yknow what really gets me? the fact that we all seem to think that robin doesn’t enjoy jock things. while she’s canonically seen enjoying and cheering at the basketball game in s4 and more importantly, SHE PLAYS SOCCER!!!! she literally says so in s3?!!!! don’t come at me with your “robin is a music nerd ONLY” because she’s so much more than that!! and we should explore soccer player robin in fics bc i’m pretty sure whoever you ship her with will have an aneurysm watching her play soccer

weirdly specific I know but what about fem!goth!reader who's been best friends with eddie for years. he thinks he knows everything about her until one day he climbs through her window to hang (bc of course he does, he can't use a door like a normal person, even if her parents aren't home, where's the fun in that?) and finds her rocking out to taylor swift and it turns out shes a massive closet swiftie.
Weird But F-ing Beautiful
Modern!Eddie X Fem!Gothic!Reader
Summary : You were a metal head with a secret, you love Taylor Swift.
Word Count : 1k
Tumblr media
(How I imagine Reader would defend Taylor)
Warnings : not proofread, 3am writing (again-pls someone save my sleep schedule), so many taylor references!, swears, petnames, cuteness, eddie and reader are just adorable honestly
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
You and Eddie had known each other for years now, you’d say he was your best friend in the whole world.
The pair of you had a lot in common, you were both unusual and unique people. You bonded over that, along with your love of bands like Metallica and Black Sabbath.
You’d always liked darker things, loving halloween whilst most liked christmas. Horror movies and true crime documentaries brought you comfort.
Complaining about summer as your dark wardrobe made the heat cling to you, it was just the person you were. But you had a secret, one that even Eddie didn’t know of.
You absolutely loved Taylor Swift. You’d found yourself bopping along to one of her songs that was on the radio and were hooked, owing all of her albums and having them on regularly.
Enter Sandman to All of the Girls you Loved Before was quite the contrast, but you loved it.Walking down the halls to your locker, Lover was playing in your ears.
People who passed you wouldn’t think that, ripped tights, a skirt that went just above your knees, dark top with long flowing sleeves - bat wings Eddie liked to call them.
Fingers and neck decorated in mismatching jewels, huge boots, a corset around your waist and eye liner that took longer than you’d care to admit. Love Story didn’t really look like a song that’d be your favourite.
Arms wrapped around your waist, squeezing you softly. Pulling out an earbud you spoke, “Edward.”
“Hello Sweetheart.”
“What can I do for you?”
“Milkshakes?”
“You paying?”
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Sipping on your strawberry shake you chuckled at Eddie, leaning over the table you wiped whipped cream off his nose. “Thank you,” he blushed.
“Don’t mention it Rockstar.”
“Sooo,” he said.
“Hm?”
“I may or may not have gotten two tickets to see one of the best bands of all time, and I was wondering if you’d like to come with?”
“Oh my god One Direction have reunited?” You laughed, “Shut up. Will you come with me?”
“I mean I guess I could free up some time for you,” you smirked, taking another sip of your shake.
“Cool.”
“Cool.”
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
“Thank you for the milkshake.”
“Anytime Sweetheart, I’ll text you the details of the concert and stuff.”
“Please do. I’ll see you later,” Leaning over and kissing his cheek, cherry red stain being left on his skin.
Heading up to your room, neither of your parents were home yet. Throwing your bag down you put a record on, Taylor.
Humming to yourself as you undid your boots, you decided to start on some homework. Turning up the music and tuning everything out for a while.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Stood in front of your mirror, you began wiping your makeup from your face, eventually singing along. “I remember when we broke up,” you sang softly, humming mainly.
Sliding off your rings and necklaces, your hair being pulled out of your face, comfortable for the night. God how did this woman make these songs so catchy? What was in them?
You couldn’t help yourself, “I used to think we were forever ever …” You put your books away, cleaning your desk, “We are never ever ever getting back together!”
Dancing around your room, you laughed as you spun around your room. These songs just made you so happy, “We are never ever ever ever getting back together!”
“Okay I get the message,” a voice laughed.
“WHAT THE FUCK!” you screamed.
“Wow chill it’s me.” Eddie.
Storming over to your record player you turned it down, Stay Stay Stay playing quietly in the background. “What the fuck are you doing here? How’d you get in?” you shouted.
“Window. Came to bring this back, wasn’t expecting a concert.”
“Oh fuck off Edward,” you huffed, taking a ring out of his hand. Turning away from him and putting it with your others.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to embarrass you. I um didn’t know you liked this music.”
“Well I do, got an issue?”
“No. Just … do you actually like metal or was that just umm …”
“I like both okay? Sometimes I just want to feel like a happy, silly teenage girl. Her music helps me do that, or if I need to cry, or fall in love or anything really. I love metal, I didn’t lie!”
“Okay. I believe you. She’s cool.”
“You think?”
“Well you like her, so she must be.”
“Shut up,” you smiled.
“I’m serious. Teach me the way of Taylor Swift,” he grinned, dropping on your bed.
“Well thats 10 albums, and then there’s Taylor’s versions.”
“God you’re a proper little nerd.”
“Says the one who loves D&D,” you smacked him lightly.
“I’m not saying she’s bad! I like that one umm … Enchanted?”
“Yes! It’s her newest re-release, god I love that album and 1989s out soon as well.”
“Slow down babe, you’re losing me.”
“Sorry, so um Enchanted?” you asked, standing up, pulling the vinyl out of its case, replacing it on the record player. The song played softly. “It’s beautiful.”
“It is,” you smiled, turning back to Eddie. “Thank you for bringing my ring back, where was it?”
“My van, must have fallen off.”
“Or you stole it.”
“Me?” You nodded.
