also while i’m on my john wick text posts vibe i have to express that i genuinely hate so many of the fan theories about and wishlists for john’s storylines because they’re so often completely antithetical to the entire ethos of the franchise. i’m painting with a broad brush here and this mainly applies to reddit, but people speculating that john’s wife was actually a member / is related to someone who is a member of the high table is so fucking BORING! it is infinitely more impactful and central to john’s entire motivation for wanting to be free of his obligation to the table that helen be a Regular Person. someone who is completely separate from his life as John Wick, Baba Yaga, The Boogeyman, etc.; this is reflected in the way john tells winston that he wants his headstone to read “loving husband”!!! positing that helen would in any way be connected not only to the assassin underworld but to the creators and enforcers of the rules that govern that world itself strips all of that of its meaning and poignance and directly cheapens and undermines john’s desperate moves to get out.

or other people wanting john to have an actual family or sister or someone else who is blood related to him and is (again) connected to the table… did we watch the same franchise! did we both see how heavily chapter 3 emphasized that john was an orphan, was taken in and trained and molded into who he is by the ruska roma! did we both see how his lack of family and belonging and meaning outside of anything other than death and killing before helen make her (and, by extension, daisy’s) death all the more devastating and catalyzing for him being pulled back into the world! i feels like i’m taking crazy pills!!!!

i just wanna be like. the Marvelization of movies and tv has rotted your brains. your brains are nothing but multiverses and twist reveals and surprise endings and you have no concept or capability of enjoying a character and a story that are situated in the extensive and vast lore of a world that goes deeper (not wider) with every sequel and that is sincere with its characters. this is me to these people

Romance On Set

pairing: bill skarsgard x actress!reader (3rd person pov)

summary: bill and his co-star laura are filming a love scene for their new movie, and they partake in an interview on premiere night

wc: ~1.5k

warnings: slight sexual tones in the beginning; please let me know if there's anything else i need to add

"Ready on set,” the director said, immediately being welcomed by silence from the cast and crew as Bill and Laura got into place for their scene and prepared for the director’s next words.

“And…action!”

Currently filming their new movie, Bill began reciting his lines, and Laura looked at him with admiration, her eyes following his movements closely. As he reached out to touch her, she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She stood up slowly, her body tense with anticipation.

Bill’s hand reached out to the back of Laura’s head, gently pulling her hair as he leaned in to kiss her. Her eyes fluttered closed as she leaned into the kiss, her body responding to Bill’s touch. She could feel the heat of his body against hers, and her heart raced with excitement.

As they parted, Laura looked up at Bill, her eyes shining with desire. Bill’s gaze locked onto hers, and she could feel the intensity of his stare. In that moment, she knew that their chemistry was real.

As they kissed once more, Laura felt Bill’s hands roaming her body, sending shivers down her spine. She began to pull on his shirt, causing him to break apart from her briefly as he pulled his shirt over his head, Laura’s eyes transfixed by the sight of his sculpted chest. He pushed her backwards onto the bed before climbing over her, and the movement caused her foot to hit the frame of the bed, and she let out a quiet gasp of surprise as he hovered over her.

“Are you okay?” He leaned down to discreetly whisper in her ear since he knew her little noise wasn’t part of the script, and she giggled her reassurance to him as she tried to stay in character, placing a hand around the back of his neck as their lips met again. Bill then wrapped his hand around her leg, guiding it to wrap around him, gently running his hand back over it after he did so, and Laura followed suit with her other leg. She could feel the heat of his body against hers, and her heart raced with desire.

As the director called for a break, Laura looked up at Bill, feeling a sense of connection between them that went beyond the script. She knew that their chemistry was real, and she couldn’t wait to explore it further.

“Cut! Great job guys, everybody take five. Laura, is your foot okay?”

Bill and Laura untangled themselves from each other and walked over to the director to speak with him.

“Oh yeah, I’m okay. It barely hit the bed,” she responded with a smile. The director nodded in relief at her as Bill then looked over at her.

“Yeah, you’re a real pro,” he joked.

“Hey if you think about it, it was your fault. You pushed me,” she pointed her thumb at him in soft laughter.

“It was in the script!” He gently shoved her arm, causing her to almost lose her balance, and she used her arm to do the same to him before she wrapped her arms around him in a hug with a smile, him doing the same to her.

“Okay you two, go grab some water and get back into place so we can finish the scene out,” the director smiled as he got up to get his own refreshments.

A few moments later, they were back in position awaiting the director’s next words.

Months later, Laura and Bill arrived in their car at the premiere of their long-awaited new movie. He stepped out first and turned around, holding his hand out for Laura to take as she stepped out of the vehicle. As they began walking the carpet, he leaned over to kiss her cheek as she wrapped an arm around his.

