no the WAY you probably have heard every single song in the history of the world come out of heeseung's mouth like it's genuinely insane how he knows so many fucking tunes

you thought it could've been like a nervous thing but nahh he just loves singing and honestly, he does it to impress you too (though he would never admit that)

ofc this mfer has perfect pitch so once he hears a melody it's pretty hard for him to forget it, leading him to sing songs that come to mind just because he'd rather sing it out then keep it stuck in his mind for the rest of the day

even if he's working on something else, cooking, cleaning, even just talking to friends on the phone, you hear him sing songs even if he doesn't realize that he's doing it

bro almost always gets embarrassed when you mention it to him and he swears that he'll never do it again, but lo and behold, less than 10 minutes later, you hear him singing airplane pt. 2 after talking about bts with you

he loves it when you sing along with him or even try to harmonize (it's his love language!)

one day after you and jay hadn't seen each other in like a week or two cause he was in japan, you asked him what he ate that week and if he had tried anything new or tasted anything bad (just small talk cus you guys were bored and you wanted to be a good partner to him)

he just lit up and told you all the foods that he tried, the things that niki had recommended, all the things sunoo hated, the spicy things heeseung loved, literally everything during that week relating to food

you didn't realize that it was that serious to him but you just smiled and asked questions because at some point it was interesting even though it was a simple question

ever since then he just explains atleast one meal that he had with you, either in person, or texts you if he can't see you

you think it's super cute that he always reaches out because you asked him randomly that one time, and honestly you're glad that he does because soon enough you look forward to it

jake will never beat the puppy allegations to be quite honest

every single time he wakes up early because of his schedule (much earlier than you) and he ends up having a light breakfast

he times it so that your alarm goes off when he leaves as to not wake you up

and every single time, he comes back into your guys’ shared bedroom and lowers his head toward your lying body just so he can get a hair ruffle from you before he leaves for practice or promotions or whatever is going on

and it’s not just in the morning, but also when he comes back, even finding you in the home no matter where you are or what you’re doing to get his hair ruffled later on in the evening

it’s become routine at this point: when you forgot one day and woke up a little later than you expected because of a late night, he was all sulky and pouting the entire night, leading you to have to cuddle him and watch an entire series with him

even then he was still sad (although, with how much he had to hide his smile when you were in his lap, how sad could he really be?)

you know that chocolate that you ate with him in paris a few years back? no? well sunghoon remembers, and he brought it back for you when enhypen went together because he remembered that you quite literally lit up when you tasted the melty goodness

this dude remembers everything and sometimes it scares you

he knows that you hate the fourth step on the way to his dorm because that one happens to be a few centimeters longer which causes you to trip, so everytime you walk together he places his arm on your waist just so you don't fall

he remembers that you can't stand the smell of sage, so one time when the rest of enhypen went inside of a small crystal shop, he walked in before you and made sure to stay outside with you with the excuse that he "gets allergies everytime he's near rose quartz"

sometimes he tells you these things, like how he told you he loves everytime you smile because he loves seeing how your eyes crinkle when it's a genuine smile

most of the time he just keeps it to yourself though, but you know he knows things about you regardless

it's how he loves!

you're like 99% positive that if sunoo wasn't an idol, he would actually be a hairstylist as his job

no because how come he can do your hair better than you can do your own hair?

you're literally in control of your body and hands and know your hair yet he just does it better no matter what you attempt to do or even replicate like how he does it on his own volition

at first you were bewildered when he just started touching your hair for fun because no-one else had ever just touched your hair like that so it was just shocking???

but now it seems to just be a force of habit because whenever you guys are sitting together for extended periods of time (like watching scary movies together at 3 AM just because he requested it), he needs to have his hands in that scalp of yours otherwise he literally cannot focus on anything else

honestly though you're happy about it because not only is he gentle with his hands and your hair, but it's really comforting to you now... especially after being jumpscared one too many times in the witching hours

you don't know what it is about your jungwon saying your name or what it is about your name that's just so appealing to him but he loves it and you love hearing it

everytime he talks to you he almost always starts out by saying your name, then saying a pet name after

when he's in a loving mood he says your name then the word "baby" "sweetheart" "my love" and other things of that nature

to be honest, that's how you know when he's annoyed or even upset at you because he'll just say the pet name but not your own name

those days scare you the most, and you spend the rest of the day making it up to him with whatever you did

even when he talks to other people, he never refers to you as his partner, but rather your name every single time

speaking of that, he literally brings you up in every conversation he has ever, even when it has nothing to do with you (but that's a whole different topic)

he just loves you and your name so much that it brings joy to him when it comes out of his mouth

okay so I saw @jade-of-mourning’s post about how makorra would make bomb yuri and I am 100% in agreement so,, how I imagine tlok would go if mako was a girl.