“Don’t think it’d fit Sweetheart.” The chorus played, and Eddie began to hum along, standing to be in front of you. “I like this other side of you.”
“Thought you’d make fun of me.”
“I’d never. I like all parts of you, this might be my new favourite, maybe we can see her concert.”
You snorted, “You willing to sell a couple organs?”
“For you, I do anything.” You smiled up at him softly, he nudged your nose with his.
“As Taylor said, I was Enchanted to meet you,” he smiled, leaning down to press his lips to yours.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
A/N : This was so fun to do! I just jammed out to Taylor the whole time and it was great. Thank you so much for this request I hope you enjoyed it 🤍
Thank you so much for reading! Please leave any requests 🤍

I’m a sucker for Steve learning about the party’s interests, do you have any thoughts about the kinds of things he’d do for each party member? (E.g. he has the ability to recognize tony hawk, despite his inconspicuousness, because of max’s skateboarding)
Actually now I'm obsessed with the idea that Steve is one of the few people who are not personal friends with him who is able to identify Tony Hawk without a skateboard. Like. Steve is an athlete and respects athleticism, and gives credit where it is due. (He does NOT allow making fun of Olympic athletes, even the weird sports, just because some people don't appreciate how hard you work for it.) So he's like "wow that Tony guy sure is talented. He is so high in the air. Good for him." And never forgets his face. At some point someone shares one of those "didn't recognize actual skate legend Tony Hawk " stories except it ends with "and then the guy in pastels standing beside Eddie Munson slapped his (Eddie's) chest and went "hey!! That's Tony Hawk!! Let's see if we can get an autograph for Max!" And I realized I had been making awkward small talk about cocktail weenies with sports legend Tony Hawk while working up the courage to ask Eddie Munson for an autograph."
He also tries to learn how to Ollie but he's actually really nervous and wears all the protective gear possible and is only able to go forward. (This is from my personal experience being post concussive and not a good skater. It's scary! My brain meat is delicate!) But Max tells him it's okay and talks about the skatepark in California and some of her old friends from there, and he tries to teach her how to make fried rice.(one of the only actual meals that isn't breakfast food he can cook really well completely from scratch) She gets him to do her hair with El because Steve is the only other person who understands that for El hair is a means of control, and that taking care of it is something important to that feeling.
He and El do jigsaw puzzles together and listen to folk music I think. El would appreciate having the option to talk or not, and likes listening to Steve talk too. Also I like jock El so he gets her overly invested in the Cubs like tells her all the lore and she's obsessed with the goat and she joins a softball team. When she first yells at an umpire for a bad call Steve almost cries of pride. Like. Finally. He's not the only one who Gets It.
Lucas and him bond over basketball yes. But Lucas doesn't yell at refs, and Steve gets why but thinks it's very fun when people yell at officials. Also I think they watch clouds together after practicing. Just nice peaceful, laying on warm blacktop and staring at the sky. Maybe El joins them and Lucas and El can bond this way too. Steve and his little jock siblings. (Why does no one consider max a jock for skateboarding? I guess it wasn't really seen as a sport for a long time...hm..)
Steve also bought a flat of new coke before they stopped selling it and keeps it for Lucas on movie nights or whatever and everybody always yells and groans because where is getting that!! It was discontinued!! Also they watch anime together. Erica and Robin join.
I can see him getting into some video games with Dustin and Mike and Lucas. Only the two or more player ones though he doesn't like playing alone. Like. Okay this whole post has anachronisms but please imagine him playing Lego Star Wars (complete saga) with Dustin. The chaos. The yelling.
He's absolutely a pinball guy. They go to the arcade and everyone does their thing but then end up cheering Steve on as he goes for idk star trek pinball glory. Without even tilting it! Idk what to tell you but Steve def loves pinball.
Also before his dad cut him off or after he gets some kind of inheritance he does a very financially secure impulse buy: he purchases an arcade game. Full size. I am partial to Asteroids because that's what my dad impulse bought in the 80's and had it in our basement growing up but let's keep this going he has a themed pinball machine. Icon.
He 100% reaches Dustin to drive. Mrs. Henderson asked him because Steve just looked sad when she mentioned teaching him and she was like well...we could BOTH teach him :) (because she has mentally adopted him. She told him to call her Ma and he does and Robin is like Steve. That's your mum now. And Steve's like no... Everybody calls her that. And she saysnSteve. Only Dustin. Her actual literal son. Calls her that. Guess what that makes YOU.)
Steve and whole party Lego Building Buddies? Mayhaps?
I wish tamagotchis were out in the 80's because Steve would be so diligent a Tama babysitter Erica would sell his services to her friends if they needed it lmao. He'd get all squinty and concentrated you know he'd highscore jump rope but not get the shapes game (me too buddy). Alas. Not to be.
Instead he listens to her talk about her elementary and middle school drama while looking for four leaf clovers. He also has watched MLP with her and may have teared up a little. Also, of course, she is his one true Game Master. Sorry Eddie
Mike is harder...maybe they bond over making snarky comments about people in movies, and then talk about how actually is car racing a sport? And it'd be sort of awkward because Mike has Nancy as an older sibling (even if they don't get along) and he's holding on to animosity that's pointless now. Plus Dustin and Lucas both seem to see Steve as a big brother and friend figure, but like. It's a bit weird for Mike. But still, Mike knows if he bikes to Steve's at two am he'll be hauled in and forced to sit down and asked if he wants a hug and hot chocolate.
Same with will, except Will has Jonathan (El does to but it's different) so at first they're sorta🧍🧍 staring at each other. Steve has to be like sooooo wanna. Tell me about Wizards? Or something? Cool...rocks? And Will would realize that this guy's just, y'know. A guy. Probably similar to Mike except he's not begrudging about it.
