Winx Club Reboot Ideas Pt.2

Season 2 & 3 Ideas

Season 2:

Stella is still trying to get better with her own magic without the help if her staff/ring.

Helia becomes a student at Alfea, since he didn’t feel like being a specialist suited him.

Tecna and Timmy do get closer, he begins to help her try to get better at her and the winx’s fighting. It takes a long time though, Tecna keeps insisting that she works alone and doesn’t need help, especially after her and her team failed to do convergence magic.

It isn’t until the camping trip fiasco in season 2 that Tecna finally opens up to Timmy after he nearly faced death. After that he helps her improve her craft, their still not together but they are getting there.

Flora earns her charmix by asking Helia out.

The more comfortable Xan is becoming with the Winx, the more he’s experimenting with his gender and even music. His regained love of music eventually leads to the girls going behind his back and signing him up as the entertainment for a school event,, resulting in the storyline of season 2 episode 15 (original), where Xan does a concert even without his dad’s permission and sings about his mother…oh yeah and Stormy’s in the mix somewhere.

Keeping Aisha’s story/character arc is the same because goddamn was that well done!

Xan and Aisha become CLOSE! Not romantically,their platonic soulmates as they put it.

Show more of Dark Bloom. The more stressed out, tired and even angry she starts becoming to find her true identity, the more potential Dark Bloom has to take over.

In the end, Octavia takes an interest in improving her skills, she begins to research and study different mechanics, devices and movements to be a better combatant.

Riven and Xan’s relationship is even more scattered than last season,

Xan and Riven come to the conclusion that they wouldn’t work as a couple with how messed up both of their lives have been, they need someone who can balance out their troubles. They may not be together, but both know that doesn’t mean they won’t be friends.

Season 3:

Octavia begins to find an interest in weaponry and quickly decides to see how she can use her powers to the advantage of weapons.

Xan comes to realize and accept that he is genderfluid.

The whole reason why Diaspro has been so desperate to marry Sky is because she wants what’s best for her people, even though her parents have insisted it’s fine, she took it upon herself to remove herself form the picture and focus on her people.

Introduce Nabu the same way, with the girls getting hot chocolate in the rain, but instead of him STILL following Aisha in the rocket...park... garage...thing- have him enroll in Alfea not just to find out who Aisha is, but to get away from his family and do what he’s always wanted to do with his magic.

Aisha and Nabu actually don’t become a couple (stalking is usually a turn off for the norm), but they do form a strong friendship, and start to from their own little friend group with Xan and later on Riven.

This..Is where Xan and Nabu start to grow feelings for each other. And Aisha tries to help Xan ask him out, as Riven, while uncomfortable with genuinely communicating with others does try to help Nabu since he knows Xan deserves someone as sweet as Nabu.

The reason why Diaspro joins Valtor’s side is because offers to spare her people form his wrath if she joins his side, she even agrees to hypnotize Sky because she felt if he joined Valtor’s side then she could spare the people of Eraklyon as well.

Octavia dies her hair the iconic magenta OG Tecna has.

Helia earns his charmix through telling Flora that he loves her.

After they find/rescue Octavia thanks to Timmy’s determination, the two nerds finally start going out.

Mirta gains her charmix through finally trusting Lucy.

Have a more climatic finale, with Bloom going all out on Valtor only for her get so blinded by anger she doesn;t know if she actually killed him or if he just vanished.

All in all, I want the fist three seasons do have differences, but still keep those elements that kept fan watching it, but don’t worry, the next seasons are gonna have the same level of care the first three seasons had...But they’re gonna be DIFFERENT.