I feel like this would totally affect mako’s backstory n stuff too because life on the street is rough for any kids but like. little girls with no one to run to surrounded by creepy criminal guys. not great! so not only would that add an extra layer of trauma, but I feel like it would also add dimension to mako+zolt’s dynamic when mako and bolin worked w the triads. like, instead of firebending gang leader who wants to shape a mini-me he found into his successor, it’s. hold on let me make another sentence. it’s a girl who’s learned to protect herself and a man she needs to defend herself from offering to teach her better. so there’s less of the straightforwardness of their canon interactions—mako knows she’s being exploited but is willing to play into it to take advantage of learning zolt’s skills and zolt knows she’s clever but wants her close. idk how fucked up zolt would be, but he could probably have some motivations related to trafficking as a backup should mako turn on him that would’ve been less viable with canon mako. idk. thoughts are thinking too quickly for me to type rn.

I’m not gonna go through everything in tlok for the sake of not yapping for 12 hrs like i did in my 100yr war mako post but through the four books in the context of makorra i imagine it would go:

b1: weirdgirl firebender who’s a control freak becomes the avatar’s best friend. she’s totally not in love btw. and there’s literally no jealousy at all when asami befriends korra either cause they’re just chill. just friends, how friends are, yk. amon is a freak but part of her is relieved he took zolt’s bending. thought the thought of her getting her bending taken away feels like a part of her autonomy being taken and that’s terrifying so she’s relieved when he fucking dies.

b2: from what I recall team avatar is more split up during b2 and do you know what that means. so much pining. it smells like a forest with the amount of longing bro. then mako gets arrested and prison as we all know is such a friendly environment for women so. more trauma. then harmonic convergence happens at that is absolutely when makorra realize they’re in loooove. then vaatu happens and it’s like ohhh shit I’m in deeeep.

b3: new airbenders yay! mako is distracted from korra a little bit when she and bolin meet their long lost extended family, until dear old grammy says that korra would make a fine husband for her granddaughter if she were a man. and cue gay panic cause DOES SHE KNOW???? HOW??? I’m being intentionally vague cause I last watched this show like five years ago and I don’t remember the timeline at all but bear with me. airbenders in ba sing se are freed, krew makes their way over to zaofu to meet opal. this is cool it’s fine. lin is literally mako’s mom and she’s still worried the whole time they’re on zaofu. korra is kidnapped. prison for mako and bolin (again). m+b search the desert for korrasami, it’s all mostly the same except more. yk. gay pining. korra is poisoned but the girls have a girl moment on air temple island after Jinora gets her tattoos :3

b4: korra travels for a while, before returning to rc. then she’s gone again to the swamp. kuvira attacks zaofu, korra defends, and then she’s back. mako and asami are. yeah. blah blah blah that one episode of makorra reminiscing gets really gay, kuvira tries to take over rc, mako lightning-zaps the mech and almost dies and then BOOM. they kiss after the battle. and the lesbians win once again as makorra walk into the spirit world hand in hand.

if you’re wondering why this was written so disjointedly it’s because I kept getting distracted mid-sentence. and I also hate how the romance was dealt with in canon, but it’s such a big part of b1 (my favorite book minus romance) and the repercussions lasted throughout all four seasons so obviously that I physically cannot bring myself to rewatch it. and girls are so. thank u lychee ur really super awesome and cool for drawing makorra as girls because I think they would’ve worked out in canon if mako was a girl. sorry I’m really sick rn and I’m a little out of it lmao 😭🙏🏼

Here's more of my gleestuck au but the ✨stri-londe's✨

They all live in the same town but different parts (I haven't decided on where I want this to take place). Their parents (bro and mom) are divorced and boy do they make a show of it.

Dave and rose are twins, having only lived together for a few months before their parents split. Dirk is the oldest although hes only a year older, Roxy is the youngest being only around 6 years old in this.

Dave and dirk live with bro, while rose and Roxy live with mom. They're not entirely sure how they got split like that, except for Roxy seeing as she has a different dad than rose and Dave. Luckily because they live in the same town, visits are always welcomed. It also helps that the older three go to the same school.

Now for the school stuff.