I guess a lot of Steve and the party is him listening to them and letting them actually be silly and kids, making snarky comments about the highschool dramas happening, and encouraging them to try different things (he did!) And figure out what they like outside of what they think the rest of the party likes.

Welcome to my Nightmare - Chapter One
Tumblr media
Next Chapter
Want to see more of my work? Here's a Master List.
Summary:  Y/F/N Y/L/N is dragged to a show by their best friend on Halloween night. One of the bands performing is the newly reestablished Corroded Coffin with a “new, improved, and exonerated” Eddie Munson. No one can resist Eddie’s siren song, not that your long standing crush on him would make any difference. But he has clearly changed since being accused being a murderous cult leader. Will the change make any difference or will you become bolder in your pursuit?
Pairing: Vampire!Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader, Minor Steve Herrington x Fem!OC
WARNING (DNI if you're under 18. Them's the rules:) Everyone is over 18, Cursing, light shoving between friend, teasing, mention of Steve's chest hair, past bullying mentioned.
a/n: The was suppose to be a one-shot, but this first part alone was 7 pages long...good to know I'm still an overachiever. The first part is pretty tame.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usually you would be happy over the idea of having a long weekend, especially since this one just so happens to fall on Halloween. But this was Hawkins, Indiana. This town could never make up its mind whether to be the Center of Hell and Depravity, or as boring as ever other town in the Midwest. It didn’t help that your home was recently rocked with scandals about demons, earthquakes, and evil cults masquerading as an afterschool club. Oh! And did we mention that you have a major crush on their leader?                       Eddie “the Freak” Munson had been living rent free in your head since middle school. It all started when Jason Carver stole your copy of Salem’s Lot while you were sitting out on PE. You got the book as a get well gift from your best friend after breaking your leg on the trampoline. Jason had chucked it over the fence, landing page side down into a puddle. Since you still had the cast on you couldn’t get the book back. But Eddie saw everything and hopped the fence for you…and then broke Jason’s nose with a solid sucker punch.                        Chivalry wasn’t dead; it just comes in the form you least expect. In this case it was Munson and his shaved head and a mouth full of braces. You bonded over your love of horror, music, and all things nerdy. You even helped form the Hellfire Club along with him and your equally lovable best friend Faye Burgun.
“Hello?! Earth to y/n!”
Speaking of Faye; you snapped back to reality after a particularly hard jab in the ribs from her.
“Ow! What the fuck Faye?!” you snapped back at the tiny red head.
“Were you even listening to me? Look, I get that the last few months have been a choice, but we’re out of the woods now. It’s time to party!” She did a little dance while you were getting things out of your locker. Faye did a little spin as she swung open her over stuffed locker, cassette tapes and drawing of future costumes threatening to spill out. “Besides its Halloween!” she chirped before doing a power stance “This is the day you and I are at our strongest!”
The only other people you know who loved all things kooky, spooky, and weird other than Eddie was Faye Burgun, or “Burgie” as you liked to call her. You’ve been best friends since Pre-K when she moved out from the East Coast, and she was the one who got you into horror to begin with. Whenever she wasn’t doodling in the margins of her notebook or ranting about the latest movie, Faye was coming up with ideas for costumes and improving her skills as a makeup artist. She always insisted she was going to be “the Next Tom Savini.”
“Are you sure this is when I’m at my strongest? ‘Cuz right now I’m at my sleepiest. I don’t get how Ms. O’Donnell could possibly make a book as great as A Wrinkle in Time so boring.”
“That’s because she was created by US Government? They used their machines to pull her out of a Peanuts cartoon.” Faye smirked “How else are we going to defeat the Russians?” while making the same sound the adults do in the show. You couldn’t help but laugh. You could be feeling the lowest of the low and Faye would know how to pull you back out.
“As I was saying, there’s a show going on at this wicked cool night club outside of town. It’s Halloween themed obviously and admission is half price if you dress up. Soooooo…” says Faye slamming her locker closed “We’re going, right?”
You let out an exhausted sigh “Wrong.”
“Wrong?! What the hell do you mean ‘wrong’?!”
“Just what I said, wrong” you shut your locker with a clunk and walked away.
Faye ran after you as fast as her 5’1” frame would let her, the chains on her pants jiggling like a certain cartoon fairy “No no no Y/N! Not wrong! You’re coming with me!”
“I can’t, Faye. My parents need me to stay back and keep an eye on the house while they are on vacation. The last thing they want is to come home from their trip to Montreal with a repeat of the Halloween of 83’.”
“You cleaned up all the toilet paper and eggs. I should know, I was there” Faye replies breathlessly, finally catching up to you.
You snort “I’m pretty sure half of that mess was yours.”
“One-fourth of that was possibly mine.”
“Whatever, Burgun.”
Faye manages to stand in front of you before reaching the exit, her tiny arms stretched out as far as they can go and let out a loud “No.”
“Y/N Y/L/N This is the last time we can celebrate Halloween before we graduate; before I leave for California! This..” She stops midsentence when you try to move past her, still managing to block the exit. “This is our last hurrah before we leave this dumpster fire of a town and make it big!”
You try to get around Faye again. It failed. “Please Y/n! I know shit has been rough with Hawkins blowing up for the seventh time in, what, four years?”
You try to dodge again, critical fail.
“And a bunch the class dying, in jail, or locked up at Penthurst Hospital…” Faye was counting each bat-shit insane thing that happened in the last six months alone on her fingers. “But this is our time, our moment to finally let loose; get to be kids again.”
You finally managed to break past your tiny punk friend, but now have to struggle to find the keys for your bike. “And I can’t risk my mom making me take a gap year after graduation because I picked a dumb show over keeping the house from burning down.” At first Faye looks totally defeated, but then a flicker of light flashes across her eyes and her lips curl into a Cheshire grin.
