and listen im no izzy apologist, but GOD he has very quickly risen from one of my least favourite characters to one of my favs. I love him SO much. Con's singing voice? FUCKING GORGEOUS. and frenchie playing the lute again?? FUCK. you bet your ASS im writing a fanfic about that WHOLEEE episode. GOD. im so unbelievably happy about episode 6 you guys have NO idea. Last season's party episode was my fav prior to this, but THIS episode?? all time fav hands down. now dont even get me STARTED on episode 7. die. so what the fuck was that. I was LOVING when the episode started, saw frenchie shake some ass in the background and almost had a heart attack (i will forever be in love with Frenchie sorryyy), but then THAT. scene. WHAT THE FUCK. the lead up to ed and stede reuniting and making up was SO good and then THAT??? WHAT THE FUCK?? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOURE GONNA BE A FISHERMAN??? DIEEEEE. I wouldve COMPLETELY understood if Ed said the last night was a mistake and he had to figure things out before he could continue with Stede. thats fine. thats actually really great and really healthy and i love that, genuinely. but then the ARGUEMENT?? MCU, Teen Firstly, the tapeworm is a metaphor. This one is what if the spell at the end of nwh failed and even Peter forgot he was Spider-man. Its really good, especially how the memory loss and displacement is written.

MCU, Teen believe it or not, this one was written before nwh, litcraz just fully predicted it. Peter has to make a very bad deal and everyone forgets he exists, but he keeps ending up back in the Avengers path.

SW, Teen Legally required to star the SW section of this with two independent-variables fic, their writing is so much to me (I literally binged all 4 pages of their star wars fics on ao3). This one is about after the Clone Wars, Davijaan moves to Pantora with Cody to heal after the war. He reunites with a civilian he met once and slowly falls in love. Examines person hood, healing, love, and siblings. (oh and the authors settings in Pantora are inspired by Alaska and are so freaking beautiful)

SW, Teen I was hard-pressed to make a choice of just one more from this author, but since I can't list all of them here is another favourite. It's about Rex discovering what it means to be free, and have a choice beyond brainwashing, and then offering freedom to all his brothers. It uses elements of Tatooine slave culture by @fialleril, which is all just so beautiful, so definitely check out them as well!

SW, Teen Quite likely the first clone wars fic I read? I love a good mystery and this fic has that with a very fulfilling ending. Obi-Wan kills the Chancellor and goes into hiding toward the end of the war. Five years later he's presumed dead but Cody doesn't believe that and wants to know why he betrayed everyone.

SW, G and Teen This is a must read for anyone. It's all written as correspondence, transcripts, and droid logs, as a post rogue one fix-it. It's actually amazing how much the story makes you invested while you are very clearly behind a fourth wall. I adore it so much.

SW, M One that was recommended to me (by independent-variables). Its dark and has body horror so I loved it. The way Cody is written from both his own perspective and others is in such a way that you can really understand who he is. Truly one of the Cody fics. There is also a sequel that's a wip and is also amazing (I'm still thinking about it).

The Witcher, Mature If you haven't read anything by spqr, congrats, you're missing out. This one is a kind of sleeping beauty au, where Geralt is a statue and Jaskier accidentally wakes him up. They then have to go on a quest to save everyone Geralt holds dear.

The Witcher, Mature I love this cause, horror. It gets pretty dark, please mind the tags is horror is not your forte. Jaskier is cursed so a witcher is hired to save him.

Vanishing Act by nockout

Harry Potter, Mature This is probably the only time I'll recommend a harry potter fic, but it's truly worth it. This is a noir detectivy thing that starts by being spread over two different points in time that slowly meet. I have no clue how the author keeps all the plotlines together cause, wow. It also follows an original character which I really love. I'm a few chapters behind that latest update so am feeling like a reread is in order.

ahhhhh! so, i know i probably mentioned this before, but blackout was one of my favourite moments when i saw in the heights live last year. people were so confused when all the lights went down it was so funny cause i knew about it & i guess most of them didn't lol. my favourite lyrics:

okay so first of all, los bunkers (the band i just linked) is a must listen, they're from chile and have had relatively good success. afaik (i don't know much abt the technical aspects of music but i have nerd friends who do) their melodies are p simple but they're good. i recommend the album i linked the most (La Culpa, 2003) but you can find some bangers under Vida de Perros (2005), which i'm gonna link below

another chilean must-listen is los prisioneros, which is a band of relative mundial success, they're more 90's than straight 2000's but honestly it's worth checking. i'm gonna link the 2000's album which is Los Prisioneros too ... but honestly i urge you to listen to Corazones, Pateando Piedras or La Cultura de La Basura (80's-90's)

you really can't talk about spanish rock without mentioning gustavo cerati or soda stereo. soda stereo is a must generally, check out Nada personal ! but for more 2000's vibes you must go for cerati's personal songs. a good album example is Bocanada, with Ahí Vamos being a close second. argentinean icon, never not missed.

