I think the Fnaf movie (and all the sequels it will inevitably get) is a great way to see what Scott views as the most important aspect of each character in the series.
Spoilers below.
Obviously, Mike and Vanessa are both very different here than in the games. Mike is (PROBABLY) no longer an Afton, Vanessa is definitely an Afton, Mike isn’t going by an alias, Vanessa is a victim of abuse rather than possession, etc.
In some regard, they almost feel like completely different characters (especially Mike). So with that in mind, when we look at the traits that these characters do share with their game counterparts, we can boil these characters down to their fundamentals (or at least what Scott views as their fundamentals)
Mike is riddled with guilt over the death of his brother, which he feels like he should have been able to prevent. Even well into his adulthood, long after the deed is done, he is still trying to fix what he perceives as blood on his hands, whether that is the case or not. This guilt often manifests as vivid dreams.
Vanessa is William’s reluctant follower. She has been manipulated into supporting him, even though she knows deep down how wrong her actions are for helping him. To aid him in his exploits, she takes up a career in a position of authority that lets her inconspicuously hang out around Freddy’s.
On a personal note, I think it’s interesting that these are the traits that Scott chose to emphasize between the two characters. While Mike’s relationship with his brother is definitely a strong part of what makes his character interesting, I’d argue that it is better executed in the games because there, he actually did cause his brother’s death and has reason to feel guilty over it. I also think that Michael’s dynamic with William is just as important as his relationship with Evan/Garrett/the Crying Child—William is Michael’s shadow archetype, he represents the absolute worst of what Michael could be. The movie completely lacks this dynamic, which makes their beef feel less personal despite the fact that William did kill Michael’s brother in this timeline (though I’d argue that that’s more the fault of the fact that William only has THREE SCENES in the movie total)
Movie Vanessa fares better, but mostly because she absorbs a lot of Michael’s role from the games by virtue of being an Afton child that lived past adolescence. I personally prefer her role as William’s successor rather than as a reluctant follower; copycat killers are a staple of the horror genre, and we are severely lacking in batshit crazy, irredeemable female villains in both movies and video games. That’s more what I was hoping Vanny would end up being in Security Breach, but I also acknowledge that that’s 100% just me projecting.
Unlike the two protagonists, though, William stays mostly the same between the movie, the games, and the books. I think it’s interesting that they chose to continue the trend of giving him an alias to hide under, while his real name is something of a dirty word because of everything he did. We notably don’t have proof that he did this in the games, and it’s got me thinking. Is there a named character mentioned somewhere in the games that’s actually just William under a fake name?
Who knows. Get speculating!

◆↬ jaide e. stone ; profile↫◆
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ pre i/ii - rgb arc - aged 0-18] (may change)
◆↬ jaide is a self-taught aprijuice merchant. she started when she was quite young - she liked to collect apricorns with her teddiursa and was quite fond of roller-skating to maximize the apriblender's juicing proficiency.
◆↬ she picked up on this trade when her mother introduced this concept to her which was still new at the time, and enjoyed this as a hobby before turning it into a profession
◆↬her childhood companions consisted of; teddiursa, hoppip, and ralts (all evolved as years go by). she is strictly not a trainer, but has practiced basic pokemon battle conduct
◆↬ jaide is an older sister to a sibling named gold, with an age gap of 8 years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
◆↬as kids, they were an interesting duo. while they were quite the tough kids, they have their own styles in projecting it (his actions / her words). gold took an interest in skateboarding to copy her roller-skating tendencies
◆↬she wasn't exactly the same as her adult counterpart. she was a little rough around the edges and sometimes played hard with her words. she isn't the type to fight, but she knew how to get around people older than her and she was rarely afraid. she was fast, charismatic and somewhat smug
◆↬ jaide was gifted with an interesting skill to be able to read other pokemon's natures, almost psychic-like thanks to her kirlia who was able to steer her guesses in the right path. this would later be very useful when aprijuice would be popular in the pokeathalon games in allowing pokemon improve their performance in the multitude of sports*
*(this is aligned with the game mechanic where several drinks have different results with consideration on the nature of the pokemon drinking it and flavor of the drink)
◆↬most people buy her drinks because it actually refreshes the pokemon - but what customers don't know is the underlying magic it does when you mix the right flavor with the right nature/personality of pokemon. that's what fascinates her the most. this can only be achieved because of her good perception of pokemon natures.
◆↬jaide wanted to make it a point that her aprijuice business would expand beyond johto - her personal reason being to introduce the beauty of it. she sees aprijuice production as an intricate way to create natural beverages (and not artificial) for pokemon. (which admittedly, is a commonplace in johto. i.e: kurt and his pokeball production)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ gsc - oras arc - aged 19-25+ ] (most present frame)
◆↬jaide becomes more mild and calm in her personality due to maturity and events that occured in gsc, though she still retained the cheeky personality but it would be more sly and vague. and being a mom. of course /lh
◆↬meeting steven was definitely a curveball thrown at her direction because he's one of the rare people who can see through her cheeky facade. it's common for them to have interesting back and fourth that either sounded smart or really flirty. only they know really.
◆↬after officially being renamed to his family name, she treats aprijuice making as a hobby instead, she passes her knowledge to ruby and this helped him indulge in making pokeblocks. while it's hoenn's equivalent to her juice, she doesn't mind it as long as he's learning something.
Tumblr media
trivia ;
- her pokemon team consists of: (old to recently joined)
gardevoir, ursaring, jumpluff, glaceon (previously eevee), solrock, aron
- it's a bit of a running gag with new bark town's population that jaide and gold are the kids with the worst natural bed hair /lh (it's just like that)
- jaide and gold loved to skate together in the national park as kids
- the e. in her maiden name is evergreen
- goldenrod city her favorite landmark since it's the most modernized section of johto. definitely likes shopping there
- jaide doesn't skate anymore, but if she were in a floor of ice, (usually caused by her glaceon), she probably would skate a little. just for old time's sake.
- jaide has met all the johto and hoenn dexholders + only red from kanto. (mt silver incident) she has never personally seen blue, green and yellow but only through others' accounts of them
- she is right-handed.
- semi-canon statement, if she had a mega stone, it would be attached to the back of her necklace
- she supports fran.ticshipping :]]] (she also emotionally supports sapphire as she's not really good at expressing herself without being wild)
- dislikes zinnia. that's it /lh
- in my head, i imagine she's currently living in hoenn but she occasionally visits johto when she can just to see her mother and gold

Roxy Kidswaps, Part II! Regular Roxy has been left out for this, but here's Roxy Crocker, Roxy Strider (A), and Roxy English! As always, they have alternate names as well;
Rudy Crocker - The gamer-iest of the Roxys, her love for video games started very young and she's become a talented coder/programmer with dreams of making her own game. Her name is actually Ruth but she's called Ruthy by her own family, which turns into Rudy from her friends.
Rosa Strider - Despite her more morose expression, Rosa is still pretty kind and has the role of team mom. She's more serious, definitely less playful than her counterparts, and her first priority is making sure her friends are alright.
Rita English - Another absent-minded genius, though her expertise are more towards history, geography, and astronomy than the sciences. She's interested in making contact with aliens.

