꩜ Room Content: No specified character, no smut, fluff, just spending a slow morning together ꩜ A/N: Just had this small scene stuck in my head for a bit so I wrote it down!

The morning sunlight streams in through the kitchen window and diffuses a soft orange glow to the room. Set in their hands, is your cup, as they busy themselves with preparing your morning beverage of choice. 

Theirs is already done and the matching cup has earlier been set on the table where they usually sit. (They like to make yours second because then it’ll be justtt a little bit closer to the prepared temperature since it doesn’t have to sit out longer.)

Before long it’s done and they set it at your spot at the table. Settling in their seat, they take in the tranquillity of the slow morning. It’s quiet until they hear you making your way down the hallway to sit with them at the table.

“Hey there, did you rest well?” They crane their head over to look as you yawn.

You give a noncommittal hum, sleep still clinging to you.

“Well, hopefully you’ll sleep better tonight,” they say, pushing your cup closer to you.

It’s nice, the two of you starting the day together. Tenderly domestic. And maybe their heart does a little squeeze when they realise how syrupy sweet this all is, how lovely it is to be with you.

Slowly, gradually, the morning languidly ticks by.

And maybe someone has an errand to run, some quick task out of your shared home. The both of you find yourselves at the doorway.

“Love you, see you later,” you give them a chaste kiss on their cheek, smiling.

“Yeah,” their gaze flits over your features, and the corners of their eyes soften, “Yeah, love you too, see you later.”

OKAY! so this is definitely NOT a drabble. Try more like almost 700 words lollll. But here, have some Orym and Dorian feels!!

“Your hair is a mess,” Orym says suddenly one night early into their travels together, after a long day of trudging through tangled branches and trailing leaves. Dorian huffs, hating the reminder. 

“I know, I hate when it gets messy like this,” he grumbles, sitting down on the bed and starting to painstakingly separate twigs and leaves and tangled knots from his hair. Orym chuckles from the other side of the room as he takes off his armor. 

“Will always got so many leaves tangled in his hair, too, I always told him to cut it but he refused, so I always made him let me braid it for him. Whenever he tried it just fell out in five minutes,” he says softly, a small smile on his lips as he recalled his stubborn love. He looks up when Dorian makes a small sound of frustration at a particularly nasty tangle in his hair, and he laughs softly again. “Here, let me help.” 

“Oh! No that’s okay, you don’t–” Dorian tries to nonchalantly protest, but Orym just waved aside his protest like it’s nothing. And to Orym, he’s sure it truly is nothing. This is something kind to do for a friend, Dorian knows this. But he can’t help how he freezes in place when Orym sits behind him. He hates it, hates how quickly he’s transported back to being a child with his hair being yanked and pulled and painfully detangled without any care or thought. And he hates how easily Orym can read him. He feels the way Orym’s fingers still just before reaching his hair. 

“Dorian?” Orym asks softly, confusion and concern lacing his words. “Is this okay?” He asks carefully, and Dorian hates the way he feels right now. 

“I’m fine, it’s just… I don’t usually like… people touching my hair,” he explains lamely, knowing it’s not even remotely a fraction of what the real issue is but not really knowing what else to say. But Orym, gods bless him, somehow immediately understands. 

“I won’t hurt you,” Orym says so achingly gently, and Dorian somehow immediately trusts him. He forces his shoulders to relax, closing his eyes tight as Orym starts carefully detangling each individual strand of Dorian’s hair. It’s a surreal experience. Dorian’s never felt anybody handle his hair with such care and gentleness before. His mother had always demanded he cut it, to make the nannies’ lives easier, but Dorian could never bring himself to cut it. So his nursemaids and nannies, and sometimes his own mother, had simply taken their frustrations out on his hair. But Orym? Orym made it feel like this was a luxury. 

Dorian isn’t sure when Orym finishes detangling it, but eventually he realizes that Orym has started braiding his hair. Dorian is surprised, given the last time someone tried braiding his hair for him there was a lot more crying and yelling involved. Instead, Dorian notices Orym is humming happily under his breath, and he smells the light fragrance of flowers. 

