the most frustrating thing about eclipses is how difficult it is for me to capture them on camera, including:
the way it gradually gets darker leading up to totality in a way that is different to either evening or cloud cover. the sun is still un-look-at-ably bright high overhead; there is no pink-orange light of sunset or lengthening shadows. the midday sunlight just gets dimmer, like a fading lightbulb
once totality hits, it mostly looks like dusk, except that the sunset colors are on every horizon instead of just in the west, and also what the fuck is that in the sky
similarly to trying to photograph the moon on its own, you (I) can either get a close-up shot of totality in detail with no surrounding landscape, or you can get a shot of the world around you and also some blurry white dot in the sky. not the distinct black circle with thin white ring you see in reality

(Sorta) Comprehensive Guide to Intermediate Astrology
If you are serious about Astrology I complied a short guide of dignities, aspects, houses and planet definitions
Planets
Each of the Planets hold a specific meaning in your birth chart. Moreover, each planet represents a specific “act.” Modern astrology includes Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto but because of their modern inventions we don’t have a concise and full understandings as that of the traditional planets (Sun through Saturn). Uranus, Neptune, Pluto are also a little sketch because they were tailored to signs of Aquarius, Pisces, and Scorpio who already had lords (fancy way of saying “ruler”) and as traditional astrology works each planet has a diurnal and nocturnal dignity (except the Sun and Moon). This doesn’t mean you can’t use Uranus-Pluto if you choose but also keep in mind that pinning rulerships of these planets can be quite confusing!
rulership/domicile: planet LOVES being here
fall: planet is uncomfortable but it can manage
detriment: planet is NOT comfortable being there and must use corresponding ruling planet to achieve its energies (i.e. capricorn moons must use “Saturn” qualities to do lunar things)
exalted: comfortable! planet is happy
The Sun:
Rules: Leo
Detriment: Aquarius
Fall: Libra
Exalted: Aries
Diurnal
Represents: Ego, Identity, Soul
Act: The Sun represents “action” that correspond to our identity. In a simpler way, the Sun is how we express our identity but for better purpose let’s say our sun sign is how we “show” people who we are. Sun is extroverted, and within our chart it can tell us how we want to be seen. Think about the modern mechanics of the Sun. It produces light and what does light do? It reflects. How we produce or “emit” ourselves whether its through an audience or close people is reflected back to us through responses. These responses send messages to us, which then affects our ego or way simpler, how we feel about ourselves. If you are not embodying your Sun sign then it means you’re preventing the upmost authentic version of yourself from being seen; therefore, you may be receiving “bad” or “alienating” messages that make you feel shitty about yourself. Of course, this process is more complex and it’s hard to assess whether we are embodying our Sun sign (which is why everyone should consult an Astrologer at least once in their life!). Another act Sun represents is “life” or “living.” The Sun keeps us sustained and when we lose light we lose our ability to live. Why the Sun is so important is because it reminds us of why we are here and what we are meant to do with ourselves.
The Moon:
Rules: Cancer
Detriment: Capricorn
Fall: Scorpio
Exalted: Taurus
Nocturnal
Represents: Embodiment, Emotions, Past
Act: The Moon represents “receptivity” as the Sun reflects, the Moon receives. Since the Moon is nocturnal we don’t always forward our vulnerable side. This is where we want to feel protected, where our needs lie without compromise. Due to living in a society that is very individualistic and void of emotions, we tend to distrust or “shame” our moon signs. Unfortunately, western culture does a bad job in valuing intimacy and sensitivity so we navigate as if our emotions are “bad” or “too much baggage.” Embodying our moons allows us to embody ourselves. We become more honest about what we need to feel comfort or to survive. We become more whole with the world rather than separating from it. The Moon also honors our lineages, where we come from, and how to sustain our legacy. Escaping our moon means we are escaping from ourselves. It means we tend to be in environments that pose harm/danger to us and where we don’t feel secured. Overall, its essential to embody our moons because we become more present with our bodies and have a better idea how to sustain it. Most importantly, maintaining our emotional health allows us to have more positive interpersonal relationships. We will be able to care for other people more since we will be tuned to their needs or on the flip side, we will know when to depart from others because of negative reception. Honoring your moon = protecting yourself.
Mercury
Rules: Gemini and Virgo
Detriment: Sagittarius and Pisces
Fall: Pisces
Exalted: Virgo
Adaptable (no inherent sect)
Represents: Communication, Cognitive Processing, Data
Act: Mercury represents “flexibility” as it is not chained to either a diurnal or nocturnal sect. Where Mercury lies in our chart informs us how we can “finesse” or adapt in an area of our lives. Mercury has allegiance to logic but it also shares this same honor with creativity. Some of the most creative people have a strong Mercurial influence and a fine eye towards precision and perfection. Mercury is often associated with being the “messenger” or “student” because it can take magnified information and make it more legible. For example, writers or journalists act as messengers by taking important information, simplifying it and then transporting it to the greater masses. That’s pretty much Mercury’s process. However, it can also be consumed by mindless or un-important information. The “”details””. Think of Mercury like trivia--cool but not so significant information. The biggest piece of info about Mercury is that it never departs from the Sun. Mercury can only be roughly 28 degrees from the Sun. Therefore, Mercury has a stake in how we express our identity and ego. Think about it: communication is one of the primary ways we do this. We talk about ourselves. We rant about our lives. We write about our hardships or romances. Practically everything we do involving communication tells us something about who we are as people or the worlds we lived and the lives we met. In a way, Mercury can be egotistical. Yes, we want to be heard but we must also listen.
Venus
Rules: Taurus and Libra
Detriment: Scorpio and Aries
Fall: Virgo
Exalted: Pisces
Nocturnal
Represents: Values, Social Connection, Compromise
Act: Venus works to “bind” others either through romance, familiarity, passions, or causes. Venus is a benefic which means she works to soothe and provide fertility and moisture when she can. Venus believes in egalitarian ideals. In other words, Venus says a big “fuck you” to power dynamics. She is also the planet of beauty and art. Where Venus lies in our chart not only tells us where we seek balance but also creative expression. In ways, Venus tells us about our aesthetic, our hobbies, our fashion sense. Its how we “value” tangible and intangible properties. Due to Venus’ association with womanhood, a strong or weak Venus reveals our attitudes towards femininity or women in general.  For example, Chris Brown has a Venus in domicile (Taurus) in the 10th house opposite to Pluto, the planet of power and violence. The way Chris has manifested this energy is through abuses and disrespect of women. Because his Venus is in the 10th house this is a manifestation that is very public and noticed by others thus, explaining his reputation as a total piece of shit. Values, sometimes ingrained in us at an early age, always has the ability to change. If you have shitty values chances are you aren’t kind--and kindness is one of the biggest parts of Venus. While she can be kind, Venus may prefer to be “nice” instead. Venus works towards appropriateness or within the social fabric. She does things because she is expected and it’s because what she is told to do. If you have a debilitated Venus (rx, detriment, or fall) you are more likely to give the middle finger to social norms. Because of this, Venus may be nice to keep the peace instead of kind which reflects authenticity rather than social expectations. Thus it comes down whether society’s idealization of yourself and others really matter a whole lot. The importance of mastering our Venus is being confident and kind to ourselves outside of what society tells us is beautiful or desirable.
Mars
Rules: Aries and Scorpio
Detriment: Libra and Taurus
Fall: Cancer
Exalted: Capricorn
Represents: Aggression, Entitlement, Drive
Act: Mars works to “separate” others and is largely an infertile and hot planet. Mars is often described as “malefic” because of this act. But despite its negative connotation in traditional astrology, Mars’ desire to separate may be healthy additives in our lives. I always like to think of Mars in our charts as a “knife” or more dramatically, a “sword.”  Certain situations may manifest depending where Mars is in our chart (for example: Mars in the 8th house may show situations surrounding inheritances / the “money” you were born into). These situations ultimately create inflammation and excess that require us to break away from. Relating back to the example, Mars in the 8th may indicate an inheritance to be too large that will eventually spur problems such as debt or potential “money crimes” like tax invasion (esp if Mars is aspected by Jupiter). Moreover, this placement may better function without ties to such inheritances thus requiring separation. Another example: Mars in the 11th indicates problems relating to friends and communities. Despite the fact that leaving friends behind is not ideal, it may appear as a more attractive option if you think that friend or community situations may be toxic and unhealthy for the person. Sometimes, Mars offers the knife/sword to cut ourselves from situations that are no good for us. Mars is often associated to survival--its the war planet after all. Mars in our chart thus can tell us where and what we fight for, for what we feel entitled to possess. Unlike Mercury and Venus, Mars doesn’t follow the path of the Sun so by its own volition it can be just as egotistical and individualistic. Mars is often defined by the symbol related to “manhood” although, I would expand this symbolism further and say it represents the entitlement that men often possess in our society--the entitlement to bodies, the entitlement to sex, the entitlement to space, the entitlement to opportunities. While that can drive us to be more tenacious, it can drive us to willful ignorance and violence.
Jupiter
Rules: Sagittarius and Pisces
Detriment: Gemini and Virgo
Fall: Capricorn
Exalted: Cancer
Represents: Enlightenment, Travel, Higher Education, Wealth, Governance/Laws
Act: Jupiter represents the act of “expansion.” Wherever Jupiter touches it over magnifies. In this respect, Jupiter is often seen as the “Great Benefic.” However, don’t be fooled by Jupiter. As it can bring wealth, prosperity, and joy, it can equally create overconsumption and gluttony. The axis of Jupiter is as follows: charity / selfishness. Jupiter often possess the wealth to give to everyone (think of Jupiter like Oprah who yells out to the crowd: “you get a car! “and you get a car!”); however, the darkside of a Jupiter manifestation may hoard this wealth and keep it to themselves (yes, Jeff Bezos, I’m looking at you). Outside of this dichotomy, Jupiter is often described as “optimism” because its able to look at the whole picture and accept new ideas. Rather than accepting its fate or the facts given, Jupiter wishes to change its outcome. It values diversity and higher knowledge, which requires the sharing and diffusion of ideas. For example, during 1690, John Locke published An Essay to Human Understanding which was one of the setting blocks of the Enlightenment period and essentially refuted the notion of rationalist notion of “innate ideas.” it’s no shocker that during the year of 1690 Jupiter was domicile in the sign of Pisces. Mid-18th century Europe become bombarded by dogma and challenged traditional understandings of knowledge and being. While Jupiter was not domicile, it is interesting to note that Pluto (planet of transformation) was in the sign of Sagittarius (thus Pluto responding to Jupiter) during the mid 1700s. Jupiter can hold truth, advocacy and skepticism in its wing and while we can get oversaturated by complexity and knowledge, Jupiter in our charts can tell us where to reach higher and where we want to see generosity.
Saturn
Rules: Capricorn and Aquarius
Detriment: Cancer and Leo
Fall: Aries
Exalted: Libra
Represents: Structure, Reality, Discipline
Act: Saturn represents the act of “restriction.” Whereas Jupiter is the Great Benefic and loves to expand, Saturn is more like the Great Malefic and prefers to contain what already exists. Saturn loves borders and confinement (think of prisons and fortresses) Its a cold and rigorous planet. Because it is always visible in our sky, Saturn is said to be the container of time or in other words, our reality. Saturn is also compared to architecture; it gives form and structure in our world. In medical astrology, Saturn rules our “body architecture” aka our bones and skeletal system. Thus, Saturn has symbolism related to systems and hierarchies. Saturn is not as “nice” as Jupiter and Venus so these hierarchies are often negative and power inducing; one wins, the other suffers. I usually compare Saturn to capitalism because of this very fact. The nature of the Capitalist system only benefits a specific and very small class while the rest weep and suffer. This system is unfair and in order to survive in it you have to work through its conditions. And in Saturn’s words: that’s just the cold reality of our world. So, unlike Jupiter who gives us the ability to see the world as something that can be changed, Saturn gives us the realistic picture and the facts can be overwhelming and depressing. Thus, Saturn has stakes in pessimistic attitudes. Its only way to success is working alongside the rules. Saturn is often compared to an authority figure and when we don’t do what we are suppose to do (which in Saturn’s terms is working ourselves to death) then during every 7 years when our first Saturn square hits we go through a “maturity cycle” and every 28-29 years our Saturn return welcomes us (or drags us) into another big stage in our age development. Saturn’s association with old age informs us that Saturn gets a bit gentler with age but the crises that erupts when you get an inch closer to death never ceases to exist. Despite all of this, Saturn can be mobile. One of the good things about Saturn is that you CAN move up the ladder when you put the work in. Good doings will reward you with rewards. Bad doings will reward you with consequences aka what you reap is what you sow. The Saturn in our charts can indicate areas where we suck at, and need work. It can also indicate the areas where we seek perfection and success. For example, Saturn in the fifth house indicates someone who strives for perfection in their hobbies. If an artist had a 5H Saturn they would be overcritical of their work, constantly drawing the same thing again and again until it comes out how they like it. When we do this, the leisure of art becomes grueling and hard work. Saturn takes the pleasure out of something inspiring and beautiful. However, working with Saturn in this house can create a prodigy, someone who can be the best at what they do.

