i love him. hes such a stinky nasty gremlin boy and i have thought about him too much tbh. hes my favourite bnha chara, if it aint obvious with the copious amount of dabi shit thats been rbed onto this blog and the fact that dabi appears in almost all my bnha fics. but yes. hes an awesome funky wee devil man. i want him to get away with all his crimes. go kingggg.

ah fuck haha. um, i dont know if this is an unpopular opinion bc frankly i forget whats popular and whats not haha thanks adhd. im blaming this on my adhd and not pure ignorance lollll (let me have this pls omg) but i disagree with a lot of dabi characterisation i see. i think this is because i like aus and more mellow/down-to-earth themes but i see dabi as this a lot quieter chara than i often see in fan media. like, not as attention seeking or, well, as annoying? like i feel like he keeps to himself a lot—not to say he doesnt have outbursts bc like. wow man. his emotions are very much like his quirk use. and it hurts him more than it hurts anyone else. um damn im trying to think what other opinions i have? but yeah im terrible at coming up with things off the top of my head. literally head empty no thots unless ive been reminded of something and then again its like. be there or miss that rant lol. i have terrible memory <3

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

oh backstory. definitely backstory. oK THIS MIGHT BE AN UNPOPULAR OPINION but i kind of didnt really like how his backstory was revealed and things. i think this was also the time i was kind of dropping off from bnha so the added disappointment kind of...just fuelled me to be even less invested.

um, im actually trying to remember what it exactly was but tbh i cant. i remember not liking some of his lines and just...the way he was framed sometimes. i think it might have been this glamorisation of enji at points—but im not too sure now bc i cant remember what i was thinking, only what i felt in those moments. soz </3

oh!! i think—and this was like, purely something unrealistic but just a hope/something i thought would be nice—some hints/a few connections and things with other charas when dabi was younger. this could be my dabihawks heart but like. esp w hawks. even if it was just something in the background but i love it when theres like this tiny thread of omg theyre all interconnected and theyve always been there or something. its one of my favourite things in media to see at the end (esp when i can trace it to the beginning and be like!! omg!! LOOK! THERES ALWAYS BEEN SIGNS!!) but yeah. something like that would have been awesome—whether it be with hawks or anyone else. but i feel like hawks would have been the most likely.

oh wait aaa sorry this is getting so long but i think i wished dabi had a better attitude towards his family and esp siblings. i mean, i get it. i understand that he was just replicating a very bad example of how to be a person, but yeah :( made me very :(((

aaa thank you for the ask. whomp whomp everything for this AU has been mostly brain bunnies for a while and not a lot of writing but I’m excited to sit down and write over November holidays heheh So. I am sorry this is stupidly long

💕 what has your favorite scene been?

Oh man. I don’t even know jajaja I suppose the one that I had the most sort of RABIDLY MUST DO THIS feelings over was Blondie and Lupe meeting in the third chapter of ttyplo but the easiest to write was definitely the tucoeyes chapter? And maybe my soppy favorite is writing the backstory for how Tuco met each one of them in the final one because. I like meetcutes but I’m bad at writing them so I don’t JAJAJA.

💞: which future scene are you looking forward to writing?

ANGST ANGST ANGST I am very excited to. work on the OG universe fic I have a lot of ideas that I kind of accidentally buried in the comments of a post instead of actually posting them lol here is a quote from that rant which is conveniently about a scene I really wanna write!!

“I have this really vivid scene of them just right after they've met again and Tuco needs an excuse to see her (+ as a parallel to the portraits in the modern AU) he asks her to paint a retablo to thank the saints for Blondie deciding to let him live and like. that's how the subject of Gay is introduced dsjafk It's a whole thing I suppose”

onto which I would like to add like... I just love Tuco’s vaguely desperate extraversion and how easily that can get fucky after he gets the money so he’s just sort of having to buy people off and feeling shitty about it and here’s a scenario where, after being rejected by his brother within the events of the OG film he’s trying to see if it’ll work for the specific realm of family but ends up just. Forming an actual connection and even getting a new context through which to evaluate his preexisting connection w Blondie and yeah. That.

I’m also tooling around with whether or not to have some language shenanigans between them? bc I love projecting hardcore on Tuco and having him kinda suck at spanish might be interesting but I don’t think that’s gonna make it in lol

for the modern AU fic I’m excited to write Blondie being a decently-adjusted smartass! I only got a moment in from the first chapter of ttyplo so. I’m very excited. And also I really wanna add a stupid joke into the epilogue but I’m starting to realize it’s gonna need a translation note because it’s kind of a weirdly nuanced latam dick joke that isn’t really a dick joke but it is a dick joke? so that’s fun.