“Do I smell flowers?” He asks suddenly, so thrown by the novelty of this that he can’t even stop it. Orym’s fingers still for a moment mid-braid, and he chuckles softly. 

“Oh, yeah. Sorry, old habits,” he says shyly. “I used to do this for Will and my sisters, i always druidcrafted some flowers into the braids,” he continues, and Dorian feels warm inside thinking about Orym doing the same thing for him he used to do for his family. 

“It’s okay, I like it. I just wasn’t expecting it,” Dorian assures him, and Orym continues humming softly as he continues braiding. Dorian lets himself relax even more, almost leaning back into Orym as he braids. He smiles to himself, listening to Orym humming a gentle melody and enjoying the way it feels to have his taken care of so well.  So this is what it feels like to have people who care about you, he thinks to himself. He finds he quite enjoys it.

I'm trying hard to focus on all this sweetness and fluff between Joel and Bambi, but the threat of what your mastermind has plotted for those two is behind me like a little daemon, lol!😳😅 A part of me wishes the chapters were all posted so I could rush through them, but a bigger part of me (the one sucker for angst) wants to slowly relish in your writing.

We got some Joel's POV! If his hair didn't already have white due to age and Ellie, after waking up alone, it sure would start to whiten. The part where he doesn't regret their intimacy but would if it meant Bambi would leave or stop talking to him broke me a little. He feels so much for Bambi! I love to read it! And Bambi, I love reading her thoughts. It makes it easier to connect with her and understand her. After talking about it and Bambi feeling more comfortable, I think she's just inches away from sleeping on top of Joel. Not that I think Joel would mind, lol!🤭 I'm giddy to see how their relationship grows.

And we got some Tommy! I love his bickering with Bambi and how Joel cannot keep up with them, too worried by being too flustered or trying not to die from choking by their forwardness.

I wonder if the hurt will come only from outside or if something between them will make it all worse. I really want to read the next chapter! Thanks for the update!♥️♥️♥️

OMG Hi Bestie!!

I do have some... plans for these two lollll I KNOW I'M SORRY I CAN'T JUST LET PEOPLE BE HAPPY! This is, in part, because I do love angst BUT I try to avoid angst for the sake of angst? There are some big things these characters need to resolve in order to actually be happy and be together. They're very real people to me (hopefully to you, too!) and they have histories and baggage and things they need to work through and move beyond. Ultimately, this story is about love, humanity and forgiveness and it will require some angst to tie it alllllll together.

And I know omfg poor Joel lol like bless this man! He's so sweet and patient and understanding and Bambi is trying soooo hard but sometimes trauma brain just nopes out and so does she. He's keeping it together, though! And you're right lol she was already getting really comfortable with sleeping next to Joel before they had sex. There was that stumbling block - she's got a lot of baggage, OK??? 😭 - but now that they've discussed things and she feels more of a sense of control, she's going to be on him like glue a LOT. He's a safe space for her and she doesn't have a lot of those. She's honestly kind of primed to lean on him a lot for that, for better or for worse 👀

I love putting Tommy in the role of chaos twin to Bambi lol Like pre-outbreak Tommy and Bambi would have been just ridiculously good friends, they would just play off each other so well and now that Bambi is coming back into herself after her decades of isolation and years of trauma, it's going to just grow from here. They're very sibling coded and I love writing that dynamic, it's such a special relationship.

When the hurt comes, I promise it will make sense. It may not be fun but it will make sense!

A/N: I have 700 headcanons about Eddie with a soccer prodigy gf (obvi has nothing to do with the fact that I played through my sophomore year of college) but let's be real I will probably only ever document like 3 lollll but here's one of 'em!!

You’re grabbing books out of your locker before first period and chatting with your boyfriend, who’s leaning on his side against the locker next to yours. Even with your gaze fixed in front of you, you can feel the intense warmth of his stare, the rapt adoration that glows in those big brown eyes of his.

God bless Mrs. McCarthy for putting you together as chem lab partners at the start of the year. Who knew that the introduction would lead to you both falling head over heels?

You're just about to shut the locker door when a ring-covered hand darts across you and stops it from closing.

“Do you have the other one with you?” Eddie asks, his free hand tugging at the sleeve of your uniform top.

