If you play a Viera, you've probably noticed that your beloved WoL doesn't quite look the same- specifically the nose, and to a lesser extent with their eyes.

That's all pointed out and discussed in the thread. And yes, I did voice my opinion to it 🙃

I'm trying to find some comparison screenies of my bunboi and fembun to contribute here.

The thing I was worried about, and still kind of am even after going through the benchmark- is the strange "shine" you see on bunboi's noses in certain areas, or at random times. I couldn't find any rhyme or reason to why or when this would happen 🤷🏻‍♀️

We were also shown a preview of bunboi's with their nose like 7 shades darker than their skin tone and that didn't sit well with me. Between that and the shine? No. Just no.

Another thing I noticed in the benchmark is that they removed the colored eyelashes from Face 1 (the face I'm using on my bunboi). It's literally like, 1 of the 2 primary reasons I chose this face to begin with. (They usually match your hair color.)

You can see some of this "so called shine" in some of these, but it's not as bad as I thought it'd be originally. I guess I can live with it and over time I'll probably get used to it.

I can probably even get over the fact that his white eyelashes are gone, though I'll miss them. I don't know... 😖

I do appreciate the updated quality of the hair, and the iris/eyes, and his facial feathers. I also like that the added "lip color" I gave him appears to be matte and not a gloss, but I'm not sure how other people will like that, lol.

ALSO. There's a very specific scene in the benchmarker that shows your WoL's face so much better but for some strange stupid reason you cannot take screenies during it. I feel like SE really let the ball slip there.

There's probably a reason for it, and then again there might not be- because if I really wanted to, there are loop holes and I could still get those screenshots if I had more time, Lol 😅

I don't have a plethora of screenshots of my fembun like I do of my bunboi- but looking at my fembun specifically I'm realizing her bunny nose doesn't seem that prominent, even now? I guess I thought it was defined more 🤔. Perhaps it's the lighting of this specific shot.

I was going through this phase of changing her hair color from red to yin yang colors, back to red, back to yin yang, rinse & repeat, so...

Dawntrail Benchmarker 👆🏻

Again, I appreciate the high quality in the iris/eyes, hair, facial features- like her tattoos.

It does seem like the highlights in her eyes get a little lost, if that makes sense? The anime type white reflection. Not just for her but for my bunboi too. I think that goes for all character now- I've seen this commented about all across Twitter (yeah I know it's called X, but I'll never call it X).

Her bunny nose seems to disappear in many scenes and then it "seems" to be there in some scenes. I don't know what to make of it.

I feel so wishy washy with this graphics update. There are parts I like and parts I dislike. At this point I'm wondering if it's that whole mentality of "People dislike change" / "People fear the unknown" and over time we'll get used to it.

But also, I've seen some comparisons of people's characters and the overall appearance, the overall vibe of their character has totally shifted. It's understandable they're upset.

I want to offer a couple of pieces of advice here. If you have any commentary to add about Vieras (or any other characters really- like moon kitties got royally shafted on their fangs)- please visit that thread and put your two cents in. Hopefully SE will see it and potentially listen to the community feedback. But in the case of Moon kitties, there's likely a respective thread for them so you'll have to seek out that thread.

The other thing is, take advantage of this benchmarker in tandem with our free fantasia (coming soon). I feel the character creation screen does not properly display what our characters are going to look like once ingame. Do not take the character creation screen at face value. Create and/or modify your character in the benchmarker (you can save your character data). Play it out- make sure you're happy with how they look in the benchmarker. Then go on and use that fantasia. You can load the saved data from the benchmarker into the real game. (unless they changed things, which I highly doubt)

Very interesting observation about the ring! I am, in general, fairly minimalist when it comes to my jewellery. I like clean, simple, geometric stuff generally. Yeah, i think twitter seems hyped, at least whenever i go on there lol, but like looking at AO3 there's just not much there, and ppl just are not nearly as responsive. Like comments wise, kudos wise, anything like that like i published RIP Luv, and its very interesting to compare it to my earlier works and the responses they got. I don't think it's bc of the subject matter tbh, it's just the fandom, slowly dying. It's very sad :( I like to write and I'm always happy to especially if i get an idea that i can't let go of but i'd be lying if i said part of it wasn't also about seeing ppl interact with my work! It always makes me happy to see ppl enjoy it or give commentary and feedback!