Rissy, what do you think Dib’s and Gaz’s mom was like?
Ayyyyy, hey Dots!!
I’ll start by saying that I actually flip-flop a lot between giving Dib and Gaz a deceased mother and making Dib and Gaz clones created by Membrane. Both concepts are fun for me and have their own possibilities.
Probably my biggest instance of giving the Membrane family a deceased wife/mother was in A Parade of Indignities. I wrote some little vignette-esque snippets of Dib’s and Gaz’s mom told from Dib’s POV as a small child. I didn’t expand much on her character, other than implying she was very maternal and headstrong in the face of terminal illness. Of course, I wrote this in 2018, and it was mainly written as further insight into Dib’s past and his emotional growth in his teenage years.
But back to the actual question: what do I think Dib’s and Gaz’s mother was like?
I’ll toss around some ideas I like!
I actually love the concept of Membrane meeting the mother of his children through work is an intriguing thought. Them both working as scientists and being badasses together in the lab, then forming this little family is such an interesting, but melancholy idea of what could have been. I imagine she would have been like Professor Membrane’s counterpart. His better half. When he gets too emphatic, she’s there to bring him back down to earth with logic and reasoning.
Another concept I like is that Dib’s mom was an astronomer. This idea for her paints her as more of a whimsical spirit. She’d bond with Dib over the expansiveness of space and it’s many unknowns. She instilled a deep fascination in him to discover more about the unknown and unexplained. Maybe she was interested in the unknowns on Earth and her interests carried over to other paranormal entities (cryptids and ghosts and whatnot), but it all started with space. When she passed away, Dib held onto that love for the unexplained and expanded on it. Might also be why his father is so unwilling to humor Dib’s interests in it—it reminds him too much of his late wife.
I enjoy the “late mother/wife” concept, but I think a majority of my interest in it lies within the headcanons I can make on the surviving Membrane family members. How does the death affect them? How do they carry on?
I think each of the family members has fixated heavy on different things to cope with the hurt: science for Professor Membrane, gaming for Gaz, and paranormal investigation for Dib. They have poor communication skills and kind of bury themselves in their own interests.
I think her passing left their family dynamic in shambles. There are little glimmers and glimpses of a once-functioning family—organized family dinner nights, attempts at bonding, infrequent but genuine shows of affection for one another—but these are often lost in the fray.
Membrane becoming a total workaholic to replace the void of losing a spouse seems like a frighteningly realistic headcanon. Even more frightening is the idea of him becoming emotionally detached from his own children out of grief. Grief turns people into strangers to themselves.
So yeah! I like to think of little headcanons for Dib’s and Gaz’s mom/Membrane’s late wife. I think that any rendition of her I concoct involves her being a loving mother, having a sharp mind, and leaving her family deeply hurt by her loss. My biggest interest in the concept definitely lies in the ways I can explore grief, though.

Disney Villains as Arthurian Characters
We compiled a list of our favorite Arthurian villains, and compared them to some of our favorite Disney villains. Surprisingly, there’s a LOT of similarities; whether it’s motives, gender expression, or character traits, there are some great, classic Disney counterparts to traditional Arthurian villains.
Morgan le Fay as Maleficent
This one is a bit self-explanatory; “evil sorceress obsessed with killing a certain member of a royal family” is a category that both Morgan le Fay and Maleficent fall neatly into. In Arthurian legend, Morgan le Fay does whatever it takes to kill King Arthur, her brother. She’s portrayed as vengeful and cunning; definitely not a good character. Likewise, in the 1959 Disney film Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent curses Princess Aurora to die and spends sixteen years trying to make this happen! She devotes her life to revenge against the king by cursing his daughter, and her scary presence makes for one of the most iconic Disney villains ever. This is just the most obvious similarity between the two, though; when you look deeper into it, they’re really very alike!
Tumblr media
One of the biggest similarities between the two characters is their ability to shapeshift. If you read “Aftir Thes Questis” in Le Morte D’Arthur, you’ll remember when Morgan le Fay transforms herself into a rock while Arthur is chasing her. Because of this, she’s able to get away—she even boasts about it later, saying that she’s not afraid of Arthur since she can do magic and shapeshift whenever she wants! Her kinda-bravado is a notable aspect of her character and shows how capable she is with magic—she can’t fight with a sword and shield like the male characters, so she turns to magic to keep herself squarely in the game. Honestly, it makes her so much more interesting than Arthur; her motives are confusing and, while we know we should be on Arthur’s side, we want to see what she does next!
Tumblr media
In Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent has a similar shape shifting moment of her own. Near the climax of the film, Prince Philip breaks free of the dungeon Maleficent had imprisoned him in. While he’s on his way to save Aurora, Maleficent transforms into a terrifying, purple dragon in order to stop him. This was honestly such a scary scene to watch as a kid and it still holds a lot of authority; it’s the classic hero vs. villain end-scene battle, and is the ultimate expression of Maleficent’s power. Can Prince Philip shapeshift??? I don’t think so. Even though she loses the battle because the story needs a happy Disney ending, it’s still an iconic scene; we remember Maleficent as the terrifyingly interesting sorceress, not just the loser of the battle. She’s such an interesting character because of her wickedness (which is a lot like Morgan le Fay…); I rest my case on the fact that she got her own film series with Angelina Jolie.
Tumblr media
What really brings these two characters together, at least for me, is that I still end up liking them even though they’re villains. Their feminine characteristics are so fleshed out, they possess insane magical powers, and they devote their whole lives to revenge—they’re way more memorable than boring Prince Phillip and do-nothing King Arthur! They’re the real stars of the stories they’re in.

Guenevere's mom as Ursula
Surprisingly, Queen Guenevere’s mom from The Awntyrs Off Arthure is very similar to the one of the most beloved (or feared, depending how you look at it) Disney villain, Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Despite the obvious differences due to both the time periods, existence and the settings, the way they embody their femininity is one and the same.
Tumblr media
Both are portrayed/described as hideous and powerful characters. Ursula uses her power to control Ariel and in turn King Triton, similarly Guenevere’s mom uses her ghostly state to scare the men into changing the way they portray their masculinity. Their power caused them to be feared by the characters in the stories. Ursula was shown as a manipulative con-women and Guenevere’s mom was described as a spiteful ghost condemned for being too prideful and as an adulterer.  Guenevere’s mom is also fairly manipulative, for example, she uses christianity’s hell to scare Guenevere into praying for her soul and the future death of Arthur to scare Gawain into changing the way he portrays his masculinity.
Tumblr media
I think we can all agree that this powerful portrayal of femininity is what makes them such great villains, as it challenges gender norms and threatens masculinity. Who doesn’t love that? Strong female characters are personally my favorite villains or not.

Mordred as Jafar
Tumblr media
One thing that both Mordred and Jafar have in common is betrayal. Mordred betrayed King Arthur by usurping him (also playing a key role in the downfall of Camelot (and himself)), while Jafar betrayed Amara by turning her into a serpent. Both characters sought to gain more power and authority at the expense of others; both wanted to gain control of a kingdom. And, in the end, both characters’ lust for power and control ended in their downfall—Mordred ended up dying while battling Arthur, while Jafar ended up dying after his lamp was destroyed by Iago. Traditionally, Mordred embodies a more toxic masculinity, driven by things like ambition and, once again, a desire for power, just like Jafar.
Tumblr media
While both characters embody these particular power-hungry toxic traits, it’s important to note that these portrayals are dated and don’t align with today’s values of masculinity.

