I cannot write more than a sentence right now without getting distracted, so have this snippet:

He didn't have to lift his head or even just crack open an eye to know somebody was approaching, for his girlfriend, who he'd thought had fallen asleep half an hour ago, stirred suddenly, first just twitching fingers and a scrunched up nose, then turning around in his embrace fully, pressing a hand to the ground.

"Who is it?", he asked sleepily.

When she didn't reply, even after being poked gently, he sighed and blinked and the sun was brighter than he remembered, and Toph's elbow dug sharply into his chest when she propped herself up.

Teo grunted.

"Sorry", she said, and sat up fully.

Her fingers brushed over the bruised spot.

"'s alright. Would be better if you laid back down with me."

His voice close to a whine, anyway, he pushed forward his bottom lip in a pout until she started laughing, at which point the pout turned into a frown.

"Still can't see your puppy eyes", she chortled.

He dropped his arm over his face.

"I didn't forget."

"Sure you didn't."

Her eyes sparkled with mirth.

He turned his head away, not bothering to hide his smile.

Level 5: OTPs/pls be canon

Sokka - Tokka: As I’ve already mentioned, Tokka is one of my ultimate Avatar OTPs. Tophs crush on Sokka was just cute and I would always be interested to know just what it was that attracted her to him. Their dynamic was just great, but I also stan them as a Brotp too even though I wish they were canon.

Level 4: not an OTP, but I still support it

Satoru - Satoph: It was kind of a shock to see them pair her up with someone in the comics, but I guess Toph was gonna have to have some love interest at some point and Saotru was cute with her and I think they’d have a good run before breaking up, but the romance would be good for Toph.

Level 3: neutral ground

The Duke - The Doph: This was a bit of a random pairing but tbh I kind of see it happening when Toph and the Duke are much older, but only as a fling or something since I don’t really see much potential for that relationship.

Teo - Teoph: Another random pairing like The Doph but I see them having a fling or a short lived romance when they’re both older, but like The Doph I don’t really see much potential for them.

Level 2: Brotp

Azula - Azutoph: As I mentioned before, I think that once Azula’s cleared up her insanity that these two could become great friends

Aang - Taang: I can’t really understand the appeal of them romantically, since I see them better off as friends and I love their friendship dynamic.

Zuko - Toko: I’m salty that we never got a life changing field trip between these two because it would’ve been hilarious. I can only imagine the trouble they would’ve gotten up to together if Zuko had joined the Gaang at the end of book two so we were robbed of that.

Ty Lee: I don’t know what their ship name is but I liked their interactions in that one comic they had together since Ty Lee and Toph isn’t a pair that I would imagine to be friends but they surprised me

Level 1: Notp

Katara - Katoph: They can hardly tolerate each other as friends so I doubt any relationship between them would work

Suki - Tophuki: They didn’t really have many interactions during the show or anything like that so I couldn’t ship them together even if I tried. Plus, Toph liked Sokka anyways

sokkateo: the absolute best ship ever. i tricked myself into shipping it and now i cannot and will not ever stop. nerds, jocks, best friends, engineering buddies, mad scientists with no boundaries to lovers. best roommates in the hockey au honestly who cares about anything else i wanna write about them being friends even after sokka moves into the haus. canon-era canon-verse teo definitely had a crush on sokka, which sokka didnt reciprocate until later BUT HE DID RECIPROCATE. also they invented the car.

teoaang: happy-go-lucky flying boys. the most pure romance. they are so happy and so nice and they love each other so much. theyre gonna save the world by spreading joy and flying everywhere.

Ship that you have as an OTP: 🌹 I'm a multishipper, this is hard. I think it's a tossup between Azulaang or Taang. Maybe Taang, it's my first ATLA ship, has a special place in me.

Ship that you find cute but don’t ship: ✌ This is hard, I ship almost every ship I remember, and the ones I don't ship is definitely not "cute" Teoph, they can be cute, I saw some fanarts of them, but still it's Taang for me.

Ship that is unpopular but you still like: 💘 Azulaang I guess. I've seen some posts about people not liking this ship, but it's one of my favourites. Linzin too, people seem to like Kyalin more but Linzin is still 👌 to me.

I had a dream last night that Teo was Lin's father, but he died before she was born, so Toph gave her the Bei Fong name.

Since Toph would totally keep her last name, even in marriage. 

And then I dreamt that he was the one to design the Metal-Bending Police Force's uniform (like, the metal cord of bad-assery and such) and that he died in an experiment gone wrong.

This is the first time that a head canon that I've dreamed has actually made sense.

New head canon, and I'm sticking with it.

Is It Really Just Another Crush?

When Toph develops a crush on Teo, Sokka is the first to notice. At first he's weirded out about it...

But then he tells the whole Gaang.

The first person he tells is Aang, then he tells Katara, and Katara tells Zuko and Suki. Seeing the way Toph and Teo interact with each other is enough proof for them, and even Zuko gets in on it.

Now it's the Gaang's job to play cupid.
