Episode 128 - 7.02 Hello, Cruel World
And boy is it ever cruel! The subtitle there refers to the plot climax of this one, but also to season seven as a whole. The entire thing is built on pain being the key to reality, and doesn't that just suck! Like, massively! It sucks for Sam, it sucks for Dean, and it sucks for all of us! But we shall endure. :'D
We lose Cas right at the start, and then Dean carries his coat away like a widow leaving a soldier's funeral with a flag, and that sets the stage for his grief and guilt for the first long segment of the season. Meanwhile, Sam's just not coping well with his smashed walls and resurfacing Hell trauma, and using Dean's technique of repressing and denying is really, really not working for him.
So, bring on the pain and losses and gooey jerks who are this season's Big Bad-- a metaphor for capitalism. Wheee.

I cannot be normal about season 6 Dean Winchester fighting so desperately to believe in Castiel that he’s pushing back against Sam and Bobby, the two people he trusts most. Like—that’s HUGE. That Dean, who struggles to trust people, who has been trained not to, clings so tightly to his belief in Cas, and so obviously not only feels betrayed, but hurt when Bobby and Sam are proven right. I cannot be normal about the fact that, after everything that goes down, after Cas has betrayed them and lied to them and led to evil being unleashed on the world, 7.02 Dean pulls his trenchcoat out of the lake and carries it with him as he travels, mourning his lost friend.
Dean, who has been deeply betrayed, who does not trust easily and forgives even less easily, still clings to what he has left of Cas, and still forgives him when he comes back, even before he’s fixed his mistakes.

sam is so soggy at the start of season 7... it's driving me crazy (i want to hurt him)
also dean's whole speech at the end of 7.02 is fucking nuts. what's with him telling sam to use him as his entire foundation for reality. using a wound he sewed up to ground sam in reality and prove that he's not just in his head. positioning himself as a tether to the earth to keep sam from floating away. the only anchor sam has when his own mind is turned against him. he takes on the entire burden of sam's reality without even blinking. i'm going to be sick

is it homophobic that cas isn't in most of season 7 or would it have been more homophobic if he was a season regular

Ugh, that post about Mooshy getting the respect he "deserves" on GK made me cringe so hard. Normally OP's posts are enjoyable since they're a rare Destiel shipper who calls out the Hellers' BS, but clearly they've fallen for the "poor widdle abused Misha" lies hard. IDK about the rest of TPTB, but Moosh owes his entire career post-7.02 Hello, Cruel World to his friendship with Singer, since he has neither the talent nor work ethic to justify being kept on as a series regular for so long. 1/3
He stayed on after being demoted because he knew he couldn't get a decent role on his own--not because he cared about Castiel or his fans other than as sources of attention and money. He was paid a fraction of what J2 made because he put in a fraction of the work they did--he appeared in barely 50% of the episodes and 25% of the screentime. For the episodes he was in, he usually only had to show up for 1-2 days of filming (out of 8 days per episode), and often for just a few hours each day. 2/3
TPTB did try to give Mooshy bigger storylines, but his terrible work as Casifer, AU!Cas, and Empty!Cas showed that he didn't have the talent to carry them--for which he has only himself to blame for phoning in his acting. And I call BS on Moosh being "forced" to stand around for hours in the heat since we know he's a lying liar who lies--he had a presumably climate-controlled trailer to wait in until he was needed. All that whining was simply more BS to get sympathy from his gullible minions. 3/3

(re)
Poor wittle mishmash was treated so badly on SPN that he had to leave.
Oh wait.
YES. His ‘buddy’ Singer bought his ungrateful ass back to the show because nobody was going to hand him a role without an audition.
AND if the working conditions were so bad, why are we NOW hearing about it?
But to be honest, his EARLY Not!Castiels (The End, French Mistake, Jimmy) were actually great characters.
But once he got job security with his return, thanks to Singer, he stopped caring about his job.
