tell me the milo lore, coward (lighthearted)

bet, to preface though, i am a gay lil shit and so theres a fair bit of oc x canon and weaving his backstory into pre-existing characters ect ect because its fun

the very basics!! Milo is an avatar of the dark that is not entangled in the whole mess of the peoples church of the divine host, however he does have some history with the catholic church.

BACKSTORY- START OF S1 STUFF

he was marked by the dark when he was very young, in an incident that ended up with his immediate family dead and him missing, during which he was also marked by the lonely. eventually he was found and was placed to live with his aunt (mothers side), who was a nun and got him into the church. he was unfortunately targeted and groomed by the priest (i dont know how to make that sound any less harsh my apologies) and generally did a lot of suffering in silence, all the while the temptations of the dark were eating at him. he made a plan to escape to go to college in london, but was found out and accused of being possessed (because they wanted to keep him in the church not out of any genuine concern of him being possessed). an exorcism was attempted on him and he ended up 'dying' in the process. his death was the catalyst for him becoming a full avatar (think like how jon only became a full avatar after pretty much dying in the unknowing) and he killed the priest in an act of revenge and then made his escape, still not knowing what exactly was going on with him as he didnt have any idea what the fears were. since he was declared dead he wasnt a suspect in the priests death, but had some trouble with creating a new identity to go by afterwards because he was still trying to live like a normal person and go to college and all that jazz.

in college was where he ended up meeting Oliver Banks, who took pity on him and finally explained what on earth was going on with him. the two dated briefly before they graduated, milo graduated with a bachelors in library science (if that is the correct name for it im not sure) and ended up getting a job in artifact storage in the magnus institute. (circa 2007, so gertrude era) he was pretty good at his job but was really quiet and private to the point he got a joke reputation for just being a ghost.

when jon became archivist he was transferred to the archives as an assistant, after a 'deal' with elias. elias would make sure he didnt have to hurt ppl to get fear, in return for making sure jon (he said everyone but he rlly only cared abt jon making it) lasted long enough for elias' goals (which he did not share with milo obviously). so milo was sent down to the archives to be a guard dog of sorts.

HOW HIS AVATAR SHIT WORKS

hes less associated with the whole cult-y aspect of the dark (and in fact actively despises the peoples church of the divine host despite their attempts to recruit him) and is closely tied to the 'brackish water' thats often associated with it. both his parents and the priest he killed died via their lungs being filled with black water. he needs skin to skin contact and intention in order to actually kill, which is why he constantly wears gloves, just in case. if he were to touch someone on. say, their chest, they'd get very cold, their throat would start to close and their vision would darken, like the background, other than milo, is fading to black. their lungs fill with black fluid and it usually pours from their mouth, nose and eyes. they basically drown on dry land and he's the only thing they see. its not super flashy and is usually very quiet up until when they yk. collapse

OTHER RELATIONS

the lukas family! milos father was one of the few lukas' that rejected the lonely and left, in an attempt to keep his children away from the lonely/the fears in general. however he sadly was unsuccessful.

Tim Stoker!! milo had a fwb situation with tim up until his death, the two had fallen for each other but never got the chance to say it, and with tim being so volatile in s3, when he learned that milo was an avatar they had a huge fight

Michael (distortion)! the two are.. i dont want to say friends but milo is very colorblind and that takes away so much of what makes the distortion scary so hes not very afraid of it, which it is fascinated by.

hes also got some history with @itschesshire 's ocs bastian and silas :))))

Gertrude Robinson. she pretty quickly found him out and they had a deal of sorts. they left each other alone and he wrote a statement (which jon later finds) as a sort of failsafe if he ended up being a problem for gertrude

danelle is ambiguously dragonseed idk how ive tried making the lothston family tree but fucking lucas the panhandler and manfryd and manfred keep fucking it up. basically shes got the DAWG in her. she bathes in blood elisabeth bathory style and visits the god’s eye because she believes the god’s eye is basically a time vortex and she wants dark sister. and jeyne is like bloodraven has dark sister. and danelle is like he has it NOW he didnt have it THEN. and jeyne is all girl what the fuck are you on about but she doesnt say that cos she doesnt wanna get murdered.

DAENYS TARGARYEN: ok this one is INSANE. so i have this alternate timeline au where after maegor imprisons viserys (aenys’ second son, the one who got tortured and died rip) he’s like hey whats better than 3 wives? 4 wives and one of them is my nephew (no black brides yet). maybe THATS how ill get an heir. 

so he uses blood magic to essentially omegafy poor viserys and they have three abominations children (sorry viserys): Jaehaerys, Daenys and Viserra. only death can pay for life so Jaehaerys (our Jae the Wise, in this au he gets murdered rip) died for Jaehaerys, Poxy Jeyne Poore died for Daenys and Tyanna of the Tower died for Viserra.