maná is a clasic rock band, and their lbum Amar es combatir (2006) is sosooooososo good. labios compartidos is a song anyone in latam will sing with their whole chest and that's about as much of a vouch i can give (and if you want to cry you should listen En el Muelle de San Blás)

another good rec is Babasónicos, with their album Infame (2003) the best rec i can give you. iconic af!! alt rock is a fav of mine, tho i can't give vouches for anything else of them my bad

URL-Songs: Rules: Pick a song for every letter of your url and tag that many people. Let's be honest, this is impossible. I am incredibly indecisive and am that person with the weird music taste. I have absolutely no idea about fresh new songs. And I am indecisive, I wont make it with just one. Can I do three per letter?

L - ok, See here it starts, I found 126 songs starting with the letter L on my playlist. This game is cruel for French music! How should I pick one?? Closing my eyes... La mer est calme. This one calms me down instantly, I have used it to fall asleep (usually dont use music but earplugs for that) when I had headaches. It's just very calming. Also did I mention that I love the sea? Ok, so I will stay with that theme for this letter, there is also Le chant des sirènes and Land of opportunity ("I'm sailing away..." so yes fits with the ocean ones and yes there would be more "la chanson de la mer" etc. but I have to leave it at this I think)

A - only found 11 songs with A! Yay, an easier decision! I'll go with Antarctica, A white demon love song (because vampires. yes, this is the twilight soundtrack), and April come she will (not including "Andante" because I already mentioned that I love Abba, but I want to mention how gay I felt when Lily James was singing that one in Mamma Mia 2. Also not mentioning either of the "Autumn leaves" songs, because one is actually a poem that I love mostly for the lyrics and the other one is nice but not a fav)

V - time for... Vampire! I will also include Viva la Vida for @lilolilyr because we sang it together and it's a great song. And to bring it to three, there is also Voler de nuit because I can't not include Calogero. In total there were 8 songs starting with the letter V in my playlist.

E - Elle a les yeux revolver, Elle me dit (MIKA!! and yes, the orchestra version) and Expectations (yes, Juno soundtrack) by Belle and Sebastian (which is funny because I have to pull myself together not to add the whole soundtrack of a film called Belle et Sébastien).

N - This is hard! There are only 15 songs with that letter but it's hard! But maybe I should switch languages for a change? I listen to very, very few German songs but the Wise Guys are great. I was late to the party and discovered them at the last concert they gave before splitting up but here is Nur für dich. I also like N’importe quoi and Ne m'appelle pas. Honorably gay mention: Not worth hiding and No place in heaven (ne me qu---quuu-quiiiiiiii----tte pas ma chère letter N! there are so many songs starting with you... ok, ok I am cheating. But this game is hard!)

D - I think I am giving up at trying to stay in line. I have already missed one opening for a song for my very favorite album of all times, so here is Dans les Prisons de Nantes. I also haven't included the Dubliners yet so here is Dirty old Town. I also love Dead Flowers and haven't mentioned Coeur de Pirate yet. For the Germans on here, Deutsche Bahn is a must-know. We all know why. Also haven't mentioned Grand Corps malade so here is Dimanche soir. Nooooo, don't stop me now, there is so many more with the letter D! Ok I am cheating again but help, this is hard!!

E - Elle me manque déjà, Eblouie par la nuit and En chantant (yep, going for that soundtrack version by Louane. It's just very cute)

L - L! The hardest letter again! Looks like my Liability is decision making! If only I could put Lucky Number Nine (9) songs for each letter! Let's get lost in music together!

H - I have to admit that I am a Christmas Grinch. And yet. Here is Happy X-mas, the war is over by John Lennon. I love that song and will never forget how my very musical educated sister sang along to it, suddenly asking "what means 'fear'?" when she was little. It's one of the best Christmas memories I have. I can't say that it's my favorite Christmas song, because those are all classical and in a good part in latin, but it always makes me feel better. There is also Happy Together, which I will always associate with the film Imagine Me And You and therefor love. Aaaand, I don't know, 20 more, so let's just randomly pick Hexagone.

U - Un été française, Un jour au mauvais endroit and Under my thumb (to get the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack in here)? Decisions are hard. Why am I doing this to myself?

M - My alltime favorite song is Ma Bretagne quand Elle pleut. It's silly but it answers the longing in my heart that only the rain in Brittany can and I love the personification and the love in that song. Since it's the same album - though a different language is Mna Na H-Eireann, so I am not counting it extra. This now makes me think of Mermaids (wow such a new, popular song) and Mr. Blue Sky.

