The Crystal Maze (In-browser/download, DOS/Acorn Archimedes, Digital Jellyfish Design, 1994)
You can download this game based on a classic British game show for use in DOSBox here, or download it, bundled with DOSBox and the all-important game manual, here.
The manual is important because different team members have different strengths and weaknesses in the various minigames.

My Personal Ranking of Teen Wolf Media so far, CONTAINS SPOILERS
1. Season 3B, this is literally the best writing, directing, and acting of the series, with Dylan O'Brien flexing his acting ability, reminder he had no formal acting training, and the death of a main character cemented this as the best season for any YA show in TV history. The Nogitsune aka Void Stiles is fucking terrifying.
2. Season 4, this season is underrated to me, from Kate's return to Derek losing his powers. However this season saw the departure of Tyler Hoechlin from the series as a main cast member, and that may have soured this season for many people. Between the werejaguar and Peter turning heel the villains are at their best and we get the iconic scene of Derek turning into a evolved werewolf.
3. Season 6B, the end of the series kicks into high gear and doesn't stop until the end. Stiles, Derek, Jackson and Ethan all return after long absences and make the show feel like Teen Wolf again, the villain is awful but Theo and Liam easily carry a few episodes.
4. Season 6A, due to Dylan O'Brien needing to leave the show to film Maze Runner, the writer's decided to have new villains called the Ghost Riders kidnap Stiles and effectively erase him from everyone's memories. This leads to the best acting from Tyler Posey imo. This also had the return of Derek via archive footage and Stydia becoming canon.
5. Season 3A, The Alpha pack is severely underrated and I loved how Danny got some character development even if it was small.
6. Season 2, Underrated? Yes. Good? Ehhhhh. The Kanima is fucking iconic and Colton Haynes shows off how fucking incredible he is as an actor. Derek's "Alpha high" is also well played. Boyd and Erica are good side characters but they deserved better
7. Season 5, the first season without Derek and it shows, the show decides to hint at a next generation spin off (which never happened) with extra focus on Liam Dunbar. But it feels like Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Malia are given the backseat. Theo Raeken is easily one of the best villains, manipulating everything to his benefit until it back fires on him. However this season gets boring fast with twenty episodes following one story. My favorite scene is still Stiles finally snapping and punching Scott.
8. Season 1, the start of the series also happens to be the worst. Scott is at his worst but is still likable in parts. The actors quickly get better with every episode, Holland Roden definitely improves fast.
9. Teen Wolf: The Movie, I don't even want to talk about this. This is Scallison fanfiction with all the bad parts of fanfiction, Derek is killed off, Malia and Parrish are a thing, Stydia broke up because of a dream etc. However, I did like Crystal Reed's performance as Allison, balancing being numb and brainwashed and scared because she doesn't know anything, Eli Hale is the best part, and the scene of Derek, Scott and Eli roaring with all the rooms matching their eyes is iconic, the score helps a lot.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal
Original Platform: 3DS
Original release: 18th December 2014
Available to buy: No
Tumblr media
Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal was the 3DS companion game for the infamous Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric on Wii U. From a technical standpoint, Shattered Crystal is a marvel compared to the Wii U game, as I didn’t encounter any problems.
In Shattered Crystal, you can switch between Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Sticks – a crazy, paranoid badger with a boomerang – at any point by tapping the screen or the d-pad. All the characters feel the same in terms of how they run, jump, use their grappling hook and attack but they all have a unique ability: Sonic can dash through blocks (and gain extra height), Tails can glide and use gusts of wind, Knuckles can dig through tunnels and Sticks can throw her boomerang, mainly to activate switches.
When you have a decent platforming section, Shattered Crystal is really good fun, stringing together jumps, homing attacks and grapples is very satisfying. Sometimes having to switch characters can slow this down, but when the game lets you go fast, it’s a very solid game.
But Shattered Crystal isn’t about going fast. It’s about exploring overly large maze-like levels. To progress the game, you will need to collect Sonic badges. Completing each level will get you one, but this isn’t enough to progress, so you will need to find 6 blueprints and 4 crystal shards in each level. You need to find all of each in a level to get the Sonic badge (so collecting 5 blueprints in multiple levels is useless).
As you explore these maze-like levels you will encounter slingshots that send you to another part of the level, some of which will mean that you are now blocked, so if a collectible was there, you’ll have to do the level another time to progress. Other parts of the game can block progress backwards, too. On top of this, the first 5 or so levels you first play without all characters, so collecting them all is impossible first time round.
All this just makes the game slow, dull and frustrating. It’s a shame, because the core gameplay is solid. There are a couple of different types of levels: there are a couple of race levels which are amazing levels: it’s all about getting from A to B as fast as possible, there are multiple routes but generally the higher ones are quicker. The other kind are “worm tunnels”, where you run into the screen and move left/right to change path to dodge obstacles and collect rings. These levels are also really good.
While this game is based on the TV show, I don’t think it involves any of the writers from it. Sonic Boom’s jokes are surprisingly funny, while Shattered Crystal is just painful to read.