The Opposition (180 degrees) and Square (90 degrees)
not harmonious aspect
indicates tension or friction
the square has more immediate friction whereas the opposition will have to be worked with overtime
Mars square Saturn indicates immediate blockages with anger and individual expression but can be mediated through activities whereas the Mars Opposition Saturn indicates a long term battle of how to correctly assert oneself and overcome the limitations set forth by society.
Saturn corresponds to the nature the Opposition. Mars corresponds to the Square
Opposition occurs within opposite signs. Square occur within signs of the same modality
square = taurus-aquarius taurus-leo
opposition = taurus-scorpio
The Conjunction (0 degrees; very close to each other)
Neutral
fusion of energy in planets which will yield strong manifestations
usually occurring w/planets about 0-10 degrees away from each other
The Trine (120) and Sextile (60)
harmonious aspect
flow of energy
can lead to innate action due to how “well” the planets work together
trine more comfortable and positive than sextile and less immediate than sextile.
Jupiter corresponds to the nature of the Trine. Venus corresponds to the nature of the sextile.

Note
how do you feel that the sun, moon, and asc are “weighted”? for instance i am gemini sun leo moon and libra asc, i feel by far the most connection with leo, but i always see way more information about sun signs. which has the most effect on personality and daily life?
Hey there! 💕❤️ Couple of things to touch on– this might turn out to be longer than expected if that’s ok 💕❤️
Beginner’s guide to Sects
+ answering the question
🚫long post🚫
First let me answer your personal questions first, it’s totally ok to relate to your moon. I mean, that’s the point? The sun usually takes a while to get to for most people, because it tends to play out throughout your life. Some might want/need to grow into themselves to find themselves. But what matters is that we have an inkling/footpath on where we’re going/who we are/what we’re doing. So that we can eventually lead ourselves to where we want to be, ought to be 💕❤️
There’s a lot of information on sun signs because sun sign astrology is very.. ‘mainstream’? 💕❤️ It’s how people who might be super detached from astrology (other planets involved) probably remember/think about astrology as a concept/subject. As well as, the sun technically being the center of well, everything. The planet evolves around the sun, the sun doesn’t evolve around the planets right? 💕❤️
But yeah there’s a lot more on sun signs than other planets. I could say it might be because people like the quick and dirty, the easily digestible and doesn’t have the time to get attached/involved in learning about other planets (very plausible, considering not everyone has the dig deeper into astrology unless they can just get their interpretations for free/quick) and the nitty gritty of it? But it could also be because technically– we’re all trying to learn more about the center of our galaxy here. Trying to move more and more towards it, but hey yeah – that’s just something that played out over time, people using sun signs to make a quick ready-to-go dish for the general population as well? 💕❤️
So. You mentioned weighted. And I’ve been wanting to talk about sect for a while now. Hence, here’s a quick and very very simplified guide to working with/talking about sect for beginners 💕❤️
Friendly Beginner’s Guide to Sects
First of all, hello! 💕❤️ When you mentioned the sun and moon, and asked how they are weighted. This is more to do with diurnal/nocturnal chart and how it might affect you. Just to clarify, this is more in the realms of traditional astrology than modern.
So if you haven’t heard of it (fear not!) i’ll talk about it now.
Step 1.
Please take a look at your chart and note where your sun is 💕❤️
What you just need to focus on is your ASC-DSC line. Your horizon and whether your Sun is above/below that line.
Say your Sun is above your ASC/DSC – you have a diurnal chart. I’d say you can tell from your time of birth, but sometimes it’s a little wonky with daylights saving. So just see where your sun is relative to your horizon line instead (also with houses, if you’re using whole signs– your asc will be marked/isn’t the start of the house. So just see where it is relative to the ASC/DSC marker).
If your sun is BELOW the ASC/DSC – you have a nocturnal chart.
Figure 1. Below is a shitty demonstration I whipped up really quickly. The left hand side is nocturnal, the sun is below the horizon. On the right hand side is diurnal, the sun is above the horizon.
Tumblr media
Step 2.
Now we look at sect. Sect usually has teams (groups/factions). Think of this as a team-sports. Dodge ball or basketball, anything that’s a team. If you’re a diurnal chart, your Sun is the captain of the team. If you’re a nocturnal chart, your Moon is the captain. On the Sun side, you have Jupiter and Saturn in your team. On the Moon side, you have Venus and Mars.
You’re either one of them – you’re a Sun team, or a Moon team. Unrelated to how you ‘feel’ about the chart.
What’s important here is that you DO have sun, moon, venus, mars, jupiter, saturn ALL in your chart. But how is it weighted? With this system, there’s favouritism. It favours a team.
You have the players ready – if your chart is a diurnal chart. It favours the diurnal side. If it’s a nocturnal chart – it favours the nocturnal side.
Usually, we say it has more power. The opposing team still functions/has a will, but relative to the one the that is favored– it may be less of a focus than you realize.
Again– this is very methodical. So regardless of how we ‘feel’ about it– this is just a technique to delineate the chart and work on it in a way. I think keeping an open-mind and trying to understand it could be helpful, particularly because we’re trying to work with what we have. And this is a system that’s impartial to feelings. Making the best of our potentials– can sometimes mean being open to learning about ourselves despite how we relate to it sometimes. But yeah hey anyways, let’s move on a little bit more
Step 2.5 - Mercury
Mercury is a different story. I’d say it’s like the referee, but it can also have allies on one side > the other. To really look/think about Mercury – see where it is relative to the Sun. If your Mercury is rising BEFORE the sun - it’s a morning star (diurnal sect) if it sets AFTER the sun – it’s an evening star (diurnal).
Figure 2. Please don’t laugh at my Mercury, But here. The top left is Mercury rising before the sun - making it a morning star. The bottom right is Mercury setting before the sun – making it an evening star. It might be more understandable visually, which is why I added it in. If you’re trying to think about it with houses/numerical order, it gets confusing. (i.e. 1->12,11,10) So look at it visually instead (i just used the previous chart so sorry about how messy it is)
Tumblr media
Step 3.
Benefic and Malefic, we often hear about it and think it’s static. Oh saturn/mars/pluto are always malefic. Hm well here’s the thing
In this case – because we’ve clearly separated each ones into teams. Saturn can indeed give more benefits than Mars in a diurnal chart. Much like how Jupiter can become a less of a good thing in a nocturnal chart. This is relative to the chart
(*also to note, the conditions of the planets, as well as how benefic Jupiter/Venus are in general, still is important/prevails – learning about this system/technique is to help us understand where to start with delineating the chart, as well as how benefics/malefics could function in sects of the chart itself.)
So, again, to recap:
Sun team - Jupiter, Saturn
Moon team - Venus, Mars
Do you want to look at my chart as an example?
Tumblr media
so here’s my chart and you can see my sun is below the horizon (ASC) so it’s a nocturnal chart.
Tumblr media
Who’s in my team? Venus and Mars.
Who’s my malefic? Jupiter and Saturn
Tumblr media
So see here. My Venus/Jupiter are conjunct to each other. While Venus is benefic to me – it’s making an aspect with a Jupiter. Since my Jupiter is domicile in Sagittarius as well – more likely than not, sometimes I /do/ suffer from giving away too much to others, or being a little more naive/believe purely in the good faith of others that I get taken advantage of sometimes. Even if it’s not to the degree of being completely ruined (that Venus working for me) – but it’s a lesson to learn/grow from.
Jupiter in 1st along with Venus, can also talk about me over-indulging in things my Venus wants to the point where my body/appearance may suffer. Sometimes it’s self-image/body dysphoria as well. Where I might gain or lose weight and try to justify that with body-image ideas , or perhaps– it’s me sometimes unnerving people with how jupiterian my 1st house is sometimes. it might not just be everyone’s cup of tea– especially those who may be shrewd/reserved or have a different position/stance/ideas than how I approach others.
Tumblr media
Here’s my Mars opposition Saturn. Mars is somewhat helpful to me in my night chart, she does alot in my favour– especially in the MC. But she opposes my Pisces Saturn in 4th – sometimes I lose, and I suffer from loses/lost of stability for the things I think me/others think I want to achieve. Sacrifices are sometimes made, others can sometimes see this lost publicly (my losses/see it as a lost). I had to choose between living closer to family, or being further away. Support system aren’t always there – feeling destabilized/mentally unprepared sometimes for changes in lifestyle/goals.
My Pisces Saturn in the 4th also talks about negligence, which can sometimes influence my decisions. As in, I don’t make decisions because I can sometimes be afraid of them/losing stability. From past experiences, I may sometimes want something so badly (the grass is always greener) but fail to appreciate what I had before/had now. Sometimes I think about the father figure– but we won’t get into that.
Tumblr media
My venus and mars are making squares to each other, at exactly 0′01. This can be constructive to me in a way – even if they’re squared and still needs working through— I have a drive/push to do better/be better. Less trusting than I realized, immense drive/will-power but also some charm that can be beneficial in presenting ideas to people. Venus in 1st and Mars in 10th, concerning Virgo Mars and Sagittarius Venus. I’m noticed for my attention to details, ‘the work speaks for itself’, quality and quantity of work. Sometimes out of the box ideas and aesthetic sense. Sticking out, saying/demonstrating what I mean. But yeah.
Step 4.
So what to do with all this? You don’t have to immediately do what I did above. You can just gather that ‘ok, so i have a nocturnal chart. What do I look at here?’ and notice your Venus and Mars first.
Take some time in noticing them, observing them. Getting to know these placements helps, because then you can look at your Saturn,Jupiter and see how it’s going/affecting you as well.
Step 5.
This is a little detail – but you can also find ‘joys’ with sects as well. As in – there’s other ways, conditions, that can be rejoiceful for the planets in questions.
Position of the planets (matching the sect of the chart, i.e. diurnal chart, with jupiter/saturn above the horizon)
Diurnal/nocturnal signs (i.e. nocturnal chart, with a Scorpio mars, Taurus venus - as opposed to Aries mars, Libra venus (diurnal))
Polarity (*some say this might correlate to the diurnal/nocturnal signs, but for distinction: i.e. diurnal chart, Aries Sun, Libra Jupiter, Aquarius Saturn vs nocturnal chart, Taurus moon, Capricorn mars, Pisces venus)