I want a fanfic where Stella is pushed to use moon magic. Now I know what you're thinking "She does, they are just reflective spells because the moon reflects the sun's light." I know, but what if you took it further... the moon has a dark side, half of the moon is always shrouded in darkness. We know Stella as the fairy of the shining sun, but she is also fairy of the moon and I think it could've been shown in a more profound way. In season 2, I think this could've been showcased when Stella loses energy because she is no longer in sunlight. I think that moment would've pushed her to rely on the powers that comes from the dark, a place where no light touches. In my imagination, this would affect the way her transformations look until she can learn to not be afraid of the darkness her power has. When using the darker moon spells (think shadows or spheres of darkness) her transformation would be darker in color not quite black, but far from the bright colors we are used to.

If anyone know a story like this or is interested in writing it, please let me know.

I loved this series growing up. Fate was ... meh... and I prefer the older series to the newer ones. World of Winx is good, but as the old person that I am, the older series is more my cup of tea.

Winx Club Fairy Transformations (Enchantix)

//And here we are with more fairy redesigns for my upcoming project that I still haven’t named. A big change is going to be that the achievement of Enchantix is not going to be the so-called final exam at Alfea because that’s kinda counterintuitive. It is a ‘special’ graduation requirement though due to it demonstrating a readiness for a deeper connection to the fairy’s individual power source.

Enchantix in order of achievement ›

General Rule › Outfit is related to the respective fairy's personality; wing shape and colour is related to power-set, and very large (allows for higher altitude flight); all Enchantix have transluscent elbow-length gloves that match wing colour, soleless sandals that match wing colour and power theme, and a choker holding their fairy dust; hair accessories are generally clips that match power theme unless the fairy is a princess

Aisha (Sacrificing a cure for a curse in order to save Queen Ligea) ›

Green leotard with a lime green ruffled ballet tutu and matching ruffled bolero

Sandals are decorated with Morphix chips shaped like discs

Wings are blue and shaped to emulate waves with pink tips

Winx Reboot Ideas Pt.1

(Please note: This would be with my dream cast if it was live action)

Some of the characters names would change:

Tecna-Octavia (Via)

Flora-Kimber

Season 1 Ideas (not many changes actually, season 1 was pretty consistent):

Stella and Bloom are a day late to the beginning of Sophomore year at Alfea, the first day was the day Stella met Bloom in the woods of Gardenia.

Give Bloom more of her 4kids personality, mixed with a bit of her World of Winx personality. Have it be that she got into fights at school and because of that got suspended often.

Octavia and Kimber get along the least since their such opposites when it comes to showing emotions.

The final straw between the two is when one of Kimber’s magic seeds entangles Octavia in their closet. After a bit of arguing, Kimber can’t take it anymore and decides to go to the swamp to study for her test.

Hence where episode 11 comes in, only instead of Bloom and Octavia saving the day it’s Kimber and Octavia,

Domino is still very well known in the magical dimension, since it was only destroyed 16 years ago, which is no where near long enough to be forgotten to history.

Xan and Stella actually form a bond near the middle of the season as he begins to experiment with his gender, luckily Stella is there to help.

One night, when Bloom is on the porch flirting with Sky in the middle of the night, Xan gets so fed up with their cheesiness he uses a small sound wave to shut the door, purposely locking Bloom on the porch.

During the tests, it’s revealed Flora (right now) is the most powerful student but doesn’t seem to see it as a big deal and instead thinks everyone is just as powerful in their own ways…needles to say she’s quite popular.

Stella FAILS her test (screw you Ms. Magic episode, no one likes you), which leads to her question how often she uses her family’s magic (ring/staff of solaria for example) instead of her own.

Xan keeps the projection thing of his mom on a ring (looks less goofy and more meaningful since it shows how close he was to her).

The winx actually get in trouble for causing such a ruckus at the specialists tournament not just with Bloom fighting Diaspro, but revealing prince Sky and Brandon’s true identities, and even sneaking around the walls of the tournament. Needless to say their magic gets taken away.

The other winx try to play it off and act normal, but they can’t even look at Bloom, at least not until she leaves Alfea.