Lancelot as Hans
Tumblr media
Now, don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of differences between Lancelot and Hans. One is the greatest hero of Arthurian Legend and one is the twist villain of one of the highest grossing animated movies of all time in 2013’s Frozen. But at the end of the day, there are quite a few similarities as well. Both are love interests to a female member of a royal family, with Lancelot pining for Guinevere and Hans and Anna establishing a rapid connection with one another (I mean, they sing a song about their love for one another, so you know it’s important to Anna at least; after learning Hans’ plan, the song kind of loses its umph, though). They both also are seen loyally serving the one they are romantically attached to without question, as Lancelot is constantly saving Guinevere from danger and obeys all of her commands and Hans takes over the kingdom in Anna’s absence while she tries to save Elsa because she tells him to.
Tumblr media
The main crux of their connection is the trust they gather before their betrayal. Hans knows exactly what he is doing and has been trying to gain Anna’s trust from the very beginning and yet plans to betray her when the time is right. He is thirteenth in line for a crown he will likely never get, so he goes to Arendelle to take that crown instead. Meanwhile, Lancelot betrays Arthur not because he wants to, but because his love for Guinevere was too strong to ignore. One feels no love for their supposed romantic partner and one feels such strong love that it causes problems. When it comes to Hans and Lancelot, it is more of the idea of the betrayal that connects them over any other aspect, as they are mostly polar opposites otherwise. However, behind the scenes, they have another connection. Lancelot is a later addition to the Arthurian Canon and, similarly, Hans is one of Disney’s more recent animated villains in their own “canon”. And yet, everyone agrees that Lancelot is essential to the Arthurian Canon and many people, including myself, see Hans as one of the more recognizable and important villains in Disney’s vast library of such villains. But really, Lancelot. You could have avoided the whole betrayal problem if you could keep your hands to yourself for five minutes…

Between a fem Near and Fem mello who would be more popular?
Hmm idk if you meant in fandom or in canon but-!
I think fandom-wise a fem!Mello would probably be more popular, especially with a more western audience. People tend to like hot, fiery bombshell blondes (most) of the time + i think a fem!mello would have the sensual appeal that misa does. It would definitely be appealing to see more of a tough girl- especially because the other female characters are only really there to be used as pawns in light's game (aside from lidner and naomi- who did end up being tricked by him but damn if she didnt give him a time of it), and i think people would like the "take no shit" attitude. ... but it depends tho bc fandom is largely populated by a very particular annoying type of ("dudebro") fan, the type that hates female characters that are TOO loud or aggressive, the way Mello is. I find that a lot of male fans like Mello for his agression and more (stereotypically) masculine attitude (though mello is VERY queer with his croptops and leather and long hair), as well as being somewhat of an underdog- i have a feeling the same fans are the ones who'd despise the very same traits in a female counterpart.
Near would be split into three receptions. 1) hated even more feverishly- near was NOT generally liked by the fandom back then- i didnt get into DN until about... 2015-ish? But even then you could tell from the fics and fan reception more from the time that people did NOT like Near at all, and it was rare to find someone that did. I largely suspect this is because he's just very misunderstood- like being seen as emotionless/uncaring when he's just guarded, seen as cocky when hes just confident, seen as 'getting lucky' rather than credit being given to his intelligence. This would be a LOT worse if he was a girl- just look at Misa. Whilst yes, the series does unfortunately downplay her intelligence a lot and turns her into pretty much comedic relief for most of the last third, there are times you can see just how smart and calculating she can be also- that are frequently ignored because shes. Well. A girl. Same would go for fem!near- absolutely everything would be an asspull, people would hate her for being "the worse, girl version of L", and people would respond more negatively because if they already hated near for beating light to begin with, theyd hate even more for a GIRL to do it. 2) the people who'd like fem!near for the appeal of a cute female character- some fans just like cute anime girls and... tbh valid. Some people like characters less when theyre girls, some like them more! I do think early receptions to near might have been more positive if there was that moe factor (and yes near is moe as a boy too but yknow what i mean). She'd definitely be a cute waifu to a lot of people. 3) the people who like near pretty much the same, just that near is a girl now. Id definitely have found a fem!near interesting- the underdog aspect would have been even moreso, and id have loved to not only see light get his ass handed to him by a girl, but a female character who actually got the writing they deserved? Yes please!
I think both characters would be more well recieved now, the way their male counterparts are- especially near, who's much more well liked by this generation of fans than the previous one. I think people would pay them more attention, bc holy shit strong female characters who are morally grey (mello) and very neurodivergent-leaning (near but tbh mello too).
Now IN CANON i think things would be v interesting
Near might have a slightly more difficult time with her team and presenting a case- not the SPK, i genuinely dont think they'd have a problem being lead by a female lead, but i think near would definitely have a lot more problems (from external sources) in general when it came to being in an authoritative role, and would definitely see a lot more pushback when it came to decisions. So she'd let NO ONE outside the team think she was female- as far as everyone would be aware, 'N' would be a man, and the voice filters would reflect that, maybe even purposefully pitched down a little. Of course, Near is canonically voiced by a female VA anyway, so its not like her voice would change, just that she'd be more conscious of it. She'd also be aware that she could use that to her advantage, knowing Kira wouldn't be looking for a woman. This would continue when she succeeded L. As far as everyone would be aware, L would be a man- and this would benefit her greatly on field missions (if there ever were anyway), with people (if ever suspicious) assuming she'd be L's secretary at most.
Mello would definitely definitely use his- or, rather, her looks to her advantage. I think it would be a lot harder for her to climb the rungs of the mafia though, and she'd probably have to work a lot harder and rely a bit more on charming her way up than earning respect the way a man would. Still posing a threat, dont get me wrong, but she wouldn't be stupid to think that she'd ever earn the same level of respect as a man would (i mean its the mafia lets be real here idk much about the criminal underworld but i think its fair to say it's male-dominated and probably quite misogynistic). That probably makes it easier for her to gather intel on potential traitors and targets, though. But mello was never the head so much as a right hand man (at least to my knowledge feel free to correct me if im wrong), so that's probably a more palatable position to the other mafia members than if she had her eyes on the top.

Submitted prompt: Multiverse of Magic
As with every superhero comic and universe, there are multiple universes for MLB, some more serious, some lighter, many with divergent timelines entirely. There's a Miraculous that lets someone jump between them, but it's only to be used in the event of a catastrophic emergency, which Hawkmoth gaining all the other Miraculous definitely qualifies as, so the second Marinette is aware of it, she uses it, intending to go to another universe to ask for help from her counterpart there.
One major detail changed because I hate manpain.
Imagine her surprise when she ends up in a universe where Adrien/Chat Noir is actually a good guy.
-
This Adrien was actually monitored and restricted by his father, (Unlike canon Adrien who's literally been able to sneak out at literally any time he wants to without consequences and can quit modeling without any fuss or problem at all lol) forced to stay inside, unable to sneak out. More than that, however, he was never spoiled, because this Gabriel didn't give his son frivolous things. He made Adrien study constantly to live up to that Golden Boy title and one day take over the Agreste brand, so this Adrien has turned out very differently. He's constantly serious, his voice is quiet and low but firm, his eyes are eternally taking in his surroundings rather than only lingering on Ladybug, and while he's still a pun-loving, smiling, optimistic guy as Chat Noir, he takes his responsibilities as a hero seriously. He has to - he's risking actual reprimand from his father to sneak out.
Though he doesn't want to talk about it, alternate universe Alya explains to Marinette that this universe's Ladybug and Chat Noir were able to defeat Hawkmoth, through Ladybug uniting the Cat and Ladybug Miraculous and using their combined power to undo all the damage Hawkmoth had wrought over the world when he'd gotten the other Miraculi. Now she's off on an adventure somewhere with Tikki and a few other kwami, searching for the other lost Miraculouses so their kwami can be found and rescued.
Adrien had to stay behind, to keep Paris safe, and though he'd longed to go with her, he knew his responsibility lay here, keeping the city safe. So this Adrien is first extremely overjoyed, then concerned about this Marinette, as in actually listening to her, wanting to help her, and being willing to plan with her how to fight Hawkmoth and win without her getting hurt in her own universe.
Unlike our universe's Adrien, he never flirted with her, because his life was so busy and he was only able to leave the house to fight Akumas that he knew he could never be a decent boyfriend, especially when no one would ever be allowed over to visit him. Unlike our Adrien, he isn't allowed to go to a public school, not even if Chloe's already enrolled there. At least, he hadn't been allowed to while his father was still alive. But now he's dead. And now she's off who knows where, doing who knows what, and every day he hopes she'll return so he can tell her all the things he's thought about since he last saw her.
Everything he's been doing since, modeling and making sure to keep the brand going over the summer break, is just because he doesn't have anything else to do - he feels lost without the first real friend he ever made, though now that he's befriended Alya and Nino, now that he can finally leave the house, he's started doing better. He's a sharp dresser, he's smart, he's his best self and yet he's still desperately missing his first partner and friend.
He treats Marinette from the show's universe with kindness. She crashes at his place while they plan out what to do next, where he talks to her and is actually worried if she's doing okay, something her Chat Noir would never ask, he asks her permission to hug her (because it's been a very long year since his father died and Ladybug went on her quest, and he just needs a hug), and he actually has interests outside of just video games.
As he opens up to her and gushes about how he found the Dragonfly Miraculous that lets people be invisible by studying the legends of King Arthur, she finds herself incredibly fond of him. When he lets her be vulnerable and cry about how exhausting her superhero duties are, he asks if she'd like a hug, and is surprised when she cries harder.
Her Adrien, she explains, her Chat Noir, is nothing like this.
"What's he like?" he asks, and she tells him. She tells him about the harassment, the touching, the kissing, the comments, the goofing around during battles, the unrelenting stream of talk, and she's just so tired of it, she hates having to deal with him. He always ignores whatever she wants or says and it makes her feel like dirt.
So alternate universe Adrien, when he's given permission to, holds her close and promises to make this right. She's his best friend, albeit from another life, and he won't let anyone hurt her like this ever again.
He goes back to her universe with her, with the temp heroes and their Miraculi and the Miraculi he's managed to find since the fall of Hawkmoth in his universe, to go defeat Hawkmoth and let Marinette live the normal life she deserves to live.
But first, he's going to find this universe's version of him, and they are going to have a talk about respect, boundaries, and what being a hero means. And if he snatches that ring right off original universe!Adrien's hand and decides to fight alongside Marinette in his stead, well, Marinette is fine with that. It'll be nice to feel like she has back-up, for once.
And if she's falling in love with this guy who's actually there for her, well, she's kind of fine with that, too.