They spent a while after the showing of the movie walking around, having multiple interviews, greeting and hugging their friends and having their photos taken as they went. Another interviewer had soon walked up to them; she was a well-known entertainment reporter, known for asking some tough and intimate questions. They were excited for another opportunity to talk about the movie they worked so hard on, however they were nervous for what she might ask.

“Hello Bill, hello Laura, it’s so great to see you both here tonight,” she smiled and looked the both of them in the eye as she talked.

“Hi! We’re so glad to be here,” Laura responded, the two co-stars smiling back at her.

“Let me ask you both, how do you feel that your new project was shown for the first time tonight?” the interviewer began.

“It was amazing,” Bill spoke up. “We had a lot of fun on set, and we and the crew and director put in a lot of hard work for this movie to be out. We’re so happy that everyone was able to see it tonight, and we’re excited for it to be shared with the rest of the world soon.”

“We’re absolutely over the moon about it, yeah. We’re very proud of this project and can’t wait for everyone else to see it,” Laura added.

“So Bill, what was it like working with Laura on this film?” the interviewer continued.

Bill smiled, feeling a rush of warmth and fondness for his co-star, who smiled up at him at the question. “Oh, she’s incredible. She’s such a talented actress and so easy to work with. We had a great time on set together.”

The interviewer leaned in a bit closer to them both, looking intrigued. “And what about the love scene? I heard it was pretty intense. What was it like filming that together?”

They knew this question was coming, but they felt their cheeks flush regardless as they tried to keep their composure.

“It was definitely one of the more challenging scenes to film, but Bill made it so easy. He’s such a professional and a gentleman and he made sure I felt comfortable and safe every step of the way; I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better scene partner,” Laura answered, a sweet smile on her face.

The host nodded, looking impressed. “And what about your relationship off-screen? Is there anything going on between the two of you?”

The pair quickly looked at each other, silently asking how they were going to answer this question. Filming had been over for a while and after a long conversation and a few kisses over dinner once filming wrapped, the pair decided to begin a relationship together. They just weren’t sure if they wanted the world to know just yet, so they decided to answer as vaguely as possible for now.

“Well, Laura and I have a great working relationship, and we’re very close. We enjoy spending time together and we have a lot of respect for each other.”

The interviewer nodded, not entirely satisfied with a non straightforward answer, but accepting that she wasn’t going to get one tonight. “Well it certainly seems like you two have great chemistry on and off screen. And congratulations on the film - I’ve heard nothing but good things about it all night!” She thanked the two for their time and they thanked her for the praise on their movie, and as the interview came to a close, the pair decided to head out for the night.

After stepping back into their vehicle, Laura threw her legs on Bill’s lap, causing him to chuckle at her.

“I meant what I said tonight,” she told him. He hummed in response, telling her to continue. “I really couldn’t have done it with anyone else…even though anyone else probably wouldn’t have hurt my foot.” She pursed her lips to wait for his reaction, placing a hand on his shoulder to laugh as he looked at her.

He chuckled along with her, deciding to compliment her with a shake of his head instead of joking back. “You are so beautiful.” He grabs her leg with one hand, using the other to hold her chin and he presses a long and gentle kiss to her lips.

The kiss lasted longer than either of them expected, and they pulled back, smiling at each other.

“I can’t believe we just did all that,” Laura said, giggling.

“What, kiss?” Bill smiled playfully.

“No, the interviews,” she replied, rolling her eyes. “I thought I was going to have a heart attack with that last one.”

Bill laughed, pulling her even closer to him. “You were amazing, as always. You handled it like a pro.”

Laura leaned her head on his shoulder, sighing contentedly. “I’m just glad it’s over. Now we can go back to my place and relax.”

The two drive off to Laura’s, their future uncertain but their love for each other undeniable.

EXCLUSIVE from Deadline: Robert Eggers’ long-awaited new take on the Nosferatu is gaining some serious momentum as sources tell Deadline that Bill Skarsgard is attached to play the titular character and Lily-Rose Depp is in talks to co-star. The pic now is set up at Focus Features, with Eggers directing and penning the script.

In the new reimagining, the pic is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgård) who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him. Focus had no comment on the project.

After The Northman bowed earlier this year, Eggers started looking at other projects but always had his eye on coming back to the gothic tale and once Focus came aboard he officially made it his next film and began meeting with talent. Skarsgard has been loosely attached to play Eggers’ new take on the 19th Century monster going back to when he was developing the project with Styles and Taylor-Joy and quickly got Skarsgård to slot the pic into his schedule before it got filled up.

Skarsgård is coming off his hit horror pic Barbarian, which he also exec produced. He has a busy 2023 coming up that includes the Netflix thriller Boy Kills World and John Wick: Chapter 4. He is also attached to star in The Crow reboot that Rupert Sanders is directing.