The rest of season one’s hijinks ensue, since it’s actually really well done. Timmy and Via don’t hook up just yet, as the season goes on, they do go from awkward small talk to talking about video games non-stop whenever they see each other.

Riven and Xan’s relation is just as messy as it in the first season of the original…if not more.

They do hangout a bit more in than in the original, Xan even discovers Riven used to play violin to which he delightfully teases him about ‘til Riven plays it surprisingly well for him.

The main problem is Riven hasn't fully accepted his sexuality yet, and because of that whenever he feels like he’s getting TOO close to Xan, he pushed both himself and Xan away aggressively. This is why Xan gets so depressed when he sees Riven with Darcy at the bar in Magix.

Why Stella should not have been rebranded as the Fairy of the Shining Sun

After nearly a year, I have finally decided to write a second part to my previous post in which I said I was not a fan of the writers rebranding Stella as the Fairy of the Shining Sun.

To start, let's first take a look at her family background. Her parents are the King and Queen of Solaria—the proverbial sun and the moon. It is apparent from their distinct color palettes and the origins of their names that they represent the sun and the moon. Stella, with her original title as the Fairy of the Sun and the Moon, naturally has qualities and powers from both her parents. To take away her moon powers would be a disservice to her character, as it means taking a piece of her identity away.

While I subscribe to the idea of her having access to solar and lunar powers, I don't mind her lunar powers being secondary to her sun powers. Here's why.

Her moon-based spells, which she rarely uses, tend to be more defensive and tamer than her sun-based spells. (3.14, 3.26) For someone like her, who is bold and daring, and prefers offensive tactics over defensive ones, it makes sense that she would lean more toward using her combative solar powers. (1.21) It's what comes naturally to her.

Her relationship with her father, despite the neglectful behavior of both her parents, appears affectionate. (3.19) I like to think her strong connection with her father and home planet is in part why she prefers and is more in tune with using her solar powers than her lunar powers.

There is some debate over whether or not she should have a secondary power, with some suggesting that she would be too powerful if she had two powers. I disagree.

Her powers make narrative sense when you think of them from the standpoint of light rather than separate celestial bodies. In technical terms, moonlight is reflected sunlight. These two are not separate. In a way, her solar and lunar powers are essentially the same, just in different fonts.

It would be logical for her powers to be influenced by the level of light in her surroundings, allowing her to draw either from solar or lunar energy. We already know from canon that she becomes weak and powerless in the absence of sunlight. (2.04) In such situations, her lunar powers could become activated. This limits her abilities and prevents her from becoming too powerful.

Recall that one of the motifs regarding her character development is the use of mirrors. It serves as a symbol of her personal growth and self-awareness, particularly in seasons two and three. In 2.21, she earns a mirror-shaped pendant for being vulnerable and sharing her feelings of loneliness. In 3.04, she breaks her curse by realizing her beauty isn't skin deep. Every time she reflects on her life and grows as a person, there is a reflective item (the lake, the pendant) present. If we consider that the moon reflects the sun and acts like a mirror, we can interpret her mirror-based spells to have an indirect relation to her lunar abilities.

To be fair, her mirror spells could easily have a category of their own as the moon is not exactly like a mirror in its reflectivity power; the moon only reflects about 3–12% of the sunlight, while a mirror typically reflects anything between 70%–99.9%. However, based on the fact that the sun produces its light, whereas the moon and mirror do not, we can conclude that her mirror spells are more likely to fall under the moon category than the sun category.

From a narrative standpoint, it seems the writers had no idea what to do with her lunar side. It's likely why they changed her title and erased almost every trace of her lunar side, including the blue accents in her transformation outfits. It's a shame because there are so many ways they could have explored her moon powers in the later seasons, but no; instead, we get the displeasure of witnessing her turning into a toddler, putting fairy animals in silly costumes, and wearing an atrocious salad dress to the stage for everyone in the audience to mock. Which, for the record, she would absolutely never wear.