So I started watching the 6th season of OITNB and it does indeed look like an improvement over the mess that was season 5. Phew.
Loving the drama with the OGs having to snitch on each other so that they won't get more time.
Red forgiving Nicky for fucking her over? [cries in a corner]
Have yet to feel bad about Frieda for doing the same though, because you don't see her hurting or feeling remorse. Unlike Nicky, she barely hesitates. Checks out. She's a survivor.
I still love Maria (pretty sure it's because the actress is really good no matter how bad the script gets), but can't blame Gloria for getting revenge. Can't blame Blanca for turning on her either.
What pained me a lot was seeing Cindy implicate Taystee. We had already known that Cindy is selfish and a coward, but this season and her new flashbacks really drive that point home. A really nice touch that she was the one to hug Tasha during her breakdown in front of Piscatella (season 5 finale).
Why is Alex not questioned about the events in the pool though? Does that happen in the background?
Moreover, it's a delight to see the OGs (Flaca, Cindy, Lorna, Daya etc.) interacting now that their cliques are not a thing anymore.
Moving on.
A thing that feels forced to me: Red losing all sense of control when she sees Frieda and thus missing the opportunity to meet her grandchildren for the first time. Like, come on. That only happens to trigger the "SHU is cruel and gives you dementia" ending, because it makes no fucking sense.
Red's s6 characterization is so inconsistent with her s1-s4 counterpart's, who played the long game and did not make such impulsive/hasty decisions.
Not counting s5 Red, because almost every character (except for Tasha, Gloria, Soso and Sophia) was an exaggerated caricature of themselves during season 5.
Another lady whose characterization is off? Lorna's, who thinks that joining a gang is good for her baby. Antidepressants (paroxetine) do have side effects, but do not give you a personality transplant.
"Don't look at me. I'm crazy, but not Florida crazy." Oh, baby.
That's the only reason they kept her there in season 6, because she adds literally nothing to the story.
Now, as for the new characters,
Love the guard who used to be Tasha's friend and Lorna's bunkmate. Hope they both get their own background episodes, because they're the most interesting ones.
Most of the other guards seem pretty bland in comparison--cheap repetitions of previous COs, e.g., Hellman is Humps no. 2.
A good thing that Artesian is back though. She's no Fisher or Wanda, but compared to the rest of the COs... Can't wait to see her PTSD episode.
Why is the show trying to make Dixon, the guard who compared Poussey's murder to breaking a chair and murdered several people and also a girl after he had sex with her because her loved ones "would kill her anyway," goofy and lovable all of a sudden? Isn't the woobification of Tiffany's rapist enough?
I like the "crazy baby killer" (Piper's bunkmate) and want to know what turned her into Medea.
All the new inmate villains (Carol, Barb, Badison & Annalisa) are so cartoonish and over the top. Waiting to see if they'll get any depth, but I'm sensing that the baddies on this show peaked at Vee. Even Piscatella seems more nuanced in comparison.
I'm struggling to see what people saw in Carol... that she's pretty? The older actress is ok, but the younger one's acting is, um, how to put this delicately? Not ideal.
Badison has some funny lines, but she's more of a tryhard high school bully than a compelling antagonist. Waiting to see if that's intentional or not.
Annalisa is so annoying and unnecessary. Could definitely do without her. Glad to know that Lorna attacks her before being moved to Florida honestly.
"Daddy" is so physically unimposing that I find it hard to buy he* is the protector of the block. Androgyny on its own isn't enough. Waiting to see if he'll get some development, because for the time being, it looks like he's Stella no. 2: there to look hot despite the subpar acting and personality of a spoon. But I suppose he's there to trigger Daya's kingpin arc and drug addiction. My point? Missing Boo hours.
*Not sure what pronouns I should use (Annalisa says "he"), because it's not clear to me whether "Daddy" is a trans guy, nonbinary or a cis masc lesbian.
Moving on again.
I found the opening with Suzanne's hallucinations charming yet a bit out of place.
The thing is, S1-S3 were more of a comedy than a drama. S4 was the turning point and the show became more of a drama than a comedy.
Season 5 should have committed to drama, but unfortunately tried to balance the two and stumbled.
Season 6 is another attempt at balancing the two.
Nicky remains funny, but the lines lack the spark and wit of her pre-s5 ones. Maybe that can be explained due to the "We're all in Max now" development, maybe it's due to the new writers interpreting her differently.
Something is missing there for sure and is definitely not the "I'm a player, but suddenly stopped chasing women" bit.
Piper keeps asking for Alex ("a broken record" like Daya says) and then spends her time joking about their wedding. What else is new with these two?
What else indeed. Hm.
Where the hell is Sophia? I know she gets out in the finale, but in the meantime, where is she? We barely saw her in season 5 after 2 interactions with Gloria.
Oh, last but not least, missing Soso and Chang hours.
Not missing Leanne and Angie at all hours. Too bad that they replaced them with equally irritating characters.

