schooler with this knowledge? Even better.

Request - where y/n is the son of Clark and Lois from the injustice universe. He has kryptonite in his system where he is unable to use his powers because clark (injustice) made an example of him so he can show fear. After that he has been cold to others and distance with people including Barbara who he has feelings for but so much has happened. So he has to relay on martial art from training. with bruce, he also has a bat suit. He also have a deep hatred for his father (injustice superman).

Earth 2- Injustice Universe

You lost your mother Lois because of the Joker. Your father Clark snapped, he became a different person. Now he is starting to kill criminals and doesn't care about anyone or you. He doesn't stand for hope anymore now he stands for destruction. You feel that you lost both of your parents, you don't wear the symbol of hope anymore.

You made a plan to stop your father. You didn't think fully out the plan, but you have kryptonite inside a gun. You are half Kryptonian and kryptonite is still your weakness.

You have been tracking your father, he is about to kill a criminal robbing a bank. But you stepped in and punched him in the face. Everyone saw what you did, they take out their phones and start to record. Now you and Clark start to fight each other.

“You are destroying everything! You are no god!!” You yelled.

“I am a God. Everyone bows down to me and you would bow down to me” Clark said.

You take out the gun, you pulled the trigger. But he used speed to grab the gun and there is one bullet left. Now he will make sure everyone will watch what he will do next. He has his hand around your throat, you are struggling to breathe and tears go down your face.

“Anyone who tries to disobey me or think they can kill me, this will happen!” Clark yelled.

He aimed the gun on your chest and pulled the trigger. Everyone is in shock at what happened, he throws you to the ground. You are in pain and you try to use your powers but can't. Barbara arrived at the scene, she used Batarang to distract him. He left and Barbara picked you up and takes you to the bat cave.

A week later...

You have been in a coma for a week, Barbara and Bruce have been taking care of you. You wake up and you see Barbara looking at a computer screen.

“What happened?” You asked.

She turns around and walked towards you.

“You have been in a coma for a week. The kryptonite was close to your heart. You lost a lot of blood and it was too much kryptonite in your system” Barbara said.

You touch your chest and you see the scar. You sighed and she gives you a cup of water.

“Thank you, Barbara. But I have to go” You said.

“Your father thinks you are dead. Don't do anything stupid, you almost died and if it happens again he would kill you” Barbara said.

“He needs to be stopped,” You said.

“I know. But he is stronger than you, you are thinking reckless” Barbara said.

You take out the iv from your arms and take off the hospital gown. She gave you a hoodie and sweat pants.

“Where are you going?” Barbara asked.

“Dont worry about me,” You said.

She watched you walk away and she called Bruce and told him what happened. You went to a rundown motel and you want to be alone. Your father thinks you're dead and he is still killing criminals, no one can stop him.

Days went by, you didn't leave the motel room for anything. Barbara didn't check up on you, she wanted to give you space. And she has been busy with Bruce designing a suit.

You are in bed watching tv, you hear a knock on the door but you don't get up. She starts to knock louder, but you don't move.

“Y/n! Open the door now” Barbara yelled.

You sighed heavily then got out of bed and opened the door.

“What!?” You yelled.

“Are you done with the pity party!?” Barbara asked.

“How did you find me?” You asked.

She walks in and you closed the door. The motel room is a dump.

“Wasn't hard. I put a tracker on the hoodie you left with. I know you still want to stop your dad, so come with me” Barbara said.

“Why should I? Plus he still thinks I'm dead” You said.

“To train. You are still weak if you went to fight him now well he will break like a stick” Barbara said.

“Fine,” You said.

You leave with Barbara, she took you to Bruce’s mansion. You and Barbara have feelings for each other, you told her, and you were going to ask her out but tragically struck. Her feelings for you haven't changed but she wants to be there for you. She wants you to open up to her but you won't.

“Y/n, how are you,” Bruce said.

“Why do you want me here?” You asked.

“To help you train and stop your father,” Bruce said.

“Okay,” You said.

Bruce and Barbara started to train with you in Martial arts. Today you are fighting against Bruce, Barbara, and the League of Assassins. Some are friends with Bruce and they agreed to train you. They are pushing your limits, they don't let you rest. Any mistake you make will let you know and make you train harder.

During the night, Bruce is training you with weapons. Barbara shows you how to use the weapons, you did struggle to fight with weapons. Bruce and the league of assassins easily knocked the weapons out of your hands.