THE LONG WALK
by Danny Caing   Date Written: August 18, 2021
Time: Present Day @ 8:32 PM
Location: Lincoln Highway, Lander County, Nevada
“My name is Martin Hayshock, a Tractor-Trailer driver of Silver State Transport. I drove my shipment along Route 50 in the Nevada desert area. One night, there was a dust storm. The road was in zero visibility. So, I decided to park the truck on the side of the highway until the dust settled down. Eight hours had passed, the dusty wind becomes unstable. I could hear both sidewalls of the truck vibrating. Then I saw a faint light appeared on the right side window. I went down from the truck wearing my mask, face shield, and jacket with a hood and walked towards the glowing light using a flashlight. The road seems so thick with dust. I could barely see the highway was dark. It was a long walk as I reached the stony hill, the large bunker door opened, and I saw human figures with white outfits running towards me, their eyes flashing with light. That was the last time I could remember.”
Martin was sitting naked in the middle of a large cubicle glass. A rectangular tabloid was floating in front of him with all his belongings on the screen. He was suspicious they want to know why he runs towards their secret military bunker. He can tell that his brother is in the U.S. Marine Corps. He also served in the U.S. Army for four years in Afghanistan.
“We find it very unusual about your things. The fabric of your items of clothing does not conform to our data. We have no record of that kind of shoes. What is that metallic wrist?”
“Don't you have watches? What are you?”
“We believe that you are not from our world. Can you tell us about your planet?”
“I am an American from the United States of America. I live on a planet called Earth with one moon. Our solar system has nine planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. We have 365 and 1/4 days per year or 12 months per year. Our civilization started 10,000 years ago. The date today is August 18, 2021.”
After waiting for one hour, Martin had thought that he was talking to aliens who speak the English language.
“We have no record of your place and your time. We belong to the same planet, and we have two moons. We have 11 months per year and 30 days per month. Our solar system has Mercury, Earth, Atlantis, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Planet-X (passes by the sun every 10,000 years). Now we understand that there is a catastrophic event going to happen to our solar system soon. According to what you have just stated that Atlantis was gone, and two planets were born. We also know a massive solar storm is coming, and the sunspot of the gigantic Coronal Mass Ejection plasma. Its trajectory will directly hit Atlantis sixty years from now. We have already started evacuating to other neighboring stars hoping to find a new Earth. According to our calculations, you are 195 million years from the future.”
"Really? Are you telling me that dinosaurs are roaming around this planet now? They are fossil fuels on our machines? Are there humans on this planet 195 million years ago? Who are you?”
Later they revealed that they were human beings. The outfit was soft layers of texture with thousands of lights with different colors moving around their body. They said it was their energy projected within. When they brought Martin out from the cubicle glass, he was inside a floating glass bubble with a companion. Martin was stunned to see the Earth 195 million years ago, a thick foggy rainforest with many coconut and banana trees. There were pyramids everywhere as high as 500 meters, with light rays coming out from the top. They said it was for the atmosphere of the Earth and electricity and communication. There were dinosaurs, pterosaur, synapsid, and sauropod. They told him that humans were accidentally created from biochemical mutations of bacterias for millions of years. They eat plants and seeds. Their source of energy came from the leaves of the trees and the sea waves. When Martin saw the other moon, it was like a twin Earth. They brought Martin to their spacecraft, and he was amazed to see a floating planet-like orb. It has its atmosphere and gravity. They said that the atmosphere protects them from deadly rays and micro meteors in space travel.
Based on the records from their period, the Earth had experience CME hit for every 65 million:
1. Permian–Triassic extinction event (65 million years ago, 98% species lost)
2. Mid Permian–Triassic extinction event (130 million years ago, 32% species lost)
3. Late Devonian extinction event (195 million years ago, 85% species lost)
4. Ordovician–Silurian extinction event (260 million years ago, 97% species lost)
The coming Big One will change the Solar System forever, erasing the planet Atlantis. Venus and Mars will be born. They showed Martin a 3-D Forensic Analysis of how it will happen according to what he informed them regarding what the Solar System looks like in his period.
As the gigantic CME plasma ejected into space towards Atlantis, the planet burst into pieces creating the asteroid belt. A big chunk (the core of Atlantis) hit one of the moons of the Earth, now becomes Mars, and that is why it has a long stretch mark on the surface. The core chunk orbited around the sun as Venus. The Earth moves further away from the sun, and the original 11 months orbit changed to 12 months.
Martin asked them why they were only a few of them compared to the population on Earth is 10 billion. They said that they live up to 5,000 years, and every one of them has its duty to survive and protect the planet. They have no government, no monetary system, no religion, and no family. They all belong to one mother (all-knowing) who trains and educate them and decides what field of expertise they fit to serve. They said there were robots those days and wage war against them. From that time on, they never created a robot. Their space exploration has reached as far as Ross 104 and found no intelligent life form than most are on the primordial stage.
After the long trip, they landed on a crystal dome. They gave Martin a small limestone disc where they embedded all the information of their history and technology. After vegetarian meals, they touched his forehead before taking him back to the cubicle. Martin felt so tired and laid down on the floor and went to sleep.
Suddenly, someone was knocking at the door on the wheel side of the truck. When Martin woke up, it was the Highway Patrol Officer peeping at the window.
“Hello! Is anyone here? Please, step out of the truck with your License and Registration.”
Martin went down from the truck and handed the Highway Patrol Officer his License and Registration Document.
“I’m sorry, Sir. I overslept.”
“You are parking on the wrong side of the road.”
“There was a dust storm last night, and it was dark everywhere, Sir.”
“What dust storm are you saying? There was no dust storm last night.”
When Martin looked around, the highway was clear, and there was no dust. He thought it was just a dream last night.
“All right, listen carefully. Have your inner tire fix on a gas station 20 miles ahead. Next time, make sure you park safely. Have a nice trip.”
“Thank you, sir!”
When Martin climbed back to his truck and started the engine, he noticed a hill was glittering far away. He thought, maybe it was the heat of the sun. While driving along the highway, all he can remember last night was the dust storm. But at the back compartment seat, there was a small black limestone sparkling.