Types of Mazes
World's Largest Maze: Samsø Labyrinten
Tumblr media
Samsø Labyrinten is approved as World’s Largest Maze by Guinness World Records. The maze is 60,000 m2, equivalent to 12 soccer fields.
The extensive trail system that has a total length of  more than 5,5 kilometres, is bordered by more than 50,000 trees and bushes.
Besides the experience in the labyrinth itself, you also get a great nature experience, and you may be lucky to see or hear some of the area’s 25 species of birds or other animals e.g. hare, fox and deer. Corn Mazes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Corn mazes are paths that are cut or plowed in a field of corn (maize). Typically corn mazes are used in a lot of horror scenes which is not what I want to do with my game as I want my game to focus more on the puzzle aspect within the maze itself. Shinning Maze:
Tumblr media
The film contains two mazes, the hedges outside and, per Wendy's characterization, the Overlook. The hedge maze appears in two forms, the 13-foot-high version outside and the model inside the Overlook. In the overhead shot zooming down on Wendy and Danny in the center of the maze, the maze differs from the map outside and from the model having far more corridors, and the left and right sides are mirror images of each other. The Overlook significantly breaks down into two sections, one old and one remodeled; one past, one present. Crystal Maze TV Show:
youtube
The Crystal Maze TV Show has teams of players explore 4 themed Zones, collecting crystals by completing 1 player, 2-3 minute, physical, skill, mental or mystery games.
Even though the show has the word "Maze" in it, it seems to be more focused on the players solving puzzles.

Unlocking the Magic of Wireless Surround Sound for Your TV
Tumblr media
In the realm of home entertainment, the quest for immersive audio experiences has reached new heights. Gone are the days of tangled wires and limited speaker placement. With the advent of wireless surround sound systems for TVs, you can now elevate your viewing experience to a whole new level of audio bliss.
Embracing the Wireless Revolution
Gone are the days when setting up a surround sound system meant navigating a maze of cables and drilling holes in your walls. Today, wireless technology has revolutionized the way we experience audio in our living rooms. With wireless surround sound systems, you can say goodbye to clutter and hello to seamless integration with your TV.
The Benefits of Going Wireless
Simplicity and Convenience: One of the most significant advantages of wireless surround sound is its simplicity. With no wires to worry about, installation becomes a breeze. Simply plug in your speakers, connect them to your TV wirelessly, and you're ready to go. No more tripping hazards or unsightly cables cluttering up your living space.
Flexibility in Speaker Placement: Traditional surround sound systems often require precise speaker placement to achieve optimal audio performance. With wireless technology, you have the freedom to place your speakers wherever you like, without being constrained by the location of your TV or the layout of your room. Whether you prefer wall-mounted speakers, floor-standing towers, or discreet bookshelf speakers, the choice is yours.
Enhanced Aesthetics: Let's face it—wires are an eyesore. By eliminating the need for cables, wireless surround sound systems offer a sleek and minimalist aesthetic that complements any modern living space. Say goodbye to tangled messes behind your TV stand and hello to a clean and clutter-free environment.
Immersive Audio Experience: The true beauty of wireless surround sound lies in its ability to transport you into the heart of the action. Whether you're watching a blockbuster movie, streaming your favorite TV show, or playing the latest video game, immersive audio adds an extra dimension to your entertainment experience. With crystal-clear dialogue, thunderous bass, and immersive surround sound effects, every viewing becomes an unforgettable experience.
Expandability and Customization: Wireless surround sound systems are highly scalable, allowing you to start with a basic setup and expand it over time as your needs and budget allow. Whether you're looking to add additional speakers for true 7.1 surround sound or integrate your system with other smart home devices, the possibilities are endless.
Compatibility with Smart Devices: Many wireless surround sound systems are compatible with smart home devices, allowing you to control your audio setup with voice commands or through a smartphone app. Whether you're adjusting the volume, changing audio settings, or streaming music from your favorite playlist, you can do it all with the touch of a button or the sound of your voice.
Conclusion
Wireless surround sound for TV offers a myriad of benefits that enhance your home entertainment experience. From simplicity and convenience to flexibility and expandability, the advantages are clear. So why settle for mediocre audio when you can immerse yourself in the world of wireless surround sound? Upgrade your TV audio today and elevate your viewing experience to new heights of audio excellence.