After training Barbara would want to spend time with you, but you would lock yourself in the bedroom. She gives you space and she goes back to the bat cave.

“Here is your dinner, master y/n,” Alfred said.

“Thank you. You don't have to call me ‘master’, Alfred” You said.

“Master, y/n you shouldn't hide from the world. Yes, you are going through a tough time but that doesn't mean you can't be happy in the end. You should let yourself grieve for your mother, she was a wonderful woman and she was strong” Alfred said.

“I wish everything didn't change,” You said.

“We all feel the same way. But now you have a chance to create the life you want a new one. what would your mother say right now?” Alfred said.

What made you think what he said, he walks out of the room. You start to eat the food and keep thinking about what he said.

A few weeks later...

Bruce and Barbara have been designing a suit for you. They finished with the suit and they watched you test out the suit. Last few weeks, you were training from dawn until the next day. You mastered fighting with weapons and learned new combat moves. You are still distant from Barbara, two days ago you got into a huge argument with her.

You are still in love with her but you want to protect her from your father. You don't want to see Barbara get hurt.

“What do you think of the suit?” Barbara asked.

You take off the helmet.

“I like it and I can move in it,” You said.

“You are okay with the symbol?” Bruce asked.

“I like it,” You said.

The suit is all black, the Batman symbol is red, the eyes are red, the gloves have sharp claws, and the suit protects you from kryptonite. Barbara and Bruce start to suit and you put the helmet back on.

You three found Bruce in the city, you stopped him from killing someone.

“Son, you came back from the dead” Clark said.

“This ends today,” You said.

“I see you are wearing a new symbol -”

“You ruined the legacy of being a Kryptonian!” You yelled.

He used heat vision to attack you but you dodged it. Now Clark is fighting you while Barbara and Bruce are trying to get the citizens away from the fight. Clark punched you and you hit the ground, he used speed to grab you by the neck.

“This time I will make sure you are dead,” Clark said.

“You are not the same father that I used to have. He is dead to me!” You yelled.

You took out, you tased him, and he lets you go. You and Clark used heat vision at the same time, you used more strength to not fall. You throw Batarang at him and it started to explode.

He fell then you start to punch him in the face over and over. All the anger you have for him starts to come out. You take out the kryptonite dagger and you try to stab but he has his wrapped around your hands.

“Y/n! Y/n don't kill him” Barbara yelled.

“He deserves to die!” You yelled.

“That is an easy escape for him! You are much better than him, don't become like him” Barbara said.

Something clicked in your mind.

“I want you to suffer until the day you die. I lost my mom and my father” You said.

You moved away from him and he starts to stand up. Bruce played a video of Lois on the big screen and starts to watch, you your father cry.

The moment where Clark held Lois before she died.

“I can't lose you” Clark cried.

“I will always love you, Clark. I will always remember you and y/n, please be there for each other. He is going need to you. Tell him, I love him...”

You start to cry and it would be the last time you hear her voice.

“Son, I am sorry for the chaos I caused,” Clark said.

“I don't believe you and I will never will. You killed my friend Shazam and many others. You are lucky I didn't kill you because of Barbara. This is the last time you will see me” You said.

You take out the Phantom Zone projector and you sent him to the Phantom Zone.

You and Barbara became an official couple. She makes you happy and you carrying boxes into her apartment. You are going to live with her and she is very happy about that.

You and Barbara sat on the couch and she gave you a peck on the lips.

“So happy that was the last box,” Barbara said.

“Now we have to unbox everything,” You said.

“How about we go get something to eat and we do it later?” Barbara said.

You kissed her on the lips.

“Sounds good to me,” You said.

Later, you and Barbara spend half of the night unboxing everything. You did use speed to do it faster which Barbara is happy about. You and Barbara would save the city together but you don't kill criminals who rob a store. You would kill if it's a life and death situation only.

