Tamagotchi MixingMeet Info

MixingMeet(link to site) is a helpful app that is a fan recreation of the official Tamagotchi On App. There are often many questions that people want to know about so thought I'd give some info for anyone interested. These are just ones I know enough to answer, you will need to join the discord server for some stuff.(Especially since you need to join to get the app anyway)

Some of these might be obvious but it's good to just mention it just in case. I just thought I'd give info in case someone wants to know what they're getting into when getting the app & joining the server.

Info on the app(like how the mix won't work on it)

Info on what to do on Discord & some channels in the server you'll need or might need

Info on version of android used & some examples of devices that do & don't work(not many examples but just naming stuff I'm aware of)

A section of questions you might want to know

A few things you need to know first are that MixingMeets is based on the On app so it's based on the English version not the Japanese one. That is not the version that was preserved, due to this any features that involved the Mix are not available. The Tamagotchi Meet & Tamagotchi On work just not the Tamagotchi Mix.

You will have to go to the discord & download from the channel called "🎮│download", instructions are in "❓│faq" but I'm also pretty sure there are videos that explain how to do this as well. There is also a channel old android phones(older than 7.1.1) & a channel for Google Pixel 7 or later cause of 64bits stuff.(There is a download for this version of the app & you can talk in the channel if you need help) There's also a channel were it's all in Japanese if you need to ask something in Japanese instead of English.

As long as the device has Android 4.4 or higher then it should be able to use the app. Some newer devices supposedly don't work with the app so be careful with what you buy to use this app. It's best to just look for a cheap android device with android 4.4 or higher if all else fails.

>Does this work on ios/will this come to ios?

This is android only, the people working on this have no plans to make an ios version & they legally can't put it on the app store especially since this is a fan revival of an official app that Bandai owns the rights to

>The game at the Tama Depa Shop crashed when I was suppose to get my points

The game is known to do that & I don't think there's a way to fix it. Your score will be counted though, if you want to play the game without it crashing there's a reskin of it in the main menu/home area if you press "Family Play" it doesn't freeze at the end

>Can I make an account/where is my ID & password?

No the app makes one for you(if you delete the app & reinstall it or put it on another device it gives you a new one), just go to settings then check profile & click on your character's talking bubble.(Tamagotchi On ID) Password is in "Challenge" on the home menu(scroll to the bottom), you put these in on the MixingMeet website. The account is only used for keeping track of your family trees & your TamaDex.(Something just for fun to track what genes you got from the Tamagotchi available on the app)

>Can I transfer my account?

You are unable to transfer your account from one device to the other. The app will make you a new account on the new device & there's not much that can be done. You can still link your discord to both accounts though which I dunno if that helps past knowing which accounts belong to this person.

>Can I request certain characters?

The people working on it & the Discord Mods have mentioned they aren't accepting requests. Tamagotchi available are ones from the stations & from contests on the official app. Characters from Magic & Fairy are considered common so aren't showing up, Sanrio & Wonder Garden/Fantasy tamas were in a contest at some point(at least according to one answer) plus it's hard to get some of the devices so they're on the app. I might be off but this is from what I know from some stuff

>Someone rejected my proposal

Sometimes there's an error or someone was unable to answer quick enough. Just try again & if they reject you again try someone else.

>I'm having connection issues

Make sure bluetooth & locations are on. If that isn't the issue you might need to try reconnecting a few times cause sometimes you need to try again. If that doesn't work then ask someone on the discord server cause they can help you better.

>How do I tell if someone is an NPC?

You can check their family tree & if it's blank then they're an NPC. Users' tamas have a thing above them that shows the amount of likes they get while in the app.(The likes don't stay, likes, friends lists & saved tamas don't stay when you go into the app next)

>Do the NPCs change?

They change every 2 hours, you can check on the MixingMeets website.(Don't need to login to check) You can also see all the available tamas at the bottom of the same page.

>Do you know what the app works on?

I only added this to make one bit above more cleaned up. Keep in mind I don't know phones so I'm going off info. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 works, Retroid Pocket 3+ works but do not buy it if you only want it for this app. Someone asked about Samsung s24 but I guess it's a newer phone cause someone that knows better said the app doesn't work properly on newer phones. Someone mentioned Nexus 7 work but take that with a grain of salt. Kindle Fire does not work, some people tried to see if it'd work but someone said it didn't work.