Daenys is Haunted by the Visions and by the ghost of Poxy Jeyne. plus her dad-mother viserys is Haunted and her dad-father maegor is maegor AND her younger sister viserra is visenya kin AND she has shameful lesbian desire for her aunt/cousin rhaena AND her cousin/step-sister/sister-in-law aerea. daenys is like what if u were raised by the most traumatised man in the world and the most evil man in the world and all your family is married to each other and you are LITERALLY an abomination AND u are gay. what then.

2) Maya fey - Ace Attorney : she is fun shes goofy shes energetic she has an older sister she loves with everything she has. she summons ghosts she is always afraid of never living up to who she feels she needs to be she grows up too fast she makes a lawyer her best friend she gets framed for murder all the time and is dealing with intense trauma but never lets anyone see and laughs it off but she is only 15 she is only 15. she is 15 and saw her sisters dead body and was framed for her murder and had no time to process it. she immediately tried to act like this was not the worst possible thing. she is 15 and independent with no parents and only an abusive aunt and she is all alone save for phoenix. she doesnt let herself think too hard about it she cant. she has to keep going to she carves out a grin and claps her hands together and summons the ghost of her sister to possess her body. how awful must it be to be so close to her after death but always still just out of reach. she was just there, but you cant see her. she is 15.

3) Wyll Ravengard - Baldurs Gate 3 : hes fun hes silly hes disabled he represses all his negative feelings and rarely shows anger. he is full of kindness he is kind on purpose. he needs to have a purpose and to feel needed. he was only a 17 year old child manipulated into twisting his life and his father cast him out and he refuses to allow himself to be angry about it. because if it isnt something he can make himself forgive then what was it all for what was the reason why did his father throw him away why did he not need him or listen to his words. he does not let himself be wyll anymore because wyll is not someone important enough to love. but he is

4) Gotenks - Dragon Ball Z : hes.....fun hes goofy hes energetic........ literally is just two children merged together and amplifying all their cockiest parts and i love him. he is just a silly ten year old doing cool trick and trying to be a hero because that is what he thinks is cool and thats what he wants to be. two mild mannered children together making each other stronger and more arrogant and it is wonderful. hes kind of a little shit. he just wants to be like the adults in his life. he wants to be as strong as his fathers and prove himself to them. he likes to spin and punt people like a volleyball. hes silly. in fighterz his big attack is so cute especially if you have piccolo in your team he passes it to piccolo it is my favorite thing on the world.

5) Chi-Chi - Dragon Ball Z : shes beautiful she is my wife she is half giant. toriyama hates her butni love her and she is mine now. she became a world-class martial artist and pursued some monkey boy she had a crush on as a child. she is one of the strongest people in the world and has strong morals and is the child of a king but wants to live a small cozy life with someone she loves and her kids and have everyone be safe and thats it. she is full of love but can absolutely wreck shit if it comes down to it. she is the only one whonis rightfully like hey. do not send my tiny child to fight on an alien planet. and then she waits. and her husband dies and she waits. and her husband dies again, for nine years, and she waits. raising two kids alone. she waits because she know he is coming back so she waits one more day, just one more day

6) Frankie Stein - Monster High : they have fun electricity things their limbs come off they are an inventor and 15 days old and autistic as hell but so excited and enthralled by the world and learning about it. they have a dog that is part dragon they dont know who they are yet but they are figuring it out but they know how to love and are full of wonder and just really really want to help people. they're the only monster like themselves, and have no community to turn to. at the same time, they arent any one person. they are made up of so many different people in their body and brain and they remember it all but only vaguely. 7) Russel Hobbs - Gorillaz : he is snarky hes the only one willing to punch murdoc he plays drums hes gnc hes possesed by a ghost that comes out when he plays the drums he is a father figure to noodle and is the only person caring about the Literal Child's safety and well-being. he became giant for a while and carried his essentially daughter around with him bc he was the only one willing to look for her. he literally always says the funniest shit hes everything to me. there is so little content about him bc jamie hewlett writes him away most of the time and i think i should be allowed to be violent for that. like ok i wonder why you keep not letting the fat black character have a turn. why do you think that is can you tell me can you elaborate on that.