"What, my other jersey?" you ask, confused.

Eddie nods and you tilt your head toward your gym bag.

"Yeah, I always have both on me in case I forget where the hell we’re playing."

“Excellent. Give it here,” Eddie commands, extending his hand.

“Why?”

Eddie ignores the question and immediately starts bouncing between his feet, opening and closing his fist.

“Gimmegimmegimmegimme!”

You roll your eyes at his standard dramatic antics, rummaging through your soccer bag and extracting your away jersey.

“Relax, relax, here!”

“Thanks, baby,” he says happily, uncrumpling it to examine its full length in front of him. Before you can even ask what he's doing, he’s yanked his Metallica t-shirt off, flung it at your face, and is now shrugging your jersey over his bare torso.

He tugs the fabric down, a snug fit that leaves just a hint of exposed skin right above the waistline of his dark jeans. Eddie fixes you with a wide grin.

“Soooo, how do I look?” he asks, twirling one curly lock between his fingers before his intentional doe-eyed expression morphs into an exagerrated growl as he flexes.

You giggle, utterly bemused.

“Did someone wake and bake this morning?”

Eddie abruptly stops his theatrical display, sliding one hand to your hip as the other tucks some stray hair behind your ear.

“No no no!" He’s all dimples as he beams at you. "Girls do this when their boyfriends have big games, right? 'Course I’m gonna do the same for you, gorgeous.”

“Seriously?! You’re adorable,” you reply, bringing your lips against his with a happy hum. You pull back and Eddie’s hands wrap around your waist, not wanting to let you go just yet.

“Who’d have thought, Eddie Munson participating in a conformist high school tradition,” you say, a mischievous grin on your face. “You must really like me.”

Eddie makes a concerned face.

“Oh, have I not made that obvious enough? My most sincere apologies.” You catch just a flash of a wolfish smirk before his mouth is on yours again, needy and claiming. His hands slide up from your waist to frame your face, and when you pull apart, you’re still left with butterflies. The starry look in his eyes tells you he feels the same.

“I do have to be completely straight with you though, princess, while I’m primarily doing this because you’re my favorite person on this planet, I also can’t wait to see the horrified looks on all the teachers' faces when they realize you voluntarily gave me this to wear and I didn’t steal it."

He rubs his hands together gleefully. "Especially Evans, God has she hated me ever since I spoiled everyone's reading of To Kill a Mockingbird by telling them how Bob Ewell bit the bullet."

You shake your head with a smile. “Why am I not surprised?" The bell rings and you give Eddie one last kiss before heading off in opposite directions. You glance over your shoulder, smiling at seeing your lucky number on his back, and smirk as you suddenly hear Eddie’s raised tones:

"Why YES, Mr. Brady, my all-star soccer queen of a girlfriend, Y/F/N Y/L/N, gave me the honor of wearing her jersey today as she mentally readies herself to kick some serious ass."

You get some playful comments from your friends who’ve seen Eddie striding proudly through the halls in your jersey (“First matching jerseys, then matching rings!”), and when chem rolls around, Eddie tells you all about the sweet satisfaction he found when Mrs. Evans did in fact have her mind blown by the fact that you two were dating. But your science teacher Mrs. McCarthy was the opposite of what Eddie had experienced, giving you both an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

The day flies by and as you head to Spanish, you chuckle as you see heads swivel in confusion when you and Eddie walk down the hall together in your matching shirts, the Hellfire Club president’s arm slung over the soccer captain’s shoulder. Suddenly, Eddie stops and flags Fred Benson down from across the hall.

"Benson, Benson! My dude, can you snap a picture of me and my girl here?"

"Uh, sure," Fred replies, fumbling with his camera.

"Perfect!" Eddie claps and turns to you. "C'mere, sweetheart."

Your surprised laugh echoes down the hall as he scoops you up in his arms, bridal style. "Say 'ready for a merciless defeat of the enemy!!'"

"Ready for a merciless- shit!" You break off because you're laughing too hard -- the kind of effect Eddie always has on you. You gaze up at your boyfriend, still giggling, and the hopelessly smitten smile he's giving you has your heartbeat humming on overdrive.