In general, some biographies hint towards the contestants canon counterparts, such as the dream section for both Mary and Cameron basically being what Jo and canon Cameron were like. However, some biographies might foreshadow what will happen to the character in the competition…
Now for more specific stuff:
Brick’s chosen movie, Surge of Hassan, is based on the movie Sergeant Hassan
Her personality is modeled strongly off of her prototype design, as she sports as a more callous and brutish demeanor. Regardless, she’s still a momma’s boy!
Mary’s fav song, Summer and a Typhoon by Trolly Hell, references Spring and a Storm by Tally Hall
I wanted him to be the definition of a girl-failure but still have an interest in sports.
Staci’s fav music artist, Glad Donna, references Madonna
Staci’s fav movie, Rude Gals starring Reggie and Janelle as characters, references Mean Girls which has Janice and Regina as prominent characters.
Canon Staci’s biography mentions being a hairdresser, so that tiny trait is now a bigger part of her personality here. She embodies that judgey, gossip-loving stereotype of female hairstylists. Staci in canon also has a tendency to lie, so does this one, but is just more… convincing about it.
Mike’s fav movie, Earthdog Day, is based on the movie Groundhog Day.
Mike’s dream date, Lorrison Ellie, references Laurie Elliot, the voice actor of Jo who’s also a comedian.
Mike has DID still, and some parts of his biography allude to smiles alters…
Mike’s personality is inspired by Jimmy Two Shoes, since beta Mike looks a lot like Jimmy Two Shoes, who is another character his voice actor plays as. Jimmy is a cheerful and loving boy despite literally being a resident of hell, similar to how upbeat Mike is despite his…not-so-wholesome past. Also, Jim’s series is a light-hearted comedy show which is why Mike is a comedian.
The book Scott was talking about in the job section of his biography is Where The Red Fern Grows. While he acquires a raccoon army to hunt down two hounds, the books stars a boy and his two redhounds hunting down raccoons.
Prototype Scott has design elements from Canon Brick, so obviously I had to make Scott a cadet too! …Or so it seems.
Cam’s fav video game soundtrack, The Myth of Link, is based on The Legend of Zelda.
Cameron mentioning that scrib has bad luck but that not deterring zaps is based on how his official prototype design resembles like Mickey n Jay, two boys from RR who are quite unlucky but still remain determined to achieve their goals in the competition.
This Cameron is much more adventurous and bold than their canon self. Cameron’s story in the official show tells the tale of a boy who literally and metaphorically gets out of his bubble and learns more about the outside world and how to accept and live in it. This Cameron instead is FAR from sheltered though still retains the Og’s curious, analytical, and socially inept nature. Also, instead of being a nerd, they’re more of a geek!

okay, while it’s fresh in my mind, here are my thoughts on sonic prime based on the preview! (under the cut, for those avoiding spoilers)
so. overall, i don’t think it’s bad. the writing is pretty childish but the concept and overall plot so far is pretty solid, i think?
mostly i wanna talk about the characters, with relevant plot details mixed in-
so, let’s start with sonic. prime!sonic is... well, he’s going hard on the childish side, and also he’s kind of an overconfident idiot. like, if you manage to upset tails in your first five minutes of existence that’s a red flag, i feel? he’s very enthusiastic and confident, and he does love his friends but he’s very very very bad at listening to anything they say- and that upsets them, because! yeah! it would be pretty upsetting to feel like you’re being ignored, especially when it gets you into way more trouble than before. like every problem sonic walks into here is 100% self-inflicted. i’m not a huge fan of sonic sounding like he’s a younger kid (it especially contrasts oddly with everyone else being more or less the same as usual), but given that that’s the direction they’re going for this deven mack did a solid job with it- i’d say it’s a good performance.
we don’t see much of prime!amy, but what we do get is pretty solid: looks like they’re focusing on her role as the heart of the team, as someone who can rally people together and see the best in others. i like her voice, too, but that’s not surprising since shannon chan kent has haunted me for years now.
prime!rouge is iconic. her brief scenes were absolutely the highlight for me, the characterization was on point- she’s in on sonic’s egg-bashing team for her own reasons, seemingly, and she’s got a lot of the distinctive style and personality of her game counterpart i feel- kazumi evans (adagio dazzle and also rarity’s singing voice from mlp:fim) was the perfect pick for her. for years i’ve found rouge’s voice way too high-pitched and grating, but this could very easily become my favorite portrayal of her!
prime!tails is pretty much just tails: he’s a genius kid messing around with technology stuff. it’s also a plot point that he’s very tolerant, and basically never gets upset- making the fact that sonic somehow managed it in the first five minutes to be even more impressive. despite that, he also got over it quickly and clearly has a lot of faith in sonic despite being aware of his faults- what little we get to see of their relationship is very cute! ashleigh ball’s performance feels a bit odd, but i think it’s just that i’m really used to colleen o’shaughnessy- it’s not a bad portrayal, and there’s usually a period of adjustment for these things.
prime!knuckles we really don’t see much of- just enough to get a feel for the vibe they’re going for. it’s nice to see his serious personality make a return, but i don’t have a ton of thoughts on him at the moment. adam nurada’s performance isn’t bad, but it is distracting- everyone else sounds so young, whereas his voice is far deeper.
prime!big is there very briefly, along with froggy. you love to see a fisherman and his frog. his voice (ian hanlin) was also jarring, but like tails it’s because i’m so used to how he’s usually talked throughout the series. it’s not a bad change at all! overall, big just seems like a nice guy.
prime!shadow (ian hanlin again) is... we do not see a lot of him. it’s hard to get a read on him, but what little we get is interesting: there’s definitely something up with him, anyway.
prime!eggman seems- pretty standard? though, like sonic, somewhat kid-ified. brian drummond does a fine job with him. orbot and cubot are here, too, and they seem about the same as ever!
now for the alternate universe characters:
the chaos council... sure is! why is there an eggman baby. why is there a gamer eggman with frosted tips?? (is that even the word for those anymore???) but it’s an interesting concept, and i can absolutely get behind going completely off-the-wall for something like this
as for the more direct counterparts...
i’m very fascinated by rebel rouge and renegade knuckles, and it’s nice to see that even in a world without sonic the two of them would have met regardless (which makes sense- they didn’t meet because of him in the first place!). we don’t see a ton of them, but we do see them keeping tabs on sonic, and i’m excited to see where the show is going with them!
new yoke city!big still has froggy. froggy has a little suit and hat to match his. that is all. <3
nine, aka alt-tails, is far less tolerant than prime!tails; which makes sense given his backstory. he’s just as clever, but puts that intelligence toward defending himself and avoiding the people around him. i’m excited to see more of him, too!
rusty rose is. um. so. i very much did not have ‘evil cyborg amy rose’ on my bingo card! but here we are, huh? of all the characters to be roboticized (because that’s... basically what this is. they don’t use the term, but that’s what it is), amy is probably the one that hits hardest for me- especially upon revealing that she has no heart, and a little bird in its place. it makes me wonder exactly what happened to her- hopefully we’ll find out.