XOXO  2018
ARIES
2018 will be a year of endings and beginnings in the area of romance.   January 31st ushered in the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo, indicating the end of a love affair.    An affair that on the surface seemed to be full of mutual happiness, but if you looked deeper and further, you would have seen the flaws.   Before you’ll be ready to embark upon something new with someone else you must look to your childhood for insights into what you believed was the ideal love relationship.  These beliefs probably haven’t served you well, living by a “model standard”, consciously or unconsciously, that just doesn’t work.
When Leo retrogrades July 26th - August 18th, your old lover may return.    It’s very rarely a good idea to go back unless growth and healing has occurred.  Therefore use discernment to avoid repeating the past, giving you a chance to move forward.  By the time the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo comes around August 11th,  you should hopefully be in a better place to begin a new relationship.  If you use the “lessons” of the past as a platform to build something that is strong and mutually beneficial, happiness in love will become a reality.
TAURUS
With Jupiter in Scorpio sitting in your house of long-term love until November 8th, you’ll be motivated to transform the weaknesses in the relationship into strengths, while at the same time dealing with secrets and hidden motives.   Jealousy seems to be lurking and undermining the success of the relationship overall.  While Jupiter is retrograde, March 28th - July 10th,  it’ll be a time to delve deeper into underlying issues between you and your partner that have yet to be resolved.   Most of all deciding between the two of you and individually, what type of relationship you want that can be agreed upon.  If single this applies too.  What kind of relationship would make you happy.  This way hurt feelings can be avoided.
With Venus retrograde in Scorpio, October 5th - November 6th, be careful of getting involved in secret affairs with others, whether it’s you or your partner.   If the secret affair happens it won’t work out as expected and will cause irreparable harm, pain and sorrow, plus the affair will eventually comets light.    The “warning signs” will be there once Venus enters Scorpio September 9th until January 7th 2019.
Jupiter will leave Scorpio and enter Sagittarius November 8th for one year, putting the focus on intimate aspects of love.  This will be a time to look beyond the physical, towards a deeper more fulfilling relationship.  The concept of sensuality instead of sexuality. Learning to appreciate the person your with externally and internally.   Also considering different types of people, outside of your comfort zone, for a relationship.   Single Taurus will find long-term love traveling to far away places and with people from other cultures/beliefs.
As 2018 comes to a close you will begin a cycle of learning that true beauty/love comes from within and transcends all boundaries.
GEMINI
With Saturn joining Pluto in your house of intimate relationships, you’ll be influenced to focus on stability and commitment from the person you love.  This is good, because without a strong foundation of continuous commitment, relationships very rarely survive.   You and your partner, or individually, have to decide what you want the commitment/foundation to be. Pluto in Capricorn will bring up a great deal of fear, insecurity, doubt and issues of trust  for you to confront, so that you can also look at whether your needs are being served.    Saturn will provide the inner strength, discipline and perseverance that’s needed in order for a relationship to consistently grow, evolve and endure the “tests” of time.  This isn’t a cycle to fall into fantasy, illusion or delusion, because facing reality will empower you to overcome any and all problems in the relationship.
Once Jupiter moves into Sagittarius, November 8th for one year and in your house of long-term relationships, you should be ready for love to move up to the next level of greater honesty and belief that your partner is willing to work with you and be straightforward with their intent.   If not, don’t worry, Jupiter will bring many new potential partners into your life, who  most likely will be different from your usual choices in many ways and from different walk of life.
Most of all, you should feel more comfortable and  internally secure to be your own person in the context of love, empowering you to be yourself and maintain Unity through Diversity in 2018.

CANCER
Balance needs to be established between being detached towards your partner and being too clingy.    Somehow you have to find a “middle-ground” in 2018.    With the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius July 27th, things that have been bothering you will come to the surface to be dealt with.  Just do it gently, ,because changes have to happen, maybe even “endings” but not overnight.   Therefore, think before you express your true feelings, otherwise more harm could be done instead of good.
Both Pluto and Saturn in your house of long-term love, once again highlights change and/or upheaval.  All and everything that has been buried/ignored will slowly but surely present itself for you to deal with.  A cycle in which you must avoid being the “ostrich” with its “head in the sand”.  This isn’t necessarily going to be an easy time for long-term love, because Pluto will stay in this area of life until 2025, Saturn until 2020.
Jupiter moving into Sagittarius November 8th for one year, affects the house of romance, happiness and childhood.   An indicator that for both single and attached Cancer, it’s time to have a change of heart, in terms of who and what makes you happy in love.  The beliefs you’ve held since childhood haven’t really manifested your expectations, so you need to explore exactly what your expectations really are, then work towards them slowly.    Lack of self-worth is at the root of your problems in love.  You deserve better.  In fact this should be your mantra for 2018.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, February 15th, is likely to bring someone new, unexpected and different into your life, that may start out as a friendship and later grow into love.  When Mars retrogrades June 26th - August 27th in Aquarius, unexpected confrontations and/or news that creates it,  could arise as certain individuals from the past return.
2018 won’t be boring, but you’ll need to be “on your toes” to keep focused on what is the right thing to do that’s in your best interests.
LEO
The chances of a long-term relationship coming to an abrupt end is very likely in 2018, especially around the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on July 27th.    Although unexpected in some ways, the end was actually really obvious, if you’d been paying attention, especially in communication.  What you say, how you say it and the affect, past and present conversations included.  When Mars retrogrades in Aquarius, June 26th - August 27th,  some type of conflict or untimely revelation can be expected, leading to confrontation and /or unsettling scenarios in this part of your life, so be prepared.     If you look back to February 15th, around Valentines day, events that occurred during that time (New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius), were the writing on the wall.
Jupiter will move into Sagittarius for one year on November 8th, residing in your house of romance, risk, happiness and childhood.   This means there will be plenty of people available and willing for dates, a chance to interact with many different types of people. In fact you could find love on vacation to a faraway place, with someone you never imagined would be relationship potential.  An opportunity to have a great deal of fun.    However, remember Jupiter is a “magnifying glass”, highlighting strengths and weaknesses,  As a result, you may fool yourself into thinking you’re happy with the dating world at your feet, but deep down you could find yourself wanting more depth and closeness.   The key with Jupiter in this house,  is to face Self and be more honest about what you want in love and be willing to expand your horizons to get it.   With Jupiter in this house at the end of the year, you should at least try because ultimately you are the Creator of your happiness/unhappiness. You’re no longer a child, but an adult and it’s up to you and you alone to encompass a broader perspective of love relationships and to stop deluding Self.
VIRGO
Saturn has joined Pluto in Capricorn -December 9th 2017 - December 17th 2020 and Pluto until 2025, urging you to become more disciplined, persevering, patient and committed to working towards greater happiness with your partner, consistently creating a strong solid foundation of love.  Yes. you will be faced with fear, insecurity and doubt, carried with you from childhood, but this is nothing you can’t confront and overcome, if you’re willing to try.
Neptune in Pisces remains in your house of long-term love until end of March 2025.  An indication that the realities of being in a long-term relationship are being presented for you to focus on.   As this is also the house of open enemies, you’ll have to deal with people you know who don’t have your best interests at heart when it comes to this particular area of life.  These individuals will be revealed during this cycle, as the “veil”is lifted.  .  These are people who really don’t want you to be happy in love and will consistently  try to erode your self-worth and self-confidence and ultimately create sorrow and self-undoing if you listen to their so-called “good advice”.  When Neptune retrogrades in Pisces,  June 18th - November 20th, you’ll repeat this type of experience with certain individuals.  Also be warned, if you have anything hidden, that your partner should know about, Neptune in Pisces will bring it to light eventually, as long as it resides in this house.  Better the truth comes from you, instead of via some other source.
2018 is the year to see the “beauty” in long-term love and the person you choose to be with, internally and externally and have realistic expectations of what can be achieved when love prevails between you and your partner.   Learning that love is the most powerful force in the Universe, when felt and demonstrated in its purest and highest form.  Therefore, work towards developing a strong spiritual bond with your partner, that has the power to obliterate all negativity internally/externally.
Tumblr media
LIBRA
With Uranus in Aries affecting long-term partnerships, until May 15th, then again November 6th - March 7th 2019, how you conduct yourself in extended love relationships will change.  It’s a sign to be more wary of people you’re attracted to and bring into your life for close attachment.    Realizing it’s important to be your own person with the person you love so that you’re able to complete your life purpose.  When Uranus moves into Taurus on May 15th, then March 7th 2019 - July 2025, the worth and value of intimate partnerships will become an even bigger priority .  This aspect will empower you to align yourself with someone who enhances your life and doesn’t trample on your self-worth/confidence.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius February 15th, will be in your house of happiness, risks, love, childhood and creativity.  This is a “message” from the Universe to focus on your unique Self  in order to be fulfilled/happy on a deeper level.  To be responsible for loving yourself first and foremost  without feeling the need to look to others or depend on them for approval or self-worth.    This aspect begins a cycle of empowerment, whereby you can move towards attracting/being around people of like-mind, who are a strong positive influence and will help you become more of your own person.
When Mars retrogrades in Aquarius June 26th - August 27th, some aspect or past love you thought made you happy could return.  However, tread with care and be cautious about repeating mistakes from the past.   The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius will bring an end to a cycle of this person or similar individuals coming into your life, at least the worst of it should be over.
2018 is a year to create, mold and shape your happiness, love and life to be the best it can be.
SCORPIO
When Uranus moves into Taurus, May 15th - November 6th, into your house of personal relationships, you’ll be influenced to reassess whether or not the people you choose to love have anything positive to offer, or helped to implement a solid structure/foundation between the two of you.    You’ll  have plenty of time to figure this out and the Universe will put you to the “test” throughout the cycle.
The “lesson” to be learned here is to not waste time with people just for the sake of a physical experience and expect to be fulfilled on a deep level for any great length of time.   It’s time to look for potential and existing partners who have more depth of character and integrity.
With Neptune in Pisces in your house of love until mid 2025, you’ll be going through a reality check, learning/seeing how you are your own worst enemy when it comes to love, having unrealistic expectations and giving people qualities t hey don’t have. Then becoming resentful when the object of your affection can’t live up to your standards or provide what you want the most.   Therefore, 2018 is a time to take responsibility, realizing that to a large degree you are the Cause of the Affect and the Creator of your happiness or unhappiness.
Regardless of whether you want just a quick romance or something long-term, there must be a strong foundation mutually agreed upon, that makes you both happy.  Nothing less will do.
SAGITTARIUS
Uranus in Aries in your house of romance indicates that as much as you want to change certain aspects of your love-life, you can’t do it overnight, it has to be implemented with forethought, especially if there is someone else involved, otherwise you could cause unnecessary hurt and sorrow.    Uranus in Aries remains  in this area of life until May 15th then November 6th - March 7th 2019, so you still have time left to do what needs to be done.    Acting on impulse where love is concerned very rarely has a positive outcome if patience and a peaceful demeanor isn’t incorporated. Therefore avoid acting in a way that causes others to react against you, which in turn defeats the purpose of the very thing you want to manifest.     When Mercury retrogrades in Aries, March 22nd - April 15th, be very careful what you say and the affect of your words.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer July 12th, could initiate the renewal of a deep relationship with someone you care about past or present, giving you a chance to clarify your true feelings about Self and the person.   If everything goes well, a major positive transformation could take place and set the tone for a more unifying and empowering love relationship.    On the other hand, you could end up being “set free” from individuals that are not “healthy” in mind, spirit or Soul, that do more to bring you down than make you happy.
You’ll know when the time comes what to do and decisions to make, leaving room for true love to come into your life.