That's the moment Benson captures, and the developed picture eventually moves from a spot on Eddie's wall to a frame on the bookshelf in your first apartment together. A memory that reminds you both that, no matter what happens, you're always on each other's team.

Dear Crash,

I had too much for a reply on your post so I'm writing you here :) I tend to read other writers' fic either late at night or during the day (at work or in between life bs) and so I feel bad, because I don't usually take the time to really tell people how good their writing is, like specifically. But I want to be better, and I feel like if I'm not going to celebrate a 21K first chapter like Burin' a Hole, than what kind of person am I?

Did I know what the omegaverse was bf yesterday? No. In fact, and I mean this without judgement, but bc I have never really read this genre bf, I was a little unsure or wary of what to expect but I have read you other work so many times , that I just dove in. And then I reread it again. There were several things that I noticed reading it a second time, like the significance of having her be a make-up artist and the quote from Kitty, ugh, of course, because she is hiding who she is, the appeal of this career/interest makes so much sense. Elvis reading the mail when she comes to tell him she got another job. There were so many other things that just bowl me over with how much work you put into crafting this piece. The humor too - that Doner party gag, ahhhhh! Perry Mason wins, lollll!

And the way you build these characters, especially E and reader ! Muah, chef's kiss! I love the flipped expectations bf they present, I really appreciated that reader is not just using suppressants to save her father's reputation (bc I don't think that would be motivation enough), but because of her history with alphas, and having watched what her mother went through, and fear of abandonment, and the genuine fear of the intensity of being mated to one. I could see why she does what she does. One of my favorite passing vignettes is the image of Elvis holding up traffic trying to get her to come back to the show after they fight while she walks to the bus stop with a suitcase.

And, of course, the last part ... well, let's just say I have a feeling that section is now one of my go to comfort readings when I want to smile and shiver and be inspired in my own writing.

I'm probably fangirling out too much here, but I'll just end by saying thanks for your fucking brilliance and I'm so grateful I found your work! 21 K fucking words!!! I guess I'm an alpha!elvis stan now, which i never predicted by am so in to, picturing angry alpha austin elvis here....

Thank you so much ☺ I love to hear what people loved most about my pieces and I'm so happy to see when they pick up on those details!

When I started writing this one, there was so much to think about in terms of how the ABO dynamics interacted with the era. Which was a lot of fun to speculate on and at times also overwhelming TBH, but once I figured this out and the details within the request I was able to go from there. When I got the request the thought she was a makeup artist while also being someone who hides who she is was too good of detail to leave so happy to see you picked up on it. The humor was an important aspect to me to really showcase their friendship (what's a light threat of cannibalism between best friends lol).

That being said the build up of the relationship was one of the most crucial aspects to the story for me as to why of all the omegas that froth at the mouth over him, why reader? So them being friends since they were kids and being shaped by one another was something I really wanted to explore. Knowing how he was described as a kid, that definitely factored into how he was expected to present in this world, so reader had to be on the opposite end of that spectrum. Her being his most ardent supporter since the get-go, and basically being the extrovert that adopts the introvert was something I thought fit well into that why.

The readers motivations were also in the same vein of asking why not go for it? Especially making a bold reader, you're right on the money that saving her piece of shit father's reputation was her lowest priority. Fear of abandonement is something I think many people can relate to so the fact that in this world an abandoned mated omega going into heat oftentimes = death, doesn't help either. It doesn't help that the fact that her primary example for an A/O relationship fell apart so spectacularly and both parents to some degree laid the responsibility for it's destruction at her feet, and she unintentionally internalized alot of the blame and now believes that there is something inherently wrong with her.

Something I also had to take into account was why Elvis didn't go for it earlier either, and I can't believe I forgot to mention it in the story, but there is this idea (potentially false) that Alpha's tend to unintentionally injure Beta partners in the act which he would never want to risk (edit: as well as the very real fact that an A/B couple can't reproduce which of course is heavily stigmatized especially in this era). But just because the physical aspect wasn't there didn't mean he didn't view it as a relationship in all other ways, as in his mind for all other intents and purposes reader is his. He to a lesser extent was also traumatized seeing reader so emotionally effected by her situation, utterly unable to imagine how a mother could do that to her kid so he wanted to always keep her close to him. So when the reality that she is an omega comes to light and she wants to leave the temporary pain of a less than willing claiming bite is outweighed by the knowledge that with it she'll never be able to leave.