M - Mr. Big Stuff, Ma liberté de penser, and Mon Amant de St Jean/Mitternachsnacht bei IKEA orrrr one of the 30 others on the list.

E - Eugene, I feel like this is a good place to add a gay-mention: Everyone is gay. It might be silly but I did take comfort in it when I was figuring things out of for the first time. And this is The End of the Line, I suppose.

L - Not quite the end, there is still Le Portrait, Les Tzars and I'll just Leave out all the Rest. Just one more for @lilolilyr because I had an earworm from this when we met and couldn't properly sing it to you to show you so- L'effect papillon. There is so many more but here is the Last Party and I'll stop.

Ok, now I still have to tag people. When He Sees Me - From the Waitress OBC recording Honestly, this whole musical has been on repeat the last couple of months. If I feel stuck and really have to get off my arse and DO stuff and be EFFICIENT, then putting on Waitress is often enough to kickstart the process. Highly recommend if you need to get shit done. When He Sees Me is my fav song from the album, it's funny and it suits my voice for singing along

Svenska 2 - Laleh This one's in Swedish. It's about growing up in Sweden as an immigrant and how you can make it even if you're not the best in school etc. Very catchy <3

Song for Zula - Phosphorescent Full of emotion. Gives me big Dream of the Endless feels.

La Jeune Fille en Feu (Bande originale du film) - Para One, Arthur Simonini Also known as THAT song from Portrait of a Woman on Fire. Fucking amazing. The effect of all the voices gradually joining together in that discordant way, and you're not even sure you're hearing anything until you realise that yeah, you do - and then BAM there's the actual chord and the clapping starts and the singing and aaah. The rhythms, the harmonies, the high notes floating over the chanting.... Fuck, man. I hope I might get to sing it with a choir some day. Goosebumps!

LOL yeah, there's no escaping the Infamous obsession. I played it sometime late April and i haven't been able to think of anything else since lol It's already shaping up to be one of my favourite IFs.

Ahh thank you so much, you're too kind 🥰 Kinda struggled to decide how i wanted Salomé to be and what i wanted for her but i'm satisfied so far with what i came up with. Tho some things are still subject to change and others are in progress.

So sorry in advance because this got long and also for my messy rambling!

Salomé Jackson is her real name, which she also uses as her stage name. I know i want a middle name for her but i still haven't found the perfect one. Her mother is latina with middle eastern roots and her father white american (french and irish origins).

Salomé is the frontwoman of Fatal Flaw. She is an avid reader and was always interested in Greek Mythology so that's the reason she (and Seven) chose that as a name. Plus it just sounded cool lol

Fatal Flaw's an alternative rock band, think The Neighborhood, Willow Smith, Arctic Monkeys, Beabadoobee, L'Arc-en-ciel (a japanese rock band) type of songs. I have not come up with their album or most popular song names yet, although i have some lyrics written down.

Even tho she's really into it because she loves music and singing, she also enjoys being loved and recognized (she's... love starved thanks to her parents, so the celebrity life kinda gives her the love she longs for) and she's working hard to make a name for her band.

Seven is her ex and she's absolutely not over him. The fight and the breakup impacted her BADLY. That was like such a turnpoint in her life. Seven really was her everything; she loved him so much and thought he was her forever, so him not being around anymore completely turned her life upside down. It also increased her abandonment issues which were already there thanks to her parents again, and as such she's become more wary of hurting ppl she loves and actually started trying harder to please everyone, specifically her band members which she considers family.

That's one of the reasons she's been trying her hardest not to make the band about herself, and actually let the others get their shine too. Also one of the reasons she chose to share the bus with Soft Violence, for Rowan's sake (the other reason being her somehow still wanting to be in Seven's vicinity even tho that would do nothing but hurt her). I don't wanna call her a ppl pleaser per se but...

Salomé also has a crush on her role model Griffin Reign. It's just an innocent (for now) crush one might get on their fav celebrity. Absolutely no worries of it becoming smth more, not at all. It would be wrong... and well, she just could never like him that way (lies).

Salomé smokes, drinks and does drugs. I wouldn't say she's addicted to any of the three but her using depends on her mood. It did increase after her breakup with Seven (tho she only got into drugs after it) but she's been trying to pace herself lately with her participation in BOTB. She needs to be responsible about it and doesn't wanna screw things up for her band.

Currently reading: I’m reading a bunch of things for my master about movies, tv series and monster’s concepts. But when I don’t do my master, I’m reading the fifth volume of The Witcher. 

I live in Canada and I’m speaking French (it’s my first language), so I read some Quebec writers; currently I’m reading Roux clair naturel of Fanie Demeule. It’s about a girl that construct her entire identity on a lie; she’s not naturally a ginger. The character is obsessed to keep that secret down but she’s feeling guilty about it and she develop an identity crisis. It is beautifully written.