I guess I’m numbering these!!
LACONIC WANDERER. I learned a whole new word from you, honestly that synonym works better than saying “silent” or something, it adds a new layer of mystery. Maybe the style and spelling and vibe of the word. Ignis hehe, Latin for fire, that one sure is popular, granted I’ve only seen it used one other time, but def much nicer than other fire based English names.
Kotone, ah the Johto games always gave off a more justice vibe to me. I had to erase a whole spiel I accidentally went off on here, but it definitely captures the passion in those games. Even TR acknowledges that about the protagonist. Cute Pokémon name too!
Haruuukaaaa my 2nd fav, ugh weren’t those Pokémon Evolution episodes SO good for her and Leaf? Adventurous Darling!!! Oh she SO is, under the SEA into SPACE, the varied climate for Hoenn is BUILT for adventure. And v cute too, very lovable. Steven got roasted by his dad and Zinnia over the better newer Champ AND by Hoenn Radio, only game to have it too I think? I’m biting my lips to not launch into a rant about every girl and their region, you’re activating my Pokémon Fanatic side and this CAN get into deep meta territory if I’m not careful.
Candeloro!! Yes, Blaziken, giant candle, I can see it, very shaped. The whole loro at the end is very nickname-y, and I wonder if I feel that way bc of the nickname Toro by her manga counterpart from Pokespe.
Congrats to BW for being the only game to deliberately call the protagonist a hero of something of prophecy. Very battle-ready, good ol’ Unova where they demand active students for competitive programs but god forbid you actually fight for social change. You said every girl’s personality was different and honestly I see it, and it fits them and where they grew up perfectly. Throw them in a room together and it will be so interesting how the dynamics work. Gretchen? I had to look that one up, and it’s interesting. Even if someone didn’t know the meaning of any of these names, just the way they roll off the tongue feels like a name that matches each girl’s character. Vowels and consonants and all that.
I’m scared of this thing refreshing on me so I’ll continue in another ask.
So! Leaf was in fact the last of the girls to receive her title. I knew I wanted to use the adjective 'Laconic', but no matter where I looked, there wasn't a word to describe someone who happens to appear at the right place at the right time.
And that's kind of what she does? Leaf didn't set out to track down Team Rocket, she kept arriving at just the right moment to interfere. But Wanderer works well for her, because that's what she loves to do. Leaf travels at her own leisurely pace, that's her approach to life too. She enjoys stopping to sniff the Roselia, so to speak.
Kotone's was another one that took some time. I wanted a title that conveys her strongest quality, her compassion. She is ceaselessly gentle and kind, no matter how combative and rude Silver is towards her. Her patient attitude towards him also contrasts well with her friends' feelings. Hibiki is easily intimidated by him, and Kris thinks what the redhead needs most is a good kick to seat of the pants.
Even though Kotone is almost always shown with Chikorita as a partner, I think Typhlosion is best for this AU's incarnation of her. Kotone's Typhlosion, Eva (who is actually male), his name means 'life'. Fire doesn't have to only bring destruction. It can also bring warmth, and I feel that's something which matches Kotone's outlook. She tries to see the good in everything and everyone.
Haruka, I've always described how I see her as 'the perfect blend of tomboy and girly girl'. She can be both! She's traveled all across the region and has even gone to space, she's become the strongest trainer in Hoenn, she also collects Poké Dolls and performs onstage as a beloved Contest Star.
Similarly to Kotone more often than not being shown with Chikorita, Touko usually is given Tepig/Emboar as a partner. Without looking at who her partner is in Sisterhood, one may assume from her title that this is the case here as well.
However, a Serperior is her starter! The 'Hot-Blooded' in Touko's title pertains to her being Reshiram's Chosen instead. I think if someone were to tell her that a Fire-type suits her better, she would respond with something like,
"My partner may not have flames on the outside, but that doesn't matter! The flames of passion burn bright inside her!!"

I think I didn't send you an ask yet so here !
10, 13, and 24 for now !! :D
(Asks from this ( x ) meme)
10. Your favorite ost?
Oh, this is definitely Living Failures! It was the very first Bloodborne OC I've ever heard though. A friend that played From's games shared it with me and back then I didn't pick instant interest in the game (unlike how when I've heard Micolash's theme...), but the music was AMAZING. It was the coolest videogame soundtrack I've heard in years, and I sat until 5 AM that night listening to that track on repeat. Because it got me so hyped I've lost all sleep, that's why!!! Still remains my favorite track, just... absolutely unrivaled buildup, beautiful instruments, and of course, AAAAAAAVEEEEE AAAAVEEEEE STEEEEELAAAAAAR. When I was obsessed with that track back then I of course could not appreciate the lore significance and how well in conveyed the absolute reverence, anguish, yearning and desperation for salvation from the 'stars', so now I love it even more. It is one of the best tracks in the game, it didn't need to be attached to an epic battle to be epic.
13. A cut content you would have wanted in the game?
God, how this is even a question? Of course, OF COURSE, what else it can be other than...... ARCHIBALD'S [EXAGERRATED LIP-LICKING]-
sdfhfhsghfsd okay okay but seriously now xD There is... a lot of stuff. Almost all cut content of Bloodborne is removed in such an elegant fashion that you can sort of still discover how probable it is it upon vague clues... as if it wasn't removed, but hidden (Rom gurl what you doin THIS time). The perfect example is Annalise's unborn baby whose mention was patched out very early after launch, but you can still conclude it from how both Annalise and Arianna lose melanin in their hair and from that bloody trail leading to Annalise's under skirt area.
Tumblr media
(patched out and only saved via screenshots)
However, it is for THIS reason why a lot of cut content of Bloodborne is BETTER stay cut - because it creates a more challenging lore riddle! Isn't it more fun to deduce a lore bit using your own observation and analytical skills, instead of just being told what happened exactly? From Annalise's unborn baby to 'if there is Flora would not there be a counterpart named Fauna?', things better stay untouched and create a mystery!
But there is a different kind of cut content as well, and I am talking about…
Tumblr media
( x )
I owe this discovery to @val-of-the-north , and also I believe @nymerias-wrath confirmed this detail (she tends to know absolutely EVERYTHING about cut or patched out content so I'd recommend asking her for any clarification you ever need). It sounds like such a good idea! I presume the lake refers to the one Rom is guarding, and again, a bird chirped to me that you'd end up in the upside-down Byrgenwerth. (I really need to gather more solid sources now that I am talking about it...) I still adopt it in my ideas and make it so that Moonside Lake used to be the portal into the rest of Byrgenwerth (and that's how Edgar found Micolash), but Micolash 'closed' it when Edgar had dick brain moment and spilled him the truth just because he was a simp -_- And sent some of the Shadows he had serving him as Mergo's "dad" as a bonus loool.
Not to mention I fucking L O V E Micolash's cut dialogue soooooOOOOOOO fucking MUCH. Just… everything about it. I am, in fact, not all too happy about how we only meet him in the "end" of his way, already fully insane and gone, when cut dialogue suggests he STILL has a struggle left within him, between his human side and 'madman that only cares for higher plane' side (Adeline moment). It was just… so tragic. Like… I get that after everything player been through, meeting him SHOULD have been a comic relief moment so the player recharges and still has emotional energy to care about plot's culmination… There was just no room for the 'betrayal sequence' I suppose? …except there was, and I think the devs could have elaborated Nightmare of Mensis more, make us see Micolash as a friend NPC that we go back to during Nightmare questlines, someone that grows on us to the point we see him as Doll v.2 (maybe he could even level us up too, or give us special benefits in exchange of Insight). So, instead of recharging player emotionally with hilarity (or annoyance, depends on how you feel towards Micolash's "battle"), we could have been recharged by the fake sense of peace and comfort, see him as someone interested in freeing Mergo just as much… and then HAHA LOOSER GOTCHAAAAAA. The only good thing about the decision to make him more plain is that 'traitor' is the fact that betrayal sequence is THE ultimate imba of Tumblr sexymen, and if he did betray us, he'd have even STRONGER grasp on the simps. o_o hoooo boy… There'd be NO survivors....
24. Share a fond memories.
I presume this must refer to fandomry? Because every single moment of playing Bloodborne is already a good memory. xD Hmmm... I already mentioned that time when I got an anon ask on my 'formal' blog, saying 'can we get random alfred hcs'? I felt extremely honoured that someone wanted ME to share the ideas about a character they liked, especially when back then I was just an awkward asocial lore person in the fandom and didn't pose myself as a writer upon request, or just a writer. It is because I cherish that moment of trust so much I avoid saying unflattering things about Alfred despite having grievances with the character. x) It was just such a good memory that I never get tired of bringing it back!
I also have a very good memory of a certain day. That day I was able to catch my coworker stealing money from the cash register (!) and attempting to frame me (!!!), using nothing but my amazing detective skills, so I was already pretty hyped. I was ranting to Val about it in a VC over phone on my way home. And imagine how much more joy and unhinged happiness I felt, when during VC I opened Tumblr and saw the ask celebrating that 'finally good Doll takes are picking up and people are giving her a justice instead of seeing her as gross sexual object and then claiming to love her'. I am paraphrasing but you must recall that one because you clearly got an ask from the same person xD Just... one "victory" layered upon another, and I've felt such intense mania and CHEER, that the raw power of emotions made that day a blinding, bright spot somewhere in the record of my life. This is what happens to a mf when they barely ever feel real happiness and just pretend to look alive. Maybe it was not a big deal in retrospective, but it made me feel DRUNK in happiness. ...so drunk that my response was not very nice and more like 'HAHAHAHA MFKING LOOOOOSERS WHO IS THE BEST LORE PERSON NOW HUH FUCK YOU ALL I AM FUCKIN BALLIN'' that I still feel a bit guilty about ^^"" But it was one of my best memories nonetheless.
Out of a bit more personal stuff, I'd say that you and @heraldofcrow are a very fond memory, and also @jarognieva . You guys sticked with me through everything, even when I started to genuinely spiral to my worst and fully embraced the prospect of you all being sick of me, you still chose to stay mutuals. Seeing you grow from a shy user to someone with very elaborate ideas and a lot of passion was an absolute delight. And I've got to see how much your art improved over time, and how Crow started to draw. I am just glad that I got to at least see you guys get better and make more friends and improve your skills.... (and seeing how much I rotted Crow's brain with overly specific lore bits when I saw her insane theory ramblings about Vilebloods AHAHAHAHAHA.) Like... just watching you guys was a great experience, getting to talk with you and to exchange the ideas is even more than I could have asked for, but I am very thankful.
Also, of course, my version of Rom getting FANART. I cried pathetic unloved kid happy tears all three times I received it. Two drawings were done by Saintmic and another one was done by someone else who is, eh, a NOT fond memory now, really.
Tumblr media
Though honestly, Saintmic was a very good fandom memory as well. I once posted a very creepy, weird remark on Micolash as a character and how he'd corrupt people with his cultist brainwashing..... and after some time I got a reblog from him with even WORSE (/pos) take. I was so surprised to see someone having an idea more disturbing than mine. And it happened later too, when I proposed the idea of Micolash not harming fertile females specifically because of his gross obsession with women and birth, and he added that in fact it was more likely that he just used women for rituals (especially their menstrual blood) when men were just cattle. I am dead serious. The creativity and lore just... increased so much as we were exchanging ideas, my lore got so much better, I actually owe my ultra super fantastic and elaborate portrayal of Micolash to him as inspiration and someone giving ideas and honestly knowing Micolash's very soul. Honestly, you can play a game of 'guess how much of my Micolash lore I owe that guy' and you will lose because you probably not estimate big enough. Ya'll just don't know what it feels like to be a weirdo, to feel avoided and shunned even by fellow Micolash simps for "disturbing" and "not sexy" ideas, to question whether I am just spoiling a beloved character with my monkey brain and then meet someone who just hits a blunt and goes all: 'I smell weakness'.
Tumblr media
Basically I've found my Stitch yeah. When you get 'the creepy kid' side-effect in the autism drawbacks fortune wheel, you learn to cherish such things </3
Thank you for the ask!!!

