I took myself in wondering why I feel so horrible and tired

Before realising:

I was literally up at 3 am

After sleeping (or trying to) less than 6 hours

Been travelling in trains for more than I've slept (around 6-6 and a half hours)

Walked around in a new city for the first time - at the end with a dying phone so risking getting lost with no way of getting help (other than of course asking strangers)

And to top it off; Excitement for tomorrow's concert

I think I've earned this level of exhaustion ... and a hopefully better night's sleep x'D

Now that I'm in a slightly better mental space, I wanted to say something about this post. Because nothing in it is actually true or represented accurately, and I'm tired of being shit on for things I didn't do. Especially when the post has so many notes based on no proof or explanation whatsoever, and was called "a list of facts". So let's talk about it.

1) First, blocking a Korean person for having an issue with my "gratuitous use of kpop gifs". This never happened. The only person I can even guess this could be about is sojutrait as they are friends & I have her blocked, but she has never told me not to use gifs or that she was uncomfortable with my use of them. I only ever used a gif with her once, and that was before I even knew she was Korean, which I only found out in an indirect manner in her reply on that very post (something like, "if I wanted to obsess over Koreans all day, I'd look in a mirror"). After that comment, nothing was said to me on the subject from her, about the gifs or otherwise. But I've never used them with her since finding that out, and I blocked her days later for different reasons. I have never used a kpop gif to "dunk on" any person I knew was Korean, or used them to mock Koreans "with their own people's faces", only in response to outright hate anons or about patreon creators etc. That's fact.

2) Butchered Korean in my bio as a joke. I also don't know what this refers to exactly because it wasn't stated, but I did have the word "koreanooboo" in my discord bio for a while. This was because I often get "koreaboo" one word random anons, and I combined it with the simlish word for baby, "nooboo", as a play on words & to make fun of those anons. But koreaboo isn't even a Korean word. The only other thing I can think of is that I've referred to myself as both oppa & unnie before, but that was just playing around with how those terms are gendered and so multiple could technically apply to me. I've never mocked the Korean language, only made a pun and made fun of my own gender identity. I've never used Korean words in any other context otherwise or made fun of the language in any way. That's fact.

I'm also not sure what either of these first two points have to do with me having a defense of Seph. He's SEA, and I'm blasian + white, but afaik, neither of us are Korean. I could be wrong on this. But the defending thing was about something different entirely.

3) But that brings us to the biggest & most important issue: supposedly making fun of Seph's picture and making a racist comment about him. This one is the worst to me because it couldn't be further from what actually happened. In fact, it was more like the exact opposite. Because, to put it simply, the one that made that comment left the community precisely because I called them out on it being racist.

To explain further, I used to have a person that went by the name Froggy in my discord server. They were the person to make that comment about Seph. And Froggy was banned from my server for this comment, combined with several other racist comments and terrible behavior that came to my attention from reports from others. I discussed this situation at length in my server with other members. I expressed my disgust once I realized the implications of the multiple questionable comments that were unearthed in Froggy's various DMs with other people. Multiple members of the server attempted to speak with Froggy about these comments and come to a positive conclusion or at least some kind of apology, but they instead denied it being racist and said I was supposedly being fine with it- which I was not and expressed that multiple times. I admittedly didn't realize the implication of the idol comment to begin with, only half paying attention to the group chat it was in, but did tell Froggy not to make fun of him in a lighthearted manner & moved on. Because, frankly, I got into multiple arguments in private with this person on the behalf of others in the server they didn't like (including but not limited to Seph, and none of them were racist, just hostile) and it was fucking exhausting. But when I did realize the additional implications of the comment, I said multiple times how much of a dumbass I was for skimming the chat/not realizing the deeper meaning initally to act more harshly at the time. All of this was talked about publicly. And no one would have ever even known about this if I hadn't called it out as racist to begin with when I looked back through the chat and realized. Froggy has since visited bigoted attack servers in an attempt to raid mine in retaliation for me exposing this exact behavior that I'm being blamed for.

When speaking about it, I initially kept Seph's identity as the person to be commented about private (blocking out his name and picture from the screenshot) as to not upset/involve him, but other people figured it out even without being told. This was my own mistake because I should have realized people would guess & just gone to him first, but I was treating it the way I would like other people to treat racist comments about me- in other words, I don't even want to see shit like that, and I stupidly projected that mindset onto him. I explained all of this to him through a mutual friend of both of us nearly a month ago, at the end of which I got the impression that the matter was understood and we had moved on. I had mentioned defending him in other arguments I had with Froggy before we had this mutual conversation (the very same day, actually), and in response our mutual told me that Seph didn't want it brought up again. Then I received a DM from our mutual where we discussed the situation. That wasn't "dragging it up after he specifically asked not to" if that was only requested after I made the comment. Since I was told about this, I hadn't mentioned the incident since, per his wishes. In fact, Seph was never mentioned at all in my server at all since that day (10/26), was not spoken negatively about by me since he joined the server in the first place (instead we actually had generally friendly interactions), and I had intended to never talk about this or him again. I didn't even want to talk about it now, but it keeps being brought up without any sort of context, and I should be able to at least set the record straight.

i don't think people really understand what's happening in gaza. with each passing day that sees more and more palestinians dead, it's becoming easier and easier for those in the west to perceive them as nothing more than a statistic. they might engage w the occasional palestine post, sure, but it's just as easy to scroll right past that moments later w no real outrage for the genocide retained.

it's vital to stay reminded that palestinians who are with us today won't be with us tomorrow. it's happening every second of every minute of every hour, and it's relentless. somewhere in gaza a little girl is losing her mother, a little boy is watching his siblings bleed to death, elderly people are infirm with starvation and illness, palestinian women and girls are being sexually assaulted and kept in cages, fathers are leaving tents to find food for their families and not coming back. this is all happening right now, and it's a direct result of the west's complacency. it's a direct result of their not seeing arabs as people worth saving.
