I know people in the fandom have talked to death about this topic, but there really is something so poetic and cathartic about InuYasha being so obsessed with getting the shikon jewel for himself to become a full-fledged demon in the beginning of the story, to not giving a crap about it at all and even going as far as to fight the jewel itself in order protect the people he loves. Especially Kagome. And in the end, he got everything he ever wanted and needed because of that change. Everything he thought he could get by gaining more power and becoming full demon.
I know it sounds cliche as hell, but it's true. Just think how much better the world would be in real life if people led with their hearts instead of their need for power.

Naraku is living rent free in my head and man it’s been like 7 years since I’ve watched Inuyasha.

I’ll never get over the Shikon no Tama being the actual villain of the series it’s one of the greatest twists that should seem so OBVIOUS when you think about it because who ever said that an amalgamation of souls could not be sentient??
Like do not get me wrong Naraku is still very much a villain for the majority of the series but the revelation that he was just being puppeteered by the Shikon? The fact that he hid behind wooden puppets, evolving to puppeteering his own detachments and other people, only to be a puppet to something else instead????

been thinking a lot about who could have founded the Higurashi shrine... like the village was already there near the bone eater's well, which so happens to be the well that is in Higurashi Shrine (and so is the tree that InuYasha gets bound to), so at what point Kagome or one of her descendants decided to build the temple in InuYasha's forest? to be fair i have only read the manga and gone up to 100-something episodes of the anime, i haven't watched any of the movies so i don't know if it's mentioned, but i googled it a bunch of times and nothing came up so i'm assuming it's not something really talked about? it could also just be common knowledge and i'm an idiot so don't mind me

Why didn't Zero use the Sacred Jewel to wish Toga back to life instead of using it to create the Rainbow Pearls?

Question time: if Kagome was born with the sacred jewel inside her, does that mean Mama Higurashi did as well while Kagome was chilling in the womb? Or did it just ✨ manifest ✨ upon her birth? Surely it wasn't the apple in her dad's eye?

(me, deranged) i think that for my iteration of sessnara, they're hot and cold allies w a little bit of scheming and betrayal peppered in, to reluctant friends with a lot of conflicting and intense emotions. to enemies (because naraku is absolutely going to betray sesshomaru ), to very bitter exes. to confused pining, to tragic realization at the very end.