it probably won't get explored but the logistics of the Persona II fascinate me, considering Wonder probably knows all of them outside the metaverse. like depending on whether or not they're based on his perceptions of them or that's what their personas would really be if they actually awakened he could just have intimate knowledge of their psyches and what they repress about themselves and how they act without those shackles and they just don't know.
Oh same, I think the possible implications are so interesting!!! Though I will say, since Merope's the one making the Phantom Idols, I think if anything it's her perceptions of them (likely influenced by the Sea of Souls, or at least the Metaverse, if not legitimately what she knows their Personas would be) that's informing their appearances and Personas (and, as she said herself, their codenames, haha), probably not Wonder's perceptions. I sort of suspect she is probably accurate, given that the original P5 Phantom Thieves all appear completely "correctly", but that might just be because the devs wanted to make sure the returning characters were portrayed accurately to draw fans in (ie, they're accurate for a meta reason), and not really something we can take as in-game confirmation.
Either way, having fought alongside their Merope-made counterparts, I definitely think some of that second part of your ask has to be relevant! Whether they're entirely accurate to the people he knows or not, it has to be super strange for him to be so familiar with these people without them knowing about it. Especially for someone like Kayo, who is so different as Okyann!
... Though I think this all actually first occurred to me from Motoha's point of view first, when we very first got it confirmed that Kotomo's a Phantom Idol? That's (some flavor of) an alternate version of her best friend she's spending time with in the Metaverse! Do you think she ever forgets whether it was Tomoko or Kotomo that mentioned something to her? Or accidentally starts to bring up something about the Metaverse with Tomoko, forgetting that's not the one that's a Phantom Thief? I feel like Motoha's got this even weirder than Wonder does, because she already knew one of the idols so well.
Tragically, you're probably entirely correct that it's not something that'll be explored in-game, since it seems to primarily be a vehicle for the gacha function that Cattle reacts to with the equivalent of "yeah, that makes sense" and then they move on and it's never thought about more deeply. Oh well, I suppose that's what theories and other fanon content is for...