You have really put in words what I felt about Sakura's slightly negative perception of her own magic. It had roots going back as far as episode 2 of CCS once someone rewatches the anime but it is true that Sakura was never completely comfortable with her magic. She rarely complained (or at least tried her best not to) about being the Cardcaptor or the Card Mistress but it was clear that she preferred normalcy over magical adventures. Looking forward to your SS post!

They skipped them on purpose, I'm sure!! 😖cause that was too juicy of an information 😂 Lol, the funny thing is that Momo says in one of the Drama CDs that Kaito is basically immune to alcohol...he would never get drunk, no matter how much he drinks! But he's diligent and never drinks because he's constantly working.....! (yeah yeah, I think the real reason is that alcohol would've inhibited his restraints and cause him to be honest with his feelings way sooner than how long he actually took😂) I can totally see him getting extraordinarily tipsy during a lunar eclipse, and nooooo, I think not even Akiho and Sakura would be able to restrain those boys from feeling the effects of the eclipse 😂😂😂 I don't have particular headcanons for Syaoran.....but wait, maybe he becomes particularly whiny and clingy with Sakura??? So much that she's got a hard time recognizing him hahahahah 😂

Thank you so much for reading and appreciating my third Clear Card Trivia post!! I can totally understand Sakura being reluctant and "distant" from the whole magic matter in the beginning, but after all the adventures and stuff that happened in between, after learning to love the Cards and taking responsibility for their survival...it's kinda strange to see her like that at the beginning of Clear Card. And it's totally legit from a narrative POV because CLAMP had to start somewhere, to show Sakura's growth in that aspect. I'm really glad I could witness that journey!

I usually don't write here, I feel more like posting on Twitter but I think it gets short with putting all of my thoughts in one place so here I go...

It saddens me seeing how the series current focus is not in the "right characters".. it's sad to see people say that they don't feel for the characters that are dying... That just show how much importance the writers had given to them.. and now they are killing them but still getting the focus to other characters that shouldn't have that much of involvement or importance with this plot (Yuga?, Asaka, Yuna, Yuhi, Rovian..)😮‍💨

Like, it's ok to have episodes like 92 with the message of Bochi and Manya.. but episodes like 93 and 94 where duels were just meaningless with Luge and Zion because at the end Zion ended up doing what he was refusing at the beginning even when he won.. and Rovian that just started the duel out of a tantrum of not wanting to believe her idol changed 🤨 Where do the Velgearians fit in there? And don't let me start with the 7s references and callbacks that are non stop now..😑 like, I know this was since the begining with the reveal of the creator that had Otes' voice and then the relic/door thing, I tolerated that since it was said that the creator was an earthdama and they were just there, no other 7s strong connection or whatsoever, but now they are almost tying everything to Yuga and the previous series that it's annoying...

And more annoying than that is seeing that, again, this arc theme being "Velgearians disappearing" and we just see them die while they do nothing about it and the only ones that are trying to do something are the earthlings (7s variants/ancestors at most), the focus is on them and not Yuudias or Zwijou...

We don't know where is Zwijou, although it's already common for him to appear for a chapter or two and delight us with his presence, this should be a time for him to be more active like he was at the second part of the previous arc or more... I mean Phaser is there... Where's Zwijou?