“Corroded Coffin is gonna be there,” she smiles.
Your head snaps back with such force that you accidently throw your keys at Faye, eyes growing wide. “Excuse me, what did you say?” Faye’s smile gets even bigger and she slowly repeats what she just said, clapping between each word.
“Corroded Coffin is going to be there! You get to see your husband, Mrs. Munson!”
You laugh, but the idea of being married to Eddie has been a long time dream of yours, “I have as much of a chance with Eddie Munson as you do with Steve Herrington.”
Faye grips her chest like she was shot. “Ouch! You didn’t need to dig that hard. It’s not my fault that’s fine as Hell.” She let out a dreamy sigh and stared off into space “I’d give up my autographed copy of Video-drone to run my fingers through Steve’s chest hair.”
You walk over, letting out an audible gagging sounds, and pick up your keys, “Wait, isn’t he in jail?” you ask “You know…for killing Jason’s ex?”
Faye shakes her head “Nope!”
“Nope?” you say stunned.
“Yup!  All charges were dropped after the DA got a hold of the files and realized with was a bunch of bullshit.” Faye finally decided to not be a human road block and was leaning against a pillar. For the first time in what feels like years you finally feel there is hope again.
He’s free. Eddie is finally free to just exist!
“Yes!!” you start bouncing up and down all giddy “That means Hellfire can get back together! I could-, “ you let out a loud gasp “that means he can graduate with us!”
Faye was digging through her own bag trying to find her car keys, just as excited as you. “That means you can finally tell him your feelings and get to making me a grandma.”
You start fidgeting with your Hellfire keychain Dustin Henderson made you last Christmas. You’ve wanted to tell Eddie your feeling for him for so long; you were planning on telling him when you all had graduated. One less thing on your plates, you know? But between him getting held back and the possibility of him being a serial killer, it would have been best to never bring it up at all. You feel Faye’s hands grip your face and you stop spinning.
“Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N this is your last chance to tell that dipshit how you feel! Your last chance! We almost lost Eddie for good, if not from being in jail then worse.” You hid your gaze. Yeah Faye Burgun was a goober that didn’t learnt to tie her shoes until she was sixteen, but when she said she was serious about something, she meant it.
Before you could answer her Faye pressed a pale finger to your mouth “Before you say anything, yes I know I’m right. The question now is are you going to tell Eddie Munson – the Eddie Munson – that you’re totally bonkers for him? That you’re coo-coo banana toots in love with him?”
You let out a frustrated groan and bat your best friend’s hands away from you to cup your own face “I know you’re right! Jesus Fucking Christ on a motorbike!” You take a deep breath and compose yourself.
It’s now or never, Y/n.
You look up at your best friend with the biggest grin you can muster:
“I’m going!”
Faye launches herself into your arms for a giant hug. You both run off, arms linked together like you were six-years-old again about to cause some mayhem on the playground. Faye pulled found her keys in the pocket of her battle vest.
But you stop, causing Faye to trip over her two feet “Wait! What about my bike?”
The red head steals your keys, unlocks your bike, and runs to her car carrying the bike over her head “We’re not going to Zombie Todd’s House of Sin on a fucking bicycle, Y/L/N!”

Stranger Things OCs
Oc Count: 8
Name: Kayla Gwyneth Nelson
Birthday: October 11, 1971
Likes: Music, both horror movies and chick flicks, dream catchers, playing piano, beaches
Dislikes: Country music, being cold, sad movies, nail polish scent, astrology
Personality: Musical, loyal, delicate, compassionate, determined
Ship: Will Byers
Extra info:
Kayla had also been taken to the upside down long before Will was and she comforted him while there. Once Hopper and Joyce got to Will he begged for them to take her as well because she was getting far too sick. After being released from the hospital she went to live with Hopper (and later Eleven). The next few seasons are her trying to deal with normal life while fighting off demogorgons etc. but goes to live with another family after Hopper is "killed"
Tumblr media
Name: Daisy Mae Penelope Thrum
Birthday: December 3, 1971
Likes: Her records, Christmas, shopping, sleepovers, sour candy
Dislikes: Rom-coms, snoring, disloyalty, heels, hot days
Personality: Affectionate, charming, honest, introverted extrovert, intelligent
Ship: Dustin Henderson
Extra info:
Her mother loved the movie "Lil' Abner" (1959) growing up and that's where her name (Daisy Mae) comes from (she has an older sister named Appassionata after the movie as well)
Plot twist: Daisy was a test subject of Dr. Brenner’s when she was much younger, being named number 13. Despite being just a toddler (no older than two), she showed signs of shielding. Shielding can be used in the mental or physical sense; she can create a barrier around herself and/or other people so they’re safe from danger but she can also shield her mind from any control
Dr. Brenner was worried that she would become too powerful to be affected by the other children’s control. He was ready to kill her but that night someone took her away under the guard’s noses and left her on a random doorstep with a note about her powers. The woman who found her, Jacqueline Thrum, took her in and Daisy Mae now had a new name and an actual family
Since she was so young at the time, it was easy for her to forget or simply repress Dr. Brenner and the lab until she finally meets Eleven, who had heard of her lucky escape from before escaping herself
Tumblr media
Name: Ella Ingrid Warner
Birthday: July 16, 1985
Likes: Museums, mythology of any kind, trying new things/places, video games
Dislikes: Pizza, horror games, crowded spaces, being alone
Personality: Laid back, intuitive, sensitive, caring, gentle
Ship: Steve Harrington
Extra info:
Ella is what people consider to be a background character at first like she was friends with Nancy and Barb (rip Barb) and was the only one who had seen Barb get taken to the upside down (but no one believed what she'd say) but Johnathan had obvi taken the picture and they bonded over that. She and Johnathan were just about to get together when Nancy got close to him so she kinda just became a loner. She also worked at the movie theater that Steve and co. had vandalized in s1 and her and Steve officially met when he went to redeem himself (she was the one scrubbing at it when he showed up instead of the guy) and they got close and yeah
Tumblr media
Name: Misty Lavender Hawthorne
Birthday: April 13, 1968
Likes: Drive-ins, cherry candy, painting, upcycling, sunshine
Dislikes: Drugs, mean people, arguing, being cold, nonfiction books
Personality: Friendly, artistic, patient, logical, witty
Ship: Eddie Munson
Extra info:
Misty is a senior at Hawkins and met Eddie when a jock knocked his campaign stuff out of his hands. She picked it up then helped him take it all to the room he’d be playing DND later
On the popular hierarchy scale, she’s in that weird place that’s right in the middle of popular and unpopular. Like, she’s not best friends with the popular crowd but they like her enough to not mess with her. It’s the same with the unpopular kids
She’s just naturally friendly to everyone so no one has a grudge against her
Tumblr media
Name: Jenna Aubrey Wilson
Birthday: January 28, 1967
Likes: Popcorn, volleyball, cartoons, tattoos, bubblegum
Dislikes: Most alcohol, clowns, math, drama, neon colors
Personality: Kind-hearted, charming, athletic, smart, people pleaser
Ship: Billy Hargrove
Extra info:
It’s a miracle!!! Billy is not dead :) !!!!!!