8) Alistair Therin - Dragon Age: Origins : ok ok. hes fun. hes goofy. hes energetic. you get it. he didnt have a single adult who truly cared dor him growing up. he is lighthearted and has fun and cracks jokes but is willing to open up about his worries and be a person and is surprisingly well adjusted like hes been to therapy or smth. but then is he actually processing it or just saying it ? he is so convinced that he is worthless and forgettable to the point of putting himself in the background intentionally so you lead the team. he is scared and kind

9) Trucy Wright - Ace Attorney : she always has a smile but she so so rarely lets her real feelings peek through. she is the queen of repression she is so desperate to mever let anyone know she is really sad. she is just as snarky as her dad she is so silly and teasing. she is incredibly smart and intensely perceptive even though shes just a kid ! she puts on a personality of someone bright and energetic and carefree when in reality she is always haunted by knowing that her biological father abandoned her after using her to forge evidence and leading to her now father to lose the job he loved so dearly. she is so young but performs and earns the primary income for her and phoenix which is not something any kid should have to do. she carries the weight of feeling like she has ruined peoples lives so she puts on a smile and a show to try and make everyone feel a little better by putting on a smile and a show, which makes it all the more impactful in the moments when she briefly lets that mask drop.

10) Sera - Dragon Age Inquistion : she is a lesbian she is an archer so you know she has a chiseled back and strong ass arms. if she were real i would rubix cube my gender around and be a butch lesbian for her. she is so funny she is so autstic the game is so mean to her and assumes i dont understand her when she makes perfect sense to me and i love her so much. she does things as she thinks of them she cuts her hair by herself she doesnt make herself adhere to society and loudly and proudly stays herself even when others think its cruse and inappropriate. she has no self esteem and really truly is scared but she find purpose in having people to fight for. she is so lonely but passes it off with a grin. shes communist and kills rich people and makes fun of them. she stole a bunch of guards pants so she could laugh at them. shes the best character in inquistion hands down

Households: I was gonna mod the game so I could have more then 8 sims in a household till I realized that required me remembering to not go into CAS so I had to reorganize because I cannot be trusted. The house holds are a bit lop sided because I wanted their to be a theme to their togetherness.

Charcaters Selected: I bascially choose charcaters I liked, were iconic, or I thought would be interesting to interact. I started with a list of 133 then slimmed it down to like 80... then slowly increased to 109. To be fair the 7 were very easy to do cause I could do what I want (AI’s, Parents, etc.). The outfits were the hardest part and after like sim 60ish I gave up doing unqiue outfits for all events so I focused on their main outfit and pruning the random clothing the game gave them. I wanted to fill a world with Horizon sims so that's why I went Ham.

Family Connection: Every family connection is correct except Rost and Aloy but I might use MCCC to correct that. Thats’ why I had to make Jiran, Fashav's Mother, Nakoa's Father because you can’t just make cousins/aunts/etc. in CAS. I made Miriam because I planned to murder her along with others to make a more interesting family tree instead of the blank image till I felt bad. I also made Stemmur Morlund’s dad..... cause I could (I recogize its not canon but he seems like a adopted dad kinda thing).

Relationships: I like rare ships and Beta x Regalla has been on my mind since I saw a post hinting at that. The planned stuff is also not fully set in stone though because I do love almost every ship, just some are more my favs (The gay ships mostly).

Future: I gonna start posting all the Sims and the CC I used in a few days along with the houses I have been making (so far I have made 10 out of 16 houses over 98ish hours).

TLDR; One's doing a rescue ranch in Mistfall and is only intrested in horses and the other is a gay herbalist. I will be rambling about blorbos from now on, be warned

Daniella Bunnywood: The first OC I made. Dani's mother lives in England but her father lives in Jorvik (I originally said that her Father was Ricky Winterwell, who gifted Daniella an Icelandic Horse for her 16th birthday) [very babys first oc]. I'm deciding on how I want to change this up a bit and I'm thinking either;

Runs a small rescue ranch at Birk's Grange or Kirsty Griswald (cannonical Owner of Birk's Grange) is her aunt and she visits Kirsty regularly.

I want to keep the original storyline accurate with Dani, because I have decided I want to. All of Dani's rescued horses are horses I've brought with SC but shhhh. So when Dani's not doing Storyline Quests, they're at Birk's grange, and are often doing long weekend visits to Emma in Goldenhills. Emma and Dani go on regular long trail rides, and they're very close friends.

Dani is very much my Mary Sue 12 year old babys first OC but I love her and I don't want to change it massively, cause I still like the concept I have.