TMNT-VERSE INFO— the different versions of whitney snow hamato
NOTES: whitney is the youngest child of raph and ash, and she is one of the youngest out of the next generation of ninja turtles. hopefully, you enjoyed it!
WARNINGS: mentions of internalizing feelings, burnout, overworking, concealing emotions, nihilism/nihilistic thinking.
{~~~}
2003 WHITNEY:
TSUNDERE! TSUNDERE! This girl is a fun-loving tsundere, that’s for sure. When she’s embarrassed, Whitney gets very defensive. She can get combative with others, not liking the idea of blindly following other people’s orders without understanding why. 2003 Whitney is more sporty like her 1987 counterpart. She’s spontaneous and outgoing, and 2003 Whitney would definitely prefer a night on the town than being stuck at home. She’s bold, original, and observant of others. Whitney has great people skills, and she gets bored really easily. When it comes to conflict, Whitney is dismissive of others. Not because she doesn’t care, but because she is very conflict-adverse and she gets uncomfortable in those scenarios. Whitney can be unfocused and she has poor time management and long-term planning skills. However, she is uplifting, excitable, and eager. 2003 Whitney really likes skateboarding, and her favorite music genre is pop.
2007 WHITNEY:
This version of Whitney typically looks like she’s dull and uninterested, much like her eldest sister. However, unlike Harley, Whitney uses that as a frontage. 2007 Whitney has the tendency to set unrealistic expectations for herself. Similar to her 2003 counterpart, 2007 Whitney doesn’t like following others’ orders when she doesn’t have any sort of reasoning. Because of this mindset, Whitney can be rebellious. She’s goal-oriented, determined, and independent. This version of Whitney is a naturally curious and inquisitive person. There are moments when she comes off as nosy and slightly intrusive to others. She can be moody during stressful circumstances, often lashing out at others. Like the 2012 iteration of Whitney, 2007 Whitney likes to wear primarily dresses or an outfit that goes with a skirt. Her favorite color is an icy blue, and she often dyes her hair in that wintery light blue color. 2007 Whitney is also glued to her phone and she is usually one of the last ones to go to sleep, typically staying up all night with her Uncle Mikey and some combination of her cousins playing video games together.
BAYVERSE WHITNEY:
face claim: lily chee
Intellectual, creative, and strategic. Those are three words to describe this iteration of Whitney. Bayverse Whitney is often seen as mild and unassuming, never usually losing her cool. She gets easily defensive when confronted, and she isn’t very vulnerable with others even if she’s close to them. Bayverse Whitney carries herself in a casual manner, and at times, she can seem apathetic to others. Whitney loves a good challenge, and she can be competitive with others. Whitney is incredibly good at acting, which helps her in concealing her true emotions, and she knows how to keep a secret. Even though she’s a very private person, Whitney is very reliable. Normally, Whitney doesn’t make impulsive decisions, but in times of crisis, Whitney has shown to make impromptu choices because she will do whatever it takes to defend her loved ones. She’s strong-willed and not easily deterred by conflict, and she is an extremely skillful kunoichi. Whitney has a passion for cosmetics like makeup and hairdressing, and her favorite genre of books to read is a murder mystery.
2012 WHITNEY:
2012 Whitney is generally a very happy girl. She’s a quieter person, but unlike her 1987 counterpart, it’s not because she’s shy or timid. She’s just generally a quiet person. With her quietness comes her bluntness, and there are times when Whitney will come out and say something that gains interesting responses from others. This version of Whitney is definitely a foodie, and she's often the one to raid the fridge at night with her Uncle Mikey. She’s smart and fact-based, often spitting out random facts to others around her. She’s reserved, yet willful. 2012 Whitney tends to have a rational viewpoint on life. She’s dutiful, and she is calm and practical about things. Whitney tends to have helpful ideas, but she can also unreasonably blame herself for things that happen. 2012 Whitney loves to wear dresses, and her favorite food is potstickers.
1990 WHITNEY:
face claim: kelsey asbille chow
1990 Whitney is very passionate, driven, and understanding. Whitney is shy at times, usually when receiving affection, but she isn’t afraid to be loud and proud. 1990 Whitney is known to be resilient and altruistic in nature. Whitney is incredibly artistic and specializes in clay sculpting, various types of painting, and DIY projects. She also creates and produces music, and she also has a passion for interior design. This iteration of Whitney is quite unorganized and messy, and she has the tendency to throw herself into her work and burn herself out. She can be protective of her loved ones, sometimes to a point where she can come off as clingy. She’s innovative, imaginative, and experimental. Whitney is warmhearted, reliable, punctual, and curious. Whitney often inspires others to do their best. She’s just adorable my god 🥰
1987 WHITNEY:
1987 Whitney is meeker and shyer than her eldest sister, Harley. She’s incredibly kindhearted and trusting— sometimes too trusting. Whitney can be gullible at times, trying to see the good in others. Even though Whitney is a skilled kunoichi, she doesn’t immediately resort to violence. Whitney tends to internalize and hide her emotions from others, as she feels like she would be burdening them. I can see 1987 Whitney’s character being similar to Orihime Inoue’s character from Bleach. She can come off as naive and clueless, friendly and optimistic, and patient and tender. Whitney, when not training, prefers to play various sports, skateboard with her Uncle Mikey, sing with her eldest sister, Harley, and play board games (that she usually loses at, but she still has fun with it.)
COMIC WHITNEY:
Comic book Whitney is the most hostile of her versions. She isn’t as impulsive as her older sister, but out of her counterparts, the comic book Whitney is the most angered out of the other versions of her. She’s the most serious and snarky version of Whitney. Whitney likes to intentionally freak out others because she finds amusement in their reactions (she’s not malicious about it, it’s just teasing). Whitney is easily annoyed by others, deafening noises, which is something that she can’t stand. This version of Whitney is so fucking badass. She’s tough, versatile, and tactful. Whitney has a stronger sense of judgment than most of her peers. Even though she has her moments where she’s a troublemaker, Whitney is often getting Harley and Steele out of trouble and knocking some sense into them, which leads to her acting more like an older sibling despite her being the youngest. Comic book Whitney loves lollipops and writing stories, and she often helps the adults with teaching and training the other kids.
RISE/2018 WHITNEY:
Oh. My. God. ROTTMNT Whitney is such a fucking riot. This version of Whitney is very similar to Sans’ character from Undertale. Rise Whitney is the jokester— similar to Leo in this universe. However, unlike her Uncle Leo, Whitney has moments where she’ll go very abruptly serious, which often catches others around her off guard. Whitney can be nihilistic and unmotivated at times, and she is very observant. This kid is very blunt and not afraid to get honest with others.  Whitney usually has a realistic mindset, but there are moments in her life when she’ll think more nihilistically. With her enemies, Whitney isn’t afraid to use underhanded tactics on them to gain the upper hand. ROTTMNT Whitney isn’t very trusting of other people, so they would have to really try and gain her trust. Deep inside, even though she isn’t incredibly straightforward with her affection, Whitney truly does love her friends and family. Rise Whitney looks up to her Aunt April (Whitney won’t outwardly admit it though), which is why she wears her hair up in twin buns all the time. Her favorite colors are gold and silver, and her least favorite colors are green and pink. Whitney is obsessed with coffee (she and her uncle Donnie both live off of coffee), specifically she likes mocha frappuccinos and java chip frappuccinos flavors.

I don't know if you've answered this before but what would Navi versions of your robot masters be like?
Huh... I'm not sure I've ever really thought about that... Let's see...
OrigamiMan.EXE - Probably more disjointed in a way, like several origami pieces kind of arranged into a body and head, but they can separate for attacks. Speaks in haiku, fairly stoic. I want to say he should be normal element, though being paper, it would make sense for him to be Wood element and thus also weak to Heat... I see his operator as maybe an elegant female artist in a kimono.
DiscoMan.EXE - Main features I imagine would be him having a disco ball afro and a colorful headset, perhaps sort of rides a platform with DJ turntables on it. Can send notes down the field in sort of a slower more reasonably dodgeable version of Bass' Air Burst attack, kind of looking like a rhythm game. Has a chill personality, grooving to the rhythm of life. Operated by a Netopian club DJ.
FruitMan.EXE - Definitely the "chibi" style Navi, like IceMan. Cute and playful in appearance, very friendly. Probably still uses most of the overall elements of his RM design, just simplified and chibified. Might be Wood element since he's plant based? Operator, I see her being sort of a cheerful, sunny farmer type. Freckles, kind of sandy blond pigtails, etc.
BowMan.EXE - Honestly would probably be fairly close to his RM look, but rather than a separate bow, might have a wrist-mounted crossbow. Outfit perhaps a bit more sleek in appearance. Probably Wood element? Very thee and thou type, probably would get along well with KnightMan. As such, I imagine his operator is probably from Creamland, a skilled archer in his own right and perhaps someone that works under Princess Pride.
MetMan.EXE - Again, hard to say how different he'd look from his RM counterpart, though the Met influences would veer more toward those of Mettaur viruses, like no visible mouth, wider eyes, etc. Can make use of the MetGuard shield as well as the pickaxe, can probably summon Mettaurs to help guard himself. Operated by a gruff construction foreman.
DevilMan.EXE - I see him having some of those "constantly flaming" effects like the whispy parts of KillerMan's design. Likes to headbang and throw the horns during longer field attacks. Definitely Heat element. I do see his RM counterpart as liking heavy metal due to how Alex drew him, haha. Could see his Navi version talking like a punk rocker. For an operator, I kind of want to go with the idea of his RM version originally being for volcanic research, so his operator I could see being a female researcher, but with a punk aesthetic to her, makeup, maybe a spiked collar and such, some elements under a sort of customized labcoat to go with her style. She likes the research, but also likes to keep things interesting and lively.
GlassMan.EXE - I probably would lean more fully into the stained glass look for him. Sleek, elegant, almost regal in appearance. Has a deep calm to his nature, seemingly unflappable. Might be normal element himself, but possibly could have different elemental attacks depending on the colors / patterns of windows he creates. I'm not so sure what to do for an operator for him. Like, given the stained glass influence, I'd want to say a church worker could be a possibility, but I'm not sure on the logistics of "We now must pause this sermon because this kid in a bandana wants a net battle. Can I get a hallelujah?"
VegasMan.EXE - Very lit up in appearance, has lines of flashing lights along major lines of his body. Plays up the concept of the "one armed bandit," having an outlaw look with a hat tilted over his eyes, one arm completely obscured by a poncho (possibly has a design with card suits on it), a pistol in the other hand. As a reference to the Casino Shield weapon his RM counterpart has, kind of has a "mobile hiding spot" like GateMan, his being a poker chip that shields him. His attacks are all based on things like cards, coins, various casino items. His operator is a very smug and smarmy card dealer. A bit full of himself, he thinks he can't possibly lose a net battle because "the house always wins."