Dave:

• he's pretty alright with his grades, averaging C's and B's

• his Adderall is a big help (poor boy CANNOT focus without it)

• he thought glee club was dumb at first (he still says it is but for irony purposes.)

• his "tryout" for glee was 'rap god'

• he's a little tone deaf here but it's fine because his skills with drums make up for it

• he only joins glee after a heated argument with karkat

Rose:

• very above average grades, usually all A's (her attitude gets her in trouble)

• she's always watching out for Dave even when he tells her to fuck off

• her parental instincts just happen to go off near her twin

• she joins glee after seeing karkat and kanaya make a show of it in the cafeteria

• she *really* enjoys the hot emo lesbian in the club

• she surprises herself when she finds she actually enjoys singing

•her favorite part is the harmonizing which she then gets put as a vocal lead.

Dirk:

• he tends to skip classes although he keeps barely passing grades

• hes usually pretty quiet unless you get him talking about his interests

• he only sticks to hanging out with his siblings and their friends

• he only joins glee because John asks him to (he's been crushing on the guy since he and Dave became friends in middle school)

• he winds up enjoying it far more than he would've thought

• him and Dave team up quite a bit for warm ups and duos (Dave playing the instrument)

Roxy:

•shes the baby strilonde!

• everyone loves her, she's just got such a bright personality

• Dave and dirk spoil her way too much

• she loves going to her siblings concerts and gets excited seeing Dave play the drums

Bro:

• he's the football captain (no explanation needed)

• he wasn't too thrilled seeing his sons joining glee, especially seeing as the guy he has the biggest beef with teaches that class (its Jake English)

• he tries pursuing the two to leave but other than that leaves it alone.

• he's a good dad here, just stubborn with a sarcastic personality

• Dave and dirk call him bro except for when there's a serious situation, then they call him dad.

• rose and Roxy call him dad (rose goes for father and Roxy, daddy)

• he loves his girls as much as he loves Dave and dirk and gets them on the weekends

• him and mom don't hate eachother but they do like making it a competition to one up eachother

Mom:

• she works at home

• was pretty happy to find out her kids were in glee, only because she knew how much her ex husband would dislike it

•she makes sure to go to every concert, Roxy wouldn't let her forget anyways

• she loves when all of her kids are at the house

• she is definitely a little overbearing but she does it with love

•she also loves teasing her kids with anything she finds out whether it be clubs or crushes

TL;DR: I'm an emotional wreck and this is the best album I've ever heard for so many reasons.

Haegeum??? That MV??? Never wanted to quit my job and start a gang that bullied the rich and steals their money more in my life (and trust me, that's something I've wanted to do since I was like 13). Yoongi is the only rich man I'd ever let lecture me about capitalism. He can do it all day every day. This is a fucked system, but thank you for turning me on while lecturing me about it and murdering people with some dirty chopsticks 🥴

D-Day is absolutely sick, 100% exactly what I'd expect from him. How a song can go so hard and still be so poetic to me is just insane. The beat is SICKENING. The chorus? CATCHY. 10/10 song, perfect opener to the album and set's the tone for the rest that's coming in an amazing way.

AMYGDALA had me in tears. I was literally sobbing reading the lyrics. There are no words I can say that will accurately express how I feel about this song. This song has been out for less than 24 hours and I already feel so close to it, I can't even begin to describe it. The way most of the instruments fall out in the pre-chorus just so they can all come back in the chorus for that intensity with him basically yelling the lyrics is just *chef's kiss*.

People Pt. 2 has already been out, but man that song is gorgeous. IU's vocals are such a great contrast to Yoongi's rap, and when they harmonize I wanna start crying whY DO THEY SOUND SO GOOD??!

I'M NOT KIDDING YOU WHEN I SAY I WAS CRYING, LEGIT SOBBING THE FIRST TIME I HEARD POLAR NIGHT. The instrumental is so uniquely Yoongi, and makes you feel so much. Yoongi is one of the only artists whos music makes me feel what they feel; and this song is the best representation of that. Everytime i listen to it I have to stop myself from crying and it has nothing to do with the lyrics. I cried before I even knew what the song was about, just because that's how good of a composer and producer he is. Genuinly one of the best songs I've ever heard.

I've never had an interlude make me feel so much. He's perfected the art of making his music invoke the emotions of his listeners and there's nothing more perfect than a minute-and-a-half-long interlude with no words in it that's still able to do that. Incredible.