Do you watch any new marvel films or shows or are you done with the whole thing? I don’t think I’ve watched much new content beyond the last avengers film .. the whole thing lost it’s appeal to me after that and I haven’t seen any of the new marvel shows. If you’ve seen them do you think they are worth watching? Also, I will see venom 2 because GOLLUM is directing it but that’s all folks

the venom movies are an EVENT!! they deserve it!! and of course the into the spider-verse sequel i’m absolutely vibrating in excitement for!! other than that i’m pretty much done with marvel 

i haven’t gone to see an MCU movie in theatres since... ant-man and the wasp? i like ant-man. i’ll watch the next movie if they make one. i eventually watched endgame (once) as an in-flight movie, on a plane and it was cut to hell and i have like, no desire to revisit it at all, it was such a joyless slog to me 

i watched ffh at home eventually (once) and predictably, felt sick to my stomach about it and will never watch it again (no further questions) 

no desire to watch black widow... KIND of want to watch shang-chi even though it looks like literally every other movie marvel has ever pumped out 

as for the shows... (i mooch off my neighbour’s d+ - will not give money to the mouse. i mostly use it to watch the golden girls.) 

wandavision is quite fun on a conceptual level (wholly dependant on how much you jive with the mcu’s... handling of wanda.) 

falcon and the winter soldier i didn’t get much from apart from. sebastian stan hot (to be fair i was ear-deep in brain fog when i watched it). 

loki was by far the biggest disappointment for me... you had OWEN WILSON my beloved, and yet i did not adore it. was so hype in the first episode but every episode after just got worse and worse. 

i feel like dc’s faring a lot better lately, and i enjoyed shazam! and the suicide squad a lot more than anything the mcu has shovelled out. god, if marvel just took the reigns off of james gunn. my God. 

while we’re talking movies i just saw free guy! and it’s really fun and you should watch that.

• does Damian feel bad? oh yeah. he does. so bad. but he really can’t do it alone. they always dreamed of being their parents. or being better than them. but they grew up and realized that they really didn’t want to be their parents.

• but here they were, getting fitted for their suits and adding their own details to it.

jon: hey, you look hot

• they could do this. they could do this. shoot they can’t do this.

• damians own anxiety was going 50 mph. look, okay? remember before heretic when Bruce thought that Damian would become a satanic batman and basically rain hell all over gotham? yeah. that’s what is going on in damians mind.

• he doesn’t want to be that. ( “you won’t be like that, cmon, d, we’re gonna be better.” ) and how Damian wants to believe jon so bad..

• he doesn’t want to become obsessed with Batman like his father did, he still wants to have a life. he doesn’t want to isolate himself away and adopt kids as a coping mechanism. that’s why he needs jon to be superman. jon helps him, he helps him not go off into his own little world and stay there. he believes that with Jon, he’ll be okay. he has to be. maybe he uses jon as his own coping mechanism, but that isn’t the point.

• together, they will outshine their parents. the supersons can do this. they are the next generation, and it’s not like they are alone. they have so many other people to help them. they’ll be okay.

• they have been preparing for this their whole life, but they both feel like they got it too soon. they thought they had more time. Damian does feel guilty when he hears jon talking about how stressed he is about superman and not living up to whatever the hell he has to live up to, but Damian does fear what would. or could. have happened if he didn’t have jon with him. becoming batman took a lot out of him, more than he would like to admit. he just got constant flashbacks to heretic and that whole fiasco he thought he put behind him a loong time ago.

Jon: are you sure you’re okay?

Damian: yes idiot, quit worrying.

Jon: I’ll always worry about, d.

• jon somehow becomes MORE sappier when he becomes superman.

• okay, also, funny story. ( Clark and Bruce don’t find it funny AT ALL ) superman and batman? yeah they sorta kissed after an almost alien invasion. in their suits. uh. in front of an alien who they were arresting for the green lanterns. most people believe that when people say it, it’s a lie, kidding. no they don’t. there were pictures.

bruce: you want to explain this?

damian: not really, no.

• the public knows there’s a new Batman and Superman since yk. Jon’s face is public and was seen as superboy flamebird and now superman, and batman was slightly smaller and had some different moves

• but here’s their main line up: batman ( dami wamie, obvi ), superman ( jonnyboy kent ), nobody ( maya:)) ), green lantern ( tai pham, my baby boy ), lace ( wallace west 2, he goes by lace instead of flash because i said so. ), and shazam ( billy b ).

• fun fact, they have a den mother even though they are all in their 20s. poor dinah.. yeah black canary is their den mother. ( stole it from from yj )

• dinah makes sure they get their injuries checked out, train regularly, and you know. don’t blow up a building.

• again.

• ( when damian and jon were younger, in their teen years, they stupidly accidentally blowed up a building. in their defense, the building was owned by the penguin. and there were no civilians in the area. but they also got a lot of men sent after them.. oops. )

• they are very chaotic. they are the definition of dumbass energy sometimes.