Who needs to run a time machine when you can just watch an old production. What a thrilling drama! Took me back in time, when I was a teenager and we didn't have cable or access to the internet 24/7. The highlight of my days was watching tv in my room after school while pretending to do my homework (Don't follow my example. I went to public schools and the studying materials were easier than today). Anyways, I would immediately switch to "Saudi Channel 2 -KSA 2-" that aired global series in English or dubbed in English (& sometimes subbed in Arabic but butchered with editing scenes out). Anime plots were changed to be suitable for the Arab Muslim viewers. Even though I didn't understand much of English, I was still entertained by everything that channel offered.
Some shows I vaguely remember: Georgie! (ジョージィ!) - Alpen Rose (アルペンローゼ) - Takeshi's Castle (風雲!たけし城) - The Crystal Maze - Antonella (1992 TV Series) - Lazos de amor (Τies of love).
Tumblr media
YASHA (Demon)
Gripping. Heart tugging. Fast paced. Haunting. You've been warned! I'm so impressed and in awe that I'll start reading the manga this drama was based on. How to move on?!
It's like a one-man show. Ito Hideaki played two roles that are polar opposites and had me glued to my small windowed mode the whole time.
I think you can really appreciate the songs and the instrumental music if you are a child of the 90s. The nostalgia hits hard and I had a blast.
rated: ★★★★☆ 8.0

The first riddle went poorly, which meant we got to see the FMV animation in which the FMV model and the actor in the (stock?) footage clearly have different hair lengths.
Runner TCBR: I hope it's not Rat Maze. If it is you'll know because two things will happen. The first will be Rat Maze. The second is I will groan.
...
TCBR: So now we get to the seventh floor and it'll spring Rat Maze on me.
*It proceeds to spring Rat Maze on him. He groans.*
Yeaaaaaaah, this is a slow, slow FMV maze.
The game apparently contains authentic 1996 lizard stock footage!
Our player character's shirt is so VIOLENTLY magenta. So is the actor's.
Belgian commentator Neetsel: I'll be honest, I'm bad at this in French, so in English at 4 AM you won't get help from me.
Spocklan, The Commentator With The Answers In The Notes: I've already forgotten what he said.
TBCR: Yeah I'm having a 4 AM brain fart.
And then they get the gear challenge.
TBCR: So fun fact, the solution to this is the same as the TV show. It's the same on The Crystal Maze as well!
Neetsel: That's really faithful.
TBCR, getting The Headless Woman: Okay so viewers at home, turn your headphones down. This is your warning. When we go the wrong way it'll make a sound -
*The most incredibly awful metallic drone you have ever heard in your life*
TBCR: Yeah so unfortunately our ears have to bleed.
We get a ballista-based challenge which features the FMV player character winding it back.
Very, very fast, if you're doing enough inputs. The couch commentators both crack up.
TCBR: Yeah, so my arm's thrown out.
Neetsel: So does one of the people running back affect the amount of money you get in the end?
TCBR: I have no earthly clue.
Neetsel: I think the lesson learned is that doing math and solving riddles at 4 AM is a bad idea.
But the non-game show-enthusiast USians in the audience DID get a 4 AM lesson on European game show history. And discussion of some of the later games, which include the phrase "Wii and Nintendo DS" and, predictably, "shovelware." (Redundant, I know.)
Peace Egg, the host: Yeah I don't know how to say this, there are a LOT of games based off of game shows like this. They just come out of nowhere, and then they show up on Awful Block.

Are You Embarrassed By Your Task Hive Theme Expertise? Here’s What To Do
Within the occasion, Thames misplaced its franchise to Carlton which had put in a larger bid. No further collection of the programme had been made and on New Yr's Eve 1992, Thames misplaced its franchise, being changed by Carlton on New Year's Day 1993. Thames continued as an unbiased manufacturing company. Pressure exerted by fans led to digital Tv channel Challenge repeating the series occasionally from 2001 to 2015 alongside different sport reveals, amongst which have been stablemates Treasure Hunt and The Crystal Maze. Nor Crystal Tears is a science fiction novel by American author Alan Dean Foster, first printed on 12 August 1982. Foster's ninth ebook set within the Humanx Commonwealth, it is a first-contact story in regards to the assembly of the insectoid Thranx and Man.
The error was explained on the "Banter" part of the Sequence B DVD as a mistake on the part of John Lloyd himself (the show's producer). Interceptor was never recommissioned for a subsequent sequence. The Interceptor chased contestant Candy (who was touring in a Rolls-Royce) on horseback. newsinsightnetwork.com had to get his key from a hive of bees. Be sure you load the important thing pair for future reference. Whereas ITV franchise Thames needed to propose Interceptor for an additional ITV network fee in 1990, Thames was already accountable for a very massive section of ITV's prime-time shows and other firms wished a better proportion.
Interceptor was shown at the time when ITV was undergoing main adjustments, and it became a casualty of them. Regardless of its termination, Interceptor retains a cult following. Towards the end of the episode, the Interceptor efficiently snuck up on an oblivious Mark and zapped his backpack at point-blank range. Even when they had realised and stopped the automobiles, they wouldn't have received the money as, though Candy's backpack opened, Mark's backpack had been zapped with the money in it. Many critics have attacked the efficacy and legitimacy of privateness policies discovered on the web. With the Internet Explorer 9 they can even exploit the Web providers in a better method.

