Kobra Kid headcannon that has been floating around in my brain for a bit:

So we all know that out of the Fab 4 Jet Star, the default caregiver of the group. He breaks up arguments/ fights, keeps everyone nourished and functioning, and basically just keeps his three comrads from dying at the hand of their own stupidity. It is also thought that Star is the medic of the group, but he is not and would probably be the worst out of the four. It is rather Kobra Kid who is responsible for the patching up and healing aspect of their operation, and this is for multiple reasons. Firstly, everyone else would be absolutely horrible at the job. Star has an innate fear and dislike of seeing other people's blood. His caring nature makes it really difficult for him to see others hurting. He can usually cope when it comes to pseudo-battles with BL, but once the adrenaline of the fight is worn off, if he sees blood, he will faint. Of course, poison and Goul can barely be considered as they are typically the ones with the worst and most frequent injuries. That leaves Kid to mend his haphazard companions. Secondly, he is just REALLY fucking good at it. His quiet nature means that he is intuitive af and can tell exactly where and how someone is hurt before they can even tell him, and it doesn't matter how good someone is at hiding pain, he can smell it from a mile away. His hands are ridiculously steady, and his bedside manner is 100000% en pointe. Despite his signature awkwardness, when it comes to doctoring people, he can start a conversation about anything and get you invested enough that you forget you're in pain. He's practically a legend throughout the zones, and Killjoys from all over will come specifically to see him.

Time and time again, people prove themselves to be dirty liars when they're one too many cocktails deep, suddenly spewing rhetoric that directly contradicts whatever careful image they've spent their time curating, having their fear and inhibitions dulled and their aggression and confidence sharpened.

Thomas likes to think of himself as a rather level-headed person. Despite his reputation for brutal violence, outbursts are rare, especially in public places like the Garrison. More often than not, he lets things slide, and that tends to be a more effective deterrent than actual physical intervention. Most people cower once he's met their gaze and looked them up and down, nodded his head, and said something to the effect of "I know where your mother lives."

Every now and again, though, someone unfamiliar with the Peaky Blinders comes through, or someone familiar with them gets too drunk to keep their mouth shut. Every now and again, someone forgets themselves. Every now and again, Tommy is backed into a corner and forced to remind people of the reasons behind his unsavory reputation.

Tommy says it far too loudly, letting his voice carry throughout the pub, making sure everyone with a working ear canal is made aware of the statement.

Slowly the lively din of the Garrison fades as people turn to watch, holding their drinks like anchors in a stormy sea, as the group of newcomers look at each other with toothy grins that announce their utter disregard for the unspoken threat in Thomas's voice.

"That's your brother ? Thought it was your attack dog."

"Are you laughing at my dog ?"

The silence reaches a breaking point, the atmosphere pulled tight like a rubber band about to snap. The bartender looks nervously between the group of Irishmen and Tommy, then over to Genevieve.

Over time she's become a regular here, and she's one of the only people that he's ever seen Thomas Shelby actually begin a conversation with, let alone tolerate. It's clear that he believes she's the only person in the room capable of de-escalating the situation, and just as clear that he feels no guilt in placing all of the responsibility on her.

A few of the other patrons pick up on the bartender's intentions and also shift their gaze to Gen, some to silently beg her to cast some magic spell to put a stop to the growing conflict, and others just to see what she's going to do in response.