Yeah, it seems a lot of people misconstrued many things on Good Omens without really taking into consideration how much it means to other people. Like for me? Lovely example of aces trying to figure their shit out with Aziraphale, AT LEAST FOR ME. And even as someone who isn’t genderfluid/enby, even I can see that Crowley was NOT played for laughs at all. I was SO FUCKING HAPPY when Nanny Ashtoreth came on screen and I was like “OH!!!!!” and then I found this post here that confirmed that yes, they are indeed genderfluid, just Aziraphale is content as he is, whereas Crowley is exactly like a genderfluid person, and I think that’s so beautiful.

Good Omens has something for everyone, and it’s just… so nice. Like I know some people think it’s queerbaiting, and I can SEE why they think that, especially after every fucking show on the planet has seemed to let people down, but the more you watch it, the more I see myself in a character like Aziraphale, while maybe a gay person may see themselves in him, and I think that’s fantastic. See, I see the A/C dynamic as a good representation of ace relationships (loving people so much without the need for sex), while others see it as Every Gay Person’s Journey Ever. It’s endless.

Everyone is so quick to judge in this blame culture, and empathy has gone out the window. It saddens me. I hope your partner gains a bit of empathy and upon further rewatches they will come to see that no, it WASN’T played for laughs at all. Especially since, you know, it’s fucking actual biblical / mythological canon that angels are genderless. So. There’s that, LOL.

➤STRENGTHS: determined, perseverant (is that even a word?), passionate, relentless, protective, observant, straightforward (usually ends up insulting people though, so it's more of a weakness tbh), goal-oriented, independent, self-reliant, has enough self-awareness to not go off on weeb/otaku interests in front of most people, but if it's like a "smart" anime, she'll discuss it (like Death Note, she's not gonna fucking admit to still loving Naruto at this age, shut up), diligent, loyal, a bad bitch (lol, not so much, but she likes being perceived as a strong girl who can and will stab you with her stiletto. the image only lasts for a few seconds, she more just comes off as rude).

➤WEAKNESSES: stubborn, very blunt, which tends to come off as brash and rude, though she's not always intending to be mean, despite that rude, blunt nature, she's also a bit tsundere, and struggles admitting her to deeper feelings. Gets flustered when complimented (outside of sports, there she's fine 'cause I'm the best bitches, or so she says), and she just can't admit it when she needs someone, whether it be a friend or romantic interest, especially if it's a romantic interest, 'cause she's also of the mind of who needs a boyfriend when there's food? while she's observant when it comes to changes in people's behaviour, she in general lacks the capacity to act well on her observations, and is awkward when trying to comfort someone or cheer them up. When it comes to her own feels, part from rage, annoyance, or "Jock Mode", she can barely admit to them, let alone discuss them with other. Speaking of "Jock Mode", she is competitive AF, somewhat dismissive (this usually only comes out in games, but she tends to ignore weaker opponents in search of stronger ones who pose a challenge). Also tends to display some arrogance in the sports she's most talented it, particularly volleyball. It's not quite a personality flaw, but she's weak for loving parents, or just a loving family in general (in life and when watching movies, it makes her fucking cry every time, which really puts a damper on her tough girl image, it's not usually a visible one, but she can't hide the longing in her face when she watches a parent and their child being a normal, happy family). Definitely has tunnel-vision, once she has a goal in sight, that's all she sees. Can even be paired down to dumb things, like C-grade trashy alien movies. She tends to notice only the aliens and revel in their destruction, while ignoring everything else, including the plot. Has plenty of issues; abandonment, trust, ptsd - none of which she is dealing with. She's just ignoring it and hopes it goes away once she becomes a cool, reliable adult™️ (lol, good luck that, adult life is a lie).

➤SHORT BIO: Katarina is half-Brazillian, half-Russian, though she is under the assumption that she is Romanian, she is biological the daughter of Vasily Raevsky, a Russian Oligarch, and Xuxa Amalia Reis Moreno, a Brazilian businesswoman and all round bad bitch. For reasons unknown to her, Katarina was in effect abandoned at birth and placed in a Romanian orphanage in Brăila, which is also presumed to be her birthplace. Her birth certificate lists both parents as unknown, the orphanage named her. Having no parents or known family, and raised in an orphanage has given Kat many self-reliant skills, and allows her to live independently, but it has also left her with a deep sense of loneliness (not to mention PTSD 'cause Romanian Orphan life is a nightmare). She recognizes that much of her yearning is still childish fantasy, and often covers up that desire with her brash nature or jock hobbies.

Growing up in the orphanage was... not easy. The Brăila Home for Children was not the best, to say the least. Though it could've been worse (*shudders at the case of the Sighetu Marmației institution for disabled children* - do better Romania, oh my god). The orphanage was under and poorly staffed. They would often neglect and abuse the children, one year shaving every childs head so they all looked the same, and often chaining rowdy children to their beds. During Katarina's time, many of her fellow orphans died from minor illness or injuries such as cataracts or anemia, which were treated poorly or simply ignored, and a number also starved to death. Because of this, Katarina has a habit of hoarding food, and keeping snacks under her pillow. She also has difficulty sharing, and despises headboards that are railed(? the ones with gaps, idk what to call them).

