Just received my second plushie and pendant from @a-magpie-in-gravesfield, and I'm so happy right now! The plushie is unbelievably soft and huggable, and it’s now hanging out with the first one.

I meant to finish and post some art before making this post, but I got too excited. Couldn't resist sharing how thrilled I am that everything arrived safe and sound yet again, and just on time! I’m still as in love as ever with the letter and the wax seals it came with, but could we talk about the bag? It’s the most beautiful bag I’ve ever seen. /lh

He flopped face-first onto the bed after his long journey, and honestly, he looks so goofy like that. He’s just so husband and precious to me, I'll keep showering him with kisses and love forever.

PK letting some of his animalistic behaviours out whenever one of his children is endangered 👀

Doesn't even use his magic or weapons just goes straight to mauling in his rage

Truly animalistic appearance and noises, being on all fours (...sixes?) and with his mandibles out, snarling and letting out a growl that shakes the very ground they stand on

And then just as quickly he returns back to his upright stance and stoic demeanor, flicking his long tongue out to lick the blood around his eyes off and calmly asks somebody to clean the corpses up

I don't think FaaF PK might be the kind of man who would execute Xero when he was very clearly infected unless he thought he was a lost cause, ik that's what happened in canon but it's an AU so I think I'm allowed to change that. I've already made PV have a secret queer romance and have the fact they're not hollow be outed before the sealing, I think PK not wanting to execute a terminally I'll guy of not sound mind for treason isn't out of the question.

Unless one of his children got caught up in the crossfire, then his instincts would kick in before his rational brain would. And it'd be a much more violent and cooler way for him to go out. And although he's not proud of what he did, PK decides the damage has been done already, might as well show it off as an example of what happens to traitors. Robs a dead man of his dignity even post death because it's the more convenient option.

NOT canon compliant I don't think. Don't take this as my take of what happened in canon and how canon PK would react, I just think it's cool ✨️ I might absolutely turn back on this idea though I just like it atm

On one hand he did attack the #crown and PK cant have people thinking they can just attempt a hit on him or his family or assiociates and get away with it. But on another #he was infected and so might not be able to stand trial or be pardoned because hes not of sound mind and PK doesnt want the potential PR #nightmare of going too hard on him or executing a severely ill man. Decisions decisions #However i do ADORE PK going absolutely feral and i like to give people around him that despite his pretty good mimicry he is still very much #NOT a human. even if he looks close to one.#So for now Xero getting torn apart by a viscious apex predator hellbent on protecting its youg it is #also. Lonan has stopped paddling. The canoe sits in the middle of the lake, lifeless like a bone in the water. He’s turned so Harrison sees him in profile and can’t tell if it’s relieving or worrying to see his face. Lonan’s jaw is taut, like there are words he wants to say but can’t. Filling up the hollow bone. He blinks slowly, like he’s trying to re-centre himself, his chest quivering with breaths meant to steady him. The water laps at the base of the canoe, whirling like his head. Dark hair tangles down his cheeks like the fingers of a poltergeist.

“You knew my mother was here,” Lonan says.

“Yes.”

“How?”

“Research.”

A while back I had an exchange with another Hollow Knight fan about Lurien and the type of bug he is and the subject of butterfly moths came up, which are moths that look and behave like butterflies. From there I ended up looking up more about moths that mimic the appearance of other bugs, and found that there are quite a few types. This gave me an idea of a Hollow Knight AU where the general population is a bit more hostile and prejudice against the moth tribe. In this AU, there are 3 factions of moths:

The first group never turned away from the Radiance and actively scorn the Pale King, refusing to acknowledge his rule. The second group try to find a balance between the Pale King and Radience, and the third group completely turned away from Radiance for the Pale King. There is a lot of strife between these 3 factions, with arguments about preserving their culture and traditions vs. adapting them to fit the current time period vs. abandoning them entirely and adopting the practices of the new dominate culture.

The resistance of some of the moth tribe, along with the fact that it is their goddess who is the Pale King’s enemy does not make them popular in Hollownest. However, some rare moth species are fortunate enough that they look like other species of bugs and are able to get by. One of these is Lurien, who is in the uncomfortable position of trying to keep this secret from the Pale King and the rest of the Court, fearing that he could loose all he worked so hard for. He also hopes he may be able to use his influence do something for the rest of the Moth Tribe to halt the prejudice practiced against them.

Adding to Lurien’s anxiety is the few other mimics living in Hollownest. Their mimicry is good, but not perfect. If one of them slips and is discovered, bugs will realize that mimics outside of nosks exist and they may start investigating. This could be very dangerous for all of them as there would be accusations of spying and conspiracy. For Lurien, high treason can also be added to this list....

....and in the Dream Realm the Radiance lurks, and she is angry....