CAPRICORN
With Uranus moving into Taurus May 15th - November 6th, the March 7th 2019 - July 2025,  the lessons you learned growing up about love and how/if they apply now will become important.    You’ll begin to realize that being with someone whose character brings worth and value to the relationship is a major key to happiness, as well as being an individual, adding strength and value to the relationship.  This allows both people to bring a wealth of positive energy to the partnership, supporting growth of each other and creating a formidable team, with the power to overcome undermining influences.   Any type of negativity lying or dishonesty, whether from you or your partner will only serve to erode the positive aspects of the relationship. Something to bear in mind this year.
While Uranus is still in Aries, it will continue to affect your foundation of life, indicating that changes are going to happen between now and the end of the Uranus in Aries cycle March 7th 2019.  These changes will also set the tone for Uranus moving into Taurus at that time.  Hopefully the alterations will remove negativity that has kept your foundation of life stagnant and affected new beginnings.
The New Noon Solar Eclipse in Cancer July 12th, will be a sure sign that these changes are happening. The Eclipse occurs in your house of long-term partnerships/open enemies, a time when certain irritants affecting this area of life will being to be removed and be replaced by individuals who support nurturing partnerships and have your best interests at heart, especially people in authority/power.    Once things start to improve there will be a “ripple affect” into your love-life, bringing comfort, fulfillment and emotional balance on deeper levels.
This experience will show, that regardless of your experiences growing up with family, that affected how you feel/interact in love, you have the power to chart your own course and create your visions of happiness/love.
AQUARIUS
The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo  January 31st, initiates the end of a certain direction you’d been moving towards that certainly did not bring happiness and affected love in your life.  A time when certain “friends” had to be let go because they didn’t have your best interests at heart.  Open enemies. By the time the New Moon Solar Eclipse  occurs on August 11th, you’ll be in a better place to start focusing on rebuilding your love-life and long-term relationships. The “lessons” being, you can’t allow “friends” to have that much affect or “power” in your love-life/happiness, to the degree it not only has a debilitating affect overall and you get misled off on tangents to nowhere.    When Mercury retrogrades in Leo July 26th - August 18th, certain lovers/partners could return to cause unhappiness and chaos. See them in their true colors and for who they really are.  Importantly, don’t allow them to linger too long in your life. You know what you and it’s  important you stand up for it.
For Aquarius, 2018 is a year of dramatic and maybe life altering changes on many levels    Therefore to know what you want and who you want in your life to make you happy is really what counts. You cannot allow people who have ulterior motives or agendas to enter your life,  stand in your way or impede your personal happiness.
PISCES
For Pisces in love, 2018 is about being emotionally confident to nurture romance in the direction that’s the highest and best. Realizing there are certain family and childhood experiences that  have left a “mark/scar”  on the heart and the way you perceive love and interact on this level.  This is especially connected to your mother in some capacity.   Its about learning how to communicate your needs in a healthy balanced way, that the person you love can understand, then both of your needs can be served.    This is the best course of action in order to avoid retreating into a “shell” of deep hurt and sorrow.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer July 12th, marks the beginning of a cycle  where you should feel the emotional power/strength of this aspect influencing you to be more independent in romance and not so needy.  To love Self first which will give you the strength to build a healthy strong love relationship with another person.
Remember, it’s not necessary to be a martyr for love, giving too much of Self and getting little or nothing back in return. A person that takes and gives nothing is to someone to be with or have in your life.
This is the blueprint you must embody in 2018, if you want to be happy in a long-term love relationship.

Zodiac Signs: Astrology Basics
There are four parts to astrology which include the planets, the signs, the houses and the aspects. We will look at each of these individually to get a better understanding of how everything comes together when studying astrology.
Tumblr media
For the purposes of astrology, there are still nine planets — even though whether or not Pluto is actually a planet has been up for debate over the past decade. Most recently, it was deemed a dwarf planet. Regardless, astrologers would have still used the same data regarding the planets and their relevance to astrology for centuries.
Let’s start with the sun and move through the planets, touching on the rules and how often it changes signs:
1. The sun rules your basic personality and changes between the signs on a monthly basis.
2. The moon rules moods and emotion. Even though the moon passes through phases throughout the month, it actually changes astrological signs every two to three days.
3. Mercury rules mind and one’s ability to communicate. You’ll see Mercury changing signs about every three to four weeks.
4. Next up is Venus. Naturally the planet, also named for a Roman goddess, rules love and attraction. She changes signs every four to five weeks.
5. Mars rules over your drive and energy and switches signs every six to seven weeks.
6. Jupiter presides over luck, growth and wisdom. There is a huge jump in time and Jupiter changes signs every twelve to thirteen months.
7. Saturn rules over discipline, challenges and fears. The planet passes through one sign every two to three years.
8. Uranus rules change and originality, which switches signs every seven years. Neptune is the planet for dreams and healing. It changes signs every ten to twelve years.
9. Finally, we get to the dwarf planet, Pluto. It’s responsible for power and transformation and changes signs every twelve to fifteen years, though this can vary somewhat.
---
The further you get away from the sun, the slower the planets rotate around it, which is why those that are way out there only changes signs every few years. As you can see, each of the planets (as well as the sun and the moon) in their respective sign and house at any given time can have a major impact on your life. For instance, have you ever noticed how your mood or emotion can be affected by whether the sun is waxing or waning?
Personally, as a Pisces, the moon has a rather large impact on my mood and I’ve found I’m much more emotional when the moon is full. I’m also far more inspired to write, so even though it can be an emotional time, it is also great for creativity! Let’s consider that a win.
Now that we’ve covered the planets (the energies), let’s talk about the houses in which they reside. There are twelve houses, one for each astrological sign. Unlike the actual astrological signs, the houses are simply numbered and have no name. On the astrological chart or wheel, the houses are arranged in a circle. It is not the same as the well-known zodiac wheel, however. The zodiac wheel correlates to the Earth’s rotation around the sun. The wheel of houses is directly related to the twenty-four hours it takes the earth to rotate on its axis. This is where the explanation can get a little tricky!
The zodiac wheel and the wheel of houses join together. Picture them as two cogwheels. Separately, they can spin on their own, but when they are joined and turn in unison, they rotate the zodiac signs through the houses. A good example of this is two Pisces. According to most astrologers, all signs are compatible with four signs in total, including their own. Technically, those two Pisces should get along, have similar personalities and matching moods throughout the cycle. This is not necessarily true, however. If Pisces number one was born under the fish sign in the twelfth house, and Pisces number two was born in the first house, this would have created two incredibly different people.
This example circles back to the mention of daily horoscopes being too general. Those are written under the assumption that everyone under that sign was born in the same house. It just doesn’t happen that way. This is not meant to knock daily horoscopes. I get them delivered to my inbox every day and still read them. Some days, they seem pretty accurate. Others, not so much.
Because each house contains a lot of detail, we are going to briefly cover them. It is important to note here that of the twelve houses, there are four that are considered the most important. They are the first, fourth, seventh and tenth.
1. The first astrological house represents the self. This is one of the most important houses because it has everything to do with you. It can include the physical body, appearance, self-image and self-identity. The planets in this house have a great influence on personality and how others see you.
2. The second house is all about what you value. From money to possessions and talent to self-esteem. The second house kind of piggybacks off the first in that it is about you, but it is self-value over personality. Possessions in the second house include anything you might own from clothes to houses. The second house also presides over how you spend and gain money. It also deals with your own attitude toward possessions, wealth and how you accumulate it.
3. The third house is that of communication in your environment. This can include coworkers, family and friends. The third house covers all forms of communication within your environment, which encompasses phone, messages, writing and even gossip.
4. House number four, also one of the most substantial of the twelve, deals with all things associated with your home. This involves both the childhood and the present home. It also encompasses family, morals, and your roots. The fourth house is said to determine where you will go at the end of your life.
What’s amazing about this house is that it also rules where you come from. It touches on reincarnation and past lives, meaning if you believe in that, the fourth house will carry any karmic baggage left over from any one or all of your previous lives. Whether or not you believe in past lives has little to do with the effects of the fourth house. It deals in your emotions, subconscious and home life. It is said the fourth house can also have an effect on your parental relationships.
5. In the fifth astrological house, we see creativity, pleasure and children. This includes love, hobbies, drama and even gambling. This is where everything is all about you and enjoying every aspect of your life. This house is not considered one of the most essential houses, but it is where romance, love and sexual relationships rule. Oddly enough, marriage is not considered in the fifth house, but in the seventh. When the wheel was created, marriages were contracts, not a sign of love and devotion to another person, which is why it falls in the seventh, which we’ll discuss shortly.
6. Day to day routines, diet, health and sickness fall under the sixth house. This includes your job, taking care of family and the mundane daily tasks like cleaning house. This house covers the quality of your work and how much you put into these routines.
7. On to the seventh house. Remember, this is one of those considered to be especially significant. As we touched on in the fifth house, the seventh is where marriage and personal relationships flourish or diminish. Lucky number seven has to do with cooperation in relationships, business partnerships, and marriage. It can also be where divorce, law suits, enemies and quarrels take place.
Where the fifth house refers to love, the seventh is where we build long lasting or permanent relationships. Once a couple has married, for instance, we can safely say that they’ve moved from the fifth to the seventh house. Here, you will see cooperative relationships, sharing and clues as to any issues that may arise in marriage or any other relationship.
8. Remember how we talked about the second house ruling individual possessions? The eighth house is the polar opposite of the second. This is where joint possessions come into play. For example, joint bank accounts, homes owned by a couple, etcetera. This house is also quite confusing. It seems everything that resides within it has nothing in common with each other, or everything within it is negative.
This house governs taxes, wills, death, sexual intercourse, bankruptcy, personal sacrifice and clairvoyance. It’s quite a ragtag group of things we’ve listed. On the plus side, this house is also about transformation and healing. It could be recovering from the death of a loved one or a personal sickness. It is a house of transformation, so while many of the things listed in this house are daunting or flat out depressing, it is where we can become more powerful and it should not be taken for granted or feared.
9. From the transformative eighth house, we move into the ninth house which deals with religion, learning, morals, philosophy, travel, dreams, visions and the higher mind. This is where we find wisdom, publish books, participate in ceremonies and rituals. Number nine is where big ideas and thoughts happen. Ultimately, this house is the things we encounter when searching for meaning in life or things that occur within it.
10. Of the twelve houses, number ten is the last of the four, highly essential houses. Why, you ask? Because this is where honor, status, reputation, professional careers and prestige reside. This isn’t about gaining material things, but more for the success of social status and honor. Ten is where your sense of duty, respect for authority figures and social responsibilities lives. This covers the public aspects of your life as opposed to the daily mundane routines as discussed in the sixth house.
11. The eleventh house is that of larger groups like communities and memberships. This is where hopes, goals, and humanitarian efforts thrive.
12. Finally, we’ve come to the twelfth house. Here we see (or not) the hidden self that includes the subconscious, our unconscious mind, habits from the past, karmic debt, spiritual realization and even mental illness. The twelfth house is also considered humanity’s collective unconscious.
Within the houses we see our astrological or zodiac signs. We’ll cover them in depth throughout the rest of this book.
Before we delve into the awesomeness that is each astrological sign, we will talk a little bit about the aspects, which is the flow of force between the planets. Aspects are important when it comes to the interpretation of an astrological chart. What the aspects are going to tell us are whether or not we will struggle or if we will be at ease.
There are other, much more detailed things to discuss when it comes to aspects. In simple terms, they are the connection between two or more planets. Aspects also cover degrees of angularity, conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions. These are the things an astrologer will be able to explain in greater detail. For all intents and purposes what we need to know is that aspects have a major effect on an astrological reading and are key players in astrology as a science.