I don’t know if Jenna and Billy could be considered polar opposites, but it could be said that their friend groups wouldn’t normally mesh together
And yet, somehow, they got together
Not to be cliche but Jenna was the one to make Billy stop his playboy ways
Tumblr media
Name: Wendy Olivia Thimble
Birthday: November 23, 1968
Likes: Writing, fresh air, physical touch, Queen, fun clothes
Dislikes: Sad endings, gossip, chalk, hot days, bugs
Personality: Optimistic, charming, polite, caring, easygoing
Ship: Robin Buckley
Extra info:
So Wendy is openly bisexual
But she also understands why Robin isn’t out yet so she keeps her PDA under wraps until they’re alone/with friends
She’s also similar to Misty in which she’s pretty well liked by a lot of people but it’s different because she pretty much tried her hand at every extracurricular and made friends that way
Tumblr media
Name: Judith Carli Horowitz
Birthday: June 12, 1945
Likes: Art/painting, music (all kinds), horror movies, comfy sweaters, her nephews (and niece)
Dislikes: Bullies, classic books, long nails, planes, dolls
Personality: Artistic, intelligent, reliable, caring, easy-going
Ship: Dmitri “Enzo” Antonov
Extra info:
Judith is Joyce’s younger sister, and is a huge part of Joyce’s (and by extension, the kids’) life
She’s a professional artist, usually specializing in painting weddings or art pieces for the history museum Ella works at but she dabbles in other things. She’s actually the reason Jonathan developed an interest in photography
She’s aware of everything going on in Hawkins because she’d been introduced to Alexei since she knew Russian (she studied abroad for a year). And that’s how she met Dmitri, after Joyce broke Hopper out of prison with Murray (and Dmitri and Yuri)
Tumblr media
Name: Ruby Amelia Briar
Birthday: March 21, 1969
Likes: Art, blanket forts, beaches, popcorn, relaxing
Dislikes: Bullies, perfection, history, clay, yelling
Personality: Artistic, dorky, reliable, funny, witty
Ship: Gareth Emerson

Pulp Fiction (1994); AFI #94
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most recent movie for review was the Quentin Tarantino crime thriller comedy (probably more things) Pulp Fiction (1994). It is a very complicated story that is told out of chronological order and focuses on scenes of meaningful character interaction. This confusion meant it lost out to movies with a more straight forward time line at the Oscars, since the move was nominated for seven awards but only took home one. The single win for best screenplay was well deserved and I still believe it is one of the most creatively written films of all time. I want to go over the plot to show what I mean, but let me do my standard due diligence:
SPOILER WARNING!!! I AM ABOUT TO GIVE THE BASIC DETAILS OF ONE OF THE MOST COMPLEX STORY LINES IN MOVIE HISTORY!!! IT WILL NOT LIKELY SPOIL MUCH OF ANYTHING, BUT I AM STICKING THIS WARNING ON JUST IN CASE SOMEBODY FINDS SOMETHING!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The film begins with what is pretty much a prologue but what turns out to be about the middle of the film chronologically. A couple is at a diner and they are talking about robbing banks. They only refer to each other as Pumpkin (Tim Roth) and Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer). They discuss the best kind of places to rob and they decide that a diner would be a good change of pace. Impulsively, they pull out guns and hold up the diner and...title card with awesome spaghetti western music!
Two hitmen are talking about Europe as they go to do a job. Vincent Vega (Jon Travolta) talks about his adventures with Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) as they pull up at an Los Angeles apartment complex. The two discuss their boss Marsellus Wallace and how touchy he is about his wife. The boss has apparently sent them to get something from a bunch of guys. Jules and Vincent call on an apartment with 3 college age men and intimidate them into giving over a briefcase with something glowing inside. The case is what they came for, so the hitmen take it and kill two of the men at the apartment...
Flash to a new scene in which Vincent is going to get some drugs from his dealer (Eric Stoltz). Vincent is a heroine user despite cocaine being the popular drug. It turns out Vincent was asked by his boss to take out his wife...the one he is very protective of. He just needs to hang out with her so she is not bored and not get into trouble. To accomplish this, he shoots up some heroine and goes to meet the wife named Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman). They seem to get along and he drives her to a restaurant called Jack Rabbit Slims. The place is fantastic, all the waiters are dressed up like American movie icons and the booths are repurposed cars from the 50s (if this place actually existed, you can be sure I would search it out and go there at least once). The two bond over dinner and then volunteer for a twist dance contest.