Hello again, hehe. For The Horror and the Wild album ask game, 12 and 15?

For the 12: What song do you always sing along with?

I'm not going to be original, but it's definitly the song Fair. Whatever I'm doing (most likely writing my master that doesnt want to be finished) I wil stop myself and just sing peacefully the lyrics. They help me to calm myself and to believe that I will share one day a love like this with someone. It encapsulate the certainty of a tomorrow (something an anxious girl like me crave everyday).

For the 15: If you could recommend only one THATW song to your followers, what would it be?

I would certainly recommend That Unwanted Animal for the extraordinary performance of Madeleine Hyland. She have an incredible strenght and sensitivity in that song (that she have in all the songs of that album and others) but it's really remarquable in that one. Her voice is ethereal and splendid in it. And the song is really good and, in my point of vue, talks of another way of the anxiety and the depression that Joey and Madeleine talk in Farewell Wanderlust. The one coming from within that you didn't suspect was there but wait the most unexpected moment to eat you alive, destroying you and everyone you love and adore.

4. What song from Love Run do you always sing along with? for the album ask game. :)

Again, that's a tough one! I sing along all of them (or more particularly, part of them). Doing lipsync on the ''Fuck you'' in ''New York Torch song'' with a mask in a public bus is one of the best thing to do ever (you all have to try it someday). But if i have to choose one song that I always sing along, it would be Love/Run. I sing the whole eight minutes with my heart and my soul - when Joey sing the first Unemployed, my knees go weaks...

The melody and the lyrics are juste soooo fine! It's the promise for adventures, for fun, for lazy day without culpabilities, for love, for dead, for life, for everything. That the only thing worth to move, to do something, is LOVE.

For the 2 : What song from Love Run gradually grew on you?

I would say Little Miss Why So.

I don't know really why, but at the first listening, I didn't understand the song. In fact, I didn't see where the song was in the story of these humans, what she meant for the two of them, what she was saying about them, about their relationship, about their past, present and future.

It's been only a few weeks that I really, but really listened to the lyrics and saw what that song meant for the protagonists in the vague and vast story of them that I made up (even that story change with time, with my endlessly listening of these songs).

For the 18: If you could pick one Love Run song to watch performed live, what would it be?

Oh my god! It's so difficult to choose! Like is it even possible to choose between one?

I would like to see King be performed just for that line, that I found absolutely beautifully written and sang:

The sea and its waters , every unwanted daughter (is that you're here)

Or even for the whole performance that must be to listen in live of New York Torch Song. Or even just for the comfort of listening Not Yet-Love Run in live.

1. Fade and then Return - William Fitzsimmons

(Duh. I've been listening SO MUCH to him recently... There's something mesmerizing to his voice, I won't accept criticism).

2. Ça Arrive – Corneille

(French song for once, I can't believe it's getting that old... So hopeful, it's about AIDS and despair but... Yet, hopeful, I love it.).

3. Marie's Wedding – The High Kings

(Irish folk song I believe? It's catchy, enters an ear then DOESN'T LEAVE my head for a while. Plus it brings instant joy).

4. The Armstrong Case – Patrick Doyle

(If the above song is instant joy, this air is instant melancholy. It gutted me the first time I heard it in Kenneth Branagh's Orient express, but sometimes you need those emotions. Plus, Doyle often produces really sick soundtrack).

5. Vienna - Billy Joel

(Song I related to A LOT in my teens, and I still feel somewhat comforted by decades later. After hope, joy, and melancholy... Here's peace. Plus, I like Billy Joel).

6. Yalla – Calogero

(French song, my ultimate power song when I need to let go. No Elsa or Arendelle for me. Just a fellow left handed guy singing an homage to Sister Emmanuelle. It works everytime though).

7. Kathy's song – Eva Cassidy

(This is perhaps my favorite song of all time, but certainly a fav from my Paul Simon devotion soundtrack. Yet Eva's voice makes it even more soothing, so yeah, the cover it is).

8. Sifflez en travaillant – Blanche-Neige OST

(Whistle while you work in French because I'm nothing if not predictable. See the avatar? My gran used to make me sing this when she cleaned before I could even walk. Now I whistle on my own, I assume).

9. Troublemaker – Akon

(My early interest for Akon makes little sense. I don't like this kind of music, or the swag, for I'm NOT the demographic and I heard the guy is problematic besides... Yet, first seconds and I'm drawn in all the same).

10. A l'heure qu'il est – Lynda Lemay

(French Canadian Songwriter Lemay has written and interpreted tenfold of songs that are spot on. But the older I get, the more this one stands out, maybe the longing? The melody? While thankfully not relatable for me, the songs stays).
