Sometimes I will think about something I'm dealing with and wonder what Ryn would think or say, or what I would do if they were here and tonight I remembered again the conversation with the oncologist, about the tiny tiny tumor in their lungs that was only found with the autopsy, that wouldn't have been picked up in scans for months, and asking her about the long term prognosis.

Even if Ryn hadn't died because of the surgery, they'd almost certainly be dead by now anyway.

I was always going to have to do this (for whatever value of this) without them.

i am like two seconds away from writing another urinetown fanfic but this one is going to be literally just about officer lockstock knitting. fucking sue me. he knits a fair isle sweater for little sally. he mends her bear. he very sheepishly makes a pair of gloves for hope because he doesnt want her hands to get cold. barrel's head is always shaved and he always complains about his ears being cold so lockstock makes him a hat. on his breaks he putters away at bigger projects like a fishermans sweater for himself, or a blanket he's making for his living room couch. he goes home and sits in His Armchair with the lamp next to him and his glasses down to his nose and kicks up his feet on a foot stool and he knits while watching the evening news. i wish i could draw because my sketchbook would be filled with just those sketches. im going through a phase okay.

if erwin wore sweaters, levi would steal them religiously and then refuse to admit that that's what he's done. levi has a thing for holding on to the clothes of people that he loves, even in peaceful times, and he likes feeling closer to erwin, but like hell would he ever say that out loud. and erwin wouldn't get it at first, he'd be very confused, one, because why is levi stealing his clothes, erwin thought levi's thug days were behind him why has he turned to crime once more, and two, the sweaters don't even fit him, they are clearly way too big on levi, it just doesn't make logical sense. and erwin would press the subject a few times, but levi just gaslights him like "i have no idea what you are talking about, this is mine." then one day, erwin walks in on levi half-asleep on the couch pulling one of erwin's sweaters tight around him, and finally, finally erwin gets it.

Magnus is so insulted. It took him three *years* to get Chairman to the point where he would come sleep with him at night, to sleep on his pillow next to him or to sleep curled up against his stomach and here comes Alec, who gets all of the cuddle privileges after a single day. Chairman doesn't only fall asleep curled up next to Alexander but even goes to fall asleep in his arms, sticking to him like glue and Magnus is rethinking his decision to have made Chairman immortal as a kitten.

(Well, he isn't but he DOES give him the slightly less fancy tuna for a whole hour just to show he's upset. Chairman Meow doesn't even notice because Alec fell asleep on the couch and his lap is warm.)