"You're the best friend, right? From Eraklyon?" Y/N pointed to the tall specialist leaning against the wall. He turned his brown eyes towards Y/N and smiled. Sky had told him about his old childhood friend back on his home planet. The guy he grew up with. Almost like brothers.

He nods and smiles. "Brandon."

"Y/N."

"Right. The umm... Changeling boyfriend?"

"Well, that's one way to describe me." Y/N chuckles.

"I'll be honest. I never imagined that Sky would bat for both teams. I always thought that he was straight and narrow. You must be something special to him to give up a princess for you." Brandon said.

Y/N blushed and looked down, seeing Stella chatting with Terra and Flora about something. He looks at Brandon. "Speaking of princesses, you seem to be smitten with the Fairy of the Shining Sun and Moon."

Brandon shrugged his shoulders. "What can I say? I've always thought that she was gorgeous. Even as kids."

So, in the process of trying to get my partner into one of my childhood favorites, Winx Club, the brain gremlins took hold of me and I am now in the process of creating a rewrite. Not the entirety of canon, but definitely the first three seasons and throwing in some extra stuff from other seasons that I really enjoyed as well as some of my own personal flair.

That being said, a rewrite obviously has to come with redesigns and I have literally just finished up everyone's first transformation

Layla, or Aisha, is up first! I did really enjoy her original design (honestly, they're all wonderful) but it just wasn't going to work for my AU. Considering she's from a planet that is dominated by water, as well as being related to actual mermaids, I absolutely had to add in more mermaid traits. So we have wings that look and act similar to dorsal fins in the water which makes her an exceptionally fast swimmer, almost on par with her cousins. Then, of course, I had to include shells in there. The shells that function as her heels are angel wing shells and a horn snail shell.

Musa, oh Musa. Her original was lovely but it just didn't have enough punk inspiration. Luckily I was more than happy to provide a little in the form of shorts and a half skirt on top of wonderful boots with buckles. I did keep the sheer centerpiece though because I really wanted to pay some respect to the original. Also, and this is just my personal opinion, space buns are superior. My shining glory of this design has to be the wings, though. The bass clefs are wonderful but to top it all off I had to add the CD shine. It was a necessity. Also, if you haven't noticed the fact that her arm accessories mirror Layla/Aisha's, now is the time to notice. SoundWave will be a thing in this AU.

Flora needed more green! She deserves a little green considering she's a nature fairy and how else would I incorporate it other than vines? Especially considering she uses vine attacks all the time! Also that rose inspired skirt was a pain to do but so worth it. If anyone deserves a rose skirt, it's Flora.

While I do love Tecna, her original always felt like it was missing something so, after some scrolling through sci-fi stuff, I added the cropped jacket to it and more green for her as well. The ear piece actually extends into a helmet with a retractable visor, I'll probably post another image with it on full display another time.

Another thing to add is that there is a criminal shortage of Flora x Tecna content to the point that I haven't even seen a fun little ship name for them. So, I'll just be using BioTech.

Getting right into Stella's redesign, starting with the wings! I did like her original wings but with her being the fairy of the sun I kind of just spread them out similar to the way rays of light look. As for her outfit, I really wanted to add onto the ethereal kind of look with gorgeous drapery similar to what you see in depictions of goddesses but with a modern twist! Hence the underbust and other additions.

Bloom but much more draconian. As she deserved considering she's the keeper of the dragon fire. Dragon wings. Dragon scales. Need I say more? Yes, actually. Her boots are more armor like, which was fun but not the best part. The silver chains, the necklace, the gemstones. They're made to be a mirror to Stella's because SolarFlare is absolutely iconic. They deserve each other so much and it is my mission to highlight this fact.

I have so much planned for this AU. So many ideas that I've already noted down and places I want to go with this, I can't wait to get started.

And I literally just realized that this AU needs an actual name, so I'm going to go with Psyche. The reasons why will become clear later. 💜