Snooze is honestly one of the best thing's to have ever graced this planet if i'm being 100% rn. I know I keep talking about the emotion of the music but broooo. And the Woosung feature? His voice is amazing and is already so raw and emotional and paired with this song I just cannot. The lyrics make me want to sob, which I will probably do later when I get off work. And the the reference back to So Far Away? I'm on the floor someone please hug me.

Yoongi's vocals go fucking crazy in Life Goes On. If this was my introduction to Yoongi I would 100% believe that he's a singer and has been his whole life. The pure raw talent of this man will never cease to amaze me.

In conclusion, I love Min Yoongi with my whole chest and I hope he knows how much his music helps people, because it really, really helps. I can never even fully express just how this album alone helps me, that's not even speaking about all his other solo projects and the hundreds of songs he's worked on throughout his career.

Into the Reverb (Kylo Ren/Reader)

Chapter Thirteen

Anger flooded Kylo’s veins like fire as he watched Vic and Y/N talk behind the glass. He was over the flirty comments and vapid attention given to you by his bandmates. He knew his face said it all as he watched Vic’s hand fall from your bare shoulder. He barely heard your voice come through the speakers in the room.

“C’mon bro, let's do this,” Kuruk said, obvious of his plight. He grunted in agreement as he switched on the amp and hit the opening chord. Life was easier when he was playing. His anxieties always seemed to fade into the background when he had a guitar in his hands.

Today seemed different though. He tried to push down his irrational thoughts and feelings as his fingers aggressively moved across the strings and frets. He knew the song by heart, he fucking wrote it but he felt the unknown need to alter it. He wants to prove to himself and to you for some crazy fucked up reason he was better than the rest for these fuckers.

He stared at you as his fingers flew. He watched your eyes widen and Vic laugh as he stood up and walked towards the couch. He wished he could hear what was being said. He took all his emotions and poured it into the song.

He shifted his body, abs contracting as his shoulders hunched. He hit the footswitch, accelerating the beat, adding pitch harmonics and ad lib riffs to the already complex melody. He could feel Kuruk’s eyes on him as he tried to keep up. He felt a swell of pride rise in his chest as he came down from the bridge into the end of the song, letting his right hand hold the note with the whammy bar as it floated into the reverb.

As the last note floated, you were struck dumb. You probably looked like a damn fool, eyes wide and mouth slack. He has never played with such aggression before. Almost like he had something to prove.

As you watch him lift his sweaty t-shirt to wipe his face, you hear a snort of laughter behind you. “Damn he’s pissed” Trudgen said, nudging Vic in the side. You fight yourself to move your eyes from his abs to the men stationed behind you. You huff and shake your head, composing yourself.

"Damn guys” you say through the mic, saving the file in multiple places. It would be a fucking tragedy if it was somehow lost. “I think we are good for today. C’mon back and we can discuss the plan for the song.”

You hear the door open as you turn in your chair to face the band. Kuruk was all smiles, sitting on the edge of the couch. “Damn that was a ride!” he crowed, slapping Cardo’s back. Your eyes dart to Kylo.

He’s still standing, arms crossed over his heaving chest. His right hand clenching the beanie like it wronged him. His eyes were surveying the room, almost predatory. You swallow thickly and begin to speak. "Again, great job today guys. I will clean up what we have for you to review and on Thursday at 2 we will meet up for full play through. Vic and Kylo, you have a lyric recording session on Wednesday at 10. Does that work for everyone?”

You receive a myriad of okays and yeahs as the men start to clean up the cluttered lounge area. Vic gives you a look as he picks up the soda cans, but you can feel Kylo’s eyes burning into you. “I’ll see you all later then” as you open the door for them, nervous but strangely excited.

All the men leave quickly except for Kylo, his position unchanged. You shut the door silently and approach him cautiously. “Are you okay?” you say as you stand before him. You notice his shoulders are tense and eyes glued to the floor.

"Ky…” you whisper, laying a hand on his shoulder. You feel him shudder under your touch. “Kylo, talk to me” you urge softly, rubbing his tight muscles. He was quickly on you, his long arm wrapping around your waist and the other gripping the back of your head, kissing you fiercely.

It was messy. A battle of teeth and tongues. You whimper as he bites your lower lip roughly as he lifts you into his arms. You wrap your legs around him and gasp as your back hits the door. You take the opportunity to take a breath. His large body feels amazing around you.