Fan-Made Tamagotchi Meets & On App ‘Mixing Meets’ Now Available!

Missing the Tamagotchi Meets, and more recently Tamagotchi On app? Have no fear, a substitute is here. We’ve heard whispers throughout the community for months, and now it has been released! Several key members of the Tamagotchi community got together to archive and reengineer the Tamagotchi Meets and On app to ensure it could be used once the applications were shutdown from Bandai.

MixingMeets, the fan-made Tamagotchi Meets and On application is now open to the public. The application will take the experience to the next level with more features, and even more characters! At this time there are over 90 marriage characters, a live town feature to let you know who is online, and a profile feature to help you keep track of genetics throughout the generations.

There's an official website for the application where you can learn more about it here. The application is running on custom servers compatible with the existing application client, with slight modifications. It’s important to note that the creators of the application are not affiliated with Bandai or any particular company. The project is free, no fees of any kind of paid services are part of it. Donations are being accepted, and there is a link on their website.

The MixingMeets application is only available for Android devices at this time, and can only be obtained by downloading an APK file and installing the application on your device, not through a traditional application store such as the Google Play store. The link for the APK is exclusively on their Discord channel, under the download channel.

Izuru Kira:

Yes. Absolutely. He’s been waiting for you to join the pool since the moment your model leaked. He joined the fanfiction contest to win your merch (and loses). The rush of joy from hearing your voice line when he pulls you brings tears to his eyes and he absolutely ignores how concerning that is.

Akon:

He will and he’ll shamelessy whale. He’s too busy to farm currency and it’s not like he’s strapped for cash. 100% he’s working on a VR model of you as soon as you’re announced. You’re always on the team no matter how useless you are on a given mission or level because he loves a challenge.

Shuhei Hisagi:

He blames the fuck out of Izuru and Akon for getting him addicted to the game—and worse, excited about a bunch of pixels. But he is, so excited. He joins the fanfiction contest for you (and wins). And he sacrifices half a week of lunches to pull you. Your phone charm is proudly displayed. He is wrangled into even more debt to Urahara for the merch conversion.

Rangiku Matsumoto:

She saw Shuhei’s phone charm, thought it was really cute, and loves the idea of a phone game to pass the time during all the time passing she does on the clock. She gets you on her first pull and shows Shuhei. “Look, it’s just like your cute little phone charm!” Her rng luck is so insane that both Shuhei and Izuru have her pull for them (it doesn’t rub off).

Nanao Ise:

Although she very much did not appreciate Rangiku downloading a game on her phone, she did give it a chance. In secret. Facing away from any windows. She doesn’t care much for the gacha aspect, but finds the game play passable. She diligently does her dailies & events and that’s it. It’s alright stress relief. You go unpulled.

Shunsui Kyoraku:

Shunsui easily finds his way into Nanao’s phone and discovers your game sitting right next to a shogi app. He downloads it and is delighted by all the characters! He doesn’t understand how to play but skids through the tutorial. He pulls for you, fails, and doesn’t understand how to pay for currency. He does take a screenshot of you and ask Nanao ‘Let me borrow them from you!’ He barely escapes alive.

Harribel Tier:

Shunsui flaunts your game around in their monthly Peace meeting and she demands an upgraded soul phone. Much like Shunsui, she doesn’t understand the game. But she wants to pull for you. Her three adjuchas bicker endlessly over small print until they figure out how to pull and the most effective way to pull in consideration to chance percentages. She treats you like a tamagotchi (that needs no care and doesn’t die).

Started using the Finch app since apparently it’s especially good for neurodivergence when it comes to habit tracking and mood diary keeping, the stuff that will please my therapist.

Maybe the trick for my ADHD ass to do a chore is to give me a birb tamagotchi, name her Sprinkles and reward me with hats she can wear. Will it work long-term unlike so many other habit apps I’ve tried for a few weeks then dropped? i’m hoping i have money next month when the tamagotchi uni comes out. it looks really cute and i’m soooo glad they went back to regular buttons and basically abandoned all the gimmicky shit from the pix. the “tama verse” sounds like an in-device version of the meets app, not sure if i prefer that over a mobile app, will have to see how it plays. i also LOVE that it’s rechargeable, my On eats aaa’s like no ones business. i also really hope they eventually come out w/ a sanrio uni, tho i’m almost certain they will bc they’ve released sooooo many sanrio pets over the years. the TRUE miracle would be an english language sanrio tama.