Mia and Vincent go back to her house and Vincent goes to the restroom to talk himself out of trying to score with Mia. She is pretty cool, but not worth dying for. While he is away, Mia finds some heroine in the pocket of Vincent’s jacket and thinks it is cocaine. She snorts it and immediately starts to overdose. Vincent panics and decides to drive her to the dealer’s house. The dealer has a nurse kit that comes with a giant needle full of adrenaline which Vincent stabs her with. She wakes up and Vincent takes her back home and is glad that he will live another day...
We jump to a flashback of a young boy who is has lost his father in Vietnam. An officer is visiting that has a gift. Apparently, there is a family watch that belonged to the boys great grandfather and had been passed down through the generations. His father had it when he was captured and gave it to the officer before the father died in the POW camp. The officer escaped and found the boy to give him the watch...
A boxer named Butch (Bruce Willis) wakes up from a dream. He is the boy all grown up. He is about to throw a fight for Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), the same boss that everyone is afraid of. Butch does not throw the fight and accidently kills the other boxer. It turns out that he bet on himself and now he needs to get out of town before Marsellus Wallace catches him. He goes to a hotel where his rather dumb girlfriend is waiting for him. They go to bed and then are about to leave the next morning when it turns out that she forgot his watch. Butch freaks out and goes back to their old apartment to get the watch (note the very long take following Bruce Willis as he takes a back way to get to the apartment). Vincent is there waiting for him, but Vincent is in the bathroom and Butch is able to get a gun and kill Vincent as he is coming out of the bathroom. Things seem good so Butch drives off...
As Butch drives home, he sees Marsellus crossing the street in front of him so Butch hits the gas and runs down the boss but also hits an oncoming car. Both men are injured but Marsellus gains his senses and chases Butch into a shop where both are captured by a weird redneck with a shotgun. Butch and Marsellus are tied up in the basement of the shop and a man named Zed shows up. The shop owner has a gimp in a box (all leathered up and everything) and other fetish things downstairs. After a quick game to pick who goes first, they take Marcellus into another room to rape him. Butch manages to escape and is running away...but he decides can’t leave somebody to be assaulted like that. He grabs a weapon from the shop and kills the shop owner and frees Marsellus from Zed. Marsellus is not happy and says he will go “medieval” on Zed and allows Butch to leave town. Butch collects his girlfriend and leaves immediately...
Flash back in time (we know this because Vincent is alive) to right after Vincent and Jules shoot the guys with the case. Another guy in the other room jumps out and unloads six rounds at the two and misses every shot. The hitman kill that man, but Jules is shaken and decides to give up the business. They take a fourth gut with them in the car to go back to see Marsellus. On the drive over, Vincent accidently shoots the passenger while going over a pothole. The inside of the car is absolutely covered in blood and brains, so the two have to find a safe house. They go to the home of Jimmie (Quentin Tarantino) who will help them but says they have to get out in a couple of hours before his wife gets home. They call Marsellus, who sends over a cleaner named Wolf (Harvey Keitel). They are able to get everything cleaned up in time and leave with the car and the body. Jules and Vincent have to change out of their bloody clothes and decide to take a cab out to a diner for some food before seeing Wallace.
The two are at a familiar looking diner discussing whether their survival was a miracle and whether Jules should quit. Vincent goes off to the bathroom and, while he is gone, Pumpkin and Honey Bunny from the beginning declare it a robbery and it is evident that we have circled in time back around to the beginning. The couple hold up the diner, but, when they get to Jules, he takes Pumpkin hostage and devises a plan for everybody to leave. Jules allows the couple to leave alive with all the wallets, then the two hitmen follow quickly behind them before any police can show up.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I put a spoiler warning at the top, but there is so much to this film that there is no way you could spoil everything. I find new things to enjoy about this movie each time that I watch it and the watch count has to be at least two dozen times at this point. This film is so rich with allusion and homage to movies of the past that you might never see everything. Tarantino is truly a lover of old films and he worked every reference he could into this film. This is truly like candy for a cinephile.
I have, however, had a love hate relationship with this movie: I love this movie and I hate it when people tell me it is too violent. There was a lot of negative response to the films toxic masculinity, romancing crime culture, incredible amount of swearing, drug use, extreme gun violence, and very adult themes. There is a very famous interview between Quentin Tarantino and Jan Wahl in which she accuses him of using excessive violence and he tells her it is because it is a lot of fun to watch. His stylistically gory violence stems from exploitation films of the past and there is an established audience that enjoys it. He makes his movies for himself and this group of people.
Kind of like the comedy of Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, and George Carlin, you have to wade through a sea of swearing to find the comedic banter. The things that Jules and Vincent say to each other are some of the funniest stuff I have ever heard, but you really have to pay attention. Their attempts to express their feelings while maintaining their hard exterior persona is ridiculous. This is probably why many people enjoy the scenes with Vincent and Mia: there is a lot more courtesy which reduces the tirade of cursing.
The violence is very very over the top, but it is no where near the level of gore that Tarantino has become known for over the years. I must admit that he likes his torture scenes and this film is no exception. I would like to note how clever the torture scene with Butch and Marsellus is because they are both tied up and facing camera so only the audience can see the mischief that is being prepared behind them.