You could feel his taut muscles under your hands and his hard cock against your inner thigh, already dangerously close to your already dripping core. “Kylo,” you moan softly, as you feel his soft lips kiss and nip at your neck. You hum as your hands move to smooth his wild sweaty hair. He finally breaks from your neck and lifts his head, meeting your eyes. You take a deep breath, trying to calm your body down. You could see his eyes lightening, just realizing what had transpired. “I’m sorry” he rasped, his forehead falling to your shoulder “I just got so angry, I’m sorry.”

Now you were really confused. “What do you mean Ky?” you ask, scratching his scalp. You feel him shift, hands tightening on your thighs. “Them. You. I got so jealous and angry, and it consumed me. I know you are just being friendly and professional with them, but sometimes…” he trailed off.

"For fucks sake, Kylo!” you scoff, pulling his hair so you could see his amber eyes. “You really thought I was flirting with them? They know we’re a thing Kylo, they were just being them.” You shift your hips slightly, rubbing against him. You smile at the sight of his eyes fluttering. “You are the only one I want,” you whisper with a soft kiss.

“Fuck Y/N” he groaned into your lips, his hips beginning to slowly thrusting against you once again. You kiss him again with renewed fervor. Your hands roam his arms and back, appreciating his form and his soft lips. He was everywhere and it was perfect. You could feel your body heating up further.

“Baby?” he whispered. “Can I take you home?”Your hands stilled on his shoulders as you looked at him. His eyes were glassy, and his lips swollen. “You really want to?” you whisper, scared to break the lust filled bubble. “I really really do” he chuckled as he wrapped his body around yours as he took big deep breaths in the crook of your neck.

You shiver as you feel his nose trace up your neck and his soft lips kiss behind your ear. He slowly let you down, letting you lean on him until you regain your footing. When he pulled away to grab his items, you stumble slightly as you go to grab yours. “Careful” he says lowly as he wraps an arm around your waist. Your face warmed at his words. “Let’s get out of here baby girl” he said with a smile as he opened the studio door.

23 - Van Halen - 1984

Starting with a sentence that is pretty much guaranteed to piss off my dad: i was never a big Van Halen fan. (Look, if you heard "Right Now" as many times as i did growing up, you'll understand.)

That said, a few of the songs on this one are among the songs by them that i do actually like, and the cover art cracks me up every time i see it.

Also, my wife is exactly one day older than this album, and i just think that's neat.

• 1984-

Spacy synthy intro song. Not what i was anticipating this album to start off like. Kinda dig it, though.

•Jump-

An absolute classic. As I'm fond of saying: "it ain't about the fall down, it's about the bounce back", and that's the whole idea of this one.

Also, that guitar solo is fucking insane.

•Panama-

One of the songs that broke Noriega, and i think the govt used it solely because of the irony of the title being used against a Panamanian asshole dictator.

Personally, i like the idea of using songs over bombs in combat. Fewer pieces of bodies to pick up afterwards.

That said, what the actual fuck does the nation of Panama have to do with this song that's about a hot lady being described somewhat like a sports car? The world may never know.

It's a little skeevy, lyrics-wise, but overt horniness can't stop it from being an all-time banger.

Oh, that early-to-mid 80s synth. 😍

Kind of a weird one, since it's literally just about jerking off while looking at a legally-distinct-from-a-Playboy magazine. Not the best song on the album, for sure, but it's interesting enough to keep my attention.

I still can't believe this was a single, though.

So, yeah, this album is pretty fucking great, (surprising nobody, considering it's their best-selling album).

Funny (but also lame as shit) fact: "The front cover was censored in the UK at the time of the album's release. It featured a sticker that obscured the cigarette in the putto's hand and the pack of cigarettes.".

For real... Are y'all okay over there?

Favorite Track: Hot for Teacher. Every aspect of it just kicks ass.

Least Favorite Track: House of Pain. On one hand, it's creepy. On the other hand, it's very creepy.

but they're both the older more experienced mentor figures to the two central attorneys in the story and they're perfect contrast, mia is very warm and watchful and papa is a lot more cold and reserved even in his love. mia's a bit of a mess but she cares about truth and justice more than anything, and papa is precise and perfect but he only cares about winning. its really good

mia is often referred to as a light or compared to light, and papa is a shadow. mia illuminates the way when phoenix is feeling lost, and papa is this lingering darkness that we don't see until the final act because he is gone in the dark. and then we ALSO find out he was the shadowy gunman in the dark corner of this cold case all along, hidden in a literal blackout and gone into the night.

again no one ever talks about this. i get kinda mad that no one ever does cause its so compelling to me! but. but.