Tamagotchi On Location 4

I got this yesterday but had stuff going on so didn't get to posting this

I unlocked the salon, also got a new menu design but due to limits(10 pics per post on mobile app) I can't show everything. It's not a big deal cause it's text over a white screen.

Wanted to show Sweettchi changing colors for this to work. I mostly just turned her white with ice cream & turned her pink again with peaches I got from Mixing Meet.

Ice cream took a bit cause she was full, interesting how most snacks count towards the hunger meter cause snacks usually only count towards the happiness meter.

Peaches on the other hand didn't affect the hunger meter which after dealing with the other snacks surprised me.

Bandai Teases Upcoming Tamagotchi Uni Tamaverse Features

We love an update, and it looks like the next update is going to introduce some new features other than just a new Tama Arena event. Bandai Japan and US have just recently shared on their social media profiles that the next update is going to have three new features that they’re excited about, and these two features remind us of the beloved Tamagotchi Meets/On app.

In the next update, you’ll be able to send hearts to Tamagotchi characters in the Tamaverse! Plus, there will be a new way to greet each other! Based on the screenshots provided, it looks like you’ll be able to set your own greetings.

Third is a new way to connect! Bandai Japan and US have teased that the new update will add a new way to connect and play with your friends!

Can’t wait for the next update, which we anticipate should be out next week.

first post :)

this blog was created for three main reasons:

1- the my meets app is ending soon, so i want to record all my precious memories of playing in there, as well as my tama lineage (since the app is ending and the device can only remember the last 16 gens, theres no way to keep track of it anymore)

2- im currently in my 24th or 25th gen, and i cant possibly keep remembering their names anymore. not even the app records it!

3- my phone has no space left so i cant keep taking all those pictures and videos forever, unless i upload them somewhere

This is mainly a blog for myself, sort of like a tamagotchi diary

Hello again! Let’s jump right in with generation 18 this time. You’re up first, Hinamitchi!

Luckily for me, she turned out just as cute as the teen stage! Though the body type is proving persistent, I don’t mind this combo at all.

The past few gens have been a lot of me thinking I finally understand how traits get passed down, only to be wrong in one way or another...but the frosting hair wasn’t a surprise at all! Not once I noticed that one parent and one grandparent on each side had it.

Even so, I kinda feel like this was an ambitious pairing on my part! ^^; But recently I’ve wanted a jellyfish tama...maybe this time it’ll happen?

Princitchi takes a bit more closely after the Pompomtchi and Memetchi ancestry on the Magical, though...

Thank goodness for that! The difference in hair means the actual eyes get to show! A major improvement from last gen, even if it’s a small one.

That said? The pompom head without the pompoms is not what I expected. Are those horns or something? I don’t get it...

Speaking of unexpected: He paired up with this cute tama in Tama Party! I was online at a time when there weren’t many tamas around. So I said, “If I make a match with someone, I’ll go through with it, as long as it isn’t a guest tama!” And somehow this happened the very first round Princitchi did. I think they look good together though! :)

Meanwhile, on the Sanrio, Frostitchi has grown up too...

...into a very cute little puffball. Again, no floppy ears, but I do like the flower crown and the pet! (which I keep forgetting is Pompompurin’s so I can just get it whenever -_-; )

Amount of surprise at ending up with Lovelitchi body again: very tiny. (not to say that I wasn’t disappointed for a second there...change is fun, give me new overall looks please!)

Last but not least, Rabuhimetchi! 

It’s kinda interesting to have two different tamas that are basically the same base, but so different in accessories. I’m looking forward to seeing what changes with their kids.

On that note: lots of cute twins are incoming! And I’ve decided that at times like this, where all the pictures won’t fit, I’ll toss in some shorter posts with some of my favorite tama pics. Not on any set day or anything, just when the mood hits. It’s mostly because I take way more photos than I can fit in one post, but these weekly posts cover most of what I want to share about each gen.

Oh, one more thing! I finally got a bluetooth dongle, so somewhere in the future: myMeets content will show up on image-post-days, too. (no direct alterations on the tama, just items/games/wallpaper)