The soundtrack for the film is well worth mentioning as it also pays homage to 50s, 60s, and 70s exploitations films. There is a lot of silence in the film with sudden bursts of fast paced music that help with transitions. Most famous is the intro music after diner prologue, a surf rock classic by Dick Dale and The Del Tones called Misirlou. It is pure speed guitar riff along the lines of Wipeout and transitions the scene perfectly. Take a listen for yourself:

Maybe the biggest thing about this film and Tarantino in general is the inspiration of the slick gangster dialogue. There had been a push for more melodramatic dialogue or the complete absence of much talking. Tarantino added in this slick, fast moving comedic dialogue that is said over extreme violence and adult situations. Marsellus Wallace talks about having some crack heads torture a man to death immediately after being raped in a basement. The hitmen talk about appropriate manners while cleaning out brains from the back of a car. Jules talks about the meaning of the bible during a robbery. Everything seems out of place in the real world but perfectly acceptable in Tarantino’s world. This is probably why I have no problem with the violence in the film.
So should this film be on the AFI top 100? Absolutely. It is an homage to film history while simultaneously introducing a sub genre that mixes current dialogue and exploitation touches to grindhouse action. It is fascinating and fun. Would I recommend this movie? If you are old enough. I can’t emphasize enough how fun I find this film, but I cannot deny that it is filled with adult situations like drug usage followed by driving, secret dungeon rape, and cold blooded murder with no consequences. If you can differentiate between Tarantino’s world and the real world, then this is great. If you can’t, then maybe try something else with slick dialogue like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

hcs for richie and bevs friendship
FUCK YEAH
so they didn’t get along at first because Richie was a DICK when he was 12
Richie apologized for ever making fun of Bev, and she told him not to worry about it
They bonded over their love for music, and Richie started sharing his vinyl collection with her (Which is a High Honour from richie, who cared for all his vinyls like they were his children)
They hung out a lot at Charlie’s Records and Chuck’s LaughHaus (ask me about THOSE apples ;))
when Bev came over for the summer in 1992, she spent her nights in Richie’s basement, sleeping on the pullout couch. She thought it was awesome.
during that summer, when it rained or everyone else was busy, Richie and Bev sat in the basement, talking and listening to music.
Bev would practice putting on nail polish and try out colours on Richie’s fingers. She always, always told him how nice his fingernails are, and Richie would always reply with “That’s weird.”
Richie preformed his gigs (Both music + comedy) in front of Stan and Bev first because he trusted them to be honest with him
Richie is the only one Bev is comfortable taking her shirt off in front of. No one knows why. Not even Richie. Least of all Bev.
Sometimes Richie will call her “Bevver-baby” or “Bev-by”
she calls him “Dickzer” and “Records”
When their older, and Bev figures out his professional name is “Richie J. ‘Records’ Tozier she gives him a look and he just shrugs and says “It stuck.”
They go out drinking together sometimes. Richie pays almost everytime and Bev pays for the taxi ride home.
“Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch” “Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch”
they watch disney movies together in theaters.
Bev constantly goes all Queer Eye on Richie’s sloppy bi ass
They go to pride together!!! The following year the whole group goes but Bev and Richie are Pride Seniors
They gush about their bfs ALL the time
“NGL Ben went from haystack to Hey, jacked.” “he did.”
“Eddie has a nice ass butt.” “nice ass butt?” “….yes.”
they have a running contest of who can pick each other up from the airport with the most embarrassing /weird/suspicious sign. Richie is winning with “Welcome back from Prison! The munchkin missed you!” with a photo of a baby.

The Ninja Turtles and the Louds (TMNT/TLH Crossover) - Summary and Ideas
Hello everyone, this is gemturtle here saying that what I'm planning to do here is a TMNT and Loud House crossover series called "The Ninja Turtles and the Louds". Here's the summary:
In this AU, the Loud Family have moved over from Michigan to New York about 3 months ago. Lincoln Loud, who is the only boy in a family of 10 sisters, is feeling very stressed and uneasy about his new life in Manhattan and having new friends like Clyde and April. But one day while being chased by purple dragons, he was saved by 4 weird strangers who turn out to be 4 giant talking mutated turtles who can do ninjitsu! With these new friends/brothers, Lincoln, his sisters, April and the turtles will embark on living with the difficulties of normal life and going on numerous adventures and battling against ninja, mutant, alien, and mystical threats, all while remembering the importance of family. This is a crossover series that shows the bonding between 2 unusual families.
Major TMNT Characters: Leo, Mikey, Donnie, Raph, April, Casey, Hamato Yoshi/Splinter, Shredder, Irma, Karai, Kimiko, Ice Cream Kitty, Tiger Claw, Hun, Leatherhead, Old Hob, Krang, Eric Sacks, Bebop, Rocksteady, etc.
Major TLH Characters: Lincoln, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, Lily, Clyde, Lynn Sr., Rita, Howard, Harold, Bobby, Ronnie Anne, Mr. Grouse, Agnes Johnson, etc.
Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Martial Arts, Coming-of-Age, Slice of Life, Friendship, Family.
Rating: T (For drama, dark violence, blood, etc.)
Pairings: Leo/Karai, Lincoln/Ronnie Anne, Lori/Bobby, Splinter/Tang Shen, Lucy/Rocky, Rita/Lynn Sr., Howard/Harold, onesided Lori/Clyde, onesided Lincoln/April etc.