Natal Chart Report
What follows is your personal natal chart information, as well as interpretations of the positions and aspects in your chart. With this report, you will find out the positions of the planets in your natal chart by sign. The most personal of these are the Sun sign, Moon sign, Mercury sign, Venus sign, and Mars sign. Most people already know their Sun sign. If your time of birth is known, you will also find out your Ascendant, or rising sign, as well as the positions of the planets in the houses of your chart. Aspects between the planets are also listed and interpreted.
If the birth time is unknown, you may not know the Moon sign for certain. This is because the Moon changes signs approximately every 2-½ days, making it quite possible that someone is born on a day in which the Moon sign changes. Less probable but still possible is a change of signs for the other planets and luminaries, depending on the planet itself (example the Sun changes signs every 30 days or so). For an unknown time, on some birth dates the Moon may be in one of two possible signs. The possible range for Moon signs can be determined by noting the sign at 00:01 and also at 23:59.
Each paragraph of interpretation refers to an individual position in your chart. All of these positions and aspects are some of the “parts” that make up a “whole”–you! Some of these interpretations will be contradictory, just as people are contradictory. A person can be downright timid in love, and that same person can be aggressive in business. Not only that, we evolve and grow throughout our lives, facing challenges that help us to handle our positions and aspects in a different way. We all have choices, and one of the largest benefits of astrology is the ability to understand ourselves better so that we can work with our natal charts rather than against them. Any computerized report that interprets the individual placements in a natal chart is somewhat disjointed, simply because the different parts that make up the whole are not synthesized.
Some of the interpretations that follow are detailed, while others are brief. You can do some further reading about different positions (such as Moon in Libra, Saturn in the 10th house, Moon conjunct Mercury) in your chart by exploring our own site, other astrology sites, and by reading astrology books.
The tables here show the technical details of your natal chart, personalized based on your birth data. Below the tables is your free birth chart report.

Planet Positions, Ascendant, & Houses
The following table shows the position of the planets in your chart, by sign and degree. On the right, you will find the sign of your Ascendant and the signs on the cusp of each house in your natal chart. The Roman Numerals refer to the houses, where the Ascendant is also the first house and the Midheaven is also the tenth house. For example, if the sign Taurus is next to Mars, you know your Mars is in Taurus. If the sign Libra is next to Venus, you know your Venus is in Libra. If Cancer is next to Ascendant, you have a Cancer Ascendant, and if Leo is next to II, Leo is on your 2nd house.

The Sun represents vitality, a sense of individuality and outward-shining creative energy.
• Sun in Pisces •
As the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, Pisces contains within itself a little experience of all the signs. This gives Pisces Suns the ability to identify with people from all walks of life–from all backgrounds–in some way. These individuals are not only changeable and adaptable, they have open minds and tremendous understanding. But Pisces itself is often misunderstood. Pisces Suns may spend a good portion of their lives yearning for understanding, and the other part in a state of divine discontent. Suffering is sometimes glamorized in the Piscean world.
Sun in Pisces people are frequently pegged as wishy-washy, but this is all a matter of opinion. What you will find behind a vaguely directionless, spacey manner is a deep person with real dreams. Their dreams are more than getting that picket fence or making it up the corporate ladder. Pisces are tuned in to a higher purpose and their dreams transcend the individual. A deep love for humanity, and compassion that knows no bounds is found with this placement of the Sun. Pisceans are not known to be cutthroat business types, nor are they given to throwing themselves out into the world in an aggressive manner. But make no mistake about it, Pisces can be extraordinarily successful when given the chance to express themselves. The arts, marketing, music, teaching, drama, healing arts…these are all fields in which Pisces can find expression. Their imagination, attunement to humanity, and remarkable intuition endow them with enviable gifts of insight and creativity.
Pisces is a sensitive sign–both sensitive to criticism and sensitive to others’ feelings. Easily touched by human suffering, at least in theory, Pisces wouldn’t hurt a fly. They believe in people, are deeply hurt by compassionless human behavior, and have a hard time saying no. Harsh realities are avoided either through escapist behavior or self-delusion; but every now and again reality does raise its ugly head, and hits Pisces over the head. This is a sad time indeed. Pisces retreats into their own world, self-pitying and giving pep talks to themselves (“I will never trust again!”). Rest assured, though, that these periods are rather short-lived and even useful. Pisces seems to derive energy from their (generally short) bouts of self-pity. They come back stronger, with a spring in their step, ready to face the world again, and just as, if not more, compassionate and trusting as they were before. Some might even wonder if Pisces finds pleasure in suffering. Sometimes this is the case, but most of the time, Pisces pulls a lot of creative energy from sadness. Pisces is the poet or artist with angst, although this trait is often more apparent with Moon in Pisces.
Some find Pisces’ tendency to be late for appointments, spaced out behavior, and absent-mindedness amount to irresponsibility. Pisces would be shocked to know this, however. Who me? Pisces wonders. Irresponsible? Pisces Suns absolutely care–their love knows no bounds–but their retreats from ordinary life (whether they are as simple as daydreams or actual departures) that they so seem to need every now and again are not always understandable to no-nonsense signs, such as Virgo or Aries. Many Pisces seem almost allergic to things like shopping lists, maps, directions, and instructions, and for some brave souls, even watches – they prefer to feel their way through life than to follow some plan. We find plenty of artists, poets, and musicians with Sun (and other personal planets) in Pisces. Piscean themes are woven throughout the songs of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, for example.
Short description:
She is compassionate and sentimental. She likes isolated occupations: administration, archives, history. Spirit of self-sacrifice.
Weaknesses: tendency to be led astray, lack of experience or inability to apply experience practically. Lethargy, over-sensitivity and emotionalism.
Sun in XII
You have a tendency to be introspective and need some space and seclusion in order to pull up your strength. You may avoid the spotlight, and if you do find yourself in a public role, you tend to hide your true self behind that role! Because your will is directed inwards, you need to find a path for yourself that allows you to “get away from it all” at least some of the time. Honor your need to be alone with yourself, but avoid over-identifying with your inner world to the point that you truly feel alone in a crowd. You shine when you serve others in some way. Your compassion sets you apart from others, but try to work with it rather than let your compassion work against you by reinforcing your own sense of loneliness.
237 Sextile Sun - Uranus
It is natural for you to question tradition. You are, above all things, an individualist. You naturally rebel against that which is established. It doesn’t mean that you consistently break all the rules, but you definitely do question some of the rules, especially those that simply don’t make much sense. You possess a huge distaste for routine. You work best when you have some say as to when and how you get things done. You possess much self-integrity. You avoid labeling people and are most offended when others attempt to label or stereotype you.
You easily embrace new ways of doing things, you stick up for the underdog, and you express yourself in unique and inspiring ways. You don’t have to try to stand out as unique–you are original, creative, and progressive without trying. You are far from pretentious. You value honesty and truth, and you avoid putting on airs. You believe in the equality of people, and easily relate to people from all walks of life. You possess an unmistakable enthusiasm about life, and generally your life is interesting because you invite unusual or adventurous experiences into your life. You are generally appreciated by others because you are open-minded, fair, and not judgmental. Nothing really seems to faze you! You take things in stride, and are rarely shocked or taken aback by human behavior.
The Moon represents the emotional responses, unconscious pre-destination, and the self-image.
• Moon in Virgo •
Lunar Virgos find security in the little things in life. They feel most content when they’ve straightened out all the details of everyday life. Many of them enjoy running errands, paying bills, and balancing the books. They take care of these things happily, although some won’t let on. In fact, many Lunar Virgos are quite practiced at nagging and complaining. As long as they are appreciated, however, these people will help you take care of your life, too. They are at their best when they feel useful and needed. If somebody needs help, they are generally the first to jump up and take on the task.
Some people with Virgo Moons are accused of being underachievers. While it may be true that Lunar Virgos can lack self-confidence, many are–quite simply–content with living “regular”, unassuming lives. They appreciate simplicity, and are often most comfortable when they’re not getting too much attention from the world at large. Lunar Virgos are easily overwhelmed by pressure and stress. They worry incessantly when there is too much to think about; and they know their limits. Arguably the worst position for a Lunar Virgo is without a steady routine or a simply satisfying job. They need to feel useful, and they best express this by helping others in little ways. They need something to call their own, and the space to do what they want to do. The unhappy Lunar Virgos are fussy and complaining sorts. They are victims of routine and freak out when their plans are not followed. They are restless and nervous, and can’t seem to see the big picture. Probably the best remedy for these people is a job or hobby in which they can express their deep need to analyze, attend to details, and micromanage.
These people express their affection for the people they care about in little, but practical, ways. They can be a little stiff when it comes to open, gushy displays of affection. Lunar Virgos are often shy with new people. However, when they are comfortable, they are anything but shy. More often than not, others can count on Moon in Virgo people. They are reliable and trustworthy. Above all else, Lunar Virgos are practical. Others turn to them for help and advice. In relationships, Lunar Virgos can be self-effacing and kind. Some are quite shy in love, and easily intimidated on a sexual level. Many are not very comfortable with their sexuality, but they aim to please nonetheless. The sign of Virgo is very body-aware, in general. If this awareness combines with a lack of self-confidence, Lunar Virgos can be too aware of the parts that make up the whole. This can lead to a tendency to be intensely self-critical. Once Lunar Virgos learn to come out of their shell, however, they can be earthy partners with a lot to give.
Some of the most skeptical people are Lunar Virgos. They can’t help but poke holes when faced with others’ blind faith. Their criticism can be maddening, and their insistence on seeing the practical in anything emotional can be challenging, especially if you are the dreamy type. Virgo curiosity shows up big time with this position of the Moon. To some, it can be confusing. Lunar Virgos seem very interested in others’ problems, for example, but can be quite cool and even unsympathetic in the long run. Their advice can seem hard to more sensitive folk; yet Lunar Virgos can be surprisingly delicate when faced with others’ criticism. Virgo Moon people are generally busy and quietly happy when they have their lives under control. They aim for a simple existence, and are often quite content with very little. Many are early risers, ready to take on the day with enthusiasm. They scurry around, keeping busy and managing their life quietly and expertly. As long as their little world is manageable, Lunar Virgos can be a delight to be around.
Short description:
She has a very good memory. Scientific or medical studies preferred above all others. She is humble and moderate, calm and reserved. Emotional discipline. She is willing to help, devoted and gentle.
Weaknesses: servile nature, frequent changes of occupation, gets annoyed, upset, worries. She is too shy.
Moon in VI
Is not always a natural leader, but succeeds in being the right-hand of an important person. In most cases, she is an employee, worker etc. usually by choice. She likes the country, respects Nature and likes animals.
You have an emotional need to be useful, to work productively, to be organized and on top of things, and to lead a healthy life. If these matters are chaotic in your life, it’s a symptom of emotional unrest. You need a lot of variety on the job–to be stimulated and engaged in order to feel happy. Some of you might seem to change jobs often, forever in search of the “perfect fit” job. Acceptance that any job requires some level of routine is hard for you. You are very sensitive, and especially aware of minor health annoyances or body aches and pains. Some of you have hypochondriac symptoms. Some attempt to get out of things they don’t want to do by emphasizing health problems or even exaggerate illnesses in order to gain sympathy. At your best, however, you’re a person who always helps out and shows your affection for others in practical ways in order to help them solve problems and improve their lives.
25 Trine Moon - Mars
You are a passionate person who loves life. Although your emotions are powerful and immediate, your passion is generally controlled and directed. You are a sexual person who nevertheless doesn’t get too carried away or controlled by your passions. Because your emotions are strong and you know how to channel them into constructive channels, you don’t easily understand such things as “crimes of passion”, impulsive behaviors, or emotional excitability in others. You’re generally open, accepting, and natural in your sexual expression. You need an emotional connection in order to feel complete on a physical level. You may have an affection and talent for sports, but other factors in the natal chart are necessary to provide the motivation and commitment.

