Colourblindness and Low Vision

Games can use different ways to help people with colourblindness, one is by having different colourblind mode options that targets specific types of colourblindness, such as: tritanopia, deuteranopia, and protanopia.

A second way that game designers make it more accessible is by letting the player choose which colours they would like for things such as health bars or team colours. A third way is that they put symblos on certain colours, so that the symbol always matches up with the same colour.

Game developers can help people with low vision by changing the size of something such as the font size during subtitles or in the menus. They can also make it so the players can change the contrast, to make it easier to distinguish between the backround and foreground for example.