• damian tries to keep the pda down whenever he’s batman, BUT JON DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DO THAT

• hence the amount of photos of jon hugging Damian or kissing him

• damian has never once initiated one in suits

• ( that one time jon almost died does not count )

Damian: thought you were gonna be batman.

Tim: nah, i don’t wanna be bruce. i saw what it did to dick. I would’ve became just like him.

Damian: am i like him??

Tim: god no, bruce would never kiss superman or date him or spray paint the new justice league logo— nice logo, by the way— onto villains bases

Damian: is that a good or bad thing?

Tim; good, that means you probably won’t be a total emotional stunted person using crime fighting as an outlet for unresolved childhood trauma.

Damian: you do realize why i became Robin right

Tim: .. not the point im trying to make. I mean now, brat.

• sometimes you can see some of the heroes dropping by to surprise kids, they heard that their old mentors used to go to children’s hospitals to visit sick kids, so they did that too. on a rare day where there isn’t any crime, which is really rare, they go to a school and talk if it’s a weekday, or they drop by an orphanage to hang out with kids.

• they have gotten into a lot of trouble though. they’re still learning how to work as a team. jon and damian are used to being solo and working with each other, Tai had tagged along a few times when they were younger and knows how they work, along with maya, but billy and Wallace do not.

• they often all get into arguments.

• damian lacks a filter and will criticize everyone if they mess up. and he often goes off alone or is too blunt.

• it takes a long time before they all realize that Damian is just: Damian, he doesnt mean to be mean. ( surprisingly )

• billy is used to being the big kid stuck at the kids table, it’s funny that he’s actually the second oldest when he used to be the youngest. ( lace is like.. 27? shazam is 25.. nobody 24. & the supersons 22. pulled all those ages outta my ass. you’re welcome. )

• dinah is also their therapist. poor dinah.

• like really giving pity to dinah. but dinah loves those kids, she has known some since they were kids. she used to take damian out for ice cream and train with him, and also babysit him. ( AUNT DINAH IS MY FAVORITE GOODBYE ). and she did the same with Jon.

• dinah actually does help a lot of them get over their trauma, not completely, but most have finally spoken about it. they began talking after they all got hit with fear gas.

• that was a bad night.

• they had almost disbanded before when they thought lace had died by the hands of captain cold. they had been arguing all day, and if they didn’t, they might’ve saved him:

• but turns out he wasn’t dead.

• but the argument was still there, and it was strong. it took a while for them to actually work together without dinah forcing them.

• then soon came another new member after maya left to go do some undercover mission for the justice league regarding some alien tech being distributed some place. it was a sad goodbye, but she would be back and she would have a place here.

• welcoming: yara flor. yara was a bit headstrong and wild. damian has screamed at her a lot and almost got into a fist fight with her before being dragged off by his boyfriend 💋

• but she settled in fine. minus the fact damian really wanted to shove a batarang up— anyways. she just had to learn teamwork and shit, she was used to being a solo and she was somewhat new. so they helped her out and she became a solid member of the team.

• sometimes damian and jon just go and sit on a rooftop like they did as kids togeyher. just alone with each other. thinking about how their life changed so quickly.

Damian: i thought we’d ruin our fathers’ legacies and plummet to the ground.

Jon: *he coughed* ..what?

Damian: yeah. i didn’t think we’d get this far, but here we are.

Jon: of course we got this far, and we’re gonna get further.

Damian: i know.

• oh yeah. so. superman. fucking proposed after they defeated darkseid. ( the battle was long, so many people were left injured and on the brick of death, Damian and jon had been separated when it all started. Damian had stayed on earth at first before going to apokolips. Damn he hadn’t seen it since he got resurrected.

Darkseid: oh. I remember you.

Damian: mhm?

Darkseid: ah yes, the little boy who was resurrected here.. the chaos share, your father used it on you.

Damian: i know. i remember what happened. I was there afterall.

Darkseid: I wonder if you are as smart as the original batman.

Damian: i am.

• damian was buying time. he was waiting for reinforcements, namely the people who had powers and could take him down. damian wasn’t stupid. he realized darkseid liked to talk. his friends were fighting off the female furys or whatever they were called. he just had to wait and entertain.

Darkseid: quite the ego there.

Damian: i saved the justice league when i was 13, i deserve to have an ego.

Darkseid: oh, you are by far more talkative than the original.

Damian: thanks.

Darkseid: not a compliment, you fool.