Author's Notes:
- The idea to make this crossover series was influenced by MiniJen's Universe Falls story, which is a crossover series between Gravity Falls and Steven Universe. Just like her story, it also takes place in another universe where the 2 series co-exist with one another. I first thought of this idea when I saw the LH episode "One of the Boys" (Hated that episode btw) where the oldest brothers had the voices of the turtles and plus, they all love PIZZA! So I thought to myself, what if Lincoln and his sisters actually met the turtles? At first I wanted to be a simple one-time crossover, but I just wanted them to interact as much as possible and see how well they work off one another. I could picture Lincoln seeing the turtles as the coolest "brothers" with them being pretty much like superheroes, and they would most likely have the same interest (Reading comics, playing video games, watching cartoons, etc.), and I also picture the Loud sisters being jealous of the turtles for spending a lot of time with their only brother. But the more the sisters spend time with the turtles, the more they see that they're not so different. I want to see the Loud Siblings trying help out on the turtles' adventures in fighting evil while interacting with each other in various 'slice of life' situations, which it's a hard thing for the turtles since they have to remain in the shadows. So I thought about doing something similar to Universe Falls and came up with this idea. Plus they're both properties of NICKELODEON, so it's possible we might actually see a crossover with these 2 someday. But for now, I would like to create this series.
- I figured what's going o be different from this series between TMNT and the Loud House is that instead of Royal Woods in Michigan, the LH characters will all live in New York since it is a important setting for the TMNT characters.
- Just like Universe Falls, this series will be divided into arcs with about 10-12 stories each instead of being 26 episodes each per season like TMNT. I plan to adapt some stories from the Loud House into my series and actually re-write them so that way they would have more of an accurate continuity unlike the actual show and hope not to add so much "Lincoln Torture" since I want to make this less mean-spirited and more genuine, I also plan to reduce the amount of toilet-humor (I mostly dislike that trope). So there will be some I won't do that I mostly dislike (Such as Making the Case, The Green House, Brawl in the Family, No Such Luck, etc.). As for the TMNT side of things, what will be very interesting about this crossover I won't be using any previous TMNT incarnations (Mirage, 1987, 2003, 2012, etc.) but to make it a brand new incarnation, so I can create my own version of the TMNT characters to interact with TLH characters. Now I don't know how many arcs will be created, it all depends on how long the TLH show can go or how many TMNT stories I can adapt.
- I have a lot of ideas I want to use and some that I'm not sure of; for one, I asked a DeviantArt user LeaderinBlue84 if I could borrow some of his TMNT ideas to use for this series.
- Leo in this series will be more influenced by his 2012 counterpart, but he is also an extreme anime lover, mostly listens to classic music, creates fan art with his username LeaderInBlue84. He would kinda be like the "Star-Lord" of the TMNT series, so he and Luna would get along well. Also, he will also have a wonderful bromance with Lincoln, as he would likely look up to Leo as his personal hero and a genuine role model and Leo would look up to him for never giving up for a child his age.
- Mikey is also the same goofball prankster we all know and love, and will be the most open-minded character in the series. He would give names to new mutants and bad guys and collect stickers to put on his shell.
- Raph will be the same sarcastic hot-headed bad ass he's always been, but he does have a soft and friendlier side for Lincoln and April.
- Donnie would be the lovable nerd with a big brain. For him, I figured he would be a little smarter than Lisa but would more of a nervous wreck and a clean freak like Double D from Ed, Edd, n Eddy. I also think would could also have gynophobia (Fear of females) from a traumatic experience. While he will be used to April, it would give him a hard time with Lincoln's sisters.
- April would be a teenager like her 2012 counterpart as well, she will be at the age of 15. Unlike meeting them like in previous incarnations she would have met the turtles at the age of 10 and is an orphan girl that is taken in by Splinter. She would also have developed some training as a kunoichi. She would also have a pretty developed busty chest for her age amking her socially insecure and making some of the Loud sisters jealous, but she would still be friends with them. And instead of Cristina, I was thinking Lincoln would have a unrequited crush on April for the first few episodes, until he hooks up with Ronnie Anne.
- Casey for the beginning of the series will be a juvenile delinquent and working for the Purple Dragons like Danny from the 1990 movie, but will soon quit and become a vigilante against them.
- I'm still wondering whether to make Splinter Yoshi who was mutated into a rat or have Yoshi and his sons be reincarnated into turtles and a rat like in the IDW comics, as well as Shredder's origin. Splinter will also not just bring wisdom to the turtles, but also to Lincoln and his sisters.
- There will be some street violence, blood, and intense battles in this crossover.
- And just like most of the fandom, I hope to actually make Luna and Leni be Lincoln's closest sisters being more of motherly figures to him so it is said that they have the closest relationship.
- As the romance for this series will go, I really don't mind Anthro/Human relationships like Leo/Karai. As long as the relationship is developed like Goliath/Elisa from Gargoyles. I want to try taking a crack at having Raph/April in this series, and I figure that maybe she and Casey would date only for a while. I was also thinking of one of the turtles hook up with one of the Loud sisters, I won't say who but it might be the most ironic relationship.
- I will also have some loud siblings to have a close relationship with each turtle: Leonardo (Lincoln, Lori, Luna), Michelangelo (Luan, Lana, and Lily), Donatello (Leni and Lisa), and Raphael (Lynn, Lucy, and Lola).
- I was also thinking of having Lincoln and April keeping the turtles a secret from his sisters until the end of the first arc and the parents wouldn't find out until the second.
- I figured Lincoln would be trained by Splinter to become a ninja, and MAYBE some of his sisters, specifically Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, and Lucy.
- Like I said before, there will be some stories I will adapt from TMNT; like I plan to do the Search for Splinter arc but differently. Instead, April and the turtles will live with the Louds until they find Splinter.
- I also want to do multiple crossovers in the future as well; such as Ghostbusters, Batman, Usagi Yojimbo, etc.
So that's basically it. What are your thoughts on this? Think this might be a good idea? How do you think the Loud siblings will react to meeting the turtles? How will they're interactions be? What TMNT characters would you like to see in this crossover? Could you see Splinter giving the Louds wisdom? How will Rita and Lynn Sr. react to the turtles? What kind of stories would you like to see? Let me know in the reviews.