Venus in XI
Successful professional life in great part due to good relationships, friends or patrons. She finds love in the circle of friends.
The friendship level of your relationship needs to be genuine in order for you to sustain romantic interest. You tend to focus on a person’s unique qualities – those traits that make him or her stand out – as the most attractive. Your relationships must possess some kind of unconventional element in order to keep your interest levels high. Calves and ankles are either erogenous zones for you, or parts of your body that are particularly attractive! You may meet lovers through group activities. Although you value friendships and group affiliations highly, you might jump into friendships without considering the responsibilities they might entail.
-34 Square Venus - Mars
While she is passionate, she likes carnal desires and voluptuousness above all. She may go to excess and is often unsatisfied.
Whether it’s an infatuation or a full-blown love affair, relationships get you out of bed in the morning. You are passionate and seem to need an active romantic and sexual life to drive you. Often, this area of life is somewhat challenging, especially in youth. As much as you want to be involved in a passionate affair, your timing can be off and/or it’s difficult to find a relationship that mirrors your strong desires and expectations. Especially when you are young, there can be a real awkwardness with your social skills–this may or may not be apparent to others.
You are highly creative and generally are driven to express that creativity. Your passion for romance is often channeled into your creative output. For example, challenges in relationships may be a large part of the drive behind your poetry, music, or other art.
Love and hate are very much mixed together for you. You are prone to love-hate relationships with others, likely because your passions are such that the old saying “there’s a fine line between love and hate” rings especially true for you. Some level of competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst is present in your romantic relationships. Although you are quick to anger, you are generally just as quick to forget about it.
\r\n -36 Square Venus - Jupiter
She is nonchalant, pretentious, full of self-importance. She likes what is beautiful and sometimes ostentatious, and spends lots of money for the sake of appearances. She likes to please and has numerous amorous adventures. She is unfaithful and undergoes tribulations in love.
Mars represents the desire for action and physical energy.
Mars in Taurus
“Slow and steady wins the race” could easily be a motto for Mars in Taurus. These goal-oriented people are not known for their speed, but their staying power is tremendous. Generally calm and easygoing people, Mars in Taurus natives can have powerful tempers when they’re overly provoked. They generally don’t fly off the handle as quickly as others, however (unless Aries is prominent in their chart). Mars in Taurus people value strength and stability. They are driven by security and an especial fondness for personal possessions. Most are not afraid to work for what they want, and there is an overall patience to this position of Mars. If it takes a few years to achieve their goals, so be it. People born under a Mars in Taurus are often rather sensual people. Some are slow to arousal, but theirs is an earthy and powerful sensuality.
Most have well-defined long-term goals and the determination to achieve them. They usually are not the type of people to take on too many projects at once. If they don’t think they can do it, they won’t! It is almost impossible to get these people moving once they’ve made up their minds on a matter. You want them to go shopping with you? Unfortunately for you, about half an hour back, they’ve kicked up their heels, changed into something comfortable, and they simply won’t budge. Immovable is the only way to describe Mars in Taurus people who have made up their minds. Adaptability is not their strong point. In a similar vein, attempting to rush Mars in Taurus people is a lesson in frustration. They won’t alter their pace for most anything. If you can get past these “quirks”, however, you’ll find that Mars in Taurus natives are often quite reliable and strong personalities. It may just be worth the wait!
Mars in II
She undertakes daring and dangerous enterprises. She has lots of initiative. She works hard for her money, of which she earns a lot. She is a spendthrift, money comes and goes. She is always ready to start from scratch in the event of a setback. Great willingness and enthusiasm.
You are likely to be a hard worker, although you appreciate the process and might be slower than some as you focus on the method and tend to each step deliberately and carefully. You love to produce things of practical value. You are ambitious when it comes to making money and acquiring possessions, but you might be impatient or impulsive when it comes to spending. You can be quite possessive, both of material things and of people. You like a physical challenge, and your physical abilities and energy make up a strong part of your sense of self-worth. You like to work independently, or you value things most when you have achieved something on your own. The world of the five senses is most important to you on sensual and sexual levels. You have a hearty appetite with strong stamina. You defend your values fervently.
62 Conjunction Mars - Jupiter
She has a good sense of organization, she is jovial, frank and sincere. She is full of dynamism and over-abundant energy. She loves life and takes all it has to offer. She likes sports and the outdoor life. She is successful professionally and emotionally. She usually has lots of children.
She is honest and forthright in her dealings with others, and she tends to trust others readily. She can be a bit careless about spending money, however, and this is probably because she is so eternally optimistic that there will always be plenty around. The possibility of failure does not enter her mind, although success itself is not that important to her.
-70 Opposition Mars - Pluto
You have a tendency to impose your will upon others, which can cause severe problems for yourself when they react in self-defense. You have a hair-trigger temper and may even resort to verbal or physical abuse when upset. Learning to react to unpleasant circumstances with your intellect rather than your emotions comes with maturity.
It is all too easy for you to find something negative about a situation. Avoid issuing ultimatums when you meet an obstacle. Instead, find a way to convince others to work with you of their own free will. Ordinary life often seems drab and uninteresting to you and you must have something that stirs your imagination, some vision or ideal or dream to motivate you. You have a strong urge to act out your fantasies or to live your dream, and you will DO things that others only talk about or dream about. Artistic creation, drama, or other areas in which you can express yourself imaginatively are excellent for you.
You do not easily tolerate a dominating attitude in others. You have a healthy respect for power and authority, but only if it is handled fairly.
This aspect gives you a somewhat Scorpionic attitude toward your lovers, and it can modify the traits associated with the sign of your Mars considerably. In other words, there is a distinct possessive and demanding streak in your sexual nature. Your approach to love and sex can be quite intense at times. Your sexual desire nature is a very strong one, and you may even use sex as a bargaining chip in your relationships in order to achieve your goals. More likely, however, is a very focused and intense sexual nature. This also adds a very magnetic quality to your appeal. When a woman finds you attractive, it can transform into a near obsession! Your aura is strong and somewhat mysterious. You tend to come across as stronger than you intend. In fact, some people are intimidated by you, and you may not understand why this is so. When you want something (or someone!) you are very determined. For you, it can be “all or nothing”. When you are finished with something, you leave it behind you and there is no going back. You want a deep, soulful attachment on a sexual level. In your love life you do not take rejection well. You fear betrayal and abandonment, and this can skew your perception of your lover. You have a highly developed sex drive, but you must learn to rein in your aggressiveness in this area. Power struggles and control issues may surface often in your relationships. You perceive the cruel edge in people, and understand its source. Self-confidence develops out of self-control in your interaction with others.
Jupiter represents expansion and grace.

She attracts the most good fortune when she is charitable, generous but discriminating, and patient. Watch for over-indulgence. Delights in sensual pleasures and wants the good life.