Nova Oakshield: Haven't been developing this OC as much, but I know that they are a herbalist, and were doing a biology degree in Jorvik City before dropping out. Their horse is a soul steed/north swedish horse and thats about all i have rn

Warning, christmas negativity I guess? You can just skip over this if you want to, don't worry, it's just me talking about why I really didn't like christmas this year

So, the reason why I hate christmas this year: I have to celebrate it with the worst part of my family. Normally this isn't a problem because I am good at hiding what I feel and what I think and acting happy but this christmas is just really bad. Some of you may or may not know about the tattoo I'm gonna get for my birthday in January. I'm really happy about that because I wanted that tattoo for such a long time now and of course at a christmas party with family you talk about all kinds of stuff, and so we got to the topic tattoos. I told them about my tattoo and the first thing my aunt does is making fun of it. It just kind of hurt me because that tattoo is something I've wanted for so long and I'm so happy that I can finally get it and they don't have anything better to do than making fun of it. They don't even have to like it, I get why they don't like tattoos, but making fun of it? That's just fucking mean. I just don't get why people have to make fun of something someone else really loves??? Well anyway... I can't wait for this stupid christmas party to be over already

- ten rings but they're actually bracelets

-i despise the romantic tension between the mother and the father in the first fight scene

- jiang li is so badass i love her

- when jiang li uses the rings, theyre gold, just like when shang chi uses them, so my theory is when xialing uses the rings, theyre blue, like her father

- the best misdirect is that shang chi is actually rich when in reality hes a valet

-the music in this is quality

- the bus fight scene is the fucking best (actually all the fight scenes are the best)

look the reverse wu/mako universe has many wonderful possibilities.. here is just one way it can go....

- wu’s parents were two earthbenders, killed when he’s young so he lives with his aunt who is terrible & abusive, so he runs away and lives on the streets. 

- wu is still a nonbender, but he’s super clever and charismatic so he’s able to pull off a ton of scams for the triad, who he joins for self preservation. he never becomes that good at fighting but he’s certainly more a little more physically capable than canon wu. (also i like the idea he learns how to chi block bc he found out his mom was once a kyoshi warrior). after a job almost gets him arrested, he realizes he’s gotta get out of there.

- he doesn’t have a resume obviously, so he just talks his way into convincing the arena to give him a job as a match announcer. 

- korra still sneaks out to see a probending match, but this time wu sees how into it she’s getting in the stands so he’s like “LOVE your energy queen let’s kick it, get some noodles ALSO why do you look so familiar?” shes like “oh im the avatar” and hes like “omg do you know kyoshi”

- they become friends because they’re chaotic energies just vibe and wu gets her a spot on probending team (the other members of which i still don’t know) 

- tenzin is less than thrilled about the union but he cannot shake him off.

- wu cant cross the street (hes gay) so asami still runs into him.but shes a stan so shes like “oh! I know what voice! let me make it up to you! can i take you shopping or to dinner?” and wu knows a trust fund kid when he sees one so hes like “oh we’re gonna be friends”

- then, of course, he introduces his two friends and korra falls instantly into Simp Behavior because uhhhh the last time she saw a girl that pretty, it was just pictures of katara in her 20’s so she did not need to form words in her presence.

- now, since the premiere krew is korra and her nonbending buddies, the amon storyline could have a lot of wu & korra going undercover, and since now theyre all consciously queer a lot of frank dicussion about asami’s relationship with her dad.

- meanwhile in the earth kingdom, mako’s father was the younger son of the earth king, so nobody minds when he marries a woman from the fire nation. but his older brother dies before he can have kids so mako’s the crown prince before he even starts bending.

- when they find out hes a firebender, they’re like “oh UH FUCK” and instantly cover that up and say he’s a nonbender bc the earth kingdoms a little backwards.

- mako’s trying to convince himself that he’s cool with this, he’s fine he can sacrifice that for his country, but bolins always like you deserve better bro :(

- with the fall out after amon, their parents think its a good idea for the boys to represent the earth kingdom in republic city so they send them along.

- tenzin thinks its important to maintain good relationships with the other world leaders so he offers them a place to stay at the air temple. bolin loves the aesthetic so he forces them to accept.

- korra & bolin still hit it off right away, but korra thinks makos a fuddy duddy with no sense of humor so she cant stand him. wu on the other hand is like “oh that is a man”

- mako and korra eventually talk and realize they both lead super sheltered lives and shes like “you just have to get out there and experience things and live your truth or whatever”

- makos is inspired so he starts to get up super early and practice his firebending with the air temples tools n shit, thinking no one will see him.

- except wu is a weird twink with no concept of boundaries or sleep schedule so he catches him one morning and is like “i have an amazing idea, let me sneak you into a pro bending team! I’ve done it before I’ll do it again!” (this is totally inspired by this fic btw)

- thats all she got folks. That’s all she got.