Believe it or not that vignette was a last minute edition, because I wanted to demonstrate readers near iron will to truly make the fact that she eventually just gives in to him all the more poignant.

I put alot of work into that final section, wanting to make it hot but also elevate it given the omegaverse setting so I'm honored to hear you feel inspired by it.

hii im just gonna throw my opinion in bcs !! i honestly dont think the way you write it is bad and i like the slowburn and i definitely can see it there. like how theyre getting closer and everything, a lot of things obviously wouldnt happen in the start before they got to know each other and yeah !

so im loving it, its one of my fav works on here as of now and i think youre doing the slowburn just right ! i think the main “problem” here is that the updates ARE a little slow considering most of the fics are one shots you can read in one go so i understand why waiting 2+ days for an update with 8 screenshots might be annoying for some people but i dont really mind ! just maybe could be a little longer so its worth the wait 😅 and its a little annoying sometimes when it FINALLY seems like theyre getting somewhere and then they just act like nothing happened like damn😓 couldve made a move already

ALSO someone mentioned hanbin seeming shady but i think thats because there are a lot of characters and you cant just be so detailed about everyone so it might seemed like it but its not the case. like when he left her at the park (?) i think.

duuuuuuuuuuuuuude i can't believe some people view down bad so highly?? first of all thank you for taking the time to type such a thorough answer i really really appreciate it and second of all, I swear i'll try to be quicker with the updates but i'll admit it's kinda tough sometimes since exam season is approaching but I'll do my best so you guys can enjoy down bad fully lolllll and i'll also try to make the chapters longer (since i only recently discovered that on pc you can upload more than ten images loll)

I've always wanted to reach out because you're amazing and I adore your writing style, but I was intimidated lol. 

Three tangerines got me through last year, and I'm genuinely glad I discovered your story and your blog. The characters you created are so realistic, it's impossible not to love all of them. It was nice to know more about Bro and his past and at the end of the day I really sympathize with him: he endured it all for his sister, and deep down he has a soft heart (I'm still terrified by the way he will react when he finds out about Reader and Yoongi, though🥴). While I was rereading Forfeit, I noticed something: it is mentioned that Bro has (or had?) a crush on Jia (Yuri's sister). Will we know more about that? (Probably someone has already pointed that out, I'm not sure)

This is honestly such a weird/scattered ask and it’s almost 1 am but fuck it here we go…

I am so beyond nervous to start Trial & Error part 2 that I’m actually completely putting off by reading the entire series from the start again!!! I realize that probably sounds so weird but I’ve just grown so attached to this story and the characters and I just want them all to feel love and for nothing bad to ever happen to them 🥺 I never anticipated what I thought was just gonna be me reading a super horny and fun one shot but then it became SO much more??? I mean, I saw it coming, my favourite trope and my favourite author, it was kind of inevitable😌 I was like 3 minutes in when I realized “Oh fuck, shit’s gonna hurt.” What are you doing to me?? Making me wish Lucas actually goes and hooks up with somebody who’s not Eliott??? Making me not hate the idea of Lucas with Chris (bless you for choosing the most attractive OG character)???

2/5 But at the same time not wanting it at all because clearly there’s more to Eliott that Lucas doesn’t see? One second I’m mad at Eliott for how possessive he is but at the same time I absolutely get it because it’s Lucas. We all wanna protect Lucas. And who would want to share him, right? Ughhh. What am I supposed to do with all these mixed feelings??

And yet here I am asking you to go ahead and wreck me because I can’t wait to read more. I’m very curious what the kiss they shared was about that Lucas believes Eliott barely remembers it. (I bet Eliott’s secretly cherishing said memory, ‘cause really, how could he forget kissing Lucas.) And I’m also curious about the time period in which it happened.

5/5 Gotta add that the childhood scenes are adorable, I loved the parallel of Eliott seeing Lucas first while Lucas wasn’t aware.