• Ascendant In Aries •
People with Aries Ascendants are direct and quick. Their first instinct is to do, rather than think. Planning ahead? Forget it. Aries rising simply charges forward without much ado. This position does not make a person aggressive. Forthright, yes, but aggression is too strong a word for these natives. They have a youthful, direct manner that sees what it wants and generally goes for it. At the same time, there isn’t any malice in their intent. Some Aries rising people are competitive, but they generally put most of the pressure on themselves. These people love to come out ahead in all that they do. They get ready quickly, walk quickly, and have little patience for dilly-dallying. Their temper is quick, too. It’s also quick to disappear. Rarely do you find Aries rising people holding grudges. Their mannerisms are rather simple and straightforward.
Aries rising loves action, and is often trying to stir up some activity. Their strengths lie in their enterprising ways. Finishing things they start does not always come as easily, unless the ruler, Mars, is placed in a more tenacious sign, such as Taurus or Scorpio. Aries Ascendant often gives a rather swift walk, with the head leaning forward slightly. This walk is surprisingly distinctive. Headaches, and sinus and eye problems are the usual physical complaints of this position. Rashes and acne on the face and shoulders sometimes occur. Broad shoulders and slim hips are common. Often, Aries rising people are quick to smile, and they possess a youthful charm throughout life. Probably early on in life, Aries rising people got typecast as the “independent” child. As adults, people with Aries Ascendants often stick to that role in life. People don’t run to help them out – they appear quite fine doing things on their own. These people have learned to be self-reliant, and this generally stems from their early experiences. Despite a rather brusque and independent manner, these natives are usually very willing to compromise in their relationships, and are very attached to the people they hold dear.

Venus
Venus is a song inspired by ‘The Birth of Venus’, a painting by Sandro Botticelli.
She describes it as a hybrid of different things:
‘’(...) this song is a hybrid of a couple different things. One of those things is Venus, the goddess of love, as we know in Roman and Greek mythology; and then, it’s also about the planets. So, this song is about faith, but it’s also about finding faith in other places — in the beyond — and, my experience with love being something that took me a really long time to find.’’
She further stated: ‘’So, this song’s really about sex, but it’s about sex in the most mythological way.’’
To better understand her inspiration, let’s take a quick look at the mythology of Venus:
In Roman mythology, Venus was the goddess of love, sex, beauty and fertility. She combined physical and intellectual love. In the Greek mythology, however, the goddess of all those things was Aphrodite. Not only that: she was also the goddess of victory, fertility and prostitution.
This is interesting because Gaga mentions both goddesses in the song, deepening its meaning.
The planets in the solar system were named after gods, so she plays with a lot of symbolism here. Of course we have to reach a little here because we can’t know for sure if she actually thought about the different planets and what they stand for while writing the song, but knowing Gaga and her master mind, there’s a high chance that she did!
So, let’s analyse the lyrics!
‘Rocket # 9 take off to the planet, to the planet, Venus’
The story behind this part is sort of a chain reference: it directly took on the lyrics from the 1960’s song ‘Rocket Number 9’ by Sun Ra, which was later covered by Zombie Zombie (Venus also samples this song musically) - the song basically consists of those few words on repeat. ‘Rocket Number Nine’ is also the name of an ‘all-purpose external rocket-camera that orbits or is deployed around the Satellite of Love' in the 1988’s movie ‘Mystery science theatre 3000’.
Since Gaga stated that the song is also about planets and love, this could be her way of saying ‘Hey, I think I’m falling in love with you. Let’s run away to planet number nine, even beyond cloud number nine.’
If we look at the planet Venus as the planet of women, it can be seen as a reference to her bisexuality - this is being underlined by several metaphors throughout the song.
‘Aphrodite lady seashell bikini, garden panty, Venus’
This is a direct reference to the painting by Botticelli, where the goddess stands -nude - inside of a seashell in the ocean (which might also be the reason for the ‘sea theme’ that Gaga continuously used during the ARTPOP era). According to the mythology, Venus was born out of sea foam and came ashore on a shell. The girl on the right of the painting wants to cover her with a flowery mantle. In the back of the painting, you can see a forest.
Knowing all of this, it’s pretty easy to understand that Gaga views herself, metaphorically, as Venus/Aphrodite: she is proud to be a woman and owns it. Instead of standing inside of the shell she stranded in, she wears it and covers only her mount with blooming flowers to represent the beauty of femininity (and, of course, this could also be a metaphor for pubic hair = refusing to cover up) because she is not afraid of surrendering to her lover in her full glory (anymore). That would explain why she uses Aphrodite instead of Venus, since she’s also the goddess of victory, as we established earlier!
In the modern context, she’s owning her femininity and feels sexy. She adds a ‘get with me’ right before the pre-chorus, inviting her lover to be with her.
Let's blast off to a new dimension, in your bedroom, Venus’
Well, she’s obviously talking about mind-blowing sex here, probably using the ‘blast off into a new dimension’ as a metaphor for the climax (in her lover’s bedroom). At the same time it’s a fun wordplay with the rocket reference.
‘I can't help the way I'm feeling, Goddess of love please take me to your leader’
She obviously can’t control her desire. If we take back into view the theory that this song has some sapphic undertones, this could mean two things: either she can’t help desiring the woman of her longing, thus accepting her sexuality and embracing it. Or she’s talking to her stronger self - the ‘goddess of love’ - and calls her for guidance. In addition, ’Take me to your leader’ is a sci-fi catchphrase used by aliens, indicating that she has arrived on the planet Venus. Everything she feels is new to her.
‘I can't help I keep on dancin, goddess of love, take me to your planet, your venus’’
She surrenders and follows her drive. Throughout her discography, Gaga often uses ‘dancing’ as a metaphor for sex and masturbation.
‘When you touch me I die, just a little inside, I wonder if this could be love’
This is Gaga explaining her feelings with the kind of love she has never experienced before. It’s the same feeling she describes in ‘Perfect Illusion’: ‘I don’t need eyes to see, I felt you touching me, high like amphetamine, maybe you’re just a dream’. Perfect Illusion also picked up the last lyric, as she discovered that ‘it wasn’t love’.
'Cause you're out of this world, galaxy, space and time, I wonder if this could be love’
Her lover is out of this world, galaxy, space and time and Gaga feels like she’s dying a little inside whenever they touch her. She’s equating them with a god(ess). Could this be love?
‘have an oyster, baby, It’s Aphrod-isy, act sleazy’
Oysters are known to be an aphrodisiac, increasing sexual desire. She wants her lover to start acting dirty.
Oh, and someone stated that oyster is a metaphor for vagina (which isn’t too far off to be honest, if you ask me).
‘worship to the land, a girl from the planet’
As explained earlier, Venus was born on earth, but she is a goddess after all (a girl from the planet). She was a gift to earth (worship to the land) to spread love and sex. If I remember correctly, Gaga once mentioned that she sometimes feels like an alien in the music industry. So metaphorically, she could be encouraging the world to worship her, because she lives for the applause.
The bridge is quite interesting because Gaga didn’t list the planets and the gods they represent in the correct order of the solar system.
Looking at the order she put them in, this could unfold a new side of the story. Of course this doesn’t necessarily have to have a deeper meaning, but we should think about all the possible reasons as to why she did that. Even though each planet represents a god, I believe that Gaga focused more on the astrological symbolism here (I highlighted the different meanings and they sum up the essential struggles in Gaga’s life).
‘Neptune, go’ Neptune was the god of the sea (which symbolises faith). Astrologically, Neptune symbolises time: past, present and future. It also represents dreams. She lets go of her past…
‘now serve, Pluto’ …and embraces her power. Pluto was the god of the underworld. This could represent her fear of death and mental health struggles. Astrologically, Pluto stands for deep psyche and hidden power.
‘Saturn’ Stands for wealth, which could be metaphorical for her career and the struggles she has to face. Astrologically, Saturn stands for dominance, power & charge.
‘Jupiter’ Is the god of sky and thunder, which could represent her trauma; astrologically it stands for growth and healing.
'Mercury, Venus, uh ha!’ Mercury stands for boundaries and communication and astrologically represents the power of words. Mercury is neither feminine, nor masculine - it amplifies whatever it’s connected to. So in this context, this line clearly describes her bisexuality (she is Venus and the gender of her lover doesn’t matter). On a deeper level, this can be seen as a reference to Born This Way and the power its lyrics had, helping her and so many other people embrace their sexual orientation.
‘Uranus!’ Is the god of the sky. As Gaga sings in ‘Sine from Above’, music has always saved her. No matter if she’s talking about god or music sine waves here, it’s clear that it represents her faith in this context. In the astrological sense, it represents being weird, art, shock value.
‘Don't you know my ass is famous?’ This one is connected to the line before, Gaga obviously knows how much we love her bum and likes to show it. I think this is meant as a fun response to the criticism she faces for her art from the general public.
‘Mars’ Is war, masculinity and youth. She’s been at war with herself for so long and many people, especially men, have hurt her.
‘Now serve for the gods, earth, serve for the stars!’ She’s letting go of all of it and drowns herself in her art and love. Earth is feminine and stands for infinite creativity.
To get every layer of the song, we need to briefly look at the surroundings, too.
There were three different cover art versions for the single:
In the first one, Gaga has a scorpion on her face and a deep cut above her left breast. It was inspired by Marina Abramovic, who posed with the animal as a homage to feminist Frida Kahlo, who originally posed with a monkey. The scorpion stands for death, disease and danger. On the cover of the Candy Magazine in 2013/2014, Gaga wore a scorpion on her left boob.
The second one is a bit more abstract and if you look closely, you can see Gaga as a dead bat. The bat symbolises death and rebirth.
The third cover shows Gaga standing naked in the bathroom with a Venus clam in her mouth. The Venus Clam represents women, art, music, relationships, and was perceived as deeply creative.
All of this adds to the theory of the astrological meaning of the planets: Gaga is ready to be reborn and start a new life, possibly with her lover that she is now ready to surrender to.
Almost every time she performed the song, it was notable that she barely wore any clothes. Mostly, her outfit consisted of a seashell bra and a garden panty, that had only minor changes done for different performances. One exception was her performance on Smap x Smap in Japan, where she wore a body embroidered with flowers (another reference to the painting by Botticelli).
On one occasion at a gay club, she even stripped completely naked. At the X Factor, she wore nothing but a nude bikini and during her performance on Graham Norton, she additionally only had female dancers on the stage.
Another two things that are mentionable, are the long and bushy, blonde wigs that she wore in most of her performances and the fact that whenever she showed herself naked, she hadn’t shaved her pubic hair. All of those things add depth to the topic of the song, as she’s fully embracing her femininity. And lastly: the ‘V’ symbol she formed with her hands obviously stands for Venus, but now that we know about the more subtle topics within the song, you can let your imagination run wild *wink*.