And then there's Yuudias who hasn't done something that impactful since arc 6 and has been almost a shadow for almost all of this season just getting active when it's time for the final duel of the arc BEING THE PROTAGONIST!!! His treat is the worst if you ask me (along with Yuamu but that's another story) there was a time in the cat episodes where the characters expressed how much trust they have in him and also a bit when Zwijou had to convince them that he's the key to defeat Kwaidul. Before that they practically didn't care...😥

With each episode it pass and spoiler that comes I realize more and more that this series doesn't care about it's protagonist (the protagonist seems to be Yuhi fhfh 😖 and that's another problem I maybe aboard in other post if I feel like it). And to be honest, I'm getting really disappointed to see that Yuga without even appearing, Yuna or Rovian are being more important than Yuudias at this point, it's not ok and I might stop watching the show if this continues.

Not that anyone cares either but I wanted to say how sad and disappointed I am with the series at its second season.

It’s the public slut shaming of their girlfriends that’s a 🚩 for me. That is just not done. If you’re wanting to demand respect from someone, show them respect too. Publicly shaming someone you have a relationship with is not the way to earn respect. It’s actually pretty cowardly. Like if you have something to say, be a real man and say it to her directly and privately and have an adult discussion about it.

Getting jealous in and of itself isn't necessarily the problem.... there may be valid reasons for the feeling, maybe feelings of neglect, or just baggage from previous rlshps that you need to personally sort out. I mean, it's a HUMAN emotion, so it's not necessarily wrong or "evil" to feel that way sometimes.

But the PUBLIC shaming of your gf and airing out your dirty laundry for the whole world to see instead of just speaking to her directly about it, OR (which is more likely), taking to Twitter and STILL fussing about things you and your gf have obviously already talked about is just awful imo. 😖

10 — HISUI. Hisui. hisui. People are VERY WRONG about Hisui to the point where it has become fanon and the thing they are most wrong about is how long ago Legends takea place. I’ve come to realize one of the recent things I don’t enjoy about idol/kpop fandom is this fixation on the brand deals and ambassadorships an idol gets and focusing on the business aspect of their career as stanning fodder. Like I’m happy for them and I look forward to seeing the ad cause it’ll have their photo or a clip of them. But this fixation on how these deals are a measure of their popularity and wealth and the fixation on the internal business mechanics of it all is just…. So uninteresting and even though I know this will sound snobby… I think it’s all so vulgar.

I guess it’s because this kinda fixation isn’t focused on stanning the idol as an artist. I like stanning an artist and following their art/craft so focusing on music, dancing, the drama or movie they acted in, if it’s an ad then focus on the creative aspects of the modeling, makeup, and styling. Not the business aspect of it. I stan an artist, not a business plan, not a contract, not a marketing strategy.

Can we focus on the art? The artist and what they’ve put out as their creative work into the world? Hell… talk about their friendships or brotherhood or personality or some funny things they did or said if you want to because that is a big part of fandom too, just stupid fun stuff. At least it’s something that can make you feel and it’s about connection to something or someone.

Focusing on what the brand’s pr team is doing, what other professionals behind the scenes are doing, the revenue supposedly gained by the company from these ads, the ad engagement numbers, gaging the idols popularity with the gp based on number of ads and brand deals blah blah blah 😖😖😖 this shit is so fcking mind numbing!

Like you’re gonna go up to him and be like “im such a fan and admire your number of IG/Twitter engagements on that one ad!” ..???? Is this what being a fan is now because it wasn’t like this not that long ago? Why are we talking about some multinational company’s pr team because of some IG post? 😖😵‍💫🫠

This kind of stanning is really widespread in Kai fandom and some other fandoms too. Call me dramatic, but I think it treats him like a commodity (an economic good/product) instead of an artist talking about him/his career that way. And I guess some smart person can argue all idols are commodities or whatever and that we treat them that way already and I’d probably reblog that shit 🙄 but whatever…. And I also realize it’s not like someone can’t talk about that, imo useless stuff as far as stanning an idol/artist, and talk about the artistic side or fun/silly side too. What I’m saying is that the amount of time and focus on the non-artistic side of things that I just described is way up these days and it makes fandom soulless and unenjoyable.