What I'd like to see the boys do when RUN BTS returns...
With the upcoming return of RUN BTS, I have been thinking about some things I'd like to see them do. So here are some of my thoughts...
An Interceptor style game within the whole HYBE Building or in a Theme Park...
Interceptor (a British TV game show) takes the idea of a treasure hunt concept and adds a cat and mouse chase element to the game...
Premise:
Each member would be given a locked backpack - some contain a cash value prize, the others containing nothing. They'd have five large infra-red receptors on the back - Lazertag stylie.
To start, members would be blindfolded, taken to separate locations. The challenge, under radio guidance from another person, is to locate and obtain the key to their opposite member's backpack.
A simple enough task, except for some obstructions:
Interceptors, a person dressed in black, armed with an infra-red gun who would pursue the members and 'zap' the receptors on their backpacks, causing the locks to jam/lock.
Distance could also be a major enemy to the members, causing them to ask or borrow any mode of transport available to them.
There would also be a time limit. Once they had located their key, they would have to perform a task in order to obtain it.
youtube
Instead of hunting round the City of Seoul or a local town, I'd envisage this happening throughout the entire HYBE Building or a Theme Park, the Joseon village episode had elements of this.
The Crystal Maze
Another 90s British TV classic (based on the French show Fort Boyard), in which a group of 'adventurers' would complete a series of games in mini-escape room like environments.
Premise:
The members would compete in a series of challenges in various zones (i.e. futuristic, Joseon, Aztec etc.), whereupon they compete in a number of games, accruing as many time crystals as they can before travelling to the large "Crystal Dome" at the centre of the maze to meet their final challenge. The more crytals they have the more time in the Crystal Dome.
The individual games, which are escape room like, objective is usually determined by either a clear written message or cryptic clue. The captain of the team picks a member(s) to enter the game. If they run out of time they become locked in the room, the member is unable to take any further part in proceedings unless they are released by their team captain at the cost of an earned Crystal.
Reduction in team members poses an increased difficulty for future games and at their final challenge.
Each game is either a:
Mental - Mental and memory skill ranging from simple brainteasers, to acute memory and 2D/3D puzzles.
Mystery - Testing a contestant's problem solving abilities ranging from treasure hunts to large-scale mazes.
Physical - Testing a contestant's physical abilities ranging from obstacle courses, to lifting, using, cranking, or manipulating objects.
Skill - Testing a contestant's dexterity, accuracy and eye–hand coordination ranging from target-shooting, timing tests, to vehicle driving.
youtube
Let RM excel in The BTS Krypton Factor...
A mostly 80s games show, the Krypton Factor mixed physical tasks with critical thinking and problem-solving.
There were usually 6 rounds with a final Super Round:
Mental Agility - Usually a memory task, such as a sequence. They'd be asked related to the sequence and in between they'd be asked unrelated questions too.
Response - Members would undertake a flight simulator test.
Observation - Usually, they'd watch two video clips. The clips would be almost identical. Members would need to spot the differences.
Physical Ability - Members would compete in a military assault course. There would time handicaps for age/sex (and maybe bunny muscles?).
Intelligence - Members would need to solve a 2-D and 3-D puzzles, sometime, to make them fit into certain spaces.
General Knowledge - Quick fire time limited round, answering general knowledge questions.

The Super Round was introduced in 1995 and combined all the abilities of the individual rounds:

Total Wipeout
OK, I think it would be fun to see all the members just do badly for once. This would be similar to aqua park episodes...
youtube
Minute to Win It
Simple Premise
Compete in a series of challenges, some silly and some not so much, only issue... you have to complete each task within 60 seconds...
youtube
Lip Sync Battle
Come on, it would be fun to see them dress up and lip-sync to other songs. I think the Maknae line would excel at this...