When she was around eleven, the orphanage received ample anonymous donations, leading to much improvement, and the arrival of a new Director, Ileana Cojocaru, who, over time, earned the trust of Kat and her fellow orphans, and became something of a surrogate mother. Ileana did a nearly complete staff overturn (fun side note, some of the staff, especially those who harmed Kat have gone missing in the past few years, coincidence? no), as well as hiring accomplished childcare professionals from all over the world to help the children. It was Ileana who sparked Kat's, or rather Rina as Ileana called her, interest in sports, though Ileana was more into football herself, she encourage Kat to explore whatever she wanted, though particularly team sports so that Kat could foster dependent relations. Kat herself particularly enjoyed volleyball, joining a little league team and winning a number of competitions. Due to her skill both in setting and spiking, she usually plays in the Opposite Hitter position.

Katarina entered EHS in Highschool, on what she assumed to be the Elite's scholarship program, arranged by Ileana, who even said as such, though in truth, her entry and tuition are all being handled by an anonymous benefactor. This fact was revealed to Kat last summer after Ileana died (of p̶l̶o̶t̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ cancer), whose lawyer was put in charge of the bank accounts meant to pay for all of Kat's needs. The lawyer refused to divulge whom the anonymous benefactor is, citing a non-disclosure clause, though the need to discover who has given Kat a whole new mission in life.

➤FAMILY: On Katarina's part, she doesn't believe she has one, though she does consider Ileana to be her family, and has grown to care somewhat about her fellow orphans from the Brăila Home, while growing up they were rivals struggling to survive. Ileana's death devastated her, and she's dealing with it by straight up ignoring it. Lol, I'm not sad, my eyes are just glistening with the ghosts of my past.

Biologically, despite her complete lack of knowledge of it, Kat comes from rather a rather illustrious family. Her mother, Xuxa Amalia Reis Moreno, is a Brazilian Businesswoman, herself the daughter of a self-made millionaire, Xuxa is expanded the Moreno parent company, MC Inc., an oil and mineral company in origin, into numerous side ventures, owning and operating businesses ranging from restaurants to magazines and clothing lines. Her father meanwhile, Vasily Raevsky, is of the (former) noble House of Raevsky, now oligarchs in modern-day Russia, who virtually control Russia's diamond and precious stone industry, currently owning controlling shares of ALROSA, the largest diamond mining company in Russia, and accounting for 95% of the countries diamond production, as well as 27% of the global diamond extraction, and the House of Fabergé, which they purchased after the fall of the Soviet Union. If she remained in the care of either of her parents, her name would technically be Katarina Vasilyevna Moreno Raevskaya, which is a fun and utterly useless fact.

Her parents met at a rich people conference (idk, Davos or some shit like that) and engaged in a short lived affair. Her father was already married and could not accept her, and her mother had no interest in being a mother at all, let alone a single one, leading to them choosing to give her up in Romania, an arbitrary choice that fucked her up, lol.

Via her father, she has an elder brother, Viktor Vasilyevich Raevsky, who is in fact her anonymous benefactor. Viktor discovered her existence after Vasily had an accident and was close to death, so he confessed his sins and what not. Viktor eventually tracked her down and sought to improve her life. Though he wants to bring her into the family, he doesn't for the sake of his mother who cannot deal with the affair, though she refuses to divorce Vasily for appearances sake.

okay i know zyx is going to get a lot of shit for saying what he said about people who haven’t trained for a long time coming on the show to gain popularity but i have to admit that it’s true

companies probably saw how successful s1 was and how many groups were able to debut after it and are sending so many of their new trainees to gain exposure

i can understand why he’s so frustrated because his generation and generations before that were people who would be trainees for like 4+ years and fighting for years beyond that for their first stage and with this program it’s just made it so much easier for people who haven’t had any training at all to get their first stage and debut afterwards with their company

zhang pd is pissed off oh damn

ngl their performance wasn’t that great i will admit but they have potential it just might not be the right place for them to train whilst on a survival show

and what he said about showing your respect for the stage and telling them why you want to be a star was all fair enough and tbh some of their answers weren’t the best

okay some people are pissed off about what he said about people all wanting to be rappers but having to be singers first

maybe s1 wasn’t the best in terms of the debuting group and vocals and rappers all getting A grade

but at least in s2 it’s changed and he’s addressing the fact that people who want to debut in a boy’s group can’t actually sing to begin with and just want to rap their way through

to be in a boy’s group you really need to want it you need to be passionate about your future and you need to first of all love what you do
